the number one tip i can offer to every writer out there is to change the font before you finalize
go ahead and write and rewrite that draft, but before you submit it to wherever you're wanting to, change the font before you do so and re-read and analyze it. 9/10 you'll notice a mistake you didn't before or change something you now realize doesn't fit as well
staring at the same text for too long will make your brain normalize and gloss over easy mistakes to correct bc you've been looking at it for too long, so changing the font and seeing the shape of the words change will instantly make the draft seem like something new to your brain
#its that phenomenon of publishing and then finding three different mistakes you never noticed before#and then having to either take it down or edit the whole thing even though people have already taken a gander at the work#comic sans is fun for creative flow if youre stuck (thanks tumblr for that trick) but in general just changing the font#every now and again works wonders#writing#writing tip#im sure someone has already said this before but ill put it out there anyway

There's a phenomenal that I don't know if it's a UT AU community only or not but the longer an au is out there's the more that au changes? Not that it changes but the fandom distorts the au to a point where that change is accepted as canon, Not by the creator of the au, but by the fandom. Error considered edgy or horror a cannibal, it's kinda cool when you think about it, but I think no au this phenomenal has happened this much as with PJ and Gradient
Why don't we play a little game? I'm gonna say two character descriptions and you guess which of these two I'm talking about.
One is a 14 year old and are basically the sans version of a DeviantArt kid, Taking this from their creators blog : "They can't help but create but everything they makes is never good enough or it looks terrible to them. so they will try to delete their work not long after with a few exceptions." And "they are like a 13 year old deviantart user that creates bad recolor characters for under novella and brags that their work is the best while hating it at the same time." they currently live in the omega timeline.
The other is a 24 year old, they should be 21 but they took 3 years to be born so they kinda jumped from 21 to 24, they can alter their form only slightly, for their personality their own creator described them as more monotoned, and less expressive/more serious, though they can open up to individuals over a long period of time, they are still curious about the world around them and can bring child like awe wonder/emotion to specific events/situations, they also do vent art and destroy it not long after.
And their most famous ship is with fresh...
....
IN WHAT WORLD IS GRADIENT 14?? AND WHAT EVEN CRAZIER WORLD IS PAPER JAM 24??? WHAT THE HELL IS UP WITH THAT? THE FANDOM TAUGHT ME PJ WAS A UWU BOI, NOT A DEPRESSED ONE. WHAT DID DOCTOR STRANGE FUCK UP SO NOW IN THIS TIMELINE PJ IS OLDER THAN GRADIENT??? I CAN'T BE THE ONLY ONE WHO THOUGHT IT WAS THE OTHER WAS AROUND.
And I've dug deeper into it, I've dug through the wikis and you wanna know what I found? from the most famous of ink kids (those being Pallete, Gradient, Blueprint, Moku, Paper Jam, and Splatter) Paper jam would actually be the oldest of ink's kids, only losing to Rurik who's also 24 but Rurik is from an Underfell au which in turn makes him IRRELEVANT.
and not only that, gradient would be the penultimate of ink's children, only losing to Splatter who's 12 and maybe in some cases to blueprint considering he doesn't have a canon age and is just between 14-18 but his creator likes to think they are 17 so gradient continues to be the penultimate.
But not only that I have dug deeper, Turns out that gradient and splash are NOT ink's kids, THEY ARE ACTUALLY FUSIONS, GRADIENT HAS NEVER EVEN MET ERROR OR INK.
I feel cheated, I trusted the fandom, and turns out everything they told me was a LIE.
THE FANDOM HAS LIED, AND TRICKED US FOR YEARS AND YEARS AND WE NEVER EVEN SUSPECTED.
@7goodangel @roseworks WOMANS, THESE ARE YOUR CHARACTERS WHAT THE HELL.
Here's where I got the info from...
Gradient's personality (and age)
Gradient is NOT a errorink child
Gradient lives in the omega timeline
Paper Jam's personality
Paper jam does vent art
Paper jam's real age
And as a bonus
Paper Jam's Bio
I'm going back to dreamtale, or the star sanses, I don't care I just don't want any more of this madness.
Just to be clear I'm still gonna do comics with gradient being a errorink child...
I'm so tired... Mentally and phisically... This took so long....

Literally what is his problem, everyone else is welcoming a new brother to the family and this is what he does? 💀
Honestly, I'm trying so hard to interpret this line here...I mean, it's more likely focused on how Blues feels and snake man is just the vessel to deliver such a messed up question to him...
It's always snake man who's the most "evil" among the 3rd numbers
In Rock man san, the manga where EVERYONE ELSE has normal jobs and no influence from Wily...He's still evil! He just found someone else to work for?! Which was a little disappointing because i wanted to know what regular job he would have...but i guess he couldn't get one so he's a criminal now. (He doesn't even get a motive, like he's just like that)
And in the archie comics he said *that* to Blues, he plays tricks on people and he apparently would steal candy from babies?
Though, looking at this with the rest of the context, it seems like he's just...making a really insensitive joke? Maybe he just likes to get a reaction out of people, and that face he makes in the next panel is more like. "Damn, I'll piss him off someday.."
I guess maybe he's more of a prankster and bully kind of guy...pretty interesting. Maybe he's just a silly guy making silly jokes in bad taste. Look at him playing with a chair, so silly!
Hey while I'm at it, here's an expanded version of his CD data:
Good point: Wise navigator
Bad point: Bully/insensitive jokes
Like: Open-mindedness
Dislike: False assumptions
He deserves a personality outside of Toad man! (Toad man does too!)
Also, there are multiple depictions of him trying to step on people for some reason..
Maybe he has a need to have power over others because of his own insecurities...

polyam! ghostface || chapter 1
A/n- Masterlist
tw: animal death, creepy behavior from Stu & implied assault!
series desc. Stu spares most of the details when he tells Billy about you. He spares maybe too much detail, as he tells Billy that he made a friend in the city and not the fact he met an honest to god serial murderer. He figures he’ll talk about that one when the topic arises.
Stu spares most of the details when he tells Billy about you. He spares maybe too much detail, as he tells Billy that he made a friend in the city and not the fact he met an honest to god serial murderer. He figures he’ll talk about that one when the topic arises.
. . .
Their friendship begins in 1994. Well, not exactly. Stu is freshly 16 and finally has his drivers license. He only really needs it to get to the main part of town, at that point it’s easier walking everywhere. What’s a license and car good for if it spends most of its warranty stuck on the property? He thinks it’s bullshit. He’s also reckless and still a kid.
He decides, before he’s even fully confident in driving, to go to the nearest big city from Woodsboro. That means the roving hills of San Francisco. Maybe it terrifies him a little- not that he’ll admit it- but it’s thrilling, so he doesn’t take a U-turn back home.
He’s old enough that a few remarks and suave confidence usually gets him into places he shouldn’t be, along with a fake ID- and if that doesn’t work, a show of what’s in his wallet usually does the trick.
He meets you in a club. Or- Stu sees you from afar and thinks you’re cool, but doesn’t say hi. There’s this dangerous, nervy edge to you, that he enjoys simply observing. You’re different from these other party goers. He gets a drink and when he goes back to his seat in the corner to watch you, you’ve already slipped out the back door.
He never brings Billy up with him to the city- despite being good friends, maybe even best friends, if guys are allowed to do that sort of thing. Nothing makes Billy nervous. Nothing that Stu is aware of yet.
(Billy’s fine. He’s stone-walled and flirts with danger like it’s no one's business. And then his mom takes off in the middle of the night, with two hastily packed suitcases, leaving him alone. He’s 14 when this occurs.
He’s freaked he’ll never be found again. A mothers love will go to any length to make sure their baby is okay- Billy’s not enough to make his mom love him.
He also hates leaving Woodsboro- that one is irrational. He doesn’t get it himself.)
Stu’s up late, flipping through channels, when he stops on the news. Another man is found with his throat slit in the SF Bay. Authorities aren’t sure if they’re connected yet. It’s too early to say, but it looks like California might have a new serial killer on the loose. That should scare Stu, he gets excited about the possibilities. He loves horror and he’s engrossed in slashers- he’s never thought how human blood must feel between his fingers. He gets giddy and has to calm himself down- he takes a hunting knife from his dad’s collection and skins a stray dog in the woods.
He’s been up to the city a few times throughout the year since his brief- strangely exhilarating, yet fraughtless and boring- encounter with you. He hadn’t been back to that specific club though. There hasn’t been any more news about dead bodies- a part of him, a sick part, wishes there'd be more talk about it, more pictures. He wonders if he went up to the city and waded in the cold waters- if he’d find a dead body. Wonders what a dead person looks like up close.
Woodsboro doesn’t have any killers or crazy crime. Though there has been an uptick in wild animal deaths.
It’s the end of the year, nearly. Which means he’s nearly 17. He’s at Billy’s dad’s apartment, while said dad is out working. He’s lying with his back on the bed, Billy half-listening to whatever moronic rambles Stu’s on about.
Billy sits on the floor, reorganizing a collection of comic books and CDs. He interrupts Stu, not looking up at him. “Have you ever thought about killing a person?”
It’s not very tactful- he learns to be better with that. Stu seems unfazed.
Stu shrugs. “Yeah, sure. Why you asking, man?”
He speaks like it’s easy to admit.
Billy scowls to himself, thinking.
Stu disrupts that thought train, because of course he does. “It can’t be that different from killing animals.” Except he thinks it would be more fun. He’s getting excited. His hands itch and ache with the thought.
“Geez,” Billy lets out, too surprised. “That’s fucking ruthless, man.”
Stu sits up, just enough to turn his head to look at his friend. He twists his face, raising a brow in genuine confusion. “What?”
Billy gives him a look.
“What? You asked, dude.”
It’s a frustrating exchange- Billy laughs. Fucking laughs. It stirs on a reaction from the other boy. It so . . . fucked up and they’re laughing. This is a catalyst to their relationship.
“Stu, do you not see the issue?”
He gets a shrug and a wild grin in response. He smiles to himself and then turns to look at Stu, who’s fully sat up now, who looks onwards into his eyes, awaiting in intrigue, hanging onto Billy’s next word. It feels nice.
Billy tells Stu about a plan he has. Stu’s on board with little questions asked. Perhaps no real questions asked- he asks about the methods, if they would get to wear some sort of costume like they do in film, he asks when do they start like this was an interview for a job. He doesn’t ask Billy why he wants this.
Shortly after his seventeenth birthday, Stu goes back up to the club. He gets a short sort of vague warning from his mom to be careful- that there’s an investigation going on for recent killings in the area. He doesn’t say this- but he knows. He’s been obsessed with watching the news. It’s usually on late night that new stuff is announced. He guesses it makes sense- it’s not really daytime media, a daytime event. He’s kept track of each man found dumped in the water, evidence drained clean. Suspect still at large. A pattern that still needs to be found.
He doesn’t say it- but he has clippings taped on his wall from The San Francisco Chronicle, detailing how the victims were killed. How skin with jagged edges came to be, how likely it was that some of the men hadn’t even died yet before being pushed to the water. Bleeding out and struggling to swim up in freezing temperatures. Whoever was behind this knew what they were doing.
He goes up to the city knowing this- and partially because of it. He doesn’t think at all about you, though. He’s mostly forgotten about you by now. He’s more focused on the future killing of Maureen Prescott towards the end of the school year.
He goes to this club because he knows it’s easier to get into than some of the other ones he’s been to over the past year. He gets a drink and people watches in the corner. He doesn’t really care to join in with dancing or chatting girls up. He’s had enough of french kissing guys in empty bathrooms. He can do most things here that he’d have more fun doing in Woodsboro.
Except maybe kissing guys- but that was tiring. The only boy he wanted to kiss was his best friend, anyway.
He notices you out of the corner of his eye. You’re having a verbal altercation with an older man- it’s quiet, he only recognizes it for what it is because you push him away, and your face is scowling, and your hands are shaking. He recognizes a split-second of darkness in your eyes, not far off from how Billy looked, when they were sat in Stu’s room, pinkies brushing against each other, as they talked and looked at the massacre of clippings on his walls.
The man is pushy, angry. Stu doesn’t think to step in at first. Shit happens. He’s not about to mess with things. He quite likes watching it, anyway. Which is fucked up, Billy would let him know that- he’s Stu’s moral compass. He feels a sort of jealousy seeing you pushed out the back door, into the alley. It perks him up from his glass, he abandons it in his corner spot. He follows the interaction in quick steps.
The alleyway is a maze. It doesn’t empty out neatly into a long stretch. He has to turn the corner before he’s actually in it. That’s where he sees you.
You’re pressed against the wall; not struggling anymore, but your body still shakes at the edges. The man is slumped over your frame. He’s violently pushed to the ground- and this is- it’s dangerous.
Stu could very well be dead now.
You’re standing there panting and holding a bloody knife as you catch your breath over the body of a dead man.
You hear Stu take a few steps forward, your head shooting up with wide eyes.
“Oh, shit.” The two teens say in sync.

Alright here we go!!lust boys
First off it’s lustswapfell!
Sir (lustfellswap sans)
Sir is a skeleton monster standing at 5’4 and is aged 52 years old. He’s got a beautiful purple magic and slightly plush ecto
Sir is the owner of a host club/brothel under the disguise of a restaurant. This may be illegal in ebott, but police turn a blind eye cause of how helpful he’s been in passing on information about traffickers and drug rings. Plus is “employees” are well paid, have benefits, and are all of legal age.
Sir is a flamboyant, loud, boisterous and confident monster. He loves throwing his weight and name around and is generous with his money around those he loves. He’s quite the party monster, and even the prudes can’t help but like him and his cheerful personality. Don’t let that fool you though, he’s a brilliant business monster. Also he’s not above fighting dirty to get what he wants.
His magic weapon is a knuckle guard covered in tiny needle like spikes designed for piercing. It plays right along with his special ability. He has one for each hand
Sirs special ability is producing a numbing poison from his fingertips. It works very fast and people can find themselves unable to move or feel their limbs after seconds. However it also wears off quick as well.
Hobbies: calligraphy, dancing, trying new foods, debate, boxing, hosting
Things he loves: wax seal stamps, the color crimson, dark red roses, feather pens, sparring matches, human fighting styles, fine China sets
Weasel (Lustswapfell papyrus)
Weasel is a skeleton monster standing at 6’2 and is aged 31 years old. He has beautiful purple magic and a trim but curvy ecto
He is one of the “waiters” at the brothel. He works as a host bringing people in and matching them with the “employees”. He also occasionally takes his own clients if they pay well enough
Like his nickname suggests, weasel is a mischievous and chaotic character. He loves causing problems through spreading rumors and sharing secrets. He’s not to be trusted by acquaintances but to close friends he’s a useful ally. Weasel can come across as childish and a bit airheaded. He’s easily distracted by the next shiny thing, but when focused, is amazingly talented at whatever he does.
His magic weapon is a baseball bat like club with two sharpened stones on each side of the end he swings. He did the bare minimum making it
His special ability is being able to briefly shot off one aspect of taste of a person for an hour with a kiss. So say if he kissed you, you might not be able to taste salt or sweetness for an hour lol
His hobbies are: gossiping of course, soap operas and reality tv shows, fancy card tricks, caring for his pet rats, making sun catchers with scrap glass
Things he loves: the color orange, fancy rats, napoleon ice cream, daisies, sea glass and vintage glass, those creepy porcelain dolls (he names them after superheroes). Superhero comic books
Next is lustgold!
Butler (lustgold sans)
Butler is a skeleton monster standing at 5’5 and aged 53 year old. He has a soft rose gold magic and a petite but muscular and fit ecto
Butler was a hired hitman in the underground, but now works as the main bodyguard at sirs brothel. He is also the secret behind all of sirs knowledge about the dark places of ebott
Butler is a stoic, polite and gentle monster. He’s very patient and takes a lot to anger or even annoy. Some say he has the patience of a saint. However when crossed, his temper is legendary. He isn’t one for wasted talk and only speaks when he has something important to say. So when he does talk, every one listens. And yes, he’s quite sassy when he wants to be.
His magic weapon is literally a one handed sniping rifle. He’s got amazing aim, bested only by snipe. And the constricted gun is absolutely gorgeous with floral patterning on the frame
His special ability is his hands being able to stick to walls. He pulls himself up that way with a crawling motion. It’s given him nicely toned shoulders
Hobbies: guns of course, making floral arrangements, rock concerts, parkour, hiking and trail walks, wine tasting
Things he loves: fine wines and cheesecake, vintage guns, punk rock, lavender flowers, spring fashion, floral patterns
Gold (lustgold paps)
Gold is a skeleton monster standing at 6’1 and aged 29. He has a very petite and soft looking ecto as well as an androgynous soft voice. He doesn’t care what people call him. (But is usually described as male by humans cause of being a skeleton)
Gold is a dab hand at numbers and helps sit with the budget of the brothel. He also decorates the desserts and is very passionate about how the food is presented. He takes clients pretty often as well if his other two duties aren’t busy that evening
Gold has two modes: passionate, chatty, bright and flirtatious, or he’s awkward, stuttery and clumsy. No in between. Gold is confident when he knows what to expect. His “work personality” is that of the typical lust monster, flirty and social. When he’s being open or honest though, he shows off his awkward and insecure softy side. He’s quite cute either way
His magic weapon is a simple switchblade. It’s lightweight and easy to use, perfect for a quick response
His special ability is being able to see clearly under water. However he doesn’t know this as he’s never been swimming before, nor does he know how.
Hobbies: gothic and alternative fashion. Making collars, gloves, and other smaller accessories. Making art with food: food arrangements and decorating. Fruit carving
Things he loves: the color black, fried tomatoes, black lilies, cream cheese frosting, collars and chokers, classical music, horror video games
And lastly is lustred!
Flambé (lustred sans)
Flambé is a skeleton monster aged 45 years old and standing at 5’3. He has a flame colored magic and ecto. He’s trim with a little bit of muscle
Flambé is an entertainer at the brothel. He dances, serves food, and entertains tables waiting for the other “employees”. He also takes clients if they pay well enough, however he has high standards
Flambé is a real spitfire! He’s sassy, a bit aggressive and very spicy in his language and flirting lol. He knows his worth and his self love can come across as self absorbed to those who don’t know him well. He’s very introverted despite the confidence, and needs time each day to unwind on his own
His magic weapon is a large scythe. The sucker is nearly twice his own height. Every one is surprised at the skill he swings it with
His special ability is being able to blow smoke out of his mouth without a flame or cigarette. He likes to blow smoke rings to impress people with
Hobbies: collecting perfumes, bubble baths, pole dancing, going to the spa, nail art
Things he loves: bath salts, dried herbs, perfume, the color red, loud tinkling jewelry, glossy finish nail polishes, poppies, greek salad, cucumber slices
Pesto (lustred papyrus)
Pesto is a skeleton monster standing at 6’5 and aged 39. He has a pinkish red magic and a slightly chubby ecto. His face is very scarred from an old attack and is missing two teeth that can’t be replaced cause of the cracks
The brothel actually does serve food. And pesto is the head chef. His food is amazing. He serves a Mediterranean style menu with mostly chicken and seafood as the proteins. He even got his third star last year. Sir and flambé have tried convincing him to leave and start his own restaurant cause of his skill, but pesto loves his little makeshift family and won’t be moved. He never takes clients
Pesto is quiet and reserved. He used to be a confident monster like his brother, but after the attack that scarred his face, he’s “lost” his good looks and self esteem. He’s rather sensitive and hides it behind an aloof and disinterested mask. He’s intensely loyal to his found family and acts as the moral compass, scolding them when they go too far.
His magic weapon is a whip with sharp jagged pieces on the end. It hurts like a b*tch but doesn’t actually do that much damage
His special ability is a sensitivity to how level the ground is. He also gets an early warning for earthquakes. He’s great to have around if you’re putting up shelves. He’ll keep them perfectly straight
Hobbies: cooking of course. He loves making beautiful colorful salads and pizzas, thrift shopping, his vegetable garden, the shooting range
Things he loves: pesto of course, the color powder blue, forget me nots, classic margarita pizza, heirloom lettuce varieties, vintage pins, hand pistols
Side characters:
Cupid: Lustswapfell Asgore, one of the royals. A very picky finicky monster, he’s a pain to work with but good at his job at least. He deals with ebotts propaganda, namely what websites are allowed in ebotts news stations
Valentine: Lustswapfell toriel. Equally as snobby as Cupid, she’s much more of a socialite and goes from district to district of ebott checking in on the smaller government teams
Tiras: lustgold Asgore. He’s a quieter royal who doesn’t show face very often. He mainly keeps the palace in working order as he doesn’t have much experience ruling despite taking the vow in the underground after being soulbonded to Rhea
Rhea: lustgold toriel, a shrewd business monster, she handles the exports of ebott and how much they sell to other countries for
Desire: lustred toriel, a stern but devoted royal. She leads the war against human and monster trafficking in ebott.
Devotion: lustred Asgore. A gentle and aloof royal, because of his AUs past fertility troubles, he’s very interested in the future of ebott. He handles welfare for struggling families as well as fertility treatment regulations and requirements.

The only way I can describe it is surrealism. It’s like the world has been rewritten in comic sans - funny but fundamentally ‘off’. Trees, the colour of the sky, colours in general.
It’s isolating even though I’m surrounded by people every day. I’ve shed my introversion because I crave constant stimulation and distraction provided by people, my phone and porn.
I went to a magic show and was picked to go on stage where I laughed and joked and I didn’t feel shy. I was a performer. The magician said to choose the next trick and I asked him to make me disappear. I shut my eyes whilst he grabbed my wrists too tightly and I didn’t feel anything.
I was in a work meeting with colleagues and during a check-in, I said I’m not sleeping at all. I studied everybody’s faces in the small boxes on Microsoft Teams and people nodded knowingly and my manager said ‘understandable’. Everybody knows but I don’t feel ashamed. I don’t feel anything.
I have had 5 brunches held in my honour and it is like I’ve died and I’m watching myself from above holding a mimosa and laughing too loudly whilst I outline my terrible choices and wait for disdain. It never comes.
My best friends surround me whilst I shove my phone in their faces and say “SEE? I’m NOT crazy, this is what is happening, LOOK”. I can’t quite believe it so I assume they must not be able to either. His closest friends have apologised to me. My dad changed the locks. It still doesn’t make me feel justified - I don’t feel anything.
I have to repeat this 3 times a week as that’s how many WhatsApp messages I receive due to the backtracking, the rescheduling, the threats and what my friends call gaslighting. Sometimes he tells me I’ve won the war. My mum says I will feel relief when his stuff is gone - as long as relief comes with sleeping through the night.
My garden door doesn’t lock and it never used to bother me but now my desk is in front of it, and I leave the key turned in the lock at night. I wake up with waves of contentment but also a distinct craving for someone bigger than me to hold me. To hurt me but also make me feel safe. To show me the two can exist together.
Nobody has asked me if l’m happier now but I am because I have let go of the thing that was supposed to make me happy. The thing that these same people told me should make me happy - maybe that’s why they don’t ask and buy me mimosas instead.

1 & 10 & 22 !!
from the weird writer questions asks
ty anon!!!
What font do you write in? Do you actually care or is that just the default setting?
i have never once changed the font from whatever the default is, so currently i write in (checks google docs) arial
i do always think that i should try the comic sans trick next time i am stuck. and then never remember that exists when i am actually stuck
10. Has a piece of writing ever “haunted” you? Has your own writing haunted you? What does that mean to you?
oh man. all the time.
for other people's writing: my primary hauntings are sadie by courtney summers and idaho by emily ruskovich. i kind of don't want to even say anymore bc i think everyone should read those books while knowing as little as possible about them (minus content warnings bc there are some extremely heavy ones). if you're not gonna read them: the fates of some characters are left ambiguous in both, and both absolutely haunt me. i think about them all the time
i am definitely haunted by other people's fics also. scenes/lines will become part of how i think about that character and will play on repeat when i am walking around listening to music having my character thoughts
with my own writing: also big yes!! some fics haunt me as i am writing them. sometimes scenes are so vivid it feels like they are writing themselves inside my head. ten of swords felt so much like a haunting. i was mentally writing it as i was falling asleep and then i woke up in the middle of the night and it truly just carried on as though nothing had happened.
things i've written can also haunt me after they are written. i reread my own fics a lot and sometimes i get kind of...stuck...on a particular work. there were weeks when i read the same fic like....10 times? at least? sometimes specific paragraphs even. there was a period where i just kept rereading this one bit of repeat:
Don’t tell him that you’re tired too – not of him, not from lack of sleep, just bone-deep tired of every good thing being so fragile and temporary. Tired of running on a wheel every day, every day, and knowing you can lose these kids anyway. Suspect that he’s noticed anyway, since he’s visibly trying to find a non-impertinent way to ask if you’re alright. Every year they’re kinder and more breakable.
i think it happens when there is something buried in a thing i've written that i don't fully understand yet. or don't understand why it's hitting me the way it is.
i like it. i'm in favour of being haunted
22. How organized are you with your writing? Describe to me your organization method, if it exists. What tools do you use? Notebooks? Binders? Apps? The Cloud?
ha. not organised at all. it's me and 50 google docs against the world. which is mostly fine because i don't write particularly long things, or have long projects to keep track of.
about the only organisational things i do are putting a . at the front of file names if that fic posted to help me mentally skip past it in the list, and putting the fandom in square brackets at the beginning...sometimes. very inconsistently. it's most useful for fandoms where i'm not currently writing for them, so again it's helpful to mentally skip over those
it's funny bc i worked admin for a long time so one of my like work skills is organisation, and i think that makes me less inclined to do that with hobby stuff. being organised is for when i am being paid to do it

Since round 2 of @sonic-oc-showdown is so close right now, thought I'd do this questionnaire for dog! after going through some other competitors' summaries vs propaganda, i definitely get a much better idea of the character from this supplemental stuff!
Original post by @/redd956 here! Banner by @/bunnymajo :) ty!
✨- How did you come up with the OC’s name?
Hmm poorly! ^_^; But the logic became: Dog picked his name* because he was amused by the idea of having a name that can be general slang. he's always waiting for the day when someone says "what's up, dawg?" (he lives in a 90s sonic comic okay?) and he can.. well.. he hasn't really realized his response would not be different whether that was just a normal greeting or his name. and I'm not sure it's going to happen either, but it amuses him anyway. he's easily amused :) *all three of them in their core friend group have picked their names. dog + bebe for transgender reasons and fleet just for general Identity reasons.
🌼 - How old are they? (Or approximate age range)
16 (or 16-ish; i actually have to check his ref every time so the specific number isn't that important since I can never remember it)
🍕 - What is their favorite food?
i feel like this kid could DEMOLISH some chinese takeout. he's going for noodles, he's going for dumplings, he's going for spice.
🎹 - Do they have any hobbies?
skating! dog + her friends all meet + bond over skating :) dog prefers to board and honestly takes it real casual. she can do some tricks and will go out there and focus for a while, but usually she just slowly rolls around on her board and chats with her friends. she also collects trading cards and plays videos games.
🎯 -What do they do best?
dog isn't really the competitive type--she's just here to have fun and be herself. as such, she doesn't really care to think about whether or not shes 'good' at things... he's just chilling! i think his friends might say his strengths are in handling stress, being a good listener, and first aid. and then theyd tack on that some of the casual little gum wrapper crafts she makes are wicked cool
🥊 -What do they love to do? What do they hate to do?
loves: chilling, being with friends, hanging out, having a good time
hates: when anything starts to be not that. majorly avoids anything that is too much Not the above things.
❤️ - What is one of your OC’s best memories?
not really a memory, but i think he treasures his childhood friendship with bebe :) he loves to see how she's grown into a more confident and happy person. any time he makes a new friend is a good memory. any time his friends make a new friend is also a good memory. reaching out and welcoming in that nervous yellow hedgehog lingering at the edge of the park for the first time and seeing him warm up to the group was a good memory :)
✂️ - What is one of your OC’s worst memories?
dog good vibes forever <3
🧊 - Is their current design the first one?
Pretty much! I've gone back and forth on what kind of gloves to give her, and the hoodie is just a normal skull instead of sans, but otherwise is still check my work on her original ref
🍀 - What originally inspired the OC?
Fleet Needs Friends dot MyMind
🌂 - What genre do they belong in?
Dog being part of canon-divergence au in the fleetway comics puts her in variety comedy/adventure i guess :) in my mind, the stories the group get up to are "working together to defeat a minor villain in the area even though they don't have powers" and "getting possessed by/having wishes granted by/retrieving one of ebony's magical macguffins." the non-story fanficky stuff is mostly Chilling, Hanging Out, Shooting the Shit, and Being Unbothered. (as well as like. semi-grounded melodrama. you know the fun of taking character moments So Seriously?)
💚 - What is your OC’s gender identity and sexuality?
gender: ? sexuality: ??
🙌 - How many sibling does your OC have?
none that I've bothered to make, but i could see her having an adult older brother
🍎 - What is the OC’s relationship w/their parents like?
dog's parents aren't really in the picture! he lives with his nan. they have a semi-strained relationship--they love each other and have their bonding moments, but she can get pretty riled up about some of the things dog does (knuckle tats, dirty room), even if there are others she just doesn't seem to care about (skipping school, extended stays at friends' houses, nosering). dog usually defaults to "ignore and avoid" if things are anything less than peachy.
🧠 - What do you like most about the OC?
he's just so easy to draw and i got that design down PAT. im really happy with dog + bebe + merger fleet all sharing color across their designs :) the friends. (i need to get bebe some green +gold accents tho it seems...)
also the knuckle tats detail and this
✏️ - How often do you draw/write about the OC?
usually when i'm having a fleet Moment dog comes along for the ride, maybe gets slingshotted forward into his own moment. so not that often, but in batches
💎 - Do you ever see yourself killing off the OC?
dog live forever <3
💀 - Does your OC have any phobias?
none that she would tell you 👍
🍩 -Who is your OC’s arch-nemesis or rival?
dog everyones friend forever <3
🎓 - How long have you had the OC?
Just over a year! the ref is dated august 6th 2022 and i did the original sketches the day before.
#myaa#socs#couch art#reading other ppls' character summarizes makes it much clearer what makes a good summary and i left those things out so </3 oh well!#doggy i love doggy vote my special girlguy <3

how would the skeletons react to an S/O who is really shy around people they arent close to and is anxious about being alone with their bro?
Undertale Sans - He can see why Papyrus can be intimidating, and he's used to it. Through time, he learned how to trick people into liking his brother, and you're not escaping this. It's very important for Sans that you get along with Papyrus, and for the first time in his life, he is actually working really hard for this. Papyrus quickly understood his big confidence and high energy was the problem so he tries to be more calm and include you in everything when you're hanging out. It will be fine though. No one can resist Papyrus' charm.
Undertale Papyrus - He can also get why you're having difficulties with Sans. First, Sans is not the nicest guy around when someone is getting interisting a lot into his brother, and he can be a fucking jerk when he really wants too, randomly scaring the shit out of you just to see how you're going to react. Papyrus assures you he's not bad, just as anxious as you, and gives you some tips to win him over, like talking to him about Papyrus, bad jokes, trying to not take his threats too much at heart and deflict them with humor, and listening to what he has to say to try to reassure him. Man, it will take time, I won't lie, but eventually, he will warm up. The more he talks with people, the more he knows what to expect so just keep talking and it should be ok.
Underswap Sans - Well... This is so awkward. Honey is exactly like you so that's pretty much Blue talking all alone and you and Honey on each of his sides in the couch looking warily at each other, not sure what to think of the others. Blue knows he's going to have a lot of work ahead to make it work, but he's determined. He will force the three of you to hang out and slowly manipulates the both of you so you can find interests you have in common. A S/O who like animes and comics for exemple, this is going to be piece of cake. He just brings you two in a comic con and let you fanboy in front of the same actor you're idolating and suddenly it's like you know each other for years, look at that. Blue is really proud of himself.
Underswap Papyrus - Poor Honey has no clue what to even do. Most people loves Blue at first sight, the fact you're not liking his brother too much is quite distressing to him. I mean, Blue is the one who is supposed to make everyone like each other, he doesn't know what to do??? Blue is not even protective, he's genuinely happy his brother found someone and he is super friendly. What more do you need? Please help him! He's quite reassured when after a few weeks seeing and talking to Blue, you start to slowly feel more comfortable around him, as you're taking on yourself when you saw it made Honey distressed. You're going to warm up a little after that.
Underfell Sans - Oh well, he is not surprised and he will not push you. His brother can be an asshole, and especially to everyone entering his brother's life just because he wants to protect Red. Well, I mean, Red is an asshole too, so it's fair. Though, he will still try to make you realise Edge is not what it seems and that behind the asshole facade, he's actually not too bad, and even cares. Well, you'll notice it anyway as, as soon as you grow very close to Red, Edge starts to become protective of you too, which basically means you are his family. That's a weird change, but that's how you two are slowly warming up so it kind of works?
Underfell Papyrus - Well... Yeah, Red can be scary. He can be mean and a jerk, but he has interests in you. The problem is that people usually don't see over the jerk face, despite his efforts. Red is not the best at socialising, but he's trying. When he sees you're not receptive to his jerk attitude, he starts to calm down a little and be more gentle (well, as gentle as he can be, which sometimes leads to very awkward moments when he insults you to tell something nice). Edge can see he is trying, so he will try to organise some hangouts around things Red and you likes to do so you can warm up a little. He can see his brother is desperate to know you, because you're part of Edge's life, but that he's having a bad time doing so. Edge is actually surprised Red kind of likes you, which is actually a huge good sign that he can go further in the relationship, so be ready.
Horrortale Sans - He's just as distressed as his brother. Willow is trying hard to make you comfortable around him, and the fact you are still not is kinda making him very insecured about himself and down, and Oak hates seeing his brother like that. He just doesn't understand why it doesn't work. Sure, Willow is very impressive, he's tall and loud, but he's like the most gentle guy he has ever see! He doesn't know what to do, and he's getting anxious himself, because he can't just let his brother drown in his dark thoughts again. So he will try to push things a little and talk to you about how Willow sees himself and that even if you're just shy, he can tell, it's making him very uncomfortable. You didn't realise and are quite horrified Willow could think you hate him. After that, you try a little to warm up and include you. The first time you really talk to Willow, you could see his face light up in surprise and excitement. And after a while you don't even know why you were scared of him as he's nothing but a sweetheart.
Horrortale Papyrus - The other way however is a lot more hard as Oak is absolutely not helping. Oak sees you as a threat, and for a long time, every time you'll go near him, he's going to growl or stare at you creepily until you leave him alone. Oak wants you gone because you're something new and he hates new things. The only way you can interest him is by hanging with him and his brother in neutral places, a bit like you're making two dogs meet for the first time. He will only warm up seeing you interact with his brother and being nice to him, and genuinely care about him. It's going to be a very slow process though, as he will also go through the "if you try to steal my bro, I kill you" phase later, but you're progressing. You can tell he's not that bad. He's just a grumpy old man. Willow will gladly help you to win his trust.
Swapfell Sans - He doesn't get it. Rus is chill and literally friendly to you as soon as you're close from Nox, and he doesn't understand why you're scared of him? I mean, Rus can be scary when he's protective, but he's protective of you too, so you should be flattered? He's not sure what you're scared of, the guy can't literally cook pastas, he's harmless. That's the first time it happens to him. Usually people love Rus. Rus is quite distressed too, as he keep clowning around to make you react without much success. He tries everything: humor, being nice and gentle, being a bit pushy, leaving you space... Nothing is working. He doesn't know what to do. You actually just need some time, as you're warming up as time passes and you get used to him. He's very excited when you're actually coming to him to ask for the TV remote. Small steps!
Swapfell Papyrus - Rus understands why you think Nox is a jerk, and Nox is very fine with you thinking he is a jerk and won't help. That's usually around that time Rus explains you what was his universe like and why Nox is not so friendly around strangers. He explains you too it's mostly a defense mecanism and that he has more interest in you than you think, as, as soon as you're not here, he keeps asking things about you to his brother. You start to see him a bit differently, and as soon as Nox realises you're actually showing interest in him (which can take some time, and a conversation with his brother), he will slowly lower his guard and starts to do small talks. You will warm up little steps by little steps after that, as you realised Nox is actually just as shy as you around new people, even if he's hiding it well.
Fellswap Gold Sans - Well, you are both the same. Wine can tell Coffee is dying to get to know you better but since you're so shy around him, he is very shy around you too. He wants attention so badly, but you keep ignoring him and it's making him distressed. Wine never thought someone could be scare of his brother. Actually, if it happened Underground, everyone would have laugh at your face. You're dating the worst asshole ever and you're scared of the only friendly monster around, that's actually quite funny. Wine will very awkwardly try to introduce you to each other, and after that Coffee will warm up immediately and act like you're family, which helps a lot.
Fellswap Gold Papyrus - Quite honestly, it's going to be hard to make Wine trust you. He doesn't know you, you're stealing his brother's heart from him and he's giving you all his attention and Wine is SO jealous. Wine won't stop threatening you and creep you out when Coffee is not looking, which is scary. He is actually only nice when you're hanging with Coffee, but you can see it's all fake and it's making you very uncomfortable. Coffee doesn't understand why you're acting weird around his brother, and thinks you just need time, not knowing Wine is a jerk. It's only when, after Wine went too far and Coffee finds you crying in fear in his room than he's going to talk to his brother, who will then awkwardly apologize to you and try to get better and actually know you.

15 Questions For 15 Mutuals
Are you named after anyone?
No, but if i had been afab, I would've had to wear Jocasta, which is an impressively heavy mantle.
Do you have kids?
In this economy?
Do you use sarcasm a lot?
Only at work.
When was the last time you cried?
Across the spiderverse got me a bit, but Saturday morning we watched one hunded and one dalmatians and thinking about the fellowship of the animals helping reunite the family really got to me.
What’s the first thing you notice about other people?
Energy, posture, vibe.
Eye color?
Sorta hazel.
What sports do you/have you played?
Played box lacrosse, basketball and tennis until I didn't want to be around the kids who played sports in high school. Which is lamentable, in retrospect.
Any special talent?
Mostly silly memory tricks. A few times I've managed to tell someone i've met for the second time, many years later, exactly when and where and who else was present/introducing us when we met one time before. So... trivia, I've got you covered -- Countries of the world? Stanley Cup Winners? Presidents? Every premise of every episode of TNG or the magic school bus? Usually able to remember things on the basis of remembering when and where I learned them. Have been accused of never forgetting anything ever, but that feels the opposite of true, though maybe I'm just more aware than is typical of everything I have forgotten, for some of the same reasons. Should also point out that I've gotten lost walking home a few different times in my life, so... we all have different talents.
Where were you born?
Calgary, AB
Scary movies or happy endings?
Happy endings mostly. Prefer comedies, at this point in my life.
Do you have any pets?
Sandwich is my partner's familiar, but she counts:
How tall are you?
About 184cm.
What are your hobbies?
TTRPGs, writing, reading, being terminally online, watching/arguing about pro wrestling, cooking/baking new things, sometimes i draw comics.
Favorite subject in school?
in senior year i was allowed to take a class called 'script writing' which was essentially spending an extra hour a day in the theatre department working on literally whatever and occasionally directing freshmen. led to hilarious days where i'd have theatre, film, scriptwriting, free block, lunch, then english lit. best university elective was probably either obituary writing or a film class based on the works of the coen brothers and jim jarmusch.
Dream job?
Talk show host. Roddenberry-esque creator of a thing people love enough to keep going well beyond my paltry limitations and see grow and invert and reinvent itself decades on.
I was tagged by @unbound-shade
I'm going tag, sans obligations, my 15 most recent mutuals. Which is to say, I don't know much about you even to know if you do these sorts of tumblr socializing games. Presumably most of you are mutuals because you like my smut blog but feel free to ignore me! @kittencrack @alexisairhead @cuckoosnestblog @strawbabiezs @witchybibabe @soft-greengoddess @submi55ive-kitten @vera-vondoom @eldritchhbagel @dolliespit @the-harpy-celaeno @sunniedayzxo @dinedwithwolves @420xbabydollx @ripescrumptiouspeach

1, 15, and 25 for the writing ask game? 🙈
1. What font do you write in? Do you actually care or is that just the default setting?
I just use the default setting! I haven't even checked what the default font is on google docs so i don't know, on Word it's Calibri. Sometimes when I care I try the trick that I once read here, that comic sans can make writing faster. Idk if it really worked but I can see where the placebo effect may come from: it takes up so much space that the screen fills faster, and it's slower to read so you don't constantly re-check what you just wrote.
15. Do you write in the margins of your books? Dog-ear your pages? Read in the bath? Why or why not? Do you judge people who do these things? Can we still be friends?
Only cookbooks / Yes I do / No but I used to read in the sauna when I was younger, I may have read a magazine in the bathtub when I had one but we don't have one in our house now. Why? I haven't really felt like writing in the margins of my books. I dog-ear my pages if I don't have a bookmark nearby and I have to mark a page. I don't judge, I can unfold an occasional dog-ear, but I do judge people making markings on library books, they aren't theirs! We can always be friends.
25. What is a weird, hyper-specific detail you know about one of your characters that is completely irrelevant to the story?
I haven't written for so long that I've forgotten most of the things I have headcanoned. Maybe the thing that I picture Kime having a hairy tummy in money shot even though anyone seeing or touching it happens strictly off-screen and it isn't mentioned anywhere. (And I've never seen a shirtless pic of IRL Kime so I wouldn't know)
Thank you for the ask and merry Christmas!! I'll go offline soon again :)

All odd number questions!
Buckle up lads, it's a long one!
What font do you write in? Do you actually care or is that just the default setting? -Usually whatever the default font is, though sometimes I'll use the Comic Sans trick if I'm stuck. Sometimes i'll get fancy and use a typewriter font.
3. What is your writing ritual and why is it cursed? -the fact that I don't have one. Very cursed.
5. Do you have any writing superstitions? What are they and why are they 100% true? -that if I talk about my current work in too much detail with someone, I lose the motivation to write it because now the idea exists outside of my head. So if I'm really passionate about a piece, I won't say much about it.
7. . What is your deepest joy about writing? -putting that guy in situations. And the milfs
9. Do you believe in ghosts? This isn’t about writing I just wanna know -hell fucking yeah I do.
11. Do you believe in the old advice to “kill your darlings?” Are you a ruthless darling assassin? What happens to the darlings you murder? Do you have a darling graveyard? Do you grieve? -I don't grieve, but I am pretty ruthless.
13. What is a subject matter that is incredibly difficult for you write about? What is easy? -smut. Some people think I'm good at it and when I'm drunk, it comes easily but mostly I can't just write smut. Bloody imagery comes really easily though.
15. Do you write in the margins of your books? Dog-ear your pages? Read in the bath? Why or why not? Do you judge people who do these things? Can we still be friends? -sometimes I'll write in the margins of pages. I don't dog ear them because a lot of my books are old and doing that will rip the paper. I used to judge people who did these things but now I see it as a sign of love.
17. Talk to me about the minutiae of your current WIP. Tell me about the lore, the history, the detail, the things that won’t make it in the text. -oh god. Gonna do Woe Begets Misery (so @yourlocaldisneyvillain here's a little present!). Um, let's see... Isabel Noble lives in a haunted house in Los Angeles, though we won't be seeing it in this installment. She was adopted and her birth mother was clairvoyant. Her birth father was named Lawrence and was driven to madness both by the haunted house and Isabel's mother (girl power). She has had her heart broken a million times and will never learn from it. Her adoptive father, Derek Noble, has a face claim: Nikolaj Coster-Waldau. He was a good dad, but his death wreaks havoc on Isabel's mind.
19. Tell me a story about your writing journey. When did you start? Why did you start? Were there bumps along the way? Where are you now and where are you going? -I started writing when I was veryyyyy little. I wrote a diary when I was six but it was fictitious, so that was the start. Lot of bumps. Finally got into playwriting.
21. Could you ever quit writing? Do you ever wish you could? Why or why not? -Nope could never quit writing. My mind is too full.
23. Describe the physical environment in which you write. Be as detailed as possible. Tell me what’s around you as you work. Paint me a picture. -My thoughts are around me. I tune out everything. It's just me and a blur. And a hot drink.
25. What is a weird, hyper-specific detail you know about one of your characters that is completely irrelevant to the story? Isabel Noble had braces and wore a retainer.
27. Who is the most stressful character you’ve ever written? Why? Gregory House. He's complex and I tend to soften him more than he is.
29. Where do you draw your inspiration? What do you do when the inspiration well runs dry? Life. My own horniness.
33. Do you practice any other art besides writing? Does that art ever tie into your writing, or is it entirely separate? I do some painting, but keep it separate
31. Write a short love letter to your readers.
Dear beloveds,
You are genuinely the reason I keep going.
35. What’s your favorite writing rule to smash into smithereens? Incomplete sentences. Sometimes the cadence calls for it.
37. If you were to be remembered only by the words you’ve put on the page, what would future historians think of you? "Get this girl some therapy... I hope she found a milf to love her."
39. What keeps you writing when you feel like giving up? My ideas.

Have you seen the thing where apparently if you write your drafts in comic sans your writers block like completely disappears and your productivity level skyrockets? Idk if it’s actually real but apparently writing first drafts in comic sans (as horrible as that goddamned font is) works magic for stumped writers
I have heard of this trick, but I've never tried it before. I'll definitely give it a go, though! Thank you!! 🖤
#I'm so picky about my font choices when writing#I think I spend more time making sure the font is pretty than I do actually editing#BUT!!#it's pretty moot when i can't even write#hello comic sans my last resort

Hey, saw your reblog on a post about writing, and since I had a creative block that lasted about a decade and kept me from writing or drawing, it resonated with me. A lot of things happened to finally get me out of that block, including changing meds, but a big one was just that stupid Comic Sans trick. (And this coming from someone who also loves writing in notebooks!)
Have you heard of it? You just write in Comic Sans, and it makes it impossible to take your writing seriously, so all the dread of the expectation of truly ~writing~ is lifted from you. I amplify the effect by using Notepad++ (no fancy formatting to distract me), using a theme with candy colors (even harder to take seriously), and keeping the window small (just a little things to ramble and jot notes in, not a big important writing document, goodness no, but if some writing should *happen* to happen...).
I also just don't worry about writing a story linearly. I write scenes as they pop into my head, however short, and then I stitch them together later.
As it is, my story still isn't finished (in part because it's the script for an animated series I'm working through animating at the moment)... But, counting all the AU tangents, I've gotten a Moby Dick length corpus out of it and counting, and I've had a hell of a lot of fun. Writing is back to being fun!! And that's all I could have hoped for.
Hey-o! I'm sorry it took me so long to respond. I drift from one thing to another sometimes and I was hyperfocused on Minecraft for a bit there!
I've heard of the Comic Sans trick, but haven't yet tried it. I tend to use Arial myself, since that's the Google Drive default. Might try it on my next story attempt, though, since I'm moving back to Word and pulling my writing off of Drive. (I want to keep my own backups and not worry about what's synced where.)
I also snagged an app on Steam called Nimble Writer that I want to try out. It apparently has some neat features to help with focus, but I haven't really played with it yet beyond booting it up and checking out the UI.
In terms of trying to write, I often find myself in brainstorming documents where I half-outline, half-brainstorm ideas. I get a lot of character backstory by doing that, and a lot of them have turned into full-blown worldbuilding with magic systems and descriptions of fantasy races, geography, weaponry, and so on. So it's not like I don't write anything, but it's not the prose I'd really like to be writing.
There are some other factors. My sibling is living with me. they're only 22, and they're still figuring things out, but there are also a lot of things they could be doing to be a better roommate. I prefer living alone and I knew I would only be able to tolerate them living with me for a little while, but this has gone far beyond that. I won't write that novel in this post, though. Suffice it to say I'm looking for my own place, and I know my creative productivity will vastly improve once I have a space where I can actually decompress after work.
On the linear writing thing: I used to be a panster. I wrote linearly, but I wrote what was fun. I've never written out of order before, but that has more to do with my ability to keep track of what's happened, and it's easier when I do it chronologically. I think I'll try an out-of-order story just to see if it breaks the block, though. Maybe if I break my own mold, I'll find another shape that fits, to follow the metaphor.
One trick I've been tempted to try is to pick one of my very old fanfictions, from back when I was a wordy teenager who had to describe everything in exacting detail, and copy it all down word-for-word until my writer's brain kicks in and diverges with it. I'm not the same person I used to be, so I'd like to think my old self would drive me just crazy enough to force me into action writing something new. Or maybe the same thing but better. Who knows?
On that last point: You're writing a script?! Am I allowed to ask about it? And animating! I've been wanting to relearn how to draw, but animating seems so daunting! I wish you the best of luck!
Thank you for the ask, and for the chance to get some thoughts out. I'll put some of your suggestions to the test and see what happens. :D

1, 18, 24 for the writer ask meme:
1. What font do you write in? Do you actually care or is that just the default setting?
18. Choose a passage from your writing. Tell me about the backstory of this moment. How you came up with it, how it changed from start to end.
24. How much prep work do you put into your stories? What does that look like for you? Do you enjoy this part or do you just want to get on with it?
1. I usually try to write in Comic Sans for AO3 stuff, but for assignments and stuff I use Times New Roman. Some fics are in the typical Arial, but I switched them to Comic Sans. I care more because I believe in the Comic Sans trick, but that's the only reason😅
For Tumblr, though, I work with whatever font is there
18. I forget which parts in specific they're in, but the moments in the Toppat!Henry series posts I did, more specifically all scenes of Henry being toxic towards Charles, like holding him close, pinning him down, kissing him, all those scenes. The backstory for all of those was just this idea of Henry, who has decided to embrace being a thief and, by all accounts, a villain, indulging himself without actually indulging, like someone sampling alcohol by dipping their finger in it rather than fully drinking it. I also just wanted to create this sort of "predator" to clash with government "dog" Charles, and by predator, I don't mean it in like, "get this man put behind bars and on a registry," I mean like, something almost apex, unstoppable. You know it's dangerous and need to stay away, but it keeps following you. I was also seeing clips from the new She-Ra and saw a lot of villainous Catra moments that I really liked. The moments stayed consistent throughout. The only thing that really changed was Henry became a lot more obsessive and more lustful(I guess?) towards Charles when I was originally going for, "I just want this to have it."
24. Depends on the story. I have one story that I've been working on since around 2021 and the prep needed for it has been HUGE, with outlining before actually writing, drawing out what characters look like, taking time to think of the lean and fat that's going into the story, ideas I can find that push the story forward, possible reworks, all that jazz. Another story doesn't need an outline because I have a solid idea in my and can just get it down easily. What it all mainly looks like is sitting or laying down, watching YouTube or some TV shows, or even just laying and listening to music. Sometimes it's swinging because that helps get the juices flowing. It's fun to think about stuff and imagine the possibilities, all the same writing is more enjoyable to me because then I'm getting stuff down, and I don't have to be writing the story, I can just write background stuff or ideas for moments and that's a good feeling
