Yesterday I got some red kandi beads and of course this meant I had to make a Miles Edgeworth themed kandi bracelet :D. Of course yesterday was July 1st as well (at least for me cuz time zones) which is the start of Narumitsu week, so of course I had to make a Phoenix kandi bracelet as well (plus Phoenix is a pretty cool dude imo) and, inject some narumitsu/wrightworth by putting some totally subtle heart beads of contrasting colour into both bracelets X3

Also a few more details about the kandi I made: Miles had black and white beads to represent both his outfit colours and my lack of red kandi beads :'), Pheonix has smiley faces because of what Mia Fey Always told him and, Blue flowers because they look kinda like his lawyer badge in shape (at least to me, plus they're cute beads).

Also I don't plan on doing any fanart of the narumitsu prompts as I don't want to push my left wrist too much and maker sure it's healed this time (^▽^J)

Character Notes:

- Works as the Royal Announcer and as Rosas’ tour guide

- He’s of Greek heritage :)

- I decided to make red and black his key colours to symbolise his boldness and how he’s a secret rebel in plain sight.

- In the RFTS!AU, everyone above 18 has given away their first wish and afterwards, as many as they’d like. Flazino is 21 and like many others, has no idea what were or even how many wishes he did give away.

- Does he love Asha? Yes. Very much. Romantically? Nope. Are they just friends? Yes but also no.

- Acts like a very bouncy and outgoing guy on the job but is actually pretty reserved and calmer whenever he’s just being himself and casual. As a result, he gets exhausted for forcing himself to be extra ‘quirky’ while working.

- The reason he’s so “extra” on his tours is because he wants to make the most out of the only few highlights of his day. Flazino dreads the in-between moments where it just feels like he’s just….waiting. But for what exactly? With no memory of his wishes, he doesn’t have anything to look forward to the next day. Anything that could motivate him. Something that he could pursue. But there’s…nothing. (He hates staring at the ceiling thinking about this every night.)

- One of the only few dreams he does have is his love for learning/using magic. And Flazino is not planning to give that away this time. And thus, he hangs on to it tightly despite the fact its use is forbidden.

- Flazino gets little sleep in most some nights to read and learn about small-scale, simple magic-casting. (It’s the only time he could with minimal risk of getting caught.) It’s a way better thing than spending the night in dreadful emptiness and it’s a distraction from his otherwise, mostly bland day.

- Flazino also notices that he’s not the only person experiencing this weird emptiness. He just seems to be the only one who acknowledges it instead of pretending it’s “fine.” After a few years of waiting for his wishes that are probably never coming, Flazino attempts to negotiate with Magnifico for a “better Wish System” but he always ends up getting ignored though.

- Flazi sort of isolated himself in a way because he couldn’t stand the fake satisfied faces people are going with their lives. He was so damn happy to find out Asha has her own doubts of the king’s wishing system too. He basically stuck around after that.

Flazino: “I swear- I canNOT continue like this anymore. There’s something unfair about all this and I’m SICK of pretending there isn’t just because everyone says so- I don’t sound that crazy, right?”

Asha: ……………. Uhhhhhh No? I get it. Sort of??

Annecy photodump 4 - assorted

This one is just straight up posting my holiday photos. But there's a few little anecdotes along the way.

On Saturday, I unexpectedly ran into a protest passing along the road between Bonlieu and Pathé (the two most important places in Annecy). I'm not entirely sure what it was they were protesting, but it was interesting hearing the familiar rhythms of protest chants with French words.

It was funny seeing Liberty Leading the People printed on a protest sign after watching a film about the context behind its painting earlier in the week.

French coppers wear these little sailor hats, upholding the tradition of police everywhere to wear dorky headwear...

I was standing by the lake trying to take a selfie with my DSLR when this guy in an Unreal Engine t-shirt sitting nearby offered to photograph me. I tried to say 'yeah so it's in aperture priority mode' to which he replied 'don't worry, I'm not a noob', switched it to manual and rapidly adjusted the aperture and exposure, and proceded to take some insanely nice photos of me.

By contrast in my own attempts, the sky is way overexposed...

So thanks, that guy! I am entirely shown up with my own camera, but one day I'll learn x3

BD Fugue is the big BD (comics) shop in Bonlieu. It's a wonderful place to just go in and look at all the enormous glossy books. For example, historical comics...

or go over to the fantasy section for some 30-odd volumes of Elfes...

There were a whole lot of similar comics to this series called stuff like 'Orcs' and 'Wizards'. (I don't remember the exact titles.) Must be quite popular!

As well as comics, it stocks books on animation and animation history. Conveniently, a lot of these are in English. I held off on buying comics in French (mostly...) but I got a very technical book on animation timing and a history of European animation, both of which I'm sure I'll be turning to a lot in the next year.

The VR room has a lot of bright coloured floors which provide some very nice examples of indirect diffuse-diffuse lighting, which is very expensive to render in games.

There's something inherently funny about seeing people immersed in VR like this.

Annecy has an abundance of old churches and cathedrals. Here's a few, inside and out...

I think these are mostly Catholic, though I don't really know enough about church architecture to say. I was a little disappointed to find out that you can't go up to that little glass dome on the roof of the cathedral, but on the other hand, it is a very pretty dome.

On another note - I've been in a number of cities over the past couple months - London, Glasgow, Belgrade, Geneva, Annecy - and in every single one I've seen graffiti and stickers saying 'free gaza'. (Though I also saw a weird little Zionist street stand with a bunch of leaflets and shit in Geneva.) Here's some graffiti in Annecy and a BDS sticker from Zagreb. I don't want to draw too many conclusions from this - the governments of most of these countries are still doggedly backing the genocide - but it does feel striking to see support for Gaza expressed at least in the graffiti culture of so many places.

One of the coolest things about Annecy is that the Alps are always kind of like... just hanging out in the background. They're so enormous it's hard to photograph them really! But here's a few shots with Alps chilling behind.

I call this one Fundamental Forces.

It's not really a particularly focused build; this is the Lancer equivalent of Magic the Gathering's "Five Colour Good Stuff." There aren't any particularly cohesive themes here, just good stuff that's unlikely to let you down. We're gonna use Magnetic Cannon and Ferrous Lash to smash people into things and then throw our shield at them. We're gonna use LUCIFER with Nuclear Cavalier to make our Torch do absurd damage. We're gonna throw fuel rods at people to cool our mech. We're gonna zip around the battlefield with Skirmisher. We're gonna get into melee range and have soft cover because of Combined Arms.

It won't be a standout build but it'll be pretty fun, I think.

I think maybe there could be a main selection and subselection? Like after choosing brown, we have:

to continue choosing the colors. And can we have more abnormal colors like ruby, garnet, amethyst etc.? Think it would be great to have some unusual eyes colors

Stats

If you don't mind, can the stats each have a 10%-30% for us to choose at the beginning? Since mc is pretty steong, I imagine they are still strong, wth the only reason is because they're in a new body and their soul are still trying to connect with it, so that their strengths won't recover immediately. But, it might be cool if there are pre-existing stats on the start.

Please do not worry - I do want to add the eye options. 🤣 I just have yet to place them in because of circumstances.

But I do find it interesting with the main and sub selections with the colours. However, I imagine it would be annoying because that would mean more 'page animating' for readers - and I imagine that would be a bit of an annoyance for those who are quick-reading or bum-rushing the customization point of the stories! But I will try my best to give diverse eye colour options (All of them natural 👀 something that made MC stand out a lot in both worlds)

In regards to the stats - it's what the carriage thing is about, actually, to increase the base stats. There'll be more opportunities to improve your skills and have your body finally catch up with your potential. I did think about letting MC have a pre-existing stat, but I also want to give MC that fresh start. (Plus, I think I tend to be generous with the stats without thinking so XD)

It's hard to pick an all-time favourite but this one right here is one I like a lot but rarely have an opportunity to use. It's just nice overall; the expression, the colouration, how his eyes pop with that bright green and the fangs combined with his pretty facial structure!

^ Real World Height-Check!!!! ^ It's them it's them it's them it-- AUGH!!! I LOVE THEM!!!

I (Twee) made the bases-- Salted did the clothes over them! We also split up the colouring; I (Twee) did Kel & Aubrey, and Salted did Mari, Sunny & Basil!

Some design choices; Kel is a bit less tan than he would be if he went out more. He also tends to wear some of Hero's old clothes, since his don't fit anymore and he doesn't go shopping. Aubrey has more scrapes, but is generally a lot more healthy! She's the exact same height as Sunny, but she's leaning on Basil to make fun of how short he is. Mari is also the second tallest-- after Kel's ridiculous growth.

Some extra notes~! Sunny is less Dead Inside due to Mari's help. He and Aubrey are friends, and he has a strange relationship with Basil; Mari is a bit dim due to Hero's loss, and is generally tired because of college; Aubrey is more sporty-- Her baseball bat doesn't have nails, and she actually does baseball as a sport! She and Basil are friends; Basil is the most different! Because of Kel and Sunny changing drastically after Hero's death, he took to blaming Kel on Sunny becoming antisocial. He's a lot more... angry! Still anxious and a crybaby, but we've totally taken to calling him Emosil-- I'll save the infodumping for a different post yikes!

^ Concepts ^ The birth of Emosil, Experimenting with Kel's colours and giving him longer/shaggier hair, and an unfinished Mari doodle! Salted did Basil and Kel, I (Twee) did Mari!

^ Bullying Emosil ^ He is. So fun to bully I swear. Who gave us the power to do this to him, we are so mean pjdsfgpd--

Unhelpful context: Because Sunny and Basil had a falling out, Sunny blocked him on Tumblr. Basil proceeds to literally break down crying and begs him to unblock him every other month when they run into eachother. This is dubiously canon.

Slightly more helpful context: When Kel comes out of his isolation- (which is different from Sunny's; we'll get to that masterpost eventually)- He runs into Sunny and Basil at the park. He see's that theres a commotion, and he moves to step in. Instead of a knife, Kel has a fucking rock-- and somehow, some way, he proceeds to literally throw the rock at Basil's head-- Me and Salted keep joking about Basil and Sunny fighting because of the Tumblr block, and Kel assuming that Basil is bullying Sunny. Everything we say is extremely dubiously canon, and I find that hysterical.

^ Disaster. ^ Wholesome bonding, before Hero died. Hero begged Mari to burn it, but it was added to the album. After he passed, Mari took the photo, and keeps it in her wallet for when shes sad. In the background, Sunny got brained by a ball Aubrey and Kel were playing with, and gets a mild concussion-- Thus:

Met at a café. Layla wants a nice place to study/do work, and the coffee is good, so... Kuni likes the tea, and that no one bothers him during his weird silent moments of looking at nowhere while thinking of how meaningless whatever the fuck he’s doing is 

Kuni recognised Layla, but didn’t think much about it at First, and only ever talked to her when she was freaking out about her homework (“Why do I have to write so many papers, whyyy...) and he told her to stop bitching and gave her some sweets the staff always give to accompany his tea (to “shut her up”) (he was NOT concerned about the Akademiya’s way of teaching) (He did not help her with her wording and structure of the paper afterwards, you must be insane to even suggest that) 

They didn’t really talk, but they just. Sort of agreed that on Saturdays they share a table and do whatever. Kuni helps Layla study, and he knows all sorts of flowery words for her papers and works 

Also. Their order: Green tea, two espressos and two glazed donuts (Kuni also gets dark chocolate sometimes) 

Kuni writes. I haven’t decided what he writes, but he does. I’m inbetween character analysis (from things he watches/reads, yes, he’s a fandom dude in my mind.) and poetry, tbh. I think he heard it was a good way to express emotion without beating up fatui agents and started as a way to “prove just how ridiculous this is!” and he actually liked it. He hasn’t stopped since, bro can pull out a five page creative writing out of his ass in half an hour trust me I’m the bow on his outfit 

Layla’s handwriting is like. Seeing heaven. (When she’s not about to pass out) And Kuni’s is like watching a rich kid fall into poverty without any way to get back up

Ngl, with how will 'Two and Lav's pallets work together, I kina ship em now. They just fit so well. Plus they look about the same age and the idea of, what appears to be, a really reserved 'Two being initially 'friendship adopted' by Lav just works. I doubt ya'll would do anything like that but I'll dream

It is a pretty cute idea! They are very sweet together and the colours are 11/10 side by side X3! The most I could see is them as friends and getting up to all sorts of shenanigans though!! I’ve never seen the Mewtwo in general having a mate, on a personal level, as he seemed to have other priorities to a very young me ;3! But if I had to give him a partner, I’d go with a similar, but altered dynamic as I like two level headed mewtwos butting heads more, with the one being outgoing and the other being more reserved!
