Do I replay old fights in my head and torture myself over how I should have done them differently? I'm a woman. Of course I do.

I’ll never find love. My expectations of men have become too high from alien romance books.

A very good space ship engineer with one brain cell that is working so hard!
I like to think he tinkers with making specialized attachments for his prosthetic arm (like a welding attachment and other tools)

⭐️NEW REVIEW⭐️ Choosing Theo by Victoria Aveline Published March 2020 KindleUnlimited RATING: 3/5 Reread?? Totally would reread Another Alien romance?? Yes please!! Especially when the men on this alien planet go to husbandry school, where they learn to bee the perfect husbands, who wouldn’t want that…. Theo is so dark and broody and definitely lets the animalistic side of him come out where Jade is concerned. This is definitely a fresh book to get you out of a reading slump! The world building in incredible. The marriage of convenience🤌🏻 definitely recommend! Blurb: Being kidnapped by aliens is only the start of Jade's problems. Thankfully, her rescuers, an alien race known as the Clecanians, are willing to protect her, but she has to stay on their planet for one year and respect the rules of their culture—including choosing a husband. Jade refuses at first but decides to play along until she can find a way back to Earth.

Theo, a scarred mercenary who prefers a life of solitude, is stunned when Jade selects him as her husband. After years of being passed over, he never imagined he would be chosen and neither did anyone else. Only one explanation makes sense…the curvy enticing female must be a spy, and Theo’s determined to break her cover using any means necessary.

As Jade and Theo are forced to spend time together, their chemistry becomes undeniable. But neither can afford to bring love into the equation, especially since Jade seems determined to go home. After all, she can't possibly stay here, right? ___________________________________________ #choosingtheo #clecanians #clecanianseries #victoriaavelineauthor #alienromance #romancebooks #romancereadersofinstagram #bookstagram #booktok #bookrecommendations #bookreview #darkromance https://www.instagram.com/p/CpsbA8Tr5C0/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Hey! I listened to the time traveler’s wife audiobook while walking on a treadmill to work out. I thought if it only because of it’s relation to non-sequential. I really loved what you did with the idea and all the twists and turns! I’m at a loss for something else to listen to and I’d greatly appreciate any suggestion you might have. Ideally something light… nothing dark because that would likely freak me out when walking to my car when it’s dark out after my treadmill time.
OK to be completely honest, I am mostly reading like full on smutty romance novels 😂🤣.
I am being extremely vulnerable by sharing these. Full disclosure: a lot of them are extremely smutty and most are fantasy based and some include just straight up monster fucking. NO ONE JUDGE ME, OK?!
Broken Bonds by J. Bree
Nora’s Kraken by Leigh Miller
Clecanian series by Victoria Aveline
Literally anything Kathryn Moon writes
Pack Darling by Lola Rock
Bears in Mind by Sam Hall
Bonded by Thorns by Elizabeth Helen
The Right Move by Liz Thomforde
Practice Makes Perfect by Sarah Adams
Buttttttttt… if you’re not looking for that, I have very few recs for you at the moment. But my reading is only going up these days so I’m sure I’ll have better recs for you soon. Also some of these are actually very dark lol. I’m sorry. But it’s all I have 🥲:
A Court of Thorns & Roses (series) by Sarah J. Maas
Currently in the middle of reading her other series Throne of Glass
A Certain Hunger by Chelsea G. Summer
The Plated Prisoner (series) by Raven Kennedy
The Paris Apartment by Lucy Foley

My Overall Rating For The Book
"I Bought The Book/Series And Want Them Signed Please Holy Shit"
This series is fantastic, and I highly recommend it. I loved our two leads here, their story was a fun ride from start to finish! The big questions that come up after a bunch of events happen in the series, is also very exciting. I cannot wait to see what happens!

Lots of things I'd been looking forward to reading came out in May so it was a decent reading month. I got back on my KU bullshit early in the month thanks to a three months free offer and promptly struggled/vague blogged my way through The Home Smirker Wrecker. This was one I was looking forward to for the messy polyamory and it was not a good time due to writing/editing issues.
Highlights of the month were Love, Lies, and Cherry Pie, the Starlight's Shadow series, Happy Medium, and Ruling Sikthand. In order to finish Beneath the Trees, I had to go support my local comic shop by buying numbers 4 and 6 because Hoopla finally updated but only with #5. The Home Wrecker was KU and everything else was from either Hoopla or Libby.
Annie Bot - Sierra Greer
The Angel of Indian Lake (The Indian Lake Trilogy #3) - Stephen Graham Jones* **
Love, Lies, and Cherry Pie - Jackie Lau* **
Hunt the Stars (Starlight's Shadow #1) - Jessie Mihalik
Beneath the Trees Where Nobody Sees #4, 5, 6 - Patrick Horvath
Eclipse the Moon (Starlight's Shadow #2) - Jessie Mihalik
Happy Medium - Sarah Adler
Remember: The Science of Memory and the Art of Forgetting - Lisa Genova
Ruling Sikthand (Clecanian #7) - Victoria Aveline
The Home Wrecker (The Goode Brothers #2) - Sara Cate
The Hunger and the Dusk #6 - G. Willow Wilson

Have you ever want to talk about alien c*ck all while sipping a delicious beverage? Well do I have the livestream for you! My storyteller tier members on patreon will have access to this super fun cocktail hour, in addition to all the fun stickers, prints and bookmarks in their physical rewards mailer! I'll go over the history of and make a fun cocktail, all while we discuss all the wonders of alien and monster romance books.
This month's special guest is Victoria Aveline, author of the Clecanian Series and just general peach of a person. Ask her all your burning questions! I've heard she's especially fond of people asking "when is Rheago's book coming?".
Hope we'll see you there! http://patreon.com/petrapalerno

Am I living or just waiting for the next chapter of “Like a moth to a flame” to drop?
That being said, Simone have you ever read The Clecanians series by Victoria Aveline?
I read the first two books and I’m obsessed with them! And the guys have so much in common with monster!Din
They purr 🤧🤧🤧
They are not monsters (they’re aliens instead) and it’s my first “non-human love interest” read bc I, like you, like my protagonist to be as close to a human as possible. And I’m not brave enough to read stuff with too alien alien men.
That’s my book rec for today
hahaha both 😌💜
i have not read/heard of those, and i am very interested! this sounds like it fits into my monsterfucking niche very nicely. you know i love a purring monster asldkfjsldkfj 😍
thank you so much for sharing! i will definitely be looking those up
