#some process photos#first made the figures out of clay#then made a mold using a two parts putty#casted the molds with a two parts epoxy resin#sanded the figures then painted them with acrylic paint#I recommend spraying them afterwards so the paint doesn’t chip off#things I learned with trial and error#cover the first mold side in vasaline before doing the second half#use hot glue to keep the molds together before you pour the resin cast#test and play around with the proportions#I found that using slightly more A/orange got me better results#it’s good to have a second small mold ready for any excess you don’t use#if air bubbles are getting trapped in places similar to suns rays#it works to cut small tunnels leading up to the top of the mold#they will snap off during cleanup#the clay I used was a tougher one that didn’t leave fingerprints#tougher to work with but you get cleaner results and it’s sturdier#I found it helped to use a hair dryer to soften it#if anyone wants to try this I’m happy to answer questions#it’s a lot of trail and error but believe me it’s worth it and you get to keep something that lasts forever#also you can keep making more little guys haha#waterpark au#Waterspark bay au#crunch art#mold making#package design#printed on tabloid oversized#process
