sorry this took so long, i knew what i wanted the hcs to be but i didnt really know how to actually write it so 😭 i kinda made this like a found family type of trope ( not really but ) if u want smth different lmk :) ( implied reader doesnt have parents / good relationship with them but very brief cos i didnt really know how to start this off oops )

you were listening to one of jesus' preachings when he called you to follow him

of course you went with no hesitation

he was so warm and welcoming and you hadnt felt that in a while

when you first started following the group , it took a while for you to remember their names

names just weren't your thing

but especially the brothers

you called andrew simon and simon andrew

once, you got john's name wrong for the third time in a day

"james do you know if- james? are you listening to me?"

he straight up ignored you

he thinks you are doing it on purpose

and after you actually do learn their names, you keep doing it to him because it's funny

john ranting to literally anybody who is within earshot "do you hear her?! she is doing it on purpose! my name is john! J-O-H-N. john! i know she knows it too. it's only my name she messes up!"

z intrigues you the most

you hear him early in the morning because he gets up to train

for what you have no idea but little james says it's just a habit

he teaches you how to throw a few punches when he catches you watching him

when you guys go back to capernaum you stay with simon and eden for a few days

and if you think eden is like a mom

wait until you meet salome

she adores you

john is lowkey so offended by this

but in an older brother way yk

anyways

after meeting you she somehow convinces simon to let you stay with them

she teachers you how to cook and everything

you're her new child whether u like it or not

then we have nathaniel who becomes your partner in crime

you two are so chaotic together it actually becomes a problem

"philip, watch them"

philip stays with you anyways

it's a good thing too because somehow you both managed to start a fire and didnt know how to put it out ???

Update

The ideas for my Big James imagine a nonni requested a year ago are finally coming to me now. This last week has been rough; something bad last Wednesday and Thursday happened to me. All I’m going to say is I was taken advantage of, and someone saw my tender, compassionate heart, and used it. I was naive, and I have lost sleep over it, I could hardly eat, I have felt sick, I have lost peace and sanity over it. I am finally starting to get better, but I am still on edge and things have either gotten a little worse or no better than they have been, as things are remaining the same way they have been. Anyway, I am getting back to writing, I am continuing my RE studies, I am still sending out resumes and failing to get hired, I am going back to my young adult youth group, and rebuking evil people and the enemy. My imagine right now is outlined in bullet points, and once I’m done with it, I just have to write it out into a full imagine. Please be careful who you trust!

s4 james and john are truly unhinged. they see their buddy get promoted and given a cool little new name and go well that's just because he answered the question first. we totally knew that too. it was a test actually

My favorite scenes in "The Chosen"

Season one, episode four: the miracle of the fish. I love this scene, it's the first time we see the fishermen and Jesus together, there's just something nostalgic about it for some reason lol

Season one, episode five: the wedding! I love the scenes where the disciples are just getting to know each other better.

Season two, episode one: Sons of Thunder. That is all.

Season two, episode two: When Jesus called Nathaniel to follow Him. It kinda felt like Nathaniel was getting a second chance. (at what? Life I suppose lol)

Season three, episode two: *That* scene with Little James. As someone with MANY health problems, this really hit me hard. I can relate with James, "why not me? why all the others?" is a question I've always asked, but watching this made me feel seen, like He actually cares.. So uh yeah- aNyWaY! Moving on..

Season three, episode five; the pool party! I love seeing the disciples and Jesus have fun.

Spoilers for season four ahead!

Season four, episode two: Si- I MEAN PETER- forgiving Matthew. They even hugged. We've been waiting three seasons for this lol

Season four, episode four: That ending with Gaius! So wholesome! Also can we talk about when he said "shalom" and he was explaining to his kids what it meant, and he told them his FRIENDS say it. That means he counts the disciples and Jesus as friends.
