It was a good day for finds: a handmade sweater from an estate sale, and a perfectly nice pot from someone's trash.
But also a small child in a treehouse dumped water on my head so 🤷🏻‍♀️

Tumblr media
Plot: Imagine being the legitimized bastard of Daemon Targaryen, and having a very devoted family.
Cw: incest/targcest, yandere/lovesick behavior, unhealthy relationships, platonic and romantic yanderes, not everyone is romantically involved with reader, yandere EVERYONE x reader, it is kind of implied that Daemon has hit reader before, or that reader is aware Daemon is violent
>You loved Rhaenyra
>As a child, she'd always make time for you, and eagerly wait for your arrival. She always wished for a girl, and while doing your hair and telling you tales, she always said you were everything she could ever desire in a lass
>So before she married your father, you loved Rhaenyra
>You loved Daemon
>Your father had always doted on you, you had always been his favorite. He defended you fiercely against any slander, and reminded you that all that mattered was that you were dragonborn, you were his seed and carried the Targaryen lineage. You were his first born, his little girl
>So before he married Rhaenyra, you loved your father
>But then you had too look at yourself in the mirror while being dressed for the big day of your father's not first, not second but third wedding day. Not even a year later of Laena's passing
>You remembered Rhaenyra flying with your father and step-mother, while your uncle Laenor would stay on land with you
>You look back at that memory, and can't help but imagine Laena's reaction
>They married in secret, just them, a septon and you
>When you asked your father why your sisters or Rhaenyra's kids were there, he said he trusted you the most
>But you didn't, you didn't trust him anymore
>It was never spoken, but you knew Laenor's "mysterious" death somehow involved them
>This marriage also meant you would have to say goodbye to your sisters, Rhaena and Baela, who would stay in Driftmark
>They both wept, and Rhaena threw a tantrum, but it was to no avail
>And as much as you loved Jace, Luke and Joffrey, they were not your sisters
>Despite the warnings, that year you mounted your dragon for the first time
>Two of the dragon keepers had to run through the halls of dragonstone to inform your father of your dissaparence along with Dagahrion's, it was not difficult to put two and two together
>He got on Caraxes and chased after you
>Like a wise hand once said, not being capable of controlling your daughter seemed to be a tradition in the house of Targaryen
>It was not hard to find you, Dagahrion had grew even concerningly so in the last season, making him easy to spot
>The dragon was shaking, unused to being rode, Daemon begged to every god he had ever disappointed to please allow you to survive, anxiety pooling in his gut
>You were hugging Dagahrion as hard as you could, with your eyes shut. Tears streaming down your cheeks, your face felt like it was freezing due to the wind hitting you. Your garments were restrictive, causing your legs to be tightly wrapped around the scales of his neck
>"Lykirī, lykirī" you kept screaming to your dragon, until he steadied and finally landed at your command
>You were surprised to see Caraxes land with you, your father's screams were inaudible between the fear, the wind and Dagahrion's noises
>When you got off your dragon, your father's expression made your blood run cold. He approached, and you knew by his stance, he could only mean to hit you as soon as he was close enough, you fearfully walked towards him
>But instead of a slap, he hugged you so close to his chest you had trouble breathing. But you did not care, you simply let him silently suffocate you, you can feel his worry, his anger, the turmoil inside him, his heartbeat says it all
>He slowly lets go, and proclaims "I will not have any daughter of mine fall off her dragon, be aware" it sounded like a threat, but you knew in what terms your sire had always spoken in
>He took you home to Dragonstone, on Caraxes, having Dagahrion follow
>When you came back, you noticed Rhaenyra's arm was bleeding once again, she had developed the bad habit of picking on the stitches when she was anxious, but never on this level
>She ran to hug you, and you smelled her blood, the same blood of the valyrian ceremony
>It was difficult to forgive, but you did
>You exchanged multiple letters with Alicent Hightower, and she had always reminded you, that the seven watch after you, and know you have the strength to forgive
>You had spoken to her plainly.
>"[...] You said my father will never love Rhaenyra more than he loves me, but that is not what afflicts me. He may love me more, but I am competent —as competent as any person with a fine set of two eyes— to see he loves her more than lady Laena. She was not my mother, but in her heart of gold, she held me, and at the risk of disrespect, I dare to say she was the closest I could get. I wonder if dragons would get to feel this way too, Caraxes is a son of Dreamfyre and Vermithor, yet they are all apart, and Dagahrion is a son of Vhagar, but has no sire that we know of. Do they feel lonely? I wish they do not, I don't wish for their misery."
>"My dearest Y/N.
Despite my many years here, I do not know about dragons as nearly much as I'd like. They are miraculous creatures, but like any one of us, they were created by the god of seven faces, So I believe they are capable of such emotions. But princess, do not think only of their misery, think of their joy. If I am not overstepping, then may I offer you a solution for both predicaments of loneliness? Both Dagahrion and your grace are the blood of the dragon, and if it pleased you to remain surrounded by your kin, you are always welcome to King's Landing, Sunfyre, Dreamfyre, Vhagar, Vermithor and their riders are always honored to give you company. Perhaps one day you'll call the red keep your home, if you'll excuse my boldness.
While you are not at arms reach from me, I keep you in my mind and my prayers. Pray to the mother, sweet child, you need her like one day I needed her.
Warm regards."
>No matter how much Alicent spoke of him, you did not want anything to do with Aemond for a long time, it was painful
>But you would send one raven for Daeron and one for Helaena almost every week
>Daeron was everything you once saw in his older brother, a knight, a hero. And he was oh so gentle, just like his sister. Perhaps it was due to his position as the youngest, but Daeron never screamed to be heard, never dolled up to be seen, he was gentle like a summer breeze, and never tried to control the conversation in your corresponde
>And as time passed and you kept Alicent's words in your head, your step-brothers also became close companions, each of them sweeter than the last one, the Velaryon boys were like warm honey in your presence, sweet and sticky
>Jace was always respectful, but there was some things you didn't know about him
>Like how he stole an old nightgown of yours to cuddle with at night, or how he keeps hiding your quills so you'll stop writing Daeron
>At some point it is impossible to hide your correspondence from your family, causing Daemon to forbid the servants from giving you birds. This ultimately fails, as you always charm the servants into doing whatever you want
>You sometimes travel to King's Landing on dragonback along with Rhaenyra, you can see that side your family, and Rhaenyra can closely watch the Hightowers actions
>Despite everything, this time was happy
>You loved Rhaenyra, and Daemon, and Alicent, and Viserys, and Jace, Luke and Joffrey, you loved Daeron and Helaena
>But what a horrible feature life has, when everything that is wonderful is meant to end

The Unknown Hamilton: Lewis Hamilton x Daughter!Reader
Tumblr media
Y/n Hamilton is 16 years old and has never known her father. She grew up in the foster care system after her mother gave her up for adoption, wanting to cover her tracks before actually getting with her dad. Explaining this is that Nicole Scherzinger had met Lewis at a club where they had some type of quickie in the bathroom and never saw each other again until the two years after, which gave her time to give birth and come back, when they officially started dating.
Lewis Hamilton is a very busy man as known, he doesn't get much time for himself due to his work in Formula 1 and his side jobs, including The Hamilton Commision. He and Nicole had dated for 8 whole years, yet even after they had split, he is still unaware of the fact that he is a father (leaving him to the mindset that he would wait until retirement to START having kids).
Today is race day as the drivers are in their cars, speeding at over 200 km/p/h fighting for the pole positions. Toto and the team were focus on the race, when one of the mechanics came running in. "Boss, there's a girl outside that needs to speak with you." the man said as he tried to catch his breath. "She provided these papers that says her name is Y/n Hamilton. her mom is Nicole Scherzinger, and her dad is Lewis Hamilton. It's her birth paper." He explained as the team looked at him in wonder. "Bring her in, Shawn" Toto ordered and returned his attention to the monitor. A few minutes later, Shawn returned with a bloodied, bruised and scared girl who cowered under the gaze of the adults around her. "Hey sweetheart, no need to be scared. We won't harm you." Angela reassured the girl as she led her to sit down onto the coach.
Due to her injuries, the medic drew some blood from Y/n while patching her up as her wounds didn't need a trip to ER. The blood that was taken, was used for testing as they performed a DNA test in the laboratory that came back to be a 99.9% paternity match with Lewis. The results shocked everyone on the team as they didn't know what to do with the news. The race eventually finished, and Lewis made his way pass everyone, even though they tried to stop him, towards his driver's room and was shocked when he walked in on a female sleeping on his bed. Out of respect he closed the door and walked back out. "Someone's daughter is sleeping in my room, do any of you about this?" Lewis asked as everyone went silent. Since no one answered, he just went off with Angela to complete his media duties which is a post-race press conference.
"So Lewis, I know that you have been busy with the race today, but my question will be very off topic. While walking past the Mercedes garage today I heard your team talking about your 'daughter' and I would like to ask if you're willing to explain?" The journalist asked, leaving Lewis confused as he looked around. "I have no idea what you're talking about. Everyone knows that I don't have a child of my own. If you're speaking of my niece, then she's not here today" he replied as the woman shook her head. "Your team seemed to have not informed you. A teenage girl showed up to the track today completely covered in cuts and bruises as Mercedes took her in. They took the documents that she had and went through them as it stated that you are her father and your ex, Nicole Scherzinger, is her mother. A DNA test was processed, and it came back positive." the woman explained causing an uproar of surprise from everyone as their couldn't believe their ears.
The rest of the interview went by in a blur for Lewis as he kept quiet, giving one worded answers until the end, making his way back to the hospitality. "Toto, why didn't you tell me? Is the girl sleeping in my driver's room my daughter?" Lewis asked as he tried to keep his anxiety at bay. "Yes Lewis. She came to us earlier and Angela and Susie managed to put her to sleep. She was so scared and didn't trust anyone but them. They showed her pictures of you and told stories so hopefully when you go back in there, she'll allow you to sit close to her at least." Toto reassured, giving his driver a comforting hug before he left.
With shaky steps and a racing pulse, Lewis walked back down to his driver's room, taking a deep breath before knocking and entering. Upon his entry, he found his daughter looking at some of his family pictures, in tears at the fact that she doesn't know them. He slowly made his way to sit next to her before slowly bringing her into a hug, both of them now sobbing uncontrollably. "Hi dad, I'm sorry to interrupt your work. It's just that mom gave up her rights to me. When I took the train to her house last week, she cursed and turned me away and I had nowhere else to go after running away from the orphanage. They treated me so bad; they almost killed me!" Y/n cried into her father's chest as he comforted her, his own tears now silently falling. 'Don't worry my sweet girl, I'll make sure that no one hurts you anymore. You won't have a mom, but I'll make sure to do my best to take care of you" Lewis calmly declared as they rocked back and forth in each other's embrace.
Overtime, Y/n was spotted in the paddock once or twice as Lewis kept her interaction with the media to a minimum. Lewis enrolled Y/n into a new school as his parents were looking after her while he raced. Overall, Lewis and Y/n's lives life changed significantly for the better as they both now felt fully completed and supported endlessly.

Tumblr media
Manaia had spent her Saturdays either working, cleaning or babysitting. Often, it was all three in that exact order. She'd wake up at 6 am and get ready for her job that paid absolute shit, and return home to a filthy house. Of course, her mother was no use. Her uncle that just moved in was no use. However, they'd complain about anything and everything not looking the way they wanted it to. Her other siblings who liked to be in and out of the house were also no use. And Junior, well, he is still a clueless child who's barely explored the world, let alone school. To Manaia, she'd admit babysitting was the worst of them all. Her mother and uncle were out, leaving an underaged child to look after another underaged child.
Now, if there was one thing more annoying than a Saturday full of deep cleaning, then there wasn't much to be excited about on a Sunday morning. At all.
For it to only be 6 am, it was too early for it to be this loud. Manaia groaned into her pillow, blocking her ears as she heard her mother's loud voice echoing through the walls. Her younger brother was hugging her arm trying to dwell more in dreamland, but they both found it useless as they were unable to fall back into slumber.
"Get up! Get ready for loku! [church]" the elder's voice rung through every corner of their small house.
"Mhh," Manaia got up, scratching her head in anger as the yelling turned into chants of her name repeatedly. "Okay, I'm up," she says to herself as a response.
She finds herself laughing as she watches her younger brother, Junior, consumed by all three thick blankets. So that explains why she was cold throughout the whole night, "Wake up, baby, we have to get ready."
"But I'm tired," the boy gets up and rubs his eyes, Manaia wraps an arm around his shoulder while smiling, "I know, but you'll see your friends at church the faster you get ready, yeah?" She tries to sway her brother.
He smiles immediately at the thought, "You're right."
"I always am, now go wake up Pele before mum starts yelling again," She laughs as her brother sulks at the thought.
Manaia had spent her sweet time looking around for the perfect dress to go with the sei Miguel had gifted her, but every dress she had was either too dark or too light to suit the colours she had. She dug further into her cupboards, squealing with excitement as she found the perfect puletasi.
Changing immediately, she sat on her bed and took off her top. Midway of changing without a single warning, the door swung open. Manaia yelped in surprise, wrapping her front with her blanket.
"Sorry, your mum told me to tell you to hurry up." A deep voice informed, a hint of smug in their tone.
She looks at the door and there stood a relative of hers. One she never liked. He was cocky, prideful, as well as a fucking creep. Manaia knew well to keep her distance.
Frightened to respond, she nods her head and mutters a small thank you.
Tumblr media
"Where's my ofu loku? I gave it to you to iron."
"No, you didn't. You said put it in the wash."
"YOU- Kiuga, don't fuck with me right now."
Both latter's shut their mouth as a shout runs through the walls of the small house, "Kiuga! Siana and her kids are coming over so we can go loku together, did you puga the kipoki!?" [ boil the kettle? ]
Kiuga groans in annoyance looking over at David, "I thought I told you to- nevermind," he sighs, yet think nonetheless that standing and doing nothing about his problem would do anything, "Okay, find me a white button up and a black ie at least? I'm going to clean before Nai comes," he leaves the room.
Tumblr media
Manaia could feel herself growing a migraine. She was stuck between a guy who seemed to be scared of using deodorant - who also had the choice to sit in the empty front seat - and a kid who did nothing but cry because his mother yelled at him and sent him death glares through the rearview mirror. It didn't seem to help when her phone was on 7% and her headphones were forgotten at home.
Her hopes of a good morning are high when their car is parked outside Kiuga's house. She wishes to run out the car and knock on the door, but is crushed when her mother demands she help Junior fix his outfit as it's stained with snot and tears. He would not have been crying if her mother had learnt not to be so aggressive in the morning. Or in general.
Her mother and uncle leave the car.
She sighs, her heart breaks at the sight of her brother looking up at her with teary eyes. Gently wiping his snotty face, she cupped his cheeks and gave him a comforting smile, "Are you okay, my honey?"
Junior shakes his head, hiccuping back a cough. His breathing slows down.
"It's okay not to feel okay, baby. Would you like a hug?"
Without an answer, he wraps his arms around Manaia's waist.
"Mum's a meanie," Junior whispers with a pout on his face.
"Mum's just getting old. She can be very impatient, she doesn't mean to hurt other people's feelings," she runs a calming hand up and down his back.
"Are you going to be mean to me when you're old?"
"No, Jay. I can never be mean to you," she sighs.
Manaia looks out the window, just as Kiuga rushes to the door of the car and opens it with a wide smile, "Manaia!"
He looks over to Junior who's engulfed by his friend's arms, "Hey, Jay," he says softly, he takes a seat beside Manaia. Placing an arm on her shoulder as he smiles at the small boy.
"You're a strong boy, you'll be fine," he ruffles his hair. Junior smiles through his tears.
"Where's David?"
"Right here!"
The three look over at the opened car door, the feeling of being squished together in a small car was no problem at this point in their life, this wasn't their first time doing so. David pushes Kiuga over, forcing his big form into the car.
Since young, Manaia wasn't fond of finding friends. Places like school, family gatherings, and drink-ups her mother would host were insanely too much. It was crowded and full of people. Church of all things were the worst. Something about teaching people how to live "right", don't do this, don't do that, would be drilled into their ass, only for sin to be penetrated right into their minds right after a sermon. Hypocritical kids who would make fun of her for having a mother who drank and drank, who all unknowingly had fathers that were long gone because of the same sitch her mother was in. Her older siblings were no help to her problem either. They only made things worse for her at home.
She had her baby brother. He was enough. He was everything.
Until two beaming families had joined. There, she was introduced to Kiuga and David. Two cousins who lived a few houses down from each other, but shared the bond of two siblings. Just like Manaia and Junior.
They hung out at church. They hung out at Bible studies. They moved to her school and grew even closer. And that was where they all met Sione. Her now, best friend.
Speaking of which, Manaia's phone dings.
Sione <3: Naia, can you bring those white chips you gave me last time? 😞😞 I'll come early to school if you do i swear
"You're only use your messaging app? Did you delete your socials again?" Kiuga asks upon seeing seeing Sione's contact name.
Manaia nods her head, "Only for a while so I can study properly without my mum complaining. Do not Disturb barely works on me because I end up going on my phone anyway."
buzz buzz
(bololicker) M.Ohara_99 has sent a message to pussy eatersssss
M.Ohara_99: Good morning, everyone. I hope you have a good service today at church. Blessings to the three of you.
A smile creeps onto David's face.
"Is that the girl you've been texting for a few months now?" Kiuga asks beside him. He shakes his head.
"Nah, just Mig being Mig," he whispers, hoping the mention of Manaia's small crush doesn't get her all flustered.
"You know.. she's wearing the sei he got her," David raises a brow, "I think you should show him."
The two whisper to each other, Manaia looks over to them in concern, "Are you okay?"
They nod their head and smile at her.
David intervenes in their moment of silence, "Oh Naia, can I take a photo of you wearing your sei? I just want to make sure I get the right one for my mum when I go shopping next week," he winks slyly at Kiuga, who which he rolls his eyes at.
Manaia agrees blindly, "Get Junior and I in it! Come closer, baby," she wraps her arms around his head and he's forcefully squished between her arms and stomach, nonetheless the boy giggles.
"And.. there! Thanks, Nai."
David hits send and grins evily at Manaia.
"What is it?" She asks.
"Nah, nah, nothing."
buzz buzz
David chuckles to himself at Miguel's reaction.

"Ew! Get off, you're drooling on me!" Manaia squeals moving her shoulder as Kiuga groans at the interruption of his slumber.
"Sorry, what did I miss?"
"Nothing much," David whispers, "Pastor just mentioned another funeral we have to save money up for."
"Nothing much? Another funeral? David, that's so mean. That's so much to miss!" Manaia growls both the boys off for their behaviour.
"Who the hell died this time?"
Their voices were hushed down to a whisper as they sat at the back of everyone.
"It's so cold, why do they always blast the AC in here?" Kiuga comments.
"Cause everyone's too broke to have an aircon at home so they use it as much as they can-"
The three big AC's on the walls turn off.
"It's hot now, thanks a lot, Kiuga," Manaia says.
"How is it my fault!?" Kiuga bursts out as David and Manaia shake their head disapprovingly at him.
"I don't know, maybe God got sick of your complaining and turned the AC off for you to shut the fuck up."
"David, we're in church!"
"Ugh, it's so hot!" He leans back into his chair.
"If it's hot here, then imagine the heat in Samoa."
"Imagine the heat in Hell! If you three don't quiet down, I'll make sure you'll quiet down there!" An old lady that was sat right in front of them turned around, sick of their banter.
"Sorry, aunty," Manaia apologises, giving a toothy smile.
David groans, "Why couldn't it be her funeral we're going to?" He sneakily whispers to his close friends.
"David, don't be mean."
"I'm just saying."
"Manaia, I'm going to look so fucking good at this funeral. My chains and rings, all that shit."
"Kiuga, stop talking about it like it's a party. Someone died."
"Well everyone cries, then eats at the big ass table of food right after the service like it was nothing."
"Yeah," David chimes in, "Why go somewhere with a big feed and not look good?"
"...You're both right."
"When are we not?"
She shoves Kiuga in the side as he laughs.
Looking across the other side of the hall, she tries to spot her younger brother sitting with his friends. Smiling happily at the sight of Junior listening attentively to the sermon. She internally cringes at the sight of her uncle looking back at her.
Awkwardly looking anywhere but at him, Manaia focuses her attention back to the front.
"The hell is your uncle doing here? I thought he got deported." An annoyed Kiuga says.
"I thought he got deported twice back to Sa," David comments.
"My mum is letting him stay with us, don't know how long for."
"Speaking of your mum, where's Pele?"
"Home," Manaia says quickly, "She got into an argument with my mum this morning-"
"Are we going to ignore your creepy uncle just looking at you?"
"I rather just ignore him, stop looking his way-"
"If you three do NOT be quiet-"

A new girl claiming to be family shows up on the Uno’s doorstep but not everything is as it seems as she trains to be an operative. Meanwhile, an adult with a connection to this child becomes involved in the DCFDTL’s lives as trouble ensues.
Chapter 5: Papers Please
"Nigel, quick! Which top do you think I should wear?"
The bald child turned in his chair at the table raising his brow at the girl who ran in the doorway still in her pajamas, swallowing his mouth full of sugar-coated rainbow munchie cereal before answering.
"What do you mean?"
"What do you mean, what do I mean?" Robin questioned back, raising her arms that had some of her clothes folded over them to try and emphasize that this was a decision worth some importance. "It's my first day at a new school. I don't know what kind of impression I should make. Should I wear something that says, "I'm a lot of fun! Come be friends with me!" Or something that gives off a mysterious sort of vibe that makes me seem too cool to approach but they secretly want to?"
It was the start of a new week which meant it was time for Robin to officially start school at Gallagher Elementary. It had also been a week since she had first moved in with the Unos'. It seemed like such a short time but she's already infiltrated their treehouse and started gathering minor information when she was able to, "helped" out with two of their missions, and met a strange group of kids who she would secretly be working with, went to a party that she actually found herself enjoying up until the end, and now she was waiting for acceptance to start training for the Kids Next Door. Since her little side mission failed the other night there was no backing out of becoming an operative now that she agreed to it. She would just have to work it in her favor somehow.
"I shouldn't have to be the one to tell you this, Robin" Nigel said as he hopped down from the chair with his now empty bowl and walked over to the sink. "But you're not that cool." He rinsed the milk from his bowl but left the dirty dish there for his mother to take care of later.
Robin pouted as he emphasized the word "cool". Maybe she wasn't considered the most popular but that didn't mean that she wanted her new classmates to think negatively about her.
"Like you're one to talk." She mumbled, sticking her tongue out at him.
"I'm just confused why you would even ask 'cause if you haven't noticed we all wear the same thing every day so why bother changing how you look now?" Nigel pointed out with a slight shrug. "Whatever you feel comfortable in is fine but I suggest you hurry up. We need to leave in a half hour."
Nigel moved past her and up the stairs to finish getting ready himself. He wasn't wrong. They had the option to wear whatever they wanted but they all chose some sort of comfort clothing that they wore every single day and no one seemed to question it. Guess she would still stick with her favorite sweater after all.
───── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ─────
Up in his room, Nigel logged onto his computer real quick to check for any more updates on Robin. Yesterday he had sent in a request to have someone from Global Command do a background check on her and to his surprise they got back to him fairly fast. This was mainly due to the lack of information they were able to gather. Just searching someone's name wasn't that simple but learning that she was a foster child, they hacked into the system she was supposed to be associated with and there was no Robin Hughes listed anywhere. They couldn't find Patricia Foster either. The files were heavily guarded for privacy reasons but this wasn't their first encounter with a foster kid and usually, a name still came up proving they were part of the system. They couldn't find Robin no matter how much they searched.
Looking at the screen now, the same message saying that they would continue to look into it when they had the time flashed back at him so there was nothing new to report yet. Nigel sighed and turned off his computer before leaning back in his chair. His suspicions had been raised even higher but Robin was acting like her friendly self again so he had to play along and pretend all was normal. He would just have to keep a close eye on her until the next course of action could be made.
A knock on his door made him nearly jump since he had been lost in thought and he turned to see Robin standing there with a backpack hanging off one of her shoulders.
"Your parents want us both down in the living room." She told him before disappearing back down the hall.
Nigel sighed and made sure he had everything in his school bag before heading downstairs to see what his parents wanted. He saw his mom smiling while taking pictures of Robin who stood a bit awkwardly by the fireplace.
"Oh, Nigel there you are! Go stand by Robin for a few photos!"
"What's with the pictures?" He questioned, throwing his bag on the chair and folding his arms. After Saturday's events, he wasn't sure he would ever care to have his photo taken again any time soon.
"It's my little cousin's first day of school! We want to be able to capture this moment just like we did with you when you first started Gallagher." Monty smiled, feeling proud that their new family member would be in good hands with his son showing her the ropes.
Nigel felt Robin grab his arm and pull him over to where she had been standing. "As embarrassing as this is, at least it's just in your house and they're not taking photos in front of the school where everyone can see us," Robin whispered to him
She had a point. Giving in, Nigel let Robin wrap her arm around him in a side hug deciding it was better to get this over with before his parents did get the idea to continue this at school.
Once they were finished, Nigel suggested that they get moving. They would be walking to school and they had to be in class before the final bell or else they would receive an F for the day from Mrs. Thompson. At least it wasn't detention but it was almost as bad.
Grabbing her backpack and lunch that Jen made for her later, Robin started for the door but was stopped when she felt a hand on her shoulder. She turned her head to see Monty smiling at her before he released her so she could head off with his son. That gesture was so simple but something about it was..comforting. Robin pushed away the feeling before telling Nigel she would race him to the next stop sign.

The scent of coffee was strong as Scar filled a third pot into a large mug. Cuppa Joe's serving always took more than the normal amount. Instead of having a bunch of normal-sized cups, he insisted on using the massive one he always carried. She didn't mind but it did take her longer to tend to other customers when she had to serve him.
"Sorry for the wait you guys. Do you know what you want to order?"
Mr. Boss, Crazy Cat Lady, Mr. Fibb and Mr. Wink, and Count Spankulot all sat on some sofas and chairs the cafe had. Scar was aware that they were holding a meeting since she had also received a text on the group chat they added her to. Most villains were included but these guys met up more often to discuss plans.
"Don't worry about it." Mr. Boss waved it off as no big deal before placing down everyone's orders.
"Isn't Knightbrace supposed to be here? Mr. Fibb questioned and Mr. Wink followed right after.
"He usually always attends these meetings, does he not?"
While Scar was writing everything down, a familiar scent hit her nose along with one she didn't recognize.
"He's heading down the street here now and he's not alone." She told them, getting a few strange looks.
"Have you spoken vith him recently?" The Count asked, adding a pastry he wanted to try along with the order.
"Uh, no I-"
Before Scar could explain, the dental-based villain walked in with a cheerful-looking man with his head covered in a roll of toilet paper following him inside.
"Hiya, guys!"
Small groans came from the group as they tried to suppress them the best they could.
"Aw, geez! It's the Toiletnator!" Mr. Boss sighed, moving over so Knightbrace could sit down.
"Thanks so much for the vacation guys! I needed some time to relax. I had a great time!"
In truth, they had only sent him away so he wouldn't interfere with their plans but of course, by the time they were able to meet up, he still found a way to show up to their meeting.
"Why did you bring him here?" Mr. Wink whispered to Knightbrace.
"I ran into him on my way here and he insisted on coming with me. There wasn't much I could do. Even if I did try sending him on a detour you know he would have shown up sooner or later."
The toilet-based villain didn't seem to hear them as he went to grab an extra chair so he could join them. Scar didn't understand why they were acting so ill towards the man. He seemed a little goofy compared to the others but that didn't necessarily mean it was a bad thing. Scar went to turn after asking Knightbrace what he wanted, only to bump into the new villain she had yet to meet, dropping her notepad in the process.
"Oh, sorry about that! Here, let me get that for you." He picked up the pad and went to hand it to her only to stop and blink seeing that this wasn't their usual server. Her red hair being a similar shade to the orange mug hat mask the cafe employee wore with his uniform kind of threw him off for a moment.
"Thank you." Scar offered him a smile. "Would you like some coffee too?"
Snapping out of it, the Toiltnator shook his head.
"Heavens no! Do you realize what that stuff does to your digestive system?" He raised a brow at her in question before giving a friendly smile in return. "I'll take a large glass of milk instead!"
Scar nodded, writing it down as she stepped away to fill their orders.
"When did she start working here?" The Toiletnator asked, sitting down with them.
"Sometime last week while you were gone." Cat Lady replied. "She also works for Father and those kids of his."
The Toiletnator gulped at the mention of the man on fire. He was lucky not to be involved with Father but it still sent shivers down his spine knowing what he was capable of. He didn't know if this woman was just as terrifying or not but he would still try and be nice.
"So what else has been going on while I was away?" He changed the subject away from the red-haired waitress for now. "Any plans to destroy those pesky Kids Next Door?"
He didn't remember seeing anything mentioned on the group chat about gathering today. Must have been another glitch if he missed it.
"That's why we're here." Mr. Fibb began.
"We're going to be discussing ideas and see which one would work out the best." Mr. Wink added.
The meeting was to plan things out but hopefully, by the time they were able to take action, they could send him on another goose chase that would keep him out of the way and hopefully work this time.
"Oh, fun! Can I go first!" He asked as he raised his hand as if waiting to be called on. "Please!"
Mr. Boss sighed and leaned back in his seat, taking out the cigar from his mouth for a moment.
"Alright, alright. Tell us what you got, Toiletnator."
The toilet villain grinned but then it began to falter when he realized he didn't think it through beforehand. He was just so excited to be included that he jumped right in. He had to give them something to work with though. This could be his moment to have them respect him a little more.
"We could- We could uh..Capture one of the operatives and use them for bait! Yeah!" His confidence was starting to come back. "We could lure them all into a trap by using one of their own against them. They won't be able to resist trying to save another kid so we'll have them right where we want them!" He finished with an evil laugh.
It wasn't some big plan but it wasn't a bad idea at all. They could include it in some way but the question was, who would they try and kidnap? Someone from Sector V perhaps?
"I can see if Robin would want to volunteer." Scar spoke as she came back over with a tray and began setting everyone's cups down. "If they jump at the chance to go after her it would prove that she's earned their trust."
"I still don't know about having that brat of yours be involved." Mr. Boss spoke.
Most of them were all aware by now that another child was also trying to take down Sector V. It was an unspoken rule that any child of a villain was off limits, but in this case, they would have to make it look real when she was attacked along with the other brats.
"Well, she's your best bet right now unless you want to chance it with an operative you know won't hesitate to try and kick your butts."
The Toiletnator looked between them in confusion as it was agreed that this Robin child would be their target. What kind of beef did she have with Sector V? Some kids didn't always see eye to eye with each other but usually there was some sort of reason for it. Before he could open his mouth to ask what they were talking about, Spankulot pulled out a flyer from inside his cloak pocket, seeming to have something in mind.
"There is a carnival coming up. I say ve stage an ambush during that time and take Robin in the middle of the chaos!"
It was brilliant! Having a bunch of kids gathered in one place, it wouldn't come as a surprise if they were to attack. They could sneak Robin away while they are busy fighting and put a few extra bratty kids in their place as a bonus.
"I like it." Mr. Boss nodded his head in approval. "Say Mr. Fibb and Mr. Wink, do you two think you could disguise one of your super chairs as one of the game booths?"
They couldn't make it too obvious that they were planning something right away. They wanted the kids to have their guard down while they enjoyed the carnival for a short time before they made their move.
"It shouldn't be a problem. Right, Mr. Wink?"
"Indeed Mr. Fibb. I think we can have everything ready by then."
It was decided that Mr. Fibb, Mr. Wink, and Crazy Cat Lady would be the main source of the attack. While they were distracting those pesky operatives the Count and Knightbrace would swoop in when the time was right and take Robin. Mr. Boss would be observing everything from a secret location and direct orders to them.
"What can I do?" The Toiletnator excitedly waited for Mr. Boss to give him a job as well.
"Uh, you can.." Mr. Boss trailed off. He had to give the guy something that would make sure that he wouldn't be in the way.
"Where do you plan to meet after you receive your target?" Scar jumped into the conversation.
She made herself comfortable and sat on the armrest of the chair Crazy Cat Lady was sitting on. One leg was crossed over the other and she stroked the cheek of one of the old woman's cats that moved closer to inspect her.
"There is this old warehouse that should be big enough," Knightbrace suggested. "We could make it seem like we are interrogating someone close to them for information and have a trap ready by the time reinforcements arrive."
"We can wait at the warehouse and make sure everything is ready." Scar motioned between her and the Toiletnator. "You'll need somebody on standby to help make sure things are running smoothly once you get there, right?"
Scar wasn't sure why but it seemed like they didn't want him involved. Had he messed up on one of their missions in the past? Whatever the reason, she wasn't going to shove him away before getting to know him first. She didn't mind partnering up with the Toiletnator for this little project.
"Sure, that works." Mr. Boss nodded, seeing that it made the Toiletnator satisfied. He wasn't sure if she could keep him from screwing things up or not but he was glad that was settled for now.
"You're coming too?" Knightbrace questioned.
"Of course, but if you don't mind I think I'll stick to behind the scenes." Scarlett knew that she would have to come face to face with Sector V sooner or later but in case Nigel recognized her as Patricia, she wouldn't make her debut just yet.
They spent a few more minutes discussing what could be done until the other cafe employee came over.
"Uh, Scarlett? It's great you're getting along with the customers but I could use your assistance over here."
"I'll be right there, Carl." Scar assured with a smile as she stood back up and smoothed out her apron. "It was nice talking with you guys. And it was nice meeting you, Toiletnator."
She gave him a friendly wink and chuckled lightly at his expression as she walked away.
───── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ─────
After introducing herself to the class, things went pretty normal for a typical school day during the first few hours. Robin had already received a homework assignment and Wally tried to see if she wanted to bust out with him after only ten minutes. She declined and promised to share her muffin with him if he could hold off until lunch.
This might have been the only time where she could be in a room with both Sector V and the Delightful Children and not have them try to destroy each other. It had been the only empty desk so when she passed by, she snuck a smile to the Delightfuls before sitting behind them.
Scar had informed her that the damages from the party had already been repaired to their mansion. It wasn't as bad as it seemed at the time but their neutral suggestion ray was total junk now. Robin would have gone back over to help clean up but she had to lay low and also send in her application to the Kids Next Door yesterday. She wasn't sure when she would hear back but she was told that it should be real soon.
When the bell rang for lunch, everyone nearly ran out the door to get to the cafeteria. Robin trusted Wally to take her lunch with him while she ran to the bathroom and said that she would meet them there. She had been on her way back when she began to hear a commotion down another hall. Moving closer she saw it was coming from the library. Weren't people supposed to be quiet in that place?
Standing on her tiptoes, Robin looked through the window, and to her surprise, she saw a small group of kids tied to a table while a man wearing a blue graduation cap and gown stood before them gripping a ruler and had a rolling chalkboard behind him. It looked like he had been the one yelling, not planning to release them anytime soon.
"But I'm hungry!" One kid whined, struggling with the binds but the attempt proved to be useless as he remained stuck in his seat.
"Silence!" The man yelled, throwing his hands in the air. "All of you had thought it was okay to talk and disrupt me during my lesson so now you must pay the consequences!"
"You're the worst substitute ever!" Another kid yelled back, glaring up at the adult.
"I won't be just a mere sub for long once the school board sees the amount of actual useful knowledge I can cram into those puny brains of yours instead of the cruddy lessons your teacher was giving you. Now, no more interruptions!"
These kids looked to be a few grades younger and this guy already expected them to be able to understand calculus. They weren't ready for that kind of stuff yet. Heck, even her grade still had a long way to go. The kids looked miserable as this substitute forced them to skip lunch so he could go over his lesson plan he didn't get to go over during class.
This was something that the Kids Next Door would work together to try and stop. Looking around, it seemed that they weren't aware of what was happening as the halls remained bare except for her. She could run and tell Sector V that there was a lunatic in the library but what would it say about her if she didn't try to stand up for these kids herself? If she was going to become an operative she had to take more risks now and knowing where she stood with Nigel and his friends; she didn't want to rely on them if she didn't have to. She was confident that she could deal with one adult and bust them out herself.
He would hear her if she went through the main doors so she snuck in through the computer lab that was connected to the library. Once she was in, she crouched down behind a small bookshelf as she inched her way closer.
"Now, who can tell me the answer to this problem here?" The man pointed to the board with his ruler as he turned to the students. "Danny?"
"I don't know!" The boy named Danny whined. "I want Mrs. Stevenson!"
"Your teacher was foolish to let herself get sick! I, the Terrible Tutor, never get sick so all the more reason they should hire me to take over! You should be grateful I am devoting my time! Finger painting will get you nowhere in life!"
The Terrible Tutor raised his ruler and went to slam it down on the table as a warning that they should take this more seriously and not waste his time by whining. It never came in contact, however, as his wrist was suddenly snatched mid-air causing his body to whip around to see who dared to intervene.
"Even so it's still a lot better than the crud you're trying to force on them." Robin had stepped in when she saw the terrified look on the child's face. The Terrible Tutor may not have gone to hit him but with the way his temper was raised, it could have resulted in that in his next tantrum.
"Ugh! Why does every kid think it's okay to interrupt my lesson plan?!" He yelled as he yanked his wrist free, losing his grip on the ruler.
"Maybe because it's a stupid plan! You do realize these are first-graders, right? They haven't even learned multiplication yet so how can you expect them to be able to understand something that's way too advanced?"
"The faster they learn now the better they will do in society as they get older! I am only trying to shape them for the better but do I get any thanks for all my hard work? No!"
"Sounds like you care more about your self-image than you do for these kids." Robin narrowed her eyes at this manchild as she picked up the ruler and pointed it at him in a threatening manner. "Now, let them go!"
The man began to chuckle causing her to take a cautious step back as she raised a brow.
"I have a better idea."
Lifting his arms straight out, they began to shake before textbooks came flying out of each of his sleeves, aiming straight for Robin. Thinking fast, Robin used the ruler sort of like a bat to hit them out of the way before they could come into contact with her. Using such a small weapon, it could only take so much so when he threw a rather large encyclopedia, the ruler snapped in half from the amount of weight and made her stumble.
"Damn," Robin muttered under her breath before she ducked down and did a somersault past a case of books. She had to move this fight away from the kids so they wouldn't get hit in the crossfire by accident.
The Terrible Tutor rose off his feet and flew around the corner where Robin had gone only to see that she wasn't there. Moving past the first case, he peered down each row trying to find some sort of evidence where she might be hiding. He noticed a book fall from one of the shelves and flew down that row to investigate.
"Now where did you go?" He questioned himself as he got there and saw that she was nowhere to be found.
"Right here!" Robin had jumped down from the case behind him and kicked him in his back, causing him to crash face-first into the shelves in front of him and fall forward. All the books fell off and landed on top of him, burying him underneath a huge pile.
Bouncing off of him when she kicked him, Robin used that moment to run back to the kids while he was distracted.
"You guys need to get out of here." She told them as she began to untie them.
"What about you?" One little girl looked up at Robin worriedly as she was freed.
"You don't need to worry about me," Robin assured her with a smile. "You better get to the cafeteria while it's still open. Can't have you go hungry on top of dealing with this crazy guy."
Robin had just finished untying the last kid when a book flew past her head and slammed against a nearby wall. She looked behind her to see the Terrible Tutor levitating above them with a lot of books surrounding him as he glared down at her.
"Go! Get out of here!" Robin warned the kids and shoved them forward to get them moving toward the door a little faster.
When more books began to fly down towards them, she kicked the leg of the table the kids had previously been sitting at and let it fall forward as it turned into a temporary shield. It allowed the first graders to run out of the library and gave Robin a brief moment to try and come up with some sort of strategy. If she ran out herself there was a chance he wouldn't continue his rant outside of the library where other teachers could see. But that would mean letting him go and capturing more kids when he had the chance. She would have to make sure he was fired from his substitute job and that there was no chance he would become a teacher here.
"First you interfere with my session! Then you dare kick me! And now you released my students when I haven't dismissed them! You leave me no choice but to use this!"
Having to know what he planned to do, Robin peeked her head up over the table as the wind began to pick up. From all the books that flew in a circular motion around him, pages were ripped out and folded together to form an origami creation that breathed to life. Robin looked up into the eyes of a paper dragon as it stared back at her.
"Maybe I should have called for backup." Robin thought as the dragon lunged right for her.
───── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ─────
"Shouldn't Robin have been here by now?" Wally asked as he eyed her muffin. He was going to wait until she got here but he found that he couldn't resist and broke off a piece before popping it into his mouth.
"Maybe she's not feeling well?" Hoagie suggested, taking a sip from his chocolate milk.
But still, lunch was almost over by now and there was no sign of their new friend anywhere. Abby thought maybe Robin was sick as well and said that Kuki and her could go look for her but all their attention had turned to a few first graders that passed by with lunch trays in their hands as they overheard their conversation.
"I hope she'll be okay." A little girl looked down at her sandwich with a worried expression. "She saved us but we left her to deal with that adult all by herself."
"I'm sure she'll be fine, Jessica." Danny tried to assure his friend but the tone in his voice wasn't fully confident either. "She's older and probably a little more experienced dealing with this stuff so she might have a better chance than we could've."
"Excuse me.." Feeling a tap on his shoulder, Danny looked up to see a boy with sunglasses along with a few other fourth graders seeming to want their attention. "By any chance, does the girl you're talking about have short brown hair and a slight British accent that comes and goes?"
"Yeah!" Jessica nodded her head frantically. "We don't know who she was but she freed us from the Terrible Tutor who held us captive in the library. We left her alone though once we were able to escape. I hope she's okay.."
Sector V looked at each other, silently questioning what kind of trouble Robin could have got herself into in a short amount of time. Jessica had her head down but looked back up when a dark-skinned girl placed a hand on her shoulder.
"Don't worry kid. We'll make sure that nothing bad happened to her but I think your friend here is right." Abby said as she looked at Danny. "Robin is a lot tougher than she looks."
Getting up from their lunch table, the five operatives moved out to see if Robin had been able to manage by herself for this long. The Terrible Tutor wasn't a huge threat compared to other villains but when his temper rose high enough it usually took at least one other operative to put him in his place. What had she been thinking, fighting an adult on her own? She knew that they would have backed her up in an instant if they were aware of the situation sooner.
"Are we sure that little girl said library? I've never heard of that place before. Sounds made up to me." Wally frowned as he took the last bite of the muffin.
Abby rolled her eyes, not too surprised that the blonde had never stepped foot into the library before. "Come on, Fool." She told him, grabbing his hood to pull him along.
───── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ─────
Sector V bust down the double doors to the library, ready to jump into action but stopped when they saw the battle had already come to an end. Water dripped down from the ceiling indicating that the sprinklers had been sent off which kind of explained all the soggy paper but it still left so many questions. They couldn't see the Terrible Tutor anywhere but Robin was in the middle of it all, throwing piles of wet paper into a garbage bin.
"Oh, hey guys!" She turned and waved as soon as she heard them come in. "Sorry, I didn't eat lunch with you. Kind of ended up in the middle of something."
Robin laughed lightly as they lowered their weapons and moved further into the room, being careful not to step on any of the mess.
"Uh, Robin?" Abby began as she observed more of the damage that had been made to the library. A table was flipped over, a some chairs seemed to have fallen, and not to mention all the books that didn't get wet were still scattered everywhere. "What did you get yourself into, girl?"
"Yeah, and where is the Terrible Tutor?" Nigel asked, still gripping his weapon in case the adult flew back in again. They left her alone for only half an hour at most and this happened.
"Well, to answer your question about Crazy, someone came and grabbed him already." She would get to that soon but she thought it would be better to start from the beginning. "What happened may or may not be a long story," Robin told them as she began continuing her work while she spoke. "It all started when.."
───── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ─────
Explaining how she had found these first graders and helped them out, Robin soon got to the part where the Terrible Tutor had created a dragon made entirely made from paper. It sounded cool but that thing was not fun to deal with.
When it had lunged at her, Robin had ducked back behind the table but that had been a mistake as the force of the impact caused the table to flip in the air and she had to move out of the way fast before it came crashing down on top of her. Loose papers fell off but immediately rose to fold back into place.
How was she supposed to stop this thing? She didn't have any 2x4 technology on her so she had to make do with what little her surroundings provided her. It didn't leave her with many options that could be useful.
"It's pointless!" The Terrible Tutor bellowed down at her, watching as the child continued to try and dodge attacks that came close to snatching her more than once. "You are just one child and can not stop my creation alone!"
The dragon seemed to be almost playing with her as it jumped in front of every corner she tried to turn around. It wasn't giving her much time to strategize but she had to think of something fast. What could defeat a being made entirely from paper? One of the first things that came to mind was fire but that wouldn't work in a public place. But still, there didn't have to be an actual fire to set the sprinklers off.
Robin noticed them on the ceiling before she had ducked down and wedged herself on the bottom of a book cart even if it wasn't the best hiding spot. If she could set them off somehow the dragon would be turned to mush in a matter of seconds. The question was, how was she going to get up there with this beast ready to pounce on her every time its sightless eyes landed on her?
Wait..taking a chance to poke her head back out, Robin could see the dragon in the distance. It may look like it had eyes but with the way its ears twitched listening for movement, Robin concluded that it couldn't see and had been relying on the noise she had been making with all her running around. Now that she knew it didn't have all of its senses, Robin decided to use that to her advantage and began forming a plan in her head.
"Hurry up and destroy the child!" The Terrible Tutor ordered the beast. "The librarian might be back soon and I don't want to be the one to have to clean up this mess!"
He had borrowed the space without asking, thinking it would have been a quiet enough place where no one would disturb him while he gave these students an extra lesson. How had he been so wrong?
He had failed to notice a book was being aimed right at him and when it hit the back of his head, he cried out and ran into a pilar, immediately reaching up to grab his nose. The noise sent the dragon on alert and it lunged at the Terrible Tutor instead, swiping its claws in the air. He barely had time to react and flew further up to avoid being cut.
"Watch it, you mongrel! You're supposed to be going after that girl not-" He turned where he last saw Robin and noticed her coming right for them now, riding on the cart, pushing with her foot to go faster.
She had used him to distract and confuse the dragon long enough for her to be able to form an attack of her own. Once she picked up enough speed, she jumped on the cart and held her arms out to balance herself just as the dragon flew right at her, head-on.
"Please don't fall," Robin told herself as she timed when the dragon got close enough and jumped off the cart, sending it crashing against a wall.
She landed on the back of the dragon's neck and grabbed onto a book spine that acted as one of its scales sticking out so she wouldn't be thrown off like some rag doll. They took a couple of laps around the room as the dragon flew around, trying to figure out how to get this kid off.
Getting a better grip, Robin pulled in the direction that she wanted to go and was slightly relieved that the dragon wasn't too hard to steer around as long as she gave enough force. She had to go up, however, so crawling forward just a little she reached for both of its whiskers and yanked back towards herself. The paper was so tightly wrapped together that she didn't even make a tear but she thought something would have popped loose. What kind of magic did he use on this thing?
The Terrible Tutor stayed levitating from a safe distance wondering what this child was up to. If anything she would only provoke the dragon further the longer she continued to stay on. Watching as she forced it to fly upward, his eyes widened seeing what they were aiming for.
"No, don't do that! My creation will be ruined!"
The Terrible Tutor had caught on to what Robin was planning to do a little too late as she led the dragon right into the sprinkler. The force was enough for it to burst and send water pouring out right onto the beast as it was pushed back toward the ground from the pressure. Robin had been thrown off but pushing her body back up, she grabbed onto a beam, letting her body dangle as water sprayed all around; the first sprinkler setting off a chain reaction to all the others.
Trying to keep a hold of the edge, she glanced down below as the dragon let out a roar. It had been trying to get back up but as Robin predicted, it wasn't a match against water and was becoming a puddle of soggy pages. She watched as the Terrible Tutor rushed right over and tried to bring the beast back to life but it was pointless now as the dragon was no more.
Now that she didn't have to deal with that anymore and could take a little breather, Robin had gone to lift herself fully onto the beam so she could reposition herself to get down but as the water continued to spray out, it had become too slippery to hold on and her breath caught in her throat as she lost her grip. She felt almost weightless for a moment before the reality of gravity kicked in and she felt herself falling. Her eyes desperately tried to scan for somewhere she could land without losing her footing but as she was about halfway down, she felt a pair of arms wrap around her back and the back of her legs as they caught her mid-fall and got Robin back to the ground safely.
They had grabbed her from behind so Robin didn't see who it was at first. She knew it couldn't have been the Terrible Tutor since she could still hear him crying out for his power to work once more. Needing to catch her breath from the adrenaline starting to wear away, she held onto the person's shoulder to steady herself before looking up to see a taller male with blonde hair swept to the side.
"You alright there, kid? It was impressive how you took that thing down." He said as he helped her back to her feet. "The paper dragon is a new move that the Terrible Tutor recently conjured up so we haven't built the right technology to take it down yet but you seemed to have done great all on your own."
He smiled down at her as she stared at him. Who was this guy?
"Kids Next Door operative I assume?" She asked.
"The one and only Numbuh 274." He stood proudly.
"I don't care what Number you are from your stupid organization." The Terrible Tutor stepped away from the mess holding his arms out threateningly. "That brat is going to pay for ruining all that I have tried to accomplish!"
Before he had a chance to shoot more books in her direction, Robin watched as Numbuh 274 ran forward and Roundhouse kicked him, using his combat skills to fight him. If you could even call it a fight. Numbuh 274 took him down in record time and before she knew it, the man had fallen to the floor with a thud having been knocked out. Where was this boy before all the chaos started?
"He won't be bothering anyone else for a while." Numbuh 274 told her as he flung the upper half of the Terrible Tutor's body over his shoulder, intending to drag him away. "Now that he is detained I will personally make sure he is locked up for some time."
"The Kids Next Door Prison? The one that's located somewhere in the Arctic?"
"That's right." He nodded. "We have the best max security so this guy won't be getting out anytime soon."
Robin's heart fell when he said this. If their security was as top-notch as he claimed, was there any hope of getting her father out of that place? She knew that he could handle himself but she felt a pang in her chest as she thought about how much she was missing him. It soon turned to anger as she thought about all of this being Sector V's fault. Her father might not be there if it weren't for them.
"We should get going." Numbuh 274 suggested as he checked the time that was remaining.
He didn't seem to pick up on her change of mood. That or he knew better than to question her on it. Now that everything was done and over with, Robin was able to look around the room and saw just how much damage they had caused. She started to feel a little guilty for ruining a large portion of the Library.
"You go on ahead." She told him. "I'm going to stick around and clean up a bit."
He seemed a little confused that she would even bother but shrugged.
"Suit yourself." He started to drag the Terrible Tutor away but stopped when he neared the exit and turned back to her. "Hey, I never got your name, new kid."
Robin had grabbed the waste paper bin figuring she would try and throw away all that she could before the Librarian did return. The poor woman probably had no idea what had gone down here while she was absent. She might not have approved of what the Terrible Tutor was doing either but it had been Robin's fault the whole place ended up looking like giant spitballs had been shot all over the place. She couldn't fix everything but she felt that she should take responsibility to pick up what she was able to before class started up again.
She paused for a moment to look back up in his direction and gave a smile for a proper greeting.
"Name's Robin Hughes."
───── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ─────
"Then he took the Terrible Tutor away and I've been here since." Robin finished explaining.
She had been picking up the whole time as she told them everything. It certainly explained all the paper cuts on her legs and one on her right cheek. Abby started to help, figuring that if Robin insisted on doing this, she didn't have to do it alone. The others stood or sat around while she told them the story. They seemed surprised when she mentioned who had helped her out.
"Numbuh 274 was here? I thought for sure he would have been on the moon base today." Hoagie exclaimed.
"What's the big deal?" Robin wondered. "Is he someone important to the Kids Next Door?"
"You've never seen our supreme leader's face before." Nigel had his arms crossed and leaned against the chair Wally sat in. "So yeah, you could say that he is a pretty big deal."
That was the supreme leader?! She began questioning herself about what kind of impression she had made. He said that he had been impressed with the way she took down that paper dragon on her own but she knew she had been sloppy and was just lucky that it worked out the way she wanted it to. Still, maybe she should be glad that she got the meet and greet with him over with.
"Are we gonna go outside and play soon?" Kuki almost whined itching to play for at least a few minutes before she had to be trapped in a classroom again for a few more hours.
She sprawled across the table that had been turned right back up, letting her head hang upside down over the edge as she fiddled with something in her hands.
"What are you playing with?" Wally questioned, looking to his left at the raven-haired girl who hummed to herself and held what looked to be an envelope before turning her head when she heard him.
"Hm? Oh!" She flipped back up so she was sitting up straight and let her legs dangle over the edge this time. "I found this when we first came in but wanted to hear Robin's story first before giving it to her. I think it might be a love letter." She giggled.
Kuki held up an envelope and on the front was Robin's name printed with a red marker.
"I don't think that's it, Kuki," Robin told her as she walked over and took the letter from her, tearing it open to cure her curiosity about what it could be.
Her eyes silently scanned the page as the others waited for her to say something. Suddenly she grinned and turned towards Nigel.
"You and your team don't have any plans for after school tomorrow, do you?"
"Unless a mission comes up before then." Nigel shrugged. "Otherwise not much is going on, why?"
"Cause I'll need a ride to the Arctic where I can start my first day of training!"
She flipped the paper over and held it out to them while her other hand rested on her hip; a proud look on her face. It was from Numbuh 274 saying that she had been accepted as a new cadet and could start training with Numbuh 60 after school tomorrow. She wasn't sure when he had time to leave the letter but it looked like she made a better impression than she thought if he considered she was good enough to become an operative.
This meant that she could gain access to the same place where her father was being held. Guess joining the Kids Next Door was a good idea after all. She'll need to figure out a way in but she'd plan that out with Scar later.
"That's great, Robin!" Hoagie congratulated.
"Aw, yeah! You'll be one of us soon!" Wally cheered, jumping off his chair to give her a high five.
While Wally, Hoagie, and Kuki excitedly began explaining all the fun things Robin will get to do during her time at the Arctic base, Abby walked over to stand next to Nigel after throwing the last garbage bag with the rest of the pile they cleaned up. She could tell something was off with her leader and questioned him about it.
"I thought you would seem happier for Robin." She raised a brow at him as she heard him sigh.
"It's not that I'm not happy we'll be getting a new operative." Nigel kept his voice low so the others wouldn't hear their conversation. "But- I don't know.. Am I wrong to still think that something is off about her? I just don't think that Robin is being completely honest with us."
Normally Abby might have called him crazy and tried to get him to see the logical side of things but she could tell how lost he was about all of this and wanted a genuine answer. His life had been changed ever since he had to share it with a stranger and even Abby knew how confusing that must be. She already had two siblings but if someone suddenly showed up to live with her family, she wasn't sure how she would have adjusted to the change herself.
"Your instincts might not always be right." She began as she watched the other four begin to jump around in the puddles of water and splash each other; having a bit of fun. "But it's not often that they last this long. I don't see it but if you feel so strongly about this, I guess Numbuh 5 could help you find more information on her."
Nigel smiled at her in thanks for trying to understand how he felt. He promised that if they could find proof that Robin was really who she said she was, he would drop the whole thing and let her in. Who knows? Maybe they could become best friends but he needed to be sure he wasn't going crazy first.
Tomorrow after dropping Robin off, they would go down to the social security office personally and clear things up once and for all.

To be clear:
Tainá notices (or someone shows her) nasty comments about her daughter under materials published by Karoline.
Irritated Tainá "asks" Karoline not to publish photos/videos of her daughter because her fans insult little girl. This is not the first time that Karol doesn't react when her fans attack Helena (situation a year ago).
Whole thing was supposed to stay "behind closed doors", but "suddenly" it appears in the Brazilian media. Interesting, right? :) "GOSSIP DIA" before publishing the gossip 'asks' Karoline if it's true, and she of course confirms it. The information appears on the internet.
No one asks Tainá for her opinion (she has already been judged and called a hypocrite), so she decides to explain what she actually asked for : stop posting unnecessary stories that caused people to attack Helena.
Karoline "answers" to Tainá, distances herself from the real issue (insulting Helena by her fans) and puts herself in the role of the victim by sharing the recording (what a surprise). It seemed as if she wasn't listening to what Tainá said at all, because she was talking about things unrelated to the case. She even threatened to take the case to court O.o
Tainá "closed it" by posting the quote : "Accept that I'm the villain of this story. Maybe this person should just continue telling story of victimhood and overcoming hardship."
Karoline had to have the last word and started mocking Tainá : "Hide the mouse traps because the big mouse is coming" a reference to Taina's words about the rat. To be continued for sure. First of all there is only one victim here …. little Helena! A sweet little girl who didn't deserve such treatment from toxic people who are fans of her stepmother. Adult people! It pisses me off that practically no one is talking about it now, and that's the real problem with this case! That's why I'm disappointed in Karoline because instead of standing up for Helena because, for God's sake, these comments come from materials she published (!!!), she's using Tainá's fury (any mother would behave the same emotionally) to be the center of attention again. When people criticize her for being a bad mother, she can cry through a few stories, but when her own fans attack the daughter of "love of her life" she remains silent O.o I don't understand this because to me saying "Cecilia is also criticized" (show us) or "she doesn't hold Tainá responsible for the criticism that affects Cecilia" is changing the subject and making Helena's case unimportant. She had so many opportunities to say "people, stop it! She's just a kid, like my Ceci!", and yet she prefers to laugh in the end. The second one of you is absolutely right! Tainá NOW asked not to publish the children's image, she didn't mind before, but she has a reason for it! I believe any mother would be furious to see something like that about her child. It's just a shame that others use it to remind people about themselves.

A Very UnBirthday - Struck by Love Legacy Challenge - Episode 10
Maeve and Star threw a birthday party for Naomi turning into a teenager! They threw it at the local park that they have all come to love! Maeve invited Akira, Grace, and their child since they are still related to Naomi. They haven't heard from Akira in years yet Maeve was still hopeful that he would show up for his daughter turning into a teenager.
Star forgot something and had to go back to the apartment. On her way back she ran into Grace at the park entrance.
Tumblr media
Grace looking up and down at Star: So, you're the new, young partner!
Star confused: Huh? What's that supposed to mean?
Grace: My bad, I'm Grace. Akira's fiancé. I just thought you looked like Maeve's new partner, maybe I'm wrong.
Star starting to realize who she was and decided to play dumb, even though she knew the whole history: Oh, I haven't heard of you! I'm Star Pina!
Tumblr media
Grace rolls her eyes: Like you don't know who I am. I'm sure Maeve has told you everything, aren't you like together together?
Star still playing dumb: Yeah, We are. But you never came up! I'm sure you're great though.
Star attempts to not laugh as she says the last part.
Grace crosses her arms: Okay, keep lying, whatever. I'm just glad that Maeve moved on and stopped harassing my fiancé to come see her kids. He doesn't want them. He wants my kids.
Star notices that Grace is pregnant: Oh, Congrats on the pregnancy! It was super nice meeting you, Gabrielle! Good luck!
Star all but runs away from Grace not wanting to be in that conversation anymore. Star wasn't going to ruin this for Naomi. She was just gonna tell Maeve that Grace is here and maybe Akira? Star didn't know if it was both of them or just Grace, but she was still going to tell Maeve.
Tumblr media
Over by the picnic area, all the party guests surrounded Naomi as she was standing by her cake! They sang the Happy Birthday song to her before she below her candles out.
Maeve: Blow out the candles sweetie! Make a wish!
Star: Woo! Yeah! Happy Birthday!
Naomi closes her eyes and makes a wish. She promised that she wouldn't tell anyone what her wish was so that it would come true, or at least that's what the kids at school said!
Tumblr media
[Naomi as a teen]
The party continued on with people talking, skating on the skating ring, and eating cake! Naomi got herself a piece of cake and sat down next to Grace.
Tumblr media
Grace: Happy Birthday Naomi! You've turned into a beautiful young lady!
Naomi: Thanks Grace, I'm glad you're here. You've always come to my birthday parties.
Grace: I was worried your mom wouldn't invite me, truthfully. And you know, your father loves you, he's just so busy.
Naomi: I haven't seen my dad in years, do you keep in touch with him?
Grace surprised that Naomi didn't know that they were together, or possibly didn't know they had a child, that she had a step-sister: Your father and I are together. You have a step-sister the same age as Kaito.
Naomi shocked and suddenly looks over to her mom, how could she not tell Naomi about her father and his new relationship. Naomi thought that it would be important to know that your dad has a new family. Why hasn't he been by to see me? Naomi went through so many emotions sitting there next to Grace: I didn't know....
Grace: Well, I figured your mother would be bitter so she would've told you. I can't help it that he didn't love your mother, and truly loved me. He tried to stay with that horrible woman for the sake of you kids but she made things worse for him and was so hateful and mean towards him. He had to come to my loving arms and seek healing and be heathy for you kids.
This information only furthered confused Naomi, she hadn't seem him in years and if that was the case, wouldn't he have tried to see them?
Naomi: Why haven't we seen him then?
Grace: That wicked woman! Your mother keeps you kids away from him, away from us because she's jealous of the love that Akira and I share.
Naomi looks over to her mother and Star having a conversation: I didn't think that was possible. She has Star, and Star moved in. She's moved on from dad. Mom always says that dad is too busy to come see us, not that she was keeping us from him.
Grace: Why would she tell you that she was keeping you from him? That wouldn't make her a victim, but the real victim is your father!
Naomi: Thanks for telling me Grace, can I come by and meet my sibling?
Grace: Yes of course honey. And we're expecting another bundle of joy, a baby brother for you and Kaito and Phoebe.
Naomi: Sounds great, I'll be in contact with you. Here's my phone number.
Naomi and Grace share numbers and promise to meet up soon.
Naomi leaves the conversation a little lost and confused. She didn't think that her mom would do that to her. It seemed like her dad didn't care for her or Kaito. If what Grace said was true, surely there would be evidence on her mom's phone. Or she could talk to her.... No, Naomi decided her mom wouldn't tell her the truth. She had to find out for herself.
Tumblr media
Akira and Grace leaving the birthday party early.
Akira visibly annoyed: Why did we even come?
Grace: Did you not want to rub it in Maeve's face that you moved on to me and we are happy?
Akira: We can do that in the home that she no longer habitats. We can post photos on Social Bunny and she can be jealous online. This just confuses the kids.
Grace: Did you ever talk to your kids?
Akira unbothered: No, they don't need me, they have Maeve.
Grace: Is that how you feel about our kids? That they don't need you? We have another one on the way Akira.
Akira: You're the one that wanted them. Not my fault you don't know how to use birth control..
Grace angry: Okay, Akira, blame me for the life you have now. It's not my fault you don't know how to use protection or pull out.
Akira: I'm leaving, are you coming with or you finding your own way home?

My thoughts as I’m watching 24 seasons of law & order svu:
Season 11
Protective Elliot in 11x01, and Benson having none of it.
11x02, Benson and Stabler enjoyed looking for the Master Baiter way too much. Stablers look of shock when his date referred to him as daddy. I’m enjoying the Stabler/Paxton interactions. The daughter is a psycho, just saying.
11x03, Stabler totally pushing the dirty work on Munch and Fin. One thing I like about Stabler, he realizes when he did something wrong and apologizes. And he gets injured again. Paxton threatening Benson not to hurt the man who injured Stabler. I really did not need the cockroach scene. But it must have been fun to act the solitary confinement scene.
11x04, still enjoying the Stabler/Paxton hate. That simulated video doesn't seem ethical (I mean, the one with his face photoshopped on it). Ouch, Cragen bringing up Benson's mother alcoholism. I kind of thought that she would show the wrong video at the hearing. Oh, I want to know what that look meant between Benson and Stabler when Paxton started to get handsy with Stabler. Drunk Paxton at the court is just sad. Scott Foley is just a good actor (even though nobody cares Sean, nobody cares). Stabler came very close to swearing there.
11x05 Stabler is getting hurt again. Cabot is back again. ADA Elliot, is a fun thought, he didn't even blink. Stabler is really good with the kids. That child is gonna be scarred for life.
11x06, Porter is back. Stabler ruining all of Porter’s flirting attempts, shit eating grin and all. Stabler still can’t take a shot when Olivia is in danger. Morales knows what’s up, as soon as Porter appears, he closed everything.
11x07, dude straight up just winked at Benson and Stabler when they introduced themselves. Huang always feels personally insulted when a psychiatrist is involved.
11x08, totally on Richard's side, wouldn't want to be called Dickie either. Not sure Benson is any better than Stabler to interview these people. Anger issues seem to run in the Stabler family. That interrogation must have been awkward. Dickie really isn't pulling any punches this episode. The discussion at Elliot's desk actually makes sense, I do wonder what event Dickie referenced, when he accused Elliot of losing his mind. Benson and Stabler really hell-bent on proofing Paxton’s statement right. Wonder if Cragen really would get dropped if there’s another problem. Ah, the stomach compressions again. I mean, I get it, can’t really do chest compressions on an actress, because it could get awkward. And I said this before, but I really appreciate, that Stabler realizes when he made a mistake and tries to make it right.
11x09, Stabler taking care of Benson is really sweet, and I want her wearable blanket. Munch is that annoying friend who points out grammatical errors. Stabler attempting to kick in the door is kinda funny. Tucker will be back, won’t he? Munch trying to make Olivia feel better by telling her how horrible she looks. And here comes Tucker, don’t think this episode is going to make me like him more. Stabler is not happy with him either. Benson seeing right through Tucker when he tells her Stabler revealed information to him. Just an observation, Benson’s necklace is tighter during her interrogation than it usually is. Stabler really out there mortgaging his house for her. And I’m very sure he did not tell Kathy about it. Of course, Stabler is checking in on Benson. I did not know that you could fabricate DNA, though nothing about that can be found since 2009. Poor Callahan. I really would have liked it, if Harrison had actually been someone from a past season.
11x10, Fin is not wrong, when he tells Cragen that Benson and Stabler get to bend the rules. Munch again on the grammar control. Cabot really going after the dude in court. Well, that was a surprise ending.
11x11, that opening is just harrowing. But the grandpa is a really good guy.
11x12, Benson and Stabler being referred to as Cragen's pet detectives seems right. Stabler isn't handling it well, when Benson works with someone else. That shooting was so fake. But at least the heiress was convinced. Yep, Elliot does not like having Ash around. I commented on Beck’s good french, so i gotta comment on the heiress’s bad French.
11x13, Stabler gets injured, again. At least Benson looks after him. Babs saying Stabler has the hots for Benson, and her response being that’s never gonna happen, is really not addressing Babs accusation. The editing after the non-kiss is really weird. Probably because there actually was a kiss. Love that Benson tells the next cop to stay outside the apartment. So, does Stabler actually get a gay vibe from Benson? Stabler caught on to her interrogation tactic really quick! Benson is enjoying the Babs-Stabler kiss way too much.
11x14, that prayer scene is just really weird.
11x16, okay, so the cops irritation of the victim is very understandable. Olivia does not react well to Cragen telling her to do some sweet talk. I really liked Cabot in this episode. Nardeli's story was just sad. I felt Cabot's second exit was actually well set up and executed.
11x17, the scene where Elliot gives Olivia the car (?) keys is very domestic.
11x18, Benson undercover, that guy is a creep!!! Benson agrees. Stabler is enjoying those mattress ads a bit too much. The suspect, assuming Stabler was there for sex and immediately jumping to a threesome when Benson showed up, might be my new favorite suspect. Never heard AF be referred to as "my friend", neither did Stabler, apparently. Suspect might be my fave, but girl is weird, especially keeping the sheets with menstrual blood for 35 years. I assumed the mattress guy wasn't dead when the detective didn't let them into her apartment, still appreciated the twists though.
11x20 has Liv undercover and Elliot saving her, 11x22 has Benson and Stabler undercover as a married couple.
11x23 I enjoy Elliots bad jokes. Does Marlowe walk around with a huge stain on her blouse, or is that a pattern? I honestly can’t tell… I really don’t know why, but the son's confession was a real déjà vu, I thought I heard that word for word in an earlier episode. Might be because I’ve been binging this series for 2 months now.
11x24, Surprisingly, when Benson was out cold, Stabler actually took care of the suspect first. Kinda sad that we didn't get to see him checking on her. Not a fan of Warner. Getting shot, but her saying to get the sterile gaze and then immediately putting it on the ground if funny to me.
The first half of the season was really good, second half had it's moments.
Familiar faces: Wentworth Miller (Prison Break), Christine Lahti (Studio 60), Eric McCormack (Will&Grace), Scott Foley (Scrubs), Chris Chalk (The Newsroom), John Larroquette (House), Bruce McGill (NCIS), Thomas Sadoski (The Newsroom), Sarah Paulson (Studio 60), Nathan Lee Graham (Sweet Home Alabama), Naveen Andrews (Bride & Prejudice), Dennis Boutsikaris (House), Kathy Griffin, Richard Burgi (Desperate Housewives), Eric Lange (Fringe), Quinton Aaron (Blind Side), Renée Taylor (The Nanny), Morgan Fairchild (Friends), David Paymer (Ocean‘s Thirteen), Raphael Sbarge (OUAT) and D.W. Moffett (Switched at Birth).
Favorite Episodes: 11x03, 11x06, 11x08, 11x09 and 11x13
Favorite lines:
"I have great bedside manner." - Stabler 11x03 (not sure if he does)
"Without gallows humor, to cope with what we see every day, I’d go stark raving mad." "What do you mean go?" - Munch and Fin 11x04
"Ever sleep with your partner, Detective?" - Dickie 11x08
"They’re (Benson & Stabler) good cops. But their loyalty is to each other, not to you." - Paxton to Cabot 11x08, truer words have never been spoken.
"It’s all fun and games until someone loses a penis." - Cragen 11x09
"Are you interrogating me for murder, or are you signing me up for a dating service?" -Benson to Tucker 11x09
(Talking about the handcuffs) "I’m sorry they’re not diamond encrusted, but the Bedazzler, it went AWOL." - Stabler to an heiress 11x12
(Holding up her bulletproof vest) "Your dry cleaner have anger issues?" - Stabler to Benson 11x12
"Your attacker, was he black, white, Hispanic?" "I don’t know, I don’t know. I didn‘t ask." - Benson and a victim 11x16

[Let us see what the mind can conceive this rainy Nashville eve for those masters of madness that keep us awake during the quiet hours of sleep. Certainly Job has a a story three or four with truths hidden close to keep something fresh on this media of the mundane.]
It was in those early high school years the Job had worked to get his first steed. A quarter horse dressed in gold took him on adventures at his pleasure. And on those long rides under the day and night skies he's find himself in conversation with storytellers he'd meet along the way. As his days were still young he listened close to their tales of spirit enraptured by the care and caution they put into their creative lessons left for all of us. He found himself at times dining with a feast of friends of the highest kind. The threw words and concepts of higher thought into the mix that confuses most, listening and absorbing the words and the stories they spun with a mystical approach focused close to glean what he could from those teachers of love, pain, ourselves and truth.
Marking words in his mind to look them up when he could in hopes of better understanding of what they were trying to tell him. Through those practices of puzzle progression he was exposed to greater men and women of thought, ideas and concepts that transform not just the command of words one could use, but also brought with them a magic to transcend the soul. At times replaying the stories in his mind with new understanding that gave these lessons new meanings and new understandings then those that were introduced when initially spoken to him.
While the concepts of words on the pages he read melded with the medley the poets would sing. A world of possibilities opened up to him, all fostered from a young age in large part because of the care and love the hand of his mother had shown him through all those times she forced him to "tell her what it means" when he didn't understand something he'd read or seen. The discussion she'd pull him aside and offer in private, ones he didn't like but always made him think. Little lessons that often seemed to leave out the other ear, but were stuck deeper than known. That's another benefit of mom's not being able to catch cooties, if you listen and think through the touch of a mother's love, even in your anger you find, some sooner, some later, in life that they are probably one of the wisest people that will ever guide your path.
And during these short years of a boys life, adventuring and living were the focus of Job's life. He was determined to find the answers that kept him in wonder from the time of a child. The times he was younger and had trouble sitting still and it was demanded of him at the cost of physical punishment (not abuse, punishment), like when his mom had pulled out the Family Bible with pages gilded with gold; taken from a box it seemed to command reverence. And while everyone gathered around the table with excitement and surprise, he struggled to understand if it was a book, why was kept in secret instead of out so everyone could read it? After mom had thumbed through to find the photos and baby information she had been looking for, she offered those things to the other kids as they ran off to play. In the safety of the silence he opened his mouth and asked her "what makes this book more important than the rest?". And she smiled and said, "well, it contains everything man knows about life, from the beginning until now".
Flabbergasted by this answer for a boy of not much more than eight or seven he just knew it should have been bigger if that were true. But, when he mentioned it to her, she just laughed and said, "yep, you'd think it would, but it doesn't need to be". Fumbling through the pages and not a child to shy from a challenge Job stopped on a few pages in the book and tried to read them with all the words and skills he'd learned in school, and although it made no sense what he said, he read the few passages pretty good for a kid he thought. But, King James spoke a different language in the 1500's and a lot of the words he used sounded funny and it was clear they talked funny back then, not like the smart kids of today do. And with a smile, mom decided it was time to put the book back, but not before the mystical burning of the spirits of the past placed in his heart. Like his mom told him when he couldn't understand them or other things she would just say "when you are older you will (happy Mother's Day ALL). A statement that he always hated, after all he was already ten how much older did one need to be, as school had taught him the things of this world.
Like most kids in public school today Job got most of his education of the world outside the walls of the safety of home. As with the parents of today, who can't talk to their kids admonishing their thoughts or ridiculing their beliefs guiding their principles, after all kids are seen more as the chance to make a "better them" then become unique adults of their own (another gift of the Jews, given to parents before even the Bible was writ).
And kids find UN-fun nature all too boring of their responsible responses, so at some both sides decide it's best not to talk of private matters. Even more true is this should you have brothers and sisters, aside from not hearing what you want from your parents, it is certain you will have to listen to the ridicule of them, who will certainly call on the fleetest of footed servants of Zeus, we call Rumor today. Carrying these things to extended family and friends and eventually back to school.
Respect for people long having left the lessons of home, no matter how hard mom may have tried., Rumor has left the fund of her damage as something more fun to play then wisdom and truth could bring with them. So most the world is taught on the playground or with friends at sleep overs and such reinforcing to kids when they hear some of the things that are heard; certainly parents don't know anything about life, because they never did or talked about that. The televisions shows and movies only confirming that the kids at school or more right then their parents about life.
But, while everyone kept pointing back and forth at whose fault is whose Job learned young that sometimes its better to sit above the chaos than make yourself a part of it, the storytellers he'd meet offered that, to some extent even giving more pieces of the puzzles he needed in figuring out the bigger pictures of life that still plagued him as a child - like looking up at the cross and seeing an innocent man hang when his eyes were supposed to be hung in prayer, wondering if this is really what Jesus wants from us?
With all these personal issues to resolve it's easy to understand why during those graduation days as all his friends he say go off to college or move on to the bigger things they had been waiting for the exciting day when Seniors unofficially officially become adults. Sur, those around him pushed and encouraged, even making some attempts, but all that time in school, when the results came back his marks confirmed what everyone did expect, his slowness and lack of intelligence was confirmed, he'd be luck to pick up trash. And soon the universities around him sent letters declaring the same seats needed to be saved for those blessed to succeed, he should find something else they said. Tucking them under his bed he just kept on adventuring and exploring the things around him.
And some months after graduation when the fight and fuss of futures died down, Job took a trip in the middle of the day, one he'd never come back from. An exploration that would take him around the world, introduce him to people and places filled with members of the other twelve tribe that those two at the begging of time grew to become. He saw things some should never have to, things that some should never miss, experienced feelings that most will never comprehend, and feelings that everyone should, always remembering it to be just a sampling of what others had been through. Time and travels increasing the voices etched on that tape recorder of life were all born with, only the needle on his seemed to play a direct line to the heart; expressions men and women learn how not to feel.
[And so I believe we shall leave Job with this long winded post tonight, traveling down the road of life. Gathering more pieces to the puzzle of life. Only beginning the solo journey of just how alone everyone is and discovering how much more pain there is in truth than in lies. All the while his heart going filling more and more with love, pushing out the pride of youth that makes us invincible when where young]

Child!reader being adopted by spy x family characters Pt. 2
As I said in the previous part, these adoption headcanons are really specific, including your hypothetical pronouns and name; these two are extra so you can imagine yourself with your name and desired gender. You can ask for less specific headcanons if you want too. Part 1 here
Enjoy!
Sylvia Sherwood
Tumblr media
How you met
She carries the responsibility of WISE, she needs to be committed to it. More than ever now that the peace was threatened every day by those who wanted war to arise again
She missed her family, but she overcame it. Just like the HQ she had to be impenetrable
At least, that's what she thought
Because right in front of her there was the question which answers she wanted to hear. A kid.
It would be normal to see one if she wasn't at the HQ
It didn't help no one knew there was a kid there until you spoke up
The camera system didn't record you and there wasn't any entrance to the agency that had been forced. You weren't any employee's kid either
After scolding them and order to search your parents she met you again
"Hello little one. May I ask you how did you get in here?"
You smiled, seeming to have been waiting her to ask
"Because I like to play and explore! And I'm really good at hide and seek"
Sylvia raised an eyebrow. No matter how well someone was good at hiding there was no way you could break into the HQ; it sounded surrealistic
"But how did you find this place?"
"Because it was easy to find"
"Don't you think you could end bad breaking into unknown places?"
"If I don't know what isthis place how I'd know that?"
Fair enough
That conversation wasn't going anywhere, yet she was angrier with the security staff than you. You didn't look worried though
You gave her an idea
"Do you want to play with me?"
Both entered in the nearest police station, she talked with the officers before telling you to count until 1000 while she was going to hide. You started the count facing a wall
She felt bad, but there were some traffickers she had to catch before they made the exchange
She was following their car; everything fine until she believed to see a small hand greeting her from the car's trunk
She returned to the police station to find out that moments later of her departure you disappeared without anyone realizing. She went to the point where the delivery would be made
Outside the abandoned warehouse there was no signal that you were there until she saw you getting out from under the car on the other side
Something caused a shooting that would make the police come and caught her at any moment. The bands kept shooting at each other while you were behind a transport container
"What were you thinking?! I told you to stay with the police!"
"I'm sorry, I counted until I know, then I saw you following the car, so I followed too. But before they caught me I hid in there...I'm sorry..." You pulled out a walkie-talkie
"I got two from the police station. I left one in there so the others thought the guys of that car were betraying them, it should have worked to scape with no bad guys seeing us"
She was impressed. However, there was no time to ask where you learn that from
Analyzing the situation the principal scape was blocked, fortunately they hadn't noticed you yet so–
You pulled her shirt, pointing somewhere else
"Let's get out"
General headcanons
Sylvia was still surprised that your plan of exiting through a rear window she hadn't seen and walk away without hurry could work
She stopped walking to watch you smash the walkie-talkie and take out some matches to burn it
"Now they can't find footprints!"
The police may not get answers about it but she had many questions for you
She lied to you about the HQ, after the shooting her lie was on the floor. Thenceforth Sylvia's not able to tell if you were playing along and keeping her secret or you have no idea what's all about
You thought her name was Handler. When you knew she was called Sylvia Sherwood you pointed your hoody logo and say "S of Super, you're superman–Superwoman!"
That's how she begun to be mistaken with an endearing mother and her son. She was superwoman and you "kid", because you said that's how you were called, along with child, shrimp, demon...
"That's unacceptable". She handed you lists of names to choose, unfortunately no one convinced you
It wasn't until you two went to a jewelry store that you found the name
The casual way you break in HQ when you want still frustrates her, how do you do it?? You don't see big deal though
Fullmetal lady didn't remember how tough was motherhood
Anyone would freak out if they found out about spies. Yet there you are, admiring flying guys in underpants
Sylvia asked you about your family, but you always tell the same: you lived with dad until he left you with a woman that he said was your mom
The Handler found out your father is a repeat offender, currently on a maximum security prison in another country. Both him and the woman without offspring legally
"Please, don't tell me one of his criminal records is jailbreaking"
The informant doubted "Actually, that's the main one"

The Forgers
Tumblr media
Scenario where it's up to both of them to adopt you. To keep Loid's mental sanity safe it will be independent of the timeline where Yor has a kid on her own, feel free to imagine both kids being Anya's siblings at the same time. You can ask me to include that idea if I write more about this
How you met
As I said before Twilight wouldn't adopt anyone due his job, only one kid for Operation Strix and that was Anya. For now Yor didn't want more kids, she loves Anya and that's enough for them
Not for Anya. She wanted a little sibling
All started talking with Becky when Damian mentioned his brother. Back at home she brought the topic and neither Pa or Ma were giving her an answer of where babies come from
That's when she begun to feel like being a sister. Any plan helped her to convince her parents though
Anya remembered something Mr Henderson told them. "If you want something, take it into your own hands"
And she took it too seriously
Next day Anya and Bond disappeared, she was in the dogs park with Yor
While Mrs Forger panicked Anya had returned to the place she met Twilight
As the time passed the Forgers worried more. When they found Anya and Bond at their building's door they felt relieved
Your presence didn't make things better
They asked Anya where she had been and where did you come from. She said she adopted you
Of course Anya wasn't going to say she broke into an orphanage and took you
Loid's scolding made you cry
"Anya, we aren't adopting–"
"If she's not my sister I won't go to school ever again!!"
"Just for a trial period" that's what Loid hoped
General headcanons
Loid thought babies were easy because it's unnecessary (more impossible) communication with a living being that can't talk; after all babies only have basic needs. He was wrong
It would be easier if you could talk. Why are you crying? You have eaten! Are you sad? Cold? You dislike him?
Yor is not better either. Because her parents died when Yuri was a kid Yor didn't have experience with changing diapers, or anything related with babies
She was more scared than Loid to the point she didn't want to hold you. She broke Yuri's ribs with a hug when he was a toddler, what if she kills you with few contact?
In less than 24 hours you already had a crib and all kinds of things a baby would need. However, having three bedrooms and parents sleeping in separate rooms meant all your things ended in Anya's room
You cried at night until they discovered you calmed down when Anya let you a plushie to hug
She can't wait for the day pa and ma share bed to take back her bedroom
The second night Anya had an idea
Ma is scared of being your mom, solution? Leave you in her bed while Yor is asleep imagining that would work
Thanks God Yor doesn't move much when sleeping. On the other hand Yor is a light sleeper due not being used to sleep with someone so she woke up minutes later
She almost jump out of the bed, realizing that would make you cry made her contain. You groaned, did she wake you up? Yor wasn't sure of holding you, instead she laid down again and approached you to her chest
Seeing you so peaceful by her side melted her, thinking about it you looked a bit like her and Loid.. She blushed at the embarrassing thought
Bold of them to not imagine that's why Anya chose you
In the morning Loid discovered what happened and had a little words with Anya during breakfast before she went to school
Yor went to work and he decided to take a day off from his work to spend the morning with you. The Handler said the first days you should see them to recognize faces
Walks with Bond, buying toys, trying to teach you sign language...Normal stuff
Loid is glad you don't do anything but sleep and eat, except your obsession with munching. When you first kissed Yor he found it normal until you munched her cheek and now you do that to everyone; probably you're teething
Yor found it really cute, but you shouldn't go kissing and chewing cheeks. Anya thinks is funny just don't try to chew her hair again please
Another problem came with names. Loid was going through a list of 850 names in alphabetical order, meanings included; Yor didn't take it to the extreme
"Hum, what about Rose? I think it's a cute name, I mean it's both decision and I'm not good with names Loid–"
Welcome to the family Rose
A spy, an assassin, a telepath and... Well, a baby. Seems like a good mix
Yor Briar
Tumblr media
As we know Twilight only would adopt for Operation Strix's sake. Yor became mother by marrying Loid, but what if she had already a kid before being Mrs Forger?
Inspired by this post of @say-seira
How you met
Long ago before Twilight adopted the identity of Loid Forger, the Briars moved to a flat in Berlint
While the eldest sibling had recently become an adult Yuri was only a kid, Yor decided to move to the city so he had nearer his school. It was possible due her proper salary as Thorn Princess
This change would make her job easier too. She had a new client which death could pay Yuri's entrance to a good university
There was a politician who negotiated with terrorists, helping them to get into Ostania and providing them with weapons in exchange to gain good propaganda abroad and getting rid of competition
Knowing this was enough to make Yor's blood boil. He deserved to die, she was sure of it
Struggling with the security around him, Yor finally killed the target without leaving trace
The only inconvenience was a bad injury made by a bullet that she received. After removing the bullet the wound got worse
She went to the hospital to avoid an infection. In the waiting room she met a kind lady, Yor swore that she had seen her before
The woman was scared, but Yor reassured her she will wait her
While Yor was attended the girl was taken to another room. As she promised, Yor waited in the hall after her wound was treated; with a buttoned medical gown on because she didn't want to attract more attention due the bandaged wound in sight
Time passed and many people enter and exit from the room, but she didn't. A nurse carrying something mistook her for one of the staff and scolded her for standing there
"Here, take the baby to the nursery"
"Me? But— wait! What about the woman? Is she okay?"
From afar she heard the answer, but before Yor could explain the error the woman had left. She was shocked, how? She seemed fine
Against her will the dark-haired looked at the lump she was holding: rosy cheeks babbling in dreams, you were in peace
Her shock grew when she saw you shared the username that the man she killed had. That's why the woman was familiar: she was the politician's daughter
Yor searched someone who hand the baby when she recognized the doctor that guided the woman to the room, he was talking with a masked nurse
The fact they went to a private place and maintained their voices low made her suspect
"Did you take care of the mother?" the nurse asked
"Yes, they got ahead of us with her father but I think they will pay us anyway. When they found it was a medical negligence we'll be far from here"
Yor understood they were assassins as well, probably paid by a rival. Luckily they hadn't seen her yet
"Heh, do you they will pay more if we got rid of the baby?"
Yor left the hospital with you, unsure of what to do. Did you have more relatives? The widowed politician didn't have more kids, and your mother came alone. What if they wanted to kill the rest of the family?
A small hand grabbed hers, and every fear disappeared. Looking at each other, she knew you were safer with her. Perhaps it was only guilt or sympathy, but she would try
General headcanons
The moment Yuri saw Yor holding you was in disbelief. Yor said she found you in the streets and he believed it
At first he tried to convince her sister to leave you in a orphanage but once scolding was enough to cease
Still disliking you for the first months. It took some time until he saw you like one of his family
Yuri helped, although they had a rough time because you refused to eat Yor's purees. Your endurance might grew up to make you the only person who can eat her food without bleeding but it doesn't mean you like its flavor
She viewed you as a sibling until you were two, being called mom made Yor too happy to correct you. Yuri was just Yuri, you never feel like using formalities with him or addressing "Uncle" everytime you talked
Yor decided to let your belongings, it was better that way. When you were older, and only if you wanted, she would tell you the truth
She's bad with names, Rose was the only name she could think of but you're a boy. Yor's parents loved that Yuri and her had matching names, therefore you would be the sweet addition to it
The only name I could think of is Yuu because it's gender neutral and means "you" sorry
During the first year of your life she didn't try to hide the blood of her clothes from you. Yuri never suspected either and you wouldn't remember it when you grow up
Your lack of childhood amnesia was something she didn't have in count. Not that she knows you know anyway
Yor has been training you since you were able to walk, if she wasn't there when you needed at least you would be ready to defend yourself. Proud to say you're her strong boy
That said, if the assassins that tried to killed you found were you lived it's something you ignore. Being the protective mother Yor is they could be dead by now
Six years later, it was still Yor and you against the world, with Yuri being the only paternal figure you had. Before one day she met a man and everything changed
She said he will help her by accompanying her to a party so Yuri stopped worrying about her. She said it would be one night, and the next morning you woke up with Yor waiting to talk with you
In part she accepted because of you; you passed the Eden exam before knowing you needed a dad for it. That requisite seemed stupid for you, as you reassured her you could go to any other school; now you would be accepted into the best school!
You agreed and started packing. What else you could do? The decision was made before you were asked anyway, and you didn't want to argue with your mom because she was doing it for your future too
Of course it affected you. No matter how nice they were it was a huge change; in one day you had to move to a new place which didn't feel like home and live with strangers who you'll have to share mom with isn't easy
Anya was nervous too, but for different reasons. She was so excited to meet her soon-to-be sibling! For her, who was an orphan last week, having a pa, a ma and a friend to play with was great
Her expectations went down when she read your mind. You didn't think bad of them, but excited wasn't the word to describe your emotional state either
Loid may not be good at understanding children, but it was clear for him you wasn't comfortable. For him would be weirder if you didn't seem affected at all
On the contrary, Yor seemed cool with all of this to you. Even without any idea of how to be a wife or mother for Anya she enjoyed her time as Forger, which confused you a bit
Yor is happier, not only because she didn't have to worry about the SSS or Yuri anymore. They make her happier, it's just matter of time she could fall for Loid and have a baby that was her own, real kid
Being sure Yor loves you and your new family want you to feel welcomed doesn't make disappear the feelings you carry with. Still, if mom is happy you prefer to keep it to yourself and try to maker her smile too
If it wasn't because Yuri hates the idea of her sister hiding her marriage for a year and sympathized your situation he would have laughed at the irony when you told him during your uncle-nephew walk the next day of his meeting with "Loiloi"
He doesn't know they got married before you attended school so he assumed you had been holding it for a long time. He passed his fingers through your hair
"I understand it's difficult, but I'll be for you whenever you need me"
+ Honorable mention to compensate you for the mild ansgt without warning
Daybreak
Tumblr media
We don't know much about him but I included this dork for fun
Thinking about "Daybreak" and "parenthood" makes anyone's mind stopped working
Mainly because it's difficult to say which one would be the child
Not "How you met headcanons" because he wouldn't be able to adopt to begin with
From what we saw in chapter 27 he seems to live alone, depending on his amazing spy career to afford pork steak for dinner. So he must not live too good given that after his first mission he was fired
If he had a child, it would be likely because of a previous relationship he had and didn't end well
He didn't adopt you. You're his biological kid, the only not adopted of this gang
Sorry we can't choose our family good luck ig
Not necessarily ended bad, even remaining as friends, your mother took a different path and is happily married with another man
If she knew he wanted to be a spy either thought "it's a joke" or *sigh*
She was who brought money in the relationship, now you live with her and your step-dad but at the beginning you didn't want to
Daybreak talked with you and promised you could visit each other and even live with him when he could afford it
They don't get it
Who would take care of him? The idea of living on his own was frightening to you
Imagine being father and is your kid who worries about whether pops know how to pay taxes without mom
You took after him in terms of appearance. Any signal of intelligence was from your mother
Average smart but surely smarter than him
Probably he thanked God that you were a boy. He will love whatever you are but he was relieved of saving himself of buying female products when you were on that time of the month and guide you through puberty
As much as he says to be a charming man he's not good with women either so
Your name is Sunny. Guess who chose it
Probably you see him more on weekends than during the week
Until you showed him Spy Wars he didn't have no idea that existed such good series
Of course not cooler than the legend he is but Daybreak jokes about how reading that and seeing your cool pops in action would make you half as good spy as he is someday
Quite sad is that your common sense along with the things you see on TV are enough to be better spy material
You try to watch it with him to see if he learns something
Unsure of what you'll be in the future but in the mean time you had fun watching cartoons and liking kids stuff like dinosaurs and skateboard
Current status: Busy with your first year at school and getting him out of trouble

The Promise Of A King Pt. 1
Pairing: Loki x Reader
Word Count: 2.2k
Warnings: none really- Loki's a lil mean but like- not even
Genre: kinda fluff
Summary: When your parents surprise you with the news that you are going to marry one of Asgard's princes you're not exactly thrilled. It's not made any better by said prince giving you the cold shoulder from the very moment you arrive. Now, not only do you have to worry about acclimating to an unfamiliar place but you must do so while preparing to marry someone who seems to absolutely detest you before you've said five words to him. You know you're duty-bound but why does it have to be so difficult?
***
You're humming to yourself as you clean around your room when your father excitedly bursts through your door. You notice your mother quietly follow behind him with a gentle smile.
"Y/n my girl, pack your bags, quickly." He tells you immediately.
"Why? Are we going somewhere?" Your brows furrow in confusion.
"You are going to Asgard dear." Your mother says softly.
"Why would I be going to Asgard?" You ask.
"The Allmother has called for you my child." Your dad says.
"Oh- is everything alright?"
"More than alright! It's finally time for you to wed Prince Loki."
"Wed Prince Loki? I- I don't understand." You shake your head with a light chuckle.
"You're betrothed to Loki prince of Asgard, you have been since you were six years old. It seems they are finally deciding to move forward with the engagement." Your mother explains.
"Betrothed?! How could you keep this a secret from me?!" You stumble backward a bit from the new information.
"We planned to tell you next week, on the eve of your twenty-third birthday, but since they're requesting you come there now that- obviously is no longer a viable plan." Your mother grimaces.
"Why would you wait so long?! You could've told me all these years and yet you never thought I should know?!"
"Regardless of when we told you we've done everything to prepare you for your future in Asgard." Your dad tells you.
"Except for telling me I was betrothed! Is that why I was never allowed to do the thing the other kids did? All the lessons and rules- you were preparing me to become a princess and eventually maybe the queen of Asgard?!"
"Not just of Asgard- of all the nine realms. This is the most important thing." Your father says.
"So important you never felt like you should tell me about it." You scoff.
"Y/n I understand you're upset sweetheart-"
"How could you possibly understand?! Not only have you sprung a fiance on me, a man I've never met but you're sending me to Asgard a place I've never been to live with strangers." You cut your mother off angrily.
"You can be mad all you want but they've sent a carriage for you and you need to get packing because they expect you to leave at once. You are to arrive in Asgard before nightfall." Your father tells you.
"I don't even have time to prepare for this?" You whisper.
"You've been preparing for this your whole life, even if you didn't know it. Hurry up and get your things together. We can't keep the Allmother and Allfather waiting forever." Your father says exiting your room. Your mother pulls your trunk from under your bed and opens it for you.
"I know it's not ideal,"
"Not ideal is the understatement of this century. Speaking of, who is still arranging marriages these days?" You scoff.
"Apparently the Allmother and Allfather." She shrugs.
"Well that's a tradition that will end with them if I have anything to say about it."
"I know you're unhappy- but perhaps this will be a better experience than you could possibly expect if only you give it a chance."
"It's not like I have much of a choice in the matter. I'm betrothed. If the Allmother and Allfather want me to marry their son then that's what I'm going to do." You sigh as you pack up your clothes and some personal effects.
"From what I've heard of them both princes have grown to quite attractive young men so- it can't be all bad." She muses with a shrug. You chuckle a bit and shake your head at her.
"Prince Loki being attractive is the least of my worries mother." You tell her.
"Of course it is but I hope it'll soften the blow a little bit to know we haven't sent you off to an ugly old troll." She says with a wink.
"Yes it's wonderful to know my parents didn't promise my hand in marriage to a troll." You roll your eyes a bit as you lock up your trunk.
"I'll call the guards to carry this out for you." She says standing from your bed and leaving you to your thoughts for a moment. You are to meet the Asgardian royal family by day's end. You are to meet your fiance by day's end. You blow out a breath as you realize the surreality of it all. Betrothed and you never even knew. You say your goodbyes to your parents and climb into the carriage, watching your home becomes smaller as you begin the journey to Asgard.
When you arrive the sun is still high in the sky, you guess it's a few hours past midday as you climb out of the carriage to what looks like the entire palace staff awaiting you. You're announced by a guard upon your descent from the carriage and you immediately walk the stone path to where the royal family is standing together waiting for you. The king and queen are in the middle with a son on either side of them.
"Allmother, Allfather, thank you so much for welcoming me into your home." You say with a bow once you reach them.
"Y/n, it is wonderful to see you dear." Frigga smiles kindly at you.
"My you've grown up! Frigga do you still remember when we saw her as a babe?" Odin chuckles heartily. You offer them a small smile and then turn to Loki.
"Prince Loki, it's a pleasure to meet you." You say to him with a dip of your head. Loki simply stares at you for a moment before he turns and walks away, his cape dramatically trailing behind him. Frigga frowns ever so slightly at his dismissal.
"Lady y/n! Thor, God of Thunder. It's lovely to meet you." Thor says drawing your attention away from Loki's cold shoulder.
"It's lovely to meet you too Prince Thor." You say with a smile.
"Please! Just Thor is fine. We are to be siblings soon after all!" Thor says kindly.
"Thor, be a dear and escort y/n to her chambers would you?" Frigga says to her son.
"Of course! Right this way y/n!" Thor says holding his arm out to you. You loop your arm through his with a nod of thanks and allow him to lead you into the palace. You can't say you expected Loki to be eager about your engagement really but his lack of acknowledgment was a bit harsher than you were prepared for. It's not like you're responsible for this arrangement and yet it seems he's already upset with you before you've even said anything.
"Try not to take my brother's behavior personally. He's quite unfriendly to most people." Thor says as you walk through the palace halls. He could see a metaphorical cloud brewing over your head because of Loki's response and wanted to ease your worries.
"Oh- is he?" You frown.
"Yes. I'm sure it's nothing to do with you, so I hope you are not worried by it." Thor says, concern written on his face when he looks at you.
"Well it wasn't exactly the warmest of welcomes, but yours was warm enough for the both of you. Besides, I'm not exactly overjoyed about the engagement anyway. My parents only told me of it this morning when I was getting picked up." You scoff.
"Ah- an unwelcome surprise then. We've arrived at your room. Please feel free to let me know if there's anything I can do to make your stay here better." Thor tells you, opening the door and gesturing you inside.
"Thank you Thor." You nod to him.
"I'm sure you're tired from the long day so I will allow you time to settle in. My parents and I would be thrilled if you could join us for dinner later."
"Dinner?"
"Yes, only if you are feeling up to it of course."
"I'll consider your invitation Thor thank you."
"Excellent. I'll return to fetch you at dinner time, at which point you can decline and I'll have dinner brought to you, or you can join my family but just to be clear you do not have to come to dinner. I understand if today has already been overwhelming enough."
"That's very considerate of you Thor, I really appreciate it."
"Of course, we want you to be comfortable during your stay." He nods leaving you to rest. Your bags have been brought to your room so you spend a bit of time unpacking, although you notice one of the wardrobes is filled with dresses already. You wonder if these dresses are for something specific.
"Lady y/n?" A soft voice rouses you from your impromptu nap. You blink your eyes open and nearly jump at the smiling face near you.
"Ah- sorry if we scared you Lady y/n. I'm Lily, this is Ella, and she's Anne. We're your servants while you stay at the palace. The king and queen expect us to take care of all of your needs." Her hair is raven black and pin straight, while Ella has wild red curls messily pulled into a ponytail, and Anne's hair is a chestnut brown.
"Prince Thor said they were expecting you for dinner and asked us to introduce ourselves and help you get ready." Anne says kindly.
"Oh, well I appreciate that, but- I don't need help getting ready." You tell them, getting out of bed.
"But- well it's our job Lady y/n." Anne frowns.
"I'm sure it'll take some getting used to but for the duration of your stay, we are going to be helping you with everything." Lily says.
"If you're going to join the family for dinner we need to start dressing you now." Ella says grabbing one of the gowns from your closet.
"Oh? Is what I'm wearing not- good?" You frown.
"You traveled in these clothes didn't you?" Anne asks.
"I did." You nod.
"You can wear your own clothes most of the time, but for meals with the royal family, you should be dressed in a gown." Lily tells you as the girls begin moving around you in a flurry. The trio seems very in sync as they dress you and with three sets of hands, it takes them no time at all to prepare you.
"Wow." You whisper as you look at yourself in the large full length mirror. A knock at the door of your room catches your attention.
"Should I answer that?" Ella asks.
"I can get the door you know." You laugh.
"Lady y/n we know you're capable but there are ways things are done here." Lily tells you as she nods for Ella to open the door.
"Oh, hello Thor. Is it time for dinner?" You ask him when he walks in.
"Hello your highness." The three girls greet him in unison.
"Evening ladies. It is time for dinner indeed! Will you be joining us Lady y/n?" He asks.
"I will, yes."
"Excellent! My family is waiting in the dining hall, if you're ready we can join them." Thor says holding his arm out to you.
"I'm ready, we can go." You say, looping your arm through his. Thor leads you down several hallways until you reach the dining hall.
"I have arrived with Lady y/n!" Thor announces as you walk in.
"Y/n! Brilliant. You decided to join us for dinner." Queen Frigga says, standing from her seat to greet you.
"I did, yes. Thank you for the invitation your Majesties." You offer a small bow as Thor pulls out a seat for you. Next to Loki. Dinner is already on the table you note as you take your seat.
"Of course darling, you're an honored guest in our palace." She says kindly.
"I appreciate your kindness." You smile as you sit down. Thor sits on the other side of the table and you turn to address Loki. "Hello Loki. It's nice to see you again." You say to him. Aside from a sigh, he doesn't even acknowledge you as he eats. You clench your fists at his second dismissal.
"So y/n, are you settling in okay?" Frigga asks to end the silence.
"I am yes, thank you." You say, taking bites of your food.
"Have you been anywhere in the palace yet?" Odin asks.
"Oh, not yet, I fear I'd get lost very easily. This palace is gorgeous but- huge." You muse.
"Perhaps one of the boys could show you around tomorrow? Loki?" Odin suggest.
"I'm busy." He grumbles out. Thor fixes Loki with a look.
"I would be happy to show you around Lady y/n." Thor says with warmth.
"I appreciate it Thor thank you." You say quietly. Loki stands and silently leaves the dining room without a word. Thor looks at the way your face contorts and your shoulders drop as you stare after Loki.
"Y/n?" He says gently.
"Yes Thor?" You ask turning to him with a smile.
"Tell me about your home. I don't much about where you're from." He says. You light up at the chance to talk about your home and that is enough to get you through dinner without more frowns. Thor walks you back to your room and promises to return in the morning for breakfast and to give you a tour of the palace.
You know that you've come here to marry prince Loki but you're starting to believe it's an impossible goal. He won't even talk to you, how can you marry someone who refuses to look at you? What kind of life is that to live? Where your husband completely ignores your presence. You may not have been excited about this union but you had hoped that perhaps you would find some sort of common ground with Loki so your marriage could have some level of companionship but- that hope shattered the moment you said hello to him when you arrived. On the bright side, the rest of his family seems happy enough to have you here, and you feel that you'll be fast friends with Thor.

*****
You were having the laziest day of your life. Sitting on your side of the bed in a hoodie and sweatpants, you were stuffing your face with popcorn while watching reruns of your favourite show. With no hunts for the day, you were having a lazy day after months and you were enjoying it way too much. Crumbs of the snacks you’ve had earlier were scattered on the bed, decorating the sheets like confetti. Little pieces of popcorn were falling everywhere but you didn’t care. And you didn’t care that you didn’t care. You were loving the fact that you had nothing to do all day but lie in bed and eat junk and be lazy and messy and ugly and dirty. You were basically a zombie for the day.
Ah! This is what dreams are made of. You thought to yourself, sighing after another episode ended. You stretched your body, a few of your joints popping due to not getting any movement for so long, and hummed happily to yourself. You pressed play on the remote, the next episode playing, and changed your position on the bed. Lying on your side, you brought up your knees to your chest, one of your hands supporting your head, and kept the popcorn bowl within arm’s reach.
You had only continued your munching for a few minutes when your green eyed sex god of a boyfriend entered the room, excitement making his huge frame shake. He stopped at the foot of the bed, bouncing on the balls of his feet and you got a little annoyed at how energetic he was being. Your eyes were still glued to the screen, hand going in the direction of the bowl, blindly picking some popcorn and gorging yourself with it.
Dean moved in front of the tv and switched it off. You let out a ‘hey!’ in protest and he came to sit beside you. You scowled at him for interrupting your plan of being a zombie all day and he kept a hand on your hip, a cheeky smile playing on his lips which told you that he was up to something.
“Get ready, sweetheart. We’re going on an impromptu date.” He said with eagerness, clapping his hands together, and you still kept scowling at him. He seemed to have figured out what was swirling around in your head and started shaking you lightly.
“Come on, Y/N! It’s been so long since we had a date night and I have the perfect thing in mind.” He whined, making puppy dog eyes. You almost gave in right there but the lazy part of you stopped you from saying yes.
“But whyyy?! I don’t want to get ready or dress up or do my hair or look pretty or take a shower. I want to spend all day in bed doing absolutely nothing.” You whined back.
“Y/n, come on! You can be lazy all you want tomorrow. And look at all this mess and you haven’t even showered?!” Your boyfriend exclaimed. You just shrugged in return. So what if I didn’t shower today? It wasn’t like I smelled. Or did I?
You shook your head to get those thoughts out of your head and pulled the covers over your head, trying to hide under them and not let Dean force you to get out of bed. He tried to snatch the covers from you, going to stand at the foot of the bed again, but you had a deathgrip on them. Of course you were no match to him when it came to strength and he managed to steal them from you, throwing them on the small chair in the room. You groaned and folded your body more, tightly wrapping your arms around your knees and burying your head in the space between your knees and chest.
Dean grabbed a hold of your ankle and easily pulled you to the end of the bed and you screamed in protest, grabbing whatever you could to hold on. To anyone else the scene would surely look extremely comical, you clutching the sheets like your life depended on it and Dean dragging you towards the end of the bed. You knew you were being childish and throwing a tantrum like a kid whose mother refused to give in to their unnecessary demand they made in a public place right now but you didn't want to leave your bed. You were so comfortable and happy spending the day there and your boyfriend was bursting your peaceful bubble of lethargy.
“Why. Are. You. So. Damn. Lazy?!” Dean huffed exasperatedly, pulling you more and more towards the edge with each word.
You finally gave up on your plan, knowing you were no match for your stupid boyfriend’s stupid strength. You swiped the strands of hair that stuck on your face from all the scuffle in annoyance, when you stood up on your feet, and looked him in the eyes.
“I didn’t choose the lazy Dean. The. Lazy. Chose. Me.” You huffed with every step you took to leave the room and go to the bathroom to get ready for your impromptu date.
Dean chuckled and shook his head at your antics, taking a pair of your jeans, your undergarments and a jumper out of the drawer to give to you since you didn’t take any with you. He dropped the clothes on the bench of the bathroom, shouting ‘don’t take too long and get ready in 45 minutes’, and came back to change his clothes too.
Rolling your eyes for the millionth time in the last hour, you dragged your boot clad feet to the bunker’s garage. You would have been spending the whole day in sweats and a hoodie and here you were now, wearing jeans and a bra. Oh how cruel life is to break my dreams like that! You internally groaned.
You found Dean humming a tune to himself while leaning against his precious Impala, legs crossed at the ankles and arms folded. His head perked up when the sound of your footsteps reached his ears and he immediately opened the passenger side door for you. You grumpily took a seat and Dean, still acting all gentlemanly, closed the door and rounded the car to take a seat in the driver’s side.
He jammed the key into the ignition and turned it, driving out of the garage. The green eyed man turned on some soft rock tunes, his fingers drumming to their tune. His whole demeanor was annoying you, testing your limits. How was he so happy after literally dragging me off the bed and stopping me from being the sack of potatoes I so desperately wanted to be all day?
“Why couldn’t we have a lazy date night in the Cave?” You asked, turning your body towards him.
“Because I can’t remember the last time we went out on a nice date and what I have planned is gonna be so much better than a lazy date night in the Cave.” He replied with confidence.
“I’ll be the judge of that.” You grumbled, folding your arms.
“At least tell me where we’re going!” You whined after a few minutes had passed, stomping your foot like a child. You were really in a mood today.
“Then it won’t be a surprise.” Dean said, like it was obvious. You faced him and gave him your best puppy dog eyes, jutting out your lower lip to make the pout he could never say no to. He gave you a glance and then chuckled, “Nice try, sweetheart. But my hands are tied.”- he raised his hands in defeat and shrugged, -“I’m sorry but no can do.”
You let out a groan of frustration and decided to give up on prying information from him and just wait to see what this great plan of his was.
After a little over an hour of driving, Dean put Baby in park and you could see a tent with some lights and stuff. It was a carnival.
He brought you to a freaking carnival?!
“A carnival.” You said, judgement dripping from your voice.
“What? It’ll be fun!” He shrugged, a huge smile plastered on his face.
“I swear to god Dean if i don’t have any fun-”
“If you don’t have a good time then I’ll do whatever you want for a month.” He rambled out before you could complete your threat.
“Whatever?” You asked him, wanting to know if he was sure what he was signing himself up for. He nodded in reply and you thought about the little deal he was presenting you.
“Make it two and you have yourself a deal.” You countered, giving him a huge fake smile and putting your hand forward so you could shake on it.
“Deal!” Dean said and instead of shaking your hand, he crashed his lips on yours, kissing you like he hadn’t for years. He parted from you and you weren’t sure if you were out of breath because of the kiss or because of how good he kissed you. “That’s the way to properly seal a deal, sweetheart.” He winked and got out of the car, leaving you breathless and in a daze in the car.
You shook your head to get your brain back to working and got out of the car. You rounded and saw Dean holding his hand out for you. You couldn’t help the genuine smile and warmth that graced your cheeks. You hated how a tiny gesture from him made your heart do somersaults like a teenage girl even after all these years of knowing and dating him. Intertwining your fingers with his, you started walking towards the entry to go inside.
You were mesmerised by the hundreds of lights that were acting as a roof over your heads, looking like a galaxy of stars, as soon as you stepped foot into the carnival. You uttered a ‘Whoa!’ and could already see the smug smile forming on your boyfriend’s face. He gave you a ‘Hate to say I told you so’ look which you just ignored, pulling him towards the first stall your eyes fell on.
Dean suggested that you two eat a little before indulging in any activities and you quickly agreed since you didn’t have anything to eat all day other than those few snacks. You both opted for a hotdog and quickly finished it, feeling the hunger once the food was in your hands. The both of you roamed a little around the fair, watching everything that was on display.
The various games that were hard for normal people but to you both were as easy as pie and all the different prizes they had. A particular prize caught your eye and you memorised the stall number to visit later. The numerous contrasting foods and their delicious aromas wrapped around you like a blanket as you passed their respective stalls.
You saw a stall with flavoured lemonade and urged Dean to try some. You continued exploring while drinking the flavours of your choice. You reached the end of the ground, where the carnival was set, where a huge Ferris wheel waited for you and Dean.
You could only imagine the view you would get from the top. You tugged at your boyfriend’s jacket sleeve, stopping at the queue for the giant ride. You quickly emptied your plastic cups and threw them in the trash. You couldn’t help but notice Dean being a little nervous about the ride and found it so adorable. Dean Winchester, the best hunter in the world, was scared of a Ferris wheel.
It wasn’t long till it was your chance to sit in one of the carts. The crew guy locked the bar over your laps, securing you in. You heard Dean start humming Metallica, which you knew he did to calm himself down, as the ride started to take you up. You took his hand in yours, your thumb caressing the back of his hand. His grip on your hand tightened and you squeezed it back in reassurance, resting your head on his shoulder. You knew he was a little scared but couldn’t help and find the whole situation utterly adorable and amusing.
The wheel stopped when you were halfway to the top and you looked down to see that a couple was getting off a cart and another taking their place. You looked back at Dean, sitting next to you, and he had a funny expression on his face.
“Hey! You okay?” You asked, your brows furrowing.
He scanned his surroundings for a few seconds and then gulped, looking at you. You raised your eyebrows in question and he opened his mouth but no words came out.
“I uh...I think I’m gonna throw up.” He stuttered.
“You WHAT?!” You said, voice getting louder with shock while you let go of his hand and put as much distance as you could between the two of you. Your turn had just started and you were approximately 50 feet above ground and you had nowhere to go. Your thoughts started spiralling and you quickly rambled out, “I swear to god Dean if you throw up here I’ll kill you. Don’t even think about throwing up. Swallow it down if you have to. Don’t you dare throw up.”
“I can’t just not throw up Y/n!” He screeched.
“I don’t care!!” You said, shaking your head from side to side.
You both stared at each other in disbelief for a minute when Dean started laughing hysterically, his whole body shaking the cart. Your eyes widened when realisation hit you. He was messing with you. He wasn’t nauseous. Ugh! You hated him so much. The ride started again, taking you both up and he was still laughing.
“Asshole!” You said, smacking his arm and the cart shook a little bit.
“Whoa Y/n! I might fall!” Dean shrieked and you grumbled ‘Good!’ in reply.
You crossed your arms, rolling your eyes and looking away from him. It wasn’t long until you reached the top and as soon as you took in the view, your annoyance vaporized into thin air. You could see the whole town from up here, hundreds of lights twinkling in the distance, the cold wind blowing through your hair. It all looked so heavenly stunning.
“This is so beautiful!” You whispered in awe.
“Yeah it is.” Dean agreed with you and when you looked at him, he was looking at you. “It’s the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen.”
You rolled your eyes while a blush crept up on your cheeks making your face warm even in the cold breeze. A smug expression made its way on Dean’s face and he wiggled his brow at you, thinking of how easy it was to win you over. But before he could make a smartass comment, you crashed your lips onto his, shutting him up. He didn’t seem to mind, bringing his hand up to your cheek, his thumb caressing it, while the other one still held onto the metal bar which was your only safety.
You made out like horny teenagers the whole ride, giggling when your noses collided. You both got out of the small cart, hands entwining and began to make your way back. You were walking quietly, taking in your surroundings when out of nowhere a guy ran past you, drenching you with the milkshake he had in his hand. You gasped at the contact of the cold liquid with your body, which quickly started seeping into your clothes and making you shiver.
“Son of a bitch!” Dean cursed looking at you, anger filling him straight away and then his green eyes gazed behind you to catch sight of that guy.
“Let it go, Dean. I need to change before I get sick.” You said, tugging at his hand.
“Okay okay. I think I saw a souvenir shop a little ahead. Let’s get you some clean clothes from there.” He said, his anger disappearing and worry taking its place.
You nodded and let him guide you to the shop, hoping they had some clothes you could wear. As much as you disliked coming here at first, you were having a good time and didn’t wanna go back home so soon.
You went into the shop, thanking everyone in this world when you found some clothes at the back. You quickly took off their tag and handed them to Dean so he could pay for them while you changed in the fitting room. You quickly got out of your milkshake soaked clothes and put them in a plastic bag. You left the fitting room, your eyes meeting with those gorgeous green ones and he chuckled, shaking his head and looking down.
“What?” You asked, feeling a little conscious.
“Nothing. I’m just not that surprised at your choice of clothing.” He said with amusement, waving his hand up and down towards your body.
You glanced down at yourself and realised that you were wearing sweatpants and a hoodie. You were back in your lazy clothes and chuckled too. You looked at Dean and shrugged while smirking, “What can I say? The lazy chose me.”
He grinned at you, pulling you in for a kiss. The kiss was all sweet and loving. He parted when the need for air became too much and rested his forehead on yours, whispering on your lips, “I’m starting to think it did.”
You pecked his lips one more time before taking his hand to exit the shop. You both roamed around a bit more, going on some rides and eating some food. You lost a bet to Dean, getting dizzy before him on Chair-O-Planes, resulting in him making fun of you before you kissed him to shut him up while he lost a bet to you, getting scared in the fun house once while you didn’t. You made fun of him before he applied your method of shutting him up, kissing you. You both tried a hybrid of a cake and a pie which was so fucking delicious that it left you two moaning with each bite and you instantly got a whole one packed to take home. Dean kept convincing you to call it Pieke which you kept ignoring. You also tried something called a ‘pizza cone’, it looked like a normal ice cream cone but instead of the ice cream, it had cheese and pizza sauce and the cone was made out of dough. It was easily the best kind of pizza you’ve ever had and got a few of them packed for everyone back at home.
It was safe to say that both of your stomachs were full with finger-licking food and your hearts with irreplaceable memories from tonight. You couldn’t remember the last time you felt this carefree and had so much fun. You hated to admit it, but Dean was right and you were definitely not going to say that out loud and give him one more chance of being all cocky and boastful.
Both of you were lazily strolling with one of your hands carrying the bags with the food and the other interlaced with each others’. You could see the opening from where you had entered, meaning you had done everything there was to do.
“You ready to go home, sweetheart?” Dean asked, his head tilting to you while his eyes darted towards the entry/exit point.
You hummed while nodding, Dean pecking your forehead and beginning to walk again. You had just stepped out of the carnival when your brain reminded you of that stall number you had thought of visiting before and you quickly shrieked, “WAIT!!”
He stopped in his tracks, turning to you with his brows raised, “What?”
“Uh, I remembered something I have to do.” You gave him a vague reply, not looking him in the eye.
“Okay, let’s go do it then.” He said, turning to walk back inside.
“NO!! No no.” You yelped, pushing on his shoulders to turn him back. He gave you a perplexed look and you awkwardly said, “You don’t have to come. Plus I kinda gotta do it alone.”
“Okaaay..” Dean said, unsure.
“Alright! So I'll meet you at the car in 20.” You hastily rambled out, pecking his lips and made your way back to the stall you had earlier seen in the night, leaving a dumbfounded Dean behind.
You were walking back to the car, a giant rainbow slinky in your hands, which were behind your back, to hide the toy from him. You saw how heartbroken he was, when the one Sam had gotten him on a case, got broken. You just wanted to see his whole face light up and give you that huge smile that lit up your world. You had seen the slinky displayed as a prize on the Ring Toss game and had won it for your boyfriend easily, your hunter skills coming handy.
You saw Dean leaning against the Impala, a mischievous look on his face, something blue and huge peeking out from where he was hiding it behind him. You squinted your eyes to figure out what he was hiding but failed to make anything out.
“What you got there, Y/n?” Dean questioned, nodding to your hands, amusement painted all over his face.
“I could ask the same.” You smirked, raising one of your eyebrows.
“Well as they say, ‘Ladies first’” He winked and you chuckled.
“You’re gonna need your hands for this one and they’re a little busy as far as I can tell.” You said, wiggling your brows at him.
Realisation hit him and you chuckled at his puzzled expression at what to do with whatever was in his hands. He told you to close your eyes and not open them until he shoved the thing he had in his hands in Baby through the window. He gave you the green light to open his eyes. You gave out a count of three out loud and then brought the slinky in front of you. Dean gasped, his whole face lighting up with a million megawatt smile, just like you had imagined, lighting up your whole world in the process.
“No! Oh, you’re the best girlfriend EVER!!! I LOVE YOU AND YOU’RE SO FREAKING AWESOME!!!” Dean blurted out, voice raising with each word, probably on cloud nine right now. Your face heated up at his words but you just dismissed them, mumbling ‘yeah yeah’ while looking down at your feet.
“Okay time for your surprise!”- He said, remembering what he had stuffed in the window earlier, -“Close your eyes.”- he insisted, turning around to get it out of the car while you shut your eyes, -”And no cheating!” You chuckled at his childish behaviour, loving it all the same.
“You need some help with that?” You teased him, after a few minutes passed and you heard him struggling to get it out of the car. He grunted an ‘almost done’ making you chuckle again.
“Alright, open up, sweetheart.” He said.
“YOU DID NOT!!” You gasped as you saw what he was holding in his hands, happy tears making your eyes blurry, reminding you of your childhood.
You instantly took the giant, almost as big as you, Stitch stuffed plush from his arms, squeezing it tightly against yourself. You couldn’t believe he got that for you. That little alien meant the world to you.
“I saw it at a shooting game after you left and I just couldn’t not get it for you. I know how much you love the movie and this weird guy. And also this is compensation if you didn’t have a good time tonight.” He told you and you looked up at him.
“Dean I...this...YOU are the best boyfriend in this universe and all the others. You don’t know how much this means to me...I...I love you.” You stuttered, words not coming to you as your feelings overwhelmed you, your voice getting smaller at the end.
He stepped forward, crashing his lips on yours, kissing you passionately while his large hands cupped your face. You kissed him back with the same passion, pouring all the feelings you felt into it, immense love for a certain green eyed man being the biggest. You parted when the need for oxygen became too much and rested your forehead on his.
“You should find yourself a new bed to sleep in because I just found a new cuddle buddy I won’t be letting go of any time soon.” You teased him, a smile playing on your lips.
“Pfft yeah right.” Dean scoffed, rolling his eyes.
“Yeah, sorry Stitch, unfortunately I kinda love him the most.” You said with mock sadness in your tone.
“Unfortunately my ass!” He grumbled and you laughed at that.
“I love you. So so much.” You said, pecking his lips.
“I know. Now get your cute butt in the car. It’s getting late and we gotta go home.” He said, lightly smacking your ass as you rounded the car to take a seat.
“Plus, I gotta show you just how much I love you for getting me that slinky.” He winked, suggestively, getting into the car.
“Oh I can’t wait.” You winked back.

They were new in this neighborhood, it was obvious. There were reasons for that, but Zarina didn't wish to dive into it too much. As long as Arseniy could find other kids to play around with and be a normal boy, it was better that way. And as long as she could live quietly and work from home, it was better that way for the next two months. She personally asked to giv her an extended vacation as she promised her son some peace and quiet since working as the, well, informant and weapon's dealer wasn't exactly good for a single mother, but she was proud of her success and her business escapades.
What she didn't exepct was her little boy accidentally bringing back a toy that didn't belong to him. Concerned, the boy would nudge his mother to come with him to give the toy back. Arseniy, the example of a gentleman (her little pride and joy), said that the toy belonged to a little girl named Nahida who lived down two blocks. Immediately, Zarina remembered that precious little girl with whom she met the first day they were moved in. Not only that, but she remembered joining the children in singing and dancing at that one moment, truly a sight of genuine peace. It made sense now why he felt so bad, the young girl with bright emerald eyes was a sweetheart and he really wanted to be her friend, saying that she helped him get used to the neighborhood as well. It surprised Zarina to hear that there was another gifted child who could keep up with Arseniy's talks and his energy to create, invent, and just dive into everything eh was curious about. Usually, kids of his age would be more interested in more mundane things, but the young boy was taking after his mother's and his uncle's genius for sure. His golden eyes shined as his black hair was ruffled by her, stating that they could go return said toy to the other house. It seemed that his favorite rubik's cube was missing, the one gifted to him by his uncle.
The address was correct, Sokolova noted as she recalled speaking with Nahida when they were saying goodbye to each other with Arseniy. The problem waas that she didn't know the parents of the little girl, she didn't get a chance to meet with them. It wasn't late yet and the Sun was still up, so she hoped that the exchange won't be too much of a hassle. Arseniy, on the other hand, was nervous beyond simple words, moving his weight from left to right leg, holding the toy in his hand (cleaned from sand) while she lightly tickle him to make him less nervous. A soft 'Mama!' would be heard from him as she laughs before pressing the doorbell in hopes that someone was home. It's easy to hear a familiar girl's voice who even looked out of the window to look who was there, immediately recognizing who came and then disappearing.
"Let's hope her parents aren't too mad for us coming unanounced," the woman chuckles after seeing her son's shocked and concerned expression that immediately turned into a pout. He didn't appreciate his mother's comedic poke at this situation.
'Her dad is probably home, she said he's a...'
Wait, 'dad'? She kind of skipped everything her son said, instead hearing an unknown voice heard behind the door. And when the door opens, Zarina didn't know what to expect. Not the man she saw at that moment. However, she kept her smile friendly and polite. She almost felt bad for being dressed so plainly (says her). Arseniy immediately introduced himself without missing a heartbeat, bowing slightly to show respect. It was cute how he stuttered and introduced before his own mother to which Zarina laughed softly and ruffled his hair again before looking up at - as she understood - Nahida's father. She'd seen a lot of handsome men in her life, but something about this one... Well, not a thought for tonight.
Tumblr media
"Good evening, I apologize for intruding on your family time, but as my son introduced himself - his name is Arseniy and my name is Zarina. I'm afraid my son by accident took one of your daughter's belongings," golden gaze would look at the little girl waving at them, Sokolova waved slightly back and Arseniy smiled shyly. Mybe the kids would want to play around together a bit more, who knew? Then again, Zarina did bring some treats so they wouldn't come empty handed (toy excluded). A set of delicious kystyby made today. Just a small appetizer as she didn't know what the other family enjoyed. "We came to return it to her since we live right around the corner. It's a pleasure to meet you, sir. How can I refer to you?"

Hi guys. Happy Gruvia/ Greige day. I wish all of you wonderful time.
That's gonna be the first one shot , i have ever published here, feedback is welcome. I hope It's not that bad and you'll somehow like it lmao.
,,I think I would rather have a plushie as a Christmas gift…., but I guess I shouldn't be too picky."
-Dad? - called 6-year-old Greige, on one December afternoon, when both him and his father were decorating a christmas-tree in the living room . December 24th was slowly approaching. It was Greige's favorite time of the year , because he was able to spend Christmas with all of his family, including all of his uncles , aunts and friends. Not forgetting about grandpa Makarov . Even Uncle Gildards would show up, bringing something for the kids. -I was wondering what would happen if Santa's reindeer suddenly wanted to pee while flying?- asked seriously little boy. No one wanted to tell him that. When he asked big bro Romeo , he just started laughing and then he called him silly. "How could he do that?" -thought heartbroken Greige after. -Heh , where did that come from? ... you know ... they'd have to stop somewhere by, right? Daddy doesn't know much about it- said Gray, trying to keep himself from laughing. He couldn't laugh, he knew it would offend his little angel. Their son hated when someone made fun of him . After all, he was already a big boy, and everyone knows that such must be taken seriously. - So maybe Mommy knows? I will go and ask her,- said the little boy, putting down Christmas decorations . Speaking of mom, he had recently noticed his mother's strange behavior. She had been getting tired very easily lately, she often took naps. He also noticed that she spent an enormous amount of time sewing ,mostly clothing. Well.. he was aware of his mom's hobby, but usually it was limited to sewing plushies, sometimes socks or fixing their clothes. - You know, I don't think mommy knows more than me - said Gray after hanging the last Christmas-ball. - Besides, you know that mommy is sleeping now, right? She hasn't been feeling well lately, so she mustn't be disturbed. Something was off, even Daddy acts differently- thought little Fullbuster Now, that got the boy worried. - Is something wrong with Mommy? - asked slowly Greige He loved Mommy and Daddy most in the world and the very thought of them suffering hurt him deeply. "No, I won't start crying…Boys my age don't do that..." He had often been told that he should stop being such a crybaby (mostly by Yajeh or Nasha . Shutora would never. She was always trying her best to cheer him up,while reminding her twin and little Dragneel that if they won't stop with this stupid teasing, she would make sure both of them would regret it later). Unfortunately Greige could not help it. Whenever someone was hurt or something went wrong, he would usually cry. Turns out he inherited his mom's sensitivity... "Mommy…..something was definitely wrong with her.." The thought of something happening to his dear Mom filled him with great terror once again. He started shaking What if she's ill, or even worse..she's gonna….. "No , no , that's not possible..." - he shook his little head full of dark , curly hair. - I'm overreacting, just like Yajeh told me - No, no.. don't worry, Greige, Mommy's fine, it's nothing serious,"-Gray said quickly, trying his best to calm his son down, giving him a hug and then kissing him on forehead He knew exactly what was going on with his beloved, in fact, when an excited Juvia came back home one evening and informed him of the pregnancy, he was overjoyed. Soon he will be holding his son or daughter in his arms. Then it hit him. The baby might turn out to be a girl, and Gray had no idea how to take care of girls...Dear God….Ok ,ok.. he still has plenty of time to learn. He can always ask Gajeel about it..yes Gajeel or Alzack...even Elfman ( he would never ask Natsu, even if he's life depended on it, that would be too humiliating for him). Wait...it wasn't his top priority right now. After all, he needs to inform his son about the news first. Neither of them was quite sure how to do it. They remembered very well the situation from a few months ago when the Redfox twins got into an argument. Horrified, Greige stated that being an only child is not that bad, since having siblings meant constant war. Although being honest , Greige never
directly told them that he hates the idea of having a sibling . Considering how much time he spent with Nasha and Elfman and Ever's daughter Ember, or year-old Reiki Fernandes, it would seem that he's perfect for the big brother role. Besides, they can't hide it forever, sooner or later he would notice Juvia's belly. However, the biggest concern for Fullbuster was the fact that such news could lead to a longer conversation, which again could lead to uncomfortable questions that Gray was not ready to answer. He is not going to tell his son about the birds and the bees. No, no, hell no… None of them are ready for this! "Come on Gray, what's wrong with you, you just have to tell him. You've been in worse situations….after all, you've fought with all sorts of criminals, weirdos and monsters ,compared to what you've been through, it's nothing''- thought the ice mage But how to start such a conversation? How about …. -Hey Greige, have you written a letter to Santa yet? "Yes, just ask him what he wants for Christmas and make a few innocent suggestions." -Oh no i didn't, thank you for reminding me Dad. - And tell Daddy, what would you like to ask Santa for? The boy was silent for a moment, most likely to think about the answer, but after a while he called out in a loud voice. -I'D LIKE TO ASK HIM FOR PEACE IN THE WORLD AND FOR EVERY POOR PERSON TO GET A BETTER LIFE AND FOR EVERYONE TO BE HAPPY!..... It would also be nice to get a new plushie……but it's not as important. Do you think Santa can do that?-he asked hopefully Gray stood there for a moment, stunned. His baby was truly an angel...wishing happiness upon the entire world, it nearly made him tear up…. but no... he needed to explain to his son that he should wish for something more....... attainable. -Ooh... really..that's....very nice of you, but...I think that such a wish...yym...takes a bit of time and Santa w-won't be able to do it…., why don't you ask him for….. for example a toy like a teddy bear, figurines....or new books or something else...I don't know.......sibling?... Greige looked at him, like he had just proposed to him to take a walk on the rooftop. Where did that come from? What is dad talking about? S-sibling...?? -Sibling? You mean like a little brother or sister? A baby?- asked the little boy loudly. -Yes, that's exactly what I meant, but well you'll need to wait for a while, because it takes time for a baby to….be ready.- mumbled out Gray - So that's not really a Christmas present- stated boy still visibly shocked -...Well y-yes , but... -But didn't you say mommy has been feeling unwell lately?...If we had a baby, wouldn't it be tiring for her?....Besides, do you think we need a new baby? - asked seriously Greige Why would they need a baby? They were living happily in this house , just three of them. It's not like he dislikes babies , they're cute and all…..but it's just simply weird.. -Well... I wouldn't say it's necessary , but it would be nice to have one at home.. don't you think?....- asked his dad Maybe? -And don't worry about mommy, I am sure that she will be so happy with the new baby , it will make her feel better.- stated Gray , this time with a smile -Hello my darlings- Juvia's voice said suddenly They both turned their heads toward the bedroom's door, finding Juvia's tired but smiling face there. Greige quickly got up and ran toward his mother. -Mommy, are you feeling better? Do you need anything?- said the little boy, hugging her legs. Juvia kissed her son's cheek. -Hi sweetheart, Mommy is fine- she answered while taking a seat next to her precious Gray, giving him a quick kiss on the lips. -Did I hear you talking about babies?- Juvia asked, pretending to be surprised, while giving Gray a tiny smirk. - Daddy said it would be nice to have a baby and that it would make you feel better... - he began. - I don't think a baby is necessary, because it would be a little strange that there will be more of us in the house, but if you really wish for one ,then that's fine with me. -Really? Mommy's glad to hear that.-
replied a happy Juvia , giving her husband a big smile. Gray gave her the same smile, but just when he thought everything had been taken care of, there came the soft voice of his baby boy. - Mommy....Daddy...but you won't love the baby more than me, will you? - asked Greige, with his head lowered and tears in his dark eyes. Both Gray and Juvia stood there very surprised, neither of them had even thought of such a scenario. -Greige, what makes you think that?- asked older Fullbuster. -Sunshine, no...- Juvia hugged her son quickly- You mustn't think like that, we would never stop loving you. Remember darling, parents love all their children equally. - You know, its true that we'll have to spend a lot of time taking care of your brother or sister, but you have to remember that they won't be able to do anything on their own. You were like that when you were born too.- said Gray - I'm sorry. I won't do that again- said Greige seriously. -Do you think I offended the baby? I don't want the baby to think I don't want him or her,- said the terrified boy .What if the baby will always remember this and he will never be forgiven. - Don't worry, honey, I'm sure she won't mind,- said the water mage, stroking her belly. -She?-Gray thought. Turns out his wife wasn't telling him everything... -Wait a minute! -said suddenly Greige after a moment of silence -The baby will be in the tummy, just like Reiki was in Auntie Erza's , right? - Well baby is already there, but your right - answered Gray -Daddy? - Yes buddy ? - How did it get there? Shit. -Yyyy… Horrified, Gray turned his gaze to his wife, silently pleading for help. -You know what, angel? It's almost 8pm, I think it's time for you to take a bath, okay?- proposed Juvia, saving her husband from very uncomfortable talk. - Ok Mommy. Will you read me a bedtime story after we finish? - Of course They were already moving towards the bathroom when Juvia quickly turned towards her husband, gave him a kiss on the cheek and whispered : -You're welcome. Has Gray already mentioned how much he loved his wife?

Magic
History
Brage is the older sibling of Heimdall and the middle child of Birgitta and Soffía Halvorsen. They also have a twin sister, Kára, who was born twenty minutes before them.
From a young age, Brage lacked the feeling of identifying with a gender. While Kára and their friends always seemed to identify with being masculine or feminine, Brage just didn't understand what it meant to be a boy or a girl. When they asked their mothers about it, Brigitta and Soffía explained that some people didn't identify with a gender and that meant they were non-binary.
After that conversation, Brage began using they/them pronouns and once legally old enough had their gender changed to non-binary. Later in life, they also realized that they were asexual and aromantic. Brage had tried dating before but just didn't see the appeal of it, eventually coming to the realization of their sexuality.
But while they may not be interested in romance or sex, they have always been interested in geology. As a kid, they loved collecting rocks and dirt samples. Brigitta had gotten them a child's chemistry set and Brage used it to analyze their samples. This would lead them to pursue a career in geology and they would travel the galaxy collecting and analyzing samples from countless planets.
While they spend a lot of time travelling, they make sure to come home and spend time with their family. During one of their visits, they got a call from their brother just after midnight begging them to come over with the sound of a baby crying in the background. Brage rushed over to Heimdall's house to find him trying to calm down a crying infant.
Brage had more experience with babies than their brother did, so they took the baby and calmed them down while Heimdall explained how the baby appeared. Brage had never seen their brother so distraught, Heimdall is normally a very calm and level-headed man. So they stayed the night and helped Heimdall get the baby comfortable in a makeshift crib until they could get some supplies in the morning.
And that's how Brage met their niece Adalet. They said that that took "surprise baby" to a whole new meaning.
Brage adored their niece and always brought her the prettiest rocks and gems they could find when they visited. They did this especially after her kidnapping to try and make a sense of normality for her. Adalet kept all of the rocks and gems in a special box under her bed and took them with her when she moved to Earth.
They were the person who taught Adalet and Magnus about twins. The children had been wondering why Brage and Kára seemed to share a birthday every year. Brage explained that it was because they are twins, two kids born on the same day with just a minor time difference. Adalet and Magnus, who were only six at the time, realized that they were two kids born on the same day with only a minor time difference and declared that they must be twins.
No one saw the harm in the two believing that idea and assumed they would grow out of it when they were older. Well, no matter how old Adalet and Magnus got, they never outgrew their "twin" connection. Brage thinks that maybe they should have been more specific with their explanation…
Barge was also one of the people who helped Adalet realize she was genderfluid. While they might not identify with any gender, Brage has done a lot of research on gender to help them better understand themselves. So when their niece came to them with questions about her gender, Brage helped explain it to her which led to them discovering that she was genderfluid.
Another time Brage would spend extended time on New Asgard would be for the battle of Ragnarok. They fought alongside their family and friends until the bitter end when the enemy was defeated. However, they would get an arrow to their leg for their effort. The arrow priced a few inches below their knee and almost went straight through it.
They would survive the war but like the rest of the surviving Asgardians did not come out unscathed. Like many Asgardians, Brage developed something known as a fire tumour, a benign tumour that causes burning pain in the affected area and heartburn. If left untreated it can spread and lead to a deadly fever that would burn a person to death from the inside.
Despite the pain they now lived with, Brage would not let it stop them from living their life. They continued their geology work while looking for potential ways to cure the tumours on the side. They also kept an eye out for their sister Kára who had disappeared after the war.
A few years after the war, Brage found Kára on a desolate desert planet. The two got into a huge fight, Brage trying to convince Kára to come home while she told them to stop trying to find her. They exchanged attacks, physical and verbal, that both would come to regret and this would be the last time the twins would see each other until Kára's death.
Events of Criminal Case
Season 3
Brage first appeared in Valhalla Calling Thee after Jack and Fili found a picture of them and Kára at one of the crime scenes. They were saddened to learn about their sister's murder but Kára and Brage hadn't been on speaking terms before her death, so Brage's grief was also fueled by anger against her. After being found innocent of their sister's murder, Brage was volunteered (they call it voluntold) by Heimdall as the one to test Kára's cure for fire tumours. The cure worked and Brage is happy that their sister did one last good deed before she died.

Trivia
I got the inspiration for their personality (and themed puns) from MyFaceHasNumbers (Ticcory)'s comments
They LOVE rock puns, they have one for almost every occasion!
They have one of the largest rock and gem collections in the galaxy
Frankly, the only one that ever seems to be bigger than theirs is the one owned by the Galactic Geology Association
Daca, what Adalet refers to them as is a combination of the Turkish words for Uncle (Dayı & Amca)
Like their brother Heimdall, Brage is also named after a Norse God. In their case, they are named after Bragi the God of poetry
Though they are always correcting people's spelling of their name, "it's Brage with an 'e'."
Growing up they would sometimes borrow their sister's clothes. They don't believe in gendering things like clothes and toys. They've preferred to go with what they like and are comfortable with

I've been rewatching ATLA several times lately and this time I especially ended up wondering a lot about Iroh and Ozai's past and characters in general. I just can't help but think it weird that Ozai is the ultimate trashbag of a humanbeing while Iroh ended up preaching harmony and peace. It just doesn't make any sense. These guys are brothers. They were brought up by the same parents, in the same fascist imperialistic nation, they were taught the same values growing up. You're trying to tell me the difference is that Iroh was destined to be the person he eventually came to be, but Ozai was just born evil? No, I don't think so.
I have two hot takes that I'm gonna elaborate:
1. Iroh had a guidance Ozai lacked
2. Ozai was the less favored son
(Disclaimer: I haven't read the comics yet so I don't know how deep they've already gone into this subject at some point. I'm trying to interpret and analyze the stuff that I got from the animated series only. If anything I say contradicts what has already been confirmed in the comics, feel free to correct me.)
Hear me out. Iroh wasn't born a saint. Everyone is aware of this, especially Iroh himself. He laid siege to Ba Sing Se for 2 years, costing the Fire Nation and Earth Kingdom thousands of lives. Everyone knew that if the Fire Nation took over the capital, it meant almost ultimate victory for the Fire Nation. He even went as far as making a offhand sadistic jokes about burning the city to the ground in that letter to Zuko and Azula.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Iroh acknowledges it himself; He was a different man.
So what changed?
Yes, his son died. It broke and shattered him from the inside, making him drop all efforts to continue fighting in the war. To continue what had been his lifelong ambition, what he believed to be his destiny. He had a literal vision about taking over Ba Sing Se when he was a child, and that had been what he'd been pursuing ever since. But the death of his son managed to crumble all of that into nothingness. How is that possible?
Don't get me wrong. I think it's completely valid. I just don't understand how Lu Ten and Iroh could've had such a loving and caring relationship in the first place, when that's clearly something unusual among the royal family. Ozai burned and banished Zuko without a second thought, not to mention all the other shit he did to him growing up. Ozai didn't give two shits about Azula either, he only ever intended to use her as his weapon. Doesn't seem too surprising, if you ask me. Azulon didn't hesitate to demand that Ozai kill his own son if he wanted the throne. That's the man that raised Ozai, so it's just logical that Ozai learned that behavior and those values from his own father.
Even 9 year old Azula thinks it laughable that Iroh would fall apart at the death of his son. She is a child and this is how she thinks. The reason Zuko doesn't think like this is because he's had the guidance of his mother, unlike Azula. This is the kind of mentality these kids grow up with. They grew up with war and so did Iroh and Ozai.
Tumblr media
So why was Iroh's relationship with Lu Ten so different? Where did Iroh experience the kind of compassion and love he passed on to his own son, that Ozai definitely didn't? People act on how they've come to learn, so where did Iroh learn to care about his son to a point that it made him give up on his lifelong ambition?
Let's review a very crucial information we have on Iroh and Ozai as siblings: They have a huge age gap.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Frankly, I'm guessing about 10-20 years. Looks more like 20 to me, but that could also be Iroh's greater amount of endured pain and war making him look older than he actually is. But no one can deny that an age gap is definitely there. Which can also indicate they had different upbringings, despite having grown up in the same family as brothers.
What does this mean? Well, that's just me theorizing now, but I can definitely imagine that Iroh had someone, a family member maybe, there for him who wasn't around or didn't care to be when Ozai grew up. There must've been someone there who gave Iroh emotional security and guidance throughout his upbringing. Who? That's up to imagination. A friend of the family? A friendly uncle? His own mother ((or father))? (The last two things worked out for Zuko in the end, didn't they?) Otherwise I can't really explain myself why Iroh had enough values to love the way he loved Lu Ten, while Ozai clearly didn't give two fucks about his children at any point in his life.
Iroh was the firstborn son, the one who had a vision very early in his life that his destiny was to take over Ba Sing Se. Probably the one who got to have a family member care about him enough to show him how to love.
Tumblr media
(I like to point this out a lot because I find it very interesting, and very significant. Please A:TLA give us more info on Iroh's past!!)
Which brings me to my second take: Ozai was the less favored son.
Iroh was clearly a son to be proud of. He was a master firebender, the "Dragon of the West", if you will. He apparently had a vision as a boy that he'd conquer the most "impenetrable city" in the world. He probably lived up to his parent's expectations for his whole life, especially having no sibling to be compared to for a significant part of his life. He broke through the outter wall of Ba Sing Se during his siege. Yada yada yada, you get my point. He's the best son they could've wished for.
And Ozai? As far as I know, he barely even has any military achievements. Taking over Ba Sing Se was Azula's doing. While Iroh laid siege to the capital, he was at home chilling in the palace. He's the younger brother to an established hero and was never meant to be firelord. Now, I haven't read the comics for more info on Ozai's biography, but this man barely had a chance to live up to his parent's standards with Iroh as an older brother. If my theory is correct, Ozai also didn't have any person to provide him emotional guidance throughout his life. (*cough* like Azula)
The logical outcome is: infinite jealousy.
And when Ozai suggests to Azulon that he revoke Iroh's birthright to become firelord, this is Azulon's answer:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Azulon doesn't even hesitate to call Ozai out on his bullshit. He doesn't hesitate to take offense at the suggestion of betraying Iroh, and he even seems to care about Iroh's suffering. Not to mention that Azulon is overall annoyed with Ozai's request for an audience and sends the rest of Ozai's family away as soon as he can, to get whatever it is Ozai wants over with.
I could also mention the fact that Ozai tried to impress Azulon with his daughter's skills (Azula, even named after him) and the overall strained relationship these two seem to exhibit. It's obviously very different from Azulon's relationship with Iroh, if the way he talks about said man is anything to show for.
What if Azulon treated Ozai the same way Ozai treated Zuko? (Probably without the physical abuse, but you get my point.) What if this is where Ozai learned to treat a "useless" kid like shit, maybe also in a way to cope with how he was treated himself?
Getting deeper into the fact that Ozai is rather a loser compared to Iroh, without any big military achievements and without value for anything beyond that, this also explains a lot about Ozai's constant need to establish his dominance.
First; Becoming Firelord through radical manners (you know, killing his own son or killing his own father)
Second; Publicly burning and banishing his own son whom he considers a weakling, who dared to speak up in his war room. Doing this to have everyone know that he doesn't associate himself with weakness and that he will not ever tolerate any form of disrespect.
Third; The whole Phoenix King act. No one can tell me this isn't a madman's doing. This is literally to show off that he is the most powerful person in the world.
Ozai is so obsessed with proving himself and his superiority to everyone, including himself and probably Iroh too. This makes most sense if we consider that he probably lived in his brother's shadow for his whole life, ignored by probably every guiding figure he's ever had in his life, maybe even considered a laughingstock by his own father.
Perhaps this is also the reason Ozai didn't have any problem with Iroh accompanying Zuko in banishment. His brother, the hero in whose shadow he grew up, and his son, the failure he'd wanted out of the way for a long time already. It would erase Iroh's image that made him superior to him, once and for all. For himself and the world. I believe that branding him a traitor was the biggest satisfaction Ozai had ever experienced in his life.
I absolutely despise Ozai with every fibre of my heart, but it amazes me how ATLA continues to leave so much room for interpretation and explanation for a character as despicable as him. Writing this, even had me feel sympathy for him at some point. Feel free to disagree with me or add anything, I'm eager to hear everyone's thoughts about Ozai and Iroh's backstories because I'm geniuinely very curious.
