I'm not sure if you're the type of person who needs specific questions when asked about OCs, bit if not, feel free to just use this as an excuse to ramble about those gremlins

YAY I GET TO RAMBLE ABOUT THE LIL GUYS!!!! i'll do a basic overview for now and if anyone wants to ask specific questions feel free! (when i say features, i write them as kemonomimis aka humans w animal ears and tails so thats what i mean by that.)

let's start with emerald (aka em or emmie) - she's the child of splendont and shifty biologically but they consider all three their parents (they call splendont papa, shifty dada / dad, and lifty mama / mom because he's more okay with that) and she is definitely shifty's child. she's stubborn and impulsive and energetic. she talks a lot and reminds them of how shifty used to be before Shit Went Wrong. She's protective of her siblings and is generally the ringleader when it comes to any shenanigans. she will also wake them up at 3 am just because she wants to bug them. green hair, red eyes, and squirrel features.

ruby (roo or bee) is splendont and lifty's biological child and more a mix between the two of them. as a kid, lifty didn't talk much and let shifty do it more, and splendont also wasn't a big talker. was more observant and calm. ruby is like a mix of that. he's inquisitive and asks a lot of questions, like to learn things, and he lets emerald do a lot of the talking while he just observes. emerald was a very active baby, but he was less so which gave lifty a lot of anxiety, but he was fine just didn't feel like it. he and emerald are also born on the same day dfkjkdfkjdf. em was also a loud fussy baby and ruby was quiet, would stare at things. they were named after the twins' late mother, jewel. they (and baby sister) also do have some of splendont's powers as well but i've not yet decided which ones. he's got red hair and gold eyes and raccoon features.

later on lifty has selena (lena), named after their aunt selene. she's also a fussy baby and has a stage where she pretends to be a wolf or cat or something. probably ends up a warrior cats kid. she's very cuddly and clingy as a kid, i think, and stubborn like her sister. as she grows up she actually takes after shifty with his hotheadedness (emerald stays energetic and cheerful and sweet), but stays very clingy. very much a family and friends person. she ahs red hair, red eyes, and raccoon features.

i don't know if they have any more at this point in time, but if they do i want them to have midnight blue hair like their late father and selene do because lifty and shifty are like jewel copy-pasted. i might change selena's hair though? who knows.

as for the one splendid x flippy / supertroopers baby, dazzle! ...i dont have as much for her but i think she's a very angelic girl who doesn't like to use her powers. i think she might be athletic though. an athletic bookworm because of flippy and splendid also being bookworms. she gets along with her cousins well (especially bc the potential Full House situation in oblvion). a mediator and a sweetheart. she has cyan hair, green eyes, and bear features.

the final fankid (so far) just has a name. sniffles x nutty (I ALMOST WROTE SNUFFLES)... skittles. this is a reference to the mpreg is real chapter of the chatfic and bc i think it's cute. i'm thinking about a boy because ruby is the only boy so far.

Sometimes I HC that his wife is still alive but they’re divorced. She fights him over child custody a lot.

2. Any pairings I ship them with.

Pop x Disco Bear. Headcanon that they dated in college before/the start of Disco becoming famous. They ended up breaking up (reason is situational, usually its either Disco getting caught up in the limelight, Disco cheating, Pop falling in love with Cub’s mom, etc.) and they got back together some time after Pop has Cub.

I see people ship Pop x Flippy so I that’s alright too. I headcanon Fliqpy having a soft spot for Cub that I forgot to mention before.

3. What kind of music/artists I’d think they’d listen to.

All he wants to do is lay down and relax to some Frank Sinatra and Michael Buble.

Hi flippy!!! So I think that Hopper would be a amazing father for Billy, what do you think?

Oh yeah, I love surrogate Good Dad Hopper for Billy! Imagine Hopper trying to get through to him, Billy’s struggling, not hurting anyone but angry. Hopper’s hands are tied because Billy won’t cop to anything about Neil and even if he did well it’s the 80′s, child abuse is much less criminalized. Hopper sees a telling moment in public, keeps a mean eye on Neil Hargrove. Gets a chance to say to Billy, “Listen, you can come by my place. If you need somewhere to go, I mean.” Billy’s gotten closer to Steve at this point, considers going there but he can’t bear to yet, doesn’t want Steve’s pity, at least not yet. 

So one night Billy show up at Hopper’s place, but he won’t say what’s happened. Billy’s walking a little tenderly, but his face isn’t bruised or anything. Billy feels like a live wire, out of his element. Hopper tries to act like this is no big deal, offers him dinner and a coke. But then there’s weird quiet girl about Max’s age. who looks at him like she already knows him. Billy feels better when he goes there. He doesn’t tell anyone about it. Eleven tells him she likes his earring and that makes him smile.

Billy starts hanging out at Hopper’s a lot, they talk sports, he just hangs out.

Then one night they’re all watching TV, eating dinner, and Billy fits in so well suddenly that Hopper just plain forgets and says “El, would you pass the salt?”

The salt’s on the other side of the room. Then it’s not. Then it’s floating across the room into Hopper’s waiting hand. 

Billy drops his fork. Hopper says, “Oh…”

El says, “Oh.”

Billy says, “Um…what the hell?”

BUT THEN IMAGINE THAT HOPPER GIVES HIM A VAGUE IDEA OF WHAT’S GOING ON WITH EL BUT DOESN’T HAPPEN TO MENTION THAT BILLY’S NEW FRIEND STEVE HARRINGTON KNOWS TOO MUCH LESS MAX. AND BILLY DOESN’T SAY A WORD TO STEVE OR MAX, FEELS SO PROTECTIVE OF EL AND THEN IT MAKES HIM FEEL DIFFERENTLY ABOUT MAX AND HE REALIZES HE WAS PROTECTIVE OF HER IN ALL THE WRONG WAYS BEFORE.

Like one night some monster shit goes down, Hopper leaves the cabin, and maybe like Steve shows up at Hopper’s while Eleven is Idk seeing into the Upside Down and whatever she’s seeing is making her freak out. Billy is kind of guarding her (not that she needs a guard but she’s freaking out right now and Hopper told him to look out for her). Steve drives up

IT’S AN EXACT REVERSE OF THE BYERS.

Billy comes down the steps. “Harrington? What’re you doing here?”

“I could ask you the same thing.”

Billy gets deja vu. They both do. But it’s not going to down that way again if Billy has anything to say about it. He finds now he actually wants to do right by Hopper and Eleven because he trusts them in a way he never trusted his own family since his mother.

“Steve.” Billy never calls him Steve so it must be important. “Look, we’re friends okay. But I need you to go.”

Steve doesn’t want to be suspicious but he can’t help but be a little suspicious.

“Billy, what the hell are you doing here? You gotta tell me what’s going on? I…I know shit okay…”Billy squints at that when all of a sudden from inside Eleven screams, “BILLYYY!!!” Because Idk she just saw an army of demogorgons making for a portal to our world or something.

Billy and Steve both go racing. “Shit,” Steve says. “Eleven? Are you okay?”

Billy’s like, “You know her?”

“I told you, “Steve says, “I know shit. We’re in this together alright?”

Billy nods. 

When it’s all over Hopper finds Billy. Hugs him. Billy’s a little stiff at first, relaxes into it for just a second, is not used to easy fatherly affection on any level.

“You did real good, Billy,” Hopper says. Claps him on the shoulder. “I’m proud of you.”

Billy nods, doesn’t say anything. He totally doesn’t find somewhere to choke back tears because dad said he was proud of him.
