They have their own little musical motif!
The season started with Kevin ditching his and Hiromi's pseudo date to help Hamster and Gretel, so it would be a good bookend if Kevin misses this date too.
Also Professor Exclamation now knows who Kevin is... and if Lauren is there and she ALSO knows who Kevin is we definitely should be getting some sort of identity reveal.
