Ok so thoughts on jojo part pacing:
Phantom Blood legit has such good pacing and the action never gets boring although I think that's because it's only 44 chapters
Battle Tendency's pacing is really good although I feel like they could have drawn it out a bit to give the characters more attention (not that they don't have good personalities bc I feel they do but I just wish there was more time to get to know them)
Stardust Crusaders- ok maybe hot take but the pacing for SDC is so so so fucking slow. Like the fights (even in the anime) feel like they drag on forever and as much as I really like getting to know the characters well, it goes on for far too long imo
Diamond is Unbreakable- no secret but I feel the pacing is really good for this, the beginning part isn't as much dragging on bc the villain isn't introduced until a bit later on and when he is, the pace speeds up accordingly. The anime making the Thursday July 15th episode intertwining the arcs keeps the pace really fast and good
Vento Aureo- I love this part but the pacing is way too fast, the fact the part takes place around a week in universe time just doesn't give us enough time to get to know the characters well enough and the villain was introduced a bit too late imo
Stone Ocean- imo the pacing for this part is really good, keeping the fights not too long but also giving character growth time as well as time to see the villains motives and why he is an actual threat
Steel Ball Run- biased extremely but the pace feels really good. The main threat, just like w DIU isn't introduced until a bit later although Funny Valentine was built up since his very first appearance and how the goal was more centered around the race than fighting someone kept things paced nicely. There was plenty of time for characters to grow and change and for you to learn about the world
Jojolion- it begins kinda slow but as soon as the group (keeping vague bc spoilers and ik not everyone is caught up) is introduced, it goes from family stuff and character growth to honestly a really good pace that keeps things good for character growth and also villain fear although the organization itself being the big villain of this part was an interesting thing to do!
