Now entering 1963, we're the sound of the decade start to solidify. Many future heavy-hitters of the decade made their debuts in the Billboard Year-End 100 this year. This is still before the popularity of Motown Records in the mainstream (although, the label was founded in 1958), but we're already seeing acts reminiscent of their 60's sound. I should also mention that this top ten isn't the list that was published in the December 1963 edition of Billboard Magazine. Rather, I'm using a later list that was compiled using additional data. That feels too vague for my liking and I'm currently working on finding the details (I'll update this post if I find anything). But this seems to be the generally-agreed upon list, so that's the one I'm going with. My apologies for robbing Surfin' U.S.A. of its number 1 spot. This also won't be the last time we deal with these "updated lists."

Can a Sasquatch actually dive underwater?

A fanfic featuring the Three Wolves and the Divin' Wolf Pups

When you're a pack of dive-mad wolves setting up a lakeside camp somewhere in the Cascades of Washington State as happens to be a ten-mile hike from Civilisation just seeking to try the diving experience in a somewhat idyllic and at once unknown lake, relying mostly on dehydrated foods in deference to the environment, such must probably be the last question on lupine minds such as these.

Or was it?

Especially after a juvenile specimen of Sasquatch came into the tent of our lupine diving party on probably the second evening of the whole, meaning no harm all the while, bringing up the likelihood of their being indirectly curious as to "what lies beneath" the lake to hand. Even if its chilly waters meant the likelihood of wearing wetsuits all the more while diving for the sake of warmth.

And the next morning after breakfast, who else but the Divin' Wolf Pups of Bon-Bon (Loopy De Loop's cheeky nephew) and Ding-a-Ling (doting compadre of Hokey Wolf) could have made the proverbial initial discovery to end initial discoveries towards such an end, that of a tweenish female Sasquatch breath holding her way into the lake, as if it were some sort of relaxation ritual. Joined not long afterward by her boyfriend of the Sasquatchian persuasion, the two ultimately seen playing around with each other.

Which even Mildew Wolf could hardly believe was likely, Sasquatch diving underwater in parts such as they consider home ... but even then, there were bound to be times during such a short break when even Loopy De Loop's charm offensive could prove irresistable unto such specimens of Sasquatch who managed to go diving in such frigid-feeling waters, and liking it. Never mind that some were rather young and playful and tended at times to rather bizarre sexual play and experimentation.

Not to mention some GoPro footage which, beforehand, was bound to be the talk around the campfire that evening over the inevitable mugs of instant coffee: A young Sasquatch male just realising his own sexual imminence by way of a spontaneous soft erection such as was bound, for the sake of Sasquatch sexual fascination, to lead to masturbation. "And let's just hope," Hokey was quick to remark, "that he doesn't go blind, insane, epileptic--"

Which had "ze good wolf" noting that such dire warnings about the Consequences of Masturbation have been disproven, and are probably unlikely to happen among Sasquatch. "Come to think of it," Loopy De Loop remarked, "that Sasquatch as played with himself must probably be learning some things himself."

"How else could it be?" was how Mildew Wolf rejoindered.

But even then, you had to wonder how the lupine party could manage to sleep with the mating cries of Sasquatch, perhaps engaging in sex for the pleasure of it, being evident as far as 20 miles distant. Or even imagining Sasquatch trying to "rassle" the wolves, unaware that such was more or less good-natured and that said Sasquatch had designs on showing them the lake's fascinating underside.

All in all, when the GoPro footage was processed and uploaded showing Sasquatch underwater ... not even Peter Potamus, with whom the video was shared, could believe such was likely. In fact, Peter Potamus couldn't resist laughing at the sight of seeing Sasquatch underwater and managing to turn out unscathed. Even when aroused.
