Borderlands #1 - Losing You
Scenario: The Calypso Twins (Separate) open a vault but don't realise the danger they put you in.
Characters: Tyreen Calypso, Troy Calypso
Warnings: angst, mentions of gore, mentions of blood, mentions of death, guilt
Masterlist
My Ko-fi
----------------------
TYREEN CALYPSO
They finally opened a vault without the vault thiefs getting in their way.
Troy had been stood beside her to her right and you to her left. You looked to her as if she had placed the stars in the sky, so much pride and hope. All for her.
And she had mimicked these looks back at you.
Until it wasn't there, and instead replaced with fear, hurt, disappointment. Until the light drained from your eyes. Until you were gone.
The Vault monster's claws sheathed within your ribcage while your intestines pour out from the lower slices through you.
She leeches the Vault monster without a single word spoken. Her anger is silent and quickly subsides when she sees your corpse hit to floor finally
Troy wasn't close to you but he respectfully bows his head, the cov followers do the same. Tyreen grits her teeth and stands up away from you.
"Let's go. We have what we need."
And then she leaves. Without you. Without what she actually needed.
TROY CALYPSO
You came with him to the Jakobs Estate, Aurelia tried to put the moves on him but you weren't letting that slide. Unless you could join.
He ran off after the last Jakobs and you ran to make sure the Vault Thiefs didn't get you.
But they did.
A little before getting to Aurelia.
Troy found you in the gardens, bullet wounds all over. Blood seeping past your lips. Skin pale. Eyes faded. Jaw bruised.
He yells out in anguish and rushes to you. He drops to his knees.
Nobody is around to help you, no cult members, no Tyreen, nobody.
He gathers you up into his arms and sobs into your chest. Tears flowing freely and eventually into your wounds, but you do not feel the stinging that you would normally feel from salty tears entering a wound.
You're already gone.
You were what grounded him. Kept him from snapping at Tyreen. Kept him from hurting important members of the cult. You protected him when he needed it. You gave him praise for simply being himself.
He loved--no. He loves you. He'll continue loving you until the day he dies. In fact, he can't wait.
He wants your smile, your laughter, your warmth. But all he receives is a cadaver as cold as Windshear Waste.
"I'm sorry, Y/n. I love you I love you I love you..." His babbling is all that can be heard for the rest of the night in the Jakobs Garden.

Platonic yandere siren twins and half sibling reader who's secretly working with the crimson raiders
Taglist: @yanderefangirl and someone who didn't request to be on the taglist, @plague-cure
"How fucking dare you?" is the main thing crossing their minds when they find out what you've done. But this?
This?
This is worse than the time when they found out they had a HALF-Sibling, even if that sibling [you] ended up being one of the greatest things in their life, they were still mad at their father 'forgetting' their mother and getting with another woman.
But working with the Crimson Raiders? They understand you might be throwing a temper-tantrum, but that's too far.
They are so upset, they personally teleport to you and ruin the bandit camp. Anyone who was there is dead now, screams of pain as faces are melted off, that camp is nothing more than ashes now.
Tyreen grips your face, struggling with her anger to not dust you accidentally, while Troy prepares a spot where you're going to be a nice doll and sit while COV propaganda is blasted into your ears.
Anything they might have had at the Crimson Raiders that was positive is dashed to pieces now so tiny a microscope can't pick it up. They want the Crimson Raiders to BURN.

I think something platonic with the Calypsos would be cool! Maybe you all became friends on the ECHOnet as kids before they started streaming?
Internet Friends
Platonic Calypso Twins x Gender Neutral Reader
I’m so sorry it took me forever to write this! I’m a dummy who’s bad at time management. It wasn’t specified if this was a oneshot or headcanons, so I just wrote a oneshot, but I liked how this turned out so I might come back and write another part for this. I don’t remember if the Calypsos had access to the ECHOnet as kids since it’s been a minute since I’ve played through Borderlands 3, but we’re just going to assume they did lol
Content: Platonic fic, takes place before the events of Borderlands 3
SPOILER WARNING! Slight spoilers for Borderlands 3 and the Calypso Twins’ backstories.
Your phone couldn’t seem to stop vibrating because of the sudden influx of messages from two of your internet friends, a set of twins who looked to the ECHOnet to save them from the boredom of their lives, at least, that’s what they told you. You spent an amount of your time online, talking to them about everything there was to talk about, and they kept in touch with you often, creating a group chat between the three of you to talk in.
‘hey’
‘hey’
‘hey’
‘heyyyyyyyyy’
‘u should get online’
‘nd settle a fight between me n troy’
‘bc this idiot thinks pineapple belongs on pizza’
Tyreen blew up your Echo Device as she often did, desperate to get your attention. The heavy hand unit never seemed to stop buzzing, even as you picked it up, only now you were being bombarded by both twins.
‘ty is a LIAR’
‘that is NOT what we were fighting abt’
‘and my pizza opinions have NOTHING to do with this’
‘I SWEAR SHES LYING’
‘plz get on’
‘i need another voice of reason’
This was a very common occurrence, you can’t even begin to count the number of times you’ve been dragged into their weird arguments with absolutely zero context, but it was always fun to watch how passionate they were about these weird disagreements. Ready to join in and get some context, you typed into the group chat you shared with the twins.
‘whats this abt troy liking pineapple on pizza?’
It only took a few seconds for Troy to respond, Tyreen following shortly after.
'‘THATS NOT WHAT I SAID TY IS LYING TO YOU’
‘nuh uh he totally said that’
‘did not’
‘ok he basically said that’
‘basically and totally arent the same thing’
The conversation was taken over by Troy and Tyreen again until you typed back.
‘wait ok so what did troy say?’
‘all i said was that pineapple on pizza can still be valid if you dont like it’
Tyreen was quick to respond, excited by what she assumed was an admission from Troy.
‘y’know who would say that? people who like pineapple on pizza’
‘I NEVER SAID I LIKE IT I JUST SAID ITS VALID’
‘HOW IS IT VALID???? IT’S AN ABOMINATION TO PIZZA’
‘LISTEN SOME PEOPLE JUST LIKE A BIT OF SWEETNESS TO THEIR PIZZA’
‘ARE YOU SEEING THIS (Y/N)??? IM TELLING YOU HE LIKES PINEAPPLE ON PIZZA’
The chat continued to be flooded with messages of Tyreen accusing Troy of liking pineapple on pizza, while Troy tried his best to explain himself, though you weren’t really sure if he was desperate to make Tyreen believe him, or if he was actually hiding the possibility of him liking pineapple on pizza. The world may never know.
‘whenever we meet up we gotta get troy some pineapple pizza and settle this’
‘YESSS THATS SUCH A GOOD IDEA’
Tyreen typed back excitedly, loving the suggestion, much to Troy’s chagrin you assumed.
‘im not eating pineapple on pizza for you weirdos’
‘besides’
‘even if i would’
‘its not like dad would ever let us go see you’
‘he definitely wouldn’t let you come see us either’
‘not like you could find us anyhow’
Oh. That’s right. You’d nearly forgotten. They’d mentioned before that their dad refused to let them go out. Something about him being super protective of them. Well, even if it wasn’t possible, it was a fun idea to imagine, spending actual, in-person, time with the twins. You would be able to see them face-to-face and fulfill all the other weird plans that stemmed from the strange but fun conversations you had with the twins. They’d told you that it was unrealistic to ever actually see each other, but you still held on to that slight hope that maybe one day you’d be able to finally meet them.
Tyreen texted back.
‘ugh thats right’
‘mannnn’
‘its not like he can actually keep us here all our lives’
‘even if he tried’
‘he won’t be able to stop us >:)’
‘we’ll be so sneaky nd run away’
‘and then we’ll come see u’
‘waddya think troy?’
‘i guess…’
‘but i do wanna see (y/n)’
Tyreen was often playful when she talked with you and Troy, but you wondered if any part of her was serious about that. About running away from her father with Troy. Your thoughts were interrupted as your ECHO device vibrated once again, this time a message from Troy.
‘OH UR NEVER GONNA BELIEVE WHAT TYREEN DID LAST NIGHT’
‘SO SHE GOT UP LAST NIGHT CAUSE SHE GOT HUNGRY’
‘AND’
‘TROY DON’T YOU DARE FINISH THAT STORY’

Hey can u please do girl dad Matt fics and he has twin girls who are like 14 or 15 and when one gets a bf he realises that he’s getting old🤍
Idk if that makes any sense 😭
Time Flies By
-M.S
Synopsis; Matt and you have two beautiful girls together. He was now in his mid/early thirties, as you were, and your two girls were growing up, but Matt only realized when they both came home with new news.
Pairing; Dad!Matt Sturniolo X Mom!Fem Reader
Warnings: Cussing
You were laying down with Matt on your couch, cuddling into his side, when you heard the front door open and shut, signifying that your twin girls were home from school. Chris and Nick waddled into your vision, before your girls. The two had agreed to pick the girls up from school today, so it wasn’t anything that worried you.
“Okay, you two. Sit up.” Chris demanded, and your eyebrows furrowed as you turned to look at Matt, who seemed to have the same reaction as you had. You listened, however, becoming slightly worried. Had something happened with your girls?
You began searching the living room with your eyes, finding Nick escorting both seemingly nervous girls over. Had they gotten in trouble? Lilah, the older one was biting her lips. Something she only did when she was anxious. Olivia, however, looked calm. Confident, almost.
Lilah looked over at Olivia, who then nodded.
“I have a boyfriend.” Olivia smiles, and both your’s and Matt’s jaw dropped.
“I have a girlfriend..” Lilah mumbles. You and Matt couldn’t be more shocked.
“Yeah!” Chris giggles, jumping around as if he had just won the lottery. “Thats my girls!” He cheers. Causing both girls to smile.
“Um.. For how long?” Matt asks shyly- as if he wasn’t talking to his own children. Lilah speaks up first this time.
“A year.” She states. “For me. Not Liv.” She looks to Liv as Matt and your eyes widen.
“Today, actually. He asked me out today.” Liv hummed.
“Oh.” You hum. You were enthralled, but you were worried at the same time. You didn’t want either of your girls getting hurt, but you trusted them.
“C’mon! Show some enthusiasm!” Nick groans, gently shoving Matt’s shoulder.
“Holy fuck i’m old!” Matt laughs, breaking the tension. He stands up, to walk over to his girls, pulling them both into a reassuring hug.
“Why didn’t you tell us sooner, Lils?” He questioned, and she shrugged.
“I would’ve, but.. Since I have a girlfriend I was worried you wouldn’t accept me.” She hummed, and your heart broke. You hated that she felt like she couldn’t come to you. “But since Liv decided she wanted to tell you guys, I felt like I should, too.” Matt frowns.
“Aw, baby.” He coos. “You know i’ll love you, no matter what. I love all of you.” He smiles, ruffling Lilah’s hair.
“Yeah, yeah. We know.” She shakes her head.
Matt hums, looking back at you, who was still sitting on the couch.
“Y’know this makes us old now, right?” Matt smirks, and you fake gasp.
“I’ll never be old. How dare you, Matthew.” You place your hand on your heart while scoffing. You made your way to Matt, gently shoving him out of the way, hugging both girls, as he did earlier.
You wouldn’t lie, this did make you come to the realization of how old you two were getting, but it wasn’t anything you couldn’t handle. You were together, and you had both of your beautiful girls. You had an amazing family. Thats all you need.

Metal Roses
Leo Valdez x Daughter of Jupiter! Reader
Description: Leo's been in love with Jason's twin sister for months. It's been too long, and now he's ready to finally tell her.
*****************************************************************************
Leo had saved Calypso. Just as he promised that he would.
But while cruising the skies headed to Camp Half-Blood after months apparently, he could only focus on the thought of you. He was gonna tell you.
He had spent all those months so afraid. Of you rejecting him, forsaken him, abandoning him.
But death has an odd way of putting things in perspective. You're one of his greatest friends and you'd never shun him. Whatever you felt and whatever be felt, the two of you would face it together. It would be alright.
He just needed to tell you. Couldn't run away anymore.
At first, he justified his secret by saying it would be weird for him to ask his best friend's twin out, Jason might disapprove; but turns out that Jason was totally chill apparently his sister's love life wasn't his business and he trusted Leo.
But then during the quest, you had this laser focus, and there was so much going on at every moment that he couldn't find the right time to tell you.
And then he was planning on dying (and resurrecting) so he couldn't tell you then. What kinda guy would he be if he told you and then just left? It was all for the greater good though, he'd take the death path if it saved you and Jason.
But now, now.
He'd outsmarted the prophecy, there were no major imminent deaths looming over them. He rehearsed what he wanted to say a hundred times, and the metal roses he twisted to shape were ready.
Festus feels warm under his hands as the cold evening air rushes past him. He remembers the time you had lifted him up into the air, his cheeks heat up with the memory, unsure with what he found more attractive: the strength and ease with which you lifted him, the close proximity to you, you in your element, or you smiling so so brightly. And that beautiful silly laugh.
You had told him that you planned on sticking around the Greeks after the war so Camp Half-Blood was a good place to start his search for you.
And wow, the Camp has gone through the works.
Apollo is human and unsurprisingly invited trouble. Everyone has mild to moderate symptoms of hay fever, Nico— Nico, his favourite grumpy little emo Italian is dating Will? Wow; Percy paid the Camp a visit, he's like almost a proper college kid now.
He tries to pay attention to whatever Percy and all say to him as the campers take their turns to sucker punch him. Completely overkill but not entirely undeserved. But his eyes keep shifting, scanning the crowd to spot you.
But there aren't any electric Grace-typical eyes in his view.
"Hey– uh, what are the other's up to now?" He asks.
Percy huffs brightly, giving him the rundown on Annabeth's whereabouts. He always looks so in love, Leo realises he looks like that when he talks about you, he hopes you'll look like that for him too. Percy tells him about Frank and Hazel (at Camp Jupiter, they're doing well last I heard from them), and Piper, and her family's struggles at the moment and Jason is at a boarding school (oh yeah, they broke up).
Now that Leo thinks about it, Percy is a little bit of a gossip queen.
That's when he realises that his buddy left out one person–
"And, uh, what about the Lady Grace?" He asks, laughing a little.
Percy's smile dims though, and huh, okay. Weird.
He looks at Leo, suddenly quiet and pained.
"You haven't heard?"
"Heard what?"
"Leo, we uh– we had two casualties out of the eight of us in the battle," Percy's gaze becomes distant and he looks so much older than he is, "you were one but the uh, the sec– (y/n), was the second."
What?
No. No. No. No.
"Is this a joke? No way. She was safe."
But Percy wouldn't lie about this.
"I'm sorry," Percy says, and Leo looks to Chiron and Nico and Will and they– they're telling the truth, "the had her funeral at Camp Jupiter. A warrior and a hero's funeral."
Angry tears fill his eyes and he refuses to let them fall as he nods mutely. He doesn't believe them. Won't. Not until he meets Jason and Jason tells him. Leo needs to know for sure. Because you couldn't've died. No way.
Only
He reaches Jason to learn that Jason's dead.
Two of his favourite people are dead. And he didn't get to say goodbye to either of them.
The roses in his tool belt are squished and bent out of shape. And Leo reaches the horrible conclusion that he never really outsmarted the prophecy. Since he found a way to live, the Fates had to endure the twins died.
He learns about the urn with your ashes that were kept. And he learns about the wishes of the children of Jupiter to have their ashes scattered in the same place– a meadow filled with sunflowers, close to Camp.
Leo dreams of you all those nights. He's not sure if this is a real vision of you or his demented cursed brain at work. You keep smiling and he tries to tell you he loves you but somehow his voice doesn't reach you and every night you fly further away from him.
He burns the roses and the memory of his stupid rehearsed speech.

Tunnel Vision
Pairing: Troy Calypso x Siren Vault Hunter Reader
Genre/warnings: Slight Borderlands 3 spoilers, angst to fluff, swearing, violence, mutual comfort, slightly out of character, not proof.-read 😭
Summary: After finally making your way to one of the last vaults, you now have to face one of your biggest challenges yet. But luckily this “challenge” has a weak spot for you, that even he doesn’t realize.
Two steps onto the Sanctuary’s cold metal floors, just like the good days. Unfortunately, this time on the ship had a good possibility of being your last. You head up to the deck, Lilith insists to say your goodbyes to the others and you do so. Claptrap, Ava, Tannis, even Marcus. They all knew what could happen, but you’re a vault hunter, if they really didn’t trust you going to hells door, they would’ve said so.
Back in the day, before they tried to become gods, you were extremely close to the Calypso Twins, especially Troy. You two bonded over the fact that you were extremely strong and as cold as you appeared to many, to him you were a shining star in his lonely world. His sister never really got along with him then, always avoided the “parasite”, but you gave him a safe space. You two didn’t need anything else except each other to survive. That was until you disappeared, no one knew why except for you. Something happened, after visiting a nearby graveyard you found a glowing crystalline structure coming from the only living tree. Curious, you went up to it, lo and behold it turned you into a monster. Once you made contact with the glowing crystal, the light it sourced flowed through your veins. You didn’t know what happened but you looked different. You were still you, of course, but you felt odd. You felt as though you needed to get away from this nothingness planet and as unfortunate as it was the shitty people who inhabited it. All you did was leave a note at the Calypso’s door, and leave. You felt only a slight hint of remorse, but it when the paper hit the dirtied concrete floor, it was far too late to turn back. You forever masked yourself and used as much armor you could, hoping it would ward off the past.
Now, you’re an infamous Vault Hunter- and a newly branded siren. This is what the calling was, you finally made yourself into what you wanted to be. The crash came when the twins made their way back into your life, by stealing Lilith’s. She was alive, thank the stars, but they took her siren powers, and to her they were everything. They didn’t realize who you were, or at least you thought. When being confronted by the COV’s minions you couldn’t help but notice an unfamiliar glint in Troy’s eyes. One that was broken, frustrated, yet somehow longing still. You feel as though he knew it was you all along. This broke you, it didn’t seem like it, but you’d never forget.
Days passed, weeks felt like eternity, and you’re now going on the hunt to kill the twins who found you. Ironic, isn’t it? This hurt, as much as it shouldn’t you can’t help but feel as though you were to blame in all of this. If you didn’t leave, maybe they wouldn’t try to destroy the universe. If you didn’t leave, maybe you could’ve lived a happy life with Troy, as much as Tyreen hated the idea of you two together. You wouldn’t need the money, or the help, just family. You breathe out deeply, exiting the sanctuary for what could be the last time.
Tannis took over their turrets before you and the others race through their barricades to wipe the COV out. Blood, bodies and profanities being thrown around like the best party in pandora. Once you meet up with Ava, she gets you into the base and helps you blow up their statute covering one of the final vault entrances. She salutes you before you part your ways. You slide down the concrete ramp as you’re faced with Try draining Tyreen to power the laser that’s currently trying to destroy the moon.
“Well, well, well, look what we got here! Finally, the vault thief in the flesh. You’re just in time, Tyreens tied up a bit to watch your agonizing demise!” Your hand hovers over your weapon “Troy, we don’t have to do this.” He scoffs “oh yeah, why not?” He starts to circle you, like a hungry vulture “This isn’t you, and while you may not believe me, I understand. You just need to stop this, take this one chance.” He groans and rolls his eyes at the statement “There is nothing to understand besides the fact that we’re gonna become gods, and you’re gonna be a pile of mush!” He lunges at you before you run past him “God, why won’t you just die, Vault Theif!” You groan and take off your mask, though you’re tattered and bruised, he could never forget a face like yours. “…You-You’re alive? I thought- No, why?!” He stands in place petrified before his knees buckle under him and he drops. You slowly walk over to him as he stares at your feet in dispair before he whispers “…Why did you leave?” You sit down in front of him with the same soulless expression on your face “I’m not sure, I think I just felt like- like I needed a purpose. I get it if you’re angry with me.” You take your weapons off, and lay them to the side “I would be too, Troy.” The way his name rolls off your tongue like honey opens his heart more. “I’m.. I’m not sure how to feel.” His eyes blink around, still avoiding you. You carefully put a hand out and he looks up “Come with me Troy, please.” His brows furrow “It’s too late, no matter what I do I’m gonna end up a god without you, or in prison without you. I hate how much you dictate my decisions, but I can’t let you go again.” He holds your hand and grips it gently “I won’t let anything happen to you, Troy. Please, just trust me.” You rub the back of his hand with your thumb while you stand up. “I know you don’t have to forgive me for what I did, but if you could just take this chance to start anew, maybe we can continue what we had… except maybe a little cooler.” You smile a little at the end, trying to nudge in a bit of humor. He stands, legs almost failing him again, before he stands tall. Gosh, you forgot how tall he was, it’s almost a little intimidating. “Personally, I’m still upset that you left…” he said as his hands moved from your fingers to your waist “but, I think you can make it up to me later.” He says as his breath flirtatiously carries the ‘r’, your cheeks tint
“God, will you two shut the hell up?! I’m almost dead here, but I’d rather die than watch you two make-out! Besides, what happened to you Troy? She’s the reason we’re so powerful, and you’re just gonna forgive her and ditch me?! What the hell man!” He huffs “Tyreen, I know we want power but let’s just think for one second, what if we weren’t the only beings ever? Wouldn’t endless life, power, and wealth get boring after a while?” “I-“ He paces around “-Ya know what, I don’t even care what your answer is, Ty, I know what I finally want now. Not what you wanted me to bandwagon, what I want” Tyreen’s eyes are widened with shock before he turns back to me “I know it’s been like a good couple of years, but the way I feel about you- about us it hasn’t changed. And though I didn’t tell you, I want you to spend whatever fucked-up future we have with me. Vault Thief or not, I just want you by my side again.” He grabs your hands, “And maybe a slight make-out sesh on the side?” He tilts his head smiling sinfully, “Don’t push your luck, Troy” he rolls his eyes before resting his forehead against yours, you can faintly hear Tyreen’s groans of disgust in the background. “Give it some thought, yeah?” Your arms make your way to his shoulders, while his arms pull you in closer. Finally a moment of pure euphoria, Troy’s lips finally link with yours, you can almost feel as though both of your powers are doing the same thing. They’re not combining, but they’re blending and becoming stronger with every wave of guilt that leaves your shoulders. He smiles into the kiss, right before you hear three familiar Sanctuary-based voices;
“What the fuck?!”
Aw… shit.

The Good Old Days
ship: Handsome Jack x Reader tags: AU, Canon typical Violence
summary: I remember them. The good old days. When I was a simple engineer, Jack was a Programmer. We worked for Hyperion, creating the next generation of Loaders. I built them, he programmed them. But when the COV attacked Helios, the only place to turn was the now ship, Sanctuary.
word count: 3,273
a/n: As always, I'm terrible at summaries. Essentially this is an AU where Jack never became Handsome Jack and kept on programming, causing the events of Borderlands 2, the Pre-Sequel, and Tales from the Borderlands, to never happen. But you know, Troy and Tyreen are still out there.I hope you enjoy this as much as I enjoyed writing it! (Oh and I could totally write a second chapter with smut, just saying.)
I remember them. The good old days.
When I was a simple engineer, Jack was a Programmer. We worked for Hyperion, creating the next generation of Loaders. I built them, he programmed them.
All was good.
Life was simple.
We lived and worked in the Helios as it orbited the planet Pandora.
There was always fighting down on that planet. Inescapable fighting. Fighting for territory, weapons, and power.
But there was one safe haven we knew of. Sanctuary. Run by a group called themselves the Crimson Raiders, they provided safety to almost anyone.
Then came the transmission from Pandora, from a group calling themselves the “Children of the Vault” or the COV if you’re short on time.
Led by the Siren twins Troy and Tyreen Calypso, they gave Helios, and by proxy, Hyperion, two choices.
Join us or die.
Tassiter chose the latter. And boy, the COV wasn’t joking when they said “Or die”.
The very next day, they launched an attack. The Cultist fucking teleported onto the Moon Base, and began killing Hyperion employee en mass.
Jack and I were wandering around when they attacked. God, I remember it like it was yesterday.
*
“So, what’s your next project gonna be?” Jack asked, and I shrugged as we walked.
“No clue. I’ll probably just go to Tassiter, ask what he wants, and do that. Creatively, I’m a little burnt out at the moment.” I sighed.
“Oh, well if you need my help, I’m always there.” He gave me a light pat on the shoulder. The moment his hand made contact with me, alarms started blaring and red lights were flashing. There was a moment of confusion, from Jack, myself, and other Hyperion employees around us.
“Attention, we are under attack, I repeat, we are under attack!” A voice shouted over the intercoms.
“Under attack? How?” Jack asked the air, the both of us still standing in the middle of the hallway, other employees now rushing around. From down the hall, there was a bright orange glow in the shape of an orb, and a whole crowd of people appeared.
“Shit, that’s how! Jack, come on!” I grabbed him by the arm as the attackers began to open fire.
“Who are these guys?” Jack yelled as we sprinted.
“I don’t know, why the hell would I know?” I responded as we turned a corner, only to find more of the attackers.
“Long live God Queen Tyreen!” One of them shouted, before blowing a poor sucker's head off with a shotgun.
“Tyreen? I recognize that name!” I said as we started running the opposite direction.
“Shit! It’s Troy and Tyreen. The Children of the Vault!” He yelled, pulling me into an empty conference room and hiding below the window. He put a finger up to his lips. Screams and a stampede of footsteps passed. We waited, and all was eerily silent, save for the alarms still blaring.
“We need to get to my workshop. There are things I need to save and-” I started rumbling, and Jack put his hands on my shoulders, forcing me to face him.
“No, Y/N. We need to get the hell outta here. We need to get some guns, get to an escape pod, and get to Pandora.” He said, his heterochromatic eyes staring into mine.
“Pandora? Why? That’s where the rest of the COV is.” I said, and Jack nodded.
“Yes, but there’s also Sanctuary. We can head there and-” Something out of the corner of his eye caught his attention. It caught mine too.
A spaceship. And written on the side was the word “Sanctuary”.
“We’re fucked.” I sighed, and Jack looked back at me.
“No, no! This is good! We can have them dock here, and just hop right on!” Jack suggested, and I sighed once more.
“I mean, I suppose that could work. But how would we get their attention?” I asked, and the crackle of the intercom was heard once more.
“Attention Hyperion Employee’s, this is Commander Lilith of the Crimson Raiders. We know you are currently under attack and will be docking to take refugees onto Sanctuary. Please open up the nearest docking bay so we can help.”
“Fuck me man, why’s it gotta be everytime I speak I get proven wrong?” I grumble, and Jack smiles.
“I mean, it’s helping us! Right, so we need weapons.” He said, and I peeked out the window into the hall. Still empty.
“Yeah, um, we should go where the COV was headed. Good chance that some got killed by LOADERs and we can loot the bodies,” I said and he nodded along, “Then you head to the docking bay control room and open it up, I’ll go back to my workshop, grab my ECHO and some stuff and make a mad dash for the bay.” I go to stand up but Jack pulls me back down.
“Y/N, are you crazy? Leave it!” He nearly hissed.
“No. I worked so hard to make all that stuff. I’m not just gonna leave it and let the COV get their cultist hands all over it. Plus, it could help us out with the Raiders, you know? Get us trusted quicker.” I said, and he sighed.
“Fine. Call me as soon as you get your ECHO. I’ll hold off the COV for as long as I can but I am not leaving here without you.” He stated.
“If worst comes to worst, you might need to,” He goes to say something, but I interrupt, “But let’s not think about that alright? Right now, we need guns. Come on.” I stood up, and Jack joined me. We peeked out of the door, I looked right and he looked left.
“Found something.” He said, just loud enough to be heard over the alarms. I followed him to the left where we found some guns. Two pistols, a shotgun, and an assault rifle. We each took a pistol, with Jack grabbing a Maliwan and I got a Jakobs.
“You take the rifle. I’ll have the shotgun.” I reached for the Hyperion shotgun when Jack suddenly snatched it.
“No, you’re the better shot, you take it.” He said, loading the shotgun.
“Jack-” I started, and he stopped me.
“Now’s not the time. Take it and go. Haul ass over there and then get back. I’m not going anywhere without you.” His eyes bored into mine. I had seen him serious before, but that was entirely different. I nodded, grabbing the rifle and loading it, before turning away. I took a few steps down the hall before stopping and turning back to Jack.
“See you in a bit.” I said, and he smiled.
“See you in Sanctuary.” He turned and began jogging down the hall, and I went the opposite way.
It wasn’t too far to my workshop, but I tried my best to dodge any encounters with the COV. There was the occasional shout, what they were saying, I had know clue. Bodies, both COV and Hyperion littered the floors. I turned a corner, the door to my workshop in sight.
But so were a small group of COV. They were in a fight with some Hyperion security, so I tried to sneak behind them, attempting to slip into my workshop unseen, but some crazy asshole in the group saw me.
“You’re gonna be my new meat bicycle!” He shouted at me as I scrambled through the door. I locked it behind me, and it slid in his face. I could hear his fists pound on the metal, but he wasn’t getting anywhere with that.
I fell backwards, staring at the door, panting. I could hear my heartbeat thrumming in my ears, and I forced myself to calm down. Slowly standing up, I looked around.
My ECHO. I need to find it.
I jogged over to my desk and began to sift through the mess. I found the side bag I adore and slung it over my shoulder. Inside was my ECHO, which I clipped to the waist of my pants and called up Jack.
“Y/N! You made it to your workshop.” Jack exclaimed, sounding hopeful.
“Yeah, but not before some COV fuck saw me and said I was gonna be a meat bicycle, whatever the hell that mean…” I muttered to myself, sifting through the contents of my desk, collecting anything that I would miss or needed, “How's the docking bay going?”
“Oh, uh, it’s going,” He said, and there was a gunshot, “I got in contact with that Lilith chick. They can’t bring in the ship until this area is clear, they don’t wanna risk their people.”
“Damn it,” I grabbed a thumbdrive off my desk, which contained my most recent blueprints, and pocketed it, “Listen, I’m almost done here. I think I can slip through the vents into the room next door and get out that way. Then I’ll head over to you and help clean things up.”
“Sounds like a plan,” Another gunshot, then a grunt of effort, “Get here quick.”
“Got it.” I hung up, looking around the room. Anything else I would miss? I mean, yes, but it’s nothing I can carry. Time to move I guess. I passed the door, which that group seemed to still be distracted with, and made my way to the vent. It just went to the next room over, nothing crazy, it was five feet long at most.
I yanked on the grate, which fell off surprisingly easily. I slid my bag through, before crawling in. It was small and dusty but I didn’t care. This was life or death. I’d live with some dust on me.
I pushed on the other grate, which came off with the same ease as the first one, and pulled myself out on the other side. It was a storage room. I picked my way through it and found the door. It silently slid open, and I glanced at where the COV was. They were still focused on the other door.
I didn’t even bother closing the door to the storage room, not wanting to risk them hearing me. I slowly snuck out of that hall, and once I turned the corner, I was sprinting down the halls, jumping over corpses and avoiding puddles of blood. As I ran, the alarm turned off, and I could hear the sounds of fights all around. I kept moving, gunshots fading out as new ones faded in, until I was close enough to the Docking Bay where I could hear Jack’s fight.
“Son of a-” I heard him yell as I got to the doorway. If we weren’t in a life or death situation, the scene in front of me would almost be comical.
Jack stood at the control panel, a cultist jumping towards him, with other cultist bodies littered at his feet and all over the room. He was stepping backwards when he tripped over a corpse, and began to fall. The cultist was screaming as he jumped. I drew my pistol, and fired once.
The bullet struck the cultist in the head, sending him limply across the room with the momentum of the shot. I gave Jack a look as I walked over, as he pushed himself up, sighing and muttering to himself.
“I could’ve handled that.” He grumbled, and I snorted.
“Sure Jackie, sure. Anyways, ready to open the docking bay?” I asked, and he wiped his hands off.
“Yeah yeah, gimme a minute.” He stood at the console and began pressing buttons. There was the whirring of machines as the Docking Bay doors opened, a barrier of energy protecting the inside from the vacuum of space, yet weak enough for people and ships loading bays to pass through. I leaned back on the console looking towards the door.
I heard a near stampede of footsteps grow closer and closer.
“Uh, Jack?” He looked over at me, “I think we need to call Lilith.” I said, pointing to the door, where a new wave of cultists began to pour from.
“Shit!” He shouted, pressing a few more buttons before a crackling came over the small speaker embedded in the console.
“Is the Docking Bay open?” The same female voice from earlier, Lilith asked.
“Yes, but we’re not gonna be able to keep this place clear for too long, they just keep coming.” I said, shooting the first cultist that came my way.
“Who is this?” She asked and I groaned.
“Y/N, a friend of Jack’s.” I groaned, and narrowly dodged a tackle from a cultist.
“He mentioned you, listen, we can’t come in until you’re clear over there, we’re not risking our own-”
“Lilith, it’s not gonna get clear! They’re teleporting onto Helios, you don’t get your ass over here now, and there’s gonna be no one left on this base!” I shouted, shooting another cultist.
“Alright, we’re coming. It’ll take a minute, hold it down there until we dock, then get your ass and the ass of anyone else there in Sanctuary.” She said before going silent.
“Jack, we’re on our own for a bit, but they’re coming!” I shouted to him, and watched as he leapt out of the way causing a cultist to fall out of the Docking Bay and into space.
I slung the rifle off my back and opened fire on the cultists as they ran into the room. Many of them dropped, but a few took the shots and kept on moving. I kept getting pushed back in the room, until both Jack and myself were at the energy barrier.
“Exactly how long did Lilith say?” He shouted, the blast from his shotgun hitting a cultist right in the chest, dropping him there.
“That’s the thing, she didn’t!” I yelled back, and heard him groan. I shot another crazy masked man that was running at me, and he fell. I went to shoot another, and my gun just clicked, “Jack I’m out.” I said, and Jack turned to me.
“Me too.” He turned the shotgun around in his hands, holding it like a club, and I did the same with my rifle.
“Let’s go motherfuckers!” I shouted, hitting the nearest cultist with the stock of my gun, knocking him down. Behind us, there was a strange sound. I half turned, seeing Sanctuary’s loading bay back through the energy field.
“Y/N, Jack, get on!” I heard the familiar voice of Lilith, and saw a red headed woman talking, and connected the dots. She had her own people fire on the cultists, giving us the time needed to get on the ship. The Loading Dock doors closed, and we were safe, we were off of Helios.
I sat down on the floor, trying to get my breathing under control. Jack sat down next to me. He leaned against me as the red headed woman, Lilith, crouched before us.
“Welcome to Sanctuary.”
*
That was three years ago. Time really flew.
I showed Lilith what I had, the blueprints I made, and that gained us some trust.
We have been fighting the COV off constantly, and both Jack and myself slowly rose up in the ranks of the Crimson Raiders. We met the Vault Hunters Lilith worked with. They were a strange but tight knit group. Multiple Sirens, Amara, Maya, and Tannis, with Lilith’s Siren powers having gotten stolen by Tyreen.
Me and Jack were the only Hyperion employees that made it off Helios, and the Moonbase soon crashed into Pandora after that. Both Jack and I are fairly sure Tassiter died, and you know, good riddance.
“Y/N?” I jumped slightly.
“Uh, yeah?” I looked over, seeing Jack.
“You alright?” He asked. “Yeah, I’m fine.” I gave him a small smile.
“Okay… You were just… Kinda staring out into nothingness.” He sat down next to me.
“Sorry I was just… reminiscing I guess.” I shrugged and he looked at me.
“About what?” He asked, opening a bag of pretzels I didn’t even notice he had.
“Life before we were here. Back on Helios. I was thinking of that day actually.” I laughed a bit.
“Why?” “I… I don’t really know. These past few years… They’ve gone by so quick, I hadn’t even noticed. Three years of my life, just, gone,” I said, leaning back, “Sorry, I’m getting weirdly deep. What’s up?” I turned to him.
“I wanted to give you this. Found it on a scouting mission with Morticai,” He digs around in his pocket, and his eyes light up when he finds what he’s searching for, “Close your eyes and open your hands.” “Jack, seriously?” I sighed, and he nodded.
“Yeah seriously. Trust me, you’re gonna love it.” He says with a sincere smile. I roll my eyes, but close them, holding a hand out.
“I swear to god, if it’s Skag shit again, I’m ejecting you.” I grumbled, and I heard him chuckle as the couch shook slightly.
“That was one time.” He shot back, and I scowled at my approximation of where he was.
“That’s far too many times to be handed Skag shit. Now just gimme what you have or I’m opening my-” I felt a small object drop into my hand.
“Look at it.” I opened my eyes, looked down at what he had put in my hand.
It was an arch on a chain. Looking at it closer, it had a clasp, and the arch was the Vault symbol.
“A necklace?” I asked, looking back at him.
“I bought it for you a few days before everything on Helios went to shit. Lilith sent me and Mordecai to the wreckage of Helios. I found it there, still intact. I never got the chance to give it to you then, so I thought I’d give it to you now, considering we’re sort of Vault Hunters now.” As he spoke, I lifted the necklace up, the charm swinging gently with the slight shake of my hand.
The charm, at first glance, appeared to be black, but as I peered closer at it, I saw something swirling in the darkness. I tapped it with my free hand, and the swirling lit up purple.
“Jack, this is made of eridium.” I said, looking back and forth from the charm to him. He looked down at it, watching the glowing purple fade.
“Huh. I guess it is,” He said, not at all sounding surprised, “Well, do you like it?” He asked, as I opened the clasp and put it around my neck, the Vault charm sitting just below my collar bone. I grinned down at it, then looked back at Jack.
“I love it!” I practically tackled him, enveloping him in a hug as he fell to his back on the couch.
“Jeez you two, just fuck and get it over with.” I heard a familiar Irish accent say. I peeked up to find Zane and Amara walking into the room. Zane sat across from Jack and I, and Amara stood with her arms crossed.
“Seriously, I’ve had to watch you two dance around each other for three years. That might as well be psychological torture,” Amara said, and I felt my face heat up. I glanced down at Jack for a moment, and I saw his cheeks getting red.
Slowly, I got off the couch, standing beside the couch. Jack sat up, giving me a strange look. Quickly, I grabbed his arm, running from the room and dragging him along with me. We ran upstairs, and into my room at the back of the ship.
The door slid shut behind us with a hydraulic hiss, and mischievous giggles filled the room.

I saw the fic where the reader tells the twins that the entire camp left and went one way and troy plays along and fucking slips a tracker in their jacket. Just the pure feeling of "you've done fucked up" when the twins follow them back to their group.
You should have known. You should have known! It was their whole game - they made themselves look stupid and inane. They made people underestimate them. And you'd fallen for the entire act. They'd played you. And now they're here. Again.
You swear under your breath when your rifle clicks. "Need more ammo!" Half of your words are drowned by the explosion that rattles the mesa behind you. The resulting haze of red dust obscures your line of sight on the twins. They're still a quarter-mile out, but they're blazing through the front lines with frightening vigor. You don't know many of the camp members personally, you keep to yourself, stay with family, close friends. Still, the massacre is hard to watch.
Bodies turn to stone under Tyreen's fingertips, unnatural crystals jutting from their eye sockets and open mouths. Her tattoos are glowing white-hot and she's laughing.
Troy takes care of the rest, sweeping his sword through two, three, four people at a time, almost lazily, a satisfied smirk on his lips. They turn into crimson mist and scattered limbs. His white coat is stained with blood, but you don't know if it's his or...everyone else's.
"Ammo incoming!" The shout is followed by the familiar, and welcome, clink of an ammo box landing in the sand next to you. You reload as quickly as possible, but your next look down your scope cements your fears.
They're winning. They're only a few thousand yards out now, backed by a seemingly-endless onslaught of cultists. You pick off a few of the larger ones, but your aim keeps locking on the twins. Troy. Tyreen. Troy. Tyreen. It's a gamble, you know they're both dangerous... Precious seconds tick by as you weigh your options. Hordes of shrieking cultists swarm past the first set of barricades. You hear shots from your left. From your right. Shouting, screaming...
You aim right between Troy's deep-set blue eyes and squeeze the trigger.
Crack!
Darkness.
**********
Your head is throbbing, your ears are ringing. But all the gunfire, all the explosions, all the yelling...it's silent. Everything comes back gradually. Sand crunching under boots, murmured conversation, bright light on the other side of your eyelids. You blink, squinting against the afternoon sun.
You're on your knees, your hands are- You struggle in a split-second of panic as your body races to process what your brain already knows. Your hands are bound behind you, you're gagged. You force yourself to breathe.
"Y'know, I gotta hand it to ya." Troy drawls from somewhere out of sight. "You're smart. Not as smart as us, but, well..." Suddenly, he's in front of you, dropping to a crouch, lips pulled back into a wicked grin. "We're tough to beat." He ruffles your hair and stands, yanking you roughly to your feet with him. "Take a look around! We redecorated the place for ya! Thinkin' about callin' it...I'unno...hey Ty! How's 'Calypso Chic' sound?"
"Sounds stupid."
Troy chuckles. "Yeeaaah...she's just jealous she didn't think of it first. Too bad you don't get to stay, though! Real bummer. But! We got somethin' super special waitin' for ya." His grip on your shoulder is painfully tight as he steers you in the direction of their convoy.
You try not to look at the crumbling husks that litter the ground around you. Still, even in your peripheral vision, you see arms outstretched, crystalline mouths gaping in silent screams. Some are cowering. Some are...you swallow back the bile in your throat. Some are small, clinging tightly to hands and the now-solid folds of clothes. Entire families are fused together into morbid statues, memorializing their last seconds. You tear your eyes away and focus on your feet.
"D'you get 'em all, Ty?"
She falls into stride beside you. "Yeah, think so. Been a while since I've eaten that good." She sounds satisfied. Sated. It only makes you feel sicker. "Kinda wanna take a nap now."
"Don't forget to share," Troy mutters.
"Yeah, yeah..." She waves him off as they split around the front of their war technical.
You stumble when Troy gives you a shove toward the open door. A burly cultist covered in tattoos reaches down to grab your arm.
"Careful with that one," Troy warns. "They're gonna need to be, ah...presentable later."
Fear grips your gut as you're hauled into the vehicle, but you can't exactly ask anyone for an explanation. You're not sure you'd want to know, but the anticipation of the unknown is worse.
Troy is right on your heels, pulling the door shut behind him. "Don't worry, pet," he croons as he slides in next to you. He tilts your chin up with his left hand. "You'll learn to love us, just like all the others. Welcome to the family."

Hi could you write a troy X male reader where the reader does music and livestream stuff and always steals Troy his show and teases him with it. And then some romantic stuff happens maybe?
Creative brain is fried, but I wanna write. So this may be a bit wonky. Hope it’s alright.
Troy watches as the views from his current live stream suddenly plummet. He had hundreds of thousands of views and now they’re less than half of that. Troy grunted in annoyance turning off the stream.
This has been happening over the past few weeks and it’s starting to get on his nerves, just because he doesn’t where they’re going. Troy returned to his room and brought up the ECHOnet on a large monitor going through all the top livestreams.
Most of them were just commentary streamers talking about the stream he just stopped. Then there was one that stood out amongst the rest. A quick glance at the views- a number that was greater than the viewers he lost- and he clicked on the stream.
The moment that the stream loaded music had blasted through his speakers causing him to almost fall backwards in his chair. He could feel the beat pulsate all throughout his body, he found that his heart had started beating in sync with the music.
When Troy finally recovered from the shockwave of music he leaned forward to over over his keyboard.
GodKingTroy donated $500: So you’re the one who’s been stealing my thunder
Troy watched eagerly as he waited for that slight delay for you to read the message. He watched as you briefly paused playing your music to read the message. Something about the you smiled at the camera made his body jolt.
“Hey there God-King, thank you for the donation. This next song is for you.” The final wink at the camera was what knocked him out of his chair.
Over the next couple of weeks was spent commenting on each other streams, you had created some songs for the Calypso twins are able to use. But a part of Troy kind of hated how you always managed to steal his show- although he really loved the back and forth. It felt like he was building a true connection.
Troy dived onto his bed and managed to fall off as he attempted to grab his echo when he heard a notification.
“Hey, want to meet up? We could collab if you want. It’d be cool to perform for the CoV. But I’d think it’d be better if we’d just spend time together.”
Troy just stared at the message with his heart beating crazy like the first time he heard your music.
“I’d love that!”
“Shit.” Troy cursed, it was too soon to say that word... “Wait, is it? Well it’s not like I said ‘I love you’ or anything.” He quickly muttered to himself.
“See you then ;p”

Troy with a Shy S/O headcanons
When Troy first found you it was during a visit to one of the COV’s smaller outposts.
The outpost itself had belonged to a bandit clan that the twins had defeated. The place was just a small collection of buildings with bunker like basements.
You were a recent ‘convert’.
You had really only joined for safety in numbers and all that, despite the fact you didn’t like big groups.
Nervous, shy and easily frightened. It was a miracle you had survived Pandora as long as you did.
The minute Troy laid eyes on you he knew.
You were gonna be his.
It was almost surprising that he was able to spot you in the crowd of crazed followers.
You were nervously standing near the back of the crowd, trying to avoid being crushed by the devoted followers that were pushing and shoving to get as close to the twins as possible.
It was just your luck that when you finally looked up you caught the gaze of none other than Troy fucking Calypso.
He watched with a smirk as you blushed and immediately looked away.
Every time you snuck a glance back up he was watching you.
After they gave their sermon Troy watched as you scampered out of the hall, intent on hiding away in the safety of your little room.
Troy on the other hand immediately had some priests go and find you, given strict orders to bring you to him.
When you arrived in his room with two priests on either side of you, Troy couldn’t help but smile at your trembling form.
You were his.
Tyreen never cared for timid and shy pets so Troy got you all to himself.
You were kept in his room, a soft leather collar with a chain that was attached to the bed prevented you from leaving.
Not that you would anyways, far too scared to ever try escaping.
For all Troy loved to mess with you and your nervous nature he was surprisingly sweet.
Cute nicknames for you like ‘Kitten’, ‘Darling’ and ‘Sweetheart’ were the most common.
He liked having you sit in his lap.
Editing videos? You’re in his lap.
Planning their next broadcast? You’re in his lap.
Working on his one of his little gadgets? It's a little awkward, but he has you in his lap.
Always touching you.
The first time he comes back from an unsuccessful raid is terrifying for you.
He’s angry and loud.
When Troy notices how badly he’s scaring you he immediately stops, no matter how pissed he is about the raid he doesn’t want you scared of him.
Queue soft hugs and kisses.
Tyreen teases him by saying you’ve made him soft, but she’s honestly happy for him.
She likes that her brother has someone who can help him de-stress and looks after him.
Plus when he starts a little web show of short videos of you two doing different challenges they gain a lot more followers because everyone finds the whole thing super cute.

Yandere Calypso Twins x PLATONIC! Mini VH! reader HCs
Once again, @yandere-plague did this before [they did a Tyreen one] so read theirs!! https://www.tumblr.com/yandere-plague/686619271034535936/yandere-borderlands-characters?source=share <3 Not requested nor given by my bestie this time. Enjoy! (*・ω・)ノ I'm sorry, but this is likely skewed towards more Tyreen HCs because I love her.
See, the thing is, these two kidnapped you before they even knew about you. They saw that Lilith tried to protect you (Simply 'cause you're young.) and as such, they saw a weakness and want to exploit it to further embarrass Lilith.
So, once they took Lilith's powers, they took you too, simply just to manipulate people and make it seem like the Crimson Raiders couldn't save you / do anything against them. "Aw, poor FireHawk couldn't even save a kid!"
They just dump you into a room using Lilith's powers. Like I'm sorry but they truly don't care, they just think you're some dumb kid that thought that you could be safe with the Crimson Raiders. That is, until... See, Their plan was to dump you into a all-out fighting arena, and stream your death to the Crimson Raiders.... Except that you knew how to take care of yourself, and lasted against all of them. It is to be expected of course, from a mini VH, but they didn't know that. "Damn! Kid can tank a hit or two, that makes their death all that much more sweeter!"
They respected that you could take care of yourself, albeit now, they knew you could take a few hits.
Tyreen is nice-r than Troy, she wants you to catch your breath, let your guard down while you rest and then kill you. Troy, however, is more so "Watch them get overwhelmed and die" route, because neither can agree on how on how to kill you, they stop sending you in to fight and instead decide to make it seem like their torturing you instead to the Crimson Raiders. They don't, actually, torture you for some reason though, Crazy how being attached to this dumb kid will do that to you.
They definitely try to get you to join their side, promising glory and fame as an Echo-net 'host' with them. You know the truth though,
They keep sending you in to fight, and each time you only come out of the arena hating them more. See, now the issue is that they're abusive Yanderes. I don't like it, but it's true. Their own issues and God-Complexes make it so that now, You're their little mortal to take care of. They know you can take a few hits, so they aren't afraid to hit you to make you go along with their delusions.
They are a little delusional because of their god-complexes, and they don't understand why you wouldn't want to join their side, the godly side. They don't understand that you hate them.
The fact that Lilith can't help you makes it so they have an opening to manipulate you. They try to use the fact that Lilith can't help you escape from them and try to prove that this is where you belong. After all, not even the FireHawk who 'killed' Handsome Jack can't save you. Might as well accept your fate as our favourite mortal.

Appreciation
He hated being bitched at, especially by his own twin sister. She was too blind to see that he sacrificed sleep every night over helping her with this whole God-queen shit. He felt unappreciated by her and used by her for all this. She didn't even say "thank you" to him once this whole thing started. But there was someone who did care for him, someone who hated to see him suffer like this each day, he was too lost in stress to know that someone wanted to help him until they had the confidence to finally tell him. Snappy Troy inspired by @border-spam amazing writing c:
"Sleeping on the job again Troy? Pathetic..."
"You're so fucking blind to see the shit I do for you and this whole fake God-queen shit... Oh yeah I forgot that you keep me around just to keep me in the shadows and to bitch at, is that it Tyreen?!"
His words were his strong suit, he always knew what to say just to see her crumble and feel like he's at the top of her. He felt satisfied when she knew that he was right. He wasn't intimidated by her, he wasn't taking her bullshit any longer. The look on her face made him know that he was victorious once again and she couldn't give a good comeback but in return all she could say was:
"Just get it fucking done before morning..."
And she leaves him alone for the rest of the night, going into her room thinking about how she's been treating him lately and how she couldn't beat him when it came to him being right about mostly everything, he knew her too well, more than anyone did in the cult. He went back to working on an edit not knowing what time it was nor caring to even check, he just knew it was super late because his eyes felt heavy and he just wanted to sleep, wishing he didn't have to do this day by day. He noticed some feet shuffling on the ground that was nearing his editing studio not even turning around to see who it was, he thought it was Tyreen coming to apologize or something but it wasn't.
"I don't want your fucking pity or apology or whatever Tyreen, go away."
You stopped in the doorway not daring to come near him. You've seen him be stressed so much before, he would lash out on his sister because it was mainly her fault for why he was like this, and you've had enough, you wanted to show him some appreciation and to know someone was there for him.
"O-oh I uh-"
That's when he realized it was your voice, not his sister's. He turns around looking at you with wide eyes then wiping a hand over his face.
"Ah fuck, sorry I'm just- um, do you need anything? Had a nightmare or-"
"Um, I actually came to talk to you..."
"About what exactly?"
You were nervous, he could tell by your body language. You were setting some boundaries being up this late and approaching him when he's alone but he let it pass. You slowly entered the studio closing the door behind you lightly.
"About how you're being treated by, her..."
Your voice was soft and low, you looked down afraid to make eye contact with him. That's when you heard heavy boots approaching you and you didn't look up from your current position afraid to see his expression. He crouched down to your level when he got in front of you.
"It's okay, I wouldn't mind talking to you about it."
His voice was soft, gentle, a side of him that was coming out of its shell. You finally looked up, his frosty blue eyes meeting your E/C eyes. His expression was soft, someone did care for him after all.
"I just think that she cares about herself more than anyone, including you. I hate seeing you like this Troy, I wanted to tell you before but just didn't have the confidence to..."
"I know, she started acting like that ever since the whole cult thing started, I hate it myself honestly, but it's good to know that someone cares for me at least."
He gave you a smile, a normal one unlike that shit eating grin you've seen so many times before and you actually liked it, smiling back at him. He got up from his position scratching the back of his neck chuckling nervously.
"U-um, this might be asking for much but uh, could you stay with me tonight, I would enjoy some company."
Your heart felt like it dropped to your stomach, you couldn't believe that the God-king was asking you for such a favor like this. But you were hoping it wasn't some sort of trap, you didn't decline it anyway.
"Y-yeah, sure."
He went back to his desktop working on the video again while you watched him do his work, not speaking to disturb him. He sat back in his chair stretching then rubbed his neck.
"Shit my neck and shoulders are killing me. Wish I didn't have to do this."
"T-troy?"
"Hm?"
"I-I could help you..."
"Really? How?"
"I could, give you a massage, if you want."
"O-oh, well I don't see why not, give it a try. But you're gonna need to take off my bracer first,I'll help you."
"A-alright."
He helped you take off his prosthetic arm then the bracer. You did it carefully as not to hurt him. Once it was off you stood behind him getting starting on his neck as he worked on the video still.
"Wow, you're hands are like, magic."
It felt good to him. His muscles felt relieved, he felt like sleeping right there from how your soft warm hands felt on his skin. He deserved this kind of treatment for a King right? And you were there to give it to him. You then went to do his shoulders and he sighed in relief, most of the stress going away now.
"Oh yeah, my muscles feel much better now thanks I really needed that."
"Of course, a King deserves special treatment after all."
"Hah, yeah you're right, feels good."
"Need help with anything else?"
"Wish someone could help me with these videos but no one's tech smart like me around here."
"W-well, I'm much of a Tech-whiz myself, I could help."
"Oh really? Thank goodness because doing this by myself is hard."
You helped him edit the video cutting out parts, adding audio and effects to certain parts. It was done within 20 minutes. He allowed you to sit on his lap as you worked.
"Ohhhh yeah we are done baby, thanks for helping me, guess we got something in common after all. "
"Yeah it's good to have someone that you have something in common with."
All of a sudden you felt him plant a soft kiss on your cheek, making your face heat up from blushing. You put a hand over the spot where his lips were at last.
"Wh-what was that for?"
"My little appreciation to you for helping."
"O-oh heh, it was no biggie really."
"Heh well thanks for helping, we uh, should hangout sometime, what do you say?"
"S-sure I'd love to. "
"Alright now go get some rest for tonight, we could try tomorrow night if I'm not busy."
You gave him a hug before leaving the studio but heard footsteps coming your way. It was her, Tyreen. Troy's face soured at the presence of her.
"I-I'll be going now."
You passed Tyreen as she entered the studio stopping feet from Troy.
"What do you want now?"
"I came to apologize-"
He puts a finger up stopping her.
"Cut the shit Ty, not in the mood to hear your sulking, I've had about enough for tonight."
He walks past her heading towards his bedroom now. She couldn't find the right words to say because she knew she was in the wrong for treating him like he was one of the bandits. She couldn't change his mood at the moment, that'll take some time for him to forgive her but right now, he wanted time to himself tonight. Once he was out of sight she gave up and went back to her own bedroom. He didn't even feel one ounce of regret for what had just happened, to him, she deserved it right now, but it can't be like this forever since she's the one keeping him alive every day, he didn't want this moment to be ruined for him, especially tomorrow if he ever gets the chance to hang out with you.

Not so Bad pt.2
Fandom: Borderlands
Ship: Troy x Reader
Requested by: Ninabobina1309 (wattpad)
Warning/s: Angst, fluff
-
“And where do you think you’re going, killer?” You were caught red handed.
“I’m, uh.. Doing some hunting!” You explained in a nervous sweat. If Lilith found out where you were going, you’d never be allowed to leave the ship by yourself ever again!
And that meant no Troy...
“Hunting Bandits, or something else?” The suspicion was highly noticeable in her voice. You put on a defensive front, frozen from the tense atmosphere.
“I just wanted to blow off some steam, what’s wrong with that?” You crossed your arms, now facing Lilith. She seemed to pause, in thought.
“Alright,” she let up and backed off. “Be careful out there.”
You were confused at her compliance but continued on your way to the fast travel anyway, putting in the coordinates. Lilith let you leave without another word to you.
“Follow her.” She ordered.
“Right.”
~
You let out a deep breath. Visiting Troy was becoming harder each time. You knew you would have to stop at some point. You weren’t even sure why you allowed yourself to be doing something this dangerous. Then again, the thought of not doing it made you feel lonely. The thought of never having these secret moments with Troy made your heart ache and tears pool to your eyes (which you blamed on the wind.)
Stressed out, you got your rifle and headed towards the nearest Bandit Camp.
It was when you finished taking all your frustrations out, you felt someone grab you from behind. A hand clamped over your mouth and a rather familiar robotic arm wrapped around your stomach, holding you in place.
You raised an eyebrow before you licked his hand.
“Oh-the hell?” Troy backed up immediately, rubbing his hand against his coat. You took the opportunity to tackle him to the ground. “Actually, I can get used to this..” He wiggled his eyebrows possibly trying to flirt, but the action only looked silly.
You rolled your eyes playfully and crossed your arms against his chest, laying your chin on them. After a while of just admiring him, you spoke up.
“Hi.”
It came out much more dreamy sounding than you would have liked. His cocky grin softened.
“Hi.”
It didn’t help the fact that his voice sounded just as dreamy as yours.
He wrapped his robot arm around you again using his other arm to rest under his head, simply enjoying the silence. “So, um.. Just out of curiosity-er, no, for a friend of mine. Do you ever get this weird feeling in your chest when you’re near someone?”
Yes I have it right now, you wanted to say.
“What do you mean?” You asked instead, your cheeks instantly heating up. His face began to flush slightly. Feeling too embarrassed about the situation, his grip tightened on you and he looked away with a stubborn glare.
“Never mind.”
You didn’t question him further, and he was grateful.
“What the hell is goin going on here!” You shot up from where you were laying, a petrified look on your face.
“Mordecai, I can explain-” You couldn’t really. All you could focus on was the gun pointed straight at Troy’s head. “Please,” you weren’t sure what you were asking for, it all seemed to rush to your head at once and everything you wanted to say came out in that one word. Your heart began to race, the adrenaline not knowing where to go in your body.
“About time you showed up,” Troy stood up with a cocky, fake grin on his face. His hand slightly twitched. “Was wondering if anyone was going to come save her. I couldn’t help getting bored.” Troy chuckled. Your head snapped over to him in confusion and shock. You looked back to Mordecai, a pleading and helpless look on your face.
Mordecai paused and sighed, lowering his gun. You relaxed, only to tense up again when he grabbed your arm and began dragging you towards the fast travel. “Wait..!!” You couldn’t find the right words to say.
What about:
I don’t want to go.
He’s not a bad person.
Don’t tell the others about this.
I care for him..
Instead, the words came flowing down your eyes as tears.
“Wait-where are you taking her!” Troy demanded. You looked back to get one last look at Troy before you were fast traveled back to Sanctuary.
“Mordecai..” You pleaded again.
“Go to your room. We’ll discuss this later.”
And you sure did. Lilith found out. You weren’t allowed to leave Sanctuary at all; having to be babysat by Claptrap whenever the others were away. You had no form of communication to speak with Troy, or see him.
“I heard what happened..” A child like voice said. You looked over at Ava with a dull expression. She seemed nervous and was fiddling with her coat. “Here.” She handed you a device and walked away.
On the device was a show soon revealing Troy and Tyreen. Not only could you see them, but you were able to send them messages.
“This next on is for.. Me!” Tyreen laughed in shock and pleasure. “Let’s see.. ‘If I made you a necklace out of your favorite animal, would you wear it, God Queen?’ Heck yes!”
You stared at Troy and it felt like the whole words around you no longer existed. All you could see was him. The way he was staring at the screen made it seem like he was actually staring at you. Your heart skipped a beat.
“So, um.. Just out of curiosity..”
Ba-bump.
“Do you ever get this weird feeling in your chest when you’re near someone..?”
Ba-bump. Ba-bump.
You do.
Ba-bump. Ba-bump.
You had it from the very beginning.
Ba-bump.
“This next one is for .. Troy!” Tyreen’s voice was muffled. You couldn’t even see her, only your fingers that seemed to be tapping against the screen.
Ba-bump. Ba-bump. Ba-bump.
“It says.. ‘Troy, I think I love you.’“ You ignored the commentary Tyreen was making, only focusing on how Troy would react.
He seemed to freeze in shock, a flush clear on his face. His smirk turned into a lopsided grin. A real smile only he gave you.
“I think I love you too.”
And you could tell he was talking about you.

Maybe Lilith x a new Siren/ ex bandit leader?? Just the conflict of her suppesed to be against her but falling for her instead
Ahhh this is an interesting ask! Thank you! I'll do my best to honour this request :3 In this HC, the reader will be the vault hunter! Major Spoilers for the fate of a character from Borderlands 3 included, so read at your own risk! Some non canon moments have been added too. Also, oof, this got really long I'm sorry haha
Moving into new Pandora territory because of the damn Calypso twins was annoying to say the least. More than three quarters of your bandits had become mutinous bastards, and you'd almost taken care of all of them, and had almost taken back your home, bit obviously, the Calypso twins had to ruin it with their grandstanding. You barely escaped with your life that day.
You meet Vaughn a few days later, and after seeing your 'super awesome banditness!!' he sent you on a super secret scouting mission, and after your concerns about this supposed Vault Key fragment, he assures you that it's in safe hands. "Go Sun Smashers!" He cheers.
When you return, it's to Vaughn hanging upside down from a chain, and when he sees you, he yells from happiness. "Oh thank goodness you're here! I was getting lonely all by myself! Yeah...stuff happened..." He explains everything to you. You and Vaughn haven't been the best of friends. While you're sarcastic, witty and quick on your feet, Vaughn is...the complete opposite.
You meet Lilith a while later, even if you have to rescue a robot and claim a COV Base as your own temporarily. That woman is no joke, and with the way her eyes sparkle, you know she means business. She doesn't seem overly enthusiastic about having to welcome an ex bandit leader, and when you realize that this is THE Lilith of the Crimson Raiders, your bandit instincts scream at you to turn and run.
Of course, you don't. You owe Vaughn that much. She warily tells you about everything that happened, even though her tone is light, you can sense it. She's probably desperate for help, given how COV trashed their HQ. As you're heading to the Holy Broadcast Centre, you truly wonder if this woman can be fully trusted, or if she can trust you.
But as you keep completing mission after mission for the Firehawk, it becomes clearer to everyone–Vaughn at least, as he won't stop teasing you about it–that you're probably one of Lilith's most favourite Vault Hunters. Oh yeah. You weren't just a Crimson Raider now. You were a Vault Hunter. Things were looking pretty good. Until everything went to hell.
After you rescue Lilith–she said she could walk, but no way were you going to let her, spluttering as she was– and carry her aboard sanctuary, you escape by the skin of your teeth. When Tannis calls you for something, you don't notice the brilliant blush that's dusting the Firehawk's cheeks. She starts calling you killer affectionately from then on, and you can't help but smile giddily when she does.
The crew of the Sanctuary, Lilith's family, are am interesting bunch, and you feel yourself becoming a part of them and caring for them more and more as the days go by. Be it sabotaging radios for Moxxi, scanning vehicles for Ellie, salvaging parts for Claptrap, killing people for Zero and animals for Hammerlock or finding logs and drops for Tannis, you enjoyed every last one of them.
*SPOILER*
Maya and Ava had breezed easily into your life, though Maya's death had been a big blow to the Raiders. You liked Maya, so it hurt even more that you were powerless to stop it. Ava had been assigned to you, so you were the one who held her back when Maya died. When everyone gathered on the deck, Lilith's back was turned away from the group. No one seemed to know what to say, their grief towering. So you thought to say a few words.
"I'm not good at speeches but...Maya was...strong, from what little I knew of her. Everyone here was very close to her, and I'm sure that they miss her more than I ever could. But I think if Maya were here, she'd want us to take the fight to them, to win for the Crimson Raiders, and to come out on top. So if anything...we don't just owe this to the world anymore. The Calypso Twins have to be stopped. We owe that to Maya."
During the speech, Lilith had turned to you, and her eyes were wide, brimming with emotion. You'd awkwardly cut yourself off, suddenly feeling like a child, and Tannis had taken over, but Ava had stormed off, bitterly spouting things about how you were there and should've taken action, and blamed both you and Lilith for her mentor's death. After everyone had left, you went to check on Ava, but the girl didn't let you in, so you went back to Lilith, the latter thanking you for checking up on the girl. "Did you really mean what you said?" She'd whispered, and you'd nodded. "Every word."
*SPOILER END*
It's slow, but after that incident, you can see the difference in behaviour when it comes to how Lilith used to interact with you before, and how she does now. Lingering glances, shy smiles–you didn't know Lilith could be shy!– and, something which took you by surprise the first time, hugs and hand holding. It's something you looked forward to everytime you went on a mission. A brief but small hand squeeze, and a hug that lingered too long when you returned. It was so obvious to everyone that even Tannis and Claptrap had begun to take notice.
After one particularly grueling mission involving that ass Killavolt, you were in Tannis' lab, the woman berating you for not wearing shock resistant shields as she dressed your bruises. "Honestly! It's like you want to be hurt!" She huffs, and five minutes later, she's told you to rest for a while until Rhys contacts your team. You'd begun to protest, shirtless as you were, when the door opened, and Lilith walked in, frowning. "Hey Tannis, could you help me with–"
Her eyes had widened, and you remember feeling a lot naked than you were. It would've been funny, had your eyes not been as wide as hers too. You willed your hands to move, but they stayed as still as led. Tannis meanwhile, was completely oblivious, and continued to poke your abs with her fingers, ignoring Lilith. "Just a moment Lilith. I have a very stubborn patient I need to examine."
It had seemed the words hadn't registered, because Lilith had begun walking towards you, and out of nowhere, she poked your abs. You yelped, wincing, a red blush colouring your face. "Lilith! Honestly! Stop poking my patients like that!" Tannis huffed. Lilith, startled out of her revere, had nodded and mumbled a "Sorry Tannis. Take care of yourself, Vault Hunter." Vault Hunter. Not Killer. Why did it feel you'd screwed something up? It was probably nothing, right?
So...turns out, it wasn't. Lilith had become increasingly distant. The hugs had stopped, and so had the hand holding. There was some tension in the air, though you didn't know why. Moxxi had assured you, telling you that this is normally how Lilith dealt with feelings, and while it was a comforting thought that your feelings were reciprocated, it still didn't help that Lilith was treating you like this.
After a particularly deadly mission involving the COV, where Tyreen herself had made an appearance. You'd been hurt really bad, but you'd saved the life of innocent people. An explosion had knocked you back, and you'd tried getting up, but had found yourself crushed beneath Troy's boot heel. "Careful Troy. That's my super fan you know! We don't wanna beat her up too bad!"
She'd echo cast your broken and beaten form across the galaxies. "What is up everyone! We've got a special video today. It's my very own superfan, the second biggest heretic in the universe! It's the Firehawk's Dog! Do you have anything to say, Vault Hunter?"
You'd said nothing, glaring at the camera instead. Troy had chosen to plunge a knife inside you, and you'd cried out in pain. "That's what I'm looking for! My my Lilith! You've been working my super fan to the bone! That's supposed to be my job! Well! There's no harm in sharing, right? Sharing is caring after all!" She winks, and smacks the camera with a cackle, and Troy decides, for added dramatics, to twist the knife in more. You scream, and their laughter is the last thing you hear, before you black out.
When you wake up, you're on Sanctuary, or, more accurately, in Tannis' lab. She tells you that the Calypso's had left you for dead in the desert, and that Ellie and Vaughn had helped bring you back. Everyone had been worried sick. It was a miracle you were alive. "Is everyone okay?" You'd croaked out, and Tannis had nodded. "Are you?" She'd asked, and honestly, you were a little sore, but you were fine.
"Lilith was beside herself you know." Moxxi says, and you realize with a start that she's been there the whole time. "After Roland and Maya...well...you can see why she has trouble getting close to people, trouble admitting she has feelings."
You understand what Moxxi means. At first, Lilith's apprehension was understandable. You were a former bandit leader, and she is the leader of the Crimson Raiders. Both of you should be hating the other, yet you'd grown impossibly close. Now, it seemed Lilith was fighting a war with herself, debating whether or not what she felt for you should be pursued.
"I need to see Lilith." You mumble, immediately knowing what you had to do, and ignoring Tannis' protest, you walked to her room. She wasn't there. She wasn't at the bridge either. Giving up, you walked back to your room, where you found her. She was on your bed, holding a picture the two of you had taken on Pandora. She'd looked up, when she saw you walk in, and you were surprised to see tears in her eyes.
For a second, no one moved. Then, slowly, you walked to Lilith, stumbling over to her, and she'd shit to her feet when you finally crossed the distance between the two of you.
Hugging Lilith for the first time in weeks felt amazing. You finally felt complete, as if two halves of a whole were reunited. "Are you okay?" You mumbled, and Lilith spluttered out a laugh. "You got stabbed, crushed under a boot and nearly bled to death, and you're asking me if I'm okay?"
"Yes." You said simply, smiling when you felt Lilith sag against you. "I will be." She whispered, and she was right. Both of you had already been through a lot. Both of you were hurting, but when she broke the hug, leaned in, a kissed you, again and again and again, you knew, that neither of you were okay, but both of you would be. In time.
Whoo! This was way too long for my first imagine, oof. Hope you enjoyed this, and if you did, don't forget to like, follow and obey!! ;) Kidding!!! Seriously though, likes comments and reblogs help us a lot!!! So please yeah? :3
