Nathan Landry, unable to find steady clientele in Chicago, begrudgingly partners with his cousin, Max Phillips, and moves his office to New York City. (cousinhood confirmed by @for-a-longlongtime ) They hire Dave York as the firm's investigator.

Max Phillips spends most of his time schmoozing clients and fucking his secretary while Nathan Landry goes 'American Psycho' about their business cards and branding.

Dave York keeps his head down, does his job, and while dating the woman (you) from the mail room, he learns how to be dominant instead of domineering.
