Retiring from Miraculous

Hello everyone, so if you all saw my recent post or if you saw my post on my main blog, I announced that I will be officially retiring from the Miraculous fandom as well as the show for good.

I'm really sorry to those who followed me and only liked me for Miraculous content, but after hearing about how the recent episodes of Miraculous have been (*coughDerisioncough*), I don't see the show improving or getting better anytime soon nor do I see myself enjoying it the more it continues. Especially with how the recent season has been nothing but: Multiple retcons, terrible character development, scenes cut from the final version for the most stupidest reasons ever and to make the show have bigger plot holes than ever, inconsistent writing, and lackluster plots, I really don't see myself following through with it anymore.

However,

I won't be officially retiring at the moment!

Yep, even though I do plan on retiring from Miraculous, I won't do it for a long time for these 5 reasons:

I wanna rewatch the entire series until I start on S5 since I'm waiting for the whole season to drop at once. I mainly wanna see what still holds up and what doesn't after these 8 and a half years the show has run for. (And I think we can all agree which ones didn't age the best)

I mainly wanna watch S5 to see if I can use it as a rewrite for some of my AUs; mainly The Lost Miraculous. I know this one might be tricky to do since from what I heard, S5 did retcon a lot of characters and plots, so I'm not entirely sure if I can rewrite the whole season, but I do plan to add a few new elements to my rewrite if I ever do.

Speaking of AUs, that's another reason why I won't retire immediately from the show: I'm still hoping to use it as a source of inspiration for my AUs as I still wish to write them. Mainly The Queen Bee and the Vesperia, The Lost Miraculous, The Undercover Tales of Rena Furtive and Invisible Hornet, The Bee Sisters Duo!, Bug and Wasp Game, A Fox and Her Club, and more!

I'm incredibly excited for the Awakening movie coming out this July, and I do hope that it will at least be one last hope for the show to get better. If not, then I guess we can call that one the real canon while ignoring the show itself, LOL.

I still wanna post some of my views on Chloe and Zoe themselves.

All in all, while I won't necessarily retire from the show permanently (as of now), I will be saying goodbye to it as time goes by because it's about time I move on and start looking through other shows that have similar Magical Girl themes.

Speaking of which, I made a poll on my main blog asking people what should be the next Magical Girl show I should try while I wait to end my time with Miraculous, and when I cut ties with it. If you wish to vote, please click right here.

• They still had no real idea what the fuck they were doing...

• While the four of them where incredibly skilled in terms of combat and ship maintenance- they were all now incredibly broke.

• "How the fuck are we gonna get money?! We will be out of food in days" Vi protested as the crew sat on the deck trying to have a meeting of sorts to figure out a game plan.

• They had been sailing aimlessly for the last few days and getting close to running out of needed supplies. All of them feeling a strain on their personal pockets-

• "I know I know- We need ideas. Sure destroying shit is fun but we need to make real money here" Dee expressed rubbing his temple, Alucare looking at the crew and rolled his eyes- However he couldn't disagree with them...

• "We need to obviously steal- its how all pirates make their money most of thw time" Alucare pointed out-

• The crew grimaced at this Alucare included, knowing well that they weren't the type of pirates to raid defenseless people and rip gold from their necks or steal Berri from helpless people.

• "Listen it's one think stealing from a rich person but-" Vi started but Dee waved her off before she could finish that sentence.

• "We know, I don't think any of us want that either" Dee expressed. Sighing as everyone fell silent- That was till Bee chuckled to himself suddently and everyone turned their attention to him.

• Bee being the ever extremist yet the only one that seemed to pitch ideas sat up from his lounged position on a barrel with a wide smile like the devil at the crew.

• "So sounds like- We steal from the World Goverment-"

• Everyone Stared at Bee before the Vi and Alucare erupted in disagreement.

"And please do tell, How and where? You cant just say Steal from the World Goverment" Vi argued and Bee smiled "Easy- I heard when we are that ship that you Alu was imprisoned on-"

"Don't call me that-"

"I heard that they where planning to renovate Marine Base 45 with a new Safe after the summer ends since its faulty- We can just break in and steal it. It's broken anyways"

• Bee pitched as the other two crewmates ripped apart the plan. Dee however quietly thinking and giving a defeated sigh "It's the best idea we have-" He finally said making Vi look at his shocked "Are you fucking serious-"

• "This is a bad idea-" Alucare pointed out

• "Do you have one?" Bee shot back, Making the swordsman scowl at him and Vi huff but fall silent-"

• "Since you two are hell bent on this, then you two have someone to help break into the safe- Neither of us know how to" Alucare pointed out. Making the twins look at each other for a moment.

• Dee clicked his tongue and leaned back- Bee smirking as well.

• "Know just the Duo-"

- This is not what Alucare ment by getting a skilled Theif or in this case thieves. Bee and Dee had just returned from grabbing these skilled 'highly skilled pick pockets' but instead Alucare stared at two cherry nosed brats, his eyebrow starting to twitch.

There was two little girls- clearly not even in the double digits in terms of age, both in little pink-tails and dressed in frilly dresses with pale blue eyes like the older twin duo. It didnt take a wild guess to figure out these where their baby sisters.

Vivian was gushing at the two little girls the second their boarded the ship, Leaning down and poking their little cheeks as she swooned at how adorable they were and gifting them candy. A clear softy for kids-

"You've got to be shitting me- You couldn't find anyone who had hit puberty yet?" Alucare growled at the older twins, Dee rolling his eyes.

"You said we needed thieves and this is what I got- Now do you got any better idea?" Alucare scoffed, gesturing to Vi who was still gushing over the girls who where eating up the attention from the redhead.

"You expect us to break into a secure Marine safe with two toddlers-"

"We are right here you know-" Ari grumbled, glaring up at Alucare who sighed heavily at this.

"I'm aware-" Alucare calmly shot back, Looking to Bee and Dee as he rubbed his temple.

"If I knew I'd be babysitting I'd just have went home-" Alucare mumbled- Ali glaring hard at Alucare as she casted her sister a glance.

"We have to get someone else- I understand love for a siblings skills but this is ridiculous. Im not going to let two infants on a dangerous task like this. Your sisters or not- I doubt they could steal candy from each other" Dee and Bee looked at each other and just shrugged. Alucare ready to tear into them again but being quickly cut off.

"Pretty ring- And lots of money!" Ali said loudly to herself, Holding up Alucare prized Ruby ring in her tiny palm the one that Mihawk had gifted him when he left home and his bag of Berri he kept hidden on his person- The dark haired man blinking in confusion before looking at his hand.

"How did you-" He started before snatching the ring and money from the little girl. Ali giggling at this as Did Ari who was scooped up by Vivian.

"Told you- Best damn thieves you can find" Dee waved off, Already suspiciously touching his own pockets as he was sure his sisters had lifted something from him.

"The infamous Bubbles and Squeak- Now if these two can steal from Sir Crocodile, Mihawk and essentially all of the Pirate Lords undetected including cracking ever safe they can get their little fingers on. I'm sure they can steal from the military-" Bee detailed Excluding themselves from the stolen list. Alucare crossing his arms, looking.. impressed?

"These two did all that?-"

Vi commented with a eyebrow at the little girls as she held Ari who was tucked to her side. Looking to the little girl and chuckling a bit in amusement-

"How long do we have them for?"

"72 Hours, Father has our Mother distracted and lied to her about where the girls are for this" Dee explained with a sigh- Knowing their mother would lose her shit finding out they were taking two 7 year olds out on a pirating adventure.

Alucare adjusted the ring on his finger and nodded- Looking to the two little girls calmly.

"Seems we are setting sail to Marine Base 45-"

rotb spoilers i talk abt Noah in depth bc im autistic and its 1 am

(this is also strictly talking abt the movies)

idk bout yall, but i really like Noah and his character and the way he interacts with everything thrown at him., I really like how (because of Mirage's chill personality) he wasn't completely overwhelmed by the existence of robot aliens. sure he was freaking the hell out abt the car driving by itself but yknow he caught on pretty quickly. and this is also due to the fact that he wanted to save earth as well. and specifically he wanted to help his brother. can we talk abt the fact that he was so willing to go against his morals just to scrounge up some sort of cash to help his family. as soon as he got into Mirage he was like "I don't wanna do this" and he was trying to get out the car. I also really like the relationship Noah had with his little brother. trying to be that light in his life and give hope. doing everything just to help his little brother not be in so much pain. it was just a nice touch to show us how truly compassionate and caring Noah is and you could really feel that through the performance, imo. you can tell they've both been struggling for quite some time. you feel sorry for when Noah gets immediately rejected by that security officer, and he's completely honest and trying to explain how he deserves a second chance (and he does) and he's probably repeated those reasons a thousand times in the past. he almost completely doubts himself until his brother reiterates that they're always gonna be there together and theybcan do it. and even though it sounds unrealistic, me and my sister have said the same thing to each other so it feels all the more powerful to me. it's a completely different approach to a character in the movie series and I cannot appreciate it enough.

and can I just say, sorry to the sam likers out there, I like how Noah doesn't just immediately insult Mirage trying to save him or befriend him. they actually have a strong ass bond almost right off the bat. sam was always yelling at bee everytime bee came in to save his ass (I hated this bc bee can do no wrong ok) but when Mirage was fighting scourge all by himself JUST to buy time for Noah, literslly risking his life for Noah. literslly becoming a suit of armor for him. Noah was nearly in tears, watching mirage's optics fade becsuse they've already become so close. Noah and Mirage have the silliest banter because they just get along so well. I know it's kind of stupid to compare the two (sam/bee and noah/mirage) but my point is simply: they connect so well together and I really fucking appreciate that. we've seen it with Charlie and Bee where they genuinely care for each other and now we see it again with Noah and Mirage. its just so nice to see the two get along swimmingly. even after they save the world, Mirage meets Noah's brother and everything and Noah begins to fix Mirage up as well. showing that they've become closer after the entire incident.

and Mirage. I just gotta say he is seriously the star of the show. Pete Davidson did an amazing job with him. and Mirage's personality fits with Noah so incredibly well. They've got the same type of style, use the same slang, stuff like that, and they compliment each other. Mirage is so genuinely interested and curious about Noah that he comes off as extremely friendly, defensive, and playful. He doesn't hesitate to risk his life for Noah and he gives Noah a little gauntlet to at least keep himself safe when they're apart. he even tells Noah off the bat that he can turn into any car and be sold so Noah can have money for his family. Maybe its the fact that Mirage has been cooped up and told to stay hidden for so long that he can't help but appreciate the first person to "reawaken" him, but regardless their relationship is just extremely refreshing and nice. The way they can bounce off each other is awesome. God i love them so much honestly I can't think of a better duo than these two theyre just perfect for each other whether its platonic or more

I know canonically Mortdecai isn't, uh, amazing with kids but what if a Marigold members daughter started hanging around the building (like Ivy did when she was younger) and she reminded Mortdecai of one of his sisters (Esthers moodiness or Roses cheeriness)? I'd love some headcanons about the scenario^^

I wasn't going to write this until later but I absolutely had to jump ahead of schedule and write this because it nagged at my mind almost all week. You even started an AU for the other mods and I, anon. This little idea is so tasty and adfghfgferhrj

At first, it almost stings. He still remembers Ivy, after all; her wandering around following Viktor or whoever caught her eye whenever she could. It was cute. Adorable, even.

But Mordecai seems to be the target of this little beast's attention. And no amount of waving her off, gently pushing her away with his foot or annoyed threats will get her to pick someone else.

The Savoys are enamored with the little bugger. Serafine started calling her "Bébé Couteau" (Baby Knife) after being allowed to teach her some knife tricks (why Asa let them put a knife in the hands of a kitten, Mordecai will never know) and Nico picked up the habit of startling the little girl by picking her up and spinning with her...Which slowly evolved into throwing her across the bloody bar into Serafine's arms after an accident that resulted in the kitten getting yeeted by a distracted Nico (apparently she loved it (and to Serafine's credit, she ran like Hell to catch her); so it's not exactly safe but it's okay??)

Several speakeasy attendees mistake her to be Mordecai's kitten since she's always hanging around him (and especially so if she's a Tuxedo cat). It probably doesn't help that he loudly objects to the twins throwing the kitten back and forth like a football and has even ripped her out of their arms once or twice

They also (correctly) assume that he calls the shots when it comes to her. If she's making trouble or is heading somewhere that she shouldn't be, someone has to work up the courage to tell that ferocious shadow of Asa's. It's him, the queen cat that looks like she's constantly considering stabbing you or the heartthrob at the bar vicious son of a bitch who always looks like he knows that he's better than you

It's an unspoken rule between the three that Mordecai's word is law when it comes to the kitten. He hates this and is sure that they just use this as another excuse to tease him.

Asa scares the Hell out of the poor little thing. He tried greeting her once and she burst into tears and ran to Mordecai so he could protect her. The twins thought this was hysterical: the kitten adores the ground Mordecai walks on, laughs at Serafine's threats and thinks Nico throwing her at a soft target as hard as he can is the bee's knees; but Asa Sweet-the big fat cat with the softest features out of all of them-scares the living daylights out of her.

Mordecai thinks the kitten has a good judge of character sometimes. If it wasn't for her love of the chaotic duo he'd say that out loud

They brought the kitten along to a "meeting" once when she were sick with a fever. She cried when Mordecai left the car and Serafine refused to leave until she was comforted or at least sleeping, so (after some arguing and sweet-talking) Mordecai went back for her. When he didn't leave the vehicle for a few minutes, the Savoys went on without him.

They came back to find him reading a book, the kitten snuggled up against his side and sound asleep tucked under his coat and arm. The soft look in Morde's eye told Nico that maybe this wasn't the time to be teasing him.

This didn't stop Serafine. Mordecai hasn't heard the end of that event. (Asa also gave him some Hell for leaving the twins to do the dirty work, but Serafine and Nico shut him down pretty quickly-they found whatever crate he wanted, no witnesses are around to tell the tale, the job was done just fine and the kitten needed him more than they did. Shut up, Mr. Sweet.)

Whoever's daughter the kitten is, they'd better learn to deal with Mordecai becoming her guardian angel of death. If she doesn't have a parent and just wandered in somehow, she's gonna end up with something better: an aunt that'll teach her to kill and how to stay strong, an uncle that'll toss her around like a hot potato and teach her to be fearless and another uncle that'll pretend to not care for her until someone looks at her the wrong way.

Mordecai, Serafine and Nico. Probably the worst-fitting cats to be any kind of parental figures, yet ones that will guard a mutually-adopted kitten until their final breaths-whether they'll admit to it or not.

Bianca was backstage after her match

against Liv Morgan and noted her sister sat in

her dressing room watching the screen intently

as Roman Reigns was on the screen winning

his own match. She snapped a pic sending it

to Trinity with the 👀 emoji, clearing her throat

she smiled brightly,” so how did I do?” Soleil

who came to support her sister grinned hugging

her sister,” you killed it little bee, that flippy

shit you do on the top rope is dope af.” Bianca

laughed and nodded her head at the tv,” he’s

pretty good huh?” Soleil turned her head looking

at the screen and smiled,” he’s pretty cool I like

his gimmick it’s tough.” Bianca eyes her until

the woman rolled her eyes,” please it’s not

like that, he’s the homie, anyways I came to

see you, where’s Montez big head at?!” Bianca

noting the woman’s change of subject made

her smirk,”Montez got his own match, I’m sure

Roman would be surprised to see ya, you hadn’t

seen him since Florida why don’t ya go say hi?” Soleil shrugged at the suggestion tucking her

phone into her pocket, she hadn’t been in

contact with the Samoan since Florida other

than telling him she got home safe a week

ago and that she thanked him again for

inviting her. The said man had been in a sour

ass mood since she ghosted him, he saw

every story she posted liking them thinking

maybe it would catch her attention, even

sending her random pics on iMessage of the

tour so far, which only got random thumb ups.

The twins had personally asked Bianca to

invite her sister along the road because Joe’s

sour ass mood was making it insufferable at

practices and work outs where he was more

aggressive in their sparring work outs. Jonathan

had even brought it up to Trinity who tried

to gage the woman’s feelings about her time

with the man but only got that she appreciated

his friendship and mostly about the football

game highlights to her annoyance. Joe even

filed a formal restraining order against the

Tatiana girl for what happened at the football

game, now his frustration was just built up

and showed up in his matches where his

opponents groaned at how he was unusually

rough with his moves, some of his hits

actually connecting when he’d daydream

the woman sitting on that bunny boy’s lap and

him speaking Spanish to her during matches.

Soleil followed the directions of her sister

heading to where the man’s dressing room was

and she knocked a few times standing by the

door. Jey patted Jimmy’s shoulder nodding in

the direction of the woman and they grinned,”

finally fuck I was getting tired of him targeting

us in workouts,” Jimmy grunted rubbing the

ghost of pain in his side. The duo sped off to

talk to Solo and Trinity being messy assuming

what would occur at the pairs reunion. Joe sat

rubbing his temples frustratedly he couldn’t

get the tall woman out of his head it was

beginning to piss him off, hearing his door

being knocked he sighed assuming it

was probably one of the Usos or Paul,” it’s

open.” Soleil gently grasped the door handle

opening it she took in the sight of him leaned

over sat on the couch,” what’s wrong

Tribal Chief, I thought you’d be happy to win.” Joe lifted his head his eyes widened in disbelief

seeing the woman standing in his door way as

she shut the door behind herself. He stumbled

trying to stand up eyeing her,”S-Sol, Whe-when

did you, fuck,” he cussed at how she had him

stuttering like some nervous teen. Soleil grinned

laughing at his antics,” I got in last night, I

saw your match you looked so cool out there,

you’re really good at that,Chief Roman huh?” Joe swallowed harshly at the way his stage

name came from her lips but her calling him

chief made his dick stiffen in his pants,”thanks

beautiful, I haven’t heard from you since Florida

I didn’t think I’d be seeing you.” Soleil smiled

opening her arms offering a hug,” I was invited

to come on this tour with you all, seeing as

I’m not busy I thought I’d accept, now don’t

leave me hanging friend come give me a hug, I

missed you!” Joe bit his bottom lip at the last

part of her statement, he walked to her,

wrapping his large arms around her pulling her

up he shifted holding her up under her thighs. Soleil laughed at the way he spun her, her

fingers slid through his hair, “I’m happy to see

you too old man.” Joe rolled his eyes smiling at

her,” I’m not that old sweetheart, don’t be fooled

I can handle you just fine.” Soleil grinned at his

rebuttal expecting nothing less from the

confident tribal chief. “Did ya miss me friend?,”

she asked comfortably being held up whilst

the man hadn’t released her from his grasp as

he sat back on his couch keeping her in place.

“So damn much pretty,” he smiled his eyes

locked into her own gaze making the woman

swallow in realization of their position. She

patted his chest as if to break up the building

tension but it didn’t stop the small blush

appearing on her own cheeks much to the

delight of Roman who lifted her chin looking her

face over,” you’re so stunning, I missed you Sol,

it wasn’t the same when ya left.” His eyes

searched her own and he boldly leaned in his

lips close to hers when there was a knock

on the door causing Soleil to practically

jump out of her skin as she was standing now

up straight by the other side of the room, seeing

Paul she said hello to the older man and smiled

not meeting Joe’s intense stare as she uttered

a quick see you around and dipped out of the

room. “You’re fucking lying no way!,” Trinity

squealed in Bianca’s changing room as Soleil

spilled what had happened in Roman’s dressing

room. Bianca gaped at what her sister said,”so

did you bump uglies or what?!” Soleil’s cheeks

turned a dark red as she shook her head,” don’t

be crazy sis, it was just a random thing I’m sure,

said encouraging the woman as she was

simultaneously texting her husband that her

friend would be coming tonight and to make

sure Roman would be coming.

The woman had finished the last of

her make up and slid on a pair of heels, she

spritzed on some Jazmine and coconut milk

perfume then applied lip gloss hurrying out to

the car where her sister was calling for her with Trinity. Montez had grumpily agreed to miss

out on gaming that night to join his wife to

oversee the shenanigans they’d set up involving

his crazy ass sister in law and that big ass

Samoan giant. When the group arrived

Soleil grinned hearing the music bumping,”ooh

this about to be turnt, come on Trin!” She

grasped the woman away from her husband

who laughed watching the women dancing

together as he sat at their vip section dapping

up his twin and Sami who’d come along with

Solo and Montez. “Ah shit I see what this is,”

Jey laughed incredulously nudging his twin

seeing Roman come up to the table dapping

them all up ordering a Sprite nodding his head

to the music. Solo shook his head noting what

was happening without being told he had

an amused smile on his face whilst his wife

sat beside him sharing a drink. “Hey man isn’t

that Sunny, she looks pretty,” Sami called out

stirring the pot alongside the twins as he

normally did when it involved ruffling the chiefs

feathers. Roman’s head shot in the direction of

where the women were dancing and he choked

on his drink needing Solo to pat his back when

he saw the amount of skin the woman was

showing. The way her clothing clung to her

curves and the blue and green lighting

shone over her tattooed skin. He saw her

long legs in heels and he uncomfortably

adjusted his bulge, noting how her hips

hypnotizing his gaze. Jey nudged his arm

grinning,” aye bruh you aren’t gonna get ya

girl sitting there,” Jimmy nodded his head,”

unless you don’t mind some dude borrowing

your girl-,” that was enough to make the man

stand up and stalk over to where the women

were. The two women saw Roman coming

over with a look of a predator locking in on its

prey and they were geeked silently dipping to

the table leaving the woman clueless to their

absence. The smell of intoxicating cologne

and a pair of familiar tattooed arms around her

waist made Soleil turn in surprise,”Joe!,what are

ya doing here?!” He kept his arms around her

waist as some RnB song came on,”I came over

to see you, you look amazing tonight.” Soleil

smiled prettily, enjoying the attention as

Floetry’s Getting Late played,” You look

handsome yourself Joseph, I must admit mi

didn’t think you would be much of a dancer.”

She rested her chin on his chest as he gently

swayed them to the rhythm of the music, she

bit her lip at the scent of his natural scent mixed

with the bourbon woodsy cologne. Roman slid

her arms around his neck,” I can be good at

whatever you need me to be pretty girl,” he

managed to speak out cooly despite the way

his own pulse sped up at the feeling of her

against his chest. When the song came to an

end she smiled shyly looking up at him,” It’s

good to see you Roman,thanks for the dance.”

Quickly dismissing herself to the nearest

restroom she shut the door locking it and

pressed herself against the sink her heart

racing looking at her reflection, the way her

cheeks were flushed without any alcohol to

blame and the ghost of his cologne intoxicating

her senses. She felt the skin at her waist where

his hands were just moments before her

stomach swarming with butterflies. Soleil

grasped the cool porcelain countertop and

splashed her face with cool water trying to

settle these nerves that her friend had caused.

A knock on the door made her jump and dry her

face,”sorry one minute,” she called out. The

door was knocked on again making her sigh

frustratedly as she opened the door,” I said one

min-,” she squeaked being pressed against

the door she was standing in front of and

now was back inside pressed against the closed

door. A firm pair of hands hoisted her up to the

counter of the bathroom sink, she gasped

feeling full lips press to hers. Joe had reached

behind him locking the door, he grasped her

chin, pressing his lips desperately against

hers in hunger. Soleil’s eyes rolled shut as

she found her own response parting her lips

to let his tongue swirl against her own, the smell

of his cologne sending her brain into a tizzy. She

separated her lips from his looking at him in

shock,” Ro- what is this?” He groaned closing

his eyes shut trying to calm his hardened

erection,” I’m sorry, I just can’t keep up with

this friend shit, I told you I’m attracted to you

and right now I want you more than anything

in my life, Sol don’t reject me, I know you

feel this too.”

The Solar System Legacy Challenge: Happy Birthday Zohreh Gen 1 pt.56

Kason and M spent all night and early that morning getting setup for Zohrehs toddler birthday party. The duo stand around admiring their work.

M: Do you think we need more balloons?

Kason: M stop worrying. Everything is prefect. Do you need help relaxing. I’m sure we have some time.

He kisses her neck knowing it’s her weak spot. She giggles pushing him away gently.

M: I doubt it, we still have to get the kids ready. All of them.

Kason: I'll grab the girls. You can take Ish and Zohreh. Oh and I want to talk to you about something later.

M: Is everything okay?

Kason: Everything is fine M, I wanted to ask you about the new book is all. Wanted to see how it’s going. Don’t worry so much.

M sits downstairs with the boy's while Kason handles getting the girls ready for the day. She gets Ishtar ready and sets him up to stack blocks. She takes Zohreh and puts on his favorite yellow pajamas. She leaves him upstairs on the playmat to check that everything is in place as guest start to arrive.

Finally underway Mercury leaves Kason downstairs to deal with introductions and heads back upstairs to find Zohreh lying in the hall with a sleeping comet. She scoops him up and takes him into her bedroom and sits with him cradled closely. She gazed at him lovely committing his Kason green eyes and tiny identical nose to her own to memory.

M: How are you growing up so fast Zoh? I feel like just yesterday we found out we were having you and now you’re crawling and waving, clapping and talking. You’re practically a man! I need you to slow down little guy. Your brother and sisters have already gotten too big too fast. Mommy wants you to stay little a little while longer. Okay?

Zohreh: ma..ma..babah

Zohreh smiles and blows raspberries while babbling at M. Her heart warms. The child she thought she could never love had won her heart over and over again. She could hardly remember the fear she’d felt back then, and whenever she was reminded she felt ashamed. She knew now that she would do anything to ensure his happiness and his safety.

M: I love you my little sun.

The guest of honor joins the party. Immediately the family gathers around while M helps Zohreh blow out the candles.

EVERYONE: Happy Birthday!!!

Everyone has cake and Zohreh opens his presents. While opening the one from Winter and Peyton Zohreh turns to Winter

Zohreh: Tuck? My tuck?

Winter: Yeah Zoh, your truck. Wanna try it out?

Winter reaches for his truck but Zohreh isn’t ready to share.

M: Whoa Zoh what’s going on? Auntie Winter just wants to see it.

Zohreh: My tuck!

M: Yes my love your truck.

She checks the cranky toddler as he rubs at his eyes.

M: Are you sleepy Zoh? Sleepy?

She imitates sleepy to him and he follows

Zohreh: Sheepie.

She picks him up, taking him upstairs for a nap

M: Say bye-bye Zohreh.

Zohreh: ba-ba

He says to the room sleepily as M takes him upstairs to his new bedroom. She pulls back the sheets and tucks him in.

M: A little nap for my big guy. Sleep tight buddy.

Ok, so.

You don't have any idea how much I despise "sigma", I swear. That said, the only one I can think about is Quentin.

But he's trying to control his way of speaking because his sister and best friend don't understand these slangs. Furthermore, Corinne has told him it's a bit embarrassing too hahaha.

He was found having an existential crisis in their bedroom after that.

And the most famous duo in Fontaine has to be Quentin & Cameron.

Cameron and Éveline get along very well yes, and he even considers her as his best friend but Quentin is the one he plays, talks, and hangs out with the most.

In Sumeru not surprisingly all of the four of them are best friends but I feel a special bond between Aryan & Hakim.

P.S. Timeskip! Haruki and Éveline have a great friendship, though his best friends are Gaming' and Childe' sons.

Unfortunately she sort of left Eris alone while on her rampage and when she came back(after a long time) he was gone, cue her searching for him all over the place and then timeskip to her meeting Trickster

Ok so, this is a lot of them so I'll just do short blurbs for each of them!

Brother - Esmp s1 but Lizzie, instead of loosing her memories when the apocalypse happened she instead turned into a deity of flames, and she blames Jimmy. So she goes to find and confront him, all the meanwhile her memories are slowly burnt away until all she can remember about Jimmy is that she hates him for starting the apocalypse.

When she finds him, he begs her to forgive him and calls her sister, which angers her further, and she begins using her fire to boil the water around him. Much angst and whump.

Dawning of Spring - Flower Husbands, where 3rd Life was a past life for both of them when they reincarnated into Empires. Scott finds this a lot harder because as an elf he is very sensitive to memories, so every time Jimmy says something or does something that reminds him of his past life, he'll basically pass out and when he wakes up be fully 3rd Life! Scott, which means he only trusts Jimmy.

This means that half the time they're basically very distant allies, closer to enemies than anything, and then the other half of the time Scott is holding onto Jimmy like he'll disappear if he lets go. Very cute, potential for angst.

Allies or Enemies - Same as previous Au but it's swapped. Instead of it being Esmp!Scott it's 3rd Life! Scott getting all the memories, this is worse. Esmp!Scott, while trusting Jimmy enough, also trusts most of the other players without a lot of questions. Also he doesn't know how to fight without magic.

This means that Jimmy is frantically chasing after his husband, while Scott gets almost-killed MULTIPLE times. This is bad, noone is happy with this situation. Much hurt-comfort. Jimmy being the responsible one.

Monster - WcSmp! Lauren and Scott duo! They used to know each other before Lauren was found to not have magic and kicked out of a coven and Scott found Milo and left with him. Scott and Milo were very in love so he needs to win. But Lauren doesn't recognize him, and she has her magic on loan from a shooting star, so she needs to win to keep it (she doesn't know this). It ends with Scott winning and needing to give up something to get Milo back, but he doesn't realize that what he needs to give up is his connection to Lauren, like when they were kids. Angst either choice he makes.

Everything stays - Afterlife SMP! au, Lauren is left behind on the server, with only Oli left. Lauren can sense him because he used to be and enderman and so did she, but he can't sense her because he's a bee and doesn't have magic. She knows that if he can leave he will and she can't be left alone again. She chases the magic signature and finds she's too late. He's gone, but she can follow (she's a vex). She gets to Esmp, but it's been ages, and she doesn't remember anyone but Smajor (the vampire version who looks nothing like Scott) and Oli. This causes even more chaos as she tries to figure out how ELSE she can leave a server because she can never leave them until she gets a new invite (she's never seen the Hub)

Includes a scene where Lauren looks at Lizzie and goes "weren't you that alien girl I killed" in a very casual way and refuses to elaborate.

Mini-Review: Bee and PuppyCat: Lazy in Space

Bee, an unemployed woman in her early twenties, encounters a mysterious creature she terms PuppyCat. She adopts this apparent cat-dog hybrid, and together they go on a series of temporary jobs to pay off her monthly rent. These bizarre jobs take the duo across strange worlds out in space.

This is the kind of show I often enjoy, episodic while expanding the world and our view as the stories pass; humorous without making me cringe.

It's a very fun show that looks like its aimed at kids, and would probably be fine for that audience--it's not adult humor in the vein of things like The Simpsons or Rick and Morty, but it feels like adults are the audience because of the atmosphere.

Bee is a mess, in a recognizable way: she's been fired from her job for possibly valid reasons but also partially for taking the blame for someone else. She's aimless: if it wasn't for the rent being due, she wouldn't really be looking for another job.

The aimlessness of being an adult, yet not automatically having things all together, is a running theme. Bee definitely doesn't. Her best friend and neighbor, Deckard, is struggling to decide between following his passion, and staying where he is in a predictable environment with friends and family.

His sister Cas gave up a passion project in favor of the predictable work and stability of software engineering, something she has complicated feelings about. Their landlord, Cardamom, seems to have everything all together, except he's a 7-year-old with no adult supervision, and as the episodes go on you realize that his straightforward approach to life is actually a child being forced to handle things that are an adult's domain.

The setting is also fun: it's hard to tell whether things like toilets be a place to store food instead of, well, bodily functions are normal, or why a 7-year-old seriously acting as a landlord doesn't seem to raise many comments. Is this a fantasy land where things are just kind skewed anyway? Or are Bee and her neighbors extra-odd? In that way, it reminds me a bit of Steven Universe, with its mix of cartoon reality and non-main characters eventually making clear that they think this is weird, too.

The actual fantastical bits are interesting, too. We get information about Puppycat towards the end, but he definitely has secrets, and Bee isn't as straightforward as she appears at the beginning, either. Their visits to other planets/dimensions (?) to earn money would be an interesting show even without showing any of their home lives.

You can definitely see the influences of classic magical girl anime, but this show is also the answer to the premise: what if magical girl, but tired adult? What if magical girl, but it's just kinda a job?

Verdict

Voices: Very good! They sound very...realistic, not super polished. I don't mean that they sound like inexperienced voice actors, I mean that they sound real and variable, which isn't common in voice acting. I really enjoyed them.

Also, special shoutout to my favorite character, Toast, whose first line had me wracking my brain to figure out why did her voice sound SO familiar and why was her voice affecting something in my emotions until I looked it up, and her voice actress is the English voice of Sailor Moon/Serena that I grew up with!

Visuals: Vibrant and pastel colors, a very round cartoon style, it feels modern and cozy.

Worth watching? Yes! On one hand, it's just a fun series, the balance between "just living life as an aimless young adult" and "brightly-colored fantastical adventures" is done well. The supporting cast of characters is great and entertaining. And on the other hand, it's also nice to watch a cartoon that feels very much like the target audience are adults, but not because the show is raunchy. I really hope we get another season someday.

Where to watch (USA, as of September 2023): Netflix. Note that a 10-episode original web animation (titled Bee and Puppycat without any subtitle) can be found on Youtube; the Netflix series I watched is both a reboot (covers the original series' material in a few episodes) and then continuation. After asking advice on here, general consensus was that newbies starting with the Netflix series is a good idea, but there's nothing wrong with the older, original web animation.

Nisemonogatari 10 Review:

I feel bad for Karen, being that both of her siblings are immortal in different ways and she's not - but then, that's sort of the point, innit? Nisemonogari is about "fakes", and Karen getting shut out of having a real oddity is definitely drawing parallels between Tsukihi not being as into the Fire Sisters thing, and suggesting they retire the duo.

It's about drawing apart from your family. So maybe I'm a little less mad about Karen Bee than I was three episodes ago.
