I hate how, in issue 4 of the dc comics, Blake's constant reassurances that she's not afraid of Adam, usually in direct reference to the scar, makes it seem like it's being used as a symbol for his less-than-desirable traits, ie his trauma and the rage that stems from it

Combine this with Blake's attraction to Adam starting with seeing his scar -

- and this speech from Mrs Belladonna -

- it feels like Blake fetishized Adam's trauma and only cared about him as long as she thought she could "fix" him

The moment he confirmed he wasn't going along with her fantasy, she ditched him

He's so adorable tho I wanna squish him. Wrap him in a blanket and feed him soup. Bounce him like a tennis ball.

I guess him being a pest hovering around commenting on Weiss's inadequacies makes sense for Weiss's nightmare world and how she views him. Not sure if I'm more sad about bat!Whitley or Winter who... Is a strict rulebook/mirror Weiss follows in her nightmare world

Like, she's held in high esteem by Weiss but it's such a distant, impersonal manifestation of Winter and her relationship with Weiss. At this point in the story Winter isn't even a person to Weiss, she's an ideal to follow.

I think if bat!Whitley was dropped he would bounce. like boeing boing splat.
