I will also say that Aedo and Null (and Ghost, my sona's old design, if you've been following me for awhile) look similar because they were formed in roughly the same area. They are of the same Paqu but that has no bearing on appearance since the environment where a Shimmera forms dictates their physical appearance.

At one point the two merge together briefly and as a result Null (the current iteration) bears the scars of what happened to Aedo's body after their death in the form of markings.

#Ilo also kind of inherits Aedo's appearance through null but this post ain't about him #the aurai were scared shittles of Aedo because they did something none of them would ever have the balls to do #(give up their physical form so that their people would continue to survive despite the aurai's efforts to crush them out of pure spite)#so they desecrated their body out of fear after killing them #that's what happened to their body btw #they did not get their cool surgery scars though
