Bakugo probably first tries to hide the fact that he cares and hands you some warm water, “just go to sleep. it’s not even that hard.”

“So y’all really about to leave me in this big ass house by myself?” Angel asked as she watched Hennessy and Aly’Sha pack their bags.

“Sorry sis, I already told my parents that Henny and I were coming for Christmas. They haven’t seen her since she and Erik got married,” Aly’Sha explained as she zipped her Louis Vuitton duffle bag. Angel sighed in defeat, not wanting to annoy her sisterwives. Christmas was her favorite holiday. She loved everything about it: the music, the decorations, the presents. It was because of her that The Kompound was so festive, the giant Christmas tree in the foyer being her idea.

“Won’t Ryley be here?” Hennessy inquired as she drug her luggage downstairs.

“No. She left the same night Erik did, but she didn’t say where she was going or when she’d be back.”

“Aww damn,” Aly’Sha called back, instantly regretting the trip.

“Don’t you dare feel sorry for me, Aly’Sha Stevens-Udaku,” Angel fussed. “Go spend time with your family, I’ll be alright.”

“We promise to call you as soon as we land,” Hennessy attempted, seeing the look on Angel’s face.

“You better. I’d hate to have to fly to Houston and raise hell about my babies,” the Creole beauty responded, only half kidding. In the short time that she’d been in The Kompound, she’d grown to really love and care for her sisterwives. They were the only family she had left after her father’s tragic demise and she’d be damned if she lost them too. Once the trio hugged and said their goodbyes, Angel retired to Erik’s bedroom. She always found comfort there when he was away. “Dear Santa,” she said as she stretched across the Californa King bed. “All I want for Christmas is to be wrapped in my husband’s arms.”

After All This Time...

“Why the hell did I let you talk me into watching this shit?” I scolded Aly’Sha through yet another set of tears. We were curled up in the middle of the California king bed in extravagant suite of the JW Marriott resort eating snacks and watching movies, the current selection being Sex and the City.

“You two are not Carrie and Big,” Kalika reminded me.

“She’s right, Henny. Erik worships the ground you walk on, he wouldn’t dare do anything like that to you,” Aly’Sha chimed in.

I took their words into consideration and the tears finally stopped. Erik wouldn’t abandon me, would he?

After months of planning and preparation the day had finally come. All of our close friends and associates had joined us in Venice, Italy to witness two broken souls become one. The entire lawn was littered with black tables covered in gold cloth and black and gold rose centerpieces that cascaded off of the tables.. The aisle was lined with black lanterns leading to the floral arch overlooking the lavish pool. On the other side of the law, the wedding party table was decorated in the opposite fashion, donned with a black table cloth with a tall white column in the middle, overflowing with black and gold roses. “WHAT DO YOU MEAN HE’S NOT HERE?!” I heard Aly’Sha scream from the other side of the suite. I’d made it through hair and makeup and was in the process of pulling on my dress when Odell came in with the alarming news.

All of the negative thoughts from the last night were back with a vengeance as a sudden wave of anxiety hit me. I was immediately thrown back it my childhood, the little black girl in foster care being told that no one would ever love me and that I didn’t deserve to be loved. The deeper I sunk into my thoughts, the more my tears fell. Thank God for smudge-proof makeup.

“Hennessy, please open the door,” Aly’Sha tried again.

The more I willed myself to think happy thoughts, the more my mind composed damn near impossible scenarios of our tragic demise.

“What if he doesn’t show up? What if he decides he doesn’t want me anymore? What if he goes off on a mission and doesn’t come back?”

“That’s it, I’m kicking his ass,” I heard Kalika say before the door of the suite slammed.

The crispy September breeze coming off of the Grand Canal was just what I needed to calm the nerves building inside of me. Here I was, Erik N’Jadaka Stevens, man-whore of legendary proportions, getting ready to turn in my player’s card and pledge my life to one woman. I’d never been one to do the relationship thing or even fall in love, but there was something about the 5’0 doe-eyed beauty that refused to let me go. With her, life was simple, I never had to think about the “what-ifs” of life. She calmed me with just the touch of her hand and the way my name rolls off her tongue is like the chorus of angels. “I just needed some time to think, little sis. I was actually on my way back,” I said, rubbing the back of my head.

“You had better been heading back, all hell is breaking loose back at the resort,” Kalika stated, staring up at me.

“What’s going on?” I inquired as we made out way back toward the resort.

Just a little background info about my Untitled Series so everyone’s on the same page

I.) You

- Reader is BLACK. ALWAYS.

- Reader is chubby however it can be read by anyone of any body size.

- Reader IS BEAUTIFUL (Look in the mirror bitch! You know you bad as fuck!!! KILLIN EM!!)

- However Reader is also insecure and has just a tinge if Body Dysmorphia ( I myself suffer from it really bad and so sorry if it’s a bit much// triggering sometimes. I try to put myself into my work but I also recognize the story is supposed to be enjoyable so I try to keep it casual)

- Reader is short COMPARED TO THE OTHER CHARACTERS. So if you’re 5’11, that just means everyone else is 6ft+! We not discriminating heights over hurr!

- Also I know I write about Reader blushing and apparently in a lot of other fics I see a lot of “if you were white, you’d be blushing” “thank god you were born black or you’d be blushing” BLACK PEOPLE BLUSH! Whether it’s from embarrassment, arousal, being out in the sun, exercising, sleeping, etc. Black people can blush just like anyone else, yeah it looks different and not EVERYONE blushes but dark skin doesn’t equate not blushing.

II.) Erik

- Both his parents are alive and in his life.

- No keloids

- Thicc

- Knows T’Challa (and Shuri) and they’re all cool but doesn’t really like Wakanda. He thinks all the people there look down on him because he’s half American and they even used to call him “Half Prince” when he was little. So now his dad has to practically force (aka threaten to take away his Mustang) him to go back home with him when he’s visiting.

- Erik’s always loved you but his crush really turned into full on being in love when you two got to college.

- Erik is still a hoe and won’t text a girl back after he’s fucked but that’s about the extent of his dog ways.

- Softboi! Erik here. No Daddy Doms or BDMS stuff popping off here. (Or at least no time in the formidable future)

III. Sky
