re: weight stuff, back when i saw a nutritionist for my ed i asked her how to know how much was the right amount of food versus too much (was underweight at the time) and she told me that i should eat until i’m full. and it kinda boggled my mind because i couldn’t remember a time when i’d approached eating like that. it took a while to recognize what full felt like. but it kind of took a lot of worry out of eating, since now my only goal was to be full (tho also unlocked some anxiety about eating and not being full, but it’s certainly far less harmful to me than the anxiety about having too much).

I've found it very Interesting which streamers/video essayists/etc. who historically have been very vocal about being socialists and yet have decided that the last few months is the perfect time to step back or "depoliticize" their content with no explanation. Just very Interesting.

to be clear i gain absolutely no smug satisfaction from the horrible state of the democratic party. i do not Want to be this upset and disgusted by the state of american politics. i would love nothing more than to feel like things could be meaningfully improved through the electoral process. but the only way to believe that would be to ignore the rhetoric being used and the actions being taken by people who are supposedly progressive and i just can't do that. why is it my job to pretend that they're not doing and saying the things they're doing and saying so i don't come off as too much of a bummer online. i think it should be their job to campaign on platforms that involve killing less people and being less racist but they seemingly aren't going to even pretend to do that ever again.
