gen thought the colleen hoover hate was just her books being badly written trashy romance which like already warned me off but just stumbled across some read-throughs of her books and excuse me WHAT 😭

#the abuse and toxicity ???? what the hell how is she highly rated omg women need to free themselves #i saw people comparing her to fanfic and can i just say this is worst than most fanfic ive read ???#how did criticism of her get so wrapped up in being anti-fic and fanficification of lit when literally her books are disgusting #romanticisation of abuse that is far more representative of trends in published lit than in fanfic where you'll #be dogpiled by people if you dont actually tag warnings for this stuff #hence acknowledging that its not healthy which these books NEVER DO seemingly.. girl what
