I had the cutest idea for a Christmas fic if anyone is interested:
#basically:#the Protocrew are doing arctic exercises with some Starfleet Folks and get stuck at the North Pole#Santa (the one with the Spaceship from Arthur Christmas) gives them a ride home and Shenanigans ensue#including Murf getting into mischief and enjoying Candy with the elves#they help make gift deliveries to federation citizens who choose to celebrate the holiday#and I made up some fun Christmas traditions for other Federation Citizens who celebrate while I was at it#including the Orion having the STRONGEST soaked fruitcakes in the Alpha Quadrant#the Ferengis don't like Christmas because giving stuff away for free really isn't their vibe#Obviously not every culture and religion in the far flung future would celebrate but I think it'd be cute to Trekkify some of it#because Replicators are a thing one of the more personal aspects of Christmas comes from handmade or VERY FANCILY wrapped gifts#Just some thoughts I had while I was sad because they're making me work Christmas eve at the hospital this year
