The Divisions of the Levites
Tumblr media
1 So when David was old and full of days, he made Solomon his son king over Israel.
2 And he gathered together all the princes of Israel, with the priests and the Levites.
3 Now the Levites were numbered from the age of thirty years and upward: and their number by their polls, man by man, was thirty and eight thousand.
4 Of which, twenty and four thousand were to set forward the work of the house of the Lord; and six thousand were officers and judges:
5 Moreover four thousand were porters; and four thousand praised the Lord with the instruments which I made, said David, to praise therewith.
6 And David divided them into courses among the sons of Levi, namely, Gershon, Kohath, and Merari.
7 Of the Gershonites were, Laadan, and Shimei.
8 The sons of Laadan; the chief was Jehiel, and Zetham, and Joel, three.
9 The sons of Shimei; Shelomith, and Haziel, and Haran, three. These were the chief of the fathers of Laadan.
10 And the sons of Shimei were, Jahath, Zina, and Jeush, and Beriah. These four were the sons of Shimei.
11 And Jahath was the chief, and Zizah the second: but Jeush and Beriah had not many sons; therefore they were in one reckoning, according to their father's house.
12 The sons of Kohath; Amram, Izhar, Hebron, and Uzziel, four.
13 The sons of Amram; Aaron and Moses: and Aaron was separated, that he should sanctify the most holy things, he and his sons for ever, to burn incense before the Lord, to minister unto him, and to bless in his name for ever.
14 Now concerning Moses the man of God, his sons were named of the tribe of Levi.
15 The sons of Moses were, Gershom, and Eliezer.
16 Of the sons of Gershom, Shebuel was the chief.
17 And the sons of Eliezer were, Rehabiah the chief. And Eliezer had none other sons; but the sons of Rehabiah were very many.
18 Of the sons of Izhar; Shelomith the chief.
19 Of the sons of Hebron; Jeriah the first, Amariah the second, Jahaziel the third, and Jekameam the fourth.
20 Of the sons of Uzziel; Micah the first and Jesiah the second.
21 The sons of Merari; Mahli, and Mushi. The sons of Mahli; Eleazar, and Kish.
22 And Eleazar died, and had no sons, but daughters: and their brethren the sons of Kish took them.
23 The sons of Mushi; Mahli, and Eder, and Jeremoth, three.
24 These were the sons of Levi after the house of their fathers; even the chief of the fathers, as they were counted by number of names by their polls, that did the work for the service of the house of the Lord, from the age of twenty years and upward.
25 For David said, The Lord God of Israel hath given rest unto his people, that they may dwell in Jerusalem for ever:
26 And also unto the Levites; they shall no more carry the tabernacle, nor any vessels of it for the service thereof.
27 For by the last words of David the Levites were numbered from twenty years old and above:
28 Because their office was to wait on the sons of Aaron for the service of the house of the Lord, in the courts, and in the chambers, and in the purifying of all holy things, and the work of the service of the house of God;
29 Both for the shewbread, and for the fine flour for meat offering, and for the unleavened cakes, and for that which is baked in the pan, and for that which is fried, and for all manner of measure and size;
30 And to stand every morning to thank and praise the Lord, and likewise at even:
31 And to offer all burnt sacrifices unto the Lord in the sabbaths, in the new moons, and on the set feasts, by number, according to the order commanded unto them, continually before the Lord:
32 And that they should keep the charge of the tabernacle of the congregation, and the charge of the holy place, and the charge of the sons of Aaron their brethren, in the service of the house of the Lord. — 1 Chronicles 23 | King James Version (KJV) The King James Version Bible is in the public domain. Numbers 4: God Tells Moses And Aaron To Take A Census Kohathites By Their Clans
1 The Lord said to Moses and Aaron:
2 “Take a census of the Kohathite branch of the Levites by their clans and families.
3 Count all the men from thirty to fifty years of age who come to serve in the work at the tent of meeting.
4 “This is the work of the Kohathites at the tent of meeting: the care of the most holy things.
5 When the camp is to move, Aaron and his sons are to go in and take down the shielding curtain and put it over the ark of the covenant law.
6 Then they are to cover the curtain with a durable leather, spread a cloth of solid blue over that and put the poles in place.
7 “Over the table of the Presence they are to spread a blue cloth and put on it the plates, dishes and bowls, and the jars for drink offerings; the bread that is continually there is to remain on it.
8 They are to spread a scarlet cloth over them, cover that with the durable leather and put the poles in place.
9 “They are to take a blue cloth and cover the lampstand that is for light, together with its lamps, its wick trimmers and trays, and all its jars for the olive oil used to supply it.
10 Then they are to wrap it and all its accessories in a covering of the durable leather and put it on a carrying frame.
11 “Over the gold altar they are to spread a blue cloth and cover that with the durable leather and put the poles in place.
12 “They are to take all the articles used for ministering in the sanctuary, wrap them in a blue cloth, cover that with the durable leather and put them on a carrying frame.
13 “They are to remove the ashes from the bronze altar and spread a purple cloth over it.
14 Then they are to place on it all the utensils used for ministering at the altar, including the firepans, meat forks, shovels and sprinkling bowls. Over it they are to spread a covering of the durable leather and put the poles in place.
15 “After Aaron and his sons have finished covering the holy furnishings and all the holy articles, and when the camp is ready to move, only then are the Kohathites to come and do the carrying. But they must not touch the holy things or they will die. The Kohathites are to carry those things that are in the tent of meeting.
16 “Eleazar son of Aaron, the priest, is to have charge of the oil for the light, the fragrant incense, the regular grain offering and the anointing oil. He is to be in charge of the entire tabernacle and everything in it, including its holy furnishings and articles.”
17 The Lord said to Moses and Aaron,
18 “See that the Kohathite tribal clans are not destroyed from among the Levites.
19 So that they may live and not die when they come near the most holy things, do this for them: Aaron and his sons are to go into the sanctuary and assign to each man his work and what he is to carry.
20 But the Kohathites must not go in to look at the holy things, even for a moment, or they will die.”
The Gershonites
21 The Lord said to Moses,
22 “Take a census also of the Gershonites by their families and clans.
23 Count all the men from thirty to fifty years of age who come to serve in the work at the tent of meeting.
24 “This is the service of the Gershonite clans in their carrying and their other work:
25 They are to carry the curtains of the tabernacle, that is, the tent of meeting, its covering and its outer covering of durable leather, the curtains for the entrance to the tent of meeting,
26 the curtains of the courtyard surrounding the tabernacle and altar, the curtain for the entrance to the courtyard, the ropes and all the equipment used in the service of the tent. The Gershonites are to do all that needs to be done with these things.
27 All their service, whether carrying or doing other work, is to be done under the direction of Aaron and his sons. You shall assign to them as their responsibility all they are to carry.
28 This is the service of the Gershonite clans at the tent of meeting. Their duties are to be under the direction of Ithamar son of Aaron, the priest.
The Merarites
29 “Count the Merarites by their clans and families.
30 Count all the men from thirty to fifty years of age who come to serve in the work at the tent of meeting.
31 As part of all their service at the tent, they are to carry the frames of the tabernacle, its crossbars, posts and bases,
32 as well as the posts of the surrounding courtyard with their bases, tent pegs, ropes, all their equipment and everything related to their use. Assign to each man the specific things he is to carry.
33 This is the service of the Merarite clans as they work at the tent of meeting under the direction of Ithamar son of Aaron, the priest.”
The Numbering of the Levite Clans
34 Moses, Aaron and the leaders of the community counted the Kohathites by their clans and families.
35 All the men from thirty to fifty years of age who came to serve in the work at the tent of meeting,
36 counted by clans, were 2,750.
37 This was the total of all those in the Kohathite clans who served at the tent of meeting. Moses and Aaron counted them according to the Lord’s command through Moses.
38 The Gershonites were counted by their clans and families.
39 All the men from thirty to fifty years of age who came to serve in the work at the tent of meeting,
40 counted by their clans and families, were 2,630.
41 This was the total of those in the Gershonite clans who served at the tent of meeting. Moses and Aaron counted them according to the Lord’s command.
42 The Merarites were counted by their clans and families.
43 All the men from thirty to fifty years of age who came to serve in the work at the tent of meeting,
44 counted by their clans, were 3,200.
45 This was the total of those in the Merarite clans. Moses and Aaron counted them according to the Lord’s command through Moses.
46 So Moses, Aaron and the leaders of Israel counted all the Levites by their clans and families.
47 All the men from thirty to fifty years of age who came to do the work of serving and carrying the tent of meeting
48 numbered 8,580.
49 At the Lord’s command through Moses, each was assigned his work and told what to carry.
Thus they were counted, as the Lord commanded Moses.

"The Fame." From the Book of Ruth 4: 13-17.
Tumblr media
Ruth "the friendly vision" gets married and bears a son to her husband, Boaz. They name him Obed, "the employee", who as it turns out is King David's grandfather. Recall the Shoftim ended stating everyone was running amok because Israel lacked a king. That condition was to persist for two more generations.
Even still the proper process of transmission of our Jewish traditions called Moabites was supposed to have continued. The Book of Ruth says children born in the midst of a traditional Jewish environment have the distinction of one day being called a "guardian redeemer", and attain to fame. We know how that turned out. Fortunately, the story is not over:
Naomi Gains a Son
13 So Boaz took Ruth and she became his wife. When he made love to her, the Lord enabled her to conceive, and she gave birth to a son.
14 The women said to Naomi: “Praise be to the Lord, who this day has not left you without a guardian-redeemer. May he become famous throughout Israel!
15 He will renew your life and sustain you in your old age. For your daughter-in-law, who loves you and who is better to you than seven sons, has given him birth.”
16 Then Naomi took the child in her arms and cared for him. 17 The women living there said, “Naomi has a son!” And they named him Obed. He was the father of Jesse, the father of David.
The Values in Gematria are:
v. 13: The Lord enabled her to conceive, and she gave birth to a son. The Number is 7239, זבגט‎, zavgat, "the zygote." Zygotes are the first stage of the unity between the sperm and the egg. While the occasion is momentous it is not enough to have unity, there must be direction and purpose for the new life.
v. 14: May he become famous throughout all israel. Fame is the subject of Shemeni, which names Four Strengths associated with fame:
Four Strengths.
14 The Lord said to Moses in the Desert of Sinai, 15 “Count the Levites by their families and clans. Count every male a month old or more.” 16 So Moses counted them, as he was commanded by the word of the Lord.
Israelites are sojourners that culminate in Levites, the Dwellers in the Village of the Fountain also called Canaan the Place of Purple.
17 These were the names of the sons of Levi:
Gershon, Kohath and Merari.
Gershon= “sojourner”
Kohath= “congregation”
Merari= “sad, bitter, or strong”
18 These were the names of the Gershonite clans:
Libni and Shimei.
Libni= “white”
Shimei= “that hears, obeys, also reputation or fame.”
The Number is 8679, חוזט‎‎, huzat, "carry out the contract and distribute the wealth."
In addition to the fact all the world's religions require high human rights standards, they are legally required. One cannot toggle in between having and not having, enforcing or not enforcing these standards, which are found in the UN Declaration of Human Rights. Every nation on the planet is expected to uphold the Declaration. Sovereigns, presidents, prime ministers and other public and private individuals who fail to adhere to standards of human equality named in this document can and should be arrested and tried in public.
v15: Who is better than Seven Sons? The Number is 14126, ידיבו‎‎. "His kindness."
Chesed is considered the greatest wealth of a society. As with its major metaphor in Judaism, the only effort required is like milking a cow. Once one cultivates the desire to spread kindness all one has to do is stroke other persons and it flow freely.
v. 16: The Father of David. The number is 7945, ע‎טדה‎ ‎, atda, "be ready, be prepared for the future."
The future is never what it used to be. The world changed dramatically after the Russians were allowed to invade Ukraine, then it changed again after the United States Government allowed Trump supporters, the Mormons to attack Israel on on October 7, 2023 in an attempt to continue its long stalled out holocaust against the Jewish people and frame the world's Muslims for the attack.
Now the future has to include corrective actions for these past mistakes before we can plan on much else, and this, as you have all seen is going slowly, so slowly.
The prophet predicts the return of King David, a commitment to persistent beauty is the answer to all of this. Recall David was the most famous person in the Torah, and this was not an accident.
From Chronicles 14:
13 Once more the Philistines raided the valley; 14 so David inquired of God again, and God answered him, “Do not go directly after them, but circle around them and attack them in front of the poplar trees. 15 As soon as you hear the sound of marching in the tops of the poplar trees, move out to battle, because that will mean God has gone out in front of you to strike the Philistine army.” 16 So David did as God commanded him, and they struck down the Philistine army, all the way from Gibeon to Gezer.
17 So David’s fame spread throughout every land, and the Lord made all the nations fear him.
No one is afraid of the repurcussions of their actions in Ukraine, Israel, or in America where no body knows what the fuck is going on or why. All around the world very stupid people are oppressing the wise and it is supposed to be the other way around. To allow someone dumber than you to oppress you is the very cause of infamy. Now that we know what has to be done to become famous, we should not wait.
These incidents, these issues violate all of our principals. They did from the onset. God told David to destroy his enemies from Gibeon to Gezer, "from the summit down, like a very sharp knife, cut into it until it bleeds balsam."
The world has been remiss, and now it has change. Enough blood has been shed for the purposes of injustice, now just as God says, the tide has to be turned, and then let the balsam, justice and freedom flow.

Chapter 4
1 And the LORD spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying, 2 Take the sum of the sons of Kohath from among the sons of Levi, after their families, by the house of their fathers, 3 From thirty years old and upward even until fifty years old, all that enter into the host, to do the work in the tabernacle of the congregation. 4 This shall be the service of the sons of Kohath in the tabernacle of the congregation, about the most holy things: 5 And when the camp setteth forward, Aaron shall come, and his sons, and they shall take down the covering vail, and cover the ark of testimony with it: 6 And shall put thereon the covering of badgers' skins, and shall spread over it a cloth wholly of blue, and shall put in the staves thereof. 7 And upon the table of shewbread they shall spread a cloth of blue, and put thereon the dishes, and the spoons, and the bowls, and covers to cover withal: and the continual bread shall be thereon: 8 And they shall spread upon them a cloth of scarlet, and cover the same with a covering of badgers' skins, and shall put in the staves thereof. 9 And they shall take a cloth of blue, and cover the candlestick of the light, and his lamps, and his tongs, and his snuffdishes, and all the oil vessels thereof, wherewith they minister unto it: 10 And they shall put it and all the vessels thereof within a covering of badgers' skins, and shall put it upon a bar.
11 And upon the golden altar they shall spread a cloth of blue, and cover it with a covering of badgers' skins, and shall put to the staves thereof: 12 And they shall take all the instruments of ministry, wherewith they minister in the sanctuary, and put them in a cloth of blue, and cover them with a covering of badgers' skins, and shall put them on a bar: 13 And they shall take away the ashes from the altar, and spread a purple cloth thereon: 14 And they shall put upon it all the vessels thereof, wherewith they minister about it, even the censers, the fleshhooks, and the shovels, and the basons, all the vessels of the altar; and they shall spread upon it a covering of badgers' skins, and put to the staves of it. 15 And when Aaron and his sons have made an end of covering the sanctuary, and all the vessels of the sanctuary, as the camp is to set forward; after that, the sons of Kohath shall come to bear it: but they shall not touch any holy thing, lest they die. These things are the burden of the sons of Kohath in the tabernacle of the congregation. 16 And to the office of Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest pertaineth the oil for the light, and the sweet incense, and the daily meat offering, and the anointing oil, and the oversight of all the tabernacle, and of all that therein is, in the sanctuary, and in the vessels thereof. 17 And the LORD spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying, 18 Cut ye not off the tribe of the families of the Kohathites from among the Levites: 19 But thus do unto them, that they may live, and not die, when they approach unto the most holy things: Aaron and his sons shall go in, and appoint them every one to his service and to his burden: 20 But they shall not go in to see when the holy things are covered, lest they die.
21 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, 22 Take also the sum of the sons of Gershon, throughout the houses of their fathers, by their families; 23 From thirty years old and upward until fifty years old shalt thou number them; all that enter in to perform the service, to do the work in the tabernacle of the congregation. 24 This is the service of the families of the Gershonites, to serve, and for burdens: 25 And they shall bear the curtains of the tabernacle, and the tabernacle of the congregation, his covering, and the covering of the badgers' skins that is above upon it, and the hanging for the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, 26 And the hangings of the court, and the hanging for the door of the gate of the court, which is by the tabernacle and by the altar round about, and their cords, and all the instruments of their service, and all that is made for them: so shall they serve. 27 At the appointment of Aaron and his sons shall be all the service of the sons of the Gershonites, in all their burdens, and in all their service: and ye shall appoint unto them in charge all their burdens. 28 This is the service of the families of the sons of Gershon in the tabernacle of the congregation: and their charge shall be under the hand of Ithamar the son of Aaron the priest. 29 As for the sons of Merari, thou shalt number them after their families, by the house of their fathers; 30 From thirty years old and upward even unto fifty years old shalt thou number them, every one that entereth into the service, to do the work of the tabernacle of the congregation.
31 And this is the charge of their burden, according to all their service in the tabernacle of the congregation; the boards of the tabernacle, and the bars thereof, and the pillars thereof, and sockets thereof, 32 And the pillars of the court round about, and their sockets, and their pins, and their cords, with all their instruments, and with all their service: and by name ye shall reckon the instruments of the charge of their burden. 33 This is the service of the families of the sons of Merari, according to all their service, in the tabernacle of the congregation, under the hand of Ithamar the son of Aaron the priest. 34 And Moses and Aaron and the chief of the congregation numbered the sons of the Kohathites after their families, and after the house of their fathers, 35 From thirty years old and upward even unto fifty years old, every one that entereth into the service, for the work in the tabernacle of the congregation: 36 And those that were numbered of them by their families were two thousand seven hundred and fifty. 37 These were they that were numbered of the families of the Kohathites, all that might do service in the tabernacle of the congregation, which Moses and Aaron did number according to the commandment of the LORD by the hand of Moses. 38 And those that were numbered of the sons of Gershon, throughout their families, and by the house of their fathers, 39 From thirty years old and upward even unto fifty years old, every one that entereth into the service, for the work in the tabernacle of the congregation, 40 Even those that were numbered of them, throughout their families, by the house of their fathers, were two thousand and six hundred and thirty.
41 These are they that were numbered of the families of the sons of Gershon, of all that might do service in the tabernacle of the congregation, whom Moses and Aaron did number according to the commandment of the LORD. 42 And those that were numbered of the families of the sons of Merari, throughout their families, by the house of their fathers, 43 From thirty years old and upward even unto fifty years old, every one that entereth into the service, for the work in the tabernacle of the congregation, 44 Even those that were numbered of them after their families, were three thousand and two hundred. 45 These be those that were numbered of the families of the sons of Merari, whom Moses and Aaron numbered according to the word of the LORD by the hand of Moses. 46 All those that were numbered of the Levites, whom Moses and Aaron and the chief of Israel numbered, after their families, and after the house of their fathers, 47 From thirty years old and upward even unto fifty years old, every one that came to do the service of the ministry, and the service of the burden in the tabernacle of the congregation, 48 Even those that were numbered of them, were eight thousand and five hundred and fourscore. 49 According to the commandment of the LORD they were numbered by the hand of Moses, every one according to his service, and according to his burden: thus were they numbered of him, as the LORD commanded Moses.

The Rebels
Now Korah, the son of Izhar, the son of Kohath, the son of Levi, and Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab, and On, the son of Peleth, sons of Reuben, took men: Numbers 16:1
There was an insurrection against Moses and Aaron leadership as appointed by YAHWEH, as a Levite: Korah along with three Reubenites: the brothers Dathan and Abiram, as well a man named On. Scripture sums it up by the words “took men”, indicating that these men were the initial instigators of the rebellion, and they went and stirred up and recruited 250 others to their cause. This relationship between Levites and Reubenites may have resulted from the close association of how the tribes were positioned when they encamped, with Levi camped next to Reuben.
Moses is actually the son of Amram, the son of Kohath; where Amram and Izhar were brothers, making Korah and Moses second cousins![Exodus 6:18-24] The three sons of Levi were Gershon, Merari, and Kohath. These sons were given specific roles that pertain to how the items were transported. The Gershonites and Merarites were given several oxen and wagons to transport the items under their care, but the Kohathites had to carry their items on their shoulders [Numbers 7:7-9] The reason for this was because the Gershonites were responsible for transporting the tent’s covering of badgers skins etc, and the Merarites were responsible to transporting the tent’s pillars sockets and bars etc, but the Kohathites were responsible for transporting the holy items such as the Ark of the Covenant, that was specifically not to be placed on a cart and wagon, as Uzzah found out centuries later, when he was struck dead; indirectly because of David and the priests attempt to transport the Ark to Jerusalem on a cart dragged behind an oxen.
The Kohathites had a privileged position of transporting the Ark of the Covenant, but they appeared to have resented having to carry things on their shoulders. They were also under the direct supervision of Eleazar, son of Aaron[Numbers 3:32]; which may also have been a source of contention. On the surface it appears that these men did not approve of Moses and Aaron being in an exalted position over them. However, if we observe closer we will realize that the issue was more specific, as Korah appears to have specifically envied the high priest office Aaron and his sons were given(Numbers 16:10) This may be the result of not wanting to take instruction from Aaron and his sons (who were actually his cousins). Dathan and Abiram appeared to have envied Moses’ seat as leader of the people [Numbers 16:13; Matthew 23:2]
These were not ordinary random men, but rather were tribal heads and chief among the people. Ironically, the distribution of power and empowerment of tribal chiefs, for better or worse, came about because Moses' father-in-law Jethro wisely advised Moses that it was not practical to judge the entire nation all by himself. Perhaps it’s this taste of authority that was feeding the desire for more power. The delegation of responsibility was not the problem, it was rather the lack of humility of those the authority was delegated to.
On was initially mentioned as one of the original rebels who sought to seize power from those YAH appointed leaders, but appeared to have withdrawn from the conspiracy at some point, because we don't read of him again, nor was he mentioned among those who the earth swallowed up alive. He may have harkened to Moses' plea, or otherwise had a change of heart.
God commanded these four ring leaders, and their 250 co-conspirators to bring censors before the tabernacle, and the angel came down and commanded that the congregation separate themselves from these rebels. The 250 co-conspirators abandoned the four ring leaders saying “they fell upon their faces, and said, O God, the God of the spirits of all flesh, shall one man sin, and wilt thou be wroth with all the congregation?”[Numbers 16:22], to which the angel obliged and showed mercy and allowed them to live and not die. The detail “shall one man sin, and wilt thou be wroth with all” gives indication that the original instigator was the one man Korah.
The original rebels were commanded to stand in front of their tent to which Dathan and Abiram complied, but it appears that Korah refused; and we read that the earth swallowed all his house, family and goods [ Numbers 16:32-33]. It's in the psalms that we read that Dathan and Abiram were also swallowed by the earth [Psalm 106:17] It's hard to believe that these men were all slaves in Egypt, and were not satisfied with being free or anything other than the highest office; but such is the nature of the flesh. In stark contrast, Moses was actually the only adult Hebrew on the wilderness journey that was never a slave, and had to be persuaded with much difficulty to become Israel’s leader.
Although this clearly marked the end of Korah lineage, we discover that Korah’s sons (Assir, and Elkanah, and Abiasaph[Exodus 6:24)] were allowed to live! They were spared, perhaps because they were too young to understand their father’s rebellion, or perhaps were like On who had a change of heart, respected God’s authority, and refrained from joining in the rebellion [Numbers 26:9–11]. God judged those who turned against Him in active rebellion and purified His people, but He still had a purpose and plan for even the line of Korah. After seven successive generations, the prophet Samuel arose from the line of Korah [I Samuel 1:1, 20], and the Korahites became doorkeepers and custodians for the Tabernacle [I Chronicles 9:19–21; I Chronicles 2]. There was even a group of Korahites expert warriors that joined King David in various military exploits [I Chronicles 12:6].
However, the most remarkable thing to note about the sons of Korah is that during the time of King David, they became the great leaders in choral and orchestral music in the tabernacle. Heman the Korahite had a place of great importance as a singer, along with Asaph (a Gershonite) on his right hand, and Ethan or Jeduthan (a Merarite) on his left hand. [I Chronicles 6:33-47].
“Who is a God like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity, and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of his heritage? he retaineth not his anger for ever, because he delighteth in mercy.” - Micah 7:18

Serving for God’s Sake
They are to . . . [fulfil] the obligations of the Israelites by doing the work of the tabernacle. Numbers 3:8
READ Numbers 3:5–9
LISTEN ONLINE
When England’s Queen Elizabeth passed away in September 2022, thousands of soldiers were deployed to march in the funeral procession. Their individual roles must have been almost unnoticeable in the large crowd, but many saw it as the greatest honour. One soldier said it was “an opportunity to do our last duty for Her Majesty”. For him, it was not what he did, but whom he was doing it for that made it an important job.
The Levites assigned to take care of the tabernacle furnishings had a similar aim. Unlike the priests, the Gershonites, Kohathites and Merarites were assigned seemingly mundane tasks: cleaning the furniture, lampstands, curtains, posts, tent pegs and ropes (Numbers 3:25–26, 28, 31, 36–37). Yet their jobs were specifically assigned by God, constituted “doing the work of the tabernacle” (v. 8) and are recorded in the Bible for posterity.
What an encouraging thought! Today, what many of us do at work, at home or in church may seem insignificant to a world that values titles and salaries. But God sees it differently. If we work and serve for His sake—seeking excellence and doing so for His honour, even in the smallest task—then our work is important because we’re serving our great God.
By Leslie Koh
REFLECT & PRAY
How might knowing that you’re ultimately serving God change the way you work? How can you do it with pride and excellence for His sake?
Father, thank You for giving me this opportunity to serve You. Help me to be faithful with the talents and strength You’ve given me to work for You.
SCRIPTURE INSIGHT
Who were the Levites? Levi was the third son of Jacob (Genesis 29:34). The Levites were his descendants through his sons Gershon, Kohath, and Merari (46:11). What was special about this tribe? They were a sacred “special forces” group within the nation who were assigned tabernacle duties. Because of their role in Israel, they were exempt from military service (Numbers 1:44–49). During the period of history that included the portable tabernacle, the Levites alone were tasked with its set up, take down, transport, and protection ( vv. 50–54). Numbers 4:1–33 provides a breakdown of their specific tasks. What considerations were given to the Levites for their services? “I give to the Levites all the tithes in Israel as their inheritance in return for the work they do while serving at the tent of meeting” (18:21).

Offerings for the Temple

1 Furthermore David the king said unto all the congregation, Solomon my son, whom alone God hath chosen, is yet young and tender, and the work is great: for the palace is not for man, but for the Lord God.
2 Now I have prepared with all my might for the house of my God the gold for things to be made of gold, and the silver for things of silver, and the brass for things of brass, the iron for things of iron, and wood for things of wood; onyx stones, and stones to be set, glistering stones, and of divers colours, and all manner of precious stones, and marble stones in abundance.
3 Moreover, because I have set my affection to the house of my God, I have of mine own proper good, of gold and silver, which I have given to the house of my God, over and above all that I have prepared for the holy house.
4 Even three thousand talents of gold, of the gold of Ophir, and seven thousand talents of refined silver, to overlay the walls of the houses withal:
5 The gold for things of gold, and the silver for things of silver, and for all manner of work to be made by the hands of artificers. And who then is willing to consecrate his service this day unto the Lord?
6 Then the chief of the fathers and princes of the tribes of Israel and the captains of thousands and of hundreds, with the rulers of the king's work, offered willingly,
7 And gave for the service of the house of God of gold five thousand talents and ten thousand drams, and of silver ten thousand talents, and of brass eighteen thousand talents, and one hundred thousand talents of iron.
8 And they with whom precious stones were found gave them to the treasure of the house of the Lord, by the hand of Jehiel the Gershonite.
9 Then the people rejoiced, for that they offered willingly, because with perfect heart they offered willingly to the Lord: and David the king also rejoiced with great joy.
10 Wherefore David blessed the Lord before all the congregation: and David said, Blessed be thou, Lord God of Israel our father, for ever and ever.
11 Thine, O Lord is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is thine; thine is the kingdom, O Lord, and thou art exalted as head above all.
12 Both riches and honour come of thee, and thou reignest over all; and in thine hand is power and might; and in thine hand it is to make great, and to give strength unto all.
13 Now therefore, our God, we thank thee, and praise thy glorious name.
14 But who am I, and what is my people, that we should be able to offer so willingly after this sort? for all things come of thee, and of thine own have we given thee.
15 For we are strangers before thee, and sojourners, as were all our fathers: our days on the earth are as a shadow, and there is none abiding.
16 O Lord our God, all this store that we have prepared to build thee an house for thine holy name cometh of thine hand, and is all thine own.
17 I know also, my God, that thou triest the heart, and hast pleasure in uprightness. As for me, in the uprightness of mine heart I have willingly offered all these things: and now have I seen with joy thy people, which are present here, to offer willingly unto thee.
18 O Lord God of Abraham, Isaac, and of Israel, our fathers, keep this for ever in the imagination of the thoughts of the heart of thy people, and prepare their heart unto thee:
19 And give unto Solomon my son a perfect heart, to keep thy commandments, thy testimonies, and thy statutes, and to do all these things, and to build the palace, for the which I have made provision.
20 And David said to all the congregation, Now bless the Lord your God. And all the congregation blessed the Lord God of their fathers, and bowed down their heads, and worshipped the Lord, and the king.
21 And they sacrificed sacrifices unto the Lord, and offered burnt offerings unto the Lord, on the morrow after that day, even a thousand bullocks, a thousand rams, and a thousand lambs, with their drink offerings, and sacrifices in abundance for all Israel:
22 And did eat and drink before the Lord on that day with great gladness. And they made Solomon the son of David king the second time, and anointed him unto the Lord to be the chief governor, and Zadok to be priest.
23 Then Solomon sat on the throne of the Lord as king instead of David his father, and prospered; and all Israel obeyed him.
24 And all the princes, and the mighty men, and all the sons likewise of king David, submitted themselves unto Solomon the king.
25 And the Lord magnified Solomon exceedingly in the sight of all Israel, and bestowed upon him such royal majesty as had not been on any king before him in Israel.
26 Thus David the son of Jesse reigned over all Israel.
27 And the time that he reigned over Israel was forty years; seven years reigned he in Hebron, and thirty and three years reigned he in Jerusalem.
28 And he died in a good old age, full of days, riches, and honour: and Solomon his son reigned in his stead.
29 Now the acts of David the king, first and last, behold, they are written in the book of Samuel the seer, and in the book of Nathan the prophet, and in the book of Gad the seer,
30 With all his reign and his might, and the times that went over him, and over Israel, and over all the kingdoms of the countries. — 1 Chronicles 29 | King James Version (KJV) The King James Version Bible is in the public domain. 1 Kings 2: 36-46. "Home Haircuts."
Tumblr media
36 Then the king sent for Shimei and said to him, “Build yourself a house in Jerusalem and live there, but do not go anywhere else. 37 The day you leave and cross the Kidron Valley, "mourning" you can be sure you will die; your blood will be on your own head.”
38 Shimei answered the king, “What you say is good. Your servant will do as my lord the king has said.” And Shimei stayed in Jerusalem for a long time.
Shimei= Renown. It is one's reputation. One must not come to mourn the loss of one's reputation. This is avoided if one stays in a relationship with the Temple, and works like a dog to keep to its instructions.
The loss of one's reputation and self-esteem is a voluntary act. About this maketh no mistake:
39 But three years later, two of Shimei’s slaves ran off to Achish son of Maakah, king of Gath, and Shimei was told, “Your slaves are in Gath.” 40 At this, he saddled his donkey and went to Achish at Gath in search of his slaves. So Shimei went away and brought the slaves back from Gath.
Achich son of Maakah, "anger, son of the pusher" son of the king of the winepress. Age three is when a child is legally required to get a haircut, meaning he is of age to understand the importance of memorizing his lessons, being obedient and following the rules. He won't do this of course, but one has to start somewhere.
Two slaves means to sell oneself into slavery, probably to an addiction. When one's slaves run off and get drunk out of anger over having to learn their lessons, this is not a good sign.
41 When Solomon was told that Shimei had gone from Jerusalem to Gath and had returned, 42 the king summoned Shimei and said to him, “Did I not make you swear by the Lord and warn you, ‘On the day you leave to go anywhere else, you can be sure you will die’? At that time you said to me, ‘What you say is good. I will obey.’ 43 Why then did you not keep your oath to the Lord and obey the command I gave you?”
44 The king also said to Shimei, “You know in your heart all the wrong you did to my father David. Now the Lord will repay you for your wrongdoing. 45 But King Solomon will be blessed, and David’s throne will remain secure before the Lord forever.”
46 Then the king gave the order to Benaiah son of Jehoiada, and he went out and struck Shimei down and he died. The kingdom was now established in Solomon’s hands.
Shimei "fame" is a Gershonite. The two slaves are not named but the Clan of Gershon itself contains elements Solomon expected his name to remain intact and this involves the upkeep of the Gershonites, Kohathites, and Merarites, all classes of Levites:
17 These were the names of the sons of Levi:
Gershon, Kohath and Merari.
Gershon= “sojourner”
Kohath= “congregation”
Merari= “sad, bitter, or strong”
18 These were the names of the Gershonite clans:
Libni and Shimei.
Libni= “white”
Shimei= “that hears, obeys, also reputation or fame.”
19 The Kohathite clans:
Kohathite= care of the temple vessels
Amram, Izhar, Hebron and Uzziel.
Amram= “rising nation”
Izhar= “sparkles”
Hebron= “colleague”
Uzziel= “God is my strength”
20 The Merarite clans:
Merarite= “sad, bitter, strong”
Mahli and Mushi.
Mahli= “infinity, a harp, pardon”.
Mushi= “touches, withdraws, or takes away”
"Sojourners who congregate, who are strong, noble, and listen to one another rise into a nation of Godly colleagues. Nothing can take away their peace."
These were the Levite clans, according to their families.
21 To Gershon belonged the clans of the Libnites "purities" and Shimeites "fames"; these were the Gershonite clans. 22 The number of all the males a month old or more who were counted was 7,500, ז‎ה‎ק‎, zahak, "to speak with reverence."
23 The Gershonite clans were to camp on the west, behind the tabernacle. 24 The leader of the families of the Gershonites was Eliasaph son of Lael “belongs to God”. 25 At the tent of meeting the Gershonites were responsible for the care of the tabernacle and tent, its coverings, the curtain at the entrance to the tent of meeting, 26 the curtains of the courtyard, the curtain at the entrance to the courtyard surrounding the tabernacle and altar, and the ropes—and everything related to their use.
"Behind the Wall of Enlightenment are wise men who preserve the culture and process of sound government and protect the God Given rights of the people to speak and be heard."
27 To Kohath "The congregation" belonged the clans of the Amramites "enthralled", Izharites "He will produce oil", Hebronites "friends" and Uzzielites "strong men"; these were the Kohathite clans. 28 The number of all the males a month old or more was 8,600.[c], חו‎ק‎ "by law."
The Kohathites were responsible for the care of the sanctuary. 29 The Kohathite clans were to camp on the south side of the tabernacle.
30 The leader of the families of the Kohathite clans was Elizaphan son of Uzziel. 31 They were responsible for the care of the ark, the table, the lampstand, the altars, the articles of the sanctuary used in ministering, the curtain, and everything related to their use.
32 The chief leader of the Levites was Eleazar "helpful" son of Aaron, the priest. He was appointed over those who were responsible for the care of the sanctuary.
"Men who awaken others in the congregation are strong, very friendly and produce oil. They help each other out."
33 To Merari "bitter strong" belonged the clans of the Mahlites "those who entreat" and the Mushites "those who touch"; these were the Merarite clans. 34 The number of all the males a month old or more who were counted was 6,200,ו‎בק‎ "the firstborn of Israel."
35 The leader of the families of the Merarite clans was Zuriel "God is a rock" son of Abihail "might of the father" ; they were to camp on the north side of the tabernacle.
"Those who touch the Face of God, who wield the might of His Instructions they are to entreat the others to follow them to the Rock."
36 The Merarites were appointed to take care of the frames of the tabernacle, its crossbars, posts, bases, all its equipment, and everything related to their use, 37 as well as the posts of the surrounding courtyard with their bases, tent pegs and ropes.
38 Moses and Aaron and his sons were to camp to the east of the tabernacle, toward the sunrise, in front of the tent of meeting. They were responsible for the care of the sanctuary on behalf of the Israelites. Anyone else who approached the sanctuary was to be put to death.
39 The total number of Levites counted at the Lord’s command by Moses and Aaron according to their clans, including every male a month old or more, was 22,000, זדטח, zadah,  meaning open field or pasture land (Genesis 29:2) or home of wild beasts (Genesis 4:8, Jeremiah 14:5).
"The young, who are bitter strong, ignorant, smelly and stubborn, who are waking up, must read and study the Parshiot and invoke the Foundation of the religion. Anyone who remains in the darkness, who chooses not to be sentient is abomination. They are are dead."
=
No wild beasts, addicted slaves, bitter strong smells, no deaths by home haircuts, and life in the Kingdom goes on.

Numbers 3: God Commands Moses To Designate The Tribe Of Levi To Assist Aaron With His Duties
1 This is the account of the family of Aaron and Moses at the time the Lord spoke to Moses at Mount Sinai.
2 The names of the sons of Aaron were Nadab the firstborn and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar.
3 Those were the names of Aaron’s sons, the anointed priests, who were ordained to serve as priests.
4 Nadab and Abihu, however, died before the Lord when they made an offering with unauthorized fire before him in the Desert of Sinai. They had no sons, so Eleazar and Ithamar served as priests during the lifetime of their father Aaron.
5 The Lord said to Moses,
6 “Bring the tribe of Levi and present them to Aaron the priest to assist him.
7 They are to perform duties for him and for the whole community at the tent of meeting by doing the work of the tabernacle.
8 They are to take care of all the furnishings of the tent of meeting, fulfilling the obligations of the Israelites by doing the work of the tabernacle.
9 Give the Levites to Aaron and his sons; they are the Israelites who are to be given wholly to him.
10 Appoint Aaron and his sons to serve as priests; anyone else who approaches the sanctuary is to be put to death.”
11 The Lord also said to Moses,
12 “I have taken the Levites from among the Israelites in place of the first male offspring of every Israelite woman. The Levites are mine,
13 for all the firstborn are mine. When I struck down all the firstborn in Egypt, I set apart for myself every firstborn in Israel, whether human or animal. They are to be mine. I am the Lord.”
14 The Lord said to Moses in the Desert of Sinai,
15 “Count the Levites by their families and clans. Count every male a month old or more.”
16 So Moses counted them, as he was commanded by the word of the Lord.
17 These were the names of the sons of Levi:
Gershon, Kohath and Merari.
18 These were the names of the Gershonite clans:
Libni and Shimei.
19 The Kohathite clans:
Amram, Izhar, Hebron and Uzziel.
20 The Merarite clans:
Mahli and Mushi.
These were the Levite clans, according to their families.
21 To Gershon belonged the clans of the Libnites and Shimeites; these were the Gershonite clans.
22 The number of all the males a month old or more who were counted was 7,500.
23 The Gershonite clans were to camp on the west, behind the tabernacle.
24 The leader of the families of the Gershonites was Eliasaph son of Lael.
25 At the tent of meeting the Gershonites were responsible for the care of the tabernacle and tent, its coverings, the curtain at the entrance to the tent of meeting,
26 the curtains of the courtyard, the curtain at the entrance to the courtyard surrounding the tabernacle and altar, and the ropes—and everything related to their use.
27 To Kohath belonged the clans of the Amramites, Izharites, Hebronites and Uzzielites; these were the Kohathite clans.
28 The number of all the males a month old or more was 8,600.
32 The chief leader of the Levites was Eleazar son of Aaron, the priest. He was appointed over those who were responsible for the care of the sanctuary.
33 To Merari belonged the clans of the Mahlites and the Mushites; these were the Merarite clans.
34 The number of all the males a month old or more who were counted was 6,200.
35 The leader of the families of the Merarite clans was Zuriel son of Abihail; they were to camp on the north side of the tabernacle.
36 The Merarites were appointed to take care of the frames of the tabernacle, its crossbars, posts, bases, all its equipment, and everything related to their use,
37 as well as the posts of the surrounding courtyard with their bases, tent pegs and ropes.
38 Moses and Aaron and his sons were to camp to the east of the tabernacle, toward the sunrise, in front of the tent of meeting. They were responsible for the care of the sanctuary on behalf of the Israelites. Anyone else who approached the sanctuary was to be put to death.
39 The total number of Levites counted at the Lord’s command by Moses and Aaron according to their clans, including every male a month old or more, was 22,000.
40 The Lord said to Moses, “Count all the firstborn Israelite males who are a month old or more and make a list of their names.
41 Take the Levites for me in place of all the firstborn of the Israelites, and the livestock of the Levites in place of all the firstborn of the livestock of the Israelites. I am the Lord.”
42 So Moses counted all the firstborn of the Israelites, as the Lord commanded him.
43 The total number of firstborn males a month old or more, listed by name, was 22,273.
44 The Lord also said to Moses,
45 “Take the Levites in place of all the firstborn of Israel, and the livestock of the Levites in place of their livestock. The Levites are to be mine. I am the Lord.
46 To redeem the 273 firstborn Israelites who exceed the number of the Levites,
47 collect five shekels for each one, according to the sanctuary shekel, which weighs twenty gerahs.
48 Give the money for the redemption of the additional Israelites to Aaron and his sons.”
49 So Moses collected the redemption money from those who exceeded the number redeemed by the Levites.
50 From the firstborn of the Israelites he collected silver weighing 1,365 shekels, according to the sanctuary shekel.
51 Moses gave the redemption money to Aaron and his sons, as he was commanded by the word of the Lord.

2 Chronicles 29: 12-14. "The Coney."
Tumblr media
Levites maintain the "pasture" and ensure Jewish Towns observe the Jubilee. From Behar:
32 “‘The Levites "people of unity" always have the right to redeem their houses in the Levitical towns, which they possess.
33 So the property of the Levites is redeemable—that is, a house sold in any town they hold—and is to be returned in the Jubilee, because the houses in the towns of the Levites are their property among the Israelites.
34 But the pastureland belonging to their towns must not be sold; it is their permanent possession.
-> Pastureland, houses owned in towns of unity, where resources and virtues alike are shared, these are the hallmarks of a permanent Jubilee, which takes place after the 7th year and the Seven Crops are harvested.
This section of the Tanakh elaborates on the role of the Levites in awakening the traditions associated with the Harvest and the Jubilee:
12 Then these Levites set to work:
from the Kohathites, "The Congregation."
Mahath son of Amasai and Joel son of Azariah;
Mahath= to snatch up the censer and end the fear,
Amasai= to carry the burden
Joel= (ya'al) to benefit
Azariah= turn to the Assembly for help
from the Merarites, "Strong like Myrrh." "The use of the intellect when the subjective fails."
Kish son of Abdi and Azariah son of Jehallelel;
Kish= fowl them in with enticements
Abdi= turn them from slaves into experts
Azariah=to carry the burden
Jehallelel=and they will rejoice, they will praise God who Flashes the Light.
from the Gershonites, "To drive away the outliers,"
Joah son of Zimmah and Eden son of Joah;
ya'ah=One onto another*
Zimmah= plot and scheme
Eden= the finery and luxury
Root עדן ('eden) has to do with free exchange of broadly diverse information, services and goods — which is where wealth comes from, in the modern understanding of economy. Nouns עדן ('eden), עדנה ('edna) and מעדן (ma'adan) mean delight, finery or luxury. Adjective עדין ('adin) means delightful or luxurious. Verb עדן ('adan) means to luxuriate or to delight.
ya'ah=one unto another
13 from the descendants of Elizaphan,
Elizaphan= What God has Hidden, like a Rabbit in its hole
Verb צפן (sapan) means to hide or store up. Nouns צפין (sapin) and מצפון (maspon) describe a mass of predominantly static wealth. Noun צפון (sapon) means north, as for unexplained reasons the Bible considers the north a place of gathering. Noun or adjective צפוני (seponi) means northern or northern one.
Verb שפן (shapan) isn't used in the Bible but in cognate languages it means to hide. Noun שפן (shapan) describes a kind of cud-chewing, rock-dwelling animal with no divided hoofs, commonly (rather oddly) interpreted as rock-badger or Coney (rabbit).
The Gematria for verse 13 = 2271, 20+2+7+1= ךב‎ז‎א "do it like this."
Shimri and Jeiel;
Shimri=Keep great care
Jeiel= to live life between the Elements
חיה
The verb חיה (haya) means to live and life is all about resonance between elements — molecules working together to make a living cell, cells working together to make a living organism and human minds working together to make a living nation.
Adjective חי (hay) means living and adjective חיה (hayeh) means lively. Noun חיה (hayya) means life or living thing, and may also be used to describe a vibrant community. Plural noun חיים (hayyim) literally means livings but describes the whole palette of activities a living being engages in: one's making-a-living.
from the descendants of Asaph, "The gathering of the summer fruit"
Zechariah and Mattaniah;
Zecharaiah= gathering the spoils of war
Noun זכר (zeker) means remembrance, memory, memorial or invocation. Noun זכרון (zikkaron) or זכרן (zikkaron) denotes a memorial or token — a memorial day, altar-plates, stones, crowns, books, proof of citizenship, even spoils of war. Noun אזכרה ('azkara) refers to a memorial-offering.
Mattaniah=transform the situation, stimulate a vivid way of life, one that is pleasing
14 from the descendants of Heman, "support faitfhulness, verily and truly"
Jehiel and Shimei;
Jehiel=engage in the whole pallette of activities
Shimei=Understand, obey, and speak the truth, cause the public to listen to the truth
from the descendants of Jeduthun, "Be praiseworthy"
From the verb הוד (hod), meaning to be praise-worthy, comes the noun הוד (hod), meaning splendor, majesty, vigor, glory or honor.
Shemaiah and Uzziel.
Shemaiah= Speak God's Words
Uzziel=And be strong
*the concept of ya'ah alludes to the Christ, the only way God can complete the relationship as Father is for Him to also be our Brother and participate directly in the evolution of our Jewish Ancestry. There is plenty of early evidence of this.
All of this completes a Torah Tantra, which reads:
"To end the fear, the congregation must turn to the Israelites, light the Incense and tap into the Ancestry.
Myrrh turns slaves into experts, it encites them with freedom and sovereignty, it Flashes the Light and drives away the boogers.
Plot and scheme to enter Eden and return to the luxuries, one after the other, find what God has hidden like a rabbit in its hole and share what is found.
Then take great care to live between the mysteries, keeping the Observances, creating a vibrant community, a living contiguous nation.
Set up memorials, a system of citizenship, and use the Tokens to transform the way of life. The nature of the Crown, the government, commerce, the work and its dividends, all of these things must be conquered.
Support faithfulness and always speak the truth. From the truth comes courage, strength and vigor, all of God's Majesties."
All of this refers to the Torah's instructions called "Behar", "To be the best."
13 “‘In this Year of Jubilee everyone is to return to their own property.
-> this refers to hypocrisy. Farm your own plot. Let go of the desire to run other people's lives the desire to live forever, called shimta in Hebrew, and live your own life free of delusion called jubilee. The Torah says to do this every fifty years but really, we shouldn't covet anything, ever.
see: https://www.myjewishlearning.com/article/sabbatical-year-shemitah-and-jubilee-year-yovel/
14 “‘If you sell land to any of your own people or buy land from them, do not take advantage of each other.
15 You are to buy from your own people on the basis of the number of years since the Jubilee. And they are to sell to you on the basis of the number of years left for harvesting crops.
16 When the years are many, you are to increase the price, and when the years are few, you are to decrease the price, because what is really being sold to you is the number of crops.
17 Do not take advantage of each other, but fear your God. I am the Lord your God.
-> Crops consist of Seven Species:
Day 1: Wheat is kindness. It is human food.
Day 2: Barley, Godliness is animal food.
Day 3: Grapes are culture.
Day 4: Figs are beauty.
Day 5: Pomegranates are righteousness.
Day 6: Olives are the general welfare.
Day 7: Dates are a symbol of the completed creation, one that is ready and able to sustain itself ad infinitum. Dates are really what we are farming when we decide to stop coveting.
18 “‘Follow my decrees and be careful to obey my laws, and you will live safely in the land.
19 Then the land will yield its fruit, and you will eat your fill and live there in safety.
20 You may ask, “What will we eat in the seventh year if we do not plant or harvest our crops?”
21 I will send you such a blessing in the sixth year that the land will yield enough for three years.
22 While you plant during the eighth year, you will eat from the old crop and will continue to eat from it until the harvest of the ninth year comes in.
-> do not go back to Egypt, do not go back in time to your youth.
23 “‘The land must not be sold permanently, because the land is mine and you reside in my land as foreigners and strangers.
24 Throughout the land that you hold as a possession, you must provide for the redemption of the land.

Chapter 3
1 These also are the generations of Aaron and Moses in the day that the LORD spake with Moses in mount Sinai. 2 And these are the names of the sons of Aaron; Nadab the firstborn, and Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar. 3 These are the names of the sons of Aaron, the priests which were anointed, whom he consecrated to minister in the priest's office. 4 And Nadab and Abihu died before the LORD, when they offered strange fire before the LORD, in the wilderness of Sinai, and they had no children: and Eleazar and Ithamar ministered in the priest's office in the sight of Aaron their father. 5 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, 6 Bring the tribe of Levi near, and present them before Aaron the priest, that they may minister unto him. 7 And they shall keep his charge, and the charge of the whole congregation before the tabernacle of the congregation, to do the service of the tabernacle. 8 And they shall keep all the instruments of the tabernacle of the congregation, and the charge of the children of Israel, to do the service of the tabernacle. 9 And thou shalt give the Levites unto Aaron and to his sons: they are wholly given unto him out of the children of Israel. 10 And thou shalt appoint Aaron and his sons, and they shall wait on their priest's office: and the stranger that cometh nigh shall be put to death.
11 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, 12 And I, behold, I have taken the Levites from among the children of Israel instead of all the firstborn that openeth the matrix among the children of Israel: therefore the Levites shall be mine; 13 Because all the firstborn are mine; for on the day that I smote all the firstborn in the land of Egypt I hallowed unto me all the firstborn in Israel, both man and beast: mine shall they be: I am the LORD. 14 And the LORD spake unto Moses in the wilderness of Sinai, saying, 15 Number the children of Levi after the house of their fathers, by their families: every male from a month old and upward shalt thou number them. 16 And Moses numbered them according to the word of the LORD, as he was commanded. 17 And these were the sons of Levi by their names; Gershon, and Kohath, and Merari. 18 And these are the names of the sons of Gershon by their families; Libni, and Shimei. 19 And the sons of Kohath by their families; Amram, and Izehar, Hebron, and Uzziel. 20 And the sons of Merari by their families; Mahli, and Mushi. These are the families of the Levites according to the house of their fathers.
21 Of Gershon was the family of the Libnites, and the family of the Shimites: these are the families of the Gershonites. 22 Those that were numbered of them, according to the number of all the males, from a month old and upward, even those that were numbered of them were seven thousand and five hundred. 23 The families of the Gershonites shall pitch behind the tabernacle westward. 24 And the chief of the house of the father of the Gershonites shall be Eliasaph the son of Lael. 25 And the charge of the sons of Gershon in the tabernacle of the congregation shall be the tabernacle, and the tent, the covering thereof, and the hanging for the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, 26 And the hangings of the court, and the curtain for the door of the court, which is by the tabernacle, and by the altar round about, and the cords of it for all the service thereof. 27 And of Kohath was the family of the Amramites, and the family of the Izeharites, and the family of the Hebronites, and the family of the Uzzielites: these are the families of the Kohathites. 28 In the number of all the males, from a month old and upward, were eight thousand and six hundred, keeping the charge of the sanctuary. 29 The families of the sons of Kohath shall pitch on the side of the tabernacle southward. 30 And the chief of the house of the father of the families of the Kohathites shall be Elizaphan the son of Uzziel.
31 And their charge shall be the ark, and the table, and the candlestick, and the altars, and the vessels of the sanctuary wherewith they minister, and the hanging, and all the service thereof. 32 And Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest shall be chief over the chief of the Levites, and have the oversight of them that keep the charge of the sanctuary. 33 Of Merari was the family of the Mahlites, and the family of the Mushites: these are the families of Merari. 34 And those that were numbered of them, according to the number of all the males, from a month old and upward, were six thousand and two hundred. 35 And the chief of the house of the father of the families of Merari was Zuriel the son of Abihail: these shall pitch on the side of the tabernacle northward. 36 And under the custody and charge of the sons of Merari shall be the boards of the tabernacle, and the bars thereof, and the pillars thereof, and the sockets thereof, and all the vessels thereof, and all that serveth thereto, 37 And the pillars of the court round about, and their sockets, and their pins, and their cords. 38 But those that encamp before the tabernacle toward the east, even before the tabernacle of the congregation eastward, shall be Moses, and Aaron and his sons, keeping the charge of the sanctuary for the charge of the children of Israel; and the stranger that cometh nigh shall be put to death. 39 All that were numbered of the Levites, which Moses and Aaron numbered at the commandment of the LORD, throughout their families, all the males from a month old and upward, were twenty and two thousand. 40 And the LORD said unto Moses, Number all the firstborn of the males of the children of Israel from a month old and upward, and take the number of their names.
41 And thou shalt take the Levites for me (I am the LORD) instead of all the firstborn among the children of Israel; and the cattle of the Levites instead of all the firstlings among the cattle of the children of Israel. 42 And Moses numbered, as the LORD commanded him, all the firstborn among the children of Israel. 43 And all the firstborn males by the number of names, from a month old and upward, of those that were numbered of them, were twenty and two thousand two hundred and threescore and thirteen. 44 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, 45 Take the Levites instead of all the firstborn among the children of Israel, and the cattle of the Levites instead of their cattle; and the Levites shall be mine: I am the LORD. 46 And for those that are to be redeemed of the two hundred and threescore and thirteen of the firstborn of the children of Israel, which are more than the Levites; 47 Thou shalt even take five shekels apiece by the poll, after the shekel of the sanctuary shalt thou take them: (the shekel is twenty gerahs:) 48 And thou shalt give the money, wherewith the odd number of them is to be redeemed, unto Aaron and to his sons. 49 And Moses took the redemption money of them that were over and above them that were redeemed by the Levites: 50 Of the firstborn of the children of Israel took he the money; a thousand three hundred and threescore and five shekels, after the shekel of the sanctuary: 51 And Moses gave the money of them that were redeemed unto Aaron and to his sons, according to the word of the LORD, as the LORD commanded Moses.

1 Chronicles 29: 6-9. "The Golden Quest."
Tumblr media
6 Then the leaders of families, the officers of the tribes of Israel, the commanders of thousands and commanders of hundreds, and the officials in charge of the king’s work gave willingly.
We just learned who these people are: they are the learned characteristics passed along by an entire race from time immemorial in writing, practice, profession, and learned realizations. One race of persons has had the longevity and the proclivity for this and they are all Jews.
The leaders of the families are the 12 Tribes and the Gershonites, Kohathites and Merarites, AKA the Officials.
Centered around the instruction in the meanings of the Tribes, the Gatekeepers, the Musicians, all the sacred professions are these persons called Kohens whose duty is to ensure they are taught and demonstrated without adulteration.
The product of the Kohen "teacher of the knowledge" is a Levite, "connected to the knowledge" and from thence come Palace Officials "Owners of the Legacy." The other class of Jew is called a Prophet, an interpreter of the mysteries of Judaism, AKA Kabbalists.
All of these are gathered together into a group called a Kohath, AKA the Congregation. The Kohath, inside the Jew and inside all Jews leads to the independent creation of what is called a Harran, "one who is burnt" and this leads to a kind of saint called a Horite, "a central furnace", which are the independent visionaries of the Jewish tradition.
Recall also how the Tanakh, the container for this information is on a scale. The previous slide mentioned the contributions of the King to the Temple, now we are going to examine how the categories mentioned above roleplay with Him:
7 They gave toward the work on the temple of God five thousand talents[d] and ten thousand darics[e] of gold, ten thousand talents[f] of silver, eighteen thousand talents[g] of bronze and a hundred thousand talents[h] of iron.
8 Anyone who had precious stones gave them to the treasury of the temple of the Lord in the custody of Jehiel the Gershonite.
9 The people rejoiced at the willing response of their leaders, for they had given freely and wholeheartedly to the Lord. David the king also rejoiced greatly.
Jehiel the Gershonite= "The bond between sophisticated persons that drives away the low-born."
The Tanakh says the bond is created by these tens and hundreds of thousands of "talents" worth in wood, precious metals, and precious stones.
Gematria is clearly at work:
5,000 talents of gold= What is unseen.
10,000 darics of gold=What is fixed, what can be found in any direction using the Compass. A daric is worth one month's pay.
10,000 talents of silver= The Word made flesh. What is learned during the translation between what is Hidden and what is Seen becomes the flesh of a sentient being and thus should be commonplace.
18,000 talents of bronze= When all of this silver starts flashing around, the Hebrew Race is born.
100,000 talents of iron= The Golden Quest, the Future becomes ours to shape according to the present purposes of the Hebrew People.

They gave for the service of the house of God five thousand talents and ten thousand darics of gold, ten thousand talents of silver, eighteen thousand talents of bronze, and one hundred thousand talents of iron. Whoever had precious stones gave them to the treasury of the house of the LORD, into the care of Jehiel the Gershonite. Then the people rejoiced because these had given willingly, for with single mind they had offered freely to the LORD; King David also rejoiced greatly. ~1 Chronicles 29:7-9
