im realizing all cult classic sitcoms from the 80s and 90s had a Surprisingly Supportive season one gay episode but you know the one from golden girls was really sweet

#it was just like bea arthurs friend from college who lost her wife a few years ago #and sure there were a few bait and switch lesbian reveals/jokes but ALL of them made me laugh #and it was just sweet it was just this middle aged lady realizing it was ok to fall in love again.......even if it wasnt reciprocated #it still meant something to her to realize she could fall in love after being widowed it was a very universal middle aged story #also betty white was really funny in it #the FRASIER gay episodes are crazy though how did they get patrick stewart to do that. like FRESH off from tng
