A/N: Hope everyone is enjoying their holidays. This gift is for the lovely @loving-the-cambridges who's also taking part of the Life Day Gift Exchange by @cloneficgiftexchange . Your little prompts are fanfic heaven for me so I hope I incorporated them to your liking, albeit with the twists I made to them. And I am so so sorry for the slight delay friend!!! Happy Reading :D
P.S. It's overdue by a year but I'm also writing this for the @clonexreaderbingo challenge (which was about a year ago).
As the festivities continue, you look to the sky and find yourself meditating on the constellations twinkling high above the laughter and dancing. You wander along the edge of the celebrations, the sound of music and enthusiastic drinking fading into the background and pushing a smile onto your features. You watch as the 501st relax with the people of Dondri, and if you didn’t know better, you would think this was another normal rotation for them. But as all things, the joy goes as quickly as it comes when you look towards one particular member of the legion and find him standing near the Prince, his eyes scanning the crowd to ensure the safety of the royal family.
Maker, it truly was unfair how effortlessly attractive that man was. Whatever he was doing, even if he was merely lounging or standing quietly and doing nothing, he looked absolutely exquisite. And with every ounce of your being, you wished you were only physically attracted to him. But the opposite was true; the genuine dedication and care he upheld with everything that he did was what first caught your eye. Never have you met someone as tender and responsible as him. It would have been so much easier if you just found him objectively handsome, but like everything you’ve had to reevaluate recently, you knew whatever emotions stirring within you each time you are in his presence were based on more than his looks. It was such a dangerous thought process though, because for the first time since you were knighted, you genuinely debated ignoring the rules and confessing to him your feelings. He was everything you could ever want and so much more.
Too bad he couldn’t stand the sight of you.
It was so unfortunate, but perhaps it was for the best. Maybe if the feelings were mutual, things would have been more complicated, more so for him than for you. So much would have been at stake, the most important being his position and well-being. But a part of you secretly hoped that he, at least, tolerated working with you. And you would have thought he did, if it weren’t for the fact that he tended to leave every time you were in the same room. Each suggestion you made, he would meet with some bit of hostility, not disrespect, but just irritation at the prospect of carrying out your commands. It was horrible.
Yet it made you want him all the more. He had a sense of honor that he upheld more than most, a trait that was rare during these times. A characteristic that made you avoid him at every chance you could so as to not make him uncomfortable. You were not his General, but you were a General, one that he would have no choice but respect publicly. It made no sense to limit his whereabouts, certainly not during a time like this.
Which is how you found yourself walking away each time he joined your company. If you were discussing an issue or two with Anakin and he joined, you would excuse yourself, telling both men that they could handle whatever the problem was without your help. If you were playing sabbac with Fives and Kix, and he sat beside them, you would feign a headache and leave, letting them know that you would get some rest. And if you were hanging around the royal family, learning about the Life Day Celebrations on their planet and saw him walking towards you, you would let them know that you were to make rounds for the night and exit the room, not once looking back as you left him behind. Granted, it made things especially difficult since you needed to discuss much with the Prince and his sister, and he was, somehow, always around you when you were with them, but you didn’t want to accidentally offend him further.
Whatever grudge he held against you did not need to grow simply because of your ego.
No. It was best you watched him from afar. It had to be.
You make your way towards one particularly large tree, hiding behind it in order to look at the man without anyone noticing. Always putting his job before anything else, Rex stands firmly in his place, arms crossed in front of him and lips pouting in attention. You allow your eyes to move down his form, and silently curse yourself when you realize where your mind may be racing towards.
“Stare any harder and he might magically appear in front of you.” You shut your eyes and drop your face forward to hide the heated flush making its way towards your cheeks. Of course he knew where you’d be standing, and who you’d be daydreaming about.
“Shouldn’t you be talking to the Prince about his involvement in the war?” You begrudgingly hiss at him, knowing that your reaction will be adding fuel to the fire.
“Shouldn’t you?” Anakin retorts instantly, making you wish you weren’t chosen for this mission.
“I would, except everyone on this planet is currently into their third cup of Corellian whiskey so I highly doubt anyone will be paying attention.” You finally turn around and face Anakin, already hating the smirk on his face when he notices how flustered you are.
“Funny, that’s exactly why I’m not talking to him either.” He steps in front of you and rests his weight on the tree, throwing back a cup of maker knows what before handing it to you.
“No, thank you.”
“You need it more than I do,” he shoves it one last time into your hands, nodding in victory when you take it and drink the rest of it down. You wince at the bitter taste but silently thank him for handing it to you. Neither of you say anything for a while, more entertained by the shenanigans of your men as they made absolute fools of themselves in front of the Dondrians.
“You should really talk to him.” The sentiment irritates you more than it should. You know he means well, but given the circumstances, and who you were, you found the suggestion a little insensitive.
“I’ll keep that in mind, good night.” You hand him back the cup, hand ensuring that your weapon is still on your hip before moving across the crowds. You don’t dare make eye contact with anyone, afraid they’d drag you into whatever game they were playing and force you to stay longer.
But as you strut past your friends, something slowly pushes against the back of your mind, nagging you until you halt in your steps and study the forest. You stare across the groups of celebrations, turning around just in time to see Anakin running through his men. You push through the drunk masses, and only when you’re a few steps away from the royal family do you hear the high-pitched sound of a blaster going off.
Without thinking much of the consequences, you sprint towards the upper table and violently shove Rex out of the way, shutting your eyes in pain when the blaster hits your side and barely misses the Prince and his sister. The joyful laughter quickly turns into panicked cries, and you look down at the two members of the family you were meant to be watching closely, praying to the maker that neither of them are injured or else this diplomatic journey would turn into a political nightmare.
“Are you hurt?” You ask them both, sighing in relief when they pat each other down and realize that neither of them were hit.
“Stay down,” you order the two of them, standing to your full height and igniting your lightsaber, but not before glancing to the side to make sure that Rex was unharmed. You feel your heart skip a beat when you find his eyes and see the anger swimming in them.
“Don’t leave their side,” you tell Rex before taking off, already regretting the argument you will surely have with him when everything calms down. As if you needed to give him more reasons to dislike you. You will yourself to focus on finding the assassin, stopping in front of a group of clones to see which of them can follow you.
“If you haven’t been drinking, follow me. The rest of you look after these people.” Five men stand to their feet at your command, already putting their helmets on to try and see where they should head. A part of you knows that you may have already lost this hunter in the crowd but you try to find him regardless, knowing that the celebrations may come to a halt and cause even more unrest with the Dondrians if you don’t at least try to find anything about him.
You run towards the cluster of trees high on the hills, certain that it was the best vantage point where you can see everything unfolding within the crowds. But with each step you take, you feel the wound on your side burn in anger, begging you to take a moment of respite before resuming any movement.
“You’ve been hit,” you don’t mean to snap at him, but Anakin’s remark sends you in a fit of irritation and you smack his hand away when he tries to move your robe to the side to get a better look at the bleeding gash.
“No shit, genius.” His eyes narrow at your tone, but you know he isn’t taking any offense to your little outburst. You’re about to head to higher ground when you feel a hand grab at your arm and pull you back.
“Enough, you and I both know we won’t find him. Not now at least. Come on.” He motions for his men to stand down, and they all look between you and him before they head down the hill first. As much as you hate to admit it, you know Anakin’s right, and you reluctantly sheath your lightsaber again before following him towards the calming throngs of people surrounding the royal family. As you bump into the soldiers, you do your best to refrain from reacting to the searing pain beating at your side, knowing that Anakin will make sure Kix doesn’t allow you to so much as breathe the wrong way. You couldn’t afford getting his attention, not when you could feel the eyes of a certain clone staring daggers into the back of your head as you paused and stood in front of him to speak with the Prince. You see him engage in a conversation with Anakin, worried at the prospect of anyone in his family getting hurt due to his recent change in political stance.
“While I can appreciate the importance of this issue, we need to get you inside.” You turn between him and your old friend, waiting quietly until they acknowledge your suggestion before moving behind them towards the gate of the city. Making sure that each member of the inner circle is accompanied by a couple of your men, you stay back to rest your side, turning your eyes to the sky in an attempt to focus on anything but the excruciating burning beating at your skin. You’re almost distracted too when you feel a hand rest on your back while another holds your upper arm.
“You need to go to medbay.” The calm, soothing voice of none other than the man you’ve been doing your best to avoid signals a wave of heat to course across your body, and before you can try and argue with him, you feel lightheaded, the adrenaline finally leaving your body completely with nothing but a faint memory of what had happened. You brace yourself on his shoulders, shaking your head and furrowing your eyebrows at him when you look up and see the angry grimace from before returning with a vengeance.
“If it’s all the same to you Captain, I think it’s best I just go and rest. No need for medbay.” You try to let go of his shoulders but as soon as you take a step back, your body sways and nearly falls over. His arms brace against him, and had you been a little more present, maybe a little more mischievous, you would have asked him to buy you dinner first. But you weren’t too conscious of what was happening, so you accept the help quietly, not bothering to say anything even when Kix comes around and supports your weight as well.
“With all due respect sir, Rex may not outrank you, but I do…when it comes to your wellbeing at least. Come on.” You miss the way he looks at Rex, and you definitely don’t notice Rex’s clenched jaw as he reluctantly lets go and makes sure you won’t fall over. And you unfortunately don’t see the look Rex gives you, guilty that you felt the need to push him out of harm’s way and take the hit instead.
The three of you walk in silence back to the city, and when you get to base, you glance back at Rex and frown when you see how angry he is with you. Had you been more aware however, you would have realized that he was not upset with you, but at this whole situation. As soon as you enter medbay, you lay down in one of the beds, hissing in pain when your lightsaber accidentally brushes the open gash on your side.
“Let me take this,” Rex moves to your side and attempts to grab your weapon, but you flinch at the sudden movement, eyes panicked at the prospect of not having your lightsaber with you, even though you were perfectly safe here.
“You don’t have to, I-”
“General, don’t make this more difficult than it already is.” He sighs heavily, the reaction hurting you more than it should. Of course he thought you were a burden. He was probably supposed to be with Anakin but felt the need to remain by your side out of duty. You don’t mean to, but your hand falls back in defeat, eyes watering almost instantly at being such an inconvenience to him. If he notices the way you react to his words, he says nothing and approaches you slowly once more, as if he was walking towards a wounded, helpless animal. He says nothing as he unclips the lightsaber from your side and clasps it on his own belt.
“Rex, I need you to leave.” Kix interrupts as he walks towards you, pointing at the door so Rex could leave.
“Why?” You think he’s being a little defensive, but you brush the thought aside, knowing for a fact that there is no reason why the Captain of the 501st would want to stay behind just for you.
“Because it’s my job to take her armor off and treat her, not yours. Get out!” Kix is more assertive than before, and you shut your eyes to avoid looking at either of them as they continue to talk about you. Something shifts in the air but you choose to ignore it as well, barely managing to open your eyes and gaze at Rex when he whispers in return.
“I’ll be outside.” He looks at you as if the last thing he wishes to do is leave this room, and you’re not sure what prompts you to, but you nod in acknowledgement to let him know that you’re thankful for him, watching him exit the room, but not without looking back at you one last time. As the door slides shut behind him, Kix silently removes your armor and clothes, not bothering to say anything else as he begins cleansing the wound and suturing it.
You’re not sure how long you’re on that bed, but when the medic lets you know that he’s almost done, you realize that you’ve been clenching your hands the entire time. Relaxing your muscles completely, you thank him and sit up, waiting until he covers your side with a bacta patch before standing fully again.
“You know, if I have to stand around one more minute and watch the two of you act like…like fucking bantha, I might just shoot myself and be done with it.” Kix says with a smirk, not caring for your passive aggressive remark as he applies the patch and pushes a little too hard on the skin to get you to be quiet.
“You’re a medic Kix, not a therapist.”
“Yeah well, someone’s going to have to tell you both to get your heads out of your asses…respectfully sir.” Once again, you narrow your eyes at him and shake your head, not bothering to wait until he puts the armor back on before grabbing it and walking to the closest mirror to see what he’s done.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about.” You say in passing, irritated and confused by his choice in words.
“Sure you don’t.” You’re about to respond when he opens the door to the room and calls for Rex to come back. Surprisingly, it takes a few seconds for Rex to come and stand beside you again, studying your features as you look at the covered wound and try to see which movements hurt and which don’t.
“The wound isn’t too deep but it is pretty large. It should heal in the next few hours, assuming you switch the bacta patch and put on a new one. In the meantime, I’d suggest you don’t partake in any serious, physical activity…unless of course you’re with-”
“Alright, that’s enough.” You turn around quickly and snap at him, mentally patting yourself on the back when you see his smile drop instantly at the realization that he may have gone just a little too far. You quickly glance at Rex and find him confused at your outburst, but he says nothing and instead unclips the lightsaber from his belt and returns it to you. For a brief second, your fingers pass against his softly, and you feel chills run down your spine at how calloused and warm they felt against your own.
“Thank you,” you whisper your gratitude to Kix one last time before practically sprinting out of the room, feeling the frustration rise deep within your chest when you notice Rex falling into step with you. You had hoped that he wouldn’t follow you back, mostly because you were planning on visiting the Prince to ensure that he understands not to be seen by anyone until you’ve resolved this rather problematic hiccup.
“I’m sure there is something more worth your time Captain…you can leave if you wish.” You say assertively, praying to the Force that he reads between the lines and leaves you to your devices.
“If it’s all the same to you General, I think it’s best I make sure you return to your quarters safely.” You expected his response, but hearing it irks you more than you initially thought and you speed up in an attempt to distract yourself.
“While I appreciate your concern, I am of help to no one if I return to my rooms. Where’s Anakin?”
“He is with the Prince. Sir, I strongly request for you to return to your room.” Ever the Captain, he doesn’t budge once in his stance and catches up to you, going as far as taking a few more steps until he stops ahead and forces you to slow down.
“Captain, please.”
“You'll be helpful to no one if you can’t keep up.” He crosses his arms and stares straight into your eyes, not once caring for how you could easily write him up for insubordination.
“I need to see Anakin, I think I have a plan to catch this assassin.” You take a deep breath and relay your intentions to him, preparing yourself for an onslaught of questions and push back to the plan you have in mind.
“How do you know it’s an assassin and not a bounty hunter?” You notice the way his body language shifts from defensive to a more curious, even docile manner.
“No one in their right mind would come to Dondri during the Life Day Celebrations just to kidnap a member of the royal family. Also, I’m fairly certain he was aiming straight at his head.”
“And how do you plan on catching him?” He furrows his eyebrows at you, making you wish he wasn’t standing so close to you so you’re affected by every little detail you keep observing about him. Shaking the thought aside, you take advantage of his distracted mind, walking around him and continuing towards the royal palace.
“By giving him exactly who he wants.”
“Sir, please.” He calls out to you one last time, this time with an exasperated sigh that you wish was out of care and not duty.
“Captain, your request is noted.” You turn around one last time against your better judgement, watching closely as Rex’s pout deepens before he switches his attention to the ground. You study him then, wondering why he was suddenly so intent on your well being. It’s not as if he never showed any concern before, but there was something strange now, something you chalked up to what you did earlier.
You almost tell him to accompany you to Anakin, but then remember what he might say when he finds out what you have in mind to catch this man. Footsteps echo in the hallway as you practically run to Anakin, and you’re glad when you find him standing alone outside the Prince’s quarters. He looks up when he hears the frantic stomps growing closer, his expression falling as soon as he realizes it’s you approaching him.
“Wow, you should be resting. What are you doing here?” He’s half-concerned, half-surprised, the faint lines of a smile betraying how irritated he is at seeing you.
“I think I know how to catch this guy.” You straighten up, gazing at your friend until his apprehensiveness gives way to genuine interest.
“I’m listening.” Anakin pushes away from the wall, eyes narrowing at you as he turns fully to face you.
“I highly doubt he will want to try again in such a crowded place so he will definitely wait till the Prince is by himself.” You step closer to him, anchoring your thoughts to the best of your abilities as the pain in your side begins to return once more.
“Yeah, that’s not going to happen.” He shakes his head strongly, frowning at whatever idea you had in store for him.
“Listen. We will give him what he wants, or at least, what he thinks he wants.” Anakin’s gaze shoots up then, and you watch the moment his confusion turns into a deep interest and desire to solve the issue.
“Elaborate.” His jaw is tight, and you brace yourself for whatever reaction he gives when you tell him about your idea.
“He knows how important his Celebration is, and he also knows that part of it involves the King-to-be going out into the lake and offering blessings to the gods on behalf of his subjects. So, we make him think the Prince is actually going out there.” Your voice is low but even, pausing in your explanation to gauge Anakin’s reaction.
“You’re suggesting a decoy?” His gaze is steady but you don’t budge, not wanting to give him any reason to think you are unready or reluctant to lead the mission.
“Yes, I am.” You nod confidently, glancing behind you and biting into your cheek when you see Rex walking toward the two of you.
“So the Prince will be safe in his quarters the whole time.”
“Yes,” you exhale through your nose, bracing yourself for the question you’re sure will be asked at any moment now.
“And who’s the lucky guy that will replace him?” He throws his hands up then, as if to say he doesn’t agree with the plan but has no choice.
“Me.” You don’t flinch as you respond immediately, shutting your eyes to calm yourself when you hear Rex’s outburst next to you.
“No.”
“Pardon me?” You turn to face him, not bothering to control your aggressive tone as you ask him to repeat himself. Rex can tell you don’t appreciate his response, passively shaking his head and glancing between you and Anakin to try and indirectly ask your friend for help.
“I…don’t think that’s wise.” He repeats again, and you miss the way Anakin hides his smile behind his hand.
“Don’t shoot me, but I think I agree with Rex on this one.” It’s Anakin’s turn to pitch in, his voice harder than before and making you wish you didn’t get easily rattled by such minimal details.
“Well, good thing I outrank the both of you.” You know better than to say something so superficial, and you shrug your shoulders when Anakin replies straight away with an annoyed lilt in his voice.
“You don’t outrank me!”
“Okay, yes but…you’re still healing. I’m all for taking risks-” You cut him off then, not appreciating the hypocrisy of his words and actions.
“But not when it’s someone else?” Standing your ground, you meet his gaze and search his face for any sign of hesitation, knowing that he has already agreed to your suggestion when he shifts his weight and pretends to still think about it.
“Why not me?” He asks quietly, the question meant less to argue and more to keep the peace.
“Because I’d rather we take this guy alive. Sorry Ani, but I don’t exactly guarantee the outcome with you.” You feel bad for critiquing his tactics but you don’t back down, wanting him to know that you prepared to see this to the end.
“Fair enough.”
“Good, you can tell the Prince our plan. Make him address the people in an hour, something along the lines of ‘he won’t be bullied out of his duty’ and then we can head down to the lake.” Stepping aside, you walk around both men while telling them what to do, wanting to deal with this hiccup as soon as possible so you can address the real reasons behind your visit to the planet.
“Where are you going?” Anakin asks, gesturing between himself and the room behind him.
“Get dressed. I need to look the part.”
Going back to your room, you do your best to think of the task at hand, but with every question you ask yourself, you find your thoughts shifting towards Rex. A part of you wishes he only objected because he doesn’t want to see you get hurt, but the more irrational side of your brain is convinced it’s only because he doesn’t trust your judgement. You’ve never given him any reason to doubt your abilities, so you aren’t sure why he still can’t accept your discernment.
As you step into the room, you strip down and walk towards your case, bringing out a new pair of robes and placing them on the bed. You make your way to the refresher and freshen up, doing your best to put the discomfort in your side out of your mind. When you hear the sound of the broadcasting, you forgo switching the bacta patch and get dressed quickly, afraid Anakin will move ahead without you. You return to the Prince’s quarters in record time, hood placed over your head to shield you from any prying eyes not meant to know it’s you. Stopping in front of Anakin, you make sure there are guards posted inside and outside the royal rooms, quickly letting him know that none of the servants know the plan to avoid anyone saying anything to the wrong person.
“You ready?” Anakin asks, leaning into your space to gauge your reaction while pretending to protect you as you walk towards the nearby lake.
“Let me get back to you on that.” You chuckle in response, pretending your attention isn’t on the annoyed Captain flanking your other side.
“Hey, it was your idea.” Anakin straightens up once more, eyes studying the slowly growing crowds seeing you to the lake
“It sure was.” Your answer is clipped, mostly because you can tell that Rex isn’t getting any calmer beside you.
“I hate this.” The three words are whispered, yet the way in which Rex says them makes you wish you could ask him here and now when he was so adamant on letting you know he doesn’t agree with your decision.
“You have something on your mind Captain?”
“Yes, loads as a matter of fact.” It’s the first time Rex answers in such an abrupt, curt manner. Before, he used to offer a silent apology if he spoke out of line, but seeing his anger sizzle deeper with each step you took towards the lake makes you all the more irritable.
“Well, don’t let me interrupt you.” You answer monotonously, not bothering to hide how vexed you feel from the constant bickering with him.
“Hey guys, as much as I appreciate your flirting, let’s focus here. You’ll be on the boat by yourself and we won’t be anywhere near until we see someone coming towards you. If things take a turn and you find yourself in a particularly awkward position, just push this button and we’ll come to you.” The two of you face Anakin, and while Rex looks away embarrassingly, you stare at your friend, silently telling him to watch himself and not test you.
“That won’t be necessary, I’m going with her on the boat.” The ease with which Rex replies grabs your attention right away, and it’s your turn to be at the receiving end of his sheepish expression. You wonder if he knows how uneasy he looks returning your gaze.
Or how unfairly handsome he is as he leaves no room for discussion.
“No, you’re not.”
“Yes, I am.” He doesn’t blink once, meeting your adamance with a stubbornness you’ve never seen before.
“Captain, if he sees you coming on the boat, he will not come.” Anakin tries to alleviate the tension but neither of you back down, wanting the other to step away first.
“I’m not taking a chance with you. And…he won’t see me coming on the boat, not if I swim out to you and climb on.” The firmness with which he explains himself nearly makes you think there’s more to this offer than meets the eye, and you forgo proprietary to ask him what he means by not wanting to take a chance with you.
“Captain, you’re-”
“Why do you constantly make things difficult for me?” He cuts you off then, the swift question quiets you immediately and forces you to look ahead, away from the company surrounding you.
“I’ll take that as a yes then.” Anakin whispers and you hate how he always wants to get the final word in. You walk the rest of the way in absolute silence, your mind flickering with hope at the prospect of Rex feeling anything other than despise for you.
“We’re here.”
“Good luck.” Anakin snaps you out of your haze as he readies the boat, and you nod at him before stepping onto it. You undo the rope, and make your way to the front of the swaying sail, not bothering to turn around when you feel it moving softly through the water. You focus on the dark body of water ahead of you, looking up to the sky and marveling at the twinkling stars as they shine above you. Only when you hear faint scratching at the hull of the boat do you remember what you’re supposed to do. Waiting until the boat is angled ahead and away from the shore, you turn on the comm link and step forward to see where Rex is hanging on.
“Are we far enough from shore?” You ask Anakin, praying you receive an affirmative answer quickly so Rex can get out of the cold water.
“Yes,” Anakin gives you the go-ahead, and you pull the hood of your cloak higher before turning on the lights around the boat to offer a brief distraction.
“Permission to come on board, General?” Rex asks strenuously, and you wonder if this is his attempt at being civil.
“Granted, come up before you freeze to death.” He pulls himself up right away, and you point to the small room in the lower deck, not wanting him to be seen by anyone that may be watching you.
“Stay low.” You whisper to him, wishing you could take your cloak off and offer it to him so he can get warmer.
The slow rocking of the boat lulls you into a fake sense of peace, and you force yourself to remain passive to the presence of the man behind you. The lights flicker softly around you, and when you lean over to touch one of the ornaments hanging on the cords, a shooting pain coursing across your abdomen prevents you from moving so much as a muscle.
“How’s your side?” Rex notices you wincing and almost approaches you, but you shake your head to prevent him from coming up the deck.
“It’s fine.” You clench your fists tightly as you right yourself, not wanting to appear suspicious. It’s quiet for a few minutes before you decide to return whatever civility Rex was attempting to offer you.
“Hmm, it’s quite beautiful out here.” Your eyes are glued to the night sky, completely missing the way Rex longingly gazes at you when he agrees.
“Yes, it is.” A shiver runs down your spine at the low, whispered tone of his voice, and when you turn your attention towards him, you find him shaking from the cold air seeping through his armor.
“You’re cold.” There’s an apology at the tip of your tongue, and Rex must see how bad you feel about this because he shrugs his shoulders and tells you otherwise.
“I’ll manage.”
“You shouldn’t be here. I really don’t understand why you were adamant on coming with me.” It’s not what you want to say to Rex, far from it. But you know for a fact you can’t be straightforward and ask him why he didn’t back down and decided to join you.
“It is my job to protect you.” Again, you’re thrown off by how soft and docile he sounds, and it takes every ounce of control in your body to not turn around and stare into his eyes as you ask him the next question.
“Job? Is that the only reason why you’re here?”
“Y-yes. Why else would I turn down shore leave?” Had he not hesitated, you would have believed him and dropped the subject. But something about the way he becomes defensive makes you think there may be another reason he isn’t too keen on sharing.
“What I don’t understand is why you would turn down shore leave to serve with someone you can’t stand the sight of. That’s what I don’t understand.” You know better than to bring attention to the bantha in the room, but you figure if you addressed the animosity, he might finally tell you why he isn’t your biggest fan. The last thing you expect, though, is the defensive retaliation he exudes in response.
“Can’t stand? Who…who are you talking about?”
“Come on Captain, feigning ignorance doesn’t suit you.” You huff in frustration, not wanting to elaborate further and make this any more awkward.
“With all due respect sir, you are not making any sense.” He chuckles then, and as beautiful as the sound is, it sets your teeth on edge. How dare he see this as a laughing matter?
“It’s obvious to anyone with a pair of eyes that you find it barely tolerable to be in the same vicinity as me. So I ask again, why did you miss out on a much deserved break to be here?” Against your better judgment, you turn around and face him, not caring for anything happening outside this moment.
“What gave you the impression that I can’t stand you?” Rex stands up and takes a step up towards you, the smile on his face falling instantly when he realizes that you weren’t joking. You were being dead serious. And you definitely believed everything you just said to him.
“Oh, I don’t know, maybe the fact that anytime we’re in the same room, you find it difficult to stay for more than a few minutes before leaving. Or…or how you constantly meet each one of my tactical suggestions with an unfavorable reaction. Or the fact that you treat me like a child when I’ve clearly proven myself capable of handling any tough situation with ease. Any of these ring a bell?” You’re breathing heavily, unable to look away from him even though you wish you could be anywhere else but in front of the man that has simultaneously inspired so many mixed emotions ever since he came into your life.
“I- I’m…” He hesitates, and you almost feel bad for throwing so much at him at such an inopportune time. When his frown deepens and his eyes shift to the ground, you shake your head and return to observing the lights all around the boats. You envy the little balls of light, wishing you were one of them as they continued to flicker and not give a single care to anything happening around them.
“I am sorry…for ever making you feel all those things when they are the farthest from the truth.” His words cut through you like a long, thin needle, and you find yourself reluctantly turning around to face him once more, wanting to make sure you weren’t imagining what he just admitted.
“I hold you in the highest regard General, and if I ever push back on your commands, it’s never out of respect, but concern. Pure concern.” He swallows nervously, waiting until he has your undivided attention before continuing to confess his own doubts.
“If anything, I feel as if you’ve been actively avoiding me this entire week. With each turn, you somehow find an excuse to leave before I can join your company.” The revelation is enough to set your heart racing, and you have to shut your eyes to focus on calming yourself as you address his impression.
“I- well I just thought that I was bothering you and I figured it wouldn’t make sense if you felt limited simply because I’m around. I wanted to give you the freedom to do whatever you desired, without me standing in the way.” It’s your turn to clear the ruminating misunderstanding, and only when Rex responds shyly do you realize that you’re the source of months and months of misjudgment.
“I see.” Rex is defeated, and you wish you hadn’t brought this up while you’re in the middle of the mission because you want nothing more than to join him down in the lower deck and tell him how sorry you are for causing him to question himself.
“It seems you have every right to think me unfit to lead after all. All these assumptions lead to months of misunderstandings, all because of me.” You break the silence, trying your best to not let either of your revelations bring tears to your eyes. You fist your hands tightly to hold yourself back from doing something that might make him uncomfortable.
“Never, I’d never think that of you.” He meets your eyes instantly, shaking his head and waiting until you accept his peace offering before moving back down to the lower deck.
“I guess it’s best if we just…start fresh.” You say with a faint smile, feeling your chest collapse slowly when Rex returns the smile and nods in agreement.
“As you wish, sir.”
The night air shifts following those four simple words, and you blink a few times at Rex before returning to your place. You’re not sure how long you’re on that boat, but when the wind picks up, you hope things don’t take a turn for the worse before you catch the assassin who, up until a few minutes ago, you were convinced would have already come to you. Rex is awfully quiet and when you glance behind you, you see him holding a small ornament in his hand, the shape of which is unclear until he looks up and notices you staring at him. He shyly shows it to you, and you smile at him when you note what it is.
“Gorgeous bird, isn’t it?”
“What is it?” He gazes at the delicate ornament, its red surface shimmering with flecks of gold and crimson under the soft glow of the night sky and the lights dusted all around the boat.
“It’s a phoenix, a legendary bird that captivates whoever comes across it in the wild with its vibrant colors and remarkable life cycle.” You watch as Rex marvels at how something so small could evoke such warmth, wondering if he knows that he inspires similar feelings in you.
“It’s particularly special to the Dondrians because it’s believed to have originated on their world. Its symbolism of renewal and immortality makes it the perfect representation of what Life Day means to them.”
“What do you mean?” Gently, he turns it in his hands, unwilling to let go of it as he hangs it back where he found it, completely enchanted by its quiet beauty and whom it reminds him of.
“Well, it lives for several hundred years until it reaches a point where it builds a nest of aromatic wood and sets itself ablaze.” You can tell your words surprise him because he looks from you to the small ornament of the bird, face falling at the thought of a bird practically ending its own life.
“It…it kills itself?”
“Yes, and no. As the flames consume it, it is reborn from its own ashes, emerging more radiant and young than before. This cycle of death and rebirth represents the very idea of Life Day…of destruction coming from new life, of the importance of transformation, resilience, and hope. The way it embraces its own death and resurrection encourages others to embrace change and look forward to new beginnings.” The way in which he seems to hold on to every single word you say lights a little blaze of hope deep in your soul, and you pray to the maker that whatever change in your relationship lasts long after tonight comes to an end. Rex nods in understanding, trailing his fingers across the glass bird before switching his attention to similar ornaments hanging all around the two of you.
“They say any representation of the phoenix is supposedly enchanted.” You don’t want the conversation to end, and your smile widens when you see how suddenly interested Rex is in the bird’s mythology.
“Enchanted?”
“Hmm. If you hold that ornament in your hand and wish for anything…anything in this universe, it will fall right into your lap soon after and mark the beginning of a new chapter.” Not even a second later, Rex is taking the phoenix in his hand once more, shutting his eyes and murmuring something to himself. You watch with fascination how utterly captivated he is by the sentiment, and you wonder what he could possibly wish for so quickly. When his eyes flutter open and he finds you already staring at him, he puts the ornament down and stands up, his facial expression turning a lot more serious than a moment ago.
“Sir, I-” “Heads up, someone’s coming.” Anakin cuts him off and you curse the timing of your guest’s arrival. You shut the comm link off completely, mouthing a quick apology to Rex as he moves out of sight while preparing his blaster. You face away from the sound of the approaching boat and pretend to flinch as soon as you hear a loud crashing sound signal the arrival of your wanted man.
“You’re dumber than they told me, more conceited too.” The accent is not lost on you, and you file that little bit of information for later. The wind howls across the water, and you begin to move but hear a warning that prevents you from facing the assassin.
“Ah ahh, turn around slowly.” You hold your hands up as you obey the command, no longer bothering to hide yourself as you fully face him. His breath, a lot calmer than now, comes in short, panicked bursts. His expression falls completely, and you can tell you were the last person he was expecting to see from the fearful air about him.
“You? Where…where is the Prince?” The smirk you could hear before no longer tugs at his lips, his tone more taunting than now that he knew his mission is not possible.
“Like you said, it would have been extremely absurd if we allowed him to come out here by himself.” His eyes widen in horror, and you tilt your head slightly, hesitating to say more when his figure trembles at the mere sight of you.
“You’re a Jedi! You’re the one who saved him.”
“Don’t try anything, you’re surrounded and it won’t be easy to escape.” You reply coolly, gaze sharp and unwavering as recognition flashes across his face.
“This doesn’t have to end badly. Tell me who hired you.” You raise your hand slightly, a subtle warning that you hope he would take to heart and not test. His shoulders sag at the dangerous lilt in your voice, his breathing growing more erratic at the thought of being your captive.
“I- I can’t.” Sweat glistens on his brow as you meet his aggression with an eerie calmness.
“We can help you, please.” Your voice is softer now, still firm but not as menacing as before. Taking a step closer to him, you try to impose some sense of tranquility, but his jaws only tighten, his gaze farting around the empty lake in an attempt to find an answer to his predicament.
“No, you can’t. No one can…if I don’t kill the Prince, he’ll kill me.” His voice cracks, and you watch as his eyes glisten with something between terror and acceptance of what will surely happen now that he failed in his mission.
“Who?” Your question is followed by a panicked raising of the blaster to your head, and before you can give him another warning glance, you hear Rex ascend behind you, blaster aimed at the man’s head and fingers ready to pull the trigger.
“Don’t even think about it.” Rex’s tone adds fuel to the fire, the tension rippling along with the waves hitting the hull of the ship.
“Stand down Captain.” You turn your gaze to Rex, not wanting him to make matters worse.
“I can’t do that sir.” Rex’s voice is tight, and he doesn’t bother meeting your eyes, knowing that if he were to look at you, the man in front of him might take the distraction as an advantage.
“He’ll kill me, he’ll kill all of us.” The words tumble out in a frenzy, making you fist your hands tightly in discomfort. You ignore Rex for the time being, slowly stepping towards the assailant to try and calm him down once more.
“Just tell me who he is and I will make sure you’re safe.” Your voice cuts through the hysteria for a second, and you think you can manage to make him put the blaster down without controlling him, but then he whisks the blaster away from you and towards Rex, the reaction instantly making you see red.
“No, you’re all dead. We’re all dead.”
“I wouldn’t do that if I were you. This conversation is between you and me, not him.” Your tone drops, no longer friendly or soothing, but searing with displeasure at the sudden change of events.
“I’m warning you, this doesn’t have to turn ugly.” You try one last time to make him put the blaster down, but sensing the shift in his demeanor, you light your lightsaber just as he shakes his head in madness and readies the blaster. There’s something strange about the way he continues to look up at the lightning shining across the sky, and you follow his line of sight to see if someone is approaching. His panicked movement increases as the crashing sound of thunder increases, and you narrow your eyes at him, unsure of why he was reacting so drastically to the weather. You find yourself lacking sympathy for him, not because of what he’s done, but because of what you see he’s about to do.
“It’s done, we’re- we’re all d-”
You don’t let him finish, sending your lightsaber straight into his chest before dragging it back to your hands. Neither you nor Rex say anything for a moment, and only when you feel the boat rock violently do you finally snap out of the momentary haze you’re in and tell Rex to hold onto something.
“Pfassk, we need to get back to shore before this storm drowns us.” You’re afraid to look at Rex, unsure of what you’d find swimming in his eyes, if he’s disappointed, shocked or simply disturbed by how easily you took the man’s life. You reach out to the lake bank, focusing on bringing the sail closer to dry land as quickly as possible out of fear of putting Rex’s life and your own in any more danger. It takes longer than you like, but as soon as you reach Anakin, you exit the boat and remove your cloak, quickly handing it over to Rex before asking the others to drag the dead body away.
“What happened?”
“He was manic…violent.” Rex answers Anakin’s question when you remain quiet, and as Anakin tries to learn anything from the soulless body, you stop pacing behind him and apply pressure to your side, the lack of adrenaline making way for a familiar, stabbing pain.
“This fucking weather happened. He- maker, he would have listened to me. He would have, but the lightning terrified him. It was almost as if he thought it was after him.”
“So you killed him?” Anakin holds his hands up in question, not understanding why you changed your mind when you were the one who told him why you had to be on that boat, and not him.
“No, I killed him because he aimed his blaster the wrong way.” Your voice is almost unrecognizable to you, and you watch as your old friend shrugs his shoulders before telling his men to take away the body.
“We need to leave, or else we’ll get caught in this storm.” You remind them one last time, waiting until they start moving before turning around and looking to gauge Rex’s reaction to this whole ordeal.
“Tell the Prince they can resume their festivities tonight if they wish. Assuming this doesn’t turn into a blizzard.” You tell Anakin, who nods in agreement and sprints ahead, not wanting to waste any more time outside now that the problem was “solved.”
“You don’t think there’ll be another?” Rex asks and you shake your head instantly, elaborating on why you think there isn’t another assassin running around.
“No, whoever is behind this wouldn’t take the chance. One wouldn’t talk, two is too high a probability.” You meet his eyes for longer than you deem appropriate, and when he looks away first, you study your surroundings before heading behind Anakin, towards the royal palace.
“Where are you going?”
“Back to my room, I think diplomacy can wait till tomorrow. Good night Captain.” You don’t bother turning around as you respond to him, knowing that you won’t be able to hold back from apologizing for your actions if you see an unfavorable expression aimed at you.
An oddly familiar warmth engulfs you the farther you walk away from Rex, and it’s only when you’re back in your room that you realize what that sensation is. You’re confused as to how you could possibly be receptive to Rex’s feelings, but it occurs to you that you may be feeling a fraction of his own emotions simply because he’s allowing you to. Of course it may be unintentional on his side, but be that as it may, a part of him is so in tune with you that the Force decided to connect you to each other, or at least, make you respond to him on a much deeper level than you ever thought possible.
You stand in the middle of your quarters, recalling every single word you’ve exchanged with Rex during the past rotation. As upset as you are with how certain things turned out, you come to appreciate them all, especially the fact that the two of you were sent on this mission together. You were finding the Life Day Celebrations extremely difficult to enjoy because of your relationship with the Captain, but if anything was proven in the past few hours, it’s that the time of year was truly on your side.
You make your way to the refresher and find the bacta patch Kix gave you earlier, sighing irritatingly when you realize you forgot to change it. You strip off your clothes and stand in front of the mirror, biting into your cheek as you remove the bacta patch and throw it away. You find the wound almost healed, and you thank the maker you wouldn’t have to deal with it for a longer period. Letting it breathe for a few seconds, you walk around and turn on the hot water, wanting to bathe in a nice, warm bath before whatever you will have to do tomorrow. You move back to the mirror and unsheath the replacement patch, slowly applying it on your skin, and shivering when the cold chemicals make contact with the wound and the skin surrounding it.
Unbeknownst to you, Rex has debriefed with Anakin and was already heading your way, wanting to make sure that you made it back safely and weren’t in need of anything. He hesitates for a long moment before knocking softly on your door several times, and when he doesn’t hear a response, he unlocks the door and walks in, taking in the small space before calling out for you again. He frowns at the lack of response, knowing that you were in much need of a good night rest. The room is dim, illuminated only by the light filtering through the windows behind the bed. Thinking that you didn’t make it back yet, he’s about to exit when he hears your groans echo through the refresher.
“Sir?” Rex tries, and when your whines only grow louder, he takes out his blaster and readies himself for whatever threat is in the refresher with you. The muffled sounds only grow, and he’s alarmed at the prospect of what he might find when he barges in. Taking calculated steps across the room, he finds the door to the refresher slightly ajar, and as soon as the quiet moan of discomfort reverberates in his ears, he takes two quick strides and pushes the door open, scanning the room in an attempt to find the source of your pained grunts. When he sees you standing half-naked in the middle of the refresher, with your hands massaging the skin around the wound, he lowers his blaster and shuts his eyes, cursing at his lack of sensibility.
“Ahh kriffing hells. Oh maker, I- I’m sorry General. I thought that you were harmed and- pfassk.” Rex stammers through an apology, his face growing heated at catching you in such a vulnerable state. The tub beside you is half-full, and Rex feels his armor tightening around his crotch, images of you moaning in ecstasy as the water relieved all of your pain making him wish he was anywhere else but here.
“That’s okay Rex,” you cut him off when you see his face burning with embarrassment, and you do your best to not dwell on the heat from before suddenly wrapping around you like a tight, weighted blanket. It’s endearing how shy he is being with you, and you’re about to giggle at his overreaction when you turn around and find his eyes set on you. There’s a different expression on his handsome features now, and you tilt your head to the side in confusion, unsure of why he was looking at you in such an intimate way.
“What?” You decide to ask, knowing that things couldn’t possibly get any more awkward than they already have.
“I’ve never heard you say my name before.” The comment throws you off guard, and you look around the foggy room, hoping to find a response written somewhere. You meet his gaze again, and notice his body language relax, as if the sound of his name on your lips was all he needed to hear to grow more comfortable with you.
“That can’t be true.” You know he’s not wrong, but you are also aware that you’ve called his name about a thousand times in the privacy of your room. You’ve called his name more often than you care to admit, but he had no way of knowing that, not when, up until a few hours ago, he genuinely thought you disliked him.
“Believe me, I would remember it if you did.” He chuckles at you, the sound far from humorous and fully self-deprecating. There’s nothing comforting you can say to him, and you rub your temples to alleviate the sudden throbbing ache circling around your head. When he doesn’t move, you walk across the room to shut off the running water, distracting yourself from the predicament you now found yourself in.
“Is there something you needed, Captain? I’m not exactly dressed for a debriefing but we’ll have to make do.” You stand up and motion around the room, wanting to get this over with so you can drown in self-pity when you’re left alone.
“No General, I only wanted to- well, I came here to see if…” He’s tripping over his words, and it would be endearing if it weren’t for the fact that he just indirectly admitted to you what he felt when you called his name.
“I know I’m not exactly being professional here but, since when do you get so tongue-tied around me?” You test the waters against your better judgement, wanting to see how far you can take this before one of you cracks. Rex shakes his head in defeat, and you realize that there’s no point in taking this any further, not when the man in front of you refused to cross the professional boundaries setting you apart. You couldn’t blame him.
“Okay, here’s the thing Rex. I am freezing cold, and from what I’ve heard, the water won’t stay heated for a long time, especially during this weather. So until you decide what you want to do here, I will be getting in.” You take your slippers off and take a few steps around the tub, completely missing the puddle that collected from the flowing water.
“CAReful!” Rex is behind you in the blink of an eye, arms caging you against his chest to prevent you from slipping and hurting yourself. You grab onto his arms to right yourself but the floor is too wet, and you find yourself awfully closer to him than a second ago. You meet his gaze and are suddenly mesmerized by the hazel green of his eyes, the ones you can barely see around his dilated pupils.
“Kriff, that would have been a really bad fall. Thank you.” Your attempt at a joke is met with a serious expression, and you drop the smile when Rex slowly steps away from the slippery floor to help you stand up. He lets go of you as soon as you stand up, and you find yourself a little hurt at how quickly he wants to step away from you.
“For a Jedi, your reflexes sure are slow.” The comment is far from insulting, meant to diffuse the tension rising due to the circumstances, but for some reason, your mind decides to make things worse and respond with a statement that is far from harmless.
“I guess we’re even now.” Rex’s expression falls as he continues staring at you, and he doesn’t dare say anything in return as he walks around you and makes his way out of the refresher. Something in the way he seems to be genuinely hurt by your comment makes you run after him and pull his arm to prevent him from leaving. He stops but doesn’t face you, and you suspect it may be because he is angry with how you make light of such a crucial moment.
“I- I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have said that. Please don’t- don’t be mad at me. I know we barely resolved our misunderstanding but I- I just… just don’t leave.” Your voice cracks as you practically beg him to stay, and only when he takes a deep breath and relaxes his shoulders slightly do you finally let go of him.
“You think I’m angry with you?” He turns around slowly and frowns at you, questioning your apology in a way that makes you think you were completely in the wrong.
“Aren’t you?” You nervously play with your fingers, looking away from him when you can’t bear the scrutiny of his hurt impression any longer.
“No, maker no. I have never once, in my life, felt anything other than respect for you.” He reaches out for you, placing both of his hands on your shoulders to make sure you are listening to every word he’s saying.
“Oh,” unfortunately for Rex, you misunderstand his confession and sag your shoulders in disappointment. Of course he wouldn’t feel anything more for you. Why would he? You’ve given him no reason to feel a fraction of what you’ve felt for him for so long.
“I am not angry with you, mesh’la. I am angry at the prospect of you thinking my life is more important than yours, at you forgoing your principles just to save me.” Rex sees the way you shift uncomfortably, the weight of his words settling heavily between you. His gaze is steady, and you can’t help but return it when you see the fierce protectiveness he’s exuding, one you had not expected to encounter in such an intimate setting.
“You- you jumped in harm’s way to save me, not even thinking of your own well-being. And later…on the boat, I saw the way you changed when he aimed his blaster at me.” He clarifies further, the revelation sending goosebumps down your arms and forcing you to step closer to him. You furrow your eyebrows at the implication behind his words, placing your hands on his chest without caring for any repercussions.
“Of course I did, what else would you expect me to do?”
“Not sacrifice yourself for someone like me.” His answer comes in heated, and the level of hurt you feel rising in your throat makes you push him away from you.
“What do you mean ‘someone like you’?” You snap at him, shaking your head in disbelief at what you’re hearing from him of all people.
“I’m not as important as you are. I’m replaceable.” Rex must not expect such a reaction because he steps towards you right away, grabbing both of your wrists to speak words that he doesn’t realize hurt you more than him.
“You- you think your life isn’t worth mine? Why…why would you even say that Rex? What makes you think you can even believe something so far from the truth?” Tears well up in your eyes as you look at him, voice trembling with emotion at the thought of Rex believing something absolutely false. He hesitates for a moment, struggling to find the right words as you melt into his arms.
“Because I’m that one that should protect you. I should be the one making sure you’re safe.” He finally replies, his voice barely louder than a whisper. Again, it must not be the right thing to say because you only get more annoyed, fisting your hands and slightly pushing on his chest to keep his attention.
“I hate to break it to you but that’s a two-way road, Rex. If I had to, I would do it again.” You say matter of factly, wanting him to fully understand that you don’t see yourself as any more important than him.
“Why?” He lets go of your shoulders and slides his hands down your arms, enveloping your fists in the palms of his hands.
“Because I- I’m your…” His grip tightens around you as you struggle to tell him what you feel for him. You avoid his eyes but he tugs you into his chest and makes sure you’re looking at him before he interrupts you.
“What? You’re my General? You want me to believe you’re willing to die for me, or even change your own rules because you’re my superior?”
“N-no…it’s not just that.” You shake your head, knowing that you should tell him the truth regardless of how difficult it can be for you.
“Then tell me.” He begs softly, leaning into you until he touches his forehead with your own. The warmth of his skin sets you on fire, making you wish you could just confess to him and deal with the consequences later.
“Tell me why you’d risk your life for mine.” Rex’s eyes soften as he shuts them completely, and if you weren’t so held up on whether his feelings were mutual or not, you would have understood what he was trying to tell you through the intimate gesture.
“I can’t.”
“Tell me cyar’ika.”
“Rex, I-”
“Tell me me’suum’ika…please.” He cuts you off then, his pleading storming your heart with waves of emotions so overwhelming that you have no choice but to give him what he wants.
“Because if anything were to happen to you, my life will be over.” You admit, voice shaking with fear and relief at finally letting go of the secret you’ve held onto for months.
“Mesh’la,” the word is whispered with a warmth and gentleness that shake you to your core, and you finally open your eyes to look at him, finding nothing but adoration and tenderness staring right back at you.
“Rex.”
“I can’t protect you tonight.” His gaze is…it’s more intense than you’ve ever seen, but it’s unwavering as it descends to your lips and refuses to attend to anything else.
“Hmm?” You’re confused by his choice in words, caught even more off guard by the weight of them as you try to make sense of what he wants to tell you.
“I said…I can’t protect you tonight.” His voice is low, almost strained, sending you spiraling down into an abyss of an unquenchable fire.
“W-why?” Your throat tightens, brows furrowing at the way Rex struggles with what to say in response.
“Because every second I spend near you, not being able to touch you, or kiss you, or whisper how kriffing badly I have it for you is torture. It’s absolute torture. And now that I am here, with you looking so lovely, so- so…irresistible, telling me what I am to you, I can’t hold back any longer.” He exhales sharply, hands moving from your hands to your neck for a brief moment before you feel them wrap around you and pull you flush against his chest.
“Then don’t.” The air between you cackles with tension, and Rex’s breath hitches at the raw, pleading tone you grace him with.
“If you let me taste your lips, know that I will never let you go.” He’s gathering the strength to speak, and when his eyes burn with an intensity that steals your breath away, it occurs to you that he’s barely holding himself back from you.
“Rex?” He looks at you then, committing every curve of your face to memory as you call for him again, his heart stuttering at the raw vulnerability mirrored in your own pupils.
“Please kiss me.” His answer doesn’t come in words, but in the way he shuts his eyes as he closes the distance between the two of you. His fingers tangle in the hair at the nape of your neck, his lips meeting yours in a kiss that feels like a breaking storm—wild, unrelenting, and long overdue. You had expected him to be timid, gentle even, but the untamed way in which he instantly swallows your moans makes your knees weak, and you have to wrap your arms around his neck to prevent yourself from falling to the ground.
You’re not sure who is more desperate, you or Rex, but as the kiss becomes more heated, you feel as if your lungs will collapse from the sheer need and surrender moving between the two of you. And as his hand cups the side of your face, you tremble at the sensation of his thumb as it traces your jaw until he tilts your head to the side.
“Ohh g-gods,” you break the kiss for a fraction of a second, but Rex is unrelenting, claiming your mouth fully and moving his lips over yours until every inch of your skin comes alive with fire. You’re urgent in your touches as well, afraid that he will let go any moment and you realize this is all just a dream. But the more he consumes your skin, the quicker your heartbeat thunders against your chest and you press yourself closer to him in an attempt to ground yourself.
When he does finally let go, your breath comes in short, shaky gasps, but there’s no time to collect yourself. His lips descend down your neck, and you throw your head back, pleasure coursing through your veins so quickly that you have to muffle your mouth to hold back from screaming his name. The small gesture doesn’t go unnoticed by Rex and he pulls back far enough to catch your attention, waiting until you’re blinking confusingly at him before he returns to your neck.
“No, you don’t hide your noises from me. You have no idea how many nights I spent imagining you in my arms…moaning for me, begging me to touch you and pull every ounce of pleasure from your body.” He leaves a searing trail of fire with each wet kiss, his teeth grazing your sensitive skin and biting down harshly when you moan in return.
“But what if Anakin-” He growls at the mention of his friend’s name, his chest tightening at the sound of another man’s name on your lips. His hand trails down your neck to your waist, squeezing you tightly as he slides his tongue down your sternum and coaxes more sounds from you the lower he goes. Rex looks up briefly, smirking with pride when he sees how disoriented you’ve become from such simple touches.
“I don’t care, let him hear. Let them all hear, I want everyone on this planet to know who’s making you feel good. Do you understand me…General?” His confession burns through you, and he zeroes in on the pulse thundering against your neck, biting down harshly as his heart tingles with each moan you sing to him. The way he says your title, so possessive and crazes, sends a fresh wave of desire through you, and you have to fight not to crumble entirely beneath his touches.
“F-fuck, yes…yes Captain. I- whatever you want.” You gasp, voice breaking as you feel yourself sinking against him. You grip at his shoulders for some semblance of stability, the cool edge of his armor digging into your arms and reminding you how naked you are.
“Come here,” his tone is commanding, full of raw desire, and you shiver at the power behind it, swearing beneath your breath when he leans down and slides his hands firmly around your lower back.
“But the water-” You giggle at how quickly he moves from the refresher to the bedroom, and you feel yourself growing wet at how easily he picks you up.
“You don’t need the water to keep you warm.” Rex shakes his head, leaning down and giving you a quick peck on the lips before settling you down on your sheets.
“No?” You tease, lower lip trapped between your teeth as you try to hold back from snickering at what he’s making you feel.
“No baby, that’s what I’m here for.” he murmurs, leaning in close until he cages you between his arms. The bed dips beneath him, and you feel your heart racing at finally having your dreams come true. His eyes barely have any color left in them, and you squeeze your thighs together, excited at being the reason behind such a visceral reaction.
“And exactly how will you w-warm me up?” You trail your hand down up his neck, tracing his cheeks softly and shivering when you feel the rough stubble of his jaw kiss your palms.
“Wouldn’t you like to know?” Rex chuckles, the sound vibrating through the quiet air of the room and making you even more nervous. He draws deliberate circles against your breasts, watching with bated breath as your eyes shut instantly.
“Yes…oh kriff, please Rex. Tell me…tell me.” The need you display to him nearly makes him choke. Never in his life did he think he’d have such an effect on you, but he doesn’t question it, instead giving you more so he can hear what he does to you.
“Let’s see,” Rex leans closer, lips brushing against the shell of your ear as he speaks with a sinful whisper, “I’ll start off by kissing down your body.”
“Hmm,” the image alone leaves you breathless, and you tilt your head to the side to give him better access to your neck, not caring for how loud you’re getting as your moans turn into long sighs.
“And while you moan at feeling my hands trace your soft skin, I’ll…pull away.” His words trail off, and he suddenly pulls back completely, creating a rift between you that has you sitting up quickly and grabbing his kama to prevent him from getting off the bed.
“N-no don’t,” you plead desperately, refusing to let go of him as he returns to your side and kisses your forehead.
“Shhh, don’t worry mesh’la. I’m not going anywhere.” He catches your wrists, pressing them against his chest to still you before slowly standing up again. He doesn’t break your gaze, and he waits until you relax to begin taking off his armor. You swallow the lump in your throat when you finally register what he just called you, and your breathe trembles as you nod in agreement,
“But for me to show you how much I crave you, I need to remove all of this.” The promise in his voice makes you wish he could put you out of your misery and take you then and there. But you know better than to distract him.
“Rex,” you whine his name like a prayer, unable to hide how much you want him.
“I know sweetheart, I know. But it’s all part of the plan, how else will I keep you running…hot for me.”
“Force help me,” your head falls back as a groan slips past your lips, and you don’t notice where your hand descends until you feel Rex slipping his fingers around your wrist and shoving your arm away from your heated core.
“You can call out all you want, little Jedi, but the only one here is me…so you better put my name to good use.” Rex leans in close again, hovering just above your body as he taunts you with promises. His voice is a delicious growl, one that has you shaking with anticipation and pulling another moan from your throat.
“Rex…”
“Better,” the satisfaction in his eyes is unmistakable, and he brushes his lips against yours in a featherlight kiss that leaves you chasing after him when he pulls away to strip.
“Please Rex, I need you.” You beg sweetly, the words spilling out before you can stop them. You should be embarrassed by how wanton you sound, but you find that you couldn’t care any less, the need to have Rex settle between your thighs outgrowing any shame you have.
“I thought you needed to hear what I want to do to you?” His expression is dark and unreadable as he places his armor on the floor. He stands in nothing but the black body glove he wears beneath his armor, and you’re overwhelmed by how much you can see of him that you shut your eyes and throw your head back. Rex uses the momentary distraction to his advantage, sliding his eyes down your body to sketch a mental image of you in case he never gets to do this again. When he’s had his fair share of you, he removes the rest of his clothes until he’s not wearing anything.
“Look at me cyar’ika,” he commands, his tone leaving no room for argument. When you obey and open your eyes, the air leaves your lungs dramatically, your mind unable to accept the fact that he’s more naked than you are, that you’re finally, finally, seeing all of him.
“You- you’re torturing me.” You’re shaking with lust, praying to the Force that Rex decides to lose control and take what he wants.
“Is that right?” His lips curl into a knowing smirk, the ghost of a laugh escaping him and making you flush embarrassingly as he moves on top of you. “Oh…maker,” there is no hesitation in his movements, just a careful balance of control and desperate need. Rex holds you tightly in his arms and kisses you until neither of you can breathe. You think he might break you and for a brief moment, you want him to, if only so he could know how much you belong to him. You arch your back into him, trying to adjust to the overwhelming sensation of having his skin slide against yours.
“Am I pleasing to you?” Rex lets go and wraps his hand around your neck, not firmly, but just to have you look at him. The muscles of his jaw flexes as he watches you lose control, his voice reverent as he practically begs for you to answer him.
“You have no idea,” your fingers curl into his shoulders, nails digging into his skin as you try to somehow bring him even closer to you.
“I think I have some id-” he smiles faintly, dipping down to kiss along your collarbone before moving further down your body. His words are cut off by a groan when he feels you scratch his head. He can feel every inch of you growing hotter beneath his touch, and he doesn’t hold back any longer, not caring for how aggressive he’s being as he slips two fingers beneath your panties and tugs violently until they rip in his hands. You squeal suddenly, partly shocked by the reaction, but mostly turned on by how much he craves you. Before you can even register what he’s doing, Rex is shoving your thighs apart and kissing your inner thighs, the scent of your cunt hitting his nostrils and making him growl, the sound rumbling from his chest and setting you on fire.
“Fuck mesh’la, you say I’m torturing you but the taste of you makes me…it- hmmm, kriff.” The gutteral sound sends heat pooling in your core, and you find yourself clinging to him even harder as you feel this lips ghost against the outer lips of your pussy.
“Rex,” you whimper, his name slipping from your lips as though it was the only word you knew.
“I know I begged you to call my name, but…if you keep moaning it so shamelessly, this night will come to an end a lot quicker.” Rex stills suddenly, looking up at you with wild eyes, his control hanging by an extremely thin thread.
“I- I don’t care Rex, I want you…I just want you, please.” You plead over and over again, trying your best to pull him up so he can forgo whatever he had in mind for you and just fuck you then and there.
“But I need to get you- oh, Force help me.” He moves up your body, pressing his forehead against yours and tripping over his words when he feels you wrap your hands around his hard cock.
“I’m already so wet for you baby, please…take me.” You whisper, desperation dripping from every word you pray to him. He’s heavy in the palm of your hand, hot and hard to the touch, and you wonder if this is how it will always be with him. You pray it is.
Maker, please.
“You should know, I need you so desperately that I- I may not be able to hold back.” His breathing grows ragged, the restraint unraveling rapidly the more you slide and squeeze his dick. He shuts his eyes and fists the sheets beneath you, and you can’t help but lean forward and kiss his jaw softly, licking down his throat and biting into the skin between his neck and his shoulder when he sinks against you.
Smiling at how easily you can bring his guards down, you pull him closer until your lips brush his ear, whispering the one sentiment you’ve thought of ever since you met him.
“Rex, I want you to fuck me like you hate me.”
“Oh, me’suum’ika, I don’t want to do that.” His head snaps up, eyes narrowing as he stares down at you with a tenderness that melts you. Rex presses his nose to your temple, sighing your name over and over again until you let go of him and bring him down for a kiss. He pushes you harder into the bed, slipping his hand behind your back to undo your chest band before throwing it behind him. You break the kiss to look at him, and Rex is sure he’s never seen a more beautiful sight in his entire life.
“I want to fuck you like I can’t breathe without you. I want to fuck you like I can’t get the thought of you out of my head…I want to fuck you like you’re mine, and I’m yours.”
Your heart swells at the raw, needy emotion in his words, and your hands slips into his hair, scratching it softly and smiling with tears in your eyes when he leans into the touch and groans in return.
“I am, I’ve been yours Rex. Only yours.”
“Shit, you’re going to be the death of me baby.” Rex exhales shakily, attacking your chest with more kisses and waiting until he hears you call for him again before taking a nipple in between his teeth. You arch your back against him, opening your thighs so he can settle better against you before crossing your legs behind his back. As soon as you feel his cock tease at your entrance, a wave of shameless desire seeps through your body and you feel your cunt throb in pain at having him so close.
“I- ohhh gods, I can’t wait any longer Rex.” You squirm beneath him, the action sliding his cock against you and making him bite your sensitive bud in return. “But…you deserve to be loved cyare. Slowly, deeply, passionately.” He wants nothing more than to push his cock into your pussy, but he waits, wanting to make sure that you’re ready for him so he doesn’t hurt you.
“We can d-do that later, however long you want…whenever you like. But I need to feel you inside me, now.” You shake your head, voice desperate and lust-filled. He studies you for a brief moment, and when he finds nothing but a needy truth swimming in your eyes, he pushes away and leans back to get a better look at you. His eyes zero in on your cunt, and his cock twitches at finally having you naked and willing beneath him.
“Spread your legs wide for me, and if it’s too much…if I’m too much, tell me.” Rex swallows hard, his eyes softening before darkening once more. You nod quickly, watching him as he takes hold of his cock and slides it across your cunt to spread your juices on him. The gesture is so filthy, and if it were any other man, you would have found it off-putting. But this was Rex, and you had only imagined him fucking you about a thousand times.
“R-rex,” you gasp as he slowly pushes into you, the sensation both overwhelming and mind-bending. Rex can’t take his eyes off of where you’re connected, and his breathing picks up when he begins to feel you clench around him, his cock sliding with ease from how wet you are. He can’t believe that he barely touched you and you were so ready for him, but he pushes the thought aside, wanting to relish every second he’s allowed to be inside you.
“Ah f-fuck, you’re…you’re so warm, so kriffing warm and tight.” He curses softly, his head falling back briefly before his eyes return to your cunt once more.
“I want to feel all of you Rex,” you run your hands over his arms, feeling the tense muscles shift with every movement. You silently wish that he falls against you so you can feel his body atop yours, and it must be evident in the way your eyes trail up and down his body because he slowly pushes himself on top of you, his cock sinking deeper into you as he shifts closer.
“Sweet girl, my beautiful jetii’ika.” Rex looks down at you, his eyes filled with awe and reverence, and something that should terrify you but instead makes you feel warm and cherished.
“You’re s-so deep inside me Rex, I feel…full.” Your voice hitches as he continues to push his dick inside you until he’s fully seated deep in your cunt. You bite into your fingers but Rex shakes his head, reminding you of his warning from earlier.
“Remember, your sounds are mine tonight. I want to hear everything that I do to you.” He grits his teeth, hands digging into your hips as he forces you to let go of your fingers and call his name.
“I love being this close to you... it’s perfect.” You confess, barely managing to string together a coherent thought as you feel him throbbing inside you.
“God, you feel so tight around me…” He wants to pull back and thrust inside you, but he holds back out of fear of hurting you. It’s only when he feels you wrap your legs around him and force him to move that he understands what you want from him. He pulls out until the crown of his cock is seated perfectly in between your pussy lips, and as soon as you moan for him, he thrusts back inside, the sensation sending his mind in a frenzy and nearly making him fuck you into oblivion. Rex stops for a moment, wanting to keep himself in check so he doesn’t terrify you by how much he craves you.
“Mmm, and you feel so big, so fucking hard and big. Move, Rex…please.” You throw your head to the side, biting into his wrist and whining in ecstasy when he obeys you and slowly snaps his hips against you.
“You’re so wet for me already and I haven’t even fucked you yet.” He mutters beneath his breath, licking and sucking on your neck as he continues to shove his cock inside you, suddenly feeling dizzy at how perfect you feel around him. What he doesn’t expect is for you to chuckle in response and meet his gaze in an intense gaze, parting your lips and answering him with another, lust-filled confession.
“That’s because I- hmmm, I’ve imagined you fucking me every night since we met, and- and now that I’m here, in your arms-” You gasp at a particularly hard thrust, digging your nails into Rex’s back and smiling when you see his features turn into a mixture of pain and pleasure.
“Tell me baby,” he coaxes, his voice rough with desire as he continues to fuck you passionately.
“Nothing compares to h-how you fill me up, Rex.” You confess, shaking at how perfectly Rex feels inside of you, cock hard and hot as it slides against your tight walls.
“You have no idea mesh’la,” you can tell his control is slipping further, and you wonder what it would take for him to lose all control and take you as you desire.
“I can- can feel how much you want this.” He leans down and swallows your moans, slipping his tongue inside of you and claiming your mouth while his cock claims your cunt.
“Yes... don’t stop. Go deeper, just like that.” You wrap your arms around him, breathing heavily against his ears as you feel him push into you with a pace that’s nearly blinding.
“You’re taking me so well, baby. This cunt was made for me, perfect fucking pussy. I can spend hours between your legs.” Rex’s voice comes out heavy, and he reaches down to place his arm around one of your thighs so he can push it higher and come closer against you.
“Please, harder…fuck me harder Captain.” You cry out, overwhelmed by the sensations Rex continues to rip from your body.
“Whatever you want to make you lose control, General.” Rex groans in return, his pace brutal and unrelenting as he feels his stomach begin to tighten. The sound of skin meeting skin echoes through the room, a frenzied beat that matches the pounding in his heart, he suspects, yours as well. He pulls back just enough to look at you, and when he finds you biting your lower lip to contain yourself, he slams harder into you until he has your attention.
“Look at me while I’m inside you... let me see how much you love this.” He demands assertively, eyes searching your own he feels sweat drip from his brow. There is a thick haze of lust clouding the room, and before you can even answer him, he thrusts harder, deeper, inside you, forcing your body to react in ways he only dreamt of. “Rex…I- I’m, I’m yours... all yours.” You acknowledge him without even thinking, the need dripping from your words matching the same one you can see storming in his eyes.
“You have all of me cyare, my heart, my soul…my everything.” Your confession drives him mad, and the look of pure ecstasy etching on your features sends him reeling, his body trembling as you cling on to him while he pushes you closer to the edge. You sob with pleasure as his movements pick up, his words igniting something primal inside of you.
“That’s it, baby. I can feel you getting closer. Don’t hold back—let go for me. Come for me. I want to feel you squeeze me..fall apart for me.” The possessiveness radiating off of him in waves should terrify you, but instead, you tighten your legs around his waist, pulling him impossibly closer to you so you can feel every inch of him as he coats your walls with his seed. The tension in your body is palpable, every nerve lit up like a wildfire as you approach that inevitable release. Rex must feel it too because he sinks into the crook of your neck, breathing in the scent of your sweat and something sweet that he might never forget.
“I’m so close... oh fuck, I’m going to come!” You cry against him, voice breaking as your body teeters on the brink of bliss.
“Fuck- I…I can’t. I need to-” His rhythm begins to stutter, his breathing becoming heavier and more erratic as he fights to hold on until he feels you come on his cock. Rex’s grip on you tightens, his fingertips pressing into your skin as if he’s trying to anchor himself to reality, to the gift the universe has handed him after so long.
“Don’t hold back, Rex. I want you to come for me, come inside me. I want to feel you…want to take you so deep, fill me up. Please…p-please Rex,” you plead, clawing at his back as you show him that you need him just as desperately. Hearing you beg for him to fill you with his cum shatters the last of his resolve, his pace faltering as he buries himself inside you to the hilt. A guttural groan tears from his throat as he finally lets go, the pleasure crashing over him overtaking him just as it engulfs your body. He feels you tighten around him, your body convulsing so violently that he can’t figure out whether it’s you who’s crying in pleasure or him.
You’re completely spent, your pussy throbbing harshly as you feel Rex shoot long, hot spurts of his seed deep inside you. It shouldn’t please you so much, but knowing that you have him reach places inside you that no one else will make the pleasure all the more intense, and you twist your head until you can kiss along his neck, silently letting him know that you will never belong to anyone else but him.
He collapses over you then, supporting himself on his forearms so he doesn’t suffocate you. His head is still buried in your neck as you both gasp for air, body trembling slightly as he presses soft kisses to your skin in return. His lips linger over your pulse point where he can feel your heartbeat racing as quickly as his own. Rex lifts his head until he meets your eyes, his own brimming with affection as he smiles at you and nudges your nose with his.
“Baby, you’re everything to me.”
“Rex, I…I think I-” you start, voice quiet and uncertain, afraid that once you tell him what you feel, you will lose it all…lose him.
“I know. Cyare, I know.” He murmurs gently, his hand cradling your face as he leans down and kissing you slowly until you feel nothing but warmth and understanding.
And in that moment, you have no doubt that something deeper than words binds the two of you, something that no one will ever be able to take away from you.
Against his wishes, Rex pulls out of you with a groan, biting into his lower lip when he hears you whine with contention. You don’t let him go too far, sliding against his side and nuzzling into his chest as he pulls the covers above the two of you.
A comfortable silence fills the air and after a while, you look up to find Rex meditating deeply, his attention focused on the ceiling high above you.
“What are you thinking about?” You ask, fingers moving up and down his chest in a soothing way.
“I’m thinking of what will happen tomorrow now that you won’t be keeping your distance anymore.” He means it as a joke, but when he looks down and sees your hurt expression, he drops the smile and leans over to kiss you, letting you know that he meant no harm by the comment and was just teasing you.
“Rex, I’ll do whatever you want to do going forward. If you want me to act as if nothing has changed, I’ll do that. And if you want to tell your brothers, it would make me feel so happy…and- and if you want me to leave the Order, give up everything…I will gladly do so without a second thought.” Rex’s expression shifts, his brow furrowed beneath the shadow of his close-cropped hair. He looks at you like he’s trying to make sense of your words, trying to fit them into the reality he had come to know in the past rotation.
“You- you would leave the Jedi for me?” His voice is rough with disbelief, and for a moment, he is genuinely convinced he has misheard you. The idea that someone like you— strong, steadfast, bound by your sworn duty to the Jedi and the Republic—would ever consider leaving all of it…for him…maker, it seemed impossible. It had to be.
“I would do anything for you just to have you keep looking at me the way you are now.” You cut through his disbelief with the utmost sincerity, gaze never once wavering as you do your best to make him understand what he means to you. The silence that follows hangs heavy in the air, and Rex swallows hard as searches for the right words, for anything that could match the depth of what you just offered him. He reaches out, trailing his fingers over your cheeks as he leans down to meet your lips in a chaste kiss. The touch of his lips is reverent, as if he wants to assure himself that you are real, that you are in his arms, that you are willingly giving yourself to him without a second thought.
When he finally pulls away and sees tears pricking against your eyes, he smiles at you and nods in understanding.
“How about we go day by day, and when this war is over, we can reassess.” He finally says, his voice less anxious than before. He lays back down and pulls you into his arms, hands going to your waist to pull you flush against him. You cry out in pain and push yourself away from him, the reaction catching Rex by surprise and making him sit up to see what he’s done When he sees you grabbing at your wound and hissing in discomfort, dread settles in his chest as he realizes he forgot the wound and handled you a lot more aggressively that he should have.
“Kriff, your side…I- I completely forgot. Mesh’la, are you-” He leans over to assess the bacta patch, wanting to see the damage he’s done and already thinking of what to tell Kix when he asks him to come and inspect the wound. His panic rises as you push his hand away and look down to find the patch still in place, and only when you’re sure no blood has seeped through do you grab Rex’s hand and settle it against the wound.
“Rex, relax. I- to be honest with you, I’m not sure whether or not I felt any pain. I was so far gone in our…activities, that I didn’t really focus on anything else.” His eyes are less anxious as you allow him to massage the skin around the wound, and when he sees there are no lies in your words, he nods and studies the irritated skin one last time before settling back down, bringing you into his chest gently.
He smiles when he feels you kiss just above his heart, giggling softly when you pinch his side and tease him for being so cuddly.
“Can I ask you something?” It’s his turn to interrupt the silence filling the room, and tilt your head up to nod at him.
“Anything!” His lips twitch into the faintest of smiles at the earnestness in your voice, his heart skipping a beat at the prospect of giving him the answer he’s been seeking for months on end.
“At what point did your feelings switch from wanting to be with me physically to…to whatever they are now?” Rex hesitates, choosing his words carefully and refusing to look anywhere else out of fear of missing a change in your facial expressions. When your brow lifts and your hand returns to his stomach, you can’t help but smile at him and shift your gaze to a fixed point somewhere on the skin beneath your palm.
“You mean when did I know that I’m yours?” His face flushes with embarrassment, but he nods instantly, not wanting to turn this moment awkward by his boyish reaction to your rather honest sentiment.
“I don’t think I can pinpoint a day or an hour, it all happened so suddenly and I didn’t realize how deep my feelings ran for you until I was so far gone in them.” You exhale deeply, turning a little contemplative as you admit to him everything you’ve felt for the past year or so.
“If I were to pick a reason though, it would have to be the way you carry yourself with your brothers, with Anakin even.” He looks down at you then, his gaze unwavering as he feels his soul light with a fire that he’s sure no one will ever put out now that you’ve kindled it.
“Seeing you give up so much to ensure your brothers live for another day stirred something inside me. And knowing that you’d follow Anakin into a battlefield without a second thought is…it’s- maker Rex, you’re amazing. You’re the best man I’ve ever met.” Your voice cracks slightly with emotion, a few tears rolling down your cheeks as you let him know that you will never care for anyone more than you care for him. Rex blinks down at you, stunned into silence at the raw honesty behind your words.
“The loyalty, the courage—it speaks volumes.” His chest tightens as you speak those words, and he can’t help but turn to face you fully so he can focus on nothing else but the way you fit perfectly in his arms.
“Come here, me’suum’ika.” He wraps his arms around you and molds you into his chest, stealing the breath from your lungs with a kiss that you’re sure would rival all the others he’s gifted you with so far. You let him take whatever he wants from you, sliding your arm around his back to feel every inch of him as he makes you forget the universe outside of your room.
“What does that word mean?” You smile at him when he finally breaks the kiss and trails his lips across your cheeks and down your neck.
“It means ‘little moon.’” Rex murmurs gently, as if he was sharing a secret meant only for your ears. Your heart swells at the tender nickname, and you press yourself closer to him, wanting to stay in his embrace for as long as you’re allowed. You breathe his presence to anchor yourself to him, refusing to acknowledge the chaos of the war raging outside your existence, here in this moment.
“Stay with me tonight,” you whisper pleadingly, voice barely audible. “Please.”
Rex’s hands tighten around you, and he brushes his thumb over your skin as he pulls you back to meet your gaze.
“I wouldn’t dream of being anywhere else, cyar’ika.”
The word sends a shiver down your spine, and you lose yourself in his arms, knowing that nothing will ever compare to what you now share with him.
And as you slowly succumb to sleep, Rex silently thanks the mythical bird for giving him what he’s wished for. The war may not be over, but it could wait. The galaxy, with all its heartbreak and evil, can be someone else’s concern. Tonight, Rex had you, and that was more than enough.
You were all he ever desired.
And he finally had you.

how would cody / rex react if they saw you hurt?
for both of these, i'm going to say that you're a field medic, working with the 212th or 501st respectively. which means you, my dear, were injured in battle
cody
look, both cody and rex are in positions of authority within their battalions, but cody is the marshal commander. he has the highest rank a clone could possibly have. so for cody, everyone is his responsibility. does this mean he's constantly a little stressed? yes.
he wasn't all that happy about having a nat-born as a field medic when you first joined the 212th, but you proved yourself many times over, so cody trusted you with his men's lives, and with your ability to hold your own on the field
until one day you couldn't. until one day you were injured. and boy cody has never moved so fast
it was a poorly timed grenade throw mixed with superbattle droid blaster fire which resulted in an explosion that threw you against the wall of the cliff the republic army were using for cover
the commander shot his blaster with one hand while he used the other to vault himself over rocks to get to you
he'd never have admitted that he cared more for you than he should, more than a commander to a medic, more than friends. but in that moment, where your body is slumped against the wall unconscious, cody wanted nothing more than for you to know just how much he cared for you
could cody have gotten another clone to scoop you up in his arms and carried you away, behind the general who was cutting down droids? yes. but all he wanted was to get you safe, this man was tunnel visioned on you
he doesn't leave your side when you're back on the negotiator, even when Bench (hi yes i have a 212th clone medic OC and his name is bench and yes i know how he got the name. i love him) tells cody to rest, because you'll be sedated for a few more hours
when you wake up, cody is slouched in a chair clearly dragged from another section of the cruiser. your head is pounding and there is a slight ache in your side, but you were more worried about the terrible sleeping position of your commander
cody wakes up to you calling his name, and he's immediately out of the seat and sitting on the side of your cot, hand going to reach for yours but he decides against it (you take his hand)
rex
alright so rex and anakin and basically all of the 501st are definitely the type for dramatics, so you probably get shot, let's be honest
you keep working despite the blaster-wound in your arm and rex just heart-eyes at you for a moment before realising "oh my maker y/n was shot"
you're already in a relationship with rex (this is the best friend and right hand man of a jedi who is married to a senator. he does not care lmao) so he's so stressed. not only is he the captain, in charge of his men and all those who are apart of the 501st and are generally on board the resolute, but also you're his partner. he cares about you so damn much
as soon as he reaches you, he orders kix to tend to your wound, but you brush him off, saying that you will be deal with yourself once you are back on board the cruiser. the man currently dealing with broken armour in his side was your priority
rex holds you to that. the second you are back on board the resolute, rex is walking you to the medical wing - honestly he would carry you if he had to
the entire time kix is patching you up (literally just a bacta patch), rex is asking if you're okay, telling you off for being reckless and not being in complete cover, apologising for not protecting you better. all the while you're telling rex that it's your job and that he was doing his, and that he wouldn't be if he was hovering by you
he definitely has you share his bunk with him that night because he was so worried about you

Being in love with you (Captain Rex x Jedi Reader)
Summary: Reader is semi drunk and wants to tell Rex about her feelings for him.
Word count: 1746
Warnings: mentions and kinda use of alcohol, feelings, fluff, mentions of war, use of Y/N, fmc, mentions of loss, intimate moment, too much cuteness
A/N: First of all this is the very first one shot I’ve ever wrote. Unfortunately English isn’t my first language so I’m sorry for grammar mistakes and wrong spellings and stuff like that. I hope you enjoy reading. Please correct me if you recognise any mistakes (grammar and stuff and also how I interpreted characters and places…I’m kinda new into the Star Wars franchise).
Maybe it was a dumb idea. It definitely was one, but for now I was standing in front of the 79’s while its neon orange symbol was laughing at me and my stupidity. The Music coming from inside was clearly to hear while clones were coming and going the whole time. Just I was standing still while time was keep moving like the planet kept doing its rotations.
A Jedi in the 79’s. Anakin would laugh at me if I told him about my trip. Not just would he laugh because I was here in robe semi drunk, but he would also laugh at the reasoning. Today would be the day. I’d tell Captain Rex from the 501st Battalion about my feelings. My feelings for him.
Probably the alcohol in me led to my actions and I’d probably get rejected and would regret it tomorrow, but all of that didn’t matter right now. Now, just my confidence and Rex in this bar mattered. I expected him to be here, because Fives told me.
I knew Rex a while know and since the day we’ve met he had me wrapped around his little finger. I just loved the way he talked and how he behaved and cared for his brothers and friends. He was one of the good guys and I fell for that side which he showed rarely.
I pushed the door open to the 79’s my hood pulled deep into my face. Hopefully nobody took a second glance at me and would recognise me as one of their generals, but after seeing the crowded room I did not give that a second thought.
Fully inside of the bar the smell of alcohol and sweat hit me, but I’d get used to it. I always get used to it. Like I’ve got used to that I couldn’t see my parents anymore after the Jedi took me with them or all the rules they had. Somehow you always get used to it. Mostly because you had to.
Looking around the first thing I noticed were a few of Anakins troopers in the back. They were too busy joking and drinking to see me, but around me were also too many people and I could easily get lost in the mass.
My eyes glanced over every face, the person I’ve searched for not in my sight. Dramatically I let out the air I was holding in my lungs as I finally saw Cody from the 212th Bataillon and next to him on a bar stool was he. The man I was looking for: Captain Rex. Damn.
My heart quickened its pace as I walked slowly towards them. The people around me not making it easier to get any faster to them.
Cody was the first one to see me. His face showed surprise and a little grin. He said something to Rex, before Rex looked over his shoulder at me. His eyes instantly found mine. They were warm as always and he sent a smile towards me which I mirrored nervously. My hands were wet of the sweat and my cheeks warm from the alcohol. That’s what I told myself at least.
I stopped in front of them. “Hey Commander, Captain”, I greeted with a smile.
“Didn’t expect to see you here, General”, Cody answered while sipping on his drink.
“I’d say the same to you two. I’ve heard you’re not very common here.”
Rex chuckled lightly at my words.
“Sometimes we also don’t know how we end up here.”
I felt that. I also didn’t know how I ended up here. Better said I didn’t know where I got the idea from. Had to be the alcohol I drank with Padme while gossiping about senate stuff and her clumsy husband.
Silence made its way between the three of us as I took the word again.
“I’d like to speak with you, Captain. That’s why I’m here at least.”
He drank his whole glass in one sip as he stoop up and said his goodbyes to Cody as he tilted his head towards me to follow him. I did while waving goodbye to Cody. He grinned at me with a knowing look while toasting towards me with his glass. He knew exactly what I was up to. What a dick. Next time I’d see him I’ll wash that grin away.
“What is it, General?“, Rex asked when we were outside of the Bar. We were walking slowly side by side. The street was a bit emptier than a few minutes ago, when I stood outside, but the traffic was still loud and clear to hear. Something was always going on here. And I liked that. Sometimes my head was loud and just something louder was able to silence my thoughts.
“It’s Y/N, Rex“, I mumbled under my breath.
“What?”
“You should call me by my name like I do with you.”
First he was just looking at me. Speechless if you wanted to say. It was the first time ever I saw him like that.
“You alright?”, I asked while putting my hand on his shoulder. Slowly he nodded before awakening fully from his rigid.
“Of course, Y/N.” I liked how my name sounded from his lips. I hoped he’d say it again.
Rex smiled softly as he drew his attention to my hand on his shoulder. I quickly removed it from him again. Too quickly.
He chuckled at my clumsiness before he looked at me like he wanted to say: “Should we keep going?“ I nodded and once again we fell into step.
The quietness between the two of us was familiar. Sometimes we just walked together on the cruiser. In complete silence, admiring the atmosphere which was always calm and peaceful between us.
“You haven’t told me yet what you wanted to say.“
I nodded in silence. How could I say it without being awkward?
“It’s difficult.“ He frowned worriedly while his eyes kept scanning my face.
“Are you alright?” His thumb brushed over my cheek slightly and I fell into his touch.
“Don’t worry. Nothing bad happened.” He relaxed slightly but not fully. He knew that it was something important when I wanted to talk to him after his usual work schedule.
“You drank”, he mumbled more to himself than to me. “Maybe we should talk tomorrow and not know.” Before you do or say something you regret. Rex wanted to say it but didn’t do it. I felt it. And maybe it was dangerous that I already knew him that well.
“I’m not quite sure if I’d talk to you about if we wait for tomorrow morning”, I remarked. Rex stayed silent while scanning my face once again. Just now I recognised how tired and exhausted he looked. The last mission was a though one. We lost many good soldiers and even Anakin was at the end of his force. But we made it out alive and I sweared myself that I wouldn’t risk it again that I lost Rex without telling him about my feelings. I wouldn’t be able to go on normally if I’d say nothing to him. I couldn’t go on living if I had something to regret.
New found strength helped me with my next words. Just the reminder what I’ve felt like on the last mission made me talking.
“I know that I probably shouldn’t feel and act that way, but I wanted to tell you that.” It’s almost done. Just a few more words. You got this.
“That I’ve got feelings for you. And to be honest these feelings are romantic feelings and no platonic ones. That makes it even worse cause I’m a Jedi as you know. I’m not even allowed to have platonic relationships, but a romantic one? The maker knows how they’d react.” They’d probably disown me.
Rex was silent. He stared at me with those amber eyes and didn’t make a sound. Maybe he was scared. Maybe he didn’t know what to say and how to react. Or maybe Rex just didn’t feel this way.
My cheeks turned red in embarrassment but for now I said everything I always wanted to tell. I felt relieved and inside of me it was silent. There was nothing to regret.
“I didn’t know if I imagined this tension.” Rex whispered. “I didn’t know if I imagined there was something between us or if this was just one of the fantasies my love drunk brain made up. I mean I shouldn’t feel that way either. I’m a soldier and didn’t exactly know what I felt when we met and were together. Nobody told me ‘bout love ‘cause it’s forbidden for us clones to have a deeper connection with an other individual.” He stuttered more or less to himself. His eyes were looking between my eyes and our surroundings. Rex was just as nervous as I was as he was searching for words and a point he could focus on.
Carefully I took his big gloved hand in my hands. From one second to another he went silent and was just looking at me. Waiting.
“What does your stumbling mean?”, I chuckled.
He grinned and his thumb brushed over the back of my hand. “It means that I’m feeling the same way as you do, Y/N.”
My breath hitched and I laughed nervously while my knees were getting buttery and I almost slipped. Breath.
“That’s-that’s awesome.” Was the only possible thing I could say. That was all my brain was capable of right now. Every other thought was washed away and my head just empty left.
“Now, are you alright, General?” Rex thumb caressed my cheek again while his other hand found his way to my waist. He held me like I was just about to slip through his fingers. What I really was actually. I didn’t know how much longer my legs would hold me in place.
“Yes, yes I really am. I’m really alright.” My cheeks were pink and I had the biggest smile plastered on my face, but I was sure he couldn’t see it ‘cause here on the streets was not much light left.
“I’m glad. Then maybe you’d agree if I ask to kiss you?” Rex thumb brushed my cheek while his other arm around my waist pulled me gently closer to him and his face.
While I leaned up I sighed, “It would be my pleasure, Captain.”

Hello There! I haven’t really had much interaction with the clone wars community much so I’m just gonna put all my head cannons out there and hope for the best. (By the way it is Ok to disagree with these I am just putting these out for the fun of it)
-I imagine that Anakin is like this “fun dad” to the entire 501st, all the clones look up to him as a mutually respectable general but also the guy who would fight tooth and nail to keep each and every one of them safe and cared for. He has definitely helped a lot of his men through medical emergencies and panic attacks due to flashbacks, and also done goofy pranks on Obi-Wan the 212th to help distract his men from the dread that washes over when traveling to the next campaign. This guy was made to just be a father.
- Biromanic Asexual Obi-Wan. This guy flirts with all his opponents, must I say anything else?
-I know there’s a lot of confusion on if Ahsoka and Anakin have a Father-Daughter or Older Brother-Younger sister dynamic. I honestly believe that they way they view their dynamic is shifting a lot and seen as different from the duo but I do personally lean the Father-Daughter side as Ahsoka was a living being that Anakin was given the role of looking after and taking care of.
-Ahsoka definitely has jokingly called Obi-Wan “grandpa” to tease him for being the oldest of the three and Obi-Wan definitely deflected but hid a smile at the “joke comment”.
-AroAce Ahsoka. Why you may ask? Because I said so. I don’t wanna see her dating anyone. She need no romantic partner, she got her little chosen family. Cough Her color theme for Mandalore arc is the one for the AroAce flag Cough. When Ahsoka told Anakin that she didn’t romantically get attachments he definitely celebrated the fact he didn’t have to hunt any potential romantic partners down.
-No matter how awesome Ahsoka is at her job of being a commander, she definitely still is a child and definitely has some Anxiety issues to deal with. The order definitely ignored this and told her to “release these feelings through the force” and Anakin knowing better and being the good master he is keeps a extra bed in his chambers (on the cruiser and in the temple), bought her a tiny stuffed tooka for her to keep around when her “flight or flight was on at unnecessary times” (panic attack), and let her trail him around like a lost child when she felt like she couldn’t be alone. Rex and Fives definitely also found out and keep a eye on their little commander, inviting her to bunk with them and the men whenever they notice she keeps following the general around like a lost loath-cat.
-Pansexual Anakin. I don’t need to justify this. He loves everyone, he’s a guy who wares his heart on his sleeve. His most admirable trait is all the love he openly has to give.
-Sometimes when they’re on leave, Anakin and Ahsoka go visit Padme together just to simply have nights out or watch holonets together and just chill out and pretend to be a calm normal family for once.
-Anakin has PTSD. You cannot tell me that this man has been through so many freaking traumatic events in his life and does not have it.
I have so many more but I’m very tired of writing these so here you go for now, I wanted to speak more of the clones, I’ll probably do a second half when I get to it.

I am currently writing a series of one-shots about ways Boba ends up getting adopted by other characters. The first three each focus on Clone Commanders (Cody, Ponds, and Wolffe so far)
I also have a fic called "A Simple Mistake" where Boba switches places with a different cadet who ends up dying leading to him having to stay with Domino Squad while Alpha-17 and the commanders figure out if it's safe for him to go back to Jango. However that one will have some Jango/Obi-Wan in it as a subplot. Otherwise it's all about the clones and Boba. It's not finished yet so if you're looking for complete works that one isn't going to do much.
"and so what if you were right?" is a post Order 66 fic with Rex taking care of an injured Boba and finding family together now they've lost the others. It's more hurt/comfort than angst and features the Bad Batch a little as well as the Organas with Breha basically half adopting them both and Boba babysitting Leia which is very cute.
"Vode An" is a fic where Echo digs deeper into what happened to Fives and is able to work with other clones to stop order 66 from happening. It is clone focused and has no pairings. It's been a while since I read it so I can't remember exact details on if they bring in the jedi later on for help but I remember it being really good.
"What died didn't stay dead" is a fic where Rex dies and is a ghost who ends up only being able to be seen by some of his brothers at first as he follows them. It does feature the jedi later in the story when he finally is convinced to show himself to them but it's focused mostly on Rex and his closest brothers and has no romance.
"What Hides behind dusty windows" Echo and Fives get turned into Cadets without their memories and Rex is stuck looking after them. Not as fluffy as it sounds, it focuses on them being new to the 501st and trying to figure out how they belong. Has Anakin here or there because he's their general but he's not really a main character as far as I remember.
Hopefully that helps! I will be watching here since I'd love to find more fics focused on Clones to read myself.
Fic Recs
I’m looking for some Clone Wars fic recs but I’m unfortunately very particular (translation: I’m obnoxiously picky).
I'm primarily looking for fics that are clone focused (but without mando clones including the use of mando’a). Additionally interested in things about the side Jedi characters like Mace, Aayla, Plo, etc (Nothing where Obi-Wan or Anakin are main characters, though Ahsoka is fine). Gen or cloneships only, including in the background (exceptions are made for Blyla and Barriss/Ahsoka)
I’m mostly interested in stuff that’s plotty or character studies. I’m not really looking for anything that’s pure fluff or that is just wallowing in whump.
If you have any suggestions that somehow aren’t excluded by my pickiness, leave them as a reply/reblog/dm/ask/whatever :D
Thanks!

Clone Simps in the Star Wars Universe Part 2
I'm glad people liked the first one so I decided to add to it. Yes the simps in this galaxy are much like the simps in our galaxy, but where's the fun if the clones don't know about it?
The council tries to keep the whole 'clone simps' on the down-low (typical government).
But the clones eventually do find out, but each battalion finds out in a different way.
Shock Troopers
Thire is tackled to the ground, and what they thought was an act of assault actually turned out to be a girl unable to express her love in a healthy way.
She even managed to yell "take me, daddy" at the guard restraining her.
Needless to say the Corrie Guards won't ever forget her.
501st (& Anakin & Ahsoka)
The 501st found out because two civilian men somehow managed to get clone trooper uniforms and sneak into their ranks.
They were being complete dumb asses at the time so Rex almost didn't notice them.
They would have gotten away with it, expect one of them sneezed and took off his helmet to clean it out.
After they were found out, they were questioned by Anakin.
"THE GENERAL SKYWALKER!"
Anakin is use to women fawning over him, but having two fan boys telling him how cool he is, is almost too much.
...almost too much.
After an hour of "interrogations" (most of the questions came from the fan boys) Ahsoka has to intervene.
Expect for "IT'S AHSOKA TANO!"
This goes on for a few more hours with various clone troopers coming and going.
When the day ends, they are released and told not to do it again. Because-
"How can we punish such caring and supportive citizens?"
212th
Shipping is a thing and Cody and Obi-Wan are the last to know about it.
The rumors fly around the Negotiator.
No one knows who started them or who found out first, but they are everywhere now...
"Did you hear about the commander and the general?" "Is that allowed?" "Is it even true?"
And with little else to talk about (they have little to no social life away from eachother) the rumors only grow.
"You know, they do stand awfully close to each other." "Did you hear how he told the commander to 'take care'?" "I thought jedi couldn't be in relationships." "I heard someone say they saw Cody coming from the general's quarters the other night." "No, you're making that up." "I'm serious. I over heard it in the cafeteria."
"Well, I'm happy for them." "Yeah, I think they make a good couple." -seemed to be the final thoughts about it.
Of course, no one thought to ask either of them if it were true.
They're not dating, but Cody is a little more than mortified that his secret crush got out, and is currently all over the internet. Last time he tells Rex anything in confidence.
Obi-Wan has a completely different reaction when he comes across the ship.
"You're real name is 'Kote'?"
"Yes, sir."
"Huh. Interesting."
104th
Any clone in steel grey is automatically howled at.
Anyone not part of the wolf pack is confused as hell.
But Commander Wolffe doesn't realize how popular he is until he gets fan mail.
Wtf?
He was going to throw it away, but Plo Koon stops him.
"I think you should write her back," the jedi says when he finds out the sender is only 12.
Wolffe complies but immediately regrets it when-
"Oh my force! Wolffe replies to fan mail!"
"Remember, you did the right thing, and that young lady will always look up to you," his general tells him.
Still Wolffe wishes he didn't have a 1000+ letters to respond to.
Luckily he doesn't have to answer them alone since over half of them are addressed to the Wolf Pack as a whole.

There's fanart of Aayla pegging Bly. (No, I'm dead serious. Its real and on Twitter somewhere.)
Bly spends most of his day worrying that one of his men, or worse his general, will see it.
He tells himself that if anyone sees it, he'll just deny its actually him
"We're clones. That could be anybody."
"I DON'T CARE IF WE HAVE THE SAME TATTOOS! THAT'S CLEARLY SOMEONE ELSE!"
Little does he know, Aayla's already seen it.
No, she didn't screenshot it. She did.

Five-oh-Thirst
Summary: The 501st boys have finally reached their breaking point; they just HAVE to have you, and Jesse makes it his mission to recruit you into their shenanigans. After a night out at 79's, you're spoilt by a handful of Troopers, and a Captain who's late to the party.
Pairing: Female Jedi Reader x Rex, Jesse, Fives, Kix, Hardcase, Dogma & Tup
Word count: 12k
Tags: Shameless smut, Gangbang, Drinking, Double penetration, Praise kink, Voyeurism, Military names, Aftercare, Morning after pill.
Notes: this is so fucking slutty and i loved writing every second of it >:) sorry if some of the boys are a little OOC, im still new to writing these hotties. Tumblrs formatting is shite, so i’d suggest reading this on AO3 (under the same username.)
To say that you're 'close' with the 501st is an understatement. Close isn't quite the word you could use to describe the bond you have with this boisterous bunch of clones. You may be their Commander, but you're also a friend, and soon to be a lover. You've had your fair share of drunken nights out with the lot, getting rowdy in 79's, dragging each other's asses home, falling asleep in cuddle piles in their barracks. Yes, you shouldn't be mingling like this with your squad, but it's hard to not get so attached.
Anakin has warned you over and over about both your attachment and feelings, but you've seen the way he talks to them, Rex specifically. Anakin has let his emotions lead him whenever his men are hurt or in danger, and maybe that's why he always gives you a wink during his lectures. He knows what it's like, and he's only attempting to follow the Jedi code, teaching you in the process.
Speaking of Jedi codes, apparently rocking up to the Jedi cruiser bridge with a cup of caf in hand is something to be frowned upon. What? you're tired, and it's not like Anakin has asked his men to get him a cup of caf before. Obi-wan has done this exact same thing also! So, because you're a Padawan, you're not allowed to do it? Sheesh. The hypocrisy.
Despite Anakins disproving glare, the briefing continues flawlessly, as does the mission. Luck must have been on your side, or the force, depending on what you believe in. The Separatists crawled away with their tails between their legs, leaving the planet Naboo alone once more.
A course is set for Coruscant, and the Jedi cruiser launches into hyperspace, taking roughly seven hours to return home. That time is yours to do as you please, and you decide that a nap is in order.
Walking to your quarters takes a good ten minutes, seeing as how large this cruiser is. You travel down an array of corridors, having Troopers stop and salute you as you pass. It's a touching gesture, but sometimes you hate being the centre of attention. You understand that, to the clones, it's a sign of respect, one that they hold dearest in their hearts; you tried to get them to stop once, and only insulted them in the process, so you swiftly gave up and let them continue.
One Trooper in particular calls out your name from behind, and you rotate to see ARC Trooper Jesse approaching, his helmet tucked under his arm, and his other hand salutes you as he approaches. "Commander, do you have a minute?"
"For you, Jesse? Always," you say with a smile.
That smile is mirrored right back at you, and Jesse gestures for you to step down a quiet corridor to talk in private. He doesn't speak up at first, scratching the back of his neck nervously, but you allow him to take his time. Whatever's on the tip of his tongue must be really important.
"Commander, this is a... strange request to make," Jesse begins, and looks for your approval before continuing.
"Go on."
"Well, the boys and I were talking... and uh, you know how we like to de-stress by going to 79's?" Jesse mutters, keeping his voice quiet.
"Yes?" you question, nodding at the same time.
"And by de-stress, we like to... you know, pick up women there," Jesse shrugs, avoiding eye contact as he speaks.
Something in your gut informs you that you know what's coming next, and it explains why Jesse is stalling his request so much. You continue nodding as he speaks, squinting your eyes ever so slightly, suspicious of where this is heading.
"We've been uh, wanting to invite... you along, but we're not sure if that follows your erm, codes?" Jesse pulls the most panicked expression as he finally spits the words out. You think you know what he's asking, but you'll need to dig a little deeper, just to be certain.
"Going to 79's in the first place is against my Code... I think?" you reply, uncertain on what the Jedi code says about nightclubs and getting drunk with clones. "I thought you would know by now that I bend the rules in my favour, without others knowing, of course."
"Oh, that's a relief," Jesse sighs, and removes his hand from his neck. "I mean, you shouldn't, but we all break some rules here and there, don't we?"
"Yeah," you say with a shrug. "What exactly are you asking from me, Jesse? Be clear with your words, Trooper," you order in a teasing manner, noticing how the tip of Jesse's ears turn pink at your words.
"How about... the next time we all go out for drinks, we... take you back instead of some random woman?"
Oh.
There's a heated knot in your stomach, twisting and turning at the thought of sleeping not only with Jesse, but a handful of men. They're all attractive in their own unique ways, and you applaud them for how they create their individuality, through hairstyles, facial hair, and tattoo's. Not only does it make them easier to identity, but it really helps express their personality, and how they may act on the battlefield.
And the thought of having a bunch of these handsome men taking care of you? Who would say no to that?
"Who do you mean by 'we'?" you question out of curiosity.
"Uh, well, it depends on who comes out with us. I mean, all the boys have spoken about it, and all of them are down," Jesse shrugs, and rubs the back of his neck once more.
They've spoken about this? All of them? You must be quite the catch.
"Why? Is there someone you want to avoid?" Jesse then questions, and you instantly shake your head in response.
"No, I'm just curious. I... didn't know you all felt that way towards me," you sheepishly reply, and Jesse flashes you a concerned expression.
"You're kidding me, right? Have you noticed the way we all speak to you? The way we are around you? Even General Skywalker has told us multiple times to cool it," Jesse nervously laughs, clutching his helmet tighter.
You laugh with him, your mind replaying many incidents where the boys have let it slip. Kix has made multiple inappropriate jokes as he's been patching you up. Hardcase is always offering his lap as a seat whenever you're at 79's, and that's an offer that you may need to finally take up. Dogma will attempt to follow the code, but you've caught him staring at your ass more than once. Fives is Fives, and that's all that needs to be said. And Tup is too shy to make any bold moves, but you can tell he has a soft spot for you, as his face turns bright red whenever you're within ten feet of him.
As for Rex and Jesse, they flirt when it's appropriate, meaning when they're not in earshot of General Skywalker.
"Now that you mention it..." your words trailing off, thinking about all those moments.
"See," Jesse points. "So, are you in?" he questions, scrunching his face up in fear of rejection.
"As long as you boys can share," you instruct, knowing what they're like. "I'm in."
Jesse fist pumps the air as he lets out a "yesss!" but swiftly attempts to cool it, trying to not let his excitement burst. "I'll let the men know. We were planning on heading out tonight?" Jesse offers.
"I'll be there," you smile. "Make sure you and your men look good for me, Trooper," you playfully order.
"Of course, Commander," Jesse nods, and allows you to end the conversation there. If you're going out later, then you definitely need that nap right now. Jesse lands a cheeky slap on your bum as you turn to walk off, and you flash him a smile over your shoulder, heading down the corridor to your quarters.
----------
Could this be considered a date? or just an arranged hookup with a bunch of men? Either way, you're using the night as an excuse to dress up, not that you need an excuse to begin with.
That nap does wonders for you, although it could be considered more of a sleep, since as you woke up, you were arriving back on Coruscant. It's mid-afternoon, giving you plenty of time to get ready for tonight. Upon arrival, you take a trip downtown to purchase something to wear for tonight, and you have just the right outfit in mind.
The dress is ever-so-slightly out of your price range, but you know it'll be worth it. The 501st take pride in their colour, blue, and you know their jaws will drop when they see you in their colour. The dress fits the way you like it, bold and flashy, enough to turn more than your legion's heads. You pair the dress with some white heels and a bag, Trooper colours all around; you're really milking it, but Maker, don't you look good!
Hours later and you're ready for tonight, checking yourself out in your apartment mirror. You're fortunate to have your own place outside of the Jedi temple; it's tiny and run down, but enough to get you away whenever you need it. Sadly, it's far too small to fit a handful of clones in, so the barracks will have to do.
One taxi later, and you're outside 79's, queueing up to enter the busy club. Happy hour has just begun as you enter, and you remove the comlink from your bag, pressing a button to inform your men that you've arrived.
Nervously, you gaze around the club, ignoring the random sets of eyes on you. You're only after one group of men, and thankfully, one of them approaches you.
"Commander?" Kix calls out. As you turn to look at him, his face lights up, gesturing to the outfit you're wearing. "Oh, Commander!" Kix sighs, gawking over the sight of you in his legions colours.
"Not too much?" you question, gesturing to the outfit.
"No, it's just right," Kix sighs yet again. "And I like the white heels and bag, nice touch!"
Of course Kix has noticed those minor details.
"Where are the others?" you question, and Kix offers you his arm in response. You take it, following Kix through the club, eventually coming across a cosy booth, full to the brim with your boys.
Kix's reaction to your outfit was sweet and wholesome, something you'd expect from him. Fives on the other hand is hollering like a dog as you approach, checking you out with a whistle, doing everything he can to hype you up. "Commander," he purrs, and wraps an arm around your waist. "Here for me?" he jokingly questions, making you laugh at his forwardness.
"She came here for all of us!" Dogma butts in, swatting at Fives's hand around your waist.
"Oh, so you are joining in, Dogma? I didn't think you were one to break the rules," Fives bites back, and gestures for you to take a seat as he talks.
"This is different, Fives," Dogma mutters. You zone out to their bickering as you shuffle around the booth, finding a seat between Hardcase and Tup.
Tup, like the sweetheart he is, quietly tells you "you look beautiful," with flushed cheeks. Only for Hardcase to add "yeah, you look hot!"
It's hard to believe that these men are all clones. Their reactions are so vast, but they all express the same thing - you look good, and no doubt, they're going to be all over you tonight. They look just as good as you do, maybe even better; they've dressed up for tonight, sporting fine button-up shirts, all of them looking clean and tidy, for once, not covered in dirt from the battlefield.
Jesse offers to buy your first round, and insists that you stay at the booth with the others. He probably fears that another batch of clones will latch onto you the second you stand up. Are the men in here aware that you're a Jedi? Or do they assume you're some poor, unfortunate soul, who's been sucked into spending the night with this bunch? You're hoping for the second assumption, as the last thing you want is some tattle-tale clone recognizing you and ratting you out to the Jedi order.
Jesse returns with your drink and a round of shots, and so, the night begins. The shot is surprisingly nice, as is your drink, but the next set of shots? Eh, not so much. It seems that the more you drink, the worst the shots taste, and you have to turn down the fourth one. You're not going to be standing if you continue chugging drinks at this rate; how your men can drink like this is beyond you.
Dogma and Tup have relaxed in their own way, joining in the conversation every so often, although Dogma is still being teased for 'breaking so many rules.' Hardcase and Fives are as loud as each other, and are currently attempting to impress you through a series of arm wrestling matches. Jesse seems content, on a nice, tipsy level, and has had his eyes on you all night. Kix is simply vibing, not visibly drunk, but bubblier than usual.
You continue peering around, questioning who's missing, and then it suddenly dawns on you.
"Wait a minute! Where's Rex?" you yelp, noticing the lack of a certain blonde clone.
"You've got all of us here, and the only man on your mind is the Captain?" Fives tuts, breaking his concentration from the arm wrestling match. Hardcase takes up the opportunity to take victory, slamming Fives's hand down onto the table.
"Yet again, I am victorious!" Hardcase states, and Fives sputters at his remark.
"That's not fair! Our Commander was asking us a question," Fives argues, and the pair begin bickering between themselves.
You decide to intervene, turning to Hardcase and asking "so, what would you like as your prize?"
Your question is met with a sea of "oooh!"'s and "pick something good, Hardcase!" His face alone is priceless, his emotions switching between shocked, flustered, and cheeky. Hardcase then trails into thought, and after barely any thinking time, he settles on his prize. "For you to finally take up my offer and sit on my lap, sweetheart," he replies, patting his thighs as he talks.
A smirk escapes your lips as you stand, shuffling over to sit on the tattooed clones lap. Hands find their way to your waist, and you're almost certain that Hardcase is purring as he cuddles up to you.
"How is she?" Kix questions, as if you're not sitting in earshot of his question.
"Comfiest ass in the galaxy," Hardcase hums, pulling you higher onto his lap as he speaks. He settles his chin on your shoulder, fine stubble pressed against your skin, and from the expressions of those around you, you can tell that they're all jealous. They'll have their time with you eventually, whether it's here, or at the barracks later. The night is still young.
"My turn," Dogma announces out of nowhere, shuffling out of the booth. None of you have any idea what he's on about, until he turns to you and asks "what are you drinking, Commander?"
You tell him your order, followed up with "and stop calling me Commander! We're not at work, you don't need to call me that."
Dogma apologizes with a soft laugh before making his way over to the bar, followed by Jesse and Kix.
"Is it bad that I kinda like calling you it?" Fives questions, and you know exactly what he's implying.
"The only places you should be calling me Commander is on the battlefield, and in the bedroom," you purr, and you're met with a fawning, lustful expression from Fives, who is more than satisfied at your answer.
"Yes, Ma'am," he purrs back, and you take a mental note for later.
"You know, none of you answered my question," you begin, and the rest of the clones look at you in confusion. "Where is Rex?"
"He said he's busy with a meeting, and that he'll meet us at the barracks later," Fives explains, softly shrugging as he speaks. In Fives' eyes, that means one there's one less clone for you to give your attention to, meaning more for him.
"That's a shame," you sigh. The thought of Rex being here right now is a curious topic on your mind; would he attempt to maintain his high-ranking status, remaining professional despite knowing what's going to happen later? Or would he throw all of that out of the window, taking the first opportunity to straddle you onto his hips and remind his men who's in charge?
"Don't worry, sweetheart. We'll take good care of you whilst the Captain's gone," Hardcase smugly comments, placing a gentle kiss to your shoulder as he eyes you up.
Hardcase stays true to his word, as do the rest of your men. Dogma, Jesse, and Kix return shortly after with the next round of drinks, and lo-and-behold, more shots. You have entered the stage of tipsy, sitting on the drunken fence by the time you finish your drink. Hardcase offers to buy the next round, but you brush him off, insisting that it's your turn. "Since you're all taking care of me, the least I can do is return the favour," you explain, and a few of the men chuckle at your reasoning.
Tup, the sweetheart that he is, helps you up and over to the bar. You're able to walk, even in these heels, but you know that Tup's presence is actually a way of telling others clones that you're already taken for. To your surprise, his hand settles around your waist as you prop yourself up against the bar top, waiting for somebody to come and serve you.
"How's your night going?" Tup questions. "Enjoying yourself?"
"Yeah, are you?" you reply with a nod, curling up into Tup's side.
"Mhm," Tup nods in agreement. "I just need a few more drinks down me," he adds, and you understand how he feels. If you weren't the centre of attention, then you'd be just as quiet as Tup is, shying away nervously in the cornerless booth.
"Let me get one for you," you offer, and Tup takes you up on it.
"Thank you, Comma- I mean, uh, love." Tup's expression turns sour, blushing at his fumbled reply. You brush the nerves off him by placing a kiss on his cheek, and watch in amazement as his face begins turning a different shade of red.
Tup mutters something to you, and you almost miss his words over the volume of the music. "You missed," he boldly states. Tup's definitely stolen that line from Fives, or has been taught it - either way, it's something Fives would say, and you know how close those two are.
"Oh?" you cheekily sigh. You're about to follow it up, until the bartender arrives, pulling your attention away from the clone.
Once your order is placed, you turn back to Tup, wanting to finish where you left off. He looks at you, then looks away, pulling an embarrassed face. Your fingertips are placed below Tup's chin, gently turning his head to face you, and before Tup can say anything, you lean in to kiss him.
Tup freezes up, before melting into the kiss, moving his head to fit against yours. A hand finds its way to the back of your neck, holding you there, as if to reassure himself that yes, this really is happening. Tup's kisses match his personality, sweet and gentle, but the tongue that slides across your lower lip suggests there's more to him than meets the eye.
You can overhear the sounds of cheering in the background, and you just know that it's coming from your men. You break away, not to be rude, but because you don't want the poor bartender to be stood there awkwardly as you're busy snogging a clone. Thankfully, they arrive moments later, and you two soon return to the booth with drinks and shots in hand.
Fives applauds his vod as Tup sheepishly sits down, and you go to take a seat beside him, until Jesse pulls you onto his lap. "You've had enough fun with him, come and give us some attention!" he playfully nips, and follows his statement up with a kiss on your neck.
"There's plenty of me to go around," you bite back, wiggling your hips slightly, grinding your ass on Jesse's lap. He sighs heavily at your move, wrapping his arms around your waist, holding you there.
You turn your attention to the drinks that you just brought, downing yet another shot, and washing it down with your beverage.
Minutes later, and you're really starting to feel the liquor running through your veins, as well as the undying urge to dance. Jesse is willing, and Hardcase lets you two know that he'll meet you over there, once he's gone and used the refresher. The rest of the clones stay seated, to your surprise, but then again, they don't seem like the type to dance. Well, Fives possibly, but he's barely able to stand, let alone dance, and Kix is nursing him back to soberness with many glasses of water.
Jesse follows you over to the dance floor, your hand in his, and it's busier than you expected. The dance floor is mostly full of clones and their squadrons, all celebrating various victories and whatnot, with a few women lingering about. You understand by now that women only come to this bar to pick up the clones, and can you blame them? Bless the Kaminoans for picking out Jango Fett to be their donor, as his genetics are excelling in all departments.
"My turn with you already?" Jesse questions as he begins dancing with you, swaying in time with the music.
"We've only been here for a few hours. I thought you'd be more patient?" you tease, and Jesse gives you a look.
"I'm patient when I want to be, sweetheart," Jesse shrugs. "But for you? I've been waiting a long time for this," he explains as he pulls you closer, wrapping his arms around your waist.
The tattooed clone smiles down at you, and the glisten in his eyes informs you that his patience truly is running thin. But how long will it be before it runs out? Or how much can you rile him up before he breaks?
"I'm sure you can wait a little longer," you flirt back, trailing your hand along his shirt, fingertips gliding over each of his buttons. You meet his collar and hook a finger over the fabric, gently pulling his head down to your level.
Jesse smirks as he replies "I don't think I can," before pressing his lips to yours. You can tell that Jesse's patience is running thin from the way he kisses you, hungry and lustful, playfully nipping at your lower lip. Your hands wrap around his neck, and you have to remind yourself that you left your bag with the others - that's why your hands are empty.
The hands on your waist trail down to your ass, and Jesse boldly grabs more than a handful, pulling your body tightly against his as he kneads your ass. You break the kiss with a yelp, and remind yourself that you're still in public, thankfully with no eyes set on you. "Jesse!" you playfully swat him, and he chuckles against your skin as his lips trail over your neck.
"You started without me!" A disappointed voice calls out, and warmth appears against your back.
Hardcase has returned from the refresher, pouting because the party has apparently started without him. Jesse moves his hands back to your waist, almost as if he's giving permission for Hardcase to press his crotch against your ass, sandwiching you between the two, tattooed clones. Your cheeks quickly turn red, and you must look more flustered than you feel, as the face that Hardcase and Jesse send each other informs you that they have something planned.
"So," Hardcase begins, his eyes flicking down to yours. "When are we taking you back?"
"Soon?" you nervously reply, questioning your own motives. It's hard to concentrate with an uneven sea turning in your stomach, but the liquor is thankfully helping - you'd be a lot more flustered if you were sober right now.
"Soon?" Jesse repeats, raising a brow at your reply. "Why not now, sweetheart?" he asks.
"Yeah," Hardcase nods, and then dips his head down to kiss along your neck. His kisses trail up to your ear, nipping at that sensitive spot behind it before stating "you look like you need us to fill you up."
A bold, yet true statement, but you're unsure if you want to leave just yet. Do you want to continue your teasing here? Or click your fingers and order your men to take you home and fuck you?
"She's thinkin' about it," Hardcase states, directing his words to Jesse.
"We know what you're thinking, babe, and we think that you've teased us enough already," Jesse says to you, and kneads his hands on your waist, picking and pulling at the fabric of your dress. Bold of him to assume what you're thinking - you're the Jedi here, not him. Either way, his thoughts are true. You have teased them enough, but there's no harm in drawing it out just a little longer, is there?
Jesse steals a kiss from you again, and you can feel him smiling as you let out a soft moan. Hardcase continues kissing up your neck, rutting his semi-hard cock against your ass; his lips wander down below your neckline, and he bites and sucks at your skin, leaving a purple blotch behind. It's in just the right place, an area where your Jedi robes will cover it up, but if you want to tease him on the battlefield, all you need to do is pull back at the thin layer of clothing, revealing his mark.
Just as Hardcase is about to kiss your neck again, a voice calls out "get a room!"
Oh yeah, you're doing all this on the dance floor of 79's. Whoops. Jesse pulls away and chuckles at the strangers remark. "See? Even he thinks we should get going," he states, and you finally agree to make a move.
Jesse leads you off the dance floor, and Hardcase keeps his hand comfortably around your waist. You wander back over to the booth, picking your drink up off the table and finishing it off. "It's time, boys!" Hardcase states, grinning from ear to ear.
"Oh?" Fives looks over to you, flashing you a cheeky grin. It seems the many glasses of water on the table have finally brought him back to a stable level; Kudos to Kix for dealing with him.
Tup passes you your bag as he shuffles off the sofas, and you thank him by pulling him down for a quick kiss. You break away with a soft laugh as you hear Fives complain "where's mine, huh?"
"You can get it when we're in the taxi," you explain.
Fives swats Hardcase's arm from around your waist, replacing it with his own, and mouths the words "my turn," to Hardcase, who simply laughs at his eagerness. You and Fives take the lead, exiting the club with your squad following behind.
--------
The ride back to the barracks is... eventful, as is entering the barracks itself. Jesse and Kix walk ahead, pretending to be drunker than they actually are so they can distract the guards with their very existence. The rest of you sneak by, sheltered by a wall of horny clones, and you're ushered into their dorm.
The second you step foot into the room, Fives is all over you. With his hands on your hips, he leads you over to the wall, pushing you up against it and locking his lips with yours. Fives's hand trails up to grab your bag, pulling it from your grasp, and chucking it onto a nearby bed, leaving your hands free to wrap around his neck. He's impatient and needy, hungrily kissing you, his hands struggling to find a single place to rest; they slide over your waist, down your back, and grab at your ass, before trailing up and repeating the process all over again.
"Kriff, calm down. She's not going anywhere," one of his vods comments. Kix possibly?
Fives ignores the comment and continues turning your legs into jelly, making up for all his apparent 'lost time.' When he does finally pull away, he's grinning. His pupils are blown, full of lust, eyeing you up like a piece of meat, until somebody swats him away.
"I'm the one who proposed this to her, so I get first dibs," Jesse intervenes. There's something thrilling about the way they're speaking about you, as if you're not there, as if you're their property. In some ways, you are theirs - you have always been theirs - but only tonight have things finally taken a step forward.
Somebody has dimmed the lights, enough to set the mood, but still light enough that you can see what's happening, and so can everyone else. Everybody's watching as Jesse leads you over to what you assume is his bunk, sitting down and pulling you onto his lap. Your knees fall onto either side of his hips, spreading your legs, your dress hiking up your thighs.
Jesse places his hands on your waist, holding you as his lips take over from where Fives left off. As he kisses you, he pulls down on your waist, grinding you over his semi-hard cock, reminding you of what's to come. You feel the hem of your dress slip up slightly over your ass, and one of the clones sighs at the small teaser.
Jesse knows what his vods are after, so his hands trail up your back, finding the zip. He slowly unzips your dress, taking his time to reveal what lies beneath, and breaks the kiss so he can pull your dress over your head, discarding it on the bunk next to him.
Needless to say, the air is filled with an array of praise, mutters and moans at the sight of you. You're straddling the ARC Trooper in your underwear and heels, now being freed of your bra. Jesse groans as your tits fall free, and moves his lips down your body, along your neck, over your collarbone, until he latches onto a nipple.
You feel something tug at your foot, and peer over your shoulder to see Hardcase removing your heels; he's polite (and sober) enough to place them down neatly, rather than tossing them to the floor, or worse, throwing them at his vods. Hardcase then stands up, peering over you, and prevents your lips from feeling lonely. He keeps your mouth occupied, whilst Jesse flicks between both of your tits, and both of them find their way to your panties.
"Need to get these off you," Hardcase mutters against your lips. Hardcase hooks his fingers around one strap, Jesse has the other, and the pair slowly slide them off you, moving with your body as you shuffle from Jesse's lap to remove them. You're left naked in a room full of your men, the men that have served under you for a few years now, but it seems that Jesse is the one taking the lead tonight.
"C'mere," Jesse mutters as he manhandles you off his lap. He shimmies around and lays down, his head at the foot of the bed, feet resting against his headboard. Jesse pats his shoulders before making grabby motions with his hands, signalling for you to climb aboard.
With one knee on either side of Jesse's face, you straddle him. Despite the alcohol still pumping through your system, you're still nervous, exposing yourself fully to your men. They're all reacting positively, a few of them palming themselves through their smart pants. Your nervousness doesn't stay for long, being brushed away as Jesse pulls your cunt down onto his face.
He licks a firm stripe over your pussy, followed by a few more curious ones, before wrapping his lips around your clit and sucking. You yelp, instinctively grinding down on Jesse's face, and he seems to like it from the hum he lets out. "Kriff," you overhear one of the clones mutter, and you realize it's Fives when he pipes up with "go on, sweetheart. Fuck his face!"
Jesse nods against your cunt, and the squad seems eager for a show, so, why not?
Firm hands hold onto your thighs, steadying you as you begin rocking back and forth over Jesse's tongue. He's flattened it out nicely, and at this angle, you're able to brush your clit over the wet muscle, grinding oh-so-perfectly. The room is filled with soft words of encouragement, "that's it, doll," and "keep going for us!"
You feel bad that Jesse isn't receiving anything in return, so whilst sitting on his face, you begin unfastening his pants, eventually freeing his cock.
Oh, thank the Maker for those yummy Jango Fett genes.
Jesse is thick, leaking with precum, slightly red at the tip. If he's thick, then that means the rest of them are thick... you're in store for quite a treat.
With one hand barely wrapped around Jesse's cock, you begin pumping his already hard length, earning a whimper from the man beneath you. Your hips have slowed in pace, and Jesse urges you to speed up by grabbing your hips and moving them for you. He takes over, fucking you onto his face for a few moments before steadying your hips again, and wrapping his lips around your clit instead.
You yelp, pumping Jesse's cock faster, and he lets out a similar pleasant sound. Another hand appears on your body, and you peer over your shoulder to see Hardcase grabbing your ass, kneading at your cheeks, playing with them. "Got room for one more?" he questions, eyeing you up.
"Uh-huh," you say with a nod.
Hardcase flashes you a cheeky grin before moving his head down to kiss over your cheeks, lightly biting at each mound, moving from one cheek to the other. Every time it feels like he's getting close to your entrance, he moves across to the other cheek, teasing you with a smile on his lips. You're half tempted to push back onto his face, but he beats you to it by running his tongue over your rim, circling your entrance curiously.
Hardcase doesn't hold back, attacking your entrance with his tongue, his hands kneading at each cheek. Jesse continues flicking his tongue against your clit, and a hand is removed from your thigh; fingertips brush over your pussy, slicking themselves up, before a finger slides into you, not stopping until he reaches his knuckle.
Jesse slowly begins working you open, not that you need it much, considering your heavy arousal. Hardcase notices and takes the hint, wetting his finger in his mouth before pressing the pad against your entrance. He circles your ass a few times, relaxing the muscle, before slowly and gently pushing in. Unlike Jesse, Hardcase takes his time, working with your body to slowly open your ass up.
Your hand continues sloppily pumping Jesse's length, just enough to keep him satisfied; you want to do more, but your thoughts and feelings are already occupied. Just when you think you can't take any more, another clone comes into your line of sight, and asks you those exact words as he knees down in front of you.
"Can you take any more?" Kix questions, eyeing you up, reading your body language.
"Uh-huh," you nod once more, and Kix seems content with your approval.
He plants a light kiss on your lips before standing, and works on unfastening his pants, revealing yet another thick cock for your pleasure. You know exactly what Kix is after, so you open your mouth, awaiting him; he lets out a groan at the sight, and slips his cock past your lips, the underside brushing over your tongue.
Both of your hands are occupied, with one propping your weight up, and the other pumping Jesse; so, you make do with your mouth, sucking him to the best of your ability, and despite being slightly sloppy, Kix seems more than satisfied. He's an understanding man who can clearly see how busy you are.
And oh kriff, you sure are busy.
An orgasm is sitting on the fence, waiting for that final push. Jesse slips another finger into you, curling them and searching for that sweet spot. He knows he's found it when he overhears a muffled moan, and your moan seems to echo, as one of the clones groans at the sight of you. Hardcase removes his finger from your ass, slipping his tongue in and tongue-fucking your small gape, slicking you up so he can begin pushing two fingers in. Like before, he goes slow, understanding the stretch and burn that you're feeling right now.
Hardcase, within time, reaches his knuckles, and gently works his fingers in and out of you. That sensation, added with Jesse's fingers in you, and lips around your clit, is more than enough to have you cumming. You have to slip off Kix's cock to let out a shaky moan, thighs and body trembling as your orgasm takes you. Your forehead presses against Kix's thigh, eyes scrunched shut and mouth hanging open, and Kix soothes you by running his fingers through your hair, keeping it off your face.
You overhear Tup gasp, Dogma whine, and Fives cheer you on. "That's it, sweetheart," one of them encourages, but your mind is so hazy that you're not sure who it was. Either way, the words of encouragement are appreciated, as well as the soothing touches that Kix and Jesse are leaving over your body.
You soon come back around, still trembling from the intensity. Your eyes meet Kix's, who places a kiss on your forehead before settling down on the bunk beside you, muttering something about you having your hands full.
Curiously, you peer over your shoulder, and only then do you realize that Hardcase now has three fingers inside your ass. You're ready, and Hardcase flashes you a look that confirms it. "Wanna see what else we can do?" Hardcase questions, and you swiftly nod, accepting their advances.
Hardcase slowly slips his fingers from your ass, and works on removing his clothes. A kiss is planted on your inner thigh before Jesse gives you the signal to roll off, and you do so, letting the clone crawl out from beneath you. His face is soaked - no, drenched - and your juices have dribbled down over his chin, darkening the collar of his shirt.
"How do I look?" Jesse chuckles, before wiping his mouth and chin with his shirt sleeve. Taking Hardcase's idea, he too undresses, leaving you sat on your knees on his bunk.
Hardcase frees himself from his clothes first, and takes a seat beside you. He's about to get into position, until Fives calls out his protest. "You just had a go with her!" he whines.
"We'll be quick," Hardcase winks. He gets comfortable on the bunk, lying on his back, head pressed against the pillow. Hardcase makes a grabbing motion at you whilst mumbling "I want your ass," and with a laugh, you begin getting into position.
At first, you feel awkward and exposed, settling so your back is pressed to Hardcase's tattooed chest. He takes the lead, swinging your legs on either side of his, spreading you wide, and signalling for you to hold your hips up. Hardcase wraps his hand around the base of his cock and begins searching for your entrance, and with your help, he finds your ass.
"Go at your own pace, babe," Hardcase comments, and allows you to take your time sliding down onto his cock. Despite being prepped, Hardcase is still a stretch, slowly working your ass open. A mixture of groans fill the room as you slowly slide onto him, soon reaching his base, a gasp escaping your lips. "Beautiful," Hardcase comments, and reaches around to flick his fingers over your clit, attempting to help you relax.
"You ready for me?" Jesse questions, and all you can do is nod as nothing escapes your lips. Jesse shuffles up the bed, settling between your thighs. He slowly enters you, making a comment under his breath about how soaked your pussy is.
Jesse slides in with ease, holding his cock deep inside you, bottoming out. He awaits your signal before making a move, as does Hardcase, and when you give it, both the clones start slowly.
Your head rolls back to rest on Hardcase's shoulder, and the tattooed clone places a kiss on your temple before turning his focus to bucking up into your ass. Jesse's speed is slightly faster, considering he's in an easier position, and fucking a looser hole. Either way, you're full to the brim, moaning and groaning for them as Hardcase continues flicking his fingers over your clit.
"Kriff, doesn't she look good?" you overhear Kix comment.
Dogma follows up with, "if only you could see yourself, Commander."
Commander, Kriff. That status somehow slipped your mind - you're their Commander, their superior, and your men are currently watching you be fucked, whilst queueing up to take their turn with you. Let's hope your Jedi training has paid off, as you're going to need an extra stern poker-face the next time you're in their presence, or worse, in the presence of your Master.
Jesse, from the sounds that he's making, doesn't seem like he's going to last long. In his defense, you have been pumping his cock this entire time, despite your handiwork being somewhat sloppy. Hardcase's hand on your clit brushes over the perfect spot, causing you to clench in response, and that is more than enough to bring Jesse to orgasm.
"Where?" he manages to blurt out.
"Inside," you order, and every single clone in the room groans at your reply.
Jesse is about to ask if you're certain, but his body gives up before he can speak. Jesse slides his cock as deep as he can, and fills you up, panting and groaning as he releases. He's a debauched, a sweaty mess, possibly still drunk from earlier. Once he's somewhat stable, he slips his cock from you, slowly shuffling off the bed and collapsing on a nearby bunk.
Hardcase kisses your neck, as if to remind you that he's still there, or warning you, since he moves his hands to hold beneath your knees, pulling your knees up against your shoulders, and begins fucking up into your ass.
Your legs are spread, displayed for the other clones to watch as Hardcase ensures that you won't be able to walk for weeks. He's a grunting, sputtering mess beneath you, groaning into the curve of your neck as he chases his release.
A few more thrusts and Hardcase is finishing in your ass, holding your body tight against his as he leaves his mark. You're almost certain you heard a few whimpers from him, meaning his orgasm must have been intense. Eventually, a sweaty Hardcase begins slipping himself from you, being gentle as he rolls you off his chest.
Hardcase has barely removed himself off the bunk before another clone calls out "I'm next," and you look in the direction of the voice to see Dogma slipping his clothes off.
"Dogma? You?" Tup questions.
"Yeah, me!" he states, pointing a finger to himself.
"I didn't think you would," Tup shrugs, and in Tup's defence, you agree with him.
"I thought you'd be the type to tell on us," an exhausted Jesse comments, still laying back on a nearby bunk, spread out and panting heavily.
"Even if he did, I don't think anybody would believe him," Fives adds with a laugh.
"Stop being so mean to him, Troopers. Dogma is just as welcome as everybody else," you defend, and the clone thanks you with a smile.
"As welcome as everybody else?" Fives repeats your word. "Kriff, Commander, I didn't realize you were inviting the entire Legion!" he jokes, and you roll your eyes at Fives's comment, twisting your words cheekily.
You ignore Fives's playful remark, turning your attention to Dogma instead, who's just about finished removing his shirt. "How do you want me, handsome?" you question.
Dogma's eyes light up at your little nickname, and he orders you to "get on your front, hands and knees, and face the boys."
Orders are orders, and you follow them without question. Dogma shuffles in behind you, kneading your ass for a few moments before wrapping his hand around his cock. You're already slick enough, with your own release smeared around your thighs, and a release in both holes, so Dogma doesn't bother using his own spit to slick up his cock. Instead, he glides his cock over your pussy, ensuring the tip of his cock flicks over your clit with every thrust, and once he's satisfied, he begins pushing into your ass.
You let out an "oh," as Dogma slides in, letting out a grunt as he bottoms out. With his hands on your hips, and the signal from you to continue, Dogma begins fucking your ass, gawking over the sight of his cock disappearing and reappearing from you. "That's it," he mutters under his breath. "Kriff, you look so good for me."
"For us," Kix intervenes, and Dogma shoots him a grumpy glare.
Dogma is clearly trying to prove his vods wrong, showing them that he wants this, that he won't rat everybody out for breaking so many rules. His thrusts are heavy, the sound of your ass slapping against his pelvis fills up the room, pushing moans from your lips with every thrust. You can feel Hardcase's release slowly being pushed from your ass, settling around your rim, soon to be replaced with Dogmas.
You overhear someone shuffling about, and Kix soon appears in your line of sight. "I'm back," he says with a smile. "Care to continue where we left off?" Kix questions, and lets out a pleasant sigh when you nod in agreement.
This time, you have your hand free, and you wrap it around Kix's cock as the tip slips into your mouth. Dogma's not letting up his thrusts, pushing your head forwards with every roll of his hips, causing you to lightly gag on Kix's length. Kix seems to enjoy it, as do the viewers, and the sensation is alright for you; so, you continue, eventually letting Kix begin thrusting and fucking your mouth, his pace matching Dogmas.
Kix notices the lack of attention on your pussy, and leans forward, hand reaching out to dip beneath your body and help get you off, but Dogma swats his hand away. At first, you're insulted, as is Kix, until Dogma speaks up and explains his actions. "Let's see how long she can last without being touched," he cheekily states, and Kix flashes him a similar smile before looking down at you.
"Sorry, Commander. Orders are orders," Kix shrugs, and returns to fucking your mouth.
You let out a whine, as does Tup, who seems sympathetic at the lack of attention in your key areas. Fives, on the other hand, is hollering, "she won't last long. She'll be begging for it soon!"
Ugh, he's right. Despite already having an orgasm, you're chasing another, eager for that certain-something to help get you off. The more Dogma and Kix fuck you, the more your cunt burns, and when you try to remove your hand from Kix's cock, he wraps his hand around your wrist to prevent you from touching yourself, clicking his tongue with a disapproving "ah-ah!"
"Soon, sweetheart," Dogma says from behind you, and judging from the way his cock is twitching in your ass, you assume he's close.
Dogma picks up his pace, ruining your own pace on Kix's cock - or improving it, as Kix groans when you gag, spit pooling from the corners of your mouth. "So wet," Kix comments under his breath, and returns to fucking your mouth again, grunting and moaning with every thrust.
"Oh, Maker!" Dogma sighs as he pushes his cock as deep as it'll go. With his hands tightly around your hips, he earns his release, filling your ass with hot, sticky cum. Your moan is muffled from Kix's cock, who has slowed his thrusts, almost to a halt. Kix waits for Dogma to finish, and once he's slipped out, he manhandles you into a new position.
Kix rolls you onto your back, legs against the edge of the bed. He's clearly in a rush, his orgasm sitting on the edge, and he hurries to slide his cock into your pussy, one leg up on the bed, the other remaining on the floor.
Kix only thrusts a few times before bottoming out and cumming inside, his load mixing with Jesse's, who has finally perked up after passing out on another bunk. "Good girl," Kix mutters as the pad of his thumb presses to your clit, grinding in circles a few times. He's milking his release, slowly fucking you in a hazy post-orgasm state, biting his lip whenever you clench around his overstimulated cock.
When Kix can't take any more, he pulls out, and your clit is left unattended. You can feel his and Jesse's load leaking from you, and your eyes lock onto Tup, who was just eyeing up your cunt, his cheeks turning red at the sight of your sticky, cum soaked pussy.
"We're up, Tup!" Fives says with a laugh, patting his vod on the shoulder, snapping him out of his fixated state. Fives has the audacity to follow up his rhyme with finger guns, causing you to roll your eyes at the cheek of this man.
Tup lets out a "huh?" before realising that it's his turn to play with you. The pair are quick to strip off; Fives leaves his clothes strung over the floor, whilst Tup leaves his on his bunk. Just like the rest of your squad, they're hung, and your holes are already beginning to feel sore at the sight of them.
Fives motions for you to stand, and with extremely wobbly legs, you manage to get up, clinging onto Fives as you do so. "Tup, c'mere and help me out," Fives playfully orders, before turning his focus to you.
He bends down slightly, arms stretched out, and asks for you to wrap your legs around his waist. "Catch her if she falls, Tup," Fives comment, and you hear a soft "oh, kriff," from behind you.
Well, you don't fall. Your legs are wrapped around Fives's waist, hands around his neck, awaiting the next move. Five pauses, staring out into thin air, before realizing his mistake.
"Wait, I want to fuck your ass... Tup, you pick her up," Fives comments, and gently places you back down on the floor, only to spin you around so you're facing Tup instead.
"Idiot," Jesse mutters under his breath, and Fives glares at him over your shoulder.
Tup wraps his arms around your waist, and on his nod, you jump up into his lap. He moves your legs to wrap around his waist, ankles crossing over, and your hands trail up to settle on his shoulders, fingertips playing with his loose strands of hair. Tup, for some reason, is trembling, and you're uncertain if it's from your weight, or his nerves. A soothing kiss on his nose reveals that it's his nerves, as he begins to relax, and your weight is then shared between the two clones as Fives approaches you from behind.
Fives focuses on slipping his cock into your ass, before taking your weight off Tup, allowing him to slide up into your pussy. The pair bottom out, pulling you down onto their lengths, and find an even way to hold your weight, making it easier on everybody.
At first, the pair are an uneven, a sloppy mess, struggling to find the right rhythm. Despite their lack of sync, you're still enjoying yourself, but the second they finally sync up, it's game over. With your hands desperately clinging onto Tup's shoulders, you roll your head back against Fives's shoulder, moaning and groaning as the fuck you.
Tup lets out a sigh as he comments "you're so good for us," his hands kneading at your thighs around his waist.
"Isn't she just?" Fives smirks, and his hands on your ass give you a squeeze. "Poor Tup here looks like he's going to cum already," Fives bites at his vod, and Tup sends him a disappointed glare.
"Play nice, you two," you softly order, not wanting to be stuck in the middle of their play fight.
They let out a "yes, Commander," as their thrusts continue, the sound of synced up skin against skin echoing around the dorm room.
However, the sound of the door opening makes everybody jump out of their skin, and you all turn with wide eyes to see none other than Captain Rex entering the room. Fives and Tup come to a halt, Jesse sits up on his bunk, and everybody awaits Rex's move.
Rex, with a stern expression, reaches a hand out to press the lock button on the dorms' door. "You forgot to lock it," he states, then tuts and shakes his head, scolding his men for their sloppiness.
Rex is still in uniform, his helmet tucked under his arm. The sound of heavy footsteps slowly approaches you, Tup, and Fives, and all three of you watch as Rex comes to a halt in front of you. You gulp, despite being a higher ranking than Rex, and despite knowing that he is also in on this.
The expression Rex gives you sends a shiver down your spine; he raises a single brow, slowly eyeing all of you up and down, before his lips finally trail into a smirk. A gloved hand reaches out and finds its way between your legs, instantly settling over your clit. Rex begins to slowly rub your clit, the fabric of his gloves giving you that something extra, and he speaks up in his usual, bold, military tone.
"You've got to play with her as you're fucking her, boys," Rex states, smirking as he notices everybody's expressions drop, letting out sighs of relief. "How is she meant to cum if you're not focusing on the right areas?" Rex questions, and gestures for his men to pick up their pace again.
Fives and Tup begin bucking up into you again, still slightly nervous, but lust soon takes over and evens them out. Rex turns his full attention to you, and the deepness of his voice makes your pussy clench. "Have these men served you well?" he questions.
"They have," you mutter, nodding as you speak, eager to express your fondness.
"That's good to hear, Commander," the Captain smirks. His eyes stay glued to yours, and you can't bare to look away. His fingers are working wonders on your clit, and the sensation of Fives and Tup tending to you is swiftly becoming too much. Your breaths become quick and short, and your eyes struggle to stay open. Rex takes not and announces, "she's close, boys."
"Go on, show off for Rex," Fives says against your ear, and Tup nods along in agreement. A few more thrusts and you're clenching around their cocks, both men grunting and moaning as you up their sensation. Rex doesn't stop playing with your clit, at first, until your thighs begin to twitch from overstimulation; only then does he pull away, taking a step back and settling his hands on his hips after placing his helmet down on a nearby bunk.
Tup lets out a whine, and you can feel his cock twitching inside you. "Good boy, Tup," you direct your praise to him, and that alone is enough to make him cum. Tup buries his head into the curve of your neck, groaning against your skin as his load joins the others inside you, most of it oozing out past his cock and dripping to the floor.
"Kriff, guess it's my turn," Fives comments with a light laugh. He buries his head into your other shoulder, kissing and nipping at your skin as he continues fucking your ass. It doesn't take long for Fives to also cum, burying his length up to the base, and groaning when you twitch from overstimulation. "So karking good," Fives mutters, and repeats his compliment as he lifts his head off your shoulder, before kissing your cheek.
Slowly and steadily, the pair lower you, avoiding the slippy patches of cum on the floor that has dripped from both your holes. You're debauched, exhausted in every aspect, and undeniably cock-dumb as Rex approaches and asks "got room for your Captain?"
"Always," you steadily sigh. Rex chuckles at your eagerness, then gestures for you to get comfortable on a bunk.
You pick Jesse's bunk, seeing as it's already a mess, plus it's in the centre of everybody's line of sight. Knowing Rex, he'll want to make a show of this, turning it into some training exercise as a way of covering up what is really going on here.
You sit back on the bed, falling back onto your elbows, and watch as Rex approaches. He unfastens his codpiece, discarding it onto a nearby bunk, and pulls his semi-hard cock out from beneath his blacks. The Captain is clean-shaven, thick and girthy, another cock to add onto your 'reasons why I can't walk this week' list.
Rex slips his gloves off before pumping himself with one hand, the other reaching down to trail over your overly sensitive cunt. Gentle fingertips slide over your wet folds, and Rex spreads you apart, revealing the sticky mess leaking from your entrance. "I see they've been keeping you full," Rex comments as his fingers trail up to glide over your clit, pressing firmly and flicking over the bud.
"Very full," you nod along. Your eyes flick to Rex's cock, which is now hard, precum leaking like crazy. Rex notices the way you're looking at his length, and he stops pumping his shaft, holding at the base instead, as if to present it.
"Is this what you want?" he teasingly questions, causing you to shudder.
"Yes, Captain," you nod, and Rex lets out a satisfied sigh.
"Place the order, Commander," Rex orders in his own way.
You lick your lips, followed by clearing your throat, and keep your eyes locked onto your Captains as you state "your orders are to fuck me, Captain."
"Yes, Ma'am."
You overhear a handful of men groan at your tone of voice, no doubt working themselves up again. "I'll show you boys how it's done," Rex says with a smug laugh as he moves both of his hands to your knees, and slowly pushes them up until they're almost pressing your shoulders, folding your body in half. He keeps one hand on your knee, the other holding the base of his cock as he begins slipping into you.
It isn't until you feel cold plastoid pressing against your body that you realize he's still in uniform.
Rex is fucking you with his armour on? Oh.
The sound that Rex lets out as he bottoms out is one that will forever play on repeat in the back of your mind. He holds himself there, scrunching his eyes shut as he regains focus, enticed by how wet and warm you feel. Once Rex has evened out, he begins thrusting into you, and oh Kriff, this man does not hold back.
With your body folded in half, Rex is able to drive his cock even deeper, his tip brushing over your g-spot with every thrust. Your legs find their way around his upper back, ankles locking over each other, and to encourage Rex, you press your heel against his back, urging him to give you all he's got. Rex's eyes meet yours, a single brow raised, and he makes a brief comment about how needy you are.
You're already a babbling mess, and Rex has only just begun! No doubt, you'll pass out the second he's finished with you, but your men are here to pick up the pieces, labelling you as a war hero for helping them during such desperate times.
"How're you doing, sweetheart?" Rex questions, affectionate eyes locking onto your half-lidded ones.
"G-good," is all you can reply, and Rex chuckles at your cock-dumb mentality.
When words fail, actions speak, and Rex dips his head down to introduce his lips to yours. Despite his heavy thrusts, the kiss is steady, adding to your overstimulation. You've always been fond of your Captain, but you could never quite put your finger on why; now you've got it - it's because he fucks so kriffing good!
As the kiss breaks, you reach around Rex's neck, hands clasping onto his back, attempting to rake your nails into his slippery armour. Rex lets out a soft laugh before kissing along your neck, leaving his mark below where your Jedi robes sit - what a smart man.
"Rex, I'm-" you blurt out.
"I know, sweetheart," Rex replies in a soothing voice, only for his tone to turn stern as he questions "you're going to cum for me, aren't you, Commander?"
Your reply can't seem to leave your lips, so you nod in response. Rex chuckles at your desperation, and to your surprise, he stops what he's doing. His thrusts come to a sharp halt, and he quickly slips his cock from you, leaving you with your mouth hanging open.
Just as you're about to question what he's doing, as are the other clones, he sits on the end of the bed beside you and slips two fingers into your cunt, instantly curling them and fucking you where he left off.
Rex clearly knows something you don't, but you allow him to take the ropes, especially as your orgasm is on the edge. There's a strange sensation in your gut, something you haven't quiet felt before, and judging from the way it's growing with Rex's movements, you assume you'll soon find out.
"Watch and learn, boys," Rex states, but keeps his eyes focused, locked onto yours.
You're putty in his grasp, mewling on the bed, not bothering to hold back on your moans. You're about to cum, any second now, but that foreign sensation takes over instead. Suddenly, everything becomes too much, especially Rex's fingers hitting that soft spot inside you over and over. You yelp as something takes over your body, an orgasm of some kind; on shaky elbows, you rush to prop yourself up, gazing down to watch in amazement as you squirt all over your Captain's arm, the liquid coating his plastoid armour.
"Good girl," Rex coos through gritted teeth, repeating the praise, but doesn't let up just yet. Kriff, you're screaming, even with your hand over your mouth. You fall back onto the bed, clawing at the sheets as this orgasm lasts longer than usual.
Even after you squirt, Rex continues fucking you with his fingers, as if to ensure that you're empty. He eventually calms down, and only then does your volume begin to drop, revealing the vast amount of praise from your troopers.
"That was beautiful, Commander!" Fives calls out.
"Kriff, she's shaking," you overhear Tup comment.
Jesse whines "my karking bed is soaked..." under his breath, which makes you smile to yourself. He was the one to suggest his bed, so he can lie in his wet grave!
A gentle stroke of your hair makes you open your eyes, only to meet Kix, who's gazing down at you. "Are you alright?" he questions.
"Uh-huh," you lazily nod, and he smiles at your exhaustion. Kix slowly props you up, letting you fall back against him. Your eyes trail to Rex, who looks almost as tired as you do. He's wiping something off his thigh, and if your calculations are correct, his thigh was out of your splash zone.
"Did you cum?" you ask Rex, who looks up at you with a tired smile. He nods in confirmation.
"Untouched," Rex states, and you take pride in making him cum in such a way.
You have a sudden burst of energy, and use it to lean forwards and thank your Captain with a kiss. Rex smiles against your lips before playfully nipping at your bottom lip, earning a sarcastic comment of "get a room!" from Jesse.
"I think we should get you into the refresher instead," Rex comments as he breaks the kiss.
"As good as that sounds, I can't walk," you sigh, and attempt to gesture to your jelly-like body, only for your arms to flap about and fall flat at your sides.
Rex laughs at your exhaustion, then informs you that he'll run you a bath instead. You look at him with a surprised expression, to which he states "I know, I wasn't expecting the GAR to treat us to baths, either."
Rex leaves you in the company of Kix, who begins checking over your body whilst asking you over and over if you're alright.
------
A nice, hot bath doesn't take long for Rex to run. Hardcase, now in his blacks, with caution, picks you up and carries you to the dorms' refresher. He's extra gentle as he places your feet on the tile floor, keeping his arm around your waist to steady yourself as you slowly enter the bath.
Hardcase steals a kiss from you, muttering "thanks for tonight, Commander," against your lips before leaving you to it.
Kix enters the second Hardcase exits, bringing you a glass of water and a certain prevention pill. "Let me know if you need anything," he informs you before kissing your forehead and leaving you to relax.
Only for Fives to come barrelling in, instantly blabbering on about how good you were. "I always assumed you'd be quite the slut, but... well, I wasn't expecting that," Fives playfully jabs, and insists that "we should all do it again some time!"
Dogma peers his head around the door and barks at Fives to leave you alone, but the second he shoos Fives out, he replaces the emptiness with himself instead. "Eh, Fives is right," Dogma comments, referring to Fives statement. "But don't tell him I said that," he grumbles as he steals a kiss from you.
You stretch back in the bath, enjoying the GAR assigned bubbles, and just when you think you're alone, Tup appears. "I don't want to smother you..." he sheepishly comments, "but I wanted to thank you for tonight." You can't help but laugh at Tup's kind demeanour, and the smile remains on your lips as Tup offers you a massage.
You accept, under the cheeky condition that Tup joins you in the bath. His cheeks turn pink at your suggestion, and continue turning pink the more he undresses. Tup even attempts to cover himself up as he settles in the bath with you, making you giggle once more.
Tup has your back resting against his chest, tenderly burying his fingertips into your damp skin, softening out those tight areas. You overhear commotion outside, and both of you laugh as it unfolds.
"No fair! Tup's in there having another round with her!" Fives protests, his voice thudding through the thickness of the refresher door.
"Leave her alone, Fives. She's a free woman, she can do what she wants!" Somebody defends, and you're almost certain it's Dogma.
"They're just cuddling, leave them alone," Rex intervenes, and you know it's Rex from his firmness and slight difference in tone.
Following the Captain's orders, you and Tup are left to it, cuddling and lazily washing each other. Once the water turns cold, you both make your exit, drying yourselves off and gawking when Tup lets down his hair, only to refasten it into another, fresh manbun.
A pair of blacks has been left for you on the side, and despite them being a little big, they still fit snugly. As you exit the refresher, the first thing you notice is that Jesse's bed has been completely stripped, bedding in the wash. The dorm is clean, and your clothes and bag have been folded and placed on Jesse's empty bed.
"I guess I'm staying the night," you comment, and gesture to ask who you're bundling up with.
Before anyone can get a word in, the Captain speaks up. "I missed out on most of the night, so I'd like to catch up with you."
You're unsure if 'catch up' means have a chat, or wake up to find Rex spoon-fucking you, but either way, you're down. With a nod of confirmation, you begin settling in for the night, curling up in Rex's bunk as he continues changing from his armour into a fresh pair of blacks to sleep in.
"Wait a minute," Jesse intervenes. "Where am I sleeping?" he questions, setting his hands on his hips with frustration.
"You can go give Tup a cuddle, he loves them, apparently," Fives maliciously comments, sending playful, yet bold daggers at his vod.
"Ah, leave Tup alone," Dogma defends him.
Before Fives can take another jab, Hardcase barks up with "we can spoon!" And Jesse doesn't look too pleased at his suggestion.
"You can join us, Jesse," Rex disgruntledly states.
"You do know these beds are singles, right?" Jesse states as he gestures to the small, single beds, barely big enough for one clone, let alone two, and you.
"Yes, but from what I've seen, the Commander likes it when she has a clone pressed up on either side of her," Rex teases, side-eyeing you as he comments.
An array of laugher fills the air, and Jesse nods in agreement. You remain quiet, as there's no point denying something that is blatantly true!
The lights are soon turned out, and the boys take it in turns to say goodnight to each other. In the dark, you feel Rex join you, manhandling you into position. Your head finds Rex's chest, an arm sprawled out underneath your neck, and your arm wraps around Rex's waist. Jesse then joins, and since your back is free, he decides to spoon you, trapping you perfectly in your 501st sandwich. Before falling asleep, you make a minor comment to Rex, as if to apologize for him not being there tonight. "We'll make sure you come with us next time," you quietly comment, referring to 79's, the venue that lead you here.
Jesse chuckles before mentioning how wild the night went. "You should have seen her, Captain. She's the sluttiest woman in the galaxy, grinding on Hardcase whilst making out with me," Jesse explains, and you lightly elbow him in the ribs for leaking so much information. A few men can be heard giggling in their bunks, if only you could elbow them too.
"Oh really?" Rex responds, his pitch heightening him as he asks. "Well, I'll definitely be there next time, and I'll ensure that I make up for my lack of presence," Rex promises, and knowing Rex, this is a promise he'll keep.
"I can't wait," you reply, softly yawning against Rex's chest.
"Neither can I," Fives comments from across the dorm, earning a giggle from Hardcase.
"Alright, men. That's enough. Go to sleep," Rex orders.
"Yeah, Captain's orders," you playfully comment, earning yet another sea of giggles.
Within time, the bunch calm down, and the air is soon graced with the soothing sounds of snoring clones. It doesn't take long for you to fall asleep, as your exhausted body is begging for some rest. You doze off, sandwiched snugly between an ARC Trooper and the Captain of the 501st.
What a dream!!!!

Thank you so much for sharing your writing! For a prompt, what about Bly and Aayla going undercover to take out Dooku?
“You're sure about this, Bly?” Aayla asks softly, like she can't already see that Bly's armor is set aside, packed away, and his normally neatly-buzzed hair has been left to grow out, shaggy and just starting to curl. He’s already made all the changes that say he’s ready, and it’s only Aayla's own hesitation that shows uncertainty.
Glancing up from the tiny mirror propped up behind the sink, Bly raises a brow. “Very sure, General,” he says. “Seeing as the other option is letting you go alone.”
Aayla smiles ruefully, crossing her legs beneath herself on the bed. The other option would have been safer for Bly, and he would have taken on a new general, not had to worry. But he’d volunteered regardless, helped craft their cover, and—
It’s less of a lie than it likely should be.
“If I didn’t go, the Council would have sent Quinlan,” she says, and she has all the faith in the world in Quinlan, but—he walks in the shadows too much as it is. With Anakin having left the Order, Quinlan took command of the 501st, and having troops t who depend on him, having one thing to focus on that’s always in the light of day, or at least not always in the dark, has been so good for him that Aayla can't see him turn back to what he was before. It made the choice to take the mission easy, when Tholme told her the alternative the Council was considering.
Bly agreeing was a surprise.
Bly grunts, focusing on the mirror again as he finishes shaving. “Besides,” he says, and it’s a little wry, “this is a better cover story, right?” He pauses, and then deliberately says, like he’s reminding himself, “Aayla.”
Aayla is glad she’s the only Jedi here, that she’s the only one who can feel her reaction to Bly using her given name. She knows the respect he usually gives her title, but—her name is something else entirely. And it’s all he’ll be using, right up until the end of the mission.
Maybe after, too, if she has her way. Assuming they survive it.
“A clone and a Jedi in love?” she asks wryly, and doesn’t let her gaze linger on the breadth of Bly's shoulders, the curls of gold that run across his shoulders and down his back. “Disillusioned and on the run? I do sometimes wonder how much of a romantic Master Yoda believes Dooku is, to think that he would come after us just because of that sort of story.”
“More like Dooku's willing to use our desperation against us,” Bly says darkly, and straightens, grabbing a towel and scrubbing it over his face. When he turns, there's something equally dark on his face, and he leans back against the sink, tossing the towel over his shoulder and then folding his arms over his chest. The gold on his forearms catches the light, bright and sleek. “And against the Republic.”
“And we shall use that against him.” Aayla smiles, uncurling herself and coming to her feet, and the room is small enough that it only takes two long steps to put her right in front of Bly. When she rises up on her toes, it’s almost enough to put them on eye level with each other, and she can see the flicker of amusement in Bly's face. He puts his hands on her hips, steadying her, and Aayla brushes the backs of her fingers against his cheek, light and lingering, right beneath the smear of gold there.
“I believe you missed a spot,” she says lightly.
Bly snorts, pulling her in just slightly. Aayla wants him to do it more firmly, wants him to realize that she wants it, but—
They have time. However long it takes to get to Dooku, to kill him, to find his Master. And then after that, when the war is over, they’ll have still more time, just for them. Bly will realize this isn't just an extension of their flirting, isn't just an act. Eventually. Aayla has full faith in him.
“Part of my rugged charm,” Bly says, mouth curving, and then he pauses. Looks down at her for a long moment, then reaches up, and the light curl of his fingers around a lek is enough to make Aayla's breath catch.
“We’ll make it, Aayla,” he says, low, and Aayla smiles crookedly, leaning forward to rest her head against the bare line of his collarbone.
“We will,” she says, and believes it. “Together.”
Bly breathes out, slow, careful, and his arm slides around her back, pulls her close. They only have a few more hours before they have to start running, before Mace's faked murder is found and Fox starts putting the pieces together and finds the seeds the Council planted, then comes after them. But until then—
Until then, this is good. Bly's arms around her, and his heartbeat under her ear, and a chance to fix everything in front of them. Aayla isn't about to let it slip through their fingers.

Solidarity and Serenity
A moment of respite from the frontlines finds Cody in his favorite place talking to his favorite person about his general. Who Cody’s pretty sure is in love with him.
Cody/Bultar Swan
AO3
All im saying is that Cody deserves to be with someone who knows what seasoning is.
Anyways, if you didn't realize, this is not a fic for fans who see Obi-Wan as someone who can do no wrong— and not a codywan space. This is about Bultar and Cody, neither of which really see Obi-Wan as their 'favorite' person.
Inspired by these two posts by @d3epfriedangels and @jekyllnahyena respectfully
The sound of the rain on the roof of the Temple was a steady noise, one that could have lulled Cody to sleep. And by all means, he really could’ve dozed off considering how comfortable he was. It wasn’t every day that he was off duty and spend time with his partner.
He had almost dozed off already, too— and who could blame him, really?
It felt nice to be a bit pampered, with careful fingers combing and carding through his hair— hair that was wet from a rather warm shower.
He could almost imagine that this was what life would be like after the War— if he made it out alive. The optimist inside of him wanted it to be true, of course. Wanted to say that of course he would make it out, that he and his brothers would live and the life after the War would be better— but realistically, he knew better.
Cody was, after all, the Marshall Commander of the Third Systems Army: Gamma. Nicknamed the “Sunrise” Army for Cody’s own choice in paint color and decor. He had seen his brothers die off and watched as they were replaced as if they were simply stock and fodder, not sentiant beings.
But he could imagine, nonetheless.
In rare moments of shore leave, he could imagine that this was what it would be like. With some holo-movie he really didn’t care all that much about playing in the background and settled between his partner’s knees as gentle hands messed with his hair.
And no calls from his General.
No calls about the War, about forms and paperwork that needed to be done, about supplies, or the others in the 212th. Because they knew not to bother him this time— and promised to behave themselves. They weren’t the 501st, after all.
Ah, but, even when the men behaved there was no guarantee that their General would. Cody probably would owe a few other brothers aside from Banks some favors, considering how a number of them AND their generals were somehow keeping his own busy.
Because, and he’d be the first to admit it, Obi-Wan Kenobi was annoying as hell.
Little gods, just thinking about it made him snort softly.
“Something funny?”
Cody tilted his head back, glancing up at the face of his partner, her dark eyes curious but amused.
In truth, he never expected to really fall ass over kettle in love for someone, especially not a Jedi. But damn, Bultar Swan was definitely easy on the eyes, in Cody’s most humble opinion.
And it had all started with a joint mission with the 370th's Avian Company.
Joint missions outside of the 501st were rare, but an event that never happened. And while it was improper to do so, Cody had to admit that he had been more than relieved to be free of General Anakin Skywalker for a mission or two— the Jedi was far to reckless and didn’t exactly seem to care that much about those around him as long as he could show off his ‘talent’.
The Avian Company had proven themselves to be been extremely efficient. 104th Battalion levels of efficient, in fact.
There was something to say about a Jedi who was absolutely in tune with the tide of the battle and always had more than one backup plan. And a Jedi who had a remarkably lower death count.
And about a Jedi who had no qualms leaping right into the fight barehanded.
Now Cody wasn’t the type of man who believed in love at first sight, but he might be convinced if the concept of ‘love at first witnessing the other punch a droid out’ was a real thing. Because watching Bultar Swan nail a Battle Droid right in the face after her lightsaber had been shot out of her hand had been a sight to see.
At the time, he recalled thinking that Bultar Swan was a woman of many talents— and damn if a strong woman didn’t do something to him.
It had been slow to start, Cody hadn’t even been sure how to approach romance with a Jedi— Kenobi was always spouting stuff on how it wasn’t allowed because Jedi didn’t do romance, which was bullshit because Wolffe and Monnk complained all the time about their Generals all but fucking on Joint missions together— or if she was even interested in the idea.
Hell, Cody didn’t even know how to "romance" a normal person.
But it had come naturally in the end.
Surprisingly, the 212th and Bultar’s Avian Company often had shore leave around the same time. Sometimes it had been with both Whiteout and Glade Company— and Cody had become acquainted with General Lissarkh and General Agen Kolar, as well as Generals Sha Koon and Voolvif Monn— but without fail, Bultar did what Kenobi didn’t, and that was offer to pay for real food for the men.
It might be “just takeout”, as she called it the first time, but she had a lot of pull with some palaces apparently. Plus, according to her, it was cheaper to buy things in mass bulk. He didn’t know how true that was but at the time he hadn’t cared all that much. The men got real food and there was a sense of ease among these Jedi.
Between casual conversations and shared meals between companies in the hangar after a successful mission, things ended up progressing between them and now Cody was here.
He wouldn’t change a thing.
The Marshall Commander shifted again as Bultar Swan continued to look at him questioningly before he let out a soft huff in the form of a laugh.
“Nothing much,” he answered finally. “Just about—“ he made a hand motion before reaching for an unopened can of whatever drink Bultar had brought over when she had sat down. “Kenobi.”
She made a face at that, and he laughed again. He knew that the two had a rather… complicated relationship to an extent. While friends, there was always a distinct rivalry between what was known as two of the five longest Lineages— Disaster and Change-Breaker. Bultar had explained it to him once. The five oldest lineages had some sort of rivalry that was both friendly and that Yoda’s lineage took it way too seriously. Change-Breaker, which was through General Koon’s master happened to not take it that seriously.
Obi-Wan Kenobi had been raised by Qui-Gon Jinn to… lean into that rivalry while Bultar had not originally been a part of the Change-Breaker line and had been grandfathered in when her original Master died and Plo Koon took over for him.
In other words, Jedi Politics that he was only halfheartedly knowledgeable about, but enjoyed listening to the once thought to be stoic Jedi he had learned about get all up in arms about the dumbest rivalries.
Still, she rolled her eyes a bit at the mention of Cody’s General’s name— though it was good-natured.
“What about him?” she asked and he snorted again, popping the tab of his drink.
“Did you know that I— and pretty much everyone else in the 212th— is about 95-Percent sure he’s in love with me?”
Bultar’s brow raised again as she resumed combing her hands through Cody’s hair. “Really?”
He hummed in response, taking a sip of his drink before passing it up to her to try. It was fruity and sweet— something they both liked.
“Yeah,” he said after he swallowed. “He gets all starry-eyed and blushes a lot. And flirts. Really badly.”
“Says stuff like ‘you’re one of the best men I’ve ever known’ and junk like that?” Bultar asked after she passed the can back to Cody. He nodded, rolling his eyes a bit.
She let out a soft huff of laughter at that and Cody settled back further against her.
“He really is bad at the Code he seems to have in his head, isn’t he?” He mused and she nodded in agreement.
“I bet he says things about how the Code forbids things, doesn’t he?” She asked and he nodded with a hum. “I never understood why that side of his lineage is so strict about one line of the code that’s left rather open.”
Cody was the one who let out a soft snort of laughter this time.
It was no secret among the Clones that the Jedi were vastly different from them— to the point where their own ‘Code’ of rules was flexible and left up to interpretation for some.
There were those who took every word at face Value. Cody had heard from one of the other Commanders about a Jedi who refused to take more than a handful of Clones and isolated herself in the frozen wastes of the Galaxy to ensure that no attachment existed, even in the form of friendship. But there were also those who felt as if there was more than one way to interpret the Code.
Bultar was an obvious example, but even further, there were a number of High Generals who didn’t adhere to the same strictness that Kenobi did. Koon and Fisto, specifically for various reasons including but not limited to the fact that the two were most definitely in some sort of romantic relationship— Wolffe had complained about it once, because apparently he really didn’t want to hear his General and another General flirt almost every time the ‘Pack met up with the Sea Dragons. He always refrained from commenting, mostly because he found it hilarious.
It wasn’t often when the 212th teamed up with the Avian Company under Bultar, but Banks had sent him three messages about how they better keep it professional because he was firm on not becoming Wolffe but if Cody started to act like Kit Fisto then he was going to start.
The mortifying idea of being compared to and the idea of showing public displays of affection in the same way that the Nautolan Jedi was enough to deter Cody from acting out just for the heck of it— all due respect to General Fisto, of course.
He let out a soft huff as he felt Bultar shift, arms draping around his shoulders before she leaned down to look at him.
“So what are your thoughts on it?” she asked and he blinked, lowering his drink from his lips.
“What do you mean?”
She made a slight hand gesture. “If we weren’t together, that is.”
Cody paused before it clicked and he made a face. “I think I’m more insulted at your implications, Bultar.”
The Jedi let out a short laugh. “That’s exactly what Siri said when she was asked.”
He wasn’t sure who this ‘Siri’ was, though he was more than certain that just based on that sentence they would’ve gotten along. Still, Cody grumbled a bit before tilting his head back and bumping their noses together.
“Besides,” he continued. “It’s Kenobi. You grew up with the guy, you know how he is.”
With a soft yelp, Bultar went down as Cody turned and flopped onto her with all the grace of a drowning lothcat.
“He thinks that salt is spicy,” Cody added after a moment. “He saw Waxer putting one of those seasoning packets from Dex’s takeout bags on his meal and asked him if he needed milk so it wouldn’t burn. Wooley tasted his meal once, it was the driest thing since Tatooine and just as bland too.”
It wasn’t a lie, though a bit exaggerated, but either way, Cody couldn’t help but grin as Bultar laughed again, propping herself up on her elbows as he rested his chin on her stomach. She reached down, poking him in the forehead.
“Don’t be rude,” she scolded lightly. “Comparing his meals to Tatooine? Tatooine is much more promising than his cooking.”
Cody let out a bark of laughter before burying his face into his partner's stomach, wrapping his arms around her as he quieted down. Her hands found their way to his hair again, fingers gently running through the strands and curls that he really should cut back down to length.
Conversations about Kenobi aside, Cody treasured these moments with Bultar. He knew that there was no promise of 'tomorrow', that this could be the last time he ever saw the Jedi alive— and for her, the same. Either one of them could be killed on the battlefield in the next few months— a stray blaster bolt, an explosion, even something as simple as a fall from a high place could do either of them in.
But still, in the event that they survived, that they won this war, and that he and his brothers gained freedom— and he knew that the Jedi would fight tooth and nail afterward to do so, to at least a bulk of them would— Cody imagined that this was what life would be like then. With the sound of the rain on the roof of the Temple soothing any nerves that existed, with some holo he really didn’t care all that much about playing in the background, and settled against Bultar with her hands running through his hair.
With no calls from Obi-Wan Kenobi about things he really should've done himself.
It was a nice thought, so he kept these moments close to his heart.
I’m pushing my CodySwan agenda officially, no more Codywan in this house (as if there’s ever been codywan really)

Make a Wish
Pairings: none. a lil bit of captain rex x reader if you squint.
Summary: the torrent company prepares something for your birthday<3
Word count: 1,4k not proofread
A/n: So!!! i know I've been dead for the past week, but today's my sweetiepie ana @leia-saveourskins birthday!!!! and she asked me to write a little something for her so I came back from hell bc i can't really say no to mi bb ana. congrats bubs!! i hope you have the most amazing day today and always. hope you like this heheh<3 tqm mucho. mwah mwah mwah
Rex had called you to the hangar, something about Anakin needing some help with something, his words rushed as if he didn't have time and you felt confused, it wasn't like there weren't any more mechanics working at the time, and the General had given you half day off, "as a birthday present," he had told you, after a little hug and a congratulations.
You rushed your steps, hair still slightly wet from the shower you took before and the thought of getting more engine oil on you made you roll your eyes.
This better be good.
Once you got to the hangar door, you found it was closed, frowning, you commed Rex.
"The door is closed."
You hear him coughing, a few murmurs are heard and you never felt more confused in your life, what was going on.
"Yeah, sorry." He mumbled, "Ahsoka locked it by, uh, accident." Rex sounded nervous, and for some reason it made your heart beat faster. Did something happen? If it required for the General, Commander and Captain to be in the room, it must be important, but then again, there's no power in this galaxy that could ever torn them apart.
"Its open now."
It's not long before the door opens before you, and as soon as you step into the room, a chant of "surprise!" is heard, keeping you in place as your brain processes the image before you, tears filling your eyes as soon as it settles in your heart.
Everyone is there, your fellow mechanics, Anakin, Ahsoka, the troopers you had become friends with, even the General of the 212th was there, with big smiles on their faces, a big sign with messy letters in aurebesh that read Happy Birthday colored with the 501st blue hung between two ships, it was almost falling off, but the thought warmed your soul. The "ay" looked incredibly smaller as they run out of space compared to the wide H at the beginning, they all had different styles, and you wondered if they agreed to write one letter per person.
"I–" you started, but words didn't come out, you were left speechless, many emotions running through your mind and your heart that you couldn't pick one to express what you felt.
"Thank you," you whisper, blinking quickly in hopes for the tears to disappear, but they don't, much less when Ahsoka comes for you and holds your hand, leading you towards everyone.
"Ah! it's nothing, the boys insisted we should celebrate." She told you, the mischievous smile she wore told you she was to blame.
"The boys? Snips you couldn't shut up about the surprise party for a week." Anakin said, walking towards you before enveloping in a warm hug, one that lasted longer than the one he gave you a few hours prior. "Happy birthday," he murmured softly in your ear, and you smiled widely.
Anakin hasn't been nothing but nice since you joined the Resolute, times spent at the hangar fixing whatever ship he completely destroyed in his perfect landings, and you were completely past knowing him solely as The General and more as Anakin.
"Thanks, boss."
He chuckled, ruffling your hair before Ahsoka pushed him away.
"Hey, we all want our hugs gramps," she said as she gave you the tightest of hugs, laughing quietly when you hear Anakin huff in annoyance. "Hope we have you many many more years with us."
It took you a while, to be congratulated by everyone, Obi Wan being the first right after Ahsoka, Rex lingering a bit more than most, his cheeks a sweet shade of pink as he stumbles over his words.
"I uh," he scratches the nape of his neck, aware of the line of clones behind him waiting to hug you, "I, I know this isn't much but," his eyes look down to his feet before meeting your eyes, golden eyes filled with nothing but affection, his fingers fumble awkwardly with his belt as he tries to take something from one of the many bags. "I got you this."
He gives you a little bouquet of flowers of your favorite color, already placed in a cup with water to keep them from dying.
"Rex you–" for the second time in the past hour, tears fill your eyes, a lump in your throat makes it hard for the words to be pushed past your lips, "you didn't have to."
"I wanted to." He frowns slightly, looking at the little box in your hands, "like i said, it's not much, but–"
"It's perfect, thank you."
You kiss his cheek, feeling like melting from all the love you're receiving, but mostly because how even now, in the middle of war, between so much death and suffering, they still find a moment to celebrate life, to still be kind, to be thoughtful and caring.
The tips of his ears turn red, and you giggle softly before thanking him again, he nods as he moves for the next person to give you his best wishes, a few give you little kisses on your cheeks, and others give you stiff hugs that made you chuckle.
Jesse is the last one to hug you, along with Hardcase and Fives.
"Happy birthday to not only the best mechanic in the GAR, but to our best friend as well." Jesse says before giving you a bone crushing hug, a loud, breathless laugh leaving your lips as he leaves a very wet kiss on your cheek.
Hardcase doesn't wait for Jesse to leave before he's hugging you too.
"Happy birthday!"
And it's not long before you have all the boys crushing you in the biggest bear hug you've ever had, feeling a bit claustrophobic for a moment but that doesn't stop you from enjoying the moment, your heart swelling with love.
When they all pull away to let you breath, Fives places a hand over your shoulders, walking you towards the Generals and the Commander waited for you.
"We got another surprise for you!"
"Oh really?" You ask, looking at Echo when he places himself on your other side, throwing his arm over your shoulders as well and walking in sync with you and Fives.
"Fives really insisted on it."
You hum, confused once more, but as soon as you meet with the others, you find what they were talking about.
There's a big cake being held by two astromechs, the white frosting perfectly placed under the blue letters that held your name right on the middle, sprinkles of at least eight different colors, one of the corners had way too much yellow and there was a tiny smiley face on another.
"There's no birthday if there's no cake." Fives stated, and everyone agreed.
"We made it, so we're not completely sure if it's good," Tup sheepishly admitted, and you almost melted at the thought.
They were too sweet, incredibly so that your heart couldn't take it.
"Thank you guys, I'm sure it's amazing."
"Oh! you cannot cut it without blowing the candle," Obi Wan spoke, patting his clothes trying to find the candle Anakin made sure he didn't forget.
He placed it on the when he found it, giving you a dashing smile and a wink once he did. R2 was quick to lit it up.
The boys made sure to be loud when singing the happy birthday song, Hardcase and Jesse making their voices as low and loud as they could, making Dogma roll his eyes and Fives laugh for most of the song.
Tears left your eyes a few times, overwhelmed with the affection they all had for you, your cheeks hurting with how wide you were smiling.
"What did you wish for?" Fives asked you at some point, to which you shook your head as you took another bite of cake that –to everyone's surprise,– it was actually good.
"Can't tell you."
"Why not?"
"Some say that if you say your wish, it won't happen." He scoffs.
"Sounds like bullshit." You laugh loudly, which makes Fives' face break into a smile.
You don't tell him, though, that you didn't wish for anything. Not really, for everything you wanted was right there, with you, the feeling of home, of warmth. Knowing you belonged somewhere, in a family you found all by yourself, surrounded with joy, and love.
They made sure it was your best birthday ever.

Being in a long term relationship with a clone was not something you had ever seen in your cards as a Jedi Commander for the 501st. Especially when the clone in question was Captain of said battalion. However, you wouldn’t change it for anything in the galaxy, especially since you have Anakin and Ahsoka by your side to help you and Rex fly under the radar of the Council. Anakin was in a relationship after all, so he understood what it was like.
Today, you have taken one of the rare days off you and your boys get to throw together the surprise you have had in mind for Rex for the past few weeks. None of the clones have real birthdays, but you wanted to celebrate him and managed to get him to pick a random date for his birthday. You smiled fondly at the memory as you sat a plate of cookies on the table.
“None of the clones have birthdays, cyare, you know that. We weren’t born, we were created.” The last words leave his lips with a hint of venom to them, and you can’t help your lips from tugging downward into a slight frown.
“I know that, Rex,” you say softly, adjusting from where you lay on his chest so you can look up at him slightly, “Humor me,” you tease, giving him a small smile, “Since you don’t have an actual date, just pick one!”
Rex gives you a sideways look before finally letting out a sigh at the puppy dog eyes you send him. He is never able to say no to you. After thinking for a moment, he finally settles on a date - the date he became a Captain is the one he chose.
“See now was that so hard?” you chastise lightly before leaning up and pressing a quick kiss to his lips before settling back down into bed, his arms still wrapped securely around you.
After that, the conversation had never come up again, and Rex had assumed you forgot about the silly birthday date you made him pick out. However, you were just determined to surprise him. You recruited Anakin and Ahsoka to keep Rex busy while you prepared your private quarters for the surprise, and while Rex was none the wiser as to why he was being sent on a wild bantha chase around the base - he felt a sense of relief wash over him when he was finally released from their plot. He has already taken his helmet off as he approaches your shared quarters, eyes tired yet shoulders relaxed at the thought of spending the rest of the day with you. He was planning to just relax with you, relish in the rare day off you both have received and maybe watch one of those cheesy holofilms you loved so much.
However, when he finally arrives at the room and the door swishes open, his eyes widen in surprise at the sight that greets him. The space is brightly lit with soft music playing in the background and a small handmade sign attached to the wall opposite the door reads: Happy Birthday Rex! In neat handwriting. His eyes fall from the sign to take in the spread of food and deserts on the table near the kitchen, more than either of you could eat in days. He slowly sets his helmet down on the ground by the door before approaching the table. There’s a cake in the center that reads the same as the sign when he walked in, but the letters are iced delicately over the white base layer in 501st blue.
Rex feels his chest constrict, an overwhelming sense of gratitude paired with a slight sense of confusion distract him from your entrance into the room. He ‘s only pulled from his observations when he hears a small gasp from behind him.
“Rex, you’re back!” you say happily, rushing over and wrapping your arms around him as he turns to face you. You couldn’t care less that he was still in his armor, you were just happy he was here. “You got here faster than I was anticipating! I was going to have the candles on the cake lit and everything for when you got back.”
He watches as you pull yourself from his embrace and flit around the room, grabbing a lighter and lighting the candles all while babbling away about the food you cooked and the plans you’ve made and how it took you weeks to find the special jam to put between the layers of cake. You were so consumed in your explanations, that you didn’t even notice when Rex’s eyes fell to the four neatly wrapped parcels on the end of the table. All of them had his name on them followed by the person who they were from - at least that’s what Rex assumed.
He pulls his gloves from his hands before running his fingers gently over the colorful paper, looking up at you in confusion as he interrupts your speech. “What are these?”
Your brow furrows in confusion before realization dawns on you. Rex had never had a birthday gift before. Let alone a party all for himself. You give him a gentle smile and walk over to be at his side as you speak. “They’re presents, for your birthday,” you explain, “Anakin and Ahsoka each got you one when they heard what I was planning,” you chuckled a little, “Anakin won’t admit it, but he spent a lot of time picking out his gift. And then,” you reach out and grab the smaller box, “This is from the boys - your brothers - they all pitched in when they heard about it too.”
Rex could already feel the unfamiliar burn at the back of his eyes, but he tried to reign in his emotions as he pointed to the last one. “What-” he has to clear his throat, “What about that one?”
You grab the box from the table and turn to him, smiling the biggest smile as you hold it out for him to take. “This one’s from me! I couldn’t very well throw you a birthday bash and not get you a present now could I?”
At this revelation, Rex can no longer hold the tears back as he takes the small gift from your hands. He sees your eyes widen at his reaction and a slight panic overtakes your features.
“Oh no,” you mumble, reaching out to place your hands over his own, “Rex what’s wrong?”
He shakes his head, wiping the stray tears away before taking a deep breath, “Nothing’s wrong, cyare,” he assures you, looking around the room at all you did for him before looking back to you with a smile on his face, “I’ve just…” he trails off for a moment before continuing, “I’ve never gotten a present before. Let alone a whole celebration dedicated to me being here.”
Your heart breaks slightly at his words, despite knowing the truth behind them. Clones aren’t seen as much more than machines of war to most people - expendable and replaceable things for the war. But Rex is so much more to you, and you were determined to show him that. You smile at him and set the gift in his hands aside, as you steer him over towards the cake.
“Well,” you begin, “As long as I’m still here I’m going to make every single day a celebration about you. Because you deserve to be celebrated.”
“Well I don’t know about that,” Rex tries to argue but you shake your head and point to the lit candles on the cake.
“Oh hush,” you gently scold, “Now, all you have to do for this birthday tradition is blow out the candles and make a wish.”
“A wish?” he asks, turning to look at you incredulously, “A wish for what?”
You shrug, “Anything you want.”
He turns to face the cake again, the candles casting a slight glow onto his golden skin and you can’t help but smile when he finally leans forward and blows the candles out. Once finished he pulls back and turns towards you, a smile on his face as he reaches out to take your hands in his.
“Did you make a wish?” you ask.
He shakes his head, “No.”
Your mouth falls open and you give out a disbelieving scoff, “Rex!” you whine, “That’s the whole point of blowing out the candles. Why didn’t you wish for anything?”
“Because everything I could wish for is standing right here in front of me.”
And before you can protest, he presses his lips to yours in a gentle kiss, suddenly very thankful for birthdays and very thankful for you.

Hi Again! I was wondering if you wrote for the clones? (I'm thirsting for Wolffe!!) If not, that's ok! And if so, I thought maybe something fluffy and a bit hot with Wolffe? I'm a huge sucker for the trope- Reader tries to hide that she hasn't been feeling well and turns out she's pregnant? With twins! She's scared because even though they're committed, it wasn't planned? And then fluff and some love making?? <3333
Hi lovely, welcome back! I am open to writing for the clones, I just haven’t done so yet! I too thirst for Commander Wolffe so you’re in luck! This trope is def very cute, the end turned out more fluffy than spicy, I hope that's alright.
Commander Wolffe x fem!reader Rating: E (18+) Warnings: explicit sexual content, unprotected p in v sex, unplanned pregnancy, swearing (first time writing for Wolffe, may be slightly ooc)
[PART TWO]
There was never enough time. You really should not have been surprised by the revelation, you were at war, but it still sat heavy on your chest. Always needed elsewhere as soon as you completed a mission. Never time to rest, even in transit. Someone always needed your attention for reports, strategic planning or council meetings as the GAR cruiser hurtled through hyperspace. It never left you enough time for him. Thankfully, the stubborn nature of your clone commander allowed him to make time, even if just a spare moment, for the two of you.
“Oh fuck,” you throw your head back against the door as he reaches that spot deep inside you. Pushing you ever closer to the edge. “Wolffe, please-” you’re whining as he grinds up into you, throbbing inside you. He’s always had the uncanny ability to read your body, he knows better than you when you’re close to bliss and he enjoys drawing it out. To think Commander Wolffe was a fucking tease.
“Please what, cyare?” His smug grin slides across your chest following the trail of marks he’s littered across your skin where no one will see. “What does ner jetii need?”
“Please, ‘m so close,” you tighten your legs around his waist, trying to draw him in closer, anything to reach your release, “please, Wolffe!”
He groans into your neck as you tug at the curls fallen loose at the nape of his neck, “well when you ask so nicely, cyare.”
His sudden thrust up pushes the air from your lungs. Your mouth falls open in a silent scream as he pounds into you, all teasing forgotten. He’s relentless as you tighten around him, the coil in your belly threatening to snap.
“That’s it,” he grunts, “come on my cock ner jetii.”
His words and his gloved thumb brushing over your bundle of nerves has you falling apart around him. White hot pleasure rolls over you, leaving you a limp, moaning mess in Wolffe’s arms.
“That’s it, mesh’la. Squeezing me so kriffing tight,” he groans, hips stuttering, his own release fast approaching. “Fuck.” Wolffe manages a few more thrusts before he buries himself in you, spilling himself inside you. Whispered praises fall from his lips as he comes down from his own high. His lips ghost over yours in a chaste kiss as he withdraws, tucking himself away before he lets you down.
Your legs cry out in relief when they meet solid ground, not longer clinging to Wolffe for support.
“Good, cyare?” his hand sweeps over your brow, so tender for a man with such a fierce reputation, even amongst his brothers.
“Mhmm,” leaning into his touch, he chuckles at your blissed out expression.
“Someone’s bound to come looking for you soon, General. Let’s get you cleaned up.” You don’t protest as he helps you redress, though you do moan about how unfair it was he just had to remove his codpiece and you had to strip completely out of your robes for these little storage closet rendezvous’.
“I don’t think jedi robes were designed to allow for easy access, cyare.”
You pout, “you’re probably right.” There was that whole bit about no attachments you were blatantly ignoring after all.
Before the commander can come back with another sharp retort your commlink blinks to life. “Yes?”
“General, General Plo is looking for you on the bridge.”
You sigh, “thank you, Sinker. I’ll be right there.”
Never enough time.
.
The next couple of months continue much the same. You and Wolffe sneaking away between missions when you can, trying to find solace in each other despite all the horrors you both see on the battlefield. In a war that seems to stretch on forever he is your rock. As he watches his brothers fall, one after the other, you are his comfort. It breaks your heart to be apart from him but there is little you can do to control it. When the council requests you to join Obi-wan and Anakin for a series of missions you cannot object. Instead, you drag your tired self out to the far reaches of the outer rim to help them as best you can.
“You look exhausted, my dear.” Such tact this one possessed.
You roll your eyes, “you don’t look much better, Kenobi.” Though you doubt he has been waking in the middle of the night to empty the contents of his stomach like you have for the past week.
“This war does seem to be pushing us all to our limits.”
“I’ll race you!” Ahsoka sprints by, apparently headed for some target or another with her master hot on her heels.
“Snips!”
Cody chuckles under his bucket, shaking his head as the two disappear into the distance.
Obi-Wan scrubs a hand over his face, “it’s pushed most of us to our limits.”
“What I wouldn’t give to have the energy of a padawan again,” you groan.
“I agree wholeheartedly,” Obi-wan nods, “we should all try to get some rest while we can. We need to break camp near dawn.”
You agree and bid your fellow jedi an early goodnight. With the headache you could feel coming on, sleep sounded like a good idea. As you go to stand the world spins around you, any sense of balance you had gone. You reach for the crate you had been sitting on to try and stay upright but you miss by a mile. Knees giving out you collapse to the floor, the world around you still spinning. You can barely hear Cody shouting over the ringing in your ears.
“Call for a medic! The General’s collapsed!”
.
By the time you regain consciousness you’re no longer planet side. Obi-wan had been quick to have you medevacked to the closest med-station for testing. The unholy white lights of the station burn your eyes when you finally come to. Your sudden groaning draws Kix back to your bedside.
“General. Good to see you’re back with us.”
“Kix?” You try to focus on the 501st medic instead of the bright lights, “what happened?”
“You collapsed back at the forward camp. We weren’t able to determine what was wrong with the limited medical supplies we had on hand, so General Kenobi called an air lift for you.”
Another groan bubbles up, Obi-wan had been forced to waster precious resources on you. “Were you able to find out what’s wrong?”
The clone’s face falls, “yes.”
You’ve never heard the medic sound so meek before. “Kix?”
“I’m not sure what’s the best way to explain this, General… but you’re pregnant.”
Oh.
Oh.
“H-how far along?”
“Looks like just over two months,” Kix shifts from foot to foot, pointedly not looking you in the eye. You can’t blame him for being uncomfortable, this isn’t quite the medicine he’d been expecting to practice. He was a combat medic not an obgyn. “We were able to get an ultrasound, would you like to see?”
Nodding, you sit up, your head now spinning for completely different reasons. Kix brings you a datapad displaying the grainy black and white image.
“Kix… am I seeing this right?”
“Yes, general.”
“There’s two…”
“Yes general. You’re having twins.”
Oh fuck.
.
Kix is a godsend, having worked with Anakin and Rex long enough to know reporting everything may not always be a good idea. The official report on your sudden collapse reads that you suffered from a foreign infection your body had not been prepared to fight, coupled with the battle fatigue, your body had shut down in order to force you to rest. Obi-wan and the council believe it, ordering you back to Coruscant to recover and rest. You knew you would have to tell them; it would not be long until you were showing, but you would much rather deal with the council in person than from your medbay bed.
Before your escort arrives, Kix slips you a disk with a copy of the ultrasound pictures, “in case there’s someone you want to show them to.”
“Thank you, Kix,” he blushes when you give him a quick peck on the cheek, “you’ve done more for me than you’ll ever know.”
You do your best to rest on your trip back to Coruscant but its incredibly difficult when your mind is going a parsec a minute. Besides the council there’s one other person you have to break the news to. While you two had talked about what life would be like for the two of you after the war, this was not something you had discussed. You were not sure if Wolffe wanted kids ever, let alone now. Having twins while the whole galaxy was at war was not ideal. Not when the two of you were expected to put your lives on the line for the Republic.
Panic washes over you when you arrive at the capital to find the wolfpack waiting for you on the tarmac. They’d just arrived back for some long overdue shore leave and Plo had informed them of your sudden illness. Normally you would be touched by how much they cared for you, but now all you can think about is how you are not ready to face Wolffe. Not yet.
You can feel his gaze heavy on your back as you field Sinker and Boost’s barrage of questions.
“I’ll be alright, I just need to take my medicine and get some rest. It shouldn’t be long before I’m right as rain again.” You hate lying to them, but you did not want them worrying unnecessarily either.
It seems to appease them; the pack wishes you well and invites you out to 79’s with them as soon as you’re recovered. Wolffe hangs back, watching his brothers go.
“I’ll walk you back, general.”
“No.” It comes out much harsher than you’d like. The surprise that washes over his face feels like a stab to your gut. “There’s no need, Commander. I’ll be alright.”
His voice drops, brow furrowed together, “cyare?”
“Not now, Wolffe,” you frown, “I just need to go lay down. We’ll talk later.”
But you don’t. You cannot find it in yourself to answer any of his calls or messages over the next few days. Instead, you wrap yourself up in as many blankets as possible and hole up in your quarters while you try to figure out what to do. You watch Coruscant go by from your window. It’s only when Sinker and Boost call that you’re freed from running around in circle inside your head.
“Boost? Sinker? What’s going on?”
“Oh thank goodness you’re alive, General!”
“Boost what are you going on about?”
“The Commanders been going crazy! He hasn’t heard from you in over a week and we don’t think he knows how to handle it!”
Although you and Wolffe did your best to keep your relationship hidden, in such tight quarters it was hard to keep it from Wolffe’s brothers. You’d never outright admitted it to them, but you figured they understood what was going on. You were glad for it now.
“I’ve seen him pace before, but never like this,” Sinker adds.
Oh Maker. “Where is he?”
“The barracks, General.”
“I… I’ll speak with him, alright? Hopefully that will calm him down.”
“Thank you, General! We were running out of ways to distract him!” That was the kind way of saying ways to annoy him to keep Wolffe’s mind off you.
“Thank you, Boost, Sinker.”
“Good luck, General!”
You were going to need it. This was not a conversation to have over the com so you make your way down to the barracks, doing your best to avoid attention when you can. It was not like you weren’t allowed there, but the last thing you needed was more questions.
Boost and Sinker were not lying about the pacing. Punching in the access code to his quarters reveals a tightly wound Wolffe, pacing back and forth across the length if the tight space. His armor has been haphazardly discarded around the room. You’re surprised he hasn’t worn a path into the floor yet.
“General?” Surprise and then relief fall over his face when he catches you standing in the doorway.
“Wolffe, I-”
“What are you doing here? You’re supposed to be resting.”
You’re thrown off by the sudden cold tone in his voice. “I-I came to explain, Wolffe… to apologize.”
“Apologize?”
“I’ve been avoiding you Wolffe,” your voice cracks despite your best efforts to remain calm, “and I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have, I just needed to find a way to tell you and I couldn’t.”
His frown deepens, “tell me what?”
“That I’m pregnant.”
“What?” He looks at you live you’ve grown another head.
“I’m pregnant, Wolffe.”
It takes him a moment to wrap his mind around your words, but you can see the instant he does, his mouth dropping into an ‘o’ as his jaw falls slack.
“You’re pregnant? With my… with my baby?”
“Babies,” you correct.
His brain seems to sputter out again, “babies?”
You nod, “twins.”
Before you can blink, he’s got you wrapped up in his arms, spinning you around the room. “Twins. You’re having twins.”
It takes everything you have not to start bawling. Kriffing hormones. You’ve never seen Wolffe this happy. This was beyond any reaction you could have imagined. The awe on his face when he sets you down makes your heart melt.
“This is why you were sent back? Your sudden illness?”
“Well yes… but Kix’s report was that I had an infection. I wanted to talk to your first before anyone else. I just didn’t know how.”
His warm hand oh-so-gently cups the side of your face. You lean into the touch. After even just a few weeks apart you’re starving for him.
“Why were you worried, cyare?”
“We’d never talked about kids. And we’re in the middle of a war. Not to mention we’re not even supposed to be together on the first place… I didn’t know how you’d react…”
His face softens, his amber eye drifting down to your nonexistent bump. “I’ll admit, I’m surprised. It may not be how either of us hoped, but it is a pleasant surprise.”
“Really?”
“Really, cyare.” You cannot help but smile as he pulls you in for a kiss. His lips slanting against your own as he holds you close. “I know there may be somethings we need to work out, but we’ll take it one step at a time,” he murmurs against your lips, hands tracing patterns across your back. “We’ll figure it out together.”

what if anakin was actually the bad batch's general?
- can you imagine the chaos they would cause? the batch would follow his orders and respect him no matter what. but you know anakin, how he doesn't follow orders directly. so they would disobey orders together and they would have so much fun.
- anakin would get along with all of them just like he already did with 501st. but he would have a special connect all of them since they are only 4 people.
- he would talk with tech about everything and anything since they are both smart, tech would like to learn ways of the force from him and anakin would love to answer him.
- he would always find a way to explode things because he knows that wrecker loves it.
- remember tcw s7e2? crosshair let anakin touch his rifle and after when anakin gave it back to him, anakin just shook his head to crosshair. they never talked as much as we see. and this gives me the vibe that they would talk through actions. you know what i mean?
- also anakin would love to compete with him about who's more good at rifle.
- and with hunter, anakin would be careful with him because of his senses. he wouldn't want his sergeant to get hurt. he would always remind him if he needs a break, he can take a break.
- the batch would also get along with ahsoka of course, who wouldn't?
- no wonder they would see her as a little sister.
- and no wonder that wrecker would call her 'the tiny commander' or 'the tiny jedi'
- btw of course tech would know his not so secret relationship with padmé. he would say, "of course, i knew it sir. it was so obvious. i don't understand why no one else got suspicious so far." and anakin would be ✨freak out✨ and go straight to padmé and say, "padmé! we are so obvious!" (as if he cares about it.)
- crosshair would know about it too because he is good at observing. when anakin makes up excuses to meet up with padmé, he would know anakin is lying but he wouldn't say anything, he would stay there and smirk while his general sneak around.

Hi! I just wanted to tell you how much I love your little pack bonding story (watch the time go). Seeing a fic that's not sexual with A/B/O dynamics is something I absolutely love but rarely see. So thank you for making my day just a little better
Thank you!!! I’m glad you like it Here, take some more! :D
Ahsoka rushed back to the campsite as quickly as she could. The battles on this side of the planet were completely done. They’d won, even if their victory had come at quite the high price. She’d wanted to stay to help with the bodies, the injured, and the thousand other things that had to be done in the aftermath of a battle, but Rex had sent her back to the main base.
The 501st wasn’t even supposed to have gone on this mission. They‘d been on the way back to Coruscant for restocking, not that the Separatists had cared. They had just seen another easy target and decided to attack a planet that was utterly worthless from a strategic point of view and then they had to interfere. Somehow, those battles always turned out to be the worst. They’d been at a major disadvantage already and then Anakin—
Ahsoka accelerated the speeder.
She knew that Anakin’s heats had been irregular even before she had become his Padawan. They’d hope they would settle once she had presented, but that hadn’t happened either. And then, of course, he had to go into heat in the middle of the campaign. Appo had told her he’d had to leave the fighting after his fever got too much to bear and Ahsoka just wanted to check in on him, make sure that he was alright and not hurt.
The 501st’ main base was in an old city that had been hit fairly early by the Separatists and was full of refugees happy to finally get help. Of course, some where also angry that they’d arrived so late, but Ahsoka was used to that by now. Not everyone could see the good the Republic did, they only saw what they hadn’t done.
As soon as Ahsoka arrived at the camp, she parked the speeder and began running through the camp of half-destroyed houses and tents. The locals eyed her warily, but the clones just raised a brow and smiled at their not-so-little-anymore Beta commander rushing off to find her Master.
Fairly in the middle of the camp where Ahsoka knew they kept most of the injured and younger children, Ahsoka finally found the place where they’d hidden away her Master.
“He’s inside,” one of the locals said with a smile, pointing at the door.
“Thank you,” Ahsoka remembered to reply before rushing inside.
The scent of heat was easily detectable. It was sweet, reminded her of the honey treats Anakin was so fond of making, the kind that burned your tongue from the spice incased in them if you weren’t too careful.
Anakin sat in the middle of the room on a couple mattresses, wrapped up in one of Obi-Wan’s old coats. A couple of her own were thrown in there and, of course, a good ten children were sleeping around him. Two toddlers were draped over his lap and he cradled a newborn that couldn’t be older than a week.
“Hey, Snips,” Anakin said quietly. He tried to raise his hand to greet her but stopped when he saw one of the sleeping children move. “I’m alright, Ahsoka, no need to be distressed.”
He sounded so casual, like nothing was wrong, and Ahsoka wanted to shout at him and hug him at the same time. “Yeah, but I heard you were in heat and I didn’t know whether you needed my help or not and I felt awful. I hate this.”
Logically, Ahsoka knew that her fledgling beta instincts were driving her insane. She was pretty sure she’d prefer being an omega or alpha to a beta. At least they didn’t have to deal with this constant aggravating nagging need to ensure that everything and everyone was exactly where it was supposed to be. She’d nearly made one of the shinies cry last week because she’d been unsettled by the way he stored his blasters even though there’d been nothing wrong with it.
Growing up sucked.
“I’m sorry,” Anakin apologized and with a sweet suggestion in the Force, got one of the children to keep sleeping as he made some space for her. “C’mon, there’s enough space for you.”
Sighing with relief, Ahsoka kicked off her boots and shrugged off her armor and made herself comfortable next to him. It didn’t take long for one of the kids to lay themselves across her too.
“Feels like being back in the crèche,” she said.
Anakin laughed lightly. “Yeah, it really does. Not quite sure what I would have done if the people of this planet didn’t deal with heats the same way we do in the temple. When the troops carried me back here, they didn’t even hesitate to set this up and get their children here. To be honest, I think they were pretty thankful. The kids took well to it and calmed down somewhat. And my heat’s almost worn off too. A couple more hours and I could have gone back to fighting, but I heard you already took care of that?”
Ahsoka straightened under his praise. “Yeah, the troops are busy with the clean-up, but we’ve secured our position.”
“Well done,” Anakin said and pulled her close with one arm so she could rest her head on his shoulder, inhale his scent. Even if she was no longer a child, she was still his kid, and it was just as calming to get this confirmation that he was here as it had always been.
She suddenly felt so heavy, all the exhaustion of the past days catching up to her.
“Go sleep,” Anakin muttered. “You’ve earned it.”
He said a few more words, but Ahsoka already didn’t hear them anymore, having fallen asleep.

I love this codywan fic so here's a bit more!
my M!preg Cody because of Force Shit WIP is just funny. X3 and cute. I love Baby Jinn <3
Cody looked over the latest reports from the restoration missions from the 212th. Boil had stepped up into his new position as acting field commander while he was on maternity leave. He was proud of his brother; and even prouder that Waxer had also stepped up to his own position within the 212th.
“Anakin just sent in a report from the 501st. The Seperatist alliance is opening up to negotiations,” Obi-Wan said with a smile from his own desk in their joint office in their Jedi Temple apartments. “The war is well on it’s way to being officially over, my love.”
“We can’t be too careful. Sidious nearly won, and we don’t know what other plans he had in place in the event of his untimely death.” Cody cautioned, but smiled back at his husband.
“Observant as always,” Obi-wan sighed, his eyes soft as he leaned his chin in his palm.
Cody snorted and hid his face back into his datapad, a blush creeping up his cheeks.
It was another few moments before Cody frowned and glanced up at the room. “It’s quiet,” he said, leaning back in his chair.
“Yes, for once Jinn seems to be taking a good nap,” Obi-wan said with a soft laugh before it faded with a furrowed brow. “That...isn’t right.” he admitted.
Cody quickly checked the baby monitor, turning the volume up higher and checking the batteries; but it was fully functional. He tried to keep his anxiety down, even as he flicked open the video feed from Jinn’s room.
“Obi-wan, he isn’t in the crib!” Cody hissed standing and hurrying to the door; panic flooding his mind and chest.
“Cody! Cody it’s okay, I don’t sense anything in the Force.” Obi-wan gently gripped Cody’s arm, sending a warm pulse through their connection to calm him.
Cody frowned but took a deep breath, accepting his husband’s gentle Force presence. Once his anxiety was under; somewhat; control, he walked briskly out of their office.
They both checked the nursery, finding the door open and the room empty. Obi-wan once again reassured Cody that nothing was wrong, per say, but that there was a strange sensation in the Force. Cody was never going to understand the Force, no matter how much he tried; but he trusted Obi-wan with his life and their son’s.
Cody turned back to the living area, spotting Korkie sound asleep on the couch with several datapads and flimsy papers on the coffee table and on his lap. He smiled and walked over.
“Korkie...hey, you fell asleep.” Obi-wan walked over to gently shake his shoulder.
“Huh?! Oh!” Korkie bolted awake and rubbed his face. “Sorry.”
“Don’t be. You need to take a break, kid,” Cody smiled at his adopted son. “You still have another week before finals, you’re still fourteen. Enjoy life a little.”
“Aren’t you sixteen technically?” Korkie asked with a smirk.
Cody rolled his eyes. “He is definitely your son, Obi. We are on a mission though. Did you take Jinn from his bedroom?”
Korkie furrowed his brows. “No. I’ve been study-er...sleeping for about an hour now? Ugh.” The young mandalorian hung his head and rubbed his face.
Obi-wan looked up as there was a noise from the kitchen, his brows furrowed. “No…”
Cody looked at his husband before hurrying with him into the kitchen, Korkie on their heels.
The sight before them was beyond interesting but not exactly shocking. Their son was seated happily on the kitchen floor, his pudgy hands reaching up to the open upper cupboard door where a tub of apple bite puffs was floating wobbly in the air.
Obi-wan bit his lip as Cody stared at him, unimpressed and exasperated. “Well,” the jedi said with a laugh. “I guess that answers the question on whether or not he would be force sensitive!”
“Huh? That’s what it’s called? I used to do stuff like that when I was a baby. Not like THIS but...making toys fly a little bit.” Korkie said with a grin.
Cody covered his face and walked to pick up Jinn, who was more than happy to lean forward and catch the container of apple puffs with a delighted squeal. “Well then I guess it will be up to you to baby jedi-proof the apartment then.” Cody said flatly at Obi-wan and Korkie.

guess who’s (finally) back with more clone wars thoughts! this one’s not a lot of content for how much time it covered, but in my defence i spent most of the time frozen in shock (if you wanna catch up here’s the first and second):
- padmé is a girlboss
- i love commander wolffe, he just has such tired oldest sibling energy: “dad left me in charge let’s just all make it there in one piece as quickly as possible please”
- i’m not emotionally prepared for the umbara arc
- oh god everything about krell is so much worse than i had expected - he just gets there and immediately starts insulting the shit out of everyone - what an ass
- on a more positive note i love hardcase he’s so enthusiastic about everything
- every interaction between fives and rex is just *chefs kiss* magnifique
- it’s been three months and i’m still not ready for the umbara arc
- all of them talking shit abt krell together warms my heart
- dogma kinda reminds me of 3po
- jesse might me my new favourite— the amount of sass in this man is astronomical
- i don’t know if i’ve said anything about this before but rex has eldest sibling energy
- like in a “rex is definitely the eldest sibling of the 501st, but the youngest sibling of the commanders” kinda way
- hardcase and fives are like kids on christmas in their stolen umbaran ships— this warms my heart because all i want is to see them happy
- fives, jesse, and hardcase’s little jailbreak with the fighters is absolutely spectacular
- jesse: i’m doing this out of spite hardcase: i’m doing this for fun
- FUCK. HARDCASE. NO.
- WAXER TOO?!?!! NONONO
- i regret ever watching star wars i did not sign up for this sort of pain
- we’re really just gonna go straight from umbara to zygerria? no break? what the hell dave?
- rex deserves a vacation this man does so much he needs a break >:(
- the little gunner sidecars!!!!!!
- ANAKINS REACTION TO THE ZYGERRIAN!!!! HOO BABEY I LOVE IT WE NEVER SEE HIM REALLY MENTION MUCH ABT HIS PRE-JEDI CHILDHOOD AND THAT’S A CRIME
- anakin trying to woo the queen is still less cringe than his flirting with padme in aotc and that’s incredibly upsetting
- BADASS ASHOKA I LOVE HER SHE IS SO BRAVE
- AYE AYE PLO KOON TO THE RESCUE
- FUCK IT UP REX HOLY MOTHERFUCKING SHIT
- wait what the fuck why does every big bad event happen back to back why can’t these poor saps catch a break i’m going to bed to have words with dave on this
- little boba in prison was a gift i didn’t know i needed— so much attitude in such a little package
- palpatine is such a bag of dicks the council should have just let him get kidnapped, maybe he would have even died
- i think it’d actually be fucking hilarious if palpatine got killed during the failed kidnapping, i don’t know or really care how, but i think it should have happened
- but anakin callin obi-wan his BEST FRIEND??!??? i’m gonna cry
- i swear to god if the obi-wan series doesn’t have more of this badass obi-wan from the hardeen mission then i don’t want it
- BOUNTY HUNTER HUNGER GAMES OH YEA BABEY
- dooku is such a dramatic bastard, he and obi-wan must have gotten along great
- why does mother talzin low-key sound like dracula from hotel transylvania (her voice has been haunting me since her first appearance but i just recently figured out that this is probably why)
- by some miracle, i’ve done an amazing job of avoiding clone wars spoilers because most of this shit took me completely by surprise, but not in a good way
