its not even himiko telling ochako express her worries and herself to izuku, its just accept the chance HE IS GIVING YOU to talk more. What was the point of the togachako fight then?

1- It wasn't about making her have a separated arc with a villain and a different outcome, as she dies sacrificing herself similarly to Tomura.

2- It wasn't about making Ochako finally accept herself and her needs, as after the war she had to have Deku come after her to convince her to express herself, and 8 years laters she still kept things inside.

3- Her confession to Himiko is meaningless, bc we dont see her try to help any other actual villains nor actively remember her -she has the weird dreams, but they only happen to push her (literally) towards Deku; they arent about Himiko and Ochako, they are about "I love you so much, you should be happy with him".

4- It wasn't about making Ochako and Midoriya have a traumatic experience in common to bond over (god I hate this one, but still), besides 429 which ends with a platonic note, theres no mention about it affecting them both (or affecting Midoriya in general), and even tho Ochako is feeling weird in 431, 431!Midoriya doesnt even notice that and only focus in what interests him: talking more to her bc he heard about classmates dating a "inevitability".

Was it about Ochako needing Himiko's permission to be with him? Ochako cant have any form of agency in the actual story and in her actual arc, to the point that she does absolutely none of the things her character was supposed to resolve? She needs Himiko to give her permission to accept an offer Deku gives her, even tho the fight was about expressing her true feeling and not apologizing for being herself. What's the point? I dont understand at all... She cant even do that for herself? She needs a dude that JUST THAT NIGHT remembered she was his friend and helped him a lot and a DEAD GIRL in order to resolve the "romance arc"? Really?

Why the hell does she as a character and they as a pair need so much for such simple thing? They were friends, with the literal same values,

They could have used the little differences they have in order to give them some form of flavor -idk like ochako is fully against attacking and deku isnt opposed to it at all, they could have used this to make them seem more complex and establish their dynamic actually have something deeper to say about who they are separated and together. It would at least make it make sense that theres some tension and doubts about her feelings -like "oh, I really dont like the way he is treating villains but im falling for him... idk what to do about this I dont want to think about this conflict". Instead we got them never discussing anything beyond "you should ask for help!" and "hey I have the exact same perspective and values as you!" but with the drama of star-crossed lovers -they just arent, they are a pretty simple and plain pair, you cant give this kind of ship that level of intensity that 8 years later they just HAVE to get together. They have moments together, but they dont give off romance vibes as its mostly kept vague or completely unrelated to love, and the justification is "oh deku just realized now that she loves her like that!" Tf? That's not a good conclusion, he doesnt know her at this point -how can he STILL love her, when he didnt even try to reach out to her before? How can he feel that way, when he never, ever had thoughts about it beyond blushing the first few times he interacted with a girl?

Even tho I hate this perspective, it would make more sense if they were together but deku admitted he didnt write a lot about it as he was telling a hero story. Boom thats it, harmless canonization, no need to make me feel like I dont understand absolutely anything about anyone ever.

And wtf does Shigaraki have to do with this mess??? Leave him out of this, omfg he wasn't talking about midoriya starting to talk to his high school friends again nor pursue love, am I supposed to believe that was his message??? Wtf????? Am I crazy for thinking none of this makes sense??????

I love how he was perfectly able to just barely see ochako in 8 years, and in just one dinner he "realizes" he "loves" her. Okay unrelated Rembrandt monologue incoming but the IQ part is important to me because I think Ajax being so impulsive can make it tempting to make Rembrandt kind of intellectual to balance her out but one of the like three and a half things we know canonically about Rembrandt is she's not very smart. And thats extremely important to me. Usually quiet/physically weak characters are really smart to like balance it out and make them still seem "useful" but i think thats a fucked up way to think about people. In the DND metaphor of it all Rembrandt is more of a high wisdom/low intelligence person like she's got proficiency in insight you know. But math? Planning and strategy? No. Shes a vibes woman. She and Ajax are vibes4vibes.

Actually deep down to me the true Remjax dynamic is that Rembrandt like gave it a decent effort in school but was still mostly getting Bs and Cs and kind of like quietly struggling in that way where youre not bad enough for anyone to really intervene (Rembrandt dyslexia real) so she mostly just drew in class and got mid grades and then graduated and that was that. But Ajax was like classic "youre wasting your potential" nd gifted kid in school her teachers were always losing their minds because when she bothered to sit down and actually do her homework she was clearly very intelligent and had a really strong grasp of the material but she was way too impatient to really put any effort into school. Classic autistic got an A+ on everything she turned in but only turned in enough assignments to technically not fail. She doesn't care tho school was boring and she hated it and she dropped out as soon as she could because fuck that noise. Unmedicated ADHD moment.

And everyone always assumes that since Ajax is loud and impulsive and opinionated that she and Rembrandt have like a brain/brawn thing going on and it pisses Rembrandt the fuck off that everyone always underestimates Ajax. Ajax doesn't really give a fuck because if they think she's stupid at least they won't expect anything from her so she doesn't care to correct them but it does really bother Rembrandt that everyone assumes shes smarter than Ajax.

one of my biggest hobbies is ttrpg and usually DnD - I'm a DM so I run 99.9% of games I play (i've probably played less than 10 sessions as a player). As a DM I know dnd quite well and also as a DM i'm desperate to play as a player

so a friend offered to run a game (after... abandoning the first game they tried to run for me and others after a session). A oneshot heist inspired by arcane and dishonoured setting vibes. And for oneshots, theyre usually less energy and usually predesigned/prewritten before players get involved. And I know this person is... a bit unreliable and difficult to communicate with so I consider this a 'design a basic character whos fun to play but you dont care if they never get used' type of thing (for context they pitched this in november last year to 'play soon' and im playing it next weekend, feb. honestly impressed its happening at all)

But all the info they give is. 'Arcane vibes heist.' they keep asking for a full backstory. There is no setting, they want to build the settings around our backstories. But how can I make a backstory if I know literally nothing about the game setting. I manage to make the most... adaptable could fit in literally any setting. i give that to them. i still dont know anything about the setting. i still dont know anything about the game or what the heist job is for or anything. they never tell me anything when i ask

out of nowhere they ask what type of heist archetype character me and my partner are making. ive never actually seen a heist movie; and also they did not ask us to align with archetypes. i just made a fucked up wizard. i made a dnd character, because we're playing dnd.

and the really funny thing is that i own a different ttrpg that i love with a prebuilt setting that would suit the arcane theme, that is built literally for doing heists and crime jobs, thats builds are based around archetypes and is meant for oneshots. its literally everything they want and its one of my favourite games but i wont be mentioning it because again, i already knew this was going to be a clusterfuck and i was emotionally checked out the second they pitched it

mmj would generally wear makeup more often than the other groups, what with the idol job and all. they probably have a stream section dedicated to beauty products, or at least get some collabs with them (cough cough stain busters)

minori: yeahhh she would. she’s giving me tinted lip balm vibes. she would look sooo nice in red btw.

haruka: a regular wearer mainly for skincare purposes. she’d worry more about the nutrients and moisturising stuff than the colour of it, but she probably owns some lightly tinted ones that she found filled her criteria.

airi: literally has a card of her putting lipgloss on. of course she does. mostly shades of pink lip gloss, but i think she’d own some glittery ones.

shizuku: has probably worn a lot of shades for her model job, most likely wears some regularly because skincare is important for an idol. because she’s shizuku she looks good even in clear lip balm, but i think she’d frequent a lightly tinted balm. a peachy colour maybe.

I'm glad you got to enjoy some nice food, time with friends, and dressing up! Also, it sounds like you're having a ton of fun creating recently! I am as well, but it's slow going as I'm working on a multi-chap that's very demanding about where and what is supposed to happen (I did this to myself but the results are fantastic!)

"Four Keys" sounds like it has great potential as a title! I like it! I also love the Russian accent. the character is giving slight Captain America vibes, but only for backstory, and I love the concept so much!

As for a irrational fear..... ma am I bad at those I rationalize anything so... maybe large empty spaces? Usually those are indicative of a boss fight in his mind, so just having one that isn't hiding some threat throws him way off. He's also insanely wary of any room with a tiled floor. Because >:)

I also love him and Wind! The fact that they're both on the younger side here but also both accustomed to being the person others look to gives great opportunities for them to bond and interact. Legend has a lot of experience to share but he's also not up on a pedestal like Time or Warriors is, so there's more opportunity for direct communication and less a need to impress. (I actually just finished writing something with them, as it happens!)

I'm honestly not the best baker in the world, or cook in general (I'm still building up my recipe book after leaving my parent's house) but I can share my mum's bread recipe! It's very good, for every day, or to make into rolls for the holidays and with nice meals!

Recipe makes 4 large loaves btw

Dissolve 2 packages of dried yeast into 4 cups of warm water.

In a separate bowl, mix 1/2 cup soft butter with 1/2 cup of honey (you can also add 1/4 cup of molasses for super dense rolls/loaves).

Once the honey-butter is combined, add the yeast water to the bowl

Scoop in 6 cups of whole wheat flour + 4 cups white flour.

Mix, knead, and set into greased bread-pans, or roll into balls on a cookie sheet.

Bake loaves for 35-40 min at 375 F, or rolls for 10-15 min at the same.

After you remove it from the oven, brush generously with butter before they cool, for extra flavor and to preserve moistness.

Hope this one makes you happy! It's great to use in sandwiches, serve with soup, or eat with jam, or alone!

You know, you ever wonder where exactly the Smurfs actually come from? Papa Smurf just gets 100 kids outta nowhere??? Like, I know in universe a stork brings em but that implies that there are other smurf villages out there… AND THERE IS!! I mean, we see an all girl village in the 3rd movie! So like…. Did papa steal baby Smurfs from their own villages???? Maybe???

Or what about how Papa smurf named the rest of the Smurfs?? Baby smurf is still baby Smurf (implying that he doesn’t have a personality yet other than baby) and I get why he would name Brainy and Hefty that way (as it is their best attributes) but NOBODY SMURF? SCAREDY SMURF? LAZY SMURF?? Who the HECK names their kid that way??? That’s literally saying that your name is all that you are and all that you’ll ever be! I know Papa ain’t their real dad, but he is their guardian. Papa smurf really picking favorites out there…

Or what about how the Smurfs operate like a cult??? They all eat together, they don’t have proper names (I get that it could be their culture to name Smurfs after personalities… but Smurfwillow doesn’t DO that with the girl Smurfs, they are named after nature instead…), papa smurf is the ONLY one to wear red, the rest have to wear white (with few accessories and whatnot), not to mention that there is only ONE smurf to do each profession. Chef, Baker, Farmer…. They are feeding a hundred Smurfs every day BY THEMSELVES!! I get that they like doing their job and all but it’s incredibly inefficient to have one person do a big job!

Also, the Smurfs NEVER say anything bad about papa! Especially Brainy…. They follow Papas rules no matter what! He’s lived for 500+ years he definitely knows what he’s doing! They never question him and whoever does get some serious consequences. Idk about you but I feel some HEAVY cult leader vibes from papa.

Speaking of the poor Smurfs, THEY GOT SO MYCH TRAUMA WTH??? I’m watching the new Smurfs show with me lil’ sis and I might be overthinking it but here’s what I got:

Vanity: Poor lad has extreme body issues holy shit!! He has a constant need to feel perfect and view himself as perfect or else he ain’t! That why he constantly views himself in the mirror. There’s one episode in the new show where he turns into a lizard, poor lad was like 2 seconds away from a mental breakdown…. Geez those other Smurfs were mean to him….

Brainy: this guy has like the MOST trauma. I can’t even begin to describe how effed up he is. He constantly gets berated/ abuse by the other Smurfs (especially Hefty)! Even by Papa Smurf himself!! And he views Papa as a fucking SAINT! He’s so delusional and THATS LIKE NOT EVEN HALF OF EVERYTHING???

Lazy: IM PRETTY SURE HE HAS NARCOLEPSY??? He sleeps so much so often and he doesn’t get checked out?? Instead, the other Smurfs either laugh at him and don’t really do anything??

Grouchy: In the live action Christmas special (2011 I think) Papa LITERALLY gaslights Grouchy into becoming thankful that he has a hat!! Papa puts him through night terrors all because Grouchy didn’t want a stupid HAT for Christmas.

Personally, the only dislike i had towards his recent movies was how he promoted them. I know those movies are not for everyone, but the movies have a lot of factors that I don't think people are considering. Sure, you can argue his acting could be better, but that doesn't really change if the story is good or not.

The bother for me was kinda how he didn't have a lot of respect, i guess (idk if that's the right word) while doing press for the movies. Like I know in the past, he's shown up for the press and goofed, but he would also talk about his processes while filming the movie and how much effort he put into it. And obviously, with the different roles he had in the movies, he would need different approaches to filming, so I wasn't expecting Marvel grade responses for his ghosted movie, but I still expected something you know?

I don't exactly remember what he said, but I remember for ghosted. Before the movie came out, he had an interview, and he called the movie like something to watch while drunk?? Or put on in the background?? And I was literally confused 😭. Like why, I feel like that's kinda shooting yourself in the foot. Like, idk if everyone who worked in the movie made a plan to promote the movie like that ... but if i worked on a movie and someone described it like that, I'd but like what the hell🧍‍♀️, or idk if that's just me 😭. I don't remember if he said anything else similar to that, but after I started getting the vibe that he liked, knew his movies were "bad"? Maybe it's cuz he does want to chillax especially after a big project like marvel, but I don't think his mentality for these movies were "oh this movie dosent sound so good ... let me hop on that😈" 😭 i think he just saw it as a fun project to be in, which is completely valid, but when he has to talk about his work and try to sell it, it feels like it's not a job anymore 😭. I don't want to imply that like actors can't have fun when promoting a movie, but I remember for ghosted, TGM, lightyear and now red one where it's basically just talking about captain america (even though he has said he's done with that), playing weird games with the interviewers or just talking about vague topics 😭. For red one obviously he'd talk about Christmas but when every other question he is asked is just asking about how he celebrates THATS WEIRD. Like he's a 40 year old white man what did you expect him to do on Christmas, ask him something about the movie, or just interesting in general 😭.

I understand half the fault is at those interviewers who just ask the same questions over and over or those who just play obscure random games but I feel like chris evans should handle it differently. I will not lie i don't understand how actors and interviewers even decide how to proceed with the interview, idk if it's up to managers or publicist or whtv but I think there is some discussion before the interview even had to start right?? I'm no Hollywood actor but I feel like if I was in his shoes, with the games I would obviously be down but I would also talk about the production of the movie to respect everyone else who worked on the movie (like mentioning how filming was and how it is unique), if they'd bring up marvel I would try to respectfully shut it down and say like "hey that ended, you know, let's talk about the movie I'm currently in, you know? 😭". With the vague questions like how he celebrates Christmas, answer respectfully but also try to talk about how the movie is related to that at least, idk 😭. And I definitely wouldn't say watch while drunk like 😭😭😭.

(Speaking of, unrelated but not really, is it rude to show up to the red carpets drunk?? Just genuinely curious)

I had been trying to figure out how to articulate it but after thinking on it for a while, I think the biggest immediate change really comes down to confidence (for a lack of a better word???)

Before the tadpoling, Sicarius knew his place in the world. He knew exactly who and what he is, what his (literally!) divine purpose was and how to approach it. He did everything with intention. He acted on his Father's will, and his will was inevitable.

After, Sicarius is just so utterly lost. Every part of him feels like a disjointed collage of disparate traits. And really compounding that is that before the sense of purpose was so important to him. The transition between a fairly normal child to the leader of his cult was built on the foundation that this is his purpose, this is inevitable, this is necessary as decreed by a higher power and he was made for this. Now it's all the confusion of his first kill with the desensitization of his adulthood. There's no moral question or disgust, just the loss of control and the uncertainty about what his relationship is to what sings in his blood when he kills. If it's how he feels or something foreign.

He's still pragmatic. He still prioritizes what he perceives as necessary over his desires, indulging only when the two align. Though before 'necessary' was mostly comprised of Father's will and the road to it, now the concept grows muddier. He's still a stranger to his needs. He still has the curiosity and love of learning, that before the tadpoling had mostly been sated by picking apart the dead and working out what makes the human body tick and all it's intricacies. He still calls nightwear/PJs jimjams. He still gets possessive when he's invested in or curious about someone before he starts to care, but there never stops being an emphasis on mine when he says my friend, my lover, me and mine. He still expresses love with acts of service and bullying. He still struggles to do things if he doesn't understand why he's doing it and what the point of it is. He still has a soft spot for creatives of all types. He still gets irrationally angry if you suggest he give creative endeavors a shot. He still thinks that the concept of having respect for the dead is stupid and dumb. He still, despite having no memory of why, firmly believes he can't die.

There's also how hunger is love is violence. Does that make any sense? It's all one enmeshed thing for him, deeply intertwined, it's all obsession and need steeped in some shade of red

As for the name, I swear I read something related to Bhaal that mentioned it and it stuck with me but I can't remember what the other contents of that text was and I cannot find it again for the life of me. It's also Latin for murderer, assassin. It's also a genus of spider, which the entire family of has a necrotic bite! Which I think is so fucking fascinating! I love spiders!! I am also horribly afraid of them and it annoys me so much because they are such cool buggers but my brain acts like I'm going to die from psychic damage if I'm within 5m of them!!! ARHG Anyway, this is also why I decided my Sicarius has a necrotic bite instead of a breath weapon.

In-world though Sceleritas just showed up and started calling him that. Post-tadpoling, he never finds out about the name he grew up with

The orca vibes are not intentional but they are happy accident, it IS neat! I'm still fiddling w his design but I feel like I'm honing in on something I like & it's really nice to see that other people seem to like it too

The main four SP boys are so funny and i wish more people appreciated how funny the dynamic and history between specifically the four of them are.

They're the coolest kids in school and everyone wanted to be their friend. No one likes them. When one died (semi)permanently, they ran a The Bachelor-type contest to pick a new bestie. They forced a kid to dress like their dead friend. The vibes were still off though so the dead kid came back. They're eight years old. They're ten years old. They're 9 years old. One of them has an alcohol addiction and depression. They've all seen each other naked. When one of them got herpes, he immediately passed it to the other three. These two things are unrelated. Three of them know the other is a psychopath who will kill people who get in his way and they're just like "wtvr". They hate each other more than anything. They cannot stop being best friends or it'll ruin the future of America. They would kill or die for each other. At 50 years old they still have hissy fits like children out in public over an argument none of them even remembers having. They're obsessed with each other. One of them gave another AIDS. They make each other so much worse for being involved in their lives. There is no low any of them could stoop to that the others would find it impossible to be their friend still.

When Chef said that they're friends "whether you like [each other] or not" he wasn't kidding. Its literally inescapable and thats so funny to their dynamic, why would you ever try to change that lol.
