hi!!! i love your art so much!! its so fun and colorful. this is probably a dumb question but how do you do achieve that color pencil kind of effect on your digital drawings? like., its so scribbly and stuff and its so nice! thats how my drawings irl kindof look like too but i have no idea how to do it digitally :( i tried doing it like i usually do traditionally but the lack of texture feels so off and my lines look so unnatural :'^(

omg you’re so silly.. no such thing as a dumb q!! also i’m really delighted bc im a 100% only digital artist so it’s like, wow i can’t believe i’m doing something traditional artists do! very quick tutorial:

I mainly use this ron chan’s sallydog rough (PLEASE LEAVE A TIP WHEN DL) for these kinds of pics, esp at a low opacity. Also I’m only familiar w CSP right now so I can’t rec other brushes for other programs but I think a pencil type would work here too!

1. Here are 3 colours @ 100% opacity on the left for colour picking and 65% opacity on the right for scribbling. I put purple, pink, then green-yellow on top

2. Made the brush bigger and lowered opacity to ~40% and layered the purple on top of it all

3. Still at ~40%, I layered some pink and yellows in places where i thought it would look nice :-)

4. I put the opacity back to ~60-70% and colour pick from what’s existing in the scribbles to add some definition (this is entirely a “feeling” thing and not a logical thing)

Hope this was helpful..!! I bet if you slapped a paper texture on top it’d look nice too!

OK call me a basic bitch for this one but. obsidian GJGSF in my semi early flightrising days (joined in 2018, barely played, stopped for 2 years and came back so. “early”) i used to collect xxy obsidians esp guardians. but i ended up having mostly metallic and facet obsidians and i realized that i actually hate those genes because they emphasize the muscles on the dragons soo much i think it looks gross and it makes me feel bad. i also looove specifically cottoncandy pinstripe (all pink is good tho)

10. least favourite modern gene(s)

i think. anyone who says they like keel is lying LOL i think a lot of the terts are kindof ugly. ringlets and lace too. gembond is.. its a lot. i dont fancy the single toned primary-secondary genes but i know thats like, a lot of them and theyre good genes i just dont like them (like cherub, tiger, vipera, clown, etc. all of them)

JUSt like familiars im not SUPER in the know of what most items look like. i adore the harvest? drinky ones? with the goblets. and i love the suits but thats more about brainrot than them being good. the rosethorn sets are also so preddy
