hiiiii blorbie! how are you? what season do you recomend a f1 newbie starts watching? My friend got into f1 last season, watching some races with me and she asked where should she start watching older ones. What do you think? Cause another friend said for her to start in 2021 and i feel like thats an insane way to start. But also older season may not be as approachable.

I'm good, how're you? if you're gonna rewatch you should watch the competitive exciting seasons imo so as long as they understand The Stakes of 2021 I think it can be fun! depends on who their fave driver/team is imo

if they enjoy f1 for the sport then 2007/8, 2010, 2012 are super competitive seasons with multiple race winners even if you don't personally know the drivers of that era

I personally rewatch specific races than a full season so I'm probably not the right person to ask 😅 but asking others to chime in below 👇

it's a surprise to me how marius and luke share quite a lot of similarities somehow? you mentioned how they both yearn for simple mundanities... marius because of how his past doesn't let him such things and luke because he's certain his future won't let him. they're both self-sacrificing in their own way, not wanting to be a burden to others.

(additional points, both terrible sleeping schedules... luke's aquarium visit card? marius's bday aquarium date event? baby marius' love for orca? i just want them to go to an aquarium and tuck them in nice heavy blankets as i kiss them both in the foreheads)

marius and luke are really such insanely complementary characters once u start digging into them. like, i started shipping them at first simply because their dynamic was so fun to write in fanfic, but the more i wrote the more i was like oh dang you two are two sides of the same coin

thats just one example of so many where like.....theyre coming from different perspectives but sometimes end up with a similar view (ex. luke being taken in by mc's family making him terrified of being a burden and bad person, marius thinking hes the reason he killed someone in his family making him terrified of being a burden and bad person......KIDS CAN WE LIGHTEN UP?)

it's so fun picking into these two more cuz theres so many of these links that can be drawn and at the end of the day, it ultimately means that marius and luke have a lot of meaningful common ground and cld be able to understand each other so well. it looked unlikely at first, but these two have so many intersections where both thought they were isolated, and having someone who gets you on that kind of level....well thats an awesome core for a ship :'D

i loooveeee how hollywood is like look! representation! this main character is latino like u!! and then makes absolutely no effort to also give us merch and spends millions on the white characters merch. like u could have our money if you wanted it but u dont actually see us as on the same level of importance...

craziest part is we latinos fucking love collecting shit. i can go into the home of any one of my adult relatives and they got their collections. una de mis tias has an entire room dedicated to coca cola. mi abuelito LOVES betty boop and perry the platipus and every vehicle imagineable and has a whole closet full of collectible cars and hotwheels n allat shit and his game room is full of rc cars hes been working on. mi abuelita loves dolls and plushies and has shelves full of them. except most of the dolls she has are white bc thats what gets manufactured. its disheartening

and because fandom isnt something most regular people engage in we show interest love and appreciation by purchasing goodies of our fave lil blorbies. not me tho imma freak geek that unfortunately exists on the internet. and ofc id love to buy silly lil collectibles n shit of my faves but they literally dont exist or are wildly out of my price range bc of greedy ass corporations and scalper motherfuckers. in a country which is catered to whites, latinos and black ppl are still very much left behind and it sucks man
