The Seunghan (RIIZE) situation is one of the most confusing and embarrassing things to happen to KPOP fandom in recent memory. I wonder what it's like to be a member of the group and do fansigns where you tell your fans how grateful you are for their support. Like, how do you do that with a straight face and your soul intact. When you have no idea if one of them sent a funeral wreath celebrating an awful event in your groups history. But I guess it's a job like any other, where you sometimes have to leave your values and ethics at the door. Maybe they can get past this but quite frankly, it's just bad vibes at this point. SM continues to be the pits of Hell.

ouu girl redownload tiktok but just clear off your fyp or make a new acc that doesn’t have kpop related stuff, your life will be so much easier
I need to reprogram my brain because my attention span is so FUCKED and I just find myself mindlessly scrolling. I really want to lock in this year but I find myself spending HOURS on tiktok. Sometimes I feel like my brain is slowly disintegrating the more I use it. I turn into a zombie and I've found myself being so glued to my phone that I have a harder time doing chores. It's worse for my younger sister. She's ADDICTED to YouTube shorts so much that she can't do fucking anything without her eyes being on that dang phone and I don't wanna be like that! In a nutshell, I wanna be like Rory Gilmore 😂😂😂😂

TubNet Post
The thing about TubNet is I think it had such a strong potential and was really going somewhere, it just... lost steam from multiple directions. From the delay, to the ddos attacks on launch, to the lack of promotions... it just didn't hit the vision it originally had. The documentary was good (though it wasn't much more info hardcore tubblings didn't already know) and it provided a good summary of how TubNet was made! Though short, (I think Tubbo said he wanted it to be longer) it's a good video to watch for some background and bts of things! So check it out :)
I think in a nutshell, minecraft servers are already a hard thing to get up and running (the devs were putting their blood, sweat, and tears into it), but with the delay and lack of promotion the server just seemed destined to fail... Promotion plays such a huge part in somethings success (just look at they hype the Barbie movie has created from marketing alone) and I always found it weird that TubNet got no more than a few trailers and events post launch. I think the original marketing plan with the Twitchcon stage was AWESOME, but the delay hindered that hype and then the promotion just... stopped. And it's still stopped to this day. I commend how much work was put into the server on a coding standpoint--that's no easy task--but I think may indie companies like this forget about marketing and just how important it is. In this case, I don't think it was truly and one persons fault the server didn't hit the high life--I hate saying that as a Tubbo Supporter, but I'm not pushing the whole blame on him. Though, I wish he did more to get his name out here bc he's always been such a passive person. It's like a kpop nugu almost, when the company doesn't promote the group and just sends them out there and hopes for the best--they're destined for disbandment. I'm not a server person, so I can't speak much on it's life span, but I do hope it will find success. I just think a few things went wrong that demotivated Tubbo and the team which led to the current outcome of TubNet.

I’m a gal who is ruled by her stomach and taste buds so totally going for the dinner with Han. But listening to music with Changbin sounds nice too.
You know what I am not picking? The cable car with Seungmin. I have a terrible fear of heights. Although if Seungmin hit me up on my Kakao Talk and said “we don’t know each other but you wanna go joyride the Skyliner with me?” I would probably do it just to meet him (and be terrified the entire time).
So far only Tricky slides into my Kakao Talk DMs. 😔 But maybe tomorrow I’ll hear from Han?
It's okay Sunny. I can completely understand why you are in such a state of distress. I'm a bit distressed myself. Maybe watching some nice fuzzy scarf SKZ would be like drinking milk to the spicy chili for you?

Ohhhh Poppy, that really soothed me 🥰 Everything about this mv is just so *soft* and warm. 🥹 You’d never know these were the same demons ripping through their clothing on stage in Paris… I’m losing focus, better watch it again! 💕
(If you could go on one of these dates, which would it be? I’m shopping with Chan)

There ARE Korean vkei groups and vkei is too much for Korean IDOLS anyways. It's like how there's a lot of alt Korean idols but they aren't known like normal kpop groups. I want people to like them so bad though 😭😭😭 because it's interesting to see the style spread from just Japan to Korea + the cultural influences that would come with Korean idols/bands doing the same thing. I want them to succeed. That is all it is in a nutshell lol.

✧ ATEEZ: DON’T STOP MV - a character analysis
watch here!!
this is inspired by mitch's video on the mv! please go and watch it, it's an amazing lore and story breakdown / analysis!
if there's one thing i can talk about for hours, it's ateez lore. i can talk about every ateez timeline for DAYS, mainly because i just absolutely adore their music videos' ways of telling a story. from the 'say my name' music video to 'guerilla' music video, ateez has, in my opinion, some of the most interesting lore in kpop. one music video that has really been stuck in the back of my mind pretty much since it came out, however, is the 'don't stop' mv, mainly due to the member's roles in the music video. whilst i, like many other people, don't believe that it is part of any of the overarching timeline lore, i still appreciate the storytelling that the music video holds (nevertheless, hongjoong stated in the group's music video reaction that 'a lot of the fans were guessing how the storyline connects to ateez, but more than that you should know our variety show universe? i think you should see how it connects to that. i think it would be easier to understand,' and san agreed, stating that it would be 'more fun' for atiny to theorise and connect the music video back to their space pirates lore, aka the 'universe timeline', but i'm getting off topic from the points i want to make. i'll happily talk about the universe lore another time!). the music video concept is as follows: a group of pirates, lead by hongjoong, loses everything they have - their ship, their tools - and must restart their journey from scratch, or at least that's the concept in a nutshell. i really recommend watching the music video for yourself to fully grasp the storyline and the character tropes that i'm going to be talking about here.
all that being said, the 'don't stop' mv has some of my favourite character architypes in a kpop music video: the bank heist trope is used so well to tell a clear and enticing story, and it leaves you wanting more of this storyline and this version of ateez as a whole.
to understand the characters, we first need to understand the groups / units that they're in, where they are and what they're doing. seonghwa, yunho, yeosang and jongho are together, robbing the central pawn shop and working together as a team. hongjoong is alone, not participating in the heist, and is instead in what seems to be an apartment or a mansion, a fancy and expensive one if that. san and wooyoung are seen gambling with what we can assume is a mob boss (i could talk about the lore here, but i won't because i'm here to talk about the characters, not the plot), often going all in (the same clip was used twice for san going all in, but again this is irrelevant and me rambling), which keep this in mind as we'll talk about this later. finally, mingi is alone; he's dumped out of a car in the middle of nowhere before walking away from the car as it blows up behind him (this has to be my favourite shot in the entire music video. it's such a stunning shot, literally gives me goosebumps every time, plus mingi looks SO FINE). okay, now FINALLY we can get into the character analysis.
firstly lets start with the pawn shop boys...
seonghwa is the right hand man, specifically hongjoong's right hand man. this is pretty common in ateez music videos (eg. 'the real' mv, which i'll analyse soon), so it's a pretty unsurprising that he's taken this role. he's casual because he knows that he's only here to overlook. after yunho finds the certificate at 2:09, he checks in with seonghwa despite it clearly being what they're there for. he only follows hongjoong, and has a huge sense of respect and loyalty for him, as can be seen at the end of the music video when he's the only member to approach hongjoong after they reunite.
yunho is the driver, in charge of transport and mobility. specifically, he's in charge of the car, and perhaps previously the ship, which may be why he's the member who picks up the certificate of registration of the destiny ship, or i'm looking to far into this. he's the member who drives literally through a wall to save san and wooyoung, and clearly knows what he's doing as he somehow doesn't hit them too. plus, yunho is seen driving A LOT in other ateez mvs, which, again, may just be a coincidence or may be me just looking too far into this.
yeosang is the thief. he's quick, efficient and seems to almost lead the group. he knows what he's doing, and has clearly done all this before; this can be seen by the organised way that he's pulling out the books to find the vault, especially compared to seonghwa. he's also the one opening the vault, showing that he has the skills and the tools to complete the job. also, similarly to jongho, he's wearing full black, but is wearing a gem-covered leather jacket, further suggesting this thief role.
jongho, unsuprisingly, is the strongman, the muscle, the bouncer. this is insinuated in everything about him: from his actions, to his colour scheme, to even simply the way that he's dressed. this is shown even from his first moment in the music video, where he crowbars open a locked door to let the group into the shop. he figuratively protects the group, which can be seen on 3:09 of the music video, where he is stood in front of the group, literally standing between them and possible danger (hongjoong). he's dark, stoic even, wearing simply only black compared to the other muted colours worn by the other members.
next, we'll cover everybody else...
san and wooyoung are probably my favourite characters in the mv. together, they fit a trope that are essential to any heist: the manipulators, the cheaters, the conmen. they're charming and sly, manipulating their way into any situation; in this case, a poker game with who we can assume is a mob boss or powerful criminal and clearly being cunning enough to let him bet the spyglass into the game. they're also seen cheating their way through the game, with wooyoung passing san the winning card. they go all in more than once because they know that whether it's through chance or a little manipulation of the game, they will win no matter what. just the way that they silently communicate and manipulate their way through the game is mesmerising and hypnotic. what's more, their clothing is much less formal than the other members, confirming their casual and perhaps even cocky nature, two traits held by grifters. finally, simply put, at the end of the day they're pirates. and what do pirates do? steal treasure.
mingi is the most interesting character to me: he's shown as unstable, being the only character alone in a dangerous situation, yet he makes it out alive, but not without chaos. he's shown to be beaten up and hurt, but he doesn't really seem to care that much. he's portrayed as the demolitions expert, yet bombs are risky in heists, but he seems unphased by that, choosing a short term solution rather than practicality. he knows what he's there for, and he doesn't care what he needs to do to get it.
finally, hongjoong is the mastermind. the leader. the captain. the captain goes down with his ship, and as shown with his black eye, he at least didn't go down without a fight. he is, understandably, feeling the pressure and the loss more than anyone else. he's angry, setting the room ablaze and shattering the model ship (which again, him being the captain, portrays his sense of loss and feeling of pure rage) and injuring his eye as a result (hongjoong says in the making film that 'he lost his eye because he couldn't control his rage'. covered eyes is a pretty big symbol in the ateez main storyline, so it's pretty cool to see this homage and reference to it in a smaller storyline). he's lost the trust and respect of his members, his crew, as can be seen in the distance between them at 3:09, however he eventually realises that he can't let his pride get in the way of his crew's future.
'don't stop' is rich in character and storytelling for just a four minute long music video. the story itself is full and clear, and the characters are in-depth and almost addictive, leaving you wanting more of this group of pirate thieves. the song itself is catchy and clearly in the classic ateez style, which makes the music video just such a blast to watch. if you've read to the end of this huge infodump of an essay, thank you! i bet nobody really has, but it was a lot of fun to write anyways!! please expect more music video analysis in the future!!

Not sure if you want to talk about it, I didn’t see you mention anything about it so I am not sure but, regarding Rm’s Indigo album.
First thing that came to my mind is that it suddenly after all these years it hit me how and why he chose to change his name from Rap monster to Rm, with this release confirming it but also his previous one too Mono, these are no Rap heavy albums. I can see how he might have felt trapped in the image of a rapper. To me he’s evolved more into a storyteller if anything. This type of music wouldn’t win any awards, there is nothing groundbreaking or mass appealing about it, if it wasn’t for the support of army’s, I doubt any other Korean artist would have managed to pull it of into more than an underground scene album. To me from the BTS rap line his music and aesthetic it is definitely the least complex and attention grabbing. He is lyrically focused and laid back. I must admit I was having a hard time listening to the songs without skipping cause you really need to have the lyrics in front of you to get it. He was always mature but definitely the past 3 years he has gotten into a whole different mindset in my eyes. He sounds, looks and reads ( his lyrics ) like he is ready to settle down enjoy retirement in some forest villa with his family. I hate to compare but this compared to Jack in the Box for me (which if I may admit wasn’t my cup of tea either) is lacking passion and an edge. These are my thoughts in a nutshell but yeah, I would love to hear your thoughts hope you can express your mind fully and hopefully shed some light into something I might be missing!!have a good day!!!
I have concluded that I don't like most of this album.
Not because the music or rap is bad it's because this music direction is just not my cup of tea. There is nothing exciting about it to me personally.
Even with the lyrics in front of me musically it's boring to me.
If you are not into Rap or Hip Hop and don't understand the culture of it. I can see you saying it's not complex or attention-grabbing. But I've been into Rap and Hip Hop my whole life the reason I even started to be a fan of BTS was because of the Rapline.
Rap and Hip Hop wise they are very complex and attention-grabbing. RM whole album is more to the root and heart of old school Hip Hop and Rap. Which most rappers at his age would never do or get. Any real Rap and Hip Hop head would commend this album.
I think RM is tired of the behind-the-scenes kpop industry in general. And all the pressures it comes with being at the top of the game. The constant hounding of the company would tire anyone out. I feel like he was expressing that frustration and how he was feeling.
But the Rapline is truly for Hip Hop heads. They really do get the culture and sound. I love how close to the roots of Hip Hop they put into their music. Most people who say the mixtapes and albums are not their cup of tea just are not rap or hip hop people. And that's okay.
I never expected the Rapline to have a complete pop sound on their albums in the first place. I'm happy it truly sounds like hip hop exciting or not at the end of the day.

I'm so mad about it my friend. I was trying to explain the whole thing to locals and they can't believe it lmaooo in sk you can fall off a scooter and get dragged worse than fucking rap*sts, kindustry in a nutshell for you. ugly ugly ugly. the fact wreath ribbons are a thing is just unreal to me, death ribbons to wish a person alive what exactly??? death??? cause that's what they are for. how is this allowed and not considered incitement to sword, really. and I can see why they avoided showing up at hobi's dischargement besides jin, yoongi obviously wouldn't have showed up and without him people would have talked more etc. a mess all around, kmedia is unreal and full of toxicity. all his solo music is full on reflection on the hypocrisy/toxicity of the industry and mental health now it's happening to him. nah fucking ugly bruh, but i'm glad fans showed up, there were so many trucks etc. yeah june 21, they will all be there by then i'm sure 💓 we're almost there friend 😭 almost over. good luck for other kpop bands fans I don't wish it on anyone lmao

Inspired by harassing @kiestrokes with the below image, cast your kpop Alice in Wonderland
Tumblr media
What did Lokie do to deserve such a cute attack?
I have been thinking on this for days and here's what I've got… I only went for the main characters I could remember, so if I missed any big ones remind me and I'll keep thinking!
Alice - Ten - Okay, I swear this isn't just because he looks amazing in the costume! I think he shares a lot of Alice's traits - he's curious and playful, but also headstrong and determined and doesn't put up with other people's nonsense
Tumblr media
The White Rabbit - Han Jisung - Poor Han was the first person I thought of - he's just an anxious bundle of energy sometimes. He takes his work seriously, so I can picture him fretting bout being late for a very important date!
The Queen of Hearts - Hoseok - TELL ME DANCE LEADER HOBI DOESN'T STRIKE HEART INTO THE FEAR OF *EVERYONE.* I absolutely think he could reach the Queen's full-throttle mania if he let himself go.
The Cheshire Cat - Hongjoong - Yeahhhhhh I just like the idea of him wearing a maddening smile and teasing Alice constantly. Pushing her to do the wrong thing. That's all it is. (I did think maybe Yoongi for a moment, but seemed too obvious to make him a cat.)
The Caterpillar - Lee Know - Another one who seemed too obvious the choice for the cat. I think his energy is a better fit for this character - he basically just gets to sit and roast Alice to her face and frustrate her until he turns into a butterfly and deserts her. That's Minho to me.
Tweedledum and Tweedledee - Jungkook and Seokjin - Because Jinkook share one brain cell like these twins.
The Mad Hatter - Jackson Wang - I resisted the urge to make him the villain. Hatter's not a villain; he's not trying to hinder Alice. He just does what he wants when he wants to and it doesn't benefit anyone but himself. Thanks for giving me the idea Luce 😆
The March Hare - Mark (NCT) - From what I remember about the March Hare, he was always confused but very chill/happy about it. That's Mark Lee in a nutshell.
youtube
The Dormouse - Woozi - He's just a lil' guy who wants to sleep.
Okay, feel free to add your own suggestions and tell me where I'm wrong or just praise me 😁💕

CONCEPT.
The theme is 'Do Not Disturb' mode on a cellphone, which, when activated, ensures that no notifications will disturb us. That's the essence of the closed agency's concept in a nutshell. Came from ATEEZ's variety show in Universe named Do Not Disturb, we want to create a place where busy KPOP idols enjoy their times by starting to turn on their DND mode on their phone.
Will you dare to escape the reality for the next 7 days with us?
