Luther interests you immediately when you first lay your eyes on him

His big, wide eyes almost look small on his long face. Thin lips drawn into a line as he stares back at you. His brown pageboy haircut sways a bit in the light breeze, and you realize that you’re eyeing a stranger at the park

He notices immediately, walking up to you and making you realize how tall he is. At least 6’1, but you’re sure if he wasn’t hunching ever so slightly, he’d seem bigger

“You’re staring, you must like my new scarf.” He says, his voice smooth. It’s not as deep as you expected, almost monotone

He gestures to his dark green wooly scarf wrapped around his neck, noting the several rings adorning his long fingers. You also notice that the scarf is the only warming item of clothing on his body. Which is weird, considering its late fall in Canada

You nod, trying to break his gaze to not let nervousness overcome you. He’s interesting, and you think maybe he likes you with the round blush below his big, unblinking eyes. Swallowing any anxiety you’re sure he can sense, you hold out your trembling hand

“Would you like to get dinner?”

Time passes, and you realize very quickly just how special Luther really is

His house looms, halls leading into rooms and rooms that seem impossible to keep track of. He introduces you to his younger brother, Randal, who bombards you with questions you can barely register before Luther scolds him for overwhelming you

Very quickly, you say it’s alright– you’re just trying to think of a proper response. You’ll get back to him on who your favorite Joker is, it’s been a while since you’ve seen the movies

Your response to his brother seems to please Luther, liking how you don’t blow him off or get weirded out by his… big personality. His brother does mean a lot to Luther!

Then it’s his catmen, two almost twin like men with cat ears and drawn whiskers. You watch as they follow him, listening to him when he asks them to bring you a cup of water after you mention you’re thirsty

He’s the man of the house, he says. Responsible for all his family. It can be hard, he continues, but he tries his best. He’s only human after all ♡

Human, you think, totally

When Luther talks, you pay attention to the sharpness of his teeth. Mouth large as he bites into a sandwich, and you can only imagine him biting into your shoulder with those jagged teeth, long arms wrapped around you as he pulls you onto his lap—

You fantasize about being completely dwarfed and overpowered by him. The idea of being helpless and at the mercy of his inhuman strength is something that makes you shiver 

You also love the way Luther casually invades your personal space, always standing too close, his presence overwhelming your senses. His proximity makes your heart race, aching to feel his large, cold hands on you 

“What are you thinking, schatz?” He says, and maybe he didn’t mean to slightly open his second set of eyes, but he does… and you notice

Perhaps you should question it, but you’re sure it would be rude to bring it up to Luther. He’s not typical, nothing around him is as human as he thinks it is. For as long as he tells you he’s been around, you’d think he’d have it down by now

But it's okay, you think he’s cute the way he is :)

30. Who does your Tav think of when they go to sleep at the goblin/tiefling party? Or are they lucky and do they get to spend the night with the person they want?

Okay, so in the game Dani went to sleep dreaming of Gale BUT I think she did actually go sleep with Astarion. She wanted some fun and Astarion had been flirting with her for a while. Neither of them caught feelings though. I haven’t yet figured out how Gale feels about it because I didn’t play it out in the game 😅

Originally Ardynn went to sleep thinking about Wyll, who she kissed briefly. But I think it was the tall, muscular, infamous Halsin that clouded her thoughts as she drifted off into dreamland.

As for Freyr, Minthara didn’t ask, she basically ordered that they would spend the night together and Freyr was NOT about to argue. He was DTF from the moment he laid eyes on her. He even resisted his darker nature afterward and they shared a sweet moment together <3

44. What does your Tav think of Isobel?

Dani likes her but she also has a lot of questions. Like is she undead? Or is she alive just resurrected? Does she remember anything?? Why does she keep so many secrets??? But she thinks Isobel is otherwise nice and helpful. She DOES wish she could scrub Isobel’s face clean and teach her how to do killer eyeliner though.

Ardynn is cautious about Isobel but eventually warms up to her. Something about her seems unnatural but as they get to know each other more, Ardynn views her as a friend. Plus Isobel is a Selûnite and they need that kind of power around the shadow cursed lands.

Freyr, uh…didn’t really get to know her. His butler told him to kill her, and he very seriously thought about it. But when Marcus showed up saying they should take Isobel back to Ketheric, Freyr stepped in and stopped him, because he hates Ketheric more than he wants to kill Isobel. But Isobel died anyway because Freyr encouraged Shadowheart to kill Aylin and become a Dark Justiciar 💀 so everyone at Last Light died

63. If Shadowheart got a new haircut, how does your Tav react?

Im assuming this is referring to her new bangs look + possible white hair?

Dani loves it. She thought Shadowheart’s original fringe was silly and thinks the white hair looks AMAZING. They talk about hair dyes a lot after that because Dani regularly dyes the ends of her hair with ice blue.

Ardynn thought Shadowheart’s new white hair made her look softer and she thinks it suits her. Ardynn far prefers Selûne to Shar so anything that Shadowheart does that moves the needle closer to Seluûnite worship is good in her book.

Freyr and Shadowheart are buddies, so when she gave herself new fringe (still black hair) to represent her transition to a Dark Justiciar…well, okay, Freyr didn’t notice at first. But when she asked him if he liked her new look he immediately said yes because what are friends for? It took him a couple more hours to realize how, exactly, her hair had changed but his opinion didn’t waver. He thinks her original bangs are dumb.

Freyr is such a hilarious outlier to every one of these ask games lol

so random, but you’ve got a real talent for giving yourself good nicknames. i think i used to prefer REDACTED, because it sounds very cool and you have to round your mouth juuuust right to blend the consonants with the vowels, but seb is growing on me, i like it a lot. there’s a story i read once where the main antagonist has your name. it’s called The Maestro. i’ll send it to you sometime!it’s so curious because i never learn my comrades’ government names from them. it’s always their friends who slip up or something funny. then there’s this sweet but a little stressful internal moment of “ohhh that’s their name —i shouldn’t know their name!” and maybe you forget it immediately but maybe you kind of sit with it and think about the way that name blends with the person you know. i rarely hear my comrades call me by my first name, but when i do hear it sometimes it can be quite sweet. like “oh! that’s how my name sounds on your lips…there’s a new dimension to our friendship.” i haven’t heard my first name here in like two weeks!

hi! i’m gonna write this email slowly because reading the note you sent gave me a lot of pleasure and warm feelings right at the bottom of my stomach. i read it several times hahah —which is exactly why i make my friends email when i’m away from them. there’s something incredibly tender about sitting down to write out a long form note to someone who is special to you. it reminds me of being on tumblr when i was in high school and had long distance internet friends. so i’m gonna add to this a little bit at a time over the next few days because i want my email to be as thoughtful as yours and make you feel as good as i doooo. plus coming back to this a little every few days as i have time has been really nice. my life is slow(er) here so little things like good coffee, working on this email a little every week, and writing love-notes to my friends brings me a lot of joy.

I'm coming back to this letter now a few days after the start of Operation Al-Aqsa Flood. God Seb, what a rush. I find it hard to put into words how emotionally overcome I am, how grateful I am for what Palestine has given the world. Later this year an essay I wrote about how micro dosing falling in love and djing for beautiful people are the only things keeping me alive as the world ends. Now I can add the might of the Palestinian struggle to that list. Can you believe it? In our short lives we are once again sitting at the end of history? That we have the opportunity once again to plant the seeds for a world that we can be proud to show our children to? The struggle in South Africa, West Africa, Wallmapu, Armenia, Atlanta and Haiti all coming to head at once-- revolution is so poetic. In this moment, I feel so clearly the exact strategic and tactical moves that I can make among the circle of folks closest to me that will fortify the Palestinian struggle. Not to get annoying and meta, but I feel like you're the type of person who finds brainy things to get super meta about too, its really cool to see the way that our function in movement can shift depending on the context. In Atlanta, so much of my work in the struggle is architectural. I get so much joy out of supporting our city is designing the infrastructure for mass struggle. In contrast, in this space, I see myself firmly in periphery working to disrupt the zionist rhetoric wherever it shows up, connecting the legacy of palestine to the legacy of algiers, to the legacy of haiti, and supporting the campaigns that cut the head off our local snake. There are material actions we can take right now. We can support the struggle in concrete ways. In this moment I feel again how alive movements can be. Very much, mitochondria is the powerhouse of the cell! I could go on forever about my admiration for the Haitian and Palestinian struggle forever without once getting the true heart of my emotions on the page, but there's a lot of poetry radicals around the world have written for and about Palestinians. George Jackson had palestinian love poems in his cell. Yesterday, a page posted the line "o earth of palestine! i, too, am yours!" from the Pakastani poet Habib Jalib. I've read that one line one hundred thousand times since the start of the flood.

Jack’s extended family are part of the SunnyTime Town AU, also known as the STT AU. This isn’t to be confused with the universe for Something’s Wrong with Sunny Day Jack, where Jack is just a character Joseph/[Redacted] played. In STT AU, Jack is a real person who happens to be a clown, living in SunnyTown, as opposed to CoudyTown. It's primarily a comedy AU based off a world filled with clowny characters. Here’s a couple of images Sauce/Jambeebot did for it, including ones that explain more details about it.

Oh, before I go into the images, I will emphasize that Jambeebot/Sauce’s art is not mine, and I really hope you support them on their official Sunny Day Jack twitter, Patreon, and/or kickstarter! They work super hard to create this content for all of us to enjoy, so I wanted to emphasize the credit to them since I’m showing their publicly released artwork.

Also, while I’m on the topic, please don’t repost the private patreon-exclusive art. I’ve seen some people reposting art from the patreon in the tags, and even if it’s cropped, that’s not okay. Doing that is not supporting Sauce/Jambeebot; that’s costing them money that could be spent helping them be financially secure and allow them to make the game without worrying about their livelihood.

And since you were interested in seeing Jack and his big sis Daisy Chain Jane as kids, as well as getting a look at what little we’ve seen of Rise and Shine’s backstories, I shall deliver.

I’m still working on Alice’s clownsona as it were for the STT AU. I do have her name sorted out though - Aurorabori Alice.

Yes, I feel quite proud of that pun.

Alice (and MC in general) would be the newcomer to SunnyTown who Jack feels an immediate attraction to. Jack is well liked by everybody, and is always friendly, but he’s especially drawn to Alice, wanting to befriend her and spend as much time with her as possible.

Also, despite this AU being very lighthearted and comedy based... yanderes still exist here too, and Jack inherited quite a lot of traits from his dad...

The intensity of these feelings for Alice(/MC) are new and... more than a little unnerving, even to Jack. He’s never felt this way before about anyone. He aches for her in a way that is so strong, he is rather frightened of himself, and too ashamed to tell anybody that he feels this way. He didn’t realize that something was missing from his life until he met Alice, and now that he knows just how warm sunshine can be, the thought of living without her feels dark and cold, even though he’s surrounded by friends and family who love him.

Despite these new frightening desires, Jack won’t force anything on Alice. How could he do that to someone he loves so deeply? It would snuff out her light and ruin her. No, all he can do is keep these feelings hidden and love her with all his heart. Hopefully, if he does everything right, she’ll eventually love him too. There’s no one else in the world who could love her more than he does. It’s impossible, not with feelings as strong as this...

As for Alice... she just thinks Jack is very friendly. Anytime she suspects that he might be flirting with her or that his feelings might be anything but platonic, her best friend Honey Bunny is quick to remind her that Jack is just a very friendly person, which is why everyone loves him, and he probably isn’t interested in getting a partner since he’s never had one before at his age.

Though Honey doesn’t realize Jack simply never felt anything for anyone the way Alice did.

Yes, this is the same Honey Bunny puppet that’s from Alice’s concept sheet. Like Buddy can change from a belt to a person, Honey can change from a puppet into a person.

There’s a theory that when Buddy changes into a human, Jack turns into a belt, though there are also pictures of the two of them human together (including a very spicy one). Still, if Honey and Buddy’s situations with their respective pals are similar, then it means Alice would have a puppet form she can transform into. I’d probably have to design it when I finally draw her STT AU self.

Honey has good intentions about steering Alice away from Jack’s affections. Alice moved to SunnyTown to get a fresh start after she had a rough time with a former suitor who may or may not be Ian’s clownsona. (Naturally, things won’t wind up as toxic for the breakup as they did in the SDJ universe.) Honey wants to protect her best friend from heartache, but might be a bit overprotective at times.

On the other side of the coin, you have Buddy serving to encourage Jack and give him, at times kind of off the wall advice, but he means well too. Naturally, this causes Buddy and Honey to come into conflict a lot, as Buddy is trying to be Jack’s wingman, and Honey is trying to be Jack’s cockblocker.

One solid image I have is of when Alice and Jack start getting closer despite Honey’s interference, Buddy (in human form) drags off Honey by her ears or tail (also in human form) to give them alone time.

Yes, Honey still has rabbit ears and a tail in her human form. How can I resist? Plus it’s not like Buddy doesn’t have unusual anatomy too...

Oh, speaking of that part of him, in this version of the STT AU with Alice, Honey and Buddy wind up going from antagonists to, ahem, quite a bit more. They fight, and it turns into spice. Jack and Alice are going to walk in on them and get quite a shock to see them making out.

Naturally, in a general MC version of the STT AU, there wouldn’t be a Honey Bunny, so it’d be up to the respective person writing their take on the AU to decide how the relationship with Jack goes and what obstacles there are.

Jack is very likely to introduce his family to Alice right away. Jane seems like the type of nosy big sister who would insist on meeting the girl who Jack can’t stop talking about. Mama Shine and Papa Rise would obviously be curious as well.

Rise would also suspect that Jack might be taking after him in a certain way and discreetly give his son tips on how to keep from scaring away his sunshine. After all, Rise would never allow anyone to take Shine away from him, and why would he force his son to suffer without that addicting sunlight in his life?

Shine is a sweet mama type, very energetic, loud, and talkative. She would be the first to greet Alice after Jack introduces the family, likely with a big friendly hug, and would gush about how her son always speaks so highly of Alice, much to Jack’s embarrassment when she starts giving examples.

Alice, in return, would be happy to meet her new friend’s family and very happy that they like her. She wouldn’t be nervous about meeting them since she wouldn’t realize that she’s meeting her future in-laws. She would see where Jack gets his friendly and kind personality from when meeting them.

Honey might insist on coming along to the instruction if possible. She’ll be seeing right through Jack’s intentions and want to make sure things stay strictly platonic, though she will be friendly and wind up liking the family more than she thought she would.

How the family would feel about a general MC really depends on the different MCs and their personalities. From the aspect of how they feel about someone Jack is obviously in love with, they’re happy for him that he found someone who makes him feel that way. As long as they’re a good person for someone as sweet as Jack, they’ll welcome them with open arms.

Opinions on Alice specifically are as follows...

Shine thinks Alice is a very sweet girl, and is very considerate of Jack, which is ideal in a partner for her son. Alice is not terribly talkative, but that’s not a problem at all. After all, her loving husband is nonverbal. What’s important is that Alice is kind to Jack and even at this early friendship stage, she can see the hints of budding romantic feelings towards Jack forming from Alice’s end too.

Rise has a general friendly reaction to Alice initially, then is quietly surprised and pleased to learn that she knows sign language and can hold an actual nonverbal conversation with him. That certainly wins her a few points in his book. The more he learns about her, the more he can see what Jack sees in her and he approves.

Yes, Alice knows ASL in the SDJ universe too. (As well as the other AUs with her.)

Jane is a bit more of a wild card when it comes to Alice. She both likes Alice right away, but also sees an opportunity to playfully tease such an easily flustered person, as well as her little brother. She’s friendly and ultimately ships Alice and Jack, but is going to give them both a hard time with it and mercilessly tease Jack at every opportunity.

Opinions from the family about Honey Bunny are generally positive as well, as it’s easy to recognize she’s just looking out for a friend. Shine would probably try to give her advice to take it easy sometimes though. Jane would find it hilarious that Jack is getting cockblocked and use it as teasing fuel. Rise would see Honey as a potential problem, but is keeping hands off from interfering, as it’s a minor issue and Jack needs to learn how to deal with people who would keep his sunshine away.

Buddy is nebulous in that he’s a close enough friend to Jack that he’s practically family, so I’ll give his opinions as well. He likes Alice right away. She’s friendly, nice, and she greets him along with Jack even when he’s a belt at the time, which a lot of people forget to do. He is totally on board with helping Jack win her over.

As for Honey Bunny... as far as Buddy is concerned, she’s obnoxious, annoying, but cute, and fun to tease. The latter feelings develop into a more, ahem, friendly type of teasing down the road.

In the STT AU, Alice would probably be the new arts and crafts teacher at Jack’s schoolhouse, which gives them plenty of time to interact, and plenty of time for Jack to give her lovestruck looks from afar as he watches her teach the kids and play with them.

Also, in a nod to the lore I went with for Sunshine in Hell, Alice would sometimes give puppet show presentations at the library with the help of her friend Honey Bunny. Cloudy-Belle Sue just might wind up being her cousin in fact, given Alice’s hair is kind of cloud-like and fluffy, which is similar to Sue’s hairstyle. In this situation, it would be Sue introducing Alice and Jack to help her cousin get used to the town and make friends.

Naturally, Sue and the rest of the SunnyTime Crew are going to help Jack get together with Alice. They’re his friends after all, and Alice is a sweet girl, though Sue will caution Jack to take it slow since she’s had her heart broken before.

For a general MC, the crew would no doubt ship Jack with his sunshine regardless since he’s so happy with them. Whether they’re related to any of the other crew members is up to the individual MC’s backstory, of course.

1. When did you buy the game?

I first played Cyberpunk a couple weeks after it came out at a friends house, when it was still a buggy, almost unplayable mess on the PS4. I loved it immediately, and got used to saving all. the. time. But despite the flaws, I was immediately pulled in by the depth of the world and the connection you felt with the NPCs, and the overall aesthetic of the game. It was what gave me the kick to evnetually order a PS5 and in Jan. I started my first playthrough with Hiro. I had no idea how much CP would stick with me, and I definitely think the community both on discord and tumblr, and in person is part of the reason it's resonated so much 💖

2. When was the moment you knew you loved the game?

Walking out of V's apartment for the first time, and immediately feeling immersed in the world CP had created. It felt like such an adventure, and the plot managed to keep me engaged, but part of the fun was exploring the map, and discovering all the little secrets there, and just stopping to enjoy the surroundings on occasion. And how much fun I was having with photo-mode, slowing down and playing tourist with everything Night City had to offer.

3. Which character did you romance in your first playthru?

As one of the one's who was disappointed as hell we couldn't romance our talking brain-tumor (hello, than why the roller-coaster date?), I didn't expect to warm up to as many of the characters I did. Kerry was my first romance, followed by Panam. I didn't warm up to Judy or River the same, but I still appreciate their characters a lot, and had a ton of fun with their storylines. That being said, I would have liked a few more romances, or at least more attention to the ones that existed. Don't get me wrong I adore Panam and Judy but River and Kerry felt like afterthoughts, and you can definitely tell who the game was catering to.

4. Whose your favorite NPC?

Okay unapologetic Johnny simp over here but there were so many good NPCs. I adored Viktor and Kerry from the start but Takemura and Panam really grew on me too! And Dum Dum, which I absolutely did not expect. There were also a lot of side characters I enjoyed and would have loved to see more of--Regina and Pepe, and Tom/Roxanne and the Clouds crew.

5. Did you have inspiration in mind when designing your V(s)?

Oh absolutely. I was inspired by some of my favorite protagonists from TV shows/video games, that sort of headstrong and reckless but well-meaning character, with a good dose of angsty backstory 😂 One of the strongest things that influenced him was the aesthetic of cyberpunk, and the tattoos. I saw a mod of the Tyger Claw tattoos and started thinking about a character with a checkered past, and a boatload of enemies who followed them, trying to start over and build a new life.

A lot of what influenced Hiro was my own playing style. I went into CP expecting to create a character who was good at stealth and sniping, and realized I didn't have the patience for it, and preferred to brute-force my way through most obstacles instead. So this shaped a lot of Hiro as well, and he's only become more fleshed out over time, and with some inspiration from friends. 💖

6. What's your go-to vehicle?

I started out driving Jackie's bike and switched to the Yaiba Kusanagi and didn't look back from it. The speed was a lot of getting used to, but the bikes feel easier for me to control, and I'm an absolute menace with the cars in that game. I'd intended to drive the Porsche more, but I couldn't get a hang of the squirrely turning. The Kusanagi fits Hiro better anyway, so I'm okay with it.

7. What's your favorite gig/mission/job?

I really enjoy the Judy and River quests, just for the overall storylines and how well they set the mood. The Judy ones are interesting, and you meet some really vibrant characters, and the River ones are just flat out creepy. I really like horror movies/games and it almost felt like something out of one. Definitely one of the few points in the game I was genuniely freaked out, and I still remember playing that one with the lights off and slightly regretting it. As for smaller quests, definitely enjoyed the Pepe one, especially with Johnny's narration. The Maelstorm quest where you have to go fetch Nancy was interesting too, if only to go poking around Totentantz in the meantime.

8. Which NC radio station do you switch to the most?

Radio Vexelstrom is my favorite, followed by Principales and the Dirge. Anything with a good beat, really. 👌 I love jazz in real life, but I was never able to get into the radio station that much. It felt out of place for me, or at least for my character. Maybe it would feel better suited for a Corpo playthrough.
