opinion on april 9th?

april 9th as in the tragedy of april the 9th when the soviet army attacked innocent civilians who were fighting for their freedom?... yea pretty gut-wrenching and tragic, that's my opinion on it.

(of course from what I've discussed with my family, there are a lot more different political angles you can look from at it but politics makes my head hurt AND altogether, that tragedy shows that ussr was just a bundle of evilness and bloodthirsty monsters even when it was on the verge of crumbling down 🤷🏻‍♀️)

!! I finally made a sprite for my ‘Yuu’ OC, Viktor, who is the janitor at NRC \(//∇//)\

This was so funny to make…Jack was the MVP for this one, thank you. We have two sprites of Jack’s PE uniform, one Jack school uniform, Silver’s hair, Azul’s glasses, Crowley’s keys, Jamil’s eyes and ears, and…a piece of Najma’s hair 😭😭😭 Viktor Frankenstein

Notes about the sprite and Viktor details below the cut 🧹🧹🧹

To catch anyone up on Viktor, he is the accidentally summoned Yuu, but has no interest in essentially being a high school student at 42 years old- so he ended up on the payroll (much to Crowley’s chagrin/j). Because it was funny to me, he is twisted from Cinderella. I pair Viktor with Crowley (bickering old couple) so Crowley will be mentioned too.

-Viktor’s OG design unintentionally resembled the student PE uniform, so lore wise, since he couldn’t wear the student uniform, Viktor fashioned a work uniform out of a large student PE uniform. The colors of his shirt was changed to better distinguish him among the students.

-Viktor’s main color palette of brown, black, white, and blue is in reference to Cinderella’s maid dress. But he also has blue and silver for Cinderella’s ball gown. His silver accessories are meant to contrast with Crowley’s gold

-I imagine that during Book 4, Viktor was entrusted with a set of keys before Crowley dipped for his vacation. It makes his cleaning work a lot easier. He can bug Crowley more often since he has a key to his office too 😃 The keys are on his left side to also contrast with Crowley.

-The purple-ish cleaning towel in his pocket is a reference to the purple towel Cinderella used in some scenes

-He wears gloves for work but I couldn’t render them too well anxjdj

-His pale eyes are a vague reference to the glass slippers

-His dark brown hair is a homage to Danielle de Barbarac, the ‘Cinderella’ character in the movie Ever After. I grew up with this film, and I really love Danielle. I would say some aspects of Viktor’s personality is inspired by her as well

-He had various scars from his old world. Life was not very kind to him, but he doesn’t care much for it anymore.

-Viktor would unironically use his belt against Overblot phantoms. Yes I imagine there was at least one case where this did actually work. Viktor isn’t tolerating any of that nonsense 💀He doesn’t need a Whip of Love to whip these kids into shape smh smh

-His original design has a regular neckline, but I wasn’t in the mood to ‘rezip’ Jack’s PE uniform through rendering 💀 But I will keep it like this, since the white shirt balances out the darker colors of Viktor’s design.

-His glasses are sort of low on his nose on purpose 😭 I think it’s funny (I used to be teased since my own glasses never stay in place for too long Anxjdjdj)

-I never mentioned it in his OG introduction posts, but he is transmasc. Some projection from my end here -v-

-In the future, I’d like to do the sleeveless and ‘shorts’ version of this sprite. He had one prosthetic leg below the knee, so that will take some time to render. His white shirt is a tank top.

CROWLEYS HAT MAKES VIKTOR LOOK SO SMALL NSJXJD 😭😭😭 Please… Viktor is around 5’6. Crowley is 6’0, but Viktor is just shorter than way more than half the students 💀 Bro is one cm shorter than Ruggie. Why is everyone at NRC so tall?! All I can say is that…I am taller than Riddle but otherwise I cannot boast about my height. I had to remove a lot of Jack’s torso and legs to fit Viktor’s height lmao- but in compensation Viktor’s arms are bigger 😌

regarding the cereal poll, I think part of the reason eating cereal sounds so baffling to myself and other americans is because cereal is seen very much as like. super quick and easy breakfast. so not only is warm milk cereal odd to us in general, but we also are inherently put off by the idea of adding another step to what's supposed to be an extremely "easy" meal 😅

but also, I get that. I understand. sometimes I'm the morning I can barely get up, let alone heat up my milk for cereal. but also I'm a little freak and I'm not consistent with the hours that I eat cereal at, it can be a breakfast, a dinner, a supper, idrc. so it's usually not a problem for me to spend 8 MINUTES heating up my milk on a stove. and cereal with heated milk just tastes better yk, it brings out the flavor

JAMES IN THIS SCENE 🤣🤣🤣 He's already staring at the ring in slight disgust, and then suddenly Maria holds out the rusty ring and James just begins staring at her in a displeased way, clearly not wanting to take it. After a few painful seconds pass he realizes she's not going to acknowledge his obvious "I don't want that" look on his face.

But instead of being a normal adult and simply informing Maria that he clearly doesn't want it, he instead chooses to slowly raise his hand up in a sarcastic manner, like he's giving her a chance to realize that he actually doesn't want the ring. AND THE ENTIRE TIME, he's staring at her with this pouty expression like a grouchy 1st grader.

THE BEST PART: She STILL doesn't even notice, because during the entire exchange after she holds the ring out for him to take, she doesn't look at James's face even ONCE since she's focused on dropping the ring. She never notices James silently sassing her the WHOLE TIME. Even after she drops it in his hand, he CONTINUES staring at her dead in the eyes with a painfully obvious fake smile (basically a grimace with how much he's gritting his teeth) while uttering a very sarcastic sounding "Thanks".

It's only after Maria turns away does James eventually realize that his bratty passive aggressive display wasn't going to be acknowledged, so he finally stops and sighs in defeat.

JAMES IS SUCH A TODDLER 😭
