Reading loz/lu fics and it's just so interesting how wide the spectrum is of their personalities.

Sometimes it's got an in universe reason (different past (usually gender or species change), recent or ongoing traumatic events, a spectacularly bad first meeting), but sometimes (often) the characters are just... Weirdly angsty or peppy, there's no in between!

And I'm beginning to think less people have played more than one game than I thought XD.

Not that it's anyone's fault! One game is more than enough to be part of it all, and loz is exclusive to Nintendo consoles - and all the older stuff is frustratingly hard to get hold of. Heck, I'm still looking for wind waker, and that was really popular! And then you have to play it! They're not small games!!

But could people writing wild please ease off just a tiiiiiny bit so he can be a semi functional member of society pretty please XD? He's just as much a polite boy as any other member of the chain! He won't even run in shops! He can't attack npcs! He talks to every single person he's ever seen and remembers every single name. Yes, he's three quarters woodland creature with a hefty amount of trauma but he's also a fashionista who managed to avoid accidentally taking sides in a mayoral election and that's not easy!

what's naboo like? naboo is beautiful this time of year. it's always beautiful. naboo has great green fields, oceans of sweet smelling grass, old trees draped in vines blossoming into bright flowers, explosions of colour. theed is lovely; sunwarmed golden stone, streets lined with flower boxes and trees, graceful marble statues and verdigris green roofs. isn't it so beautiful. they have a tradition there, of young queens. it's a little odd, but naboo is so beautiful, so perfect, so idyllic, how could anything be wrong? what happens to those queens after they rule? well, they do other things, I'm sure. look at the lakes, so tranquil, so peaceful. morning mist rising and burning away in the sun. dew drops caught on spider's webs. what things? they retire, surely. listen to the birds. it's nothing bad, naboo is so beautiful. and it works, clearly. look at the planet! what's the palace like? oh majestic. golden stone and green domes, pillars and walkways and carpets of honeysuckle and ivy clambering up the walls. roses bloom, sweet and scented in the garden, lavender explodes out of urns, the pillars are pink marble, the main plaza has a tree lined walkway, so so beautiful, and the fountains! like nothing you've ever seen before. lovely. perfect. what's inside the palace? only the queen and her handmaidens are allowed in. you have to allow them their traditions.

maybe, inside the palace is a monster. maybe, inside the palace the shutters are drawn over the windows, and then curtains drawn over those. maybe, inside the palace it is soundless, oppressively quiet. maybe, inside the palace is something that is hungry. something that has made a deal. something that is waiting. maybe, queens and their handmaidens are identical to buy them a little more time, maybe the queen who (sometimes) emerges at the end of her tenure is the same girl who went in. maybe she isn't. maybe the handmaidens don't return for a reason, maybe they walk pretty to their deaths wearing the dress that they will die in.

but naboo is so beautiful, how could any of that be true?

there’s a lot of little scarlet and violet details that i really like, but one of my absolute favorites is that, if include all the Gym Leaders, all the Team Star Bosses, and all the Elite Four Members, then there’s at least one specialist in game for every Pokemon type... EXCEPT Rock type. which at first is a little like, oh, that’s a weird oversight, what happened to that one?

And the answer is NOTHING happened to it, there’s been a Rock type specialist here the whole time!!

Ms. Tyme! She used to be the Rock type Gym Leader!!! Completing the set of every type’s representative in Paldea :3 It’s such a neat little touch!

So all the old stuffed toys Melinda had growing up, her little Round Table and the toybox that she dubbed as "Toybox of Despair", she has all of that stuff still. It's in a small room in her cabin. She had meant to give them to her children but after getting the news that there is just so much damage to her womb (from battles with the forces of evil) its unlikely she can have children.

if i'm not mistaken, it was originally supposed to come out in 2007, but time constraints pushed for it to be released in 2006. it's a shame cuz i def agree it could of used the refining, especially in the game-play & functionality department, but over all it left a pretty solid impact on me and it's the game that made me start liking sonic as a character!
