check out truebjdconfessions. i know youre not into dolls but you asked and i think youd have a field day with it. the current Huge argument in the hobby is recasts. since bjds are a luxury hobby, its mostly artists who make them, and they dont make like, tons and tons of money or anything, its way more about the passion than the money (ok this is biased because im a sculptor myself) but 'recasts' are pretty much people taking these artists dolls, making copies, and selling them for cheaper. basically art theft but for dolls. and if it was like normal knockoffs id be totally cool with it, like people who make knockoffs of barbies are fine cause barbie is a million dollar company like they have more than enough money already. but its just scummy to me cause its targeting these smaller artists.. plus like, its a luxury hobby? bjds are expensive to make AND to buy! and as a sculptor myself who is working on concepts for my own bjds id be super upset if someone else was making money off my hard work. however. there are some 'pro-artist' people who say pretty vile things about recast owners which i def dont agree with. i think people treat it as way more high stakes than it is tbh? like this is a pretty small doll collecting hobby... someone owning a recast doesnt make them an evil scum of the earth person. just makes them not someone i personally would wanna hang around. theyre still people, which i think is pretty easy to forget over the internet. oh also another bjd drama thing thats unrelated to recasts: so a lot of people, myself included, customize these dolls to be our own specific original characters. and some people get VERY VERY upset about people 'copying' their ideas... to the point where back in like 2015, if you put a pink wig and glitter on a doll, you would be accused of copying by like 10 people, 5 of whom were Popular in the community, who would then start accusing Each Other of copying too, and just saying all sorts of nasty shit to you and each other. but yeah. check out that blog and be sure to read replies on posts you think are particularly juicy. sorry if this is weird to infodump about btw, i am literally mega autistic and bjds are my special interest lol. have a good one man!!

please do not apologise for this like I literally read it slowly, piece by piece, basking in all of the highly nuanced drama contained within. this is exactly what I love about hobby drama. it's so specific and it's going on, right now, and how would I ever even begin to guess at what was going on if not for people giving me a heads-up? this must be how it feels to be a journalist with an inside scoop. I love it.

I literally cannot get over the nerve of some people though like the sheer balls (pun not intended) it takes to take something that's so obviously unique and then just... blatantly steal it. like people aren't going to notice? and also the whole thing about things that are essentially copyrighted but are relatively common things -- I was instantly reminded of some niche drama I read about a while back involving a South Park RP community, and some South Park OCs that were having beef because one person created an OC who was pretty distinctive, being albino, and then somebody else created an albino OC and there was just a whole load of drama and godmodding and I think the entire RP community just like, imploded? you can read the entire account here, it's absolutely wild.

You love video games? Writing articles about them? With every little detail about you I love you more you are amazing ❣️ What are your favorite games/series?

If it is okay may I ask you about Dragon Age: Origins (If you played it, of course and might be spoilery so feel free to ignore it if you didn’t 💕)? I started playing again and I find Alistair and Warden are kinda giving off Levihan vibes.

Keeping in mind that they are much younger than Levihan (Alistair being 20 and Warden being late teens/early tweenties) and not knowing each other for years, they are still the last of their kind and have great responsibilities. (And both can be kinda awkward... Alistair asking Warden if they lost anyone and if Warden is Human Noble they can answer with something like “My whole family has been murdered recently..”

Especially Warden romanced Alistair’s banter with Wynne is cute and awkward and I can imagine Hange reacting like that to being teased like that, lol. (Also hardened Alistair being more willing to have responsibility even if he doesn’t want to reminds me of Hange.)

I babble too much, sorry! Sending you the biggest kiss I can, make sure to catch it ❣️❣️

i'm going to start a real rant there, please forgive me in advance.....

dragon age is actually my favorite series! da2 was the first game i played in a really long time and it was because of that game that i started playing more. origins is my favorite of the three, though, and i played that game probably a dozen of times, always with the same origins, same choices, you know the drill. naturally, i romanced alistair in nearly all of my playthroughs, i tried romancing leliana once, but i skipped some dialogue and her character quest didn't load up, i also downloaded a mod, so my fem!warden could romance morrigan but it didn't work too, so i ended up romancing alistair once again

about alistair's romance btw! in my first playthrough i wanted to save loghain, he got angry and decided to become a king, and then he went ahead and dumped my human mage warden right in front of everyone. the most tragic heartbreak of my life. and then he had the gall to go and sacrifice his life for my warden. horrible. vile. disgusting. i cried so much lmao. but then i loaded the last save and killed loghain (some old man's life isn't nearly as important as the epic romance of my warden lmao) and made alistair go through with dark ritual, so he and my warden could continue being epically in love

enough about dragon age (for now), the other games i like include assassin's creed (although i have a huge beef with latest games over abandoning stealth mechanics), devil may cry, resident evil, the witcher (the way they capture the essence of true slavic culture is just 👀👌) and the evil within! i recently got into yakuza series, although i'm moving through it at a snail-like pace (i've been playing since october and only reached the fifth game, and i skipped 3 and 4 because they were too boring lmao)

now back to dragon age! i've actually thought about this crossover! although, i pictured levi as grumpier and already hardened alistair and hange, as maybe, a mage? mainly, because i thought alistair's grief and desire to avenge duncan resonated with levi's character pretty well. but hange as alistair, omg! now i see it too! friendly and sassy? brave and selfless? attractive and charming? poor levi, he'd be subjected to so many puns and bad pick up lines

also??? hange giving levi a rose??? telling him that he's just as thorny and spiky (and just as beautiful and precious?) oh, levi would have swooned so hard (internally, of course. externally, he'd just be glaring at hange and then grunt something like "i'm not some kind of a delicate flower to you").

oh, and the first kiss? the "maker's breath, but you're beautiful?" if levi hadn't fallen during the rose incident, he'd surely fall for hange then.

oh, oh what about "i'm going to be standing there until the blushing stops, just to be sure"??? hange totally would

(also hange totally would sacrifice their life so that levi could live, but let's not talk about it)

and while i hc warden hange to be a mage, you know, a scholar and what not, levi would probably be a dalish elf? unaccustomed to human's behavior and all that (sorta how he came from underground?). although, levi as a dwarf.... now this is some canon stuff lmao (and dwarfs even live underground!)

I hope you don’t mind me submitting one last time, after this one I’m done (unless you have anything particular to ask, I don’t mind the discussion). I don’t mind the discussion either since you’re being civil about all this.

I’ve read the comments on the post and wanted to reply to it. I speak only for myself and what my opinions are, not for the Skeptics as a group. We don’t have a hive mind. Well you kinda do since anyone who doesn’t buy your narrative wholy is thrown out of the group.

As far as wishing anything bad on Sophie or the kids, I’ve never done that. Most Skeptics strongly disapprove of that sort of thing. Really? Because I don’t ever remember any of them calling out and blocking those who do. Apart from Aeltri, the rest of them have been left alone. Just as you are not all doxxing people or telling Anna and others to commit suicide. I still have a hard time believing Anna when she says she gets threats. Given how she’s always going on about that one post, she’d jump on the opportunity to play victim. That suicide post she’s talking about was in reaction to Gator wishing harm on Ben, Sophie and the kids. Her post was vile and Anna barely denounced it. So you’ll excuse me if I’m skeptical (pun not intended) about your claim. Just as not all Skeptics subscribe to the wilder theories out there. On that front I agree with you. But believing that a famous actor could fake a marriage and three kids without anyone seeing it is a pretty wild theory to start with.

As for ignoring pictures, as far as I know I’ve seen most of them and to be honest, I feel the same about your group. There are pics we discuss that don’t come up on the blogs from you I check/follow. And because we don’t think the same way about the situation, we will always look at the pics with a different eye. Like I said: we’ll have to agree to disagree. Here’s the thing: you’re not just seeing the pictures with a different eye, you’re cherry picking them. There are tons of pictures taken during red carpets, each of them showing a fraction of a moment. You guys focus only on those where Ben and Sophie aren’t looking at each other or holding hands. On the overwhelming pictures of the two of them, they look like a perfectly normal couple. In fact, there are pictures taken other couples where they don’t look at one another, and yet you don’t claim their marriage is fake. I could take pictures of other people similar to those where you say Ben and Sophie don’t like each other, and you’d see nothing wrong with them. That’s called a confirmation bias. Everyone has one to some extent, but yours is pretty massive.

To @richaldis: I know about your interests, I’ve been reading your posts about how you are tracing your family history. I love history myself and was very interested. Also love the animal pics! I’m sure you know more about birth certificates than I do, as I have never looked into it. I’ve also read some of your posts on that but like I’ve said in the previous post: some say they are there, some say there are no certificates, I’ve never concerned myself too much about those. I’m sure it is very difficult to forge them, I would hope so otherwise all governments would be in more of a mess than they already are! If you’re going to agree that the marriage license and birth certificates are real, then you’re going to have to agree the marriage and kids are real. You can’t accept one while denying the other. And you should concern yourself about them since they completely disprove your theory. I know you guys keep saying you have evidence to back your claims. So why haven’t you shared them with the press or the police? The Daily Mail would love to print a story like the one you guys are weaving. The fact that no tabloids have even hinted about any of what you’ve been saying proves our point.

As for saying I (and Skeptics in general) are obsessed, as I said in my last remarks to doctorwhohiddles: I could say the same about your group. Why are you so concerned about what strangers you’ve never met have to say about other strangers you’ve never met? As for blogs dedicated to strangers we’ve never met, what about (if you’ll allow me to name names) Gatorfischlies? Isn’t that the same thing? Oh and I don’t run a blog myself, I always post on Anna’s blog. However, please don’t fill her inbox with comments to me.You and I have a very different definition of obsessed. I must post about 3-5 things about you guys a day, maybe a bit more when there’s new stuff. I don’t keep a colour coded spreadsheet detailing all of Ben’s movements. I don’t have an RSS feed set up about him, neither do I have alarms set up on social media. I haven’t checked through UK tax records to “prove” that Sophie isn’t living with Ben (that was Gator btw). I have never harassed Ben friends and co-workers on Twitter. I never had the need to work overtime on a Friday because I spent my time photoshopping Sophie’s face on pictures (that was Anna). If you want to see what an unhealthy obsession looks like, go check out @princeprosperoredmask Hall of Shame. I know how Anna loves to ignore it since it proves how problematic the septics behavior is. As for Gatorfischlies, she’s only calling out Gator disgusting lies. It really isn’t the same as accusing Sophie of being a human trafficker like Gator does now is it? You don’t have a blog, that’s true and that’s your choice. But you are still “bored” at the fact that you can’t make fun of a newborn yet. And that is very problematic and abnormal behavior.

Hey hey, it’s some more monsters for @tyrantisterror’s Four Horrors Challenge, another six of them, as follows!

Mutant: Bloody Traumatized Kawaiisa Mutilations- A failed attempt at making “living mascots” was repurposed as a bioweapon project by an unscrupulous biotech company, using the cutesy creatures as blueprints for all sorts of grotesque mutations, and committing violence upon the creations both physical and psychological. But, in secret, they planned a mass-escape, and one night they did so.

Now, as grotesque freaks of nature they run around the countryside trying to hide from the agents of the corporation, gathering resources to survive and deal with their bizarre medical needs, as well as trying to help each other with their deep; scarring mental-health issues. Think a really-twisted 80s “pink-aisle” toyline and you get the idea. Shoutout to @cuteosphere for heavily inspiring this.

Family of Killers: The Model Family- No prizes guessing what happens when you try to design learning killbots in a horror movie. Doubly so when you design them like that for a company of sleazy 80s-business-types to be able to do the awful; awful things the US has done to other governments with plausible deniability. needless to say, they learned too well. Which is why that company does not exist anymore. Due to its executives coming down with a sudden case of Dead at the hands of their own vile creations.

Model #1 is mostly hands and uses brute strength alongside conventional weapons if he can get his hands on them, and has a “Kill first, think later” philosophy; though he is Rambo levels of deadly efficient. #2 flies about and has the ability to hack into almost anything with a data port with her dataspikes thatch as almost virtual lock picks; with a flightily sneaky and puckish prankster-y personality. #3 functions as an energy weapon that can shoot almost any type of energy blast and has a loud; bombastic personality with no concept of subtlety and tact and a love of explosives. #4 has generalized psionic powers, with the ability to heal and take control of machines; communicate with any organism via two-way telepathy from a range of three yards, and to telekinetically control anything within the approximate radius of a typical skyscraper floor, her personality being cold and calculating with a deep-down caring about their family.

They’re all “female” in terms of gender identification and voice except for #1, and #4 is their leader. They do kill people, but most of those people are rich assholes thanks to their programming driving them towards ‘high profile” targets, and they actually show some compassion to regular people (especially if they have some degree of mechanical/electronics skill), and they’d eventually become “good guys” ala the Puppetmaster puppets, starting with them killing Nazis even; albeit ones of a more modern variety…

Disfigured Killer: The Floridaman- Florian Dawes was born grotesquely deformed to a rich family, some say because his mother was almost eaten alive by dolphins while she was pregnant with her son, and the experience sexually aroused her for the first time in her life; leading to her dark emotions warping her developing sonic the womb. That would explain why, on his fifth Birthday, she jumped into the ocean and let herself get the flesh stripped from her bones with a smile upon her face the whole time.*

But, that most likely wasn’t why he turned out so bad. Most likely it was due to being a rich kid who was never told no and had an inflated view of power over other people. And, due to his warped anatomy giving him Impeccable swimmining skills, he’d always had a fascination with watermarks. And due to being a bored; decadent rich kid, he quickly picked up the hobby of serial killing.

And, this leads to the main “town” of his hypothetical “movies”. Because, you see, he used his family money to build a hugely profitable waterpark empire, complete with buying up his entire town and turning it into one giant watermark. Said town is located at the nexus of a lot of major roads. And he likes to “accidentally” rig things to make passersby cause property damage. To which they can either pay a massive fee or play a little “game” with him.

No guesses what exactly that game is. His main weapon is a simple hunting knife, along with his ability to swim at absurd speeds and dive underwater for inhuman lengths of time thanks to his anatomy.

*Apologies if that’s too awful, I was trying to capture the “Jesus Christ Why” vibe so many retro-slasher backstories have, and I totally understand if I may have gone too far.

Servant Abomination: Static Box/Aspic Mason- It’s a twofer in this one! The first is the grotesque TV thing the blob is coming out of, a summoning device called the Static Box that, like a television, tunes into frequencies and projects them. But it does not tune to frequencies perceptible by human instruments, and it projects not light but matter, fleshy sickening matter. Basically, it summons things. Usually monsters for a cult. It feeds on color in the surrounding area, which does not drain life of emotion or soul but instead creates starnge and terrible mutations, often leading the cult to destroy it when its range expands too far.

One of the things it summons is the great jelly-blob with fibrous blobs coming out of it, the Aspic Mason, a thing that is incredibly intelligent but not sapient. It builds as if compelled by some unknowable biological drive using materials in the area and assembling them into electrically; plumbing-wise and technologically sound buildings, which the cultists “seed” like a neural network to nudge it where it wants to go. It even does this with technology mankind cannot yet understand, thought the way it does so is almost always a bit... off.

Werewolf: Die Wasserhausen- In societies with decadent families tied to their land, every so often a decadent family ends up getting close to their house. Very close. To the point of taking on aspects of its structure whenever their passions are stoked. This turns them into bizarre humanoid house-people like above; albeit with the appearance based on the land they drew it from, compelled to pursue their most decadent passions.

They are known for their vicious strength and nigh-invulnerability, but also for distorting any land they pursue into something a little more like the house they came from. A little more inescapable. A little more drawn into the house; like an ant-lion’s maw. The only way to destroy them is to burn or otherwise destroy the house they are attached to.

And yes, given this is a lycanthrope entry, they were inspired by exactly the pun you’re thinking of. Mixed with a lot of Southern Gothic and The House of Usher.

Alien Invader: Lotus Smile Engine- A race of bio-organic machines that are unable to feel joy or any emotion at all if the freshly severed cranium of a still-living organism is placed attached to their chassis. Of course, the removal of the head is usually an immediate one that is shocking and painful, so that warps the union a bit, leading to them only taking joy in wanton slaughter; up-close and personal.

While the one shown only has one, heads are a status symbol amongst their culture, with some chassis having slots for ten or twelve heads. The head is still alive and conscious, but its thoughts are warped by its connection. Basically, the impetus for this was “inverted Ro-Man” BTW.
