#that needing to replace 13oz of fluids in a day

So like a month before I got my drain i had an appointment where i was taught how to cate for and manage it.
One of the things that was DRILLED into me is however much bile ended up in the bag day to day, i had to drink more than that in fluids. Whatever fluids i could get down, but some of these fluids being electrolytes was encouraged.
So I'm like expecting to have to go hard on the fluid intake.
Ok. Two facts about me.
1. When i had cancer I was very very thirsty and drank about 3 liters of water a day, plus other fluids that was just my water.
2. I no longer have cancer and i no longer am thirsty all day every day, but i am still very much in the habit of nursing some sort of drink all day every day. I *only* get about the required 64 oz on a bad day. On a normal day, my fluid intake is off the charts. On a typical day, my minimum is 88 ounces. Granted, it's no longer water, but a solid half of that isn't caffinated, and that isn't factoring in my Gatorade intake which i don't track. I'm not sure where I'd begin.
Anyway. I'm not fully comprehending that the 10 minute lecture on fluid intake was mainly aimed at someone who maybe doesn't always gwt their 64 oz of fluids. And that perhaps cancer made me fluids Georg and I'm an outlier who's fluid intake can't be counted. And i stocked up on fluids ready to kick back AT LEAST 50% more than i already do.
I just have to input more than my bad outputs.
That's the goal. Replace the fluid loss via biliary drain.
Anyway. It's been a little over 72 hours with the drain now. And so far I've emptied about 350 cc's of stuff from the bag it collects in. We'll drastically round up. That's 13 oz of fluids I've needed to replace. In 3 days.
I think. I feel like maybe i can do this, yeah? I can drink at least 26-30oz a week? Seems doable?
#seriously though#how little is your average person drinking#that needing to replace 13oz of fluids in a day#warranted a 10 minute lecrure#that's literally just me taking my morning meds with my first Gatorade of the day#which i immediately chase with some caffeine#i have like 30 oz of fluids before I'm properly up for the day#is that a lot?#this might be why i pee more than anyone else i know#wild#but fluids are yummy yo!

December 2022 Plan
Last December, I followed these rules to go from 158.6 to 151.8 pounds in 5 days. This was right before the holidays.
Fill up on liquids and eat less than 1000 cals of solid food, spread across dinner and 2-3 snacks
Snacks were either fruit or half a bar of Hu chocolate
Dinner always had a protein and fiber source
Drink at least 120oz of fluid, the most common choices being water, protein coffee, sparkling ice, and tea with almond milk and sugar. I typically hit a full gallon (128oz)
The drink order was water -> protein coffee -> water -> milk tea -> sparkling ice or water
Food was sprinkled in between the drinks, usually having 1-2 snacks, dinner, then the third snack if needed. Typically, I would have my first snack after the coffee and my second after the milk tea. Dinner was around 7pm give or take an hour
My main activity was walking, with an emphasis on hitting 10k steps a day
This time around, I'm making some minor changes. Today, I will experiment with replacing the 24oz milk tea with 24oz sugar free juice. One thing I didn't care for was how much sugar was required to make the tea taste the way I liked.
After 5 days, I plan on switching back to maintenance mode for up to 5 days. That means working to keep my weight within a 3 pound range. This way, I can reset my start weight to a lower number before continuing. I'll keep going once I feel stable at my new weight and I don't feel like it's just water weight loss that's going to pile back on.
Protein coffee = 1 premier protein shake + 1 tbsp instant coffee + 13oz hot water
