Gotta be honest here I think Schadenfreude is one of the worst abnormalities in LobCorp solely due to its mechanics. I think its gimmick is extremely cool conceptually, but in practice by the time you get it you're left with absolutely No clue on how you're meant to deal with it. I've seen SO many people get completely stuck on this thing and have to look it up on the wiki out of frustration that it completely negates the point of its gimmick in the first place. People should not be quitting their playthroughs over this abno.
And like, it's one of the only two (2) abnormalities that has this particular type of mechanic. The other one you're not going to see early-game - by the time it shows up, you're at least better equipped and familiar enough with how LobCorp likes to play dirty that it's not as frustrating imo. But Schadenfreude is put in at the exact Worst time you could possibly get it - too early to really understand just how far the game will go to fuck with players, but well past the point players would have stopped looking at the text above the abnormalities, having written them off as flavor text (which they generally are for every other abno)
If you can get fucking Meat Lantern as early as day 3, I think Schadenfreude should be in the first few days pool. That, and/or make its gimmick a LITTLE more visually obvious at least instead of leaving the hint in exactly one (1) very easy to consistently miss location.
