Using targeted searching like "word" or site:x "word" or "word combo" before:year, basically trying to make google your bitch. I also use gettyimages like a visual wiki of events Trey's been to+the date, it's quite useful... ik you didn't ask the "how" part but aaaa I like talking about it 😭 I have a lot of fun. Even though sometimes I just come up empty handed even after hours of research. More often than not tbh. Also I'm an obsessed weirdo who checks the words "trey parker" daily on twitter, tumblr, ig, fb, yt, web archive and ebay. 🫠

I actually have a lot to say about this but imma just keep it short and snappy

The shinigami corp is now a superhero corp, training and dispatching miravulous holders instead of reapers. Depending on how good you did in training you'll get a stronger miraculous. Undertaker, the once in a generation prodigy, got the black cat but eventually grew bored of the monotonous work and deserted, taking the Miraculous with him. Only with Grell, next generation prodigy, they finally got another on his level and she earned the Ladybug. Dispatched to find and catch the stray cat her loyalty to the institute is challenged by Undertaker not only understanding her struggled but also being hot.

I just had to shorten his coat and hair and boom, perfect outfit for him. The locket chain turns into little bells bc who needs to be stealthy. A pic of the show miraculous ladybug for all who need it

Translating my two fav reapers into ladybug and cat noir was so much easier than i thought bc it basically writes itself! Picture Undertaker swinging his baton real fast and with green action lines it looks like a scythe now, and the jojo in the show mostly spins for attacks anyways so that makes instant chainsaw vibe. And the summary up top you already read but can't you just imagine in their first confrontation like in black butler in book of the atlantic where Grell was confused about not cutting throigh Undertaker's weapon and he not so subtly tells her there's one thing a death scythe can't cut through? It can literally be the same conversation with the Miraculous Weapons!

Shinigamis in BB all have green eyes bc they're shinigamis but now they're superheroes so their eyes change colour to suit their miraculous if they're good enough. I also want the miraculous symbol to show up in their eye when they use their super power that's why both have an extra eye sketvhed next to them

I LOVE THIS ASK! 

1. I have always wondered about that. Even current, softer Serkan would get PISSED at someone keying his car. He keeps all of his things pristine. You know under normal circumstances he would be infuriated by that and not let it go. The car would have had to go to the body shop and everything.  I think the fact that he didn’t seem all that bothered, other than threatening to call the police of course, is that he was just so gobsmacked by this insanely beautiful, but also beautifully insane, lady yelling at him and handcuffing him that he couldn’t think straight. The fact that she had seriously vandalized his car became inconsequential. 

Additionally, I think when he found out ArtLife had cancelled her scholarship, he became embarrassed and didn’t want to make any more of an issue about it. 

2. I forget about him too. What a tool he was. It also seems a bit out of character for Eda now.  All of her friends and her aunt knew that he was ghosting her, and they made it clear they thought it by their reactions, but Eda didn’t get it? Eda was ready to marry a dude she hadn’t seen for a year? That does not sound like the Eda we know. Independent, fiery Eda? It’s true that she’s grown a lot, but that much? It seems like they designed that relationship to put Eda in the right frame of mind to kiss Serkan on the podium and then, thankfully, forgot about it. 

3. Yes, Melo is all of us. In the early episodes especially, Serkan could be a real jerk, but I know I never held it against him for long, just like Melo.  None of us can resist him, I’m sure we were all cheering her on when she was the one to give up Eda’s Saturday morning location.  And I love it when she calls him enişte. It’s also sweet that he’s fond of her as well.

My thoughts are pretty much the same as yours. In the beginning I really thought they were pretty flat and wasn’t really rooting for them.  Partly because I loved Engin’s character and I was pretty “eh” on Piril. She was so laser focused on work that I didn’t like when she would try and guilt Serkan because he was spending time with Eda. I found that annoying and I thought Engin could have a more interesting relationship (like Melo!).

Alas, that wasn’t to be, however I surprised myself by actually cheering when he proposed, and I really liked their heart to heart talk in the NY episode. On the other hand I wasn’t really charmed by their disconnect when it came to entertaining people. They were SO FAR apart.  Piril was so uptight and Engin so lacksodasical, I think they’ll end up driving each other bonkers and it’s hard to see how that will work, and I’m not sure it’s something I want to watch all that much of. 

Same as you, I’m hope that Piril’s father turns out to be interesting. What’s going on there? Will we find out this episode?

Also, honestly, I’m still pressed they didn’t call Serkan to come to the wedding. (But I assume that had more to do with how quickly they shoot and needing to have scenes without Hande and Kerem in them. H/K were in tons of scenes that episode so it was probably tight with scheduling and they were doing A and B units etc.)

Hello! I’m well, thank you for asking.  I’m not even joking when I saw that SCK was a highlight of 2020 for me. I’m so appreciative for the happy and joyous distraction it’s been over the last few months. 

I LOVE MELO AND SEYFI.  They are two of my favorite supporting characters, and two of the only ones that have stayed at the top since the beginning. Now Aydan is up there with them, but she wasn’t in the beginning, lol! 

Those two deserve all good things. Leyla is also a great character and I wonder what her feelings are towards Erdem. Does she really like him?  

Anyway, I’m not sure what they might be planning for any of them, but I can tell you I’m more interested in how they might end up, than I am with Ceren, Ferit, Fifi, or Piril.

I don't think they've ever mentioned it on the show and if they have I may have missed it but it's interesting. It's most likely that her grandparents died and her mom didn't have any siblings but it would be really cool if she did have a family member who understood her and supported her and Serkan unlike Ayfer.

It would be interesting to know, you’d think she would have some relatives on her mom’s side.  We’ll have to see if the show ever mentions it.

See, this is why I always say not to borrow trouble by worrying about the disaster scenario.  Why would he ask Balca to marry him the day after he sexed up Eda? Even if they were hiding it and using Balca for subterfuge, why would they need to go all the way to engaged to do that? 

I’m glad you’re feeling better. I agree that the video posted today with them all at Eda’s house with the flower and the chocolate looks very much like they’re doing the traditional asking for her hand for serious this time!

Me too!  I appreciate the cast and crew AND I appreciate the fandom. There are some very lovely people here, and I’m thrilled that I have you all to discuss the show and ship with because none of my friends or family in real life watch either.  I’ve told many people about it, and sometimes I will drop words or phrases in Turkish that I’ve picked up watching and all they do is roll their eyes at me.  (I enjoy that) 

Also... talk back to that screen, I do. It’s fun. LOL.

My apologies, I know this ask was sent before some of the recent spoilers including the second promo with the... uh... explosion. (sex) So at this point I do not think they are working together, the break up appears to be real. So it will be interesting how the first 2 hours of this episode plays out. I assume the sex will be in the last 15 minutes. 

It looks like Serkan’s tact is to pretend he’s over her and moving on and let that drive her crazy. So I’d say that in order to do that, he has a pretty good idea why Eda broke up with him and knows it’s because of Babaanne and threats against him.

Since you sent this I’ve answered another ask about Ayfer here.  I very much agree with you.  She reacts negatively to everything, I’m not sure why the girls like to hang out with her so much, they have to hide everything and she is like a damp rag covering any bit of excitement. 

On rewatching some of the early episodes, I have noticed that she was negative  from the beginning.  She was even annoying in her first second on screen, when she was waking Eda up to go help with the soil delivery. I hate that shrill voice she uses to say Günaydın over and over again. 

You’re so right that she hasn’t had much if any growth.  Neither she nor Aydan were excited by the Eda/Serkan pairing from the beginning. Aydan was more vocal, but Ayfer was just as disapproving.  And frankly, even though between the two of them, Aydan might have seemed like the more formidable foe to the relationship, Ayfer actually always had more power.  Just because Serkan Bolat is going to do whatever he wants to do and he’s not going to be swayed by his mother’s disapproval, but as we’ve seen in episode 21 Eda is more susceptible to her aunt’s guilt and disapproval. Remember when she asked Eda if she could trust Serkan’s positive assessment of her work because he might lie if he has feelings for her!?! GRRRRRRRRR. 

The other big difference is that once Aydan saw how absolutely heartbroken Serkan was, she completely changed her tune and became supportive of the relationship. Her son’s happiness mattered to her. While Ayfer sat there last week and watched her heartbroken niece and reacted with glee.  Eda’s happiness is apparently not important to Ayfer.  

If indeed the Bolat’s have come to woo Eda, it will be interesting to see how Ayfer reacts.  Will she come around on her own or will Eda have to give her an ultimatum. I wouldn’t mind that, actually.  Give Ayfer a reality check on the way she’s been behaving, just as controlling as her mother.

I don’t agree that Serkan was coming from a “purely selfish place.”  I don’t remember Serkan saying that and if he did, I’m sure it’s because he’s attributing all his motives to the one he’s most ashamed of feeling.  Because while there was something selfish in not wanting her to know the truth and not wanting her to think of her dead parents when she looked at him, I think it’s clear he was also trying to protect her from those thoughts. He was trying to protect her from the heartbreak of dredging up their deaths, protecting her from having to make the decision to leave him. It was a lot more complicated then just him being “purely selfish.” Remember he inflicted the greatest heartbreak on himself, you don’t do that for purely selfish reasons. 

It would be nice if anytime something went wrong, there wasn’t a knee-jerk reaction to vilify one or the other characters.

Lava’s Art Masterpost

Hey, all!  Welcome to my art masterpost!  I have no idea if this is a thing that is done typically for art, but oh well, I like organizing things, so here we are!  What you’ll find here is mostly Dragon Age, with a few non-DA pieces in there, and there’s a range of styles I like to use, depending on my mood.  But a lot of what you’ll see will most likely combine lineart with some other form of coloring/shading.

Feel free to browse at your leisure, and I hope anyone who stumbles upon this enjoys what they find! :D And thank you to anyone who sees this and likes, or reblogs, or even just stops by to peruse a bit!  

All that said, away we go!

Digital Portraits:

1. Portrait of Nameless Woman, 2020 - This one is just an experiment with a watercolor brush that I did.  It’s not anatomically perfect, but I enjoyed playing around with shading.

2. Sketch of Aja Amell, 2020 - This one is basically sketch practice with my Amell~  Not really the most expressive pictures, but it’s a start toward drawing her more expressively.  Full disclosure: Aja is one of those OCs of mine that I have had trouble with deciding on a definitive appearance for several pictures, and I really want to work on upping my level of consistency when drawing her.

3. Long-Haired Fenris, 2020 - Exactly what it sounds like; this was for practice drawing Fenris’s features (I love how distinct they are), but with long hair because I am weak for it.  This one was a fun piece to shade, and mixing the stylized lineart that I normally use with a greyscale shading spectrum was really enjoyable.

4. Portrait of Ilorin Lavellan, 2016 - This is an oldie.  Basically practicing expressions, and it is technically a WIP, but I’m still very happy with how the shading turned out, especially because this is actually (aside from the unfinished hair) one of the more minimal pieces I’ve done in terms of lineart  It’s still there, and it still shapes the flow of the picture in some ways, but it also ends up flowing with the shading instead of standing out next to it, which I like.  (Both styles are good, though, and I love seeing other artists try both too.)

5. Old Portrait of Aja Amell, 2016 - Much older picture I did of Aja; she... honestly looks very little like the newer one, I think, and that consistency is something I’m still working on, but this one was the first picture of Aja with that particular hairstyle I drew.  What I like about this picture is how young she looks; it fits with her image as a fresh and sheltered Circle mage who’s only about 20 years old at the time of DAO.

6. Old Portrait of Trilyn, 2016 - They very first piece of art I posted to tumblr~ It’s not exactly how I envision Trilyn anymore, but it was still very fun to draw, and helped me get a feel for drawing him in the future. 

Dynamic Movement Pictures/”Moment’s in Time”:

1. Tabris in Arl’s Estate, 2020 - TW: blood.  I am super proud of this one.  My ultimate goal is to draw all of my Warden DAO OCs, and I could not believe I’ve never drawn my Tabris, and so here she is.  This was, in large part, practicing expressions because I absolutely love art that depicts characters in motion, or capturing some kind of expression.

2. Velyn in the Rain, 2017 - This one was actually based on some art that I saw in a Teen Wolf fic!  It was an experiment with a more expressive style (and one of the first pieces I did without lineart left in the finished version) and it was a huge step out of my comfort zone.  But overall, I am extremely happy with how it turned out.

3. Jem Nocking an Arrow, 2016 - And here is the lineart version.  This was entirely an excuse to draw my DAI baby, Jem, and to do a cool archer pose because archers are my fav, and I love characters in motion.

4. Solas Teaching Trilyn Fade Magic, 2016 - This one was a painterly picture that was also (like the Velyn picture) something which I tried to keep lineart out of.  Overall, I am proud of a lot of parts of the pic, but I think I would definitely go back over it and change a few things now if I had the patience.

5. Trilyn Closeup WIP, 2016 - TW: injury, blood, mention of abuse in the author’s note.  A lot of early pictures I have are of my OC, Trilyn, and this is one of my absolute favorites.  His entire upper body is technically in the picture, but I hadn’t finished rendering it yet, so this was what I posted.  And it was an experiment with a cross-hatching style with the pencil tool for some texture, with air brush shading and a blurring tool.  It’s a style I had fun playing around with!

6. Trilyn Blood Ritual, 2016 - TW: blood, injury (the slight cut used to supply the ritual with blood).  This one was definitely a sort of “captured moment” from a backstory I gave Trilyn, and I think what I was really going for was an atmospheric piece that could fit with any potential fic I wanted to write for Trilyn.  And then it ended up being practice for extreme lighting/shading techniques, and drawing the blood and the gross mass of demon ichor (or whatever the heck that is) turned out to be highlights of making the piece for me.

Art + Text:

1. Freedom and Control, 2020 - TW: scars, but very difficult to see.  This one was ambitious for me!  It started originally just as Solas and my Tal-Vashoth OC, Saara, facing each other, because I love the dynamic I’ve built for them in my head, but then it turned into an attempt at a tarot-esque background, and just sorta grew from there... Overall, I’m happy with how it turned out, especially with how Solas and Saara themselves turned out.  The version you can actually see a larger view is here.  

2. Marianna and Delia Codex and Art, Pt. 1, 2020 - I love writing my own codex entries, first off, and I love combining art with text to create a (hopefully) seamless work.  This work was an attempt to flesh out these OCs of mine with both art (because unique facial structures are hard for me to get down, but so important regardless) and text (because writing~).  I think it turned out well overall, but there are elements of the portraits that I might at some point touch up a bit.

3. Marianna and Delia Codex and Art, Pt. 2, 2020 - Part 2, with what I refer to as a “DAI Outfit Change” because I have always loved seeing fans show their own OCs as they look in DAO, DA2, and then finally DAI.  So I absolutely wanted to jump on that bandwagon myself.  The skin tones are a little off (and I’m sorry about that!) because I was playing with the watercolor brush at that point, and it dilutes the colors I use.  Still working to figure that out, but I was very happy with the overall lineart and structures of the faces.

4. Alistair/Aja Amell Picture with a Blurb, 2017 - Ooooold, old, old, old, OLD!  I still love the art, and I’m soooo happy with how the interaction between Alistair and Aja turned out (drawing kisses is extremely difficult for me; I always end up creating a distorted weird lip-creature, instead of realistically puckered lips...).  I’m not as happy with the blurb that went with it?  At that point, I was still very much figuring out my own DAO worldstate, and the characterization for everyone, so, eh.  Take it with a grain of salt!

Unfinished Costume Designs:

1. Ancient Elvhen Armor with Dwarven Influence, 2018 - People who do costume design work are amazing and mystical beings, and I wish I could do what they do.  This was an attempt at merging the Keeper robes from DAI with a more dwarven armor aesthetic, solely because I created an ancient elvhen character, Ceda, who was taken in by the Cad’halash dwarves mentioned in the Witch Hunt dlc, and I wanted this character to have a mix of the elven style of armor and the dwarven style.  I’m overall decently happy with it, but there’s still that persistent level of self-criticism present.

2. Herald of Andraste Outfit WIP, 2016 - This was a very old picture, not one I showed around a lot, but the idea for this was entirely born of my intense interest in how fashion and outfit designs could be used to create a symbolic image for the Herald of Andraste.  In general, I love the combination of ceremonial armor with long and flowing cloth, so that was what I went for here.  I’m still actually very proud of how this came out, and headcanon something similar for my Herald in my canon DAI worldstate.

Pencil Sketches:

1. Quick Saara Sketch, 2019 - TW: saarebas mouth scars.  Exactly what it says; very quick sketch of Saara I did in a small notebook I carry around with me.  This was basically a test for myself to see if I could manage to draw Saara with the features and facial structure I envisioned for her without needing to use a lot of references.

2. Mass Effect Character Sketch; Jesse, 2018 - Similar reason for drawing this one as the above Saara sketch!  With these characters, I love sometimes the way they can turn out with the specific character creator used for them, and when I draw them, I enjoy trying to create a definitive look for them using what I get from the CC, and my own knowledge of Hooman Faces.

3. Saara Sketch, 2017 - TW: saarebas mouth scars.  A more detailed sketch of Saara than the one above, and one I definitely put more time into overall.  It’s currently the profile picture I’m using for ao3, and is the definitive go-to reference picture I use whenever imagining Saara in a fic, or for other Saara pics I make.  I am extremely proud of this picture, and feel like I should work in graphite more often.  It’s such fun, and the texture is so nice to look at.

4. Sketch of Nameless Alamarri Woman, 2017 - This was a sketch I did of what I envisioned some Alamarri tribes to look like; I used artistic depictions of Gaul tribes and hairstyles for inspiration, and have used this as a go-to reference for my version of Alamarri tribes.  Nothing super notable about this one, but I really liked the way the shape of her face turned out.

Events and Gifts:

1. Another Scar, 2020 - TW: blood, injuries, gore.  The most recent piece of art on the list, and a gift for @cartadwarfwithaheartofgold; featuring sisterly love between Rica and fem!Brosca, which was her requested prompt.  This was a tough piece for me because of the difficulty with the lighting I dealt with.  For some reason, that one particular element of it gave me so much trouble.  Overall, I’m very happy with how it turned out, though, especially the skin tones of the sisters; Brosca I always sort of like as having this greyish, more gaunt look to her, while Rica I like seeing with a darker, richer, and warmer tone to her.  

2. A Very Cousland Christmas!, 2019 - This was for a holiday exchange for a server, and I drew a friend’s Cousland (Elissa, the girl on the left) with my Cousland (Gazza, the girl on the right).  I love kid-fic, and I love kid-art, and so I decided... baby Cousland art!  Drawing kid proportions was the toughest part, I recall, and I thiiiink it turned out well, and I’m still quite proud of it overall.  Elissa’s design came entirely from my friend, but I added the holly~

3. Exchange Gift with Dis Brosca and Mabari, 2018 - This was an exchange gift for @fanfoolishness, using her lovely Dis Brosca, and was my first real attempt at backgrounds... I struggled with the coherence of the foreground and background a bit, but I’m still very proud of how it turned out, especially with the colors I had to work with.  What I also really enjoyed working with was the lighting and the expression on Dis’s face.  Backlit subjects are always fun to play around with!

4. Inktober Picture, “Deep”, 2017 - TW: scars, injury, mentions of abuse in the author’s note/attached dialogue snippets.  This was for an Inktober prompt (the only one I’ve ever done, sadly... because I am bad with deadlines...), and again features Trilyn.  Trilyn’s backstory has him a former slave in Tevinter, and a lot of the early works I do for him are sort of deep-dives into his life there.  It’s all meant to be an exploration of the things he endures, and then those moments when he overcomes it all and takes back his own autonomy and self.  This art is definitely provocative, and I can understand if not everyone likes it, but to me, I just wanted to show just what he faces (without glorifying it) before showing the moment of his own triumph.

5. Christmas Holiday Picture with my Brosca and a Friend’s Amell, 2017 - This was a piece of art drawn first by a friend of mine, @nanahuatli~  She drew the Amell, the background, the mistletoe, etc.  All I did was add my Brosca to the mix to finish the image.  It was a lot of fun to do, 1) because it was fun trying to match her style so that the picture looked cohesive, 2) because I love doing collabs with friends, and 3) because it was just such a fun thing to imagine my surly short Brosca, looking at this weird plant/fungus/thing dangling over some puckering human!  It was an absolute joy to do this collab with her!  

6. OC Kiss Week Pic of Jem and Saara, 2017 - TW: saarebas mouth scars.  A spur-of-the-moment thing meant to demonstrate just what kind of dynamic my OC, Jem, has with my other OC, Saara (both of whom are members of Leliana’s network in DAI).  This was a very quick picture (deadlines...) and was mostly just to have fun drawing these two characters interacting, and to see if I could make them look like themselves.  I think I did a decent job with it overall, especially with Jem’s kissy-face!  (Again... drawing kisses are the bane of my existence, although hands and feet take a close second.)

He kissed your nose. “Enough time to throw on some cloths. I let you sleep while I showered. Joe will bring us coffee.”

You stretched and sighed as he got up. When you came out of the restroom dressed, he was on his cellphone texting. Seconds later there was a knock on the door. It was Joe.

“A caramel macchiato for the lady and a black coffee with two sugars for the gentleman”  

You took the venti hot drink. “Just what I needed. Thank you.” Setting it down for a moment you bundled up for the walk to the car.  

Bill slides his coat on with a red hat and scarf that covers most of his face. You follow Joe to car. You look out the window quiet as you sip your coffee just thinking about being “friends.” with a man you wanted so much.

“Are you ok?” Bill put a hand on your shoulder.  

You sighed looked over at him. “Yeah, it’s just early.”

“We have an interview after our fitting.” He took your hand in his which confused you a little.

“You should have told me.” You whined. “I don’t think I’m dressed well enough for today. I’m not even wearing make-up”

“You can always grab an outfit from costuming and have the make-up department do what you want.” He added. “I think you look great as is.”  

“Thank you.” You threw him an uneasy smile.

When you get to the staging site there are vans with equipment galore and the crew are hard at work putting set pieces together. Your driver that you have figured out is also a bodyguard ushered you over to one of the buildings on the premises. He walks farther with Bill when some ladies tell you to follow them to your fitting.  

“Good morning Miss. My name is Carol.” one of the ladies said as she started measuring you. “Looks like you stayed about to same so no big costuming changes at this point. We have three wardrobe choices for you to try on today. You will get a bit of hair and makeup over with Tamera for different looks also. Then we will take some photos and show them to the director and producers. After they decide which look they like best, you and Santa will get some promo pics taken for the awaiting press. Lastly the two of you will do a few interviews together in the same PR tent you pose for photos. And that is all that is on the agenda until Monday.”

“Sounds like a full day of fun and games.” You finish your coffee. “I’m done with this. Ready to go.”

“You are going to be great.” She smiled. “if you want another coffee, water or anything else just say the word. Tamara will take you in make-up as me and Sara bring your first look out.”  

“How are you doll?” The make-up girl fusses over you. “You do, you do, you look like a doll baby. We are going to give you a porcelain complexion like you have been in this cold climate. Then rosy up these adorable apple cheeks.”

“Whatever works” You smile. “Sorry I am still a little tan.”

“No need for sorry.” She began to lighten the skin tone on your face first. “People come in with full dark tans for movies like this sometimes. I have no problem with it. You do you. I provide some of that Hollywood magic to create your character.” She rubbed the makeup down your arms next. Then yours legs. We let that sit for a half hour before we apply your rosy cheeks and a dash of eye make up for your first look. By that time, you can try on your first costume.”

“Sounds good.” you strip your coat off hanging it on the back of your seat. The heaters in the room make it warm enough. “May I get a bottled water and a bagel with cream cheese? I haven’t had breakfast yet.”

“Of course, doll.” She goes out coming back minutes later with what you asked for. “I am going to put these plastic gloves on your hands for you to pick things up without getting the makeup everywhere.” She applied the gloves. “Anything else?”

“I’m good.”  

As you ate careful not to get the makeup off your face before it dried you face timed Bill. Your phone was on a standing charger, so you didn’t have to hold it. He was in the same base porcelain color you were. Both of you waiting for it to dry.

“You were a little to tan too, I see.”

“Just a little.” he chuckled. “How are you doing. Did you see the art concept for your character? I hope you will still want to kiss me as this evil looking Santa. We are supposed to have this love that last beyond the grave or some shit like that.”

“I might have to do some heavy duty acting but I think I can pull it off.” You laughed.  

“I have to go. Getting the wig and beard glued on in stages.” Bill told you. “FaceTime again in an hour and you can see the progress.”

“Sure thing, Bill.” You wave on the video. I should be on my second look by then. I have three to try.”

“I just have this one, but it will take a while.” He waved. “Talk to you later.” He hung up and you hung up just as Tamera was coming back.  

She ran her index finger over your forehead. “All dry so we can start phase two.”

She put some basic make-up on you, and you went back to costuming. The first thing you tried was a green elf dress that looked very much like the original one you wore in the first movie with white fur trim. Cute, short and flirty. Thigh high white boots this time. Red and green fleece lined legging and green gloves with the white fur. Your scenes would be outdoors, so they wanted you to be as warm as possible. You stood for the photo with a plague with the movie title.  

The next outfit was very much like the first except it was red. It also included a short cape over your shoulders. Another picture was taken. You thought you would need a coat over each if they were chosen. Something to just keep you warmer when not filming. You filmed indoor for the last movie, so the short skirt was fine. From the script this would be all outdoor shooting mostly when the darkness hit at 2p.m. You shivered just thinking about it.  

The last outfit seemed way more reasonable for the weather in your opinion which didn’t count for much you thought. It was a long velour red dress with long sleeves with some gold designs at the bottom. It had a long red coat with fur white edging. It was held on with a thick black belt. Then a short cape that came up in a hat that matched. They added a curly blond wig, black chunky heeled boots and to top off the whole look a white mask made to look like Snowflakes around your eyes. Tamera darkened your lips in candy apple red lip stick.  

You twirled around smiling loving how it looked and felt. A truly great look for someone so in love with Santa they would do anything to have him back. You felt similar about Bill. A few pictures were taken with the plaque.  

“Back in your regular cloths until the higher ups decide which look they like better.” Carol said as her and her assistant took the costume off you.

“I really hope this one.” You beamed. “It seems it would be warm enough for in outside in cold weather.”  

“Not my call but I agree.” Carol’s assistant carefully hung the outfit. Then she took the photos printed from the digital camera in an envelope to give to the powers that be. “What would you like for lunch? We have subs in turkey, beef and hand with chips or fries. Cold pasta salad. Coffee, tea, water and soft drinks. My assistant will pick them up on her way back.”

“Pasta salad and a caramel latte, please, thank you.” You asked politely.  

As you waited on a comfy plush sofa you checked in on how Bill was doing. Dirty white long hair, beard, and mustache was drying when he answered the phone looking up at you.

“You doing okay Bill?”

“Yeah, I just have to lay back until this dries.”  

You could barely see his smile as he attempted it.

“Then I get to put on the extra tum tum and suit.”

You giggle. “Tum tum, that is so cute. I tried on a few different looks. They are showing some pix to the producers and director.”  

“Yeah, they just got here.” He scratched the corner of his ear where some of glue was dripping. “I’m an executive producer so they put an envelope on the table here. I will have to look when I can sit up. Which outfit did you like best?”

“I loved all of them but since we are shooting outside the longer dress with all the layers is the one I won’t freeze to death in.”

 “I will keep that in mind and pass it along to the others.” He glanced away from the the phone a second and then back. “Michael is coming in to check if this is dry enough. See you soon.”

“Looking forward to it.” You hang up.  

This whole process had already taken four hours. You expected to be in your costume dealing with the pr photos and interviews by now, but it would be another hour before you heard that you would get to wear the longer dress. A half hour after that you were escorted to meet Bill at the door to another building. Joe was there to watching over the situation, so people did not attempt to touch or get to close either of you.

“Just take a breath my favorite elf.” Santa (Bill) suggested. “I’ll tap your back to turn where the cameras are flashing. Smile with your eyes not your mouth. Try to keep your face relaxed.”

You nod fidgeting a little. Your eyes wide. Nervousness runs through your body. You have watched enough of these photo shoots with characters sure but being on this side of it was different. Bill took your hand and kissed your knuckles as Joe opened the door and flashes from cameras started going off.

“Don’t forget to breath.” He murmured before walking with you to your first mark.  

The camera flashes went off as multiple photographers told you to look towards them for a perfect shot. You could not look both ways. You looked up at Bill trying to breath without hyperventilating. He looked to you eyes sparkling. His pinkened lips in a small smile. You smiled back as the cameras flashed.

“Twirl for us (YN)”

Bill twirled you away from him. He moved to another mark. Some cameras followed him. A few stayed on you for separate pictures. You stood in place getting your Barings trying to keep your eyes smiling and face relaxed as Bill told you. All the cameras moved to him. You waited until he held out a hand for you to join him again. He escorted you back through the exit.  

You took a deep breath. “That was a little claustrophobic.”

“It always is.” He hugged you the best he could in his Santa suit. “Are you going to be okay with the interview part of our day? We just sit and answer some of the same questions over and over. I think only five reporters but could be more. I will be right at your side the whole time. “

“I guess after a small break I will be ready.” You walked back to the costuming building where you parted with Bill again to get your costume off.

You glanced through the clothing finding a cashmere sweater to go with the jeans you wore today. It looked better than the bulgy sweatshirt you wore. Tamara toned down your make-up for a natural camera-ready look. Bill had a lot more to deal with to get back to himself, so it took him a bit longer. You waited patiently with a Christmas chocolate chip cookie and bottled water.  

Joe opened the door. “It's time.”

Listen, this is some galaxy brain shit right here. I fucking love the idea of Poly Mystery Inc. I feel like it’s most people’s first poly ship, even if they didn’t know what that was at the time. Anyways, here we go!

Who said “I love you” first

Fred. He wasn’t the first to fall in love, but he was the first to say it. He’s a take charge kind of guy, he’s not going to leave his feelings unaddressed. 

Also he didn’t say it to a specific person. The gang was driving to another haunted location and were having fun, talking and laughing. And he just said “I love you guys,” and he meant it. 

Who would have the other’s picture as their phone background

Each of them has a different combo of the others as their background. Velma has a picture of the other three all asleep. They had just solved a mystery and she was still to amped to fall asleep quickly, so the rest had fallen asleep in a massive cuddle pile. Then Scooby fell asleep spread across all three of them. 

Daphne has a picture of Velma and Fred with their heads together looking at some clues. In the background Shaggy is screaming and pointing over her head. The ghost of the day was right behind her when she took the picture, but it’s still one of her fav pics. 

Fred has a picture of them have they busted the bad guy. One of the cops took the picture. All four of them are posing around the villain of the hour, his mask in Velma’s hand. But none of them were looking at him or the camera. They were all looking at each other, love in their eyes. 

Shaggy’s looks like it could be an instagram shot of a meal he had prepared (right before Scooby ate it) but you can see all around the table are the rest of his lovers. Each with a meal that is uniquely them. All of them just relaxing and having a fun time, far from any ghosts. 

Who leaves notes written in fog on the bathroom mirror

None. Too many times that’s happened on the mysteries they are solving. Scooby and Shaggy will freak out if it happens. Velma will investigate. Fred and Daphne will get annoyed. It’s not as romantic when it’s a constant part of their day job. 

Who buys the other cheesy gifts

Shaggy. It’s part of why he loves traveling with them all so much. At each new location he buys some cheap thing. The van is constantly full of them. Each of the others have one that is super special to them. 

Who initiated the first kiss

In a poly relationship I feel like this is a much more interesting question. 

Velma was the one who initiated her first kiss with each of the others. Daphne first, then Fred, then Shaggy. She’s not always the most connected with feelings. But she knows the evidence. and she knew she wanted to kiss them. So during the course of one mystery she sought them each out to kiss them. Shaggy was last because she wasn’t sure if he liked getting kisses. 

Fred initiated with Daphne and was kissed first by Shaggy. He thought he was hetero for a while, and also thought he and Daphne were monogamous.He realized neither were true when Shaggy kissed him. 

Daphne kissed Shaggy first. She had been kissed by Fred and Velma and she was going to make sure she kissed every one she loved. 

Shaggy is generally not huge on kissing in general, but he is huge on free love and wanted to make sure the other knew he loved them. He’s the one who kisses the least after the first kisses. 

Who kisses the other awake in the morning

Scooby! :) They are dog kisses but kisses all the same. 

Who starts tickle fights

Shaggy and Fred. The girls can get a little intense with their mystery solving (and depression), so the boys try to help them relax. Get them laughing. Velma will try to remain serious if she was in the middle of something, but Daphne will tickle back with a vengeance. 

Who asks who if they can join the other in the shower

(How old are they in canon? Like are they teenagers?) If they are not teenagers then it’s Daphne and Shaggy. They love being in the shower in general and with their partners in particular. It became such a habit that Fred had to put a ban on it at certain locations. They would use up all the hot water, or it would end up with the whole gang trying to shower together. 

Who surprises the other in the middle of the day at work with lunch

Shaggy. Was there ever a doubt here? Food is his life. 

Who was nervous and shy on the first date

Velma. some of her previous relationships had ended sourly, and she really loved the rest of the gang. She didn’t want this relationship to end badly as well. And she really didn’t want to end her the mystery solving. Daphne was the next most nervous. She also didn’t want the relationship to change or grow awkward. They both felt much better after the first few dates. 

Who kills/takes out the spiders

Daphne kills them. Velma captures them and either studies them or releases them outside. Shaggy does not like spiders. and Fred is largely indifferent. 

Who loudly proclaims their love when they’re drunk

Are you kidding? They can’t go out and drink in public, because it just becomes a competition. Who can proclaim their love the loudest. Velma’s caused explosions before to proclaim her love. Daphne has stolen the sound equipment from one of the hauntings to shout her love. They have too much chaotic energy when all together and all drunk.

the fact that he goes from a highly skilled and controlled individual to Italy's greatest fool as soon as Joseph is thrown into the mix. he looks fancy and graceful but he has a mirror specifically to teach at card games! it's the duality of man *insert italian pinched fingers emoji*

Least fav thing about them:

probably the fact that he doesn't get to do shit in part 2 until he goes to fight Whamuu. because of how the genre was structured poor Caesar got completely overshadowed by the protagonist

I love the idea that leaving something behind for someone else to bring into the future is what it means to be human. I've seen a couple stories with this concept and it's close to my heart.

maybe not really a bro relationship but I do love him and Lisa Lisa. he became very close to her and changed deeply due to her teachings. he admires her and she respects him, despite both of them putting up walls for the sake of propriety and self preservation it's clear to me that they cherish each other.

Caejose, man. it was my first Jojo ship and it's still in my top 3, they were just too much for me to handle. I feel like they balance each other out: Joseph would have been an inconsiderate brat all his life without Caesar and he in turn would have been a stuck up dipshit.

nOTP:

I haven't really seen him shipped with anyone beside Jojo (as it should be, the boy was smitten) but maybe Caesar x Suzie Q? it comes up sometimes with the OT3 but I just don't see them working as anything more than friends.

Random headcanon:

Caesar lives with the biggest catholic guilt you could ever imagine. he feels like he lost his chance at Heaven because of all the crimes he committed and the vengeful intent that fuelled his youth. he spends a lot of time thinking about his actions and the impact they have on those around him, the balance of good and evil that he has brought in the world.unrelated but on top of being religious he is also supersticious. he will gladly pet a black cat but then he'd turn around and change path to make sure the cat doesn't cross the street in front of him. just in case.

Unpopular opinion:

the boy ain't from Naples, he feels like a Florence boy to me. just please, imagine the many instances of Caesar's "maremma maiala, Jojo" it would be way too funny. also Joseph would pick up on the fact that Caesar's accent is different from those around him and he'd have a field day with the weird C sounds.

 it’s been a few days, but i’ve calmed down a lil bit (lol jk i’ll never be calm) so here’s my experience meeting tom and jake at ace comic con in chicago! i’ll put it under the read more bc ya girl likes to ramble and it’s long oops

my friend and I get there, we’re all checked in at 10, and we explore for about twenty minutes before we go get in our photo op line. The original line got too long i guess, so one of the workers had us start a new one right next to it. And honestly, even though we were waiting in line for a little over 30 minutes before anything happened, this part was so fun because you could kinda just feel the excitement?? and like you’re surrounded by other fans and it’s just so cool 

we stood next to this mom and daughter and chatted with them for a bit, when LITERALLY like 50 feet in front of us Tom is just WALKING between the booths talking on his phone!! like he was RIGHT THERE. and like this whole time i wasn’t really processing the fact that I was about to meet them, but BOY this made it more real lmao He did this a few times before going back to his own booth BUT LATER like ten minutes before we were supposed to start, JAKE walked by and did like a mini wave i think??? my friend (a huge fan of his lol) missed it bc she was checking her phone rip

so i’m kind of starting to realize all of this is indeed, going to happen, as the first line actually starts moving. some of the workers had started telling us that no romantic poses were allowed (so like, no staring deeply into their eyes, no holding their face, no asking them to hold your face, no proposals, etc.) and I asked if it was okay for my friend and i to hug them for the pose, which the workers basically just said that it should be fine. I mean, we planned on asking tom and jake when we got in there in the first place, but we wanted to make sure that it was even okay to bring up you know? 

finally, our line (the second one lol) starts moving. we put all our stuff that we don’t want in our pic into these TSA-esque bins and then we turn a corner into this really short little hallway and BAM through the small gap in the curtain, i KID YOU NOT, we could literally see them like maybe 10 feet away??? before I went to ace, I read up on what everyone else had said about photo ops, so I knew you saw them before meeting them, but my friend and I were still so shocked lol and I think it was good in a way? bc then we got to process it a lil bit before actually going. ALSO, weirdly, we were both kinda calm?? obviously still nervous, but im genuinely surprised how much i was able to hold it together. it’s almost our turn, we’re next, and I see tom kinda look over at the line and we make EYE CONTACT??? and he smiles a bit before looking ahead again?? 

and then it’s our turn, jake looks over at us and says “hiiii!” with like the nicest smile ever and idk how we survived that moment, but we pulled through. I also could not for the life of me look directly at tom for more than a second so i tried just looking at jake, but then i realized that was also not a good idea?? idk and then me being the slightly more outgoing one (still deathly shy sometimes lmao) i walk up and ask if hugs are okay. Tom opens his arms and says “yeah, of course! Come here, let’s hug it out!” and just PULLS ME IN?? (i may have said “AH okay!” but honestly im not sure what came out of my mouth lmao) like, I didn’t expect him to be awkward about it or anything, but idk i just didn’t expect that?? like an actual, strong hug?? AH 

my friend said that jake did pretty much the same thing, just straight up pulled her in for it lmao It was all so fast, like really really fast, and then we said our thank yous as we were leaving, and my friend and i were both just like “...did that really just happen??” and just kind of laughing to ourselves???

i’d also heard that it was faster than you could expect it to be, but tbh while I would have loved to have more time, I feel like ~10-ish seconds was actually good for me?? Like, if i’d have had anymore time then i probably would have made a fool of myself lmao 

overall, even though I wasn’t at the con for very long (only until about 1 in the afternoon), tom and jake were so lovely and kind. I had a great time, and definitely wanna go to another con in the future, regardless of whether or not one of my favs is there! I also would have really liked to go to some panels, but we just didn’t have time, sadly. But it was so cool being surrounded by people who have the same interests and being able to freak out together :’)

Going out in a different country than my native was scary at the beginning. Although I loved the idea of travelling the world alone, actually doing it was significantly different than imagining it and having fun was quite a challenge. The risks were higher. I am a woman, I live alone and I move on my own, if something happens to me it would take a few hours or days maybe to get my family notified. Of course being 24 years old is socially considered that you’re old enough to take care of yourself, and I did. It’s just I was starting my dreamed adult life at the other end of the continent and with no one to trust near me.

When I first arrived in Los Angeles everything was so big and alive all the time. There was no way I would remain inside my apartment, especially not after working hard during the weekdays. Now there came the thing with making new friends in a country where people were quite the opposite of mine (or so I’d been told). You see, leaving aside the fact that “my people” was emotionally attached to everyone; North Americans weren’t exactly presented to me as… affable. So I had been kind of insecure about how I would become friends with anyone. That’s why I sometimes found it difficult to believe I’d come across someone like David.

Tonight’s bar had been chosen by Dave. The place had great music and, although it looked pretty expensive and kind of exclusive, it seemed a good option for having fun. David’s friends were teasing him by the place selection and I laughed at his failed attempts to defend it as we were all crossing the streets towards the club’s fancy gates. Dave was such an interesting guy, one of those you don’t get to meet and stick with. Don’t get me wrong he is cool, respectful and fun to be around, but I’ve been here barely for a bit longer than a year and since I met him he’s been inviting me to parties and to tag along with his friends all the time. So what I mean when I say he’s one of those persons so good you don’t get to meet and stick with, I mean I don’t know what he’s seen in me to want me in his close circle.

—Guys c’mon the place is okay… give him a break. —my words were followed by a smile.

I immediately felt Dave’s strong dark-skinned arm surrounding my neck and pulling me towards him. He kissed my hair and shouted to the others “I told you this one was a keeper”.

—Well if you keep suggesting this kind of places you’re gonna scare her off! —Elizabeth, one of the girls from the group answered and then different laughs were heard.

I turned my head with my smile still plastered on my face and saw my friend’s face. He was actually pouting. I shook his hair making him push me off so I wouldn’t mess his dreadlocks (even more than they already were).

—They all whine about my places but they all have a pic with their fav stars because of me and my places…

I let out a small laugh and shrugged my shoulders. Dave was such a cool guy and so easy going that somehow he had become quite popular among some famous people living here in LA. Well of course he also had a lot of money.

The group had distanced a few meters from us and when we were getting on the sidewalk he took a good look at my outfit and remained silent. I was observing him with a look that read “what are you going to say?”. He nodded no with his head to look me in the eyes after.

—What? —I couldn’t erase my smile from my face nor from my voice. I felt happy.

He laughed a bit —Nothing. I’m just wondering how long will it take for some guy to take you away from me gurl… Actually I’m kind of surprised it hasn’t happened yet… It’s been months since I met you. 

—Oh stop it now nigga—Nah nah, just promise you won’t forget about me in a week once you got yourself a man!

I hit him slightly on his shoulder and rolled my eyes. —You know perfectly well what I think about the boyfriend thing. —He laughed and walked in front of me and the others to tell the security guard his name. Yes, Dave had a few privileges.

We instantly got inside and the atmosphere changed abruptly. The room was dim and misty with some green and blue lights moving around. The song playing was some tropical electro, chill. Being the drunk asses we were obviously the first thing we did was hurry to the bartender to overload him with orders.

Okay so far the night was great. We’d been drinking at a table until the place was full. It didn’t take much more than an hour after we got in. Every now and then somebody would go greet some acquaintance or famous person and come back. In my case, I only saw some recognizable faces from TV programs or stuff but I couldn't care less honestly. I had enough high society people in my job every weekday so… Dave was the only one who barely spent time with the group as he kept running into friends.

Music and alcohol were starting to get to me, not that I was hard to get into the party mood. My body was asking for some dancing moves. I took one of the girls, called Minette, by her arm and carried us both to the dance floor. We hadn’t been there even for 5 minutes and the music turned a totally different path. When we glanced at the Dj, Minette and I shared a look of understanding.

—He’s unbelievable right? —I nodded with my head as a response and let my latin blood take the lead.

Dave was next to the Dj and apparently, he had asked him for something more… let’s say: Caribbean. Minette had latin blood mixed in her veins too so we didn’t have a problem moving our hips and not giving a shit about the condescending looks we were receiving, especially from other girls upset by some guys staring at us. At some time, a Mexican boy had joined us and we were laughing and dancing a lot, finding ourselves in a state of euphoria. Then the Dj picked a particular song that I couldn’t resist dancing with all my energy and I gave myself to it. My body was then covered by a thin layer of sweat because of the rapid movements. Going up and down, jumping, shaking my hips and my waist had definitely gotten the best of me.A moment later, Dave came next to me laughing and giving me sweet looks.

—C’mon let’s get you some water gurl, I don’t want you dehydrated. —he was leading me towards our table pushing me gently by my lower back so I wouldn’t get lost between so many people. We were almost at the table when we heard someone say ‘Yo! Dave!’ behind us. We both turned to look and saw this lanky guy with at least three chains hanging by his neck.

—Yooooo what’d up man?! —Dave went to hug the guy and his 4 friends sitting next to him. I was just looking from behind but my gaze stopped on one of them. I recognized he was an actor, but I didn’t know his name. I remembered seeing him in a few movies. The guy was cute. White skin, perfect nose, deep bulging almond-shaped brown eyes, plump pink limps… Jeez.

I hadn’t realized I had unconsciously stared and my lungs had stopped working the air out. Maybe it was the music, maybe the alcohol or the extremely delightful sight I had in front of me, or maybe it was all together what was making me sweat even more, my pupils dilated. I felt a rush of heat run down my body. I felt like I needed some fresh air. I was about to leave to look for an open space but unluckily, David had catched me glancing at this guy, which got my friend grabbing me by the arm and posing me in front of him to present me.

This is my friend Virginia. —he gave me a look and smiled mischievously. I greeted with my hand not moving even one step from my place and mumbling a shy “hi” loud enough to be heard and received their greetings along with a nod plus an intense look from the pretty boy. If my eyes were not tricking me, he might even have shown a little sided-smile. Damn I was done.

I just walked away on my heels following the fresh air and getting to a secluded area for smokers. I lit a cigarette and looked up at the sky. I took a deep breath and tried to forget about the gorgeous face I just saw. I knew I had not like, the minimal chance to be with this boy who’s name I didn’t even know, but which also unfortunately excited me even more.

I was finishing my cigarette when a male voice said my name. When I turned to see him I was a bit taken aback.

—Uhm… Hi

—Hey, name is Nick.

I nodded once.

He looked inside the club and then at me again. A smile reached his face before his eyes reached mine.

—Do you have a lighter?

I looked for it in my purse and handed it to him. If I thought I was done before, then with a cig between his lips, looking all bad boy, his eyes so full of mystery and that damned smile…

Out of a sudden my glance flickered over the inside of the club and I swear I saw Dave smiling evilly. I rolled my eyes and signaled my middle finger to him, obviously causing him to laugh out loud. My head turned to give another glimpse. Damn wasn’t he a sexy piece of work…

I was caught by him anew. Once again his dangerous smile making an appearance on his perfect cutis… Unintentionally, my lashes went up slowly. We found ourselves sharing a kind of trance. Our eyes were acting upon themselves, provoking each other. He sucked in his bottom lip between his teeth and slowly let it go. And that’s when I lost it.

—I need a  drink. —I thanked the Universe for walking towards the bar on my own without the need of my brain processing that information because I just didn’t give it time to do so.

Luckily I got across the room hurriedly without interruptions. The guy prepared my drink. At the moment he spotted my glass “Nick” was next to me. My head turned to let my eyeballs get fascinated by this boy.

Excuse me —the bartender nodded before going away to serve someone else —I’m sorry, can I have a vodka shot too, please?

The little glass was in front of me waiting to be downloaded quicker than my previous order. Just after sending a quick peek towards Nick I took the tiny glass and emptied it hastily. I felt his brown eyes on me. I knew he was following my every move. Once I had taken that anxiety off myself I dared to truly look at him and lock eyes. The guy wouldn’t back away.

—Are you being a creep following me over, Nick?

He held his hands up in surrender —Take it easy girl. I just thought we could do something about… this weird chemistry taking place between us —he made a signal moving his right hand between our bodies.

I raised my right eyebrow in a swift. —Oh really? What chemistry are you talking about? —shit I couldn’t even control myself. My body naturally drew itself closer to him. Alcohol and lust were controlling me.

His eyes darted on my tight black dress from bottom to top until he landed on my eyes again. Then he eyed the place as if he was checking for everything to be okay. I didn’t understand this attitude at first but then I remembered he was kinda famous and he probably didn't want anyone knowing about his night with some random girl. I took a few deep sips from my drink closing my eyes, I needed the nerves to disappear and what better than my dear liquid friend to do it.

His right arm signaled a path and I walked in that way. The moment he was behind me his hands fell on my waist to guide me. They weren’t even touching my skin and I already could feel my body reacting to them. We ended up in a darker side of the club. There were some couples making out and smaller groups of people chatting. I laid my back against a cold white wall, letting the wall’s temperature contrast with my own, causing my eyes to close at the good feeling. A second later I opened them and found him right in front of me, close. Even with my high heels he was taller than me so our eyes were almost at the same level. His brown irises with his black dilated pupils made him look like a predator watching over his prey. But here’s the thing, I wasn't a prey. Either this was a predator-predator thing or he was about to become the prey.

Before I could do anything he moved his mouth near my ear so he could speak up and I’d listen over the loud music.

—You’re driving me crazy.

When he backed up, a serious look could be seen on his face. I couldn't help myself. It was my time to smile dangerously. I finished up my drink and left the glass somewhere before flashing my arms at his soft neck and shoulders. His beautiful eyes glanced down at my lips and came back up to my eyes quickly over and over again. His hands were gaining confidence in my waist by each minute that passed. His tongue glided over his pink bottom lip making it look even more desirable. My eyes were glued to that movement and to the wet lips.

I swear I was going to change positions and put him against the wall. I swear I was going to show him I was in charge here but the moment his body came crashing into mine I forgot everything.
