Sometimes i feel bad about swearing at my own eyeball (the left one specifically), Usually when I’m on my own, but seriously! It’s my own eyeball! I know it’s not going to be sad that I yelled at it about my shit depth perception or when i have trouble reading something without my glasses. When I was a kid BOTH of my eyes were off, but the nearsighted one got better on it’s own. Clearly my eyeballs could have gotten their shit together at the same time! Yet they didn’t! Because one eye being good was enough for my other one to just half ass it. People have two eyes for a reason! Yet one of the little shits in my scull can’t carry it’s own fucking weight! This is farsighted eyeball shaming hours

chapter eleven - “there’s a reason behind everything”
delicate masterlist
word count: 2k
synopsis: bucky and y/n endure an event of stressful affliction, followed by something... entrancing.
pairings: bucky barnes x fem!reader
Tumblr media
It had been a few days. There hadn't been any more headaches or vomiting. He was glad that Y/N faced no more impediments after that. However, he can't say the same for himself.
The thrashing was violent, his limbs wrenching, muscles tensing. The sheet beneath him was damp from cold sweat. He hadn't had a nightmare this bad in a while.
Ghastly memories assaulted him, ripping him from reality and forcing him back into agony, torture, and trauma. He could hear his heartbeat in his ears, but he wasn't sure if that was in the nightmare or real life. The lines of reality and dreamscape faded. He couldn't tell if he was awake, and panic metastasized throughout his body.
His arms were strapped down - yes, two of them. He couldn't tell if the other was metal or not; the only thing he could register was that he had zero control. He was exposed and helpless and right back where he was before. He had never gotten out. Hydra still had their chains around his neck, choking the humanity out of him, and violating his autonomy to make a monster out of a man.
He felt like a caged animal. All there existed was terror; he needed to get out and he didn't care if he had to cut off a body part to do it. He jerked his body and pulled his arms as hard as he could. He thrashed and thrashed, desperately trying to somehow find a way out of this hell. He tried to scream but his lungs were frozen, cracked and collapsed from the ice that they defiled him with.
Every nerve in his body was ignited, screeching to try to escape. The only coherent thought in his head was "get out." Get out. Get out. Get out. Get out. Get out. Get out. Get—
The top of his head suddenly burned, pain radiating out in beats, like a heart rate. It was then when he realized he was awake. It was then when he realized he had flung himself up, causing his head to collide with the wooden slats of the top bunk. It was also at this point when he heard her voice.
"Bucky!" her voice shook intensely, worry bubbling from the back of her throat. "Oh my god."
Faintly, the fear in her voice registered somewhere in the back of Bucky's brain, but this had no effect on his entirely overstimulated nervous system. His reaction was visceral; he flinched hard, jolting away from Y/N and falling off the side of the bed. The floor was cold; he could feel it in his hand and knees as he knelt on all fours (all threes?) trying to catch his breath.
Y/N hurried around the bed and immediately dropped to the floor in front of him. Her hands were quivering in front of her, completely unsure of how he would react to being touched.
His eyes were glued to the floor beneath him, but in his peripheral he could see Y/N's legs. Suddenly, she knelt on her hands, trying to be as non-threatening as she could.
"Buck," she whispered. "It was a nightmare. It was just a nightmare. You're here, and you're just fine."
"Fuck," he whispered. His body was on fire; he wished it'd just calm down.
"Your hand's on the floor. What does the floor feel like?" she asked, in an attempt to detour his attention.
"Cold," he strained.
"Cold, yeah," she said. "Do you know why?"
He shook his head.
"It's because it's made of stone. Stone has a high thermal conductivity, which means it allows heat to flow through it quickly. The heat from your skin goes right into it and flows through really fast."
He pivoted his wrist slightly, smoothing the skin on his hand over the stone, feeling the cold, and thinking about what Y/N said.
She smiled slightly. "There's a reason behind everything, you know. An explanation."
"Even for this?" he asked, referencing the panic.
"Especially for this. What are you feeling right now?"
"Can't breathe."
"Yep. Okay, that's normal, too. That's your nervous system. It's really riled up right now because you're stressed. See, your body has a natural response to stress called the fight or flight response. It's supposed to be used in the wild to run from a predator or something, and you can imagine how engaging and intense that would be on your body," her voice was calm and steady. "The only thing is, your body is going through those same functions and feelings when you're not out running from a lion or something, trying to fight for your life. Instead, you're here. You're sitting on the floor and you're here with me. You're not in any immediate danger. We're fine."
He nodded, still looking down, still trying to compose himself. He couldn't look her in the eyes once he realized his face was wet from tears. He was acutely embarrassed. Be that as it may, she was helping. What she said made sense. It helped to understand just what his body was doing rather than simply trying to survive through it.
Suddenly, directly where his eyes were cast, a drop of crimson appeared on the floor; it dripped down from him. It was then when he registered the sharp ache in his nose and the warm, wet feeling around it. Blood.
"Bucky, there's- blood, are you okay?" The calm in her voice was muffled by worry.
"Y-Yeah, I'm... I'm fine. It's just my nose..."
"What can I do?"
"Can you just... keep talking?"
"Yes," she breathed, the calm returning with infinite softness. "So, there are a few divisions of the nervous system. First, you have the central nervous system and the peripheral nervous system. Then, from the peripheral, you have the somatic and autonomic systems. And then from autonomic, you have the sympathetic and parasympathetic systems. Those are what you're feelin' right now. Your sympathetic is what gets you ramped up - you know, increases in heart rate, breathing, sweating. And then your parasympathetic is what calms you down, so slowing your heart rate and breathing and so on. Your sympathetic activated the fight or flight response, and your parasympathetic is trying to rein you back in... I hope that makes sense."
"It does."
"You know the hormone that gets released during all this?"
"Adrenaline's the only one I can think of."
"There you go!" she smiled. "It comes from the adrenal glands."
"Can I get those removed, then?"
"Unfortunately not. Do you still have your tonsils?"
"Nah, got those taken out forever ago."
"Appendix?"
"I think I still have that one?"
She laughed. "Well that's good. The appendix is sorta kinda part of the lymphatic system."
"The what?"
"Er- immune system I mean."
"Never knew that," he commented.
"There's a reason behind everything, you know," she quoted herself endearingly.
"An explanation," he said, completing the sentiment and finally looking up.
Upon seeing his face, Y/N  tried to hide her shock and concern, but he noticed. The apprehension was clear. He didn't want to be pitied; he wished he would've just suffered through this alone in a hole or something.
"There you are," she whispered.
Her voice was so gentle that his chest almost cramped, and then his entire body softened. Never mind. He'd much rather stay.
"Here I am."
She reached forward, ever so delicately, and smoothed the pads of her thumbs along his cheeks, effectively wiping away the tears. Effectively removing the physical aftermath of his pain.
She gave a strained smile. Why did he feel bad?
"Stay here," she instructed before getting up.
He'd do nothing but comply.
She came back with a damp white cloth, returning to her kneeling position in front of him.
"Here," she breathed, putting the cloth up to his nose.
He reached up to grab it, but her hand pulled away.
"I got it," she reassured.
He wasn't about to allow her to clean up his mess. This was pathetic enough as it was; he was pathetic enough as he was. She didn't need to tend to him out of obligation.
He insisted. "No, it's okay. I can do it."
"Bucky, let me help. Please."
"You don't have to. Seriously, it's fine."
"I know I don't have to - I want to. I want to help. Please just let me help."
He found he wasn't very good at saying no to her. He nodded silently, closed his eyes, and leaned his head forward. She got to work, gently dabbing the cloth to his blood stained skin, blotting the red, erasing the damage.
"You know," she said, a slight inflection in her voice as a result of her concentration. "I think you accidentally hit yourself in your sleep. I think that's why you're bleeding. 'Cause your head hit the top bunk, not your face."
"I'm really that talented, huh?"
She snickered. "Very. I don't know if I could manage such a feat."
"No, if you had nightmares, you'd probably just know exactly what each one meant and adjust your subconscious so you weren't afraid anymore."
She leaned back, an amused but shocked expression on her face, eyebrows raised, head tilted. Then she laughed.
"Look at you. Came for my neck with that one."
"I was just joking-"
"I know," she chuckled, leaning back in to continue her diligent work, "don't worry. I thought it was funny... even though it was wrong."
"Wrong?"
"Bucky, I wish I had that much control. I know the brain, but I can't work with mine that well. I'm only good at working with other people's."
He smirked. "Nah, I still think you could."
"Well, you have too much faith in me."
He couldn't think of a response to that. He had become decently distracted by the warmth radiating from her. She was so close. He thought back to what she said about heat conductivity, and briefly wondered how fast her warmth might transfer to him. What would happen if he just... opened his eyes-
Big mistake. He nearly drowned in the color, the depth all consuming. He hadn't noticed her movements stopped. She held the cloth at her chest, waiting. There were mere inches between them.
"Hi," she whispered, the ends of her mouth turning up ever so slightly.
He didn't think his body had ever been so still. He returned the smile all the same.
"Hi."
"What are you thinkin'?"
He could see every detail on her face. It made him equal amounts nervous and giddy. He never really thought about the number of eyelashes an average person had, but he became suddenly interested in counting each one of hers.
"I don't... I don't know..."
"You don't know? Well, it looks like there's at least a couple of hefty thoughts swirlin' around in there."
He did have a thought. Well, more of a question. What would happen if he glanced at her lips? What would happen if he just leaned in?
"Yeah... yeah, there may be a few."
When she didn't respond, her eyes bore into him, and dear lord, he felt bare. Eye contact is a dangerous, dangerous thing. But lovely. Oh, so lovely. And then that thing started to happen again: when time got lazy and the world felt slow. The room was without a sound. The only thing he could hear was his own heartbeat and maybe some of hers, too. It's as if they were in a trance.
Then, that thought returned. What would happen if he just leaned in?  Rationally, he knew he shouldn't try to find the answer to that question. Nonetheless, curiosity beckoned him. Had the space between them become smaller? He couldn't tell. Not even an inch of their skin was touching the other, but every sensation and perception was so overwhelming, he thought his brain might fizzle out.
She was just so, so close. He was frozen, and never wanted to move again. She was so close, until suddenly she wasn't. Until suddenly, the trance stopped, time caught up, and the world began to move once more. Until suddenly, Y/N's serene smile disappeared, and she leaned back, awkwardly clearing her throat.
"Does your nose hurt? I can see if I can come up with a makeshift icepack or something."
"Uh, no. No, it's fine. I don't even feel it..."
He wondered which feeling he was denying.

Strangers (Part 4)
Tumblr media
Summary: Sam has returned into Dean’s life for some reason and the reader is there to try and help Dean through having Sam around again...
Masterlist
Pairing: Doctor!Dean x patient!reader
Word Count: 2,000ish
Warnings: language, mention of surgery/injury
A/N: I hope you enjoy!
____
“Hi,” said Sam, giving you a quick wave. He stared at Dean who was already on his feet. “I need a place to crash for the night. If that’s okay.”
“What happened to the apartment, you were sharing with that girl, Jessica.”
“She died a few years ago,” he said.
“You kill her?” asked Dean. You got up, still holding your box of swiss rolls and Sam frowned. “You’ve been out of touch for three years. It’s not an unreasonable question.”
“I didn’t kill her,” said Sam. “I saw...it was a serial arsonist. I saw who did it and he ran with a bad group. I’ve been in witness-”
“Witness protection? Are you serious? I’m the fucking easter bunny while we’re at it,” said Dean.
“De, I think he’s telling the truth,” you said, nodding towards him. “He’s obviously upset.”
“You’ve been in witness protection? This whole time?”
“Yes,” said Sam. “Things have been happening lately. A lot of things. These guys are no longer a problem so I can come home. Except for the fact I don’t have a home anymore and had to drop out of college.”
“I filed a missing persons report on you.”
“I know.”
“I hung up flyers, search parties, fundraisers.”
“I know.”
“I drove to the middle of nowhere in the middle of the night because I thought I got a tip about you.”
“That was me. I had to relocate after that.”
“I looked for you for so long. Even when mom and dad gave up, I didn’t. There was no foul play but the cops told us it was unlikely we’d ever find you. You probably walked out and didn’t want to be found. I was so angry at you. They told us you were dead cause someone hurt you or you walked away. Those are two very different things,” said Dean. You dropped the box on the couch and grabbed his hand, Dean pinching his nose with his other.
“I can leave if you want,” said Sam.
“Don’t you fucking dare,” said Dean. You rubbed his back and he walked over, giving his brother a hug.
“Finally got a girlfriend?” teased Sam as he returned it.
“You two are gonna get along great. You can swap stories,” laughed Dean. “Oh, I need a drink. Also how’d you get in my house?”
“My handler had a key made. They took it from your locker at the hospital,” he said.
“Lovely.”
“I know it sounds…” said Sam as he glanced at you.
“Crazy is kind of our thing,” you said. “I’m Y/N.”
“You look familiar,” he said.
“My ex boyfriend tried to kill me. With bleach. In my drink.”
“Oh yeah. He was fucking nuts,” said Sam.
“Yup. That’s been our fun for the evening,” you said. “He got out. He’s dead now. It’s fine. Better than fine cause I’m gonna eat a whole box of swiss rolls and not feel bad about that.”
“Yeah, I will get along with you just fine,” said Sam, giving Dean a look. “Not sure about you though. I wanted to-”
“S’okay,” he said. “I’m just...happy you don’t hate me after all.”
“I wanted to call you so many times. It was too dangerous though. I couldn’t put you in that position,” said Sam.
“I’m getting kind of used to that,” said Dean. Sam smiled and you walked over to them both.
“I crashed date night, didn’t I,” he said.
“Just a bit,” said Dean.
“Well I am really happy to meet Dean’s little brother,” you said, giving him a hug. “You don’t mind if Sam hangs out with us, right?”
“No, never. As long as you’re cool with it,” said Dean.
“Of course,” you said.
“I appreciate it but honestly I’m wrecked. I could use with a shower and a bed,” said Sam.
“The guest room is right down the hall,” said Dean, pointing the way. “You hungry?”
“Nah. I’ll keep out of your guys hair,” said Sam. “Thanks.”
“It’s no problem,” said Dean. Sam started to head for the hallway when Dean grabbed his arm. “I’m really happy you’re home, Sammy.”
“Me too.”
He smiled before he left, Dean taking a deep breath as he locked up the front door again.
“So you got a brother,” you said.
“Yeah. I probably should have brought him up at some point,” said Dean. You shrugged and rested your hands on his hips, Dean smiling softly. “I thought he was dead.”
“I’m glad he’s not,” you said. “I’m gonna have to back out on the being roommates thing though.”
“What?” he asked.
“Sam needs it way more than I do. I can stick around my parents until my apartment is ready. Seriously, it’s okay. He’s gonna need a lot of help. Trust me. He’s gonna want you,” you said.
“Are you sure?”
“Yeah. My parents aren’t that bad. Someday we can be roommates though?” you said.
“Okay. I’ll take a raincheck for now,” he smiled.
“Tonight’s not so bad,” you said. He nodded and you pulled him close to your body, Dean’s arms wrapping lazily around you. “You doing okay?”
“I’ve been the happiest I’ve ever been in my life, the most terrified I’ve ever been in my life and the most relieved I’ve ever been in my life tonight. I honestly don’t know where to begin,” said Dean.
“I got a box of chocolate with your name on it that might be a good place to start.”
“That sounds like a good plan,” he said. “You okay too?”
“My night’s ending on a good note. I’m good Dean. Let’s get back to our date. I was in the middle of cuddling you if I remember.”
One Week Later
“Howdy handsome,” you said, the elevator doors at the hospital opening to Dean standing there in his navy scrubs.
“Gorgeous,” he said, giving you a quick kiss as he stepped on. “You already have your follow up with Mace?”
“Yeah. I am progressing well I guess. We’re switching my immunosuppressant to try something that doesn’t make me as tired and won’t make me as susceptible to illness,” you said.
“That’s good. I know you’re on the strong stuff right now. Mace is pretty good about finding the right med combo by the second or third try,” he said. “Transplant meds are tricky.”
“I’ve learned. How’s your day going?” you asked. “Saving lives?”
“Easy going day. Took out some tonsils on a teenager, did an appendectomy on a toddler, did a bone reset on a kid that broke her leg. Nothing they won’t all recover from 100% percent.”
“That sounds good,” you said. “When do you get off?”
He snickered and you whacked his arm.
“Such a boy,” you said.
“I have one more surgery for the day but I’m heading home after that. Our parents are coming into town. They’ve been in Florida cause their vacation plans got screwed up with the pandemic last year so they rescheduled and of course it’s this week and there’s tropical storms so they can’t get a flight out and they finally are getting home today. It’s been a nightmare. I’m supposed to cook dinner so that’ll go wonderfully.”
“You’re a good cook!” you said as the doors opened and you walked with him down the hall. “You don’t give yourself enough credit. They excited to see Sam?”
“Yeah. They feel bad about...they thought he was dead. Like it hasn’t been long enough to legally declare him that way but they were going to. I’ve always had a somewhat tense relationship with my dad. We fought a lot about Sam after he disappeared.”
“I think no matter what happened before, dinner’s gonna go good for you guys tonight,” you said.
“You’re coming right?” he asked.
“You want me to?”
“Yeah. I...you make me feel...safe,” he said as he stopped walking. You smiled and grabbed his hand, lacing your fingers together. “You don’t have-”
“I’d love to. I really like Sam and I want to be there for you. I like that I make you feel safe, makes me feel good,” you said. He rubbed the back of his neck but you caught the smile on his face. You gave him another kiss, a whistle coming from further down the hall.
“Get a room, Winchester,” said a guy as he walked by with a laugh.
“Better be a soundproof room,” you said, the guy stopping in his tracks.
“Okay, I approve of this one,” the guy chuckled. Dean rolled his eyes but he was biting down a laugh.
“Y/N, this is RN. Lafetite or Benny as well call him. He’s Donna’s boyfriend,” said Dean.
“Oh yeah, she was great,” you said. “She removed my appendix.”
“That woman knows her way around a blade,” said Benny. “You had the digestive transplant done a while ago, right?”
“Yeah,” you said, Dean making a face beside you.
“Badass,” said Benny. “I worked with Mace some on you.”
“You’re a surgeon too?” you asked.
“No, no. I’m a surgical nurse,” he said.
“They’re pretty important,” said Dean. “The really good ones could perform minor surgeries themselves like Ben. I keep trying to convince Benny here to go to med school and join the rest of us.”
“Oh you know you’d miss me too much, Deano. You me and Novak are the dream team of pediatrics,” he said.
“Sure we are,” said Dean with a laugh. “Y/N and I were having a little get together on Sunday, watch a little football, food. Round up the usual suspects?”
“I can get the crew together. I’ll bring my beer dip and some of those pretzels. Very easy on the digestive system,” said Benny to you.
“That’s considerate,” you said. “It’s okay. I’m alright with most stuff. I just got to watch the grease a bit.”
“These are really not greasy at all. I’ll give you the recipe sometime,” said Benny as his phone went off. “I think we’re late for pre-op.”
“When are we not?” said Dean. “I’ll see you tonight, sweetheart.”
“See you later, Dean.”
“I’m so sorry I’m late,” said Dean that night as he rushed in the house. You and Sam were working the kitchen, Dean checking the clock. “They’re gonna be here in five minutes.”
“Go wash up. Sam and I can cook a few pieces of chicken and make mashed potatoes,” you said. You were nearly finished anyways, the chicken baking away in the oven. Dean made a thud down the hall but shouted back that he was fine before you heard the bathroom door shut. “He always been a worrier?”
“Pretty much,” said Sam as he got out the plates. “He seems different. Good different. More easy going.”
“It’s all I’ve ever known from him so I don’t have much to go off of,” you said.
“You might have something to do with it,” he said. He smiled and finished up with setting the table. “You’ve never met our parents Dean said.”
“No. We’ve only been together a few months,” you said.
“This’ll be an interesting evening then,” said Sam as the doorbell rang. He suddenly looked nervous and you rubbed a hand up and down his back.
“It’ll be okay,” you said. “Trust me.”
“I see why he likes you,” said Sam. “Here goes nothing.”

P-=
1 - What was the last thing you watched on TV? I was trying to watch the new season of American Horror Story but, this season seems like it's a bit iffy and rough with itself. It surely didn't keep my attention like other seasons have.
2 - Do you have the heating or air conditioning on at the moment? I have a fan on at the moment.
3 - When was the last time you did something to help someone else? I tried to talk to my coworker and help her out some... however, I feel like I may have not been able to help as much as I would have liked. x.x
4 - If you have a job, have you been busier or quieter since the whole COVID thing hit? In the beginning of it... it was really crazy and busy but, then it died down when there was a limit and curfew?! Then after things started opening again... it got crazy busy again but, usually in the winter it's quiet.
5 - Do you spend more time on your own or with others? Are you happy with that? I spend more time on my own with family. I would like to go out and hang out with others eventually. More or less... find a decent significant other. I have been single for five years and it's nice but, I still would like to think as well that there is someone out there for me. x'D I am a weirdo.
6 - Do you know anyone who has been diagnosed with autism? Yeah.
7 - Have you had your wisdom teeth removed? What about your tonsils or your appendix? I have my tonsils and appendix. I am trying to get my wisdom teeth removed because they cause issues for me. So... I have an appointment in September to get a cleaning done but, I really hope they can pull the teeth out as well asap.
8 - Are you scared of needles? Yeah huh.
9 - Do you dress more for comfort, fashion or practicality? I dress more for comfort now a days.
10 - When was the last time you smoked a cigarette? I don't smoke.
11 - Would you rather drink tea, coffee, hot chocolate or water? I should be drinking more water but, I can't go without coffee sadly.
12 - Do you have a lot of ornaments around your house? If I owned my own place... x'D I would definitely have a lot of decor around it. I have as much ornaments and decor I can around my mother's place. I even stick random stuff around her home and car. This morning I made another Parasyte sticker and stuck it on the back of my mother's van. My fave characters... Migi and Shinichi ...my other fave characters from the show are Murano and Ryoko Tamiya (more so because she was a mother... even though she was a parasyte and gave birth to a human child, she protected that human child with her all. You could tell how she changed with time... is what I feel.) Also, Kana I liked her as well.
13 - Do you own more books or DVD’s? I own more books.
14 - How often would you say you took surveys? I really like taking surverys and sharing with others if they are ever curious about me.
15 - Have you ever worn a uniform to school or work? They spoke about having students wear uniforms to school but, it never happened when I was going to school. I do have to wear a uniform at work ... it kind of sucks because I am an ASM and I feel like we should be able to have a bit more freedom in our clothing choice but, good news is that ... they allow us to wear blue jeans now! [[-=
16 - Who was the first person you had a sleepover with? Are you still in touch with that person today? I think the first person that I ever had a sleep over with was my best friend Lariah and we are grown now... so we have a lot that we do in our lives. We very rarely ever get to see one another or speak anymore sadly.
17 - When you were growing up, did you have any friends who were almost like family to you? Most definitely.
18 - Could you cook an entire Christmas or Thanksgiving Dinner entirely on your own with no help from other people or recipe books? For the most part, I think I would be able to do something of the sorts but, I still would need a tad bit of help.
19 - Do you cook from scratch or do you rely more on ready meals or frozen food? I really enjoy cooking from scratch but, because my schedule is so crazy and busy most times... I have to deal with the ready made stuff or frozen. x.x On my days off though... I tend to cook dinner sometimes and make that from scratch.
20 - What’s your favourite type of fast food? Is it something you eat often? I try to stay away from fast food however if I am out and about it's mostly burger king that I am grabbing and eating. x.x
21 - If you’ve been under a lockdown or stay-at-home order, what did you find the most difficult about it? I wish I could be under something of sorts sometimes.. I would have more time to craft. Aha... as long as I am getting paid for it and eventually I could go back to work. I never had a "pause" from work. I even got a letter stating that I was allowed to be out past the state's curfew because of work and being "essential".
22 - Do you still buy or read any magazines? Sometimes. The last two magazines that I brought were a health one and another one about sleep studies. I'm a geek or nerd. x.x
23 - As a teenager, what did you spend most of your pocket money or allowance on? Definitely food.
24 - Do you have much of a sweet tooth? Sometimes. I don't eat a lot of sugar often... but, I do have moments where I eat a lot of gummies and recently I tried chocolate covered roasted coffee beans and they are really yummy too.
25 - Are there any common “popular” foods that you don’t particularly like yourself? Have people ever told you you’re odd/strange for disliking that particular food? Mayo on sand. Peanut Butter and Jelly (ever two blue moons I may eat one of those sand.) I really don't favor any kind of mayo on my sand. unless it's a gas station made sand. it has to have extra oil and vinegar on it with the mayo and not just plain mayo but, for a sand it's just usually meat, cheese and the bread for me. I have been told I am pretty odd for such a thing.
26 - Likewise, are there are any commonly hated foods that you love? I guess frozen tater tots if that counts...haha...
27 - Would you rather eat pizza or pasta? Pizza.
28 - Do you own a lot of store loyalty cards? Nope.
29 - When was the last time you read a newspaper? A while ago.
30 - What kind of noises can you hear around you right now? My family. <3

7. Marriage
“But first,” Mao’s sister clapped her hands together, “I wanna talk weddings some more!”
“Right on!” the badger agreed. He whooped.
“Oh good grief,” Mao rolled his eyes. “Fine. You two can chat with the king about the possibility. And I reiterate. Possibility. When you’re ready to make good on your promise, come find me.”
She clucked her tongue in disapproval. “Fine. Be the usual stick in the mud. Don’t know why I’m surprised.”
He grabbed a few more things off his plate and left.
“So,” she sat back down, “I guess if you favor men, the animals here didn’t have to petition for marriage laws to be amended, huh?”
”Correct.” the lion replied.
“Though some thought I was … ironically … being ‘biased.’ Oh well. Can’t help that. Royal power is absolute, for better or worse. I’ve traveled to other nations and, during debates, have suggested that they not use the term ‘marriage’ as I have. Law is, at least in some peoples’ opinions, supposed to be ‘secular,’ and not ‘religious,’ anyway, so why cling to a specific term that isn’t? Simply afford all the exact same rights to civil unions or domestic partnerships. Or make up a third designation. Much easier to get it passed that way. Bypasses a whole lot of entrenched resistance. People can hash out in their own communities what to do with the non-legal angles and rituals and what to call it. But for a ‘marriage’ certificate? What, after all, is a rhetorical difference, in the end?” the diplomat and statesman snapped his fingers. “And like that, less angst for absolutely everyone involved. It’s not always that easy to reconcile or find middle ground. I can’t think of practically any other issues where simply altering one single word could have that effect. Despite a couple of decades worth of rhetorical experience under my belt.”
He sat back, and interlaced his paws contentedly. “Some countries insisted they were still going to adjust tax breaks because of the very unlikely event of children. Unless surrogates are involved, and properly registered as such, to try to avoid wrangling over child custody. That’s a whole other kettle of fish to get into, obviously.”
She nodded. “Well like Mao said, I’m not here to talk politics. Let’s hear your fantasies about the most important day of your life!”
The badger shook his head. “Well it’s not like that for everyone, but don’t get me wrong, I wanna hear, too!” he said excitedly.
“Erm … “ the lion looked down.
“What’s wrong?” she asked.
“It’s just … I’m more enthusiastic about the idea than Mao, but I’m still a long way off from that myself. So, I don’t want to insult you by making you think I’m further along, just because I have envisioned a marriage … regardless of who the groom is.”
She frowned a little, thinking. “All right then.”
“But I would love to hear about some of your customs, in that event.”
Her face fell some more. “I’m not sure that would be a good idea.”
“Oh?”
“The homeland, though the majority is plenty accepting of pairing in general, has not approved marriage between men,” she said, “so any customs you applied to each other or one of you … might be seen as disrespectful. For example. Would Mao dress as the woman, since he’s chosen to sub? Not only do I think he would never, ever do that …” she looked at the badger for confirmation.
He shook his head, “Oh most definitely not.” He thought for a second. “Maybe that’s why he got up out of here, for that matter. He thought we were gonna suggest doing that. We’ve been to weddings like that. Again, a little like misgendering, no? Even in the rare cases where he gets a mind for it, he’s not at all like a typical sub.”
The badger paused.
“He doesn’t really fit in when I would hang out with other subs. One panda I met just could not wrap his mind around Mao. It was kinda funny. Irritating for him, though. I would be totally down for dressing like the female counterpart in a wedding, if it were me. I’ve pictured it both ways. Maybe even a costume change in the middle?” he waggled his eyebrows. “Or whatever my partner wanted? If a polar bear gave me any direction I’d melt under his strong paw,” his gaze unfocused, and he hummed appreciatively. “Tuxedo? Coming right up. What color? What style? White wool tunic and stole, as is customary for you big guy? I’ll match you! Usus? My Ursus. My dear ursine. Coemptio? Confarreati? Gown? Dress? You got it, my bae bear. I’m male, sure, but a lot more loosey-goosey in that way. But. It’s not me.”
He sighed romantically.
“If I understand Mao,” the lion said slowly, “in general, he’s less sentimental, at the very least in expression, so maybe it’s simply that he doesn’t get as wrapped up in it as you or I would.”
The badger shrugged.
“Also, women tend to get more excited about wedding planning. Not a hard and fast rule of course, but I think we’ve established that you and I have a lot more in common with women, so it makes sense we’d be more enamored, even if it didn’t necessarily need to be that way.”
The badger slapped his forehead. “Oh yeah, wow. How could I not think of that!” He put his paw down and gestured towards her. “I mean this whole conversation we've had a vibe and Mao has seemed the odd one out, gender wise, but I didn’t consider that.”
The badger went on, “Even without a wedding on the table, which is usually headed up by women in this part of the world, it’s often awkward in the first place for a typical guy to be in a room with all women and vice versa … so this visit has kinda been like that for him, I think. I mean, Mao’s always eager enough to go to a wedding, excited about hitting on and dancing with some ladies, and all, but that doesn’t mean he’d necessarily enjoy planning one. He might even leave it all up to you even if he was totally ready for it!”
The three femme animals spent the next few hours discussing flower arrangements, color palettes, the band of tolerant aristocracy he would invite, and who among the clan would approve enough to come. That was hard for the sister to get through, as she thought of those she loved who would refuse to give their blessing and ‘miss all the fun.’
8. Self-Acceptance
Mao threw up his hands in exasperation. “This was different than anything anybody knew of. Other clans’ elders who had wielders hurt badly were brought in to consult. We wielders can be slammed around by dragons, can be thrown into the ground and make craters, and walk away. With lesser wielders, bruises could be shrugged off and healed. But SOMEHOW, the universe had, like a homing pigeon bent on mouse’s blood, found one little chink in our armor. . . . Delicate tails aren’t resistant enough to damage to withstand direct crush force. Some of the visiting canine elders spoke of a time when groups of semi-sapient non-magical hunting dogs had their flowing, floppy ears or long tails surgically cropped to keep them from injuring themselves on hunts. To potentially avoid something like this happening again … by cave-ins, like mine, by boulders hurled by some types of dragons, even just being stepped on by a dragon big enough …  Should all wielder animals, intending to fight these beasts … should every species with long tails start doing this removal with our children, they asked? With consent, of course. Like removing tonsils or primates removing the appendix? Lizards probably couldn’t do it, because their slanted gait was too dependent and their tails too heavy. So maybe just the tips? Surely the thicker parts of their tails withstand something like this? They asked. The elders of felines and canines and rodents and otters … the later they waited to dock tails in a trainee’s life, the more they would have to adjust to the missing counterbalance just as I was. They swarmed me and questioned me about it relentlessly. They were asking among themselves … What age would this terrible offered choice be appropriate?”
His green eyes widened in horror at these questions. As if he needed any more psychological stress after being temporarily crippled, he seemed to have altered the entire course of history with the way clans viewed preparation for wielder heroes.
“Inwardly, I felt like …” he once again tried to force the words out he had started before. “I felt like I was causing an implosion of the whole clan. The tranquil meditation spaces were overrun with visitors. Children still hid from me. Our elders argued over whether they should move me for the duration of my recovery, from the clan’s circle. They argued over what to do about the little ones. But didn’t I deserve to feel safe, too? Of course I was ripping everyone apart! It was what always happened when I was around! When we were all younger, and my sisters occasionally came to my defense from one another or dad, I felt it was somehow my fault they argued, too.”
Even if the elders made these new procedures for children voluntary, he would still be virtually ‘responsible’ for possibly unneeded selective surgical alteration of innocents.
“Blue says that’s common, for bullied children to feel like it’s their fault.”
He looked towards the door, probably thinking of the dog’s unruffled voice of reason.
“I try to listen to him. I try to like myself. B-but I … it seemed l-like my family w-was disintegrating because of m-m-me. And my stupid ‘mistake.’ The whole world of wielders, even! Sometimes it still does, when they visit …! Arguing over father’s treatment of me. Remember when my sister said she wasn’t sure starting arguments over lesser wielders was worth unsettling future heroes? Now imagine what I was thinking when the little ones didn’t feel safe in the circle of the clan because of me. I was drowning in self-blame and the only way I felt I could escape it was to work harder, push myself more, and get away from there.”
Could Blue even help him out of this? The lion pictured him like a seeing eye dog this time, trying for all the world to lead the black cat out of such darkness.
Bonus:
From my second story, Outnumbered. Tanya sashayed around the red-caped cat. “Hello Mittens.” “Tanya I swear if you do not stop calling me that, I’m going to use the wrong pronouns for you,” the cat threatened. “Touchy, touchy,” the tanuki tutted teasingly, but her normally chipper attitude got a dent in it. “As if that’s an even trade, anyway.” The masculine magic cat said gruffly, “Maybe not. But I’m tired of you mocking me without consequences. Just because that’s the only thing that ever gets under your skin is no fault of mine. Perky little miss.” She rolled her eyes. “So, you try to make gendering me correctly even sound derogatory. No wonder I broke up with you.” The cat’s fists tightened, but he spoke cooly. “If you can’t handle all this. I’ll just find someone who can.”
“Like the king you’re serving as a bodyguard to?” the fox-like animal said in a silken tone. “The only kind of lion with no birth mane. Are you a chaser, you dog?” “First off. No. How dare you. Targeting gender non-conforming animals may not be officially dishonorable, but as a concept, it is,” the samurai bristled, “We’re not involved, and we’re never going to be. We’re not attracted to each other, as my nose could clearly tell if he was. Second of all. Since when do you have something against dogs?” “It’s an expression.” “An expression that’s derogatory towards dogs,” the cat sneered. “I can’t imagine the blue therapist dog could be less like that. It’s like ‘sexist pig.’ The yellow pig back in Pure Heart would be crushed if he ever heard someone utter it. Yet outside that nice little paradise, it’s a common saying. King Snugglemagne is having to adjust mightily to the outside world. You may be used to it, steeped in it, but for magic’s sake, stop teasing him about it.” “Oh, a king can’t take a little hardship?” she said lazily. “Of course not, he’s been ensconced in his fancy-pants palace. Now that he has an idea of how it is for everyone else, he crumples at the slightest trouble. Sorry I can’t muster up enough energy to care.” “You should care. Given that he has the same problems you do.” “With pronouns? Puh. Since I’m a roaming outlaw,” the orange animal said flouncily, “I don’t expect either other crooks or enforcers I encounter to respect that my gender doesn’t match my body’s smell. The former doesn’t even respect the law, so why should I take that personally? And the latter are more focused on getting me behind bars. So, no, not my problem. Too much of a bother.” “If you settled down, and got a respectable job,” the cat pointed out, “Established yourself as a constant presence, people would probably collectively accept you.” She laughed derisively. “Oh no, I value my freedom far more than that, Mi-” she swallowed back the nickname. He laughed just as derisively. “I see you do value my word on the matter, though,” he said suggestively. “Are you just not as tough as you make out, or do you still harbor some feelings for me, my sweet little illusionist?”
She opened her mouth, but then shut it again.
“You slippery mirage master,” he said “you do, don’t you?”
He paused. “Hm. ‘Master,’ maybe I should say ‘Mistress’?” he amended. “There’s . . . really no good choice there,” she chuckled hesitantly. “There are ‘Head Mistresses’ at some schools in Snugglemagne’s kingdom,” the cat pointed out.
“Yes but . . . still has connotations. I don’t break the law that way,” she said, normally carefree attitude wobbling. “Even I have standards.”
“Hasn't stopped you from dangling the offer to get what you want,” he said.
She blushed.
“Yeah, word gets around,” he went on blithely as she uncomfortably gripped one of her arms. “Don't know why I should be surprised that playing with hearts isn't beneath you. But more to the point. I know you’re ultimately reasonably principled in that arena, if really flirty. You ever want to get back together, babe, the invitation is open,” he winked.
“And endure your jealous behavior again? I think not. I’ll file that away with other useless knowledge,” she said icily.
“Oh that’s not like you,” he said in a low baritone. “You’re sweet to everyone, even if they can’t catch the mocking tone sometimes.” “Not everyone’s as smart as you, cupcake.” He looked caught off guard by the compliment. “She brushed her fingers under his chin. “I guess you’ll just have to miss me.”
She somersaulted away from him, waving goodbye and blowing a kiss.  He said under his breath, “As if I’d ever misgender you. You may play a lot of mind games, love, but you didn’t catch that bluff.”

1058.
1 - What was the last thing you watched on TV? >> The last TV show I watched was Blackish.
2 - Do you have the heating or air conditioning on at the moment? >> Nope. Not quite cold enough to start putting the heat on. Probably closer to the beginning of December is when we’ll start needing it (unless this strange mild trend continues even longer than I’d predict...).
3 - When was the last time you did something to help someone else? >> I don’t remember.
4 - If you have a job, have you been busier or quieter since the whole COVID thing hit? >> ---
5 - Do you spend more time on your own or with others? Are you happy with that? >> I spend most of my time alone, aside from when Sparrow is home. I’m mostly okay with it because I’ve learned to be okay with it (and because I have a really hard time being wholly myself around other people, which makes solitude a relief). Also, I’m plural, so I’m never really alone-alone.
6 - Do you know anyone who has been diagnosed with autism? >> I know quite a few people who have.
7 - Have you had your wisdom teeth removed? What about your tonsils or your appendix? >> No. The dentist keeps recommending having them pulled, but I’m ignoring him for now because 1) oral surgery costs money and 2) oral surgery is anxiety-inducing and painful. If it’s not immediately necessary, then I’m going to put it off until it is. I’ve never had my tonsils or appendix removed.
8 - Are you scared of needles? >> No.
9 - Do you dress more for comfort, fashion or practicality? >> I dress for all of the above. I refuse to compromise on any of those factors, which is partly why I have so few kinds of clothes.
10 - When was the last time you smoked a cigarette? >> I don’t remember.
11 - Would you rather drink tea, coffee, hot chocolate or water? >> Tea.
12 - Do you have a lot of ornaments around your house? >> I don’t know? Like, there’s decorative stuff, sure, but I don’t know what constitutes “a lot” of it.
13 - Do you own more books or DVD’s? >> I don’t own any DVDs, so.
14 - How often would you say you took surveys? >> A few times a week, at least.
15 - Have you ever worn a uniform to school or work? >> When I was a child.
16 - Who was the first person you had a sleepover with? Are you still in touch with that person today? >> ---
17 - When you were growing up, did you have any friends who were almost like family to you? >> No. My family wasn’t even like family to me.
18 - Could you cook an entire Christmas or Thanksgiving Dinner entirely on your own with no help from other people or recipe books? >> No. And even if I could, we don’t have that kind of space or appliance availability in this apartment.
19 - Do you cook from scratch or do you rely more on ready meals or frozen food? >> A mixture of both.
20 - What’s your favourite type of fast food? Is it something you eat often? >> I don’t really have a favourite type of fast food. I mostly don’t eat it. Popeye’s sandwiches are pretty good, though.
21 - If you’ve been under a lockdown or stay-at-home order, what did you find the most difficult about it? >> The inability to just go places, I guess. I miss bars.
22 - Do you still buy or read any magazines? >> Not usually.
23 - As a teenager, what did you spend most of your pocket money or allowance on? >> ---
24 - Do you have much of a sweet tooth? >> No, I don’t. I like some sweet things like roasted carrots (they’re so sweet! but good!) and apples and stuff, but I also don’t eat them alone -- I have to have something to balance out the sweetness.
25 - Are there any common “popular” foods that you don’t particularly like yourself? Have people ever told you you’re odd/strange for disliking that particular food? >> Most of them, it seems. I don’t like the majority of common American snack foods (chips, Cheetos, Little Debbie snacks, stuff like that), I don’t like most chocolate, I don’t like carb-loading, I eat far less meat than the average omnivore, etc. People don’t usually tell me I’m strange because of my eating habits, which is good, because I don’t go around telling other people they’re strange for what they like to eat. I’d definitely like to be afforded that same respect.
26 - Likewise, are there are any commonly hated foods that you love? >> A lot of people I’ve known seem to dislike at least some vegetables, if not most/all. Which is wild to me! Veggies are so good!
27 - Would you rather eat pizza or pasta? >> Pizza. I’ve often said that pizza is the perfect food.
28 - Do you own a lot of store loyalty cards? >> Not a lot. Sparrow has a few for the stores we visit most often.
29 - When was the last time you read a newspaper? >> I don’t remember the last time I even saw a newspaper.
30 - What kind of noises can you hear around you right now? >> I only hear the MyNoise preset I’m playing through my headphones right now. As it should be.

NCT 127 + U Reaction : You Being Under Anesthesia and They Tell You Things They’ve Never Told You Before
a/n: this was requested and took really long but it was so fun to write because I’ve never written a reaction before so yay! Anyway....I included 127, U, and Kun in this reaction so have fun. Hope you guys like it :D
Genre : Flufffffff x10
below the cut because I’m nice like that ;)
Taeil
I could definitely see him being one of the more emotional ones whenever you go to get your wisdom teeth out
He’s definitely big worried about you
I don’t think he would really express it to you though
HOWEVER
Don’t think that he won’t be taking funny pictures of you during your procedure to blackmail you with later
Once you were completely under though he’d turn into a big softie
Would wait in the waiting room all night just to make sure you’re okay
Constantly talking to the doctors to make sure everything was going according to plan
“How did I get so lucky?”
“You’re so beautiful, Y/N”
Johnny
Today was the day you got the procedure done to donate your kidney
He comes to the hospital with you (of courseee)
Brings hella snacks for both of you
but like
Not healthy snacks. Probably a lot of chocolate.
Watches YouTube videos with you on his phone while you wait
Once you get called he gets a little nervous
The entire time the procedure is being done he’s like pacing in the waiting room
Doing that knee bounce thingy people do when they’re anxious
After the procedure is done and you’re in your room, the biggest smile erupts on his face
“I totally knew you’d be okay babe”
“You’re the strongest person I know”
Taeyong
first off
big baby 1/4
He was already hella concerned when you broke your leg but when he found out you’d have to get operated on
This boyyyyy was freakin out
I definitely see him being one of the most anxious ones
Highkey tries to teach you a choreo he thought of while you’re in the waiting room to calm his nerves
“Oh right, your leg is broken. Sorry babe. Let’s find something else to do then”
Doesn’t want to be separated from you when they take you back
After the operation they tell him he can go back to your room and he could not get their faster
Definitely has a whole conversation with you while you’re still under
“Hurry up and get back to me”
“I love you too much”
Yuta
Why do I picture him being so chill the whole time
Like not in the way that he doesn’t care
but
He trusts you’re in good hands with the doctors
You’re definitely more nervous than he is
“Babe, you’re just getting your wisdom teeth out, it’ll be okay.”
Plays a game on his phone while your waiting
Or reads one of those magazines they always leave out for patients
Buys flowers after they take you back
I feel like without a doubt he spent at LEAST 15 minutes in the hospital gift shop picking out what kind of flowers to get you
Probably asks the people working there for advice too
The procedure didn’t take too long so he was able to see you pretty soon, even though you were still under
“See babe I told you everything was going to go good”
“You’re so beautiful when you sleep”
Kun
Very similar to Johnny imo
Plays with your hair while you’re in the waiting room
“You don’t need your tonsils anyway”
This makes me soft
Tells you fuckin dad jokes to calm you down like the nerd he is
ALSO
FLOWERSS
this boy will go all out because he really loves your ass
Expect your room to smell good af after you get up
Why do I feel like he’d order take out for you before you wake up so it’s ready for you when you come to
ik thats like kInDa weird but I just feel that in my soul so
ANYWAY
Lowkey wants to cuddle you the whole time you’re under
“I’ll never leave your side”
“You’re so adorable like this”
Doyoung
Alright this is my bias y’all sooo
I definitely feel like he’s kind of similar to Yuta
a LOT more chill than some of the other members
“I’ll see you in a bit”
“What do you want to eat after this?”
Lots of hugs before you go back
Roams the gift shop while he waits
Probably gets you some small little thing that made him think of you
“She’ll like this”
Sings to you in your room while you’re still asleep
WOW im in love with this boy
Checks in with the doctor to make sure things are going well
Doesn’t leave your side once they move you into your room
Not in the way that he is worried, he just likes being close to you
Treats you to dinner after you’re released
“I never knew I could care about someone so much”
“Take your time babe, I have all day”
Ten
veryyyyy touchy
big baby 2/4
not really worried at all though
Will be all over you before you go back
Just very affectionate in general, regardless of the situation
When you told him you had to get your appendix taken out he was like “okay, lets go get that fixed”
brings snacks like Johnny
When it’s time for you to go back he holds your hand and tells you everything is gonna be okay
Brings you food
Updates the members on your condition (idk that’s just something I think he’d do)
Probably ends up falling asleep in the waiting room tbh
“Are you really under anesthesia or are you just messing with me?”
“I’ll always take care of you”
Jaehyun
wow we love ANOTHER bias
Okay so
Brings his airpods and a speaker so yall can listen to music together while you wait
this is so cute i’m literally crying
why do I see him packing a lunch for the both of you
Does the MOST
“Hurry, you have to eat this before they take your wisdom teeth out”
Big softie
A tiny bit concerned, but knows you’ll be fine
Can’t wait for the cuddles that he’ll give you after your release
repeat after me… TAKES. CARE. OF. YOU.
Most likely ends up feeding you at home too because you’re a mess and can’t do anything for yourself
Once they let him back to see you though he just melts
So proud of you tbh (even though you literally didn’t do anything”
“That’s my baby”
“I can’t wait to marry you”
Winwin
big baby 3/4
Would quite literally do anything for you
Lots of backhugs and reassurance
Jokes around with you to calm you down
definitely shows you memes from the NCT group chat to cheer you up
“I’ll be right here the whole time, don’t worry”
Speaks Mandarin for you because you find it relaxing
lil cuddles in the waiting room
I CANNOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH
Y’all have the softest relationship
Expect this boy to literally never leave your side during recovery
Won’t let you do anything but rest because his baby has to be in top condition
As soon as he sees you after the operation he gets a little emotional
Most likely just has a regular convo with you while you’re under
“What do you think about this outfit, Y/N?”
“Yeah, I don’t really like it that much either”
“You’re the most amazing person I’ve ever met”
“I can’t wait to grow old with you”
Jungwoo
big baby 4/4
a lot like Taeyong tbh
aegyo to make you feel better
For some reason I don’t see him worrying too much though
Like he loves you soooo much and you will never question that but he’s just chillin once you go back
Misses your presence once he’s alone in the waiting room
“How long does it take to take an appendix out?”
Probably is wayyy too into a game on his phone when the doctor comes to tell him that he can go back
“Aw baby, you look so cuteee”
“I just want to hug you until you’re better”
Lucas
honestly
big meme boi
Roasts the shit out of you for having to have your wisdom teeth out
You try and explain to him that it’s literally a common thing but nope
he still make fun
“Don’t worry, even though your body is failing our relationship isn’t”
Asks the doctors soooo many times how much longer it is going to take
Just because he can’t wait to show you some meme he found or tell you some joke he made
Don’t mistake his teasing though because this boy will wait all day in that hospital for you
Goes to get food while he waits
Forgets to get you something and gets mad at himself for being so wreckless
Flowerssss 3.0
idk I just love the idea of Lucas getting you flowers leave me alone
not like this big bouquet tho, very simple. Like maybe a couple roses
Playfully sings to you while he waits for you to wake up
“My ladyYyYyY”
sorry y’all i had to
“I love you so much it hurts”
“I can’t focus when you’re around”
Mark
Jaehyun 2.0 tbh
makes you listen to this new song he found on SoundCloud (yikess we love him tho)
probably raps to it because we been knew he’s a dork
sings to you if you want him to
big cuddler tbh
worries when they take you back
just doesn’t want to be away from you in general
Likes his space but also whiny when he’s in the mood for some time with you
wow i’m really whipped for him, let’s continue
I don’t really see him buying flowers for you but I think he’d roam the gift shop for a trinket you would like
Runs home to get one of your stuffed animals or something to remind you of home and make you feel comfortable
When they let him see you he gets super excited
“Hey baby, long time no see”
“I’m so in love with you”
Haechan
This mans gonna tease you the wholeeee time
Kinda like Lucas but more like a loving tease
Pinches your cheeks a LOT
“My baby is getting surgery todayy”
Your procedure is like a whole event tbh
Gotta pack a lunch
Some snacks for AFTER lunch
lots of drinks
pillows maybe a blanket
Very extra in general
Also very worried when they take you back
Texts the members about how worried he is
“I just love her so much, I don’t want anything bad to happen to her”
Is super relieved when he gets to see you again
“Hello my angel”
“I think i’m falling in love with you”

survey by lets-make-surveys
1 - What was the last thing you watched on TV? The last TV show I watched was Friends, but the last thing I saw on TV was the evening news, as is always our companion when having dinner.
2 - Do you have the heating or air conditioning on at the moment? I have the fan on, like always. I just turn on the aircon in the evening because I want to be comfortable after a long day and when trying to fall asleep.
3 - When was the last time you did something to help someone else? Andi was having a dilemma about an already-secure job offer for a position they don’t 100% like vs. a job they know they would enjoy a lot more but isn’t guaranteed at all. I helped weigh out the pros and cons with them, but I didn’t necessarily stick to a position as I didn’t want to dictate a choice for them.
4 - If you have a job, have you been busier or quieter since the whole COVID thing hit? I was a student, then was unemployed, then got hired throughout this COVID fiasco so far. For the first two, life had been quiet for me and I really hated feeling like having no contribution at home. My plate is definitely a lot fuller now and I’m glad I have things to do and earn for myself while doing so.
5 - Do you spend more time on your own or with others? Are you happy with that? On my own. I think it’s best for me at the moment.
6 - Do you know anyone who has been diagnosed with autism? Yes.
7 - Have you had your wisdom teeth removed? What about your tonsils or your appendix? None of these. I’ve had a tooth removed, but it wasn’t a wisdom tooth.
8 - Are you scared of needles? Very. I hate most sharp things, and I am an embarrassment whenever I’m at the hospital and need to be pricked with something.
9 - Do you dress more for comfort, fashion or practicality? I try to strike a balance between comfort and fashion, but sometimes I’ll prioritize comfort and sometimes I’ll prioritize fashion. But practicality is definitely barely in my criteria when picking outfits.
10 - When was the last time you smoked a cigarette? I think it may have been February. I only smoke with other people and I’ve never bought my own pack.
11 - Would you rather drink tea, coffee, hot chocolate or water? In the grand scheme of things, water. But right now, a hot chocolate sounds heavenly.
12 - Do you have a lot of ornaments around your house? Yes. We also have our Christmas tree already up, so that has also boosted the amount of ornaments we have.
13 - Do you own more books or DVD’s? Books. While I have a number of DVDs, I never really an avid collector of them. My dad introduced me to torrent websites at a young age so that’s how I’ve been getting movies for the longest time.
14 - How often would you say you took surveys? Throughout the quarantine I had taken surveys daily. But with me now having work and usually being too exhausted by the end of the day, I think I’ll be back to taking surveys only on weekends now like how it was when I was in school.
15 - Have you ever worn a uniform to school or work? Yes, I had to wear a uniform in my old school.
16 - Who was the first person you had a sleepover with? Are you still in touch with that person today? It would have to be either Angela or Gabie. Yes, I still talk to both.
17 - When you were growing up, did you have any friends who were almost like family to you? Katreen’s and Angela’s families were second families to me. For a time back in grade school, Katreen’s mom actually used to pick me up alongside Katreen every Friday and then I would stay at their place until around 9 PM, when my mom would get back from work and pick me up. They did such a wonderful job making me feel like family, and I hope they’re all doing well today.
18 - Could you cook an entire Christmas or Thanksgiving Dinner entirely on your own with no help from other people or recipe books? Yes but it would not be edible.
19 - Do you cook from scratch or do you rely more on ready meals or frozen food? I rely on people in my family who can actualy cook, ha.
20 - What’s your favourite type of fast food? Is it something you eat often? KFC would have to be my favorite. Those 11 herbs and spices don’t fuck around, man. It’s not the cheapest of fast food options, so I don’t get to have it a lot and it’s usually tradition for me to get KFC only when I feel like I deserve a reward for an accomplishment or after a grueling week.
21 - If you’ve been under a lockdown or stay-at-home order, what did you find the most difficult about it? Not having been able to see my friends, go out as a group, and stay out late. Also, not getting a normal college graduation and being unable to spend my last semester as a college student just being a dumb college student doing dumb college student things.
22 - Do you still buy or read any magazines? I’ll sometimes read the online versions of magazines especially if one of them comes out with a compelling article, but I don’t follow any of them religiously.
23 - As a teenager, what did you spend most of your pocket money or allowance on? I went out with friends on the weekends, so my savings mostly went to food and Uber (back when we still had Uber, and back when none of us could drive yet).
24 - Do you have much of a sweet tooth? I have my moods for sure, but I love savory a lot more.
25 - Are there any common “popular” foods that you don’t particularly like yourself? Have people ever told you you’re odd/strange for disliking that particular food? Fruits. I get judged for it all the time, but I honestly live for the reactions hahaha. To this day it’s still my go-to fact to say whenever I have to share something about myself. There’s also sinigang, but that is such a universally-loved food and is such a huge source of pride for Filipinos that I just keep it to myself because people get genuinely annoyed/offended when they hear that I don’t like sinigang LOL
26 - Likewise, are there are any commonly hated foods that you love? BALUT
27 - Would you rather eat pizza or pasta? Pizza. Easy.
28 - Do you own a lot of store loyalty cards? I just have the one for my gas station, so no.
29 - When was the last time you read a newspaper? I had to view a newspaper article for work yesterday, but I have not read a full newspaper in years.
30 - What kind of noises can you hear around you right now? There’s the fan in my room and construction outside our house.
--
survey by lets-make-surveys
1 - Do you have a car? How long have you had it and how much did it cost? Yeah but it’s technically not mine; my parents made the purchase and they gave it to me as a high school graduation present. They’re also the ones who take care of and pay for its maintenance, like taking it to oil changes; so literally my only contribution has been to drive it HAHAHA. I’ve been driving it since 2016 and I’m pretty sure it cost them less than a million bucks. It was probably around P800,000–900,000.
2 - Who was the last person to send you a message on Facebook? Andi was checking up on how I’ve been. I appreciated that.
3 - What did you have for breakfast this morning? I haven’t had it yet but I will probably skip it. I might make myself coffee, though.
4 - Do you have any scented candles lit at the moment? I never have any scented candles.
5 - When was the last time you left your house? When will be the next time you go out? Yesterday afternoon. There was nothing left to do for work and my superiors hadn’t been asking me to do any tasks anymore, so I went out to get myself Starbucks before my shift was actually over, haha oops. I might be going out next Tuesday to pick up my new card from the bank.
6 - Does anyone in real life follow your survey blog? If so, does it make you think twice about some of your answers? If not, are you ever paranoid that someone will find your blog and read your answers? No. My sister has been wanting to make a survey blog but she just never got around to making it because she thinks she’ll end up being inactive; but that’s about it on the irl people front. If she ever makes one, I’d prefer we didn’t follow one another as doing so would make things awkward.
7 - When was the last time someone stopped talking to you? Have you made up with that person since? Gabie doesn’t speak with me regularly anymore. We’re not on bad terms so there’s nothing to make up, but she has told me it’s out of shame that she doesn’t initiate conversations with me these days.
8 - Who was the last person you argued or bickered with? I haven’t had an argument with anyone in a while.
9 - Do you have anything planned for the rest of the day? If you’re about to go to bed, what are your plans for tomorrow? Catch up on surveys as I haven’t done them all week, anddddd figure out what to do with my embroidery kit as I’ve run out of the provided thread :(
10 - Did you have any e-mails in your inbox the last time you checked? It’s the weekend so no, I haven’t received anything new.
11 - What time did you wake up this morning? Did you have to set an alarm or did you wake up naturally? It was 7:08 AM when I had checked. I just woke up naturally.
12 - When was the last time it snowed where you live? Probably when it was still a part of Pangaea or something. We don’t get snow on this side of the world and the nearest place that does is probably like South Korea, which is not near us at all.
13 - Does it bother you if you’re wearing odd socks? Like, mismatched ones? No, I find it cute actually.
14 - Is there anything small that bothers you way more than it should? Right now. I had sent out an event invite to certain media last Thursday for work, and one of them replied only by 6 PM last night. I only saw it by 9:30 and replied, then she got back with a question by around 9:50 PM, and at that point I decided against replying because it was already nearing 10 PM and I didn’t want to be rude. I want to reply today but it’s the weekend and I don’t wanna be the jerk that brings up work on the weekend, but I also don’t want to leave her hanging because I had technically cut our conversation short.
OK I spent the next 30 minutes thinking about it and I ended up replying hahaha. It just didn’t sit well with me to blow her off for the weekend when her last message was a question for me. So I answered her for her clarification, but I just made sure to let her know there’s no pressure for her to get back to me this weekend.
15 - Would you rather read a book, watch a film or play a video game? Watch someone play a video game, tbh.
16 - Why did you last attend a doctors’ appointment? Because my fever wasn’t going away and I wanted to get rid of it so bad.
17 - Who was the last person you spoke to on the phone? The person from Pizza Hut who took my order, I think? lol
18 - How many different colours have you dyed your hair over the years? is your hair your natural colour at the moment? I’ve never had it dyed, so it has always been black.
19 - Do you prefer sweet or savoury snacks? I have moods for both, but as a whole I think I’d go for savory.
20 - When was the last time you got up to use the bathroom? A couple of hours ago.
21 - Do you spend more money on shoes or clothes? I spend more often on clothes but they aren’t always necessarily expensive. I don’t buy shoes often, but when I do they’re usually quite expensive, so. I’m not sure how to answer this question, but it goes two ways for me.
22 - Are you glad that Biden won the 2020 elections? I’m glad he won but at the end of the day he’s still just the lesser evil. I won’t really know anything until I see him and his moves in office, so I’ll have to wait until then.
23 - What kind of things do you do to try and save the planet? I segregate, turn off the faucet when it isn’t being used, never turn on my bedroom light, and before Covid I’d pick up trash I’d see at the mall.
24 - Are you, or have you ever been, vegetarian or vegan? I haven’t been either but I do opt for vegan options when I see one on the menu.
25 - What was the last thing you threw in the bin/garbage? A cotton bud.
26 - How many times a week do you exercise? Do you think that’s enough or should you really be doing more? I never do. I know I should probably do so, but eh.
27 - When was the last time you had to cancel or re-arrange plans you'd made? What was the reason behind it? LOL well...I’m currently having to rearrange and revise and adjust my entire life plans because of this stupid breakup.
28 - Have you ever had to wear braces? Yes. But I’ll have to avail them again because I did a terrible job keeping my retainers on.
29 - What cut of jeans do you prefer? Mom jeans that are a little more loose than skinny jeans, but aren’t too baggy.
30 - If you’re planning to spend the day at home, do you get properly dressed or just wear pyjamas? I wear my usual getup of a t-shirt/tank top and shorts.

survey by lets-make-surveys
1 - What’s the biggest argument you’ve ever had with a family member? Did things ever go back to how they were beforehand? It was an argument with the entire family, sans my sister who stayed silently watching during the whole thing as she hates conflict. We had just flown back to Manila from a vacation and we were all just tired and impatient and hungry, my mom found a way to shift the blame on me as per usual, some words were exchanged, and my brother ended up slapping me and it was on hell on earth from there. Things weren’t ok for a whole week, but slowly life went back to normal without us ever acknowledging it because we’re dysfunctional as fuck. The one thing that never ended up changing is my dynamic with my brother, with whom I stopped speaking permanently after what he did.
2 - Have you ever experienced some kind of natural disaster? A lot; my country is a big hot spot for typhoons, so we don’t really have a choice but to go through several of them every year. Sometimes it’ll get bad enough for us to make it to international news because our government doesn’t really do anything to help out victims.
3 - If you have pets, do you feed them human food or do they just get regular pet food? If they do get human food, what’s their favourite thing to have? They both get human food. I’m not sure what Cooper’s favorite is as Nina primarily feeds him; but Kimi is most obsessed with chicken.
4 - Have you ever been in a physical fight? Who won? Just play wrestling matches with my cousin when we were kids. He always won as he was older and a lot bigger than me.
5 - What were you lighting the last time you used a lighter or matches? I don’t light stuff up on my own because I’m scared of fire, but the last time we used matches was for lighting up our emergency candles because of the power outage from last week.
6 - What’s the weather currently doing where you are? It is annoyingly humid. I had to open my windows and roll up my window blinds today, which I hate having to do because it makes neighbors able to see my room and what I’m doing here -_____- I feel like I’m giving away my privacy every time I have to have the blinds up just to have colder air in.
7 - The last time you got up from your seat, what did you go and do? Before doing this I came from bed. When I felt like doing a survey I just got up and headed to my work desk.
8 - Name five things you’ve done so far today: Received a package for something I bought online, made myself a sandwich, ate cheese-flavored corn chips, watch a half-season of Friends, and bought another embroidery kit online (I’ve been calling it ‘cross-stitch’ this whole time but apparently that is wrong, whoops). Not a very productive Saturday, but it’s honestly ok considering I’m left exhausted from the past week.
9 - What’s the mode of transport that you take or use the most? I drive myself.
10 - When was the last time you got caught in a rain or snow storm? Were you dressed for it or did you end up getting soaked? Start of the month. I was driving to take Cooper to the vet when it suddenly started raining super hard, but it was only upon arriving at the clinic that I realized there wasn’t any umbrella in the car. Had to make a quick dash from the car to the nearest shade, all the while keeping Cooper under my jacket so that he stayed dry. I was soaked as shit but he was kept dry, which was all that mattered.
11 - Did your favourite Disney film come out before or after you were born? I have two favorites: Toy Story came out three years before I was born, but Tangled came 12 years after my birth.
12 - Are you a fan of musicals? No, I never saw the appeal.
13 - What the last thing you spent money on apart from necessities? My favorite coffee from Starbucks. It’s a win-win situation for me at the moment: my mom is asking for a Starbucks planner for Christmas, which means all I need to do for her gift is to keep ordering coffees from there until I’ve collected enough stickers to be entitled to a planner, heheh.
14 - Are there any sequels to things that you prefer to the original? Ooh, I’m not the biggest fan of movies that come in multiple parts so I don’t know if I have any picks. I can name covers that I like than the original songs, though.
15 - How often do you lose the remote control? I haven’t really sat down in front of a TV to watch shows since high school, so I haven’t temporarily lost a remote control since then.
16 - When was the last time you had problems with your internet connection? Last Thursday and Friday but only because the power went out.
17 - What games do you play on your phone, if any at all? I play 1010 the most, but I’ve got tons of other games that are just sitting in my menu just in case I’m suddenly in the mood to play them.
18 - Aside from family, who was the last person you spent time with? How do you know that person? I dunno, I guess the people in my work meeting video call yesterday afternoon? It was my first meeting with that particular team as the newbie at work, so I don’t actually know all of them that well yet.
19 - Are you currently warm, cold or just right? I am hot and irritated by it.
20 - Do you prefer showers or baths? When was the last time you had either? Showers; my last one was yesterday. My last bath was...no clue. Two years ago, maybe?
21 - Do you spend a lot of money on your appearance? I used to spend a lot on clothes, yeah, at least before Covid. But right now there really has been no point in upgrading my wardrobe, so I haven’t been buying any new pieces.
22 - When was the last time you spent more than £100 on something? Was it a necessity like a bill, or a treat for yourself? I have never spent ₱6,408 in one sitting, whether it be for myself, for a necessity, or for someone else. That’s crazy and will probably take a couple more years before I see myself making transactions that huge.
23 - Would you rather swim in the sea, a lake or a pool? Seeeeeeeea. I always feel at peace in the sea, and ugh I miss it so much.
24 - Have you ever had a zoo keeper experience or anything where you’ve been able to go behind the scenes and look after/feed the animals? I wouldn’t call it a zookeeper experience, but we went to some sort of animal park in Bali that let me carry and interact with all sorts of animals.
25 - Would you ever want the responsibility of being a politician or a similar position of power? Probably not. I don’t think I’d be able to handle it.
26 - How many times a week do you go to the grocery store? My parents go at least once a week to buy groceries.
27 - When was the last time you got a takeaway coffee or drink? Last night. Being able to earn money and spend it on myself and never have to ask from my parents anymore has been one of the highlights of my year so far, aaaahhhhh
28 - Do you quote films or TV shows as you’re watching them? If I love the film and memorize a chunk of the dialogue, yes. The movie I quote the most as I watch it is most definitely Titanic.
29 - What’s something your parents do that really annoys you? My dad doesn’t really do anything that annoys me. My mom doesn’t knock.
30 - If you had to quarantine for two weeks tomorrow due to testing positive to COVID, would you be able to survive on the things you had in your house? Yes. I’ll be locked in my room but my dad will probably be bringing me food, just the way he did when I got sick last May and had to isolate myself.

#TimeToTalk #TimeToChange
Yes, it’s difficult, but the change needs to happen. We can’t keep pushing this under the rug, because mental health is as important as physical health, more so, in my opinion. Mental health issues impact on physical health, on relationships, on work, on everything. Everything. We’re too used to saying we’re ‘fine’, or ‘OK’, or ‘getting there’, when we’re really not, and that’s the part that needs to change. It’s also the part that’s hardest to change, to say “I’m not OK.”, or “I’m really not coping.”, we bite that back because we’re worried about the reaction, and the cycle continues, the isolation we self-enforce feeding the original issue.
‘We.’ I’m not diagnosed with anything specific at the moment, this, now is tagged ‘stress related disorder’, which is doctor-speak for “Could be anything, really.” I’m a cumulative-toxicity mess of all sorts of things, there’s no point at all trying to put a label on me, because most of it is just ‘me.’ I’m clinically incorrect, I’m mentally unstable, but this is my life, it’s the only one I have, and the bad phases pass. They always have, so, when I hit a dark patch, or crash-out incapable, I assume it will pass, like it always has, and that’s how I get through.
None of us would be ashamed of a physical ailment, unless it was something nasty, like Athlete’s Foot, or crabs, but still, we’d seek treatment, because we know there are treatments. None of us obsess over a burst appendix, or a bout of Tonsillitis, so why, in the name of all that’s sacred, do we cover up mental health issues? There’s a ‘weakness’ in an appendix that inflames and ruptures, but there’s no shame to the scar. It’s the 21st century, we KNOW that pulling our socks up, having a stiff upper lip, and carrying on don’t solve mental health issues, and the people who say that those are solutions are wrong. That’s part of the challenge, dispelling the misconceptions that we can just ‘cheer up’, as if there’s an ‘off’ switch on poor mental health. There are a multitude of self-care strategies, and each and every one of us is responsible for ensuring we are as safe and healthy as we can be.
We need to talk, we need to be able to say “I’m not OK.”, show me a person who’s 100% ‘happy’ all the time, and I will assume they’re either on drugs, or have a flap in their back where the batteries go. Human beings aren’t happy all of the time, that’s not a natural state, sometimes we’re sad, or anxious, or apathetic. Sometimes we’re worse than that.
Talk, engage, there’s nothing so small I won’t find the time to listen, there’s nothing so big that I will be scared away, I promise. I will listen, and I will try to help, or, I will just listen without prejudice, because sometimes, just ‘getting it out’ helps. I made a pledge, many years ago, to do what I could to change the attitudes, the outright stigma towards poor mental health, and I haven’t forgotten that pledge. I might not be on top form myself right now, but I’ll still listen, and encourage you to breathe, and never, ever judge you. Global events are unpleasant, the weather is atrocious, and we all have our own struggles. I’m strong enough to take the weight of your worries, I’m stronger than I look, even if I’m not as strong as I used to be.

977.
How old are you? >> 33.
Do you live in North America? >> Yes.
Do you love dogs? >> I do love dogs. I teeter on the fence constantly about whether I would actually want to take custody of one or not, though. What I truly want is a trained support dog -- not a full service dog, because I don’t need that level of assistance, but I guess “emotional support animal” is the term I’m looking for even though that’s gotten a bit fraught lately. Once I saw a video (which was weird to watch because it felt a bit voyeuristic, but hey) where a person was having a meltdown and the dog came and prevented them from harming themselves, and I think I could greatly benefit from that as opposed to having to hope that Can Calah (who has no real power over the body 99.8% of the time) can stop me.
Were you finished childhood and teens when Harry Potter movies came out? >> The first movie came out in 2001, which means I was 14 at the time.
Did you keep all your VHS tapes? >> I never had any.
Do you think Jack Nicholson is a good actor? >> I don’t have an opinion.
Have you ever watched an episode of “The Honeymooners”? >> I’ve watched a fair bit of it, because of the New Year’s marathons.
Have you ever owned a pair of high-top Converse? >> No, Converse shoes are uncomfortable for me.
Do you have rain boots with a cute pattern on them? >> No, I just have a pair with white polka dots because that was all I could find at the store at that time. I want to get a cute pair at some point but I keep forgetting (and I use them so infrequently that it doesn’t even seem to matter now -- snow boots are far more important here).
Would you rather eat an apple or an orange right now? >> Apple. We’re out of them, though.
Would you rather do a cartwheel on land or a backflip in water? >> I can’t do a backflip, anyway. So, cartwheel by default.
Have you ever performed on stage in front of people? >> Yeah, many times.
Were you kinda scared of the goths in high school? >> I wanted to be the goths. Unfortunately, I had very little control over what I was allowed to wear, do, or listen to, so...
What size is your mattress? (single, twin, double, queen, king) >> Twin.
Do you eat foods from all 4 food groups everyday? >> No.
Would you rather watch a movie in theater or at home? >> Right now, at home 100%. Usually there will be a few movies that I would choose to see in-theater because I want the big-screen experience, and also because I like making An Event out of things sometimes by having to actually go out somewhere to experience them.
Do you prefer brown or white rice? >> I use white rice most often. I’m not sure if brown rice would taste the same in coconut rice (which is the kind of rice I eat most often)... should try it sometime just to see.
Do you like spaghetti? >> Not especially.
What about lasagna? >> It’s all right sometimes. I just don’t eat a lot of pasta, period.
Do you celebrate Christmas? >> Yes.
Is your Thanksgiving celebrated in October too? >> No, this country’s Thanksgiving is in November.
Do you like chocolate bars? >> Not usually.
what about ice cream? >> I don’t dislike ice cream as much as I just never have a taste for it (and I’m particular about flavour).
Have you ever been stung by anything? What was it? >> No.
Do you have GOD-GIVEN(not dyed) natural brown hair too? >> I do have natural brown hair.
Or were you born blonde? >> Not even close.
Have you found a gray hair on your head or body before? >> Yeah, I have several greys. I can’t wait to grow more, it’s my favourite hair colour.
Have you ever had any suspicious moles removed? >> No.
Have you ever been screened for STDs? >> Yeah.
Are all your wisdom teeth pulled? >> No, I still have them all. The dentist suggested getting them pulled because one of them was starting to have an issue of some sort, but like... “starting to have an issue” (and only one of them, besides) isn’t enough motivation for me to get four whole teeth pulled.
Did you have your tonsils taken out? >> No.
Did you have your appendix taken out? >> No.
How many kidneys do you have?(have you donated one?) >> I haven’t donated a kidney.
Would you(to save someone)? >> If it was viable, sure, why not.
If you were dying of starvation, would you eat another human? >> I can’t imagine what it would be like to be starving, so I can’t rightly say what I would do. That sort of extreme survival situation turns you into a whole different person, I can’t speak for myself in that state until I actually know what it’s like. (I have no current moral objections to it, though, so I’m assuming I’d have less trouble eating a person than someone who finds it repugnant in normal circumstances.)
Have you ever found a bug or slug in your salad? >> No.
Do you like Harry Potter? >> I thought it was all right. I liked certain characters and plot concepts, specifically, and mostly ignored the rest of them (including... the main characters, lol). Now I have even less interest in it after watching JKR get radicalised in real time, not gonna lie. (Still reppin’ Slytherin from Malfoy Manor, though! :p)
What about Twilight? >> I never got into that, the first book bored me.
How do you feel about Lord of the rings? >> I think it’s an amazing and intricate and delightful story. But I didn’t read it, lmao. Too much book and far too much exposition in said book for my interests. The movies are what I’m into.
Are you going to see ‘The Hobbit’ when it comes out? >> I saw the whole trilogy. I never did get around to reading the book, but I’ll probably do so eventually (after my reread of Silmarillion, which comes first!).
Do you have a glass that says 'Molson Canadian’ on it? >> I don’t. I have a glass that says “Guinness” on it, though. And my name.
Do you have any collector’s glasses or cups or mugs? >> No.
Would you rather have a white fridge or a black fridge or a stainless steel fridge? >> Black or stainless steel, I’m quite done with white fridges and I never want to see one again.
Do you have a wide foot or a narrow foot or just average? >> I assume my foot is average.
Do you bite your nails when you’re stressed? >> No, I’m a picker.
Do you have to take an allergy pill daily in order to live normally? >> No, I don’t have allergies.
Are you on the birth control pill? >> Yeah. It’s more like the dysphoria control pill, for me.
Or are you trying to get pregnant? >> I would never.
You’d rather wear black sneakers or sneakers in a bright color or pattern? >> Black, because they’d match with everything I have. I’m sometimes tempted to get funky sneakers but the novelty wears off so quickly.
Has anyone ever told you they were attracted to you? >> Sure.
Are you going to drink alcohol tonight? >> Most likely not. Also, I’m a day-drinker, not a night-drinker, because I don’t like things messing with my sleep.
Have you ever heard of the Canadian kids show called “Mr.Dressup”? >> No. But I’m so glad Lane got to take a survey that had Canadian stuff in it instead of being inundated with common USian bullshit for once xD
What about the kids show “Fred Penner’s Place”? >> ---
Did you hate Sesame Street when you were little too? >> I didn’t.
Were you born perfectly healthy or with some(or a lot) of health issues? >> I can’t recall having any health problems whatsoever as a child.
What are those 'said’ health issues? >> ---
Do you collect DVDs? >> No.
Do you download music? >> No.
Or do you still go to stores and buy CDs? >> I haven’t bought a CD in at least a decade.
