Okay I’m all for appreciating Dan but you guys don’t need to treat him like he’s a fragile 8 year old. You don’t need to be overprotective over a 25 year old man.

recently, there’s been a bit of drama in the phandom. people have been pressuring dan to make a “coming out” video and when demon phannies found out what the actual vid was, they were disappointed. and i’m very disappointed i need to write about this.

my opinion ~

 we need more positivity and support right now because it’s not looking too good. people are making the assumption that “it’s gonna be 2012 all over again” but I don’t want that to happen. we need to stand with dan and phil and show them we care, love, support them for everything they have done for us. dan worked really hard on editing and making us laugh in that isg9 video. but all you demon phannies are disappointed that its not what you wanted the vid to be about??

on twitter, there has been a couple hashtags #thankyoudanfor and #weloveyoudan . dan saw one of them and appreciated our kindness. we need to continue this kindness so this phandom can stay strong together and not fall apart. so just spread positivity and dont be too harsh on dan. we need to respect who THEY are and what THEY want to upload. they respect us, so we need to respect them too.

i loved dan’s new video, it was hilarious. it made me really happy after the long day i had. :)

Thank you Dan, for being the boy with that loud laugh, for having really good and funny ideas, for always giving us the courage to exist, thank you for making 6 million people smile, for creating a world with @amazingphil that helped lots of people making their lives better and finding friends.

Thank you for everything you have done and created. For being suh a beautiful human, for teaching us lots of things with your videos and experiences.

And finally, thank you for everything, there are lots of things the phandom would like to thank you for, and it can’t just be expressed by words written on a computer screen, but you just need to know that everything you do makes lost of people happy and it doesn’t matter what decisions you take, we will love you the same.

OKAY LISTEN UP PEOPLE.

I knew people were hoping for a coming out video. I knew they wouldn’t be happy when the Internet Support Group video came out. But I did NOT expect people to yell at Dan about it!

Personally, I’m a fan of the Internet Support Group series. I definitely would have rather had a coming out video, or a kink video, or something more along those lines, but that does NOT give ANY OF US the right to complain about it, ESPECIALLY TO DAN SPECIFICALLY! 

He also said in his last liveshow, THIS IS NOT THE CHEEKY VIDEO. THE CHEEKY VIDEO IS NEXT. HE DECIDED TO DO THE INTERNET SUPPORT GROUP FIRST. WHY? BECAUSE HE’S HAD A ROUGH WEEK AND THOUGHT IT WOULD MAKE HIM FEEL BETTER. BUT INSTEAD WE MADE HIM FEEL WORSE. 

If you really want him to come out, maybe you should NOT PRESSURE HIM TO COME OUT. It’s like a kindergarten class. If you don’t stop asking the teacher to let you do something, THEY’RE NEVER GOING TO LET YOU DO IT. If you don’t stop asking Dan to come out, HE’S NEVER GOING TO DO IT. That is, if he even is anything other than straight! I’m not even going to make any assumptions here. This honestly reminds me too much of the 2012 Phandom. I wasn’t around then, but from what I’ve seen, it was just like this. The Phandom was constantly prying into their lives just as we are now. 

HOWEVER, despite the similarities in the Phandom’s behavior in the two years, I think Dan has changed. He’s learned to ignore us doing stupid things like this. Despite this, Dan has had a rough week. He said it himself in his last liveshow. He doesn’t need us making it worse! 

As to the people who are posting on the Twitter hashtag #thankyoudanfor and just promoting Dan in general, I applaud you. Because he truly deserves it. As to him calling himself a disappointment, I think it’s just his dark sense of humor showing. I do, however, think that this has pissed him off almost as much as it has the rest of us, as he’s had a rough week and I think this just put it over the top. But I think his self-bashing tweets, while possibly having a bit of anger put into them, are mostly just his way of coping with things like this. I don’t think he really thinks he’s a disappointment. He’s said it himself. We’re all taking him too seriously. And I think that includes him. 

BUT THAT DOES NOT MAKE IT OKAY TO SEND INSULTS AND ANGER AT HIM ABOUT WHAT VIDEO HE DECIDED TO UPLOAD. I understand some of you are just joking. But that’s not always obvious. And don’t joke at Dan. If you need to be mad, be mad with your friends. Don’t yell at Dan himself. Okay? Okay.
