it was raining today, which wasn’t normal. weather in this region was typically mild, and you felt a tension in the air when you stepped outside that morning, a kind of static charge. perhaps a storm was coming?

you were planning to move into the task force building but that plan hadn’t been secured yet, so you were currently residing in an apartment not too far from work. you could walk there in a short amount of time if you wanted to, it was only any trouble on a rainy day like this. you luckily remembered an umbrella.

you arrived at work and studied the reflections of the dull sky on the skyscraper. you then spent the next few minutes bypassing the tedious security system watari had created. you understood that the confidentiality of the investigation was important, but this was always a pain.

walking into the building, you noticed that you were the last to arrive. the somber atmosphere of the outside world had somehow carried into the main office, the cheery air around matsuda being an exception. you greeted everyone and went over to l. his energy had been particularly charged after the recent events. the death note had been discovered and higuchi had been caught. the chaos had done no good for anyone, and you wanted so badly to make sure that he was okay. but no matter what, he didn’t say a word to you.

when the day was over, you hung back after everybody had left to go to their respective rooms, or left to go home. l still sat at his usual station, studying some sort of statistics on his computer. a lot of the time you didn’t even think the things he worked on were relevant at all, it all seemed very convoluted to you. but he always got his work done so you never bothered to inquire.

you felt tired from the way he’d been acting because you were worried. you were upset that he was distancing himself from everybody this way, but you were still becoming increasingly concerned. something had changed about him, he wasn’t as motivated as usual. you really wanted to approach him about the issue but didn’t know how. but today, you decided to follow through in trying to talk to him, because the issue wasn’t fixing itself.

‘ryuzaki?’

he briefly glances at you coming to sit by him before looking back at the monitor. you study his expression in the time he takes to respond, and his eyes are dark. even the brightness of the screen doesn’t put any life into his expression.

‘…yes?’

you roll your eyes at how nonchalant he’s acting, but continue nonetheless. you decide to be as bold as you can allow yourself to be.

‘i want to speak with you. something’s changed. you’re so quiet, especially towards me.’

‘i’m-‘

he carefully evaluates his response before continuing to speak.

‘…i don’t know what you’re talking about.’

you can’t tell if he’s joking or not but decide to ignore whatever he’s trying to pull.

‘i want you to be honest with me. i’ve been working with you and the others for long enough to know when there’s something wrong. i promise you i’ll understand if there’s a problem, there’s a lot going on right now i know. so please, just-‘

‘you must forget about it. continue with your work as usual so that i can continue with mine.’

his blunt interruption catches you completely off guard, his mood changed so quickly. but something about the wording of his outburst…

are you keeping him from working somehow?

‘what are you…is it me? have i done something?’

he finally looks at you, and you swear you can see concern in his eyes.

‘no… no, of course not. i’m sorry. i just mean, i-‘

he stammers again. you realise that he probably doesn’t do this often. you put a hand on his shoulder, worrying that you’ll regret it. he becomes rigid for a moment before relaxing again.

‘i’m worried for you, y/n. these feelings are foreign to me. there are so many problems with you being here, but you haven’t caused any of them. it’s… hard for me to explain it.’

but you understand. of course you understand. you’ve already said, you’ve known him for long enough now. and what he’s trying to describe… you almost feel wrong for finding it endearing.

‘i understand ryuzaki, and i don’t ever want me being here to create conflict or problems. i want you to know that i’m here because i want to be. i want to catch kira, no matter what it takes. i think the same way you do. i want to be like you one day.’

you’re hesitant when saying the last line, but you promised yourself you’d be bold and transparent.

‘you’re fine as you are.’

he speaks with a small smile on his face, his eyes finally showing affection. it’s something you haven’t seen in a long time. you pause, hoping he’ll continue.

‘i’m sorry. you don’t deserve to have to deal with what happens here. i’m so frightened. if anything happened to you…’

his face still lacks some sincerity, but you see everything in his eyes.

‘but i want you to stay. and i will do everything in my power to protect you.’

you turn his chair around and smile at him, satisfied. much to your surprise, he actually smiles back. his expression is reverted. he leans up and softly kisses you on the lips.

when you leave a little later, you look up at the sky the same way you did this morning. the clouds have parted, and it almost looks as if the heavens are beaming light onto the earth.

I’m gonna be real honest with you, you caught his eye by being with Katsumi (after the two of them became friends of sorts after all the beat downs)

Doyle lived a solitary life behind an assassin so he’s not used to seeing such warmth and love between two people. He’s fascinated by the way you two interact. So much so that he begins to stalk the two of you as his fascination twisted into a sickening obsession

Doyle can’t get over how sweet you are and how you’re always caring for Katsumi’s well being. He’s flabbergasted when you hand him a home cooked meal one day while he’s over. He’s never tasted something so delicious before… he will start bringing you small trinkets he steals (such as cosmetics or perfumes he think will suit you)

Grows to care for you as you care for him. Little things mean a lot to him and he craves this small amount of normalcy and warmth in his life. Yet he’s a very self aware yandere. He knows he can’t truly have you

He doesn’t talk much so he just listens to you talk with Katsumi and him. He enjoys your laugh the most. Doyle almost feels normal when he’s with you two. It won’t take long for him to covet Katsumi’s position in your life but he won’t kill Katsumi for it. He’ll try to manipulate Katsumi into sharing you (it won’t work)

He begins working his way into your life and gaining your trust. He’s such an amazing friend and he’s such a good listener. Doyle will even let you put makeup on him. He’s very comfortable with you

Will be over the moon if you make a friendship bracelet for him. I feel like he’d treasure it forever

Will lay under your bed and listen to you and Katsumi go at it. He’ll place his hands on the mattress to try to imagine what it would be like being the one on top of you instead

Knows he can never have you but would be the only one okay with watching you from afar. His life is too dangerous for you and he doesn’t ever want anything bad happening to you. You’ll always be his in his dreams

You’re still on his mind when he’s locked up in prison again. It’s a shame he’ll no longer be able to see your beautiful face once he’s out

Kaiou Dorian (this one is just sad)

I see him being interested in someone who is super pastel and cute. He has a lot of unresolved childhood trauma due to growing up during WWII. He’s interested in you in a platonic way though. You’re like a child to him. You remind him a lot of a doll and he was quite fond of those when he was young

He’s a very smooth talker because he’s had a lot of experience in his youth. He knows all the right things to say to get you to agree to being his ‘sugar baby’ and he comes to find out you’re very sweet. You feel pity for this lonely old man

Your relationship with him is definitely a sugar relationship without the sugar. He just enjoys spending time with you. He is especially fond of amusement parks so the two of you frequent them a lot

He becomes extremely possessive of you over time and doesn’t want you spending time with anyone else. He’ll increase your pay too if you ditch your friends for him (with money he stole of course but you don’t need to know that)

He’s very much a father figure to you more than a romantic partner and it’s the same for him. He sees you as the child he never had. You two converse well and always have a good laugh

Treats you extremely well up until the very end. It was so hard seeing his mind shatter, but he still remembers you. He now clings to you even more like a lost child. You visit him in the mental hospital a lot and bring him candies. He has no one else and you can’t bear to see him rot. It breaks your heart even after learning of all the horrible things he did. Because you grew to care for him as a friend. You’ll visit him till the day he dies

"Alright people, are you all prepared to have the best night of your lives?" Steve clasps his hands together and stares round the room at you, eddie, and nancy. You roll your eyes at him.

Summary: Glimpses into Harry’s life as a father.

A/N: I adore this request! Thank you so much for sending it, I hope you like!! Also I made some changes to canon, so in this there are only two children, not three. 

Warnings: mentions of pregnancy, mentions of injury and nightmares. This is nothing but wholesome fluff.

On the eve that Harry became a father, he couldn’t quite believe the size of his son’s fingers and toes.

Ten tiny fingers.

Ten tiny toes.

As a whole hand of tiny fingers wrapped around one of Harry’s, Harry made a silent vow.

This vow he made as he glanced between his newborn son and you, sleeping peacefully after an intense delivery. This vow he made to remind himself of the importance of family.

The ten fingers and ten toes of his newborn son would never once experience the level of pain he had. His son would never go through the emotional torment of never knowing his parents; his son would never experience true loneliness.

Harry made the vow in utter silence, sealing it with a kiss to his son’s head. As if in response to the promise made, his son squeezes his father’s finger, gripping it with all the strength in one of his tiny hands.

Ten fingers, ten toes. All perfect, and all there.

It’s a huff and a cry that follows that has Harry rushing from the kitchen into the back garden. Harry’s heart stops at the sight of his son sprawled on the floor; fat tears running down his face more from shock than pain.

He brushes his son down, checking for any major injuries as he does so. His heart returns to a normal rhythm once he realises that James is entirely uninjured, suffering shock more than anything.

“How many fingers, James?” Harry asks; reaching out brush the tears away from James’ face.

“Ten.”

“How many toes?”

“Ten.”

Harry kisses his son’s hair, “Ten fingers, ten toes. We’re ready to go. Do you feel better?”

James nods; wiping away the last of his tears and smiling shakily up at his father. Harry smiles back at his son; lifting him under the arms and settling him on his hip. “I think we’ve had enough of the outside for now,” Harry comments softly, “Will you help me make lunch, James?”

James nods once more, tucking his small head into the crook of Harry’s neck. Harry chuckles softly, heading back inside where he settles his son on a stool at the kitchen counter.

“What will it be, James? A sandwich or some soup?”

“Soup!” His son shouts, a smile on his face as Harry grabs the tins from the cupboard and sets the pan on the stove.

You enter the kitchen, pressing a lingering kiss to Harry’s cheek before dropping a kiss to James’ head. “What’s happening here?”

“Lunch Mama!”

You laugh, “I can see that. What are we having?”

“Soup,” Harry states.

Harry watches you with a warm smile. You pick up your son, settling on his stool before sitting James on your lap. Harry thinks back to his teenage years; to the years that he didn’t know whether he would make it through the school year never mind make it to having a family.

The rich laughter of his son brings Harry back from his memories; fetches harry back from the precipice in which he found himself teetering. He lets himself have his small panic; Harry lets himself fall prey to the anxiety that has unfurled in his gut. But he only lets it keep hold of him for the amount of time it takes him to count the fingers and toes on his son.

Ten fingers, ten toes. Harry’s mind calms and his smile returns to his face.

Harry lurches upright. A hand to his throat as he drags in air; his mind rattled and his body shaking. It had felt so real. It had been real; he had experienced his nightmare before as a teenager, but now, knowing he had much more to lose, it felt even more terrifying.

He glances over to your sleeping body; a hand outstretched towards him even in sleep. His eyes run over you; watching your sleeping form rise and fall as breath leaves your body. Harry’s mind settles slightly as he sees you’re alive and with him. The silver wedding band on your left hand signally a happy future from the nightmare he had found himself in.

Harry presses a kiss to your forehead, brushing your hair back from your face before leaving you in bed. He shives against the cold air of the night; the landing freezing as Harry sits at the top of the stairs, hanging his head in his hands.

He knows logically that there is no threat now; he vanquished it years ago and there had been no signs of another uprising since. Yet, Harry spends most nights having to repress the urge to stand guard by the front door, wand at the ready for whomever should come crashing through posing a threat to his wife and his son.

James stands by his door; his teddy hanging from his hand as Harry tries to settle his breathing and heartbeat.

“Daddy?” He asks, voice quiet yet ringing through the silent house.

“James,” Harry says, a hand reaching for his son.

James goes into his arms willingly, yawning tiredly as he settles his head against his father’s shoulder. James doesn’t say a lot, even this young he knows that his father struggles to sleep on some nights. He had found him asleep on the couch downstairs more often than not, a blanket thrown haphazardly over his body as James hears his mother soft humming from the kitchen.

“How many fingers?” James asks, stumbling over the harder sounds in the words.

Harry swivels to face his son; the question being the last thing he expected.

“Ten, James.”

“How many toes?” James follows, kicking his feet in the air for emphasis.

The weight on Harry’s chest feels lighter as he answers his son, “Ten, James.”

Ten fingers, ten toes. James reminds Harry – ten fingers, ten toes, and we’re ready to go. As long as we have all ten fingers and all ten toes, we can do just about anything, even if it is defeating the terrors that haunt us at night.

The very same vow is made when Lily Luna Potter arrives in the world on a sunny March morning. Harry felt sure that he had the same awe-filled expression on his face from when he first held James.

The pregnancy had not come as a shock to either you or Harry. The both of you had been trying for a second child for close to a year before being blessed with a positive test.

The nerves do not rack Harry as much as they did before James arrived. However, they still turn his stomach as he watches you go through the same experiences of morning sickness followed by odd cravings. For James, it had been chocolate with cheese and onion crisps. For Lily, it had been crackers slathered with butter followed by plain digestive biscuits.

Harry crinkled his nose at all cravings, but kept his mouth shut for fear of upsetting you. He would reassure your worries as you would reassure his. The both of you looking to James as an example that so far, neither of you had failed at parenting. The small boy turning into young child that knew his manners and was devoted to his mother.

It is James who whispers the vow. He stands over the cot of his baby sister, eyes wide in awe at the small bundle of blankets. He turns to his father; catching his attention from whatever conversation he was having with you.

“Ten fingers and ten toes,” James whispers, pointing to Lily’s hands and feet.

“Ten fingers and ten toes,” Harry states, the vow unleashed to the world and sealed with the very same kiss he had placed upon James’ head all those years ago.

The Hogwarts’ Express hoots behind them. James looks toward the train before fixing his tear-filled gaze on his father. Harry is barely keeping it together himself; the first of his three children to be going away to school. He knew he would be emotional; he just didn’t prepare himself for the pit of dread eating its way through his stomach lining.

Harry reaches out to ruffle his son’s hair. His first born; his eldest – the one who made him a father, who had moulded him into the man he is today.

“Write to your mother and I when you get settled?”

James nods. “As soon as I get to my room,” He replies, voice quiet.

“Do not be scared of whatever house you are sorted in. Your mother and I love you either way.”

A weight is lifted off of James’ shoulder; he had been silently obsessing over that since the letter first arrived. His father, the great Harry Potter, was known for his strong allegiance to the house of Godric. James couldn’t help but panic if he was to be sorted into any other house; he didn’t want to think of his father’s reaction should he be sorted into Slytherin.

Harry pulls James into a hug; unable to let his son go without one more. As they part, Harry pats James on the shoulder, nodding towards the open carriage door, silently letting him know that it’s okay now. It’s okay to let go and board the train.

James does so with a wobbling lip; trying his best not to cry in front of those who could be his housemates for the formative years of his life.

“Fingers and toes,” Harry shouts, not caring about the odd looks from the other parents. These were his final verbal words to his son until Christmas. He would make sure they were   those that he vowed over his cradle when he was only a few hours old.

James sticks his head out of the carriage window. “Fingers and toes!” He cries, throwing the promise back to Harry.

He would return in one piece.

All ten fingers and all ten toes.

I have, a copious amount of undertale ocs, I'll list them here, but I may have to come back and add on to it, Because I might forget some lmaO,

I'll list them in order from oldest to newest! (Note that these are the ocs for my L:XV project, I have one more multiverse with much fewer characters, and I also have a few aus in the daydream factory plus A bunch of independent characters that I never put into stories, so to keep this list short, You'll just be getting the characters featured in L:XV LmaO)

Nari-My narrator that goes with me everywhere

Vincent-Very first oc, I forgot about him and ended up making a bunch of oc's after, and neglected him for a l o o n g time. He's getting revenge on me for it now, actually, That's how L:XV came to be.

Ray- Skeleton who was created in a facility, managed to escape with the help of his 'younger brother' Dio. Hates humans.

Dio- Dio, another skeleton created in the same facility as ray, little brother freind, extremely foul mouthed little thing.

Twin-Twin! My elsest gal in a group I call the 'Gaurdians of newmega', She's the oldest, but she's somehow the most immature. She's come along way from when I first created her.

AvA- Ava! A sort of 'scout' for pat before she made her way to that particular realm. She's an Android, and is sort of the 'Jarvis' of Newmegas castle, shes extremely sassy and sarcastic though, but we love her

Blade- Blade! My second eldest has also come so far. Someone who used to be a bloodthirsty ruthless killer, is now a strong and capable leader, who loves her fellow guardians

Hammer- Hammer, The third eldest, the smiley-est and by far the creepiest guardian, is a force to be reckoned with! She's so big, so quiet so powerful! Ugh we love her

Xixi- xixi! You've seen her all over the this blog! The famous failed prototype with self worth issues! Meant to Bind all the creations of [Pat]! Though she had her defects...she still wishes to be of some use!!!!

Collar-Collar, the youngest, has probably changed the most out of all the other guardians, she's the smallest, and tends to scare people off. She didn't used to be like that, but she's, intimidating now, despite her size.

L:XV dust-Dust! What more can I say, this version of dust isn't like most, he's silly, and loud, and is always up for making 'freinds', this dust does not have a hallucination of papyrus's Spirit...but that comes to bite him in the ass later. Dust is, a punching bag of sorts, for me anyway lmao

OVal-Ugh Oval, this guy's a major prick, Insists on hanging out around xixi, only to insult her and put her in harm's way at any chance he gets. He had a difficult past but it's not excuse. His magic can't digest regular food, so the mf eats rocks. Him and xixi are from the same place, somewhere called [MAYHEM]

Algorithm- Al, hehehehe, This man started out as a normal sans, completely normal. Totally ordinary Version of sans that managed to figure out how to manipulate code. Managed to kill everyone in the underground except his brother and make exact replicas of their soulless bodies, and forced his brother to play along with a new script of the game. One that Algorithm wrote himself. He's, a control freak.

Dbug-Poor baby, love him, he didn't deserve what his brother did. He started out as a normal papyrus, loud, boisterous, fun loving extraverted, And then his brother killed all his frens, forced him into the role of 'The head of the royal gaurd' and kept Dbugs soul in a state of limbo until a human fell and it was time for him to 'play his role'. He's so much different now. Poor baby

Xp- XP!!!! She's just your average glitch, hanging out in the antivoid and eating code she finds throughout the mulitverse. Not enough to destroy anything, just enough to taste and keep her well fed!

Nelly's brother (dead): Nelly's brother! Who held this omniverse in his hands, protecting it from any outside forces! Such a kind kind man, what a shame what happened to him...

Nelly- Nelly! An entity created by his brother to cure the keepers loneliness, he's got seven souls, and he's the keeper of [MAYHEM] he was a villain before, but he's been reformed :)

Benji- Benji! A sans with a cowboy hat who got lost In the multiverse! He's trying to find his way back home! He makes a friend along the way, even though he hates them at first

Copper- Copper! Benji's 'freind' with super cool electricity powers. She's a chill gal, and doesn't remember her home, and doesn't care to find it. Shes good running around the multiverse with this wannabe cowboy

Nelly's brother (revived)-The being responsible for Nelly's death, feeling bad for what they did, tried to recreate him for the sake of his little brother. Unfortunately, once someone is dead, they're dead. You can never make the same soul twice....currently locked up in [STILLNESS]

The Placeholders- The Placeholders! Three skeletons who were created after the unfortunate events during the battle with Nelly, back when he was still a villain. All they want is their brothers back. To kill the copies that stole their lives from them.

Pride: Pride! He's come such a long way! A now reformed villain, this is a papyrus who'd managed to get ahold of a [NEGATIVITY APPLE] and changed drastically. He's better now! He's a very tired man, who misses his dead brother...

D!blu-Denial blue! A regular swap sans who went mad after he found out how expensive the multiverse was, he didn't like the idea of there being so many of him...

Taz-Taz, mf, Is responsible for Bringing Vincent to this multiverse, and is just casually watching three separate groups fight for Dominion of the multiverse. All because he wanted more attention.

Mama Xi-Beloved ghost mother! Just a dead lady who loves Taking care of kids, and never gets sleep because of her graphic, violent nightmares....

Mysterious boat person: What can I say about this person, the name sais it all, he may or may not be related to someone else on this list...

Pat- Ah pat, us, me, everyone! Pat! The anomaly who entered this realm and turned everything upside down! Shes a problem, and she loves it. She doesn't have a Shadow, I wonder why....

Tiger-Tiger, Dblus poor baby brother, he just wants his older brother back, how he was before. He's so tired, so sad.

Signal-Honestly, gremlin dad man, Where did he come from? Why does he want a family? Who knows. (don't tell anyone but I kinda ship him with Mama xi, and one of my friends characters...)

Signals 7 adopted (stolen) children-Seven, stolen kids, All of which I love, none of which I have full drawings of

Invidia- The embodiment of jealousy, that just kinda, manifested, she's awful and terrible, and lives alone in a giant castle in an abandoned universe. She loves it there, and it's filled with shiny treasures

Seal!Papyrus- Actually, Just, Regular papyrus, except there's something.. clearly wrong...why is everyone trying to kill him? Why does he hurt, so bad.....

Gemini/Dustbunny-Poor baby, His brother died in a fight for food, he may or may not have blacked out and wiped out every living thing in the underground, and when he woke up a he saw was a humans outstretched Hand... offering him a new beginning....

Acce-This is actually just negative tale sans, after killing his brother and overhearing talk of his universe being destroyed and consumed, he asked the person destroying his home universe if he could tag along with them. And now he's living the dream...

Unnamed human child- a mysterious child with no known origin, only a mask in the shape of someone's face and a bloody, worn out knife

Nimda-Nimda! Poor baby, cursed to forever wander the universe, destroying each one she comes across until her counter reaches zero and she's allowed to go back home...

Screensaver: a broken, vengeful sans who's au was destroyed by a virus (nimda) who's now searching for her and any other glitched souls in the multiverse, so that he may eradicate them.

Vixx: My vampire! Who made a deal with a devil in green magic, and ended up into a warped version of your average monster, someone who needs LV to survive, someone who does not trust easy

L:XV error-Poor thing, a collection of scattered code though out the multiverse, searching for his true origins, and what all his scattered, broken memories mean...

Jay/jairo: A medic! A loud, fun party girl who's always up to make friends! No one knows how they move their little medical station throughout the multiverse so easily...

Jace: Jay's quieter, but still quite loud freind, she appreciates the little things, and has the most Adorable laugh!

Despair: Despair, the vengeful spirit looking for the person who took his life. He isn't sure who it is he's looking for, but he'll know when he finds them...

L:XV Nightmare: Poor poor thing, Nightmare, left by his brother to die by the hands of Invidia, this guardian of negativity is given a twisted second chance at life, but by who...

L:XV Dream-Two faced garbage, Who uses everyone around him for his own gain. Killed his brother simply because he felt like it. Now he works for someone who has their eyes on the seal....

And, These are all I can remember right now lmao, unfortunately most of them are skeletons, something I will fix once I start the new Multiverse, But! I love them all nonetheless!

I couldn't really choose a favorite, They're all my favorite I could never pick a favorite creation! I have love hate relationships with several of these characters though...

Jumin:

When you first cuddle up to him, Jumin is somewhat startled.

He quickly regains his composure, and most people would have easily missed the falter in his calm demeanour.

But you weren’t most people.

Noticing his discomfort, you begin to pull away—you know that Jumin hasn’t had much experience with genuine affectionate touch, and the last thing you want to do is make him uncomfortable.

Before you can pull away, however, the businessman’s grip on you tightens, and he pulls you almost imperceptibly closer to his chest.

He doesn’t say anything, but he feels you smile into his shirt, and you can feel the similar sloping of his lips as he places a kiss to the top of your head.

Once he’s had a taste of your cuddles, this touch starved man can’t get enough.

He’s not big on PDA, but whenever the two of you are alone, he always has to be touching you.

Feeling you snuggle into him is one of the few sensations that can pull a blush to his cheeks, though he easily hides it by burying his face in your hair or neck and dragging you closer.

He finds your softness and warmth fascinating, and when his arms are around you, his hands can never stay still.

Whether it’s running his fingertips over your spine or brushing his thumb along your cheekbone, he’s always exploring some new facet of your body, his eyes falling closed as he feels you bury yourself in closer to him.

Your cuddles are like a drug to him, and he’s been addicted since the first hit.

As much as he finds himself initiating affection from there on out, it always gives him a warm, fuzzy feeling when you make the first move.

Having you snug and safe beside him makes him feel special, and understood—and reminds him that he doesn’t have to feel alone anymore, doesn’t have to suppress any semblance of emotion.

He’s found his soulmate, and finally, he feels free.

Saeran:

When your cuddly, affectionate nature first rears its head, Saeran’s first instinct is to be wary.

That’s not to say he doesn’t enjoy it—just that it’s unfamiliar to him.

Although he trusts you, the amount of trauma he’s been through makes it difficult for him to accept that you genuinely enjoy being so physically affectionate with him.

It’s definitely not something he’s used to, and at first, he might stiffen and withdraw from you, both physically and emotionally.

Slowly, though, he’ll find himself craving your soft touch, the warm press of your body against his.

He’ll start to seek it out in small ways, nervous to let himself be vulnerable around you.

He’ll hold your hand more often, inch closer to you in the couch, and eventually, he’ll even dare to sling his arm around your shoulders.

The bright, beaming smile his action is met with has his chest tightening and his stomach churning with butterflies, cheeks and ears red and hot as he flushes.

After that, he lets you initiate cuddles more often. It’s still an unfamiliar sensation for him, but some lonely part of him never wants to let you go.

He begins to enjoy the racing of his heart at your close proximity instead of finding it threatening, and as his confidence in your relationship grows, he becomes almost as cuddly as you are.

Saeran loves to tuck you snugly into his side whenever the two of you watch a movie, or keep his arm draped loosely around your waist when the two of you are out in public.

Most of all, though, he loves cuddling with you in bed—especially if he’s the little spoon. With your arms closed tightly around him, he finally feels safe; a feeling he’s been chasing without success for as long as he can remember.

And despite his initial caution, Saeran eventually finds himself indescribably grateful for your cuddles—because, finally, he feels like he’s found the warmth and love from which he’d been so estranged.

Finally, he’s found his home.

I’m confused, the boy I’m “seeing/talking to” is being super weird he’s super chatty all talky and fun then dry and strange. Yesterday I was very busy do I didn’t respond to him message until the next morning and I told him “hi so sorry was super busy....” and he was chill and that’s cool then this is the weird bit he’s WAITED the exact amount of time it took me to respond to his messages from the day before today? I am like wtffff that so weird because I put something on my story and well he saw it but didn’t open message. Like I just happened to put a picture of me on a walk up and he viewed it straight AWAY? so idk what to think or do but why would he be playing games? And what should I do. I really don’t like games as I don’t want to hurt anyone or be cruel like that. Thanku :)))))

he might have thought that you weren’t actually busy and your the one playing games. so he just did what you did. i hate games like that too it’s such a turn off for me. i would just see if he replies normally and doesn’t wait. if he does it again then that might be a red flag to take note of

aaaaa okay !!! uh hold onto ur ears yall im abt to talk em off lmao

so !! if u didnt know, lucid dreaming is basically when you become aware that you’re dreaming while youre in a dream. once you’re aware, you can take control of the dream in literally any way u want — u can do anything, go anywhere, meet anyone, all with the knowledge that nothing can hurt u and nothing can stop u

its a fascinating concept and, the feeling when u actually become lucid for the first time? its better than anything else in the world. its the most invigorating thing u can ever feel, i think. but actually becoming lucid is, ,, , , hm. a time and a half. 

putting the rest under a cut bc, hooooo boy this is gonna get long

first things first! you absolutely have to keep a dream journal. forgetting ur dreams is all well and good when ur not trying to accomplish anything in them, but if you become lucid and then wake up with only the vaguest memory of what you actually did? thats painful.

u can either go all out and get a fancy journal and write them down physically each morning, or u can do what i do and just download an app. i personally use the app Dream Catcher, which lets u tag ur dreams for easy organization. just get in the habit of writing down your dreams every morning, and if you really, really cant remember anything, just write down that you didnt dream anything that day. you’ll train your brain to remember your dreams better

secondly! reality checks! are absolutely imperative! the idea behind them is that, if you do something throughout the day that “proves” your reality, eventually you’ll start doing it in your dreams as well. for example, a common thing in my dreams is that i’ll have extra fingers, so i check my hands a lot throughout the day. 

it can’t just be a casual thing, too. if all you do is glance at your hands and b like “yo looks normal, we gucci”, then you’ll do the same in your dreams even if you have Weird hands. trust me, Dream-You is an idiot, you gotta be obvious with this stuff. take a few moments, look at your hands, count out your fingers, and really think to yourself “am i dreaming?”

try to get in the habit of doing that at least 15 times a day, and eventually you’ll start doing it in your dreams too. 

now, if you just stick with doing those two things — which is what i’m doing right now — your chances of becoming lucid will raise astronomically. even just those two tiny things can train your brain into realizing when the world around you is real and when it isnt. you can also attempt something really easy called a MILD — a mnemonic-induced-lucid-dream — which can help your chances even more without upping the effort 

whenever you go to bed, just take a few moments — even just five minutes can help — and just. lay there. and think to urself, again and again “the next scene will be a dream” or “i will become lucid in my dreams tonight” or something similar. get ur brain really focused on lucid dreaming right before you fall asleep and chances are, those Vibes will bleed over into ur dreams and you’ll become lucid

practice those three things consistently, every day, and pretty soon you’ll start becoming lucid. it takes time, though! dont be discouraged if you end up not becoming lucid for the first few weeks, or even months. sometimes your brain just needs a bit of extra training

that’s what ive been doing for the past year or so — bc damn do i Not have the energy to actually put in too much effort — but!!! there are other techniques!!

my personal favorite is the WBTB, or wake-back-to-bed method. with this technique, you set your alarm for roughly 5-6 hours after you go to sleep so you’ll wake up inside of one of your REM cycles, specifically one where your dreams will be the most vivid. dont do anything, just roll over and go right back to sleep. 

you can even use a MILD along with this, repeat whatever mantra u usually use as you fall back asleep. you should start to see hypnagogic imagery — blobs of color and vague shapes floating before your eyes. just observe them. at one point, they’ll start forming more familiar shapes, and places, and maybe even people — and there should be a moment, a snap, where you go from observing these images to actually being in the scene. you literally build the dream around yourself, its magical

i have read that WBTB can cause sleep paralysis, but i’ve never personally experienced any problems with it, aside from the fact that im always tired the next day.

another thing that could severely increase your chances of being lucid but also involves Effort — meditation. specifically mindfulness meditation. the act of bringing full awareness to your Existence, honing in on just Your body, Your mind, Your breath, will make you a more aware, mindful person, which in turn makes you more perceptive of dream signs. also, the ability to clear your mind and center yourself with a moment’s notice really comes in handy when the dream becomes destabilized and you have to take control

if ur an adhd lad like me — or neurodivergent in any way, really — the idea of meditation can be,,,, terrifying. honestly, i havent meditated in like six months now, because it really wasnt?? doing anything for me?? mostly because im absolutely incapable of sitting still for that long without Something to stimulate me

so! loophole! guided meditations. having someone else guide you through the process can make it a bit easier to focus. just find one that works for u on youtube. there are even guided meditations made specifically to prime ur brain for lucid dreaming!

so thats how you get lucid. now for when youre lucid

at first, lucid dreaming is going to be extremely hard. dreams fall apart very easily — if you get too overexcited or if a dream-character looks at you the wrong way or if you cant seem to do what you want to do, your lucidity can fade and you’ll either go back to being your normal dream self or you’ll wake up. dreams are volatile and hard to control, and even harder to master

thats where meditation comes in handy. youll have a much easier time controlling your dreams if you can look at the world around you, take a breath, center yourself, and know that you can control it. that being said, you can absolutely learn to take control without ever having meditated a day in your life. its all about your mindset!

you have to go into it with confidence. the key to controlling your dreams is knowing that they’re your dreams. you cant forget that you’re in control. thats why i feel like learning to lucid dream doubles as a lesson in self-confidence — you have to learn to trust yourself, trust that you can handle any scenario thrown at you and come out on top.

if you can achieve this mindset, you can literally do anything. ive had maybe 50 lucid dreams since i started learning about them — which… is honestly a really low amount, but. i havent really had the time/energy to really throw myself into it  as much as i want to. but just in those dreams, ive flown, ive shapeshifted, ive met my sides, ive teleported to vast, gorgeous lands and seen some of the most beautiful things ive ever seen. anything is possible in a lucid dream; thats why its so worth it to put in the effort

but when youre first starting out, itll be extremely hard to maintain that mindset. like i said, Dream-you is dumb as shit — you’ll forget youre dreaming, you’ll be unable to control anything, you’ll wake up before you manage to accomplish anything. more often than not, the dream will destabilize, which is Not Fun

if the dream starts to destabilize — basically, if things start going fuzzy or vague, if you suddenly cant see, if you can feel ur body in bed, basically anything that points towards you waking up — there are ways to fix it. literally just spinning around helps for some reason? spin around, fall down, run ur hands along anything u can find and feel the texture, or just demand that the dream stabilize itself. most of the time, thatll work

and if it doesnt, dont be discouraged. theres always another night to dream

so basically: start a dream journal, do reality checks, mmmmaybe meditate if youre up for it, and your dreams will become like. at least 10x more interesting. trust me, try flying: its literally the best feeling in the entire world

its just !!! such a huge, incredible thing, and its so fascinating to learn about too. all the different ways you can train your brain, all the different things you can do, all the studies done on the subject. i suggest reading about Steven LaBerge or keith hearne. hearne led the study that proved lucid dreaming existed in the first place! he got a lucid dreamer to signal to him that he was conscious while asleep using REM (rapid-eye movement), because lucid dreaming happens during the REM state. also, robert waggoner’s book Gateway to the Inner Self is really fascinating too!

This soul part is intresting, can you explain it more. Also is soul a magical or non-magical thing? If you take someones soul out, how does it affect them- do they die or do their behaviour changes or they cant perform magic? Is only harry capable of taking out souls? Has harrys power grown compared to before after he took so many souls with him?? Sorry for all these ques- i feels really silly asking them- but your stories leave me no choice. Thanku

Okay, so- Magic is science. That may seem strange, but I’m going to break it down for you a bit, even though it’ll be explained in greater detail later in the story. We’ll use a few different examples.

(It got a lot longer than I expected, so I’m going to put it under a read more)

Harry: Harry is an empath. That means that Harry is able to sense emotions, and, as we’ve seen, manipulate them by draining them. What Harry is actually doing though is manipulating two different things. He has the ability to sense and connect with the synaptic energy in a person’s brain, manipulating the electromagnetic field around himself to actually layer a copy of that activity over his own mind. The other thing he’s manipulating is the different chemicals like serotonin and adrenaline in a person’s brain, blocking and unblocking the sensors that receive those chemicals at will.

Mikey: Mikey has a fairly substantial amount of power with his ability, which is mass manipulation. Mikey alters the carbon molecules in his own body and things touching his body, moving them closer together or further apart according to what he needs to do, whether it be hardening himself or making himself intangible. It takes a great amount of skill and precision to control this ability, as he could very easily make his molecules disperse to the point where he ceases to exist, or making himself so dense that he can’t even move because the covalent bonds between molecules are too tight. He could even accidentally slip into the earth and kill himself by accident, which means he has to precisely control the level of dispersal on his feet in particular.

Barbara: You haven’t actually seen Barbara on-screen yet, but she does indeed have a very interesting power. Barbara has the ability to create barriers of any size, shape and density she needs. She does this through a process similar to what Mikey does, with the manipulation of molecules, though she can’t manipulate her own. She compresses the air around herself, rendering it physically touchable. She can also use this ability to lift or move things by compressing the air around things to pick them up or throw them.

Mali-Koa: Mali is interesting in that she uses a skill that seems very different from most others. Mali has plant manipulation as her power, which doesn’t seem powerful at all, but actually is, because she uses two different kinds of energy for that. Mali can essentially transfer potential energy into living plants, and then use that to speed growth. She can take a seed and turn it into a tree in a matter of moments by taking the stored up kinetic energy of the air and earth, and change that into potential energy that she funnels into the plant, and then returns makes that energy unleash and speed the growth of that organism by hundreds or thousands of times. She can also transfer kinetic energy into plants with more malleable chemical structures like vines, and control them by channeling that energy, allowing her to use them like living ropes.

Now, you may be wondering what happened to make any of this possible, so I’ll go into that too, because it’s necessary to really understand magic in this world. We all know that the Rupture caused magic to come into the world, but very few people understand why. Her insurance company paid for her damages. I was backing out of a parking space and she came flying around the corner and messed up the entire passenger door of her car on my rear bumper. I was not cited on the ticket I received for any accident, only for no insurance. The officer informed me verbally that the accident was my fault only because she had the right of way but that there was nothing they could do about it because of the no fault zone policy. Anyway, now her insurance company is coming after me to collect payment of the $1500 they paid for her damages. I have not agreed to pay this amount because it was a no fault zone and I don't feel I should pay for it. She should not have been going that fast in a busy parking lot with a car full of kids. Although the unofficial technicality states that I was at fault, legally no one was at fault. Her insurance company is also threatening to have my license suspended if I do not pay the amount specified. I did not think that they, as a private company, had the power to have that happen. A friend of mine went to college in New Hampshire. She told me that in New Hampshire the state motto is live free or die and insurance on a car is optional but not required. I'm from New York where people pay out their ears for insurance on cars. I can't imagine that this is true. Is it?

How do the authorities find out that you have no insurance on your car? I know that if you are pulled over or whatever you can be asked to prove you are insured to drive the car and all, that much is obvious. Thing is, I called up to cancel my insurance on a car which isnt working and Im waiting on being scrapped. The insurance company said that its illegal for the car to be on the road without being insured, regardless of wheither or not its being used. As it turns out I am gona have to keep theinsurance for a few extra days until the car is uplifted, but it got me thinking. If Im not using the car then theres no chance Id be pulled over, so is there any actual way that anyone would find out a car in that position wasnt insured? Hi Have a question. My rear bumper was lightly tapped by 17 year old new driver. Damage is minor and cosmetic at $425. My car is only three years old and in perfect condition. The insured provided me all his insurance information and said to file a claim through his dad's insurance carrier. I called local police department 911 line to report minor collision. Officer responded and insured admitted to police officer that he tapped rear bumper. Police officer looked at my rear bumper and refused to make a police report as he said cannot issue a report unless damage is over $1500. I begged the officer repeatedly to please provide me even an incident report or something official like an affidavit as the teenager admitted to officer that he hit my rear bumper. Police Officer simply drove off and left me on the side of the road with a stranger. Of course now four weeks later, the insured and his father have simply ignored phone calls, emails and registered mail attempts by his insurance carrier to verify version. (not sure what version would be needed as my black paint is on his front bumper) I called the insured and his dad hung up on me twice. The insurance carrier told me they are denying and closing out the claim due to insured not responding. They said this is totally legal under Illinois State laws. (basically too bad, so sad) By the way this insurance company has unacceptable rating with state insurance board and BBB. I paid a body shop $425 in cash to fix car yesterday. Do I have recourse as I see my options would be to file a complaint with Illinois Banking and Insurance or file a small claims lawsuit against insured and insurance carrier (but that is an additional $119 court filing fee) Any ideas would be appreciated.""
