Welcome to HLD Tumblr!

With the influx of new followers, many being first-time users, there seems to be a wave of confusion and as a result, asks for a guide on how to navigate this wonderful website. Do not fret for we will give you the basics.

1. HLD Tumblr accounts.

HLD Tumblr has two accounts, the main Tumblr (@hldailyupdate) where the bulk of the content is posted and our media account (@hldmedia). All content posted to media are reblogged to our main account.

2. How to follow accounts.

The top right corner of every blog shows a “FOLLOW” button. Once you’ve followed a blog, it changes into a person icon which means you will be able to see their posts and reblogs on your dashboard.

Don’t forget to turn our notifications on to keep updated with the latest news related to Harry and Louis!

3. Likes, Reblogs, Replies and Shares.

Tumblr is just like any other social media platform! You can share, like, and reblog posts with your comments in the tags. You can do it once or multiple times as there is no limit as to how many times you can interact with a post.

4. Tagging system.

HLD Tumblr has an organized tagging system that enables you to sort the content you would like to see from the blog. Click on the tag you want and it will redirect you to all the related posts.

5. Ask me anything!

HLD Tumblr has “asks” open where you can send content and information. We answer our asks and keep track of them with the tag #our asks.

6. Tumblr lingo.

Here are some of the words that you need to know in order to appreciate Tumblr better:

Dashboard - This is where you can see the posts from all the blogs you follow. If you do not wish to see a specific kind of post, Tumblr users will put trigger warning in their tags which you can use to filter out content.

Reblog - Reblogging a post means you put the post onto your own blog. Tumblr enables users to reblog a post with your addition such us photos, videos, text, caption or anything in general.

Tags - This is a way to use keywords in order to categorize your posts. Tags do not carry over reblogs so it is often used as a way to add personal comments without ruining the blog post.
