With faces? Pretty well! Trein raised him under the "be polite always", "look people in the eyes", "read their expressions carefully" mantras. So Cinder got very adept at studying people's appearances and committing them to memory fast. But, uh, names... he gets too focused on the eye contact and everything else, so the NAMES end up flying by a little muffled. Lucky for him though, our little janitor sometimes has a cheat to this issue . . .

at the dawn that follows - a dbh contrapuntal poem

finally i attempted my very first contrapuntal poem. inspired by the young and talented Ella @16tinyfrogs (writer of "on watching a parent age"). 💙

this poem was written in the povs of connor and hank as they approached the famous end credit scene from the "good" ending.

a contrapuntal poem is a poem that you can read in three ways. in this case, left side is connor's voice, right side is hank's voice, and the overall poem can reflect both of them.

What the heck this fic is so very good bro

The author is realising a new fic, and for me it is incredible beyond words ♣️🐬💙✨️

It is fleshed out so well, and contains extremely rich of dynamics (especially u trey bcs this fic is indeed focused on u ♣️♣️♣️)

I always find it hard to really understand the way trey thinks, and this fic really helps a lot (not that i will indepedently be able to flesh him out now, i would need to consume his organs in a very elaborate ritual first to reach that point)

I sure think that the people who can understand the way trey thinks, are Gods, because that man can be as deep as trench in the ocean when u want him to be

Literally i often get confused by how both of them thinks ♣️🐬 even tho i drew stuff for them

But this author rly knows what they are doing despite saying that they only just jumped into the game recently

U don't know how grateful i am for the small treyjade community in eng fandom to be graced by such presence of an author

Still drives me absolutely bonkers thinking about the moment you first start to change and become human in Lies of P, is the moment after you fight Romeo and go back to the hotel. Sophia notes you don’t look so good after she mentions the necklace Romeo had— the one that says “To Romeo from your friend C”. It visibly affects you and you’re not sure why just yet.

Where only after that, you hear Romeo’s voice whisper “Carlo” and suddenly you have physically changed. Your hair is longer, your shoulders are broader, you have physically been altered because encountering Romeo and hearing him say that name awakened something deep within you that wants out.

And the menu screen where your very heart sits is now the Opera House in flames with a bundle of white stargazer flowers sitting beside it.

Bonkers, man— BONKERS!!
