❤️🤍💭 for the emoji character ask game, if you want to play and you have an character you want to talk about!
💭 - What’s your OC’s MBTI, enneagram, and/or other personality aspects (if known/interested in)?
I’m gonna answer this one first because quite simply - no clue! Personality tests haven’t really been a big deal for Maddox, or even myself since I lost interest in them.
That being said, I DID do a bunch of quizzes as part of a character development challenge, and it’s linked in the google doc shown.
🤍 - What are 3 of your OC’s neutral/negative traits?
Because of the Empire’s top secret experiments, Maddox has certain targeted retrograde amnesia that shattered any trust he could’ve had with it. As for now, that still impacts his memory - though he is recovering from it with help from the Force. But about that memory recovery…
His (self-admitted) limited knowledge on the GFFA can make him both an asset and a hinderance in certain aspects. He knows that the Rebels will win in the end, but his assurance of it can lead him to being cocky and overconfident. It’s easy to have a zealous hopeful streak when you know the end from the beginning.
At the same time, Maddox’s memory recovery isn’t a linear process either. There’s the good and bad memories, and the first bunch of bad ones about who he used to be genuinely sent him on a depressive spiral. If he doesn’t keep himself in check and surround himself with allies and friends, he’ll be prone to being affected by his own grief and despise on his past self.
❤️- What are three of your OC’s positive traits?
Maddox is recently finding that he likes being more physically affectionate in a platonic sense than his past self would’ve, being a complete sucker for hugs and stoked to even just be in the company of friends. Learning and being able to love and love abundantly without hiding it has done good for him, even in espionage.
Related to the above, if he’s put in a team of any kind, he’ll work to make sure that everyone is at least on some version of good terms, and seek to see that everyone is safe as they can be and get the help they need if they aren’t. He may not always get it right, but he cares.
He’s a quick thinker on his feet and even if it doesn’t work, will seek out and put to action a plan of some kind with a bit of improvisation and the Force.

Introducing the Star Wars Reference Wiki!
Tumblr media
Introducing the Star Wars Fic Reference Wiki, a wiki for fic writers by fic writers!
The Star Wars Fic Reference Wiki is intended as a way for fic writers and other fanwork creators to easily look up pertinent information without having to slog through dense paragraphs or comb through categories with dozens or even hundreds of entries with few indicators of what the pages are. Do you want lists? Do you want tables? Do you want easily digestible bullet points? We've got 'em!
We build pages from common questions we or other fic writers have, such as:
All these fics incorporate events from Jedi Apprentice, but what really happened to Obi-Wan Kenobi in Legends?
How do the stories in Revenge of the Sith and The Clone Wars mesh together?
Which characters are LGBTQIA+? Who are some LGBTQIA+ creators who have worked on a Star War? How about a timeline of LGBTQIA+ people and content?
BBY/ABY, BrS/GrS, BFE/AFE... what's the difference between these and all those other calendars? What calendar do characters use before the Battle of Yavin?
What are some idioms or kriffing swears this character could use to sound more Star Wars-y?
Does the GFFA have its own version of a grilled cheese sandwich with tomato soup?
What could be used as a pack animal in one of the many, many deserts?
Why does this fic call him "Yan" or "Glamnor" Dooku? Is her full name Padmé Amidala Naberrie or something else?
How many costumes does Padmé wear? What about other SW costumes?
What are some canonical design options for a Kiffar OC's facial tattoo?
Are these the droids you're looking for?
Are you constantly losing those handy tumblr posts compiling useful resources? We have a permanent page for that!
Tumblr media
(Swears in light mode; LGBTQIA+ characters in dark mode)
We've only recently started building the wiki, and are creating new pages all the time! We'd love help or suggestions for new pages. Have you never edited a wiki before? No problem! We have a tutorial for that. Are you not super confident about your English? No worries! Other wiki editors are here to help! We have a Discord server for the wiki, and side channels for things like SW fic recs and general fan chat.
Thank you for initial brainstorming and showing us there was an interest in and audience for this wiki, from us (facingthenorthwind and immithrax) to you: @nimata-beroya, @cacodaemonia, @elismor, @genericficerblog, @seth-shitposts, @takadasaiko, and @virusq!
Many hands make great wikis, so please, come on over and join us, and check back to see what new things we have in store! If you find our pages useful, we'd also love if you could spread the word, so other people can make use of the resources we've worked hard to create.

I’m bad at tag games but I’m trying out moodboards! Here’s Soph!

Also a bonus one for Maddox because apparently Pinterest doesn’t have as good of a range as I’d like for ‘Maddoxcore’, so this one is far more loose.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
i would’ve tinted the middle lower one to be more yellow/golden but also eh, it’s fine.
also yes i used a sophcore search to finish the board bc. Well. He carries a piece of his sister with him all the time, no?
Open tags to those who wanna jump in!
Choose one of your characters/OC's (one that has a name) and go to pinterest and search "[Name]core" and build a 6-9 picture moodboard for the character based on what shows up. Then tag the same number of people as pictures you chose.
tagged by @rainintheevening!! For this, I'm doing Ettie Winchester (my Supernatural OC. Have I watched the show yet? No. Have I watched a buttload of clips on YouTube? Yes.)

I’m sort of curious why you ship obikin? I personally don’t, and you have asks open so I wanted to hear your thoughts.
Sure, why not!! Thanks for the ask <3
Most of the draw for me comes from a combination of Revenge of the Sith (specifically the choreography of the Mustafar fight, which I’ll explain more in a moment) Deborah Chow’s work in the Obi-Wan Kenobi series, and Matthew Stover’s portrayal of them in the Revenge of the Sith novelization.
On a base level, their characters simply can’t exist without the other, which is deeply interesting in and of itself. In A New Hope, Obi-Wan has to mentor Anakin’s son and give him Anakin’s lightsaber after saving it for all those years, and he has to fall to Vader by his own choice. He has to forgive Anakin and still love him after all that time to teach him how to become a Force ghost when Anakin is dying in RotJ. And at the end of the movie, it’s an overwhelmingly happy moment to see them together again as ghosts smiling, standing with one another, and watching over Luke. Their characters have been so closely intertwined since the original films, and every bit of content we’ve gotten since then capitalizes on that so much.
I hope you don’t mind me bringing pictures because… I have pictures.
Coming around to prequels content, one of my favorite Obikin tidbits comes from a 2019 interview with Nick Gillard (Revenge of the Sith fight choreographer who did the work for the Mustafar fight). Here’s a screenshot from an article discussing the interview with a quote from Gillard:
Tumblr media
You can read more in-depth about that interview here in a great post by @/gffa.
There are more key quotes from the interview here, including bangers such as:
“I did write it [Mustafar fight] like a husband and wife having a fight. Anakin thinks Obi is maybe having an affair with Padmé at that point. So he’s already gone to the dark side. And for Obi, it’s just about trying to absorb it long enough that he can get him back.”
“My take on the whole duel was that Obi-Wan is the central character in that duel. He wouldn’t try and kill Anakin. The way I saw that fight was like having a fight with your girlfriend. That she’s just lost it and that she’s coming at you with everything she’s got. […] So you try to defend her as long as you can until she breaks down. Then you can give her a cuddle.“
These quotes admittedly make me giggle a bit because. What do you mean you framed it like a husband and wife/boyfriend and girlfriend having a fight. That imagery is just so funny to me. But seriously, I do think it really emphasizes how much they still do love each other even as they’re fighting so brutally—Obi-Wan can’t bring himself to do anything more than defend, and the idea that Anakin fighting Obi-Wan equates to him fighting the good side of himself is heartbreaking. The fact that fighting him is literally like fighting part of himself is insane.
Anakin’s fear of Padmé and Obi-Wan having an affair is also mentioned in that interview, and funny enough, the Obidala affair was actually supposed to be canon in from what we can tell is George Lucas’s original draft of the prequels. It sounds almost absurd because of the prequels we ended up getting, simply because Padmé and Obi-Wan as we know them—would just never do that. Even if they were framed to have feelings for each other, I don’t believe their characters as they are could ever bring themselves to act on those feelings because they love Anakin too much. He’s undoubtedly the axis of the prequel trio. What was originally supposed to be a love triangle with Padmé as the axis ends up looking much more like a love triangle with Anakin as the axis.
But anyway! That’s the movie side of it. I don’t know if you’ve read the novelization or not, but personally I like it even more than the movie. That’s not to say the movie isn’t great, but what does it for me is how much Stover gets Anakin’s character. He makes Anakin… make more sense? He makes his motivations and his fall as a whole more sympathetic and understandable to the reader, I think. He also expands on Anakin’s relationships with Obi-Wan, Padmé, and Palpatine, and the way in which he portrays Obi-Wan's relationship with him and their feelings about each other in general is very… oddly romantic? Tragically romantic? Their banter is sweet to read in the first several chapters regardless of whether you view them platonically or not, too.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Okay look I have a lot of pictures of this book, it ruined me as a human being)
Finally, there’s the Obi-Wan Kenobi show, which is entirely about Obi-Wan and Anakin in Anakin’s Vader era. Once again, you have a lot of comments from the creator elevating that husband and wife/boyfriend and girlfriend sort of dynamic brought up by Gillard:
Tumblr media
First of all: ok girl wow 😳 This topic came up in the interview because Chow was asked how she managed to convince the Disney execs to let her bring the character of Darth Vader into the show—because, you know, it’s Darth Vader! The face of the Star Wars saga! You can’t just throw him into anything (or, well, you could, I wouldn’t complain)—and this was her selling point. A show about Obi-Wan would be incomplete without Anakin because Anakin is his biggest love story and his biggest heartbreak in the series. Both the OG and prequel trilogies really are defined by the relationship between Obi-Wan and Anakin—everything begins and ends with them. And it was heart wrenching to watch this scene in the OWK show after all the movies have given us.
Tumblr media
”I am not your failure, Obi-Wan” is a major line in their story. That’s the scene where we see Obi-Wan finally accept that his Anakin is gone and the best way for him to keep loving him is to honor him and love him as he was (shown when we see Obi-Wan in the OG trilogy speaking of Anakin to Luke so fondly, telling him he was the “best star pilot in the galaxy” and “a good friend”). And Anakin as he knew him briefly showed himself to give him that peace. In that scene, the red of Vader’s lightsaber reflected on his face recedes and is replaced by the blue glow of Obi-Wan’s saber as he says the words “I am not your failure, Obi-Wan. You didn’t kill Anakin Skywalker—I did.” …at which point the red glow returns to prominence. But however briefly when he said those words, he was Anakin and he was giving Obi-Wan permission to let go of the idea that he killed Anakin, or caused him to become Darth Vader. He was the only person who could give Obi-Wan that freedom, and he did. In the strangest way possible, he freed Obi-Wan, and Obi-Wan was finally able to return the favor and free him years later in death, allowing them to reunite and to free Anakin of his broken-down body and look like himself again as a young man before he fell.
I don’t have a picture in my camera roll, but I believe if memory serves, Palpatine tells Dooku in the RotS novelization that Anakin will never fully be in the camp of the Sith as long as Obi-Wan lives, which is why Dooku targeted Obi-Wan so fiercely in the duel against him and Anakin and then Palpatine asked Anakin to leave Obi-Wan so they could evacuate the ship, at which point Anakin glared at him and said “His fate will be the same as ours.” Palpatine was right about that. Anakin is never able to let go of his past when he’s Vader, and largely it is because Obi-Wan still lives. Even once Obi-Wan finally dies and joins the Force before Anakin’s eyes, Vader doesn’t feel triumph or finally cut Anakin Skywalker out—he is said in another novelization to be felt light years away by Yoda as a beacon of loneliness and grief in the Force. Luke is the last piece he has of both Padmé and Obi-Wan, because while Luke is of course Padmé’s son, it was Obi-Wan who taught him, and thus Vader repeats multiple times in the OG trilogy that Luke has a lot of Obi-Wan's influence in him. It’s Luke who enables Anakin to break free from the chains of the dark side and defeat his abuser and groomer after years of manipulation.
That’s all to say—the story of Obi-Wan and Anakin is so rich, tragic, beautiful, and expansive, it’s easy to feel drawn to it in any capacity; I specifically see the possibility of them loving one another in a romantic light due to all those aforementioned references to them being deliberately set up in the story as lovers, as well as the fact that their dynamic is just incredibly fun and interesting and it’s easy to explore the possibilities of them in all different contexts. They’re uniquely fucked up and obsessive about each other with Anakin being (paraphrasing) blinded by his feelings for his old Master (as said by Palpatine) and Obi-Wan essentially having Anakin and only Anakin as an outlet for his grief after Qui-Gon’s death. The best part about them is that their story never ends. It started with the original trilogy with Alec Guinness and James Earl Jones, bloomed in the prequels with Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensen, and has since been revisited and expanded upon over and over in novels, comics, and of course, the TV shows bringing back Ewan and Hayden. It’s possible they’ll even be on the screen as Obi-Wan and Anakin again—Hayden is already confirmed to be set for Ahsoka Season 2, and it’s entirely possible Ewan appears alongside him in more of Ahsoka’s Clone Wars flashbacks. The love story stretches over so much media and material over the course of nearly 50 years (48 currently) that it’s impossible to run out of ideas for them. The story tells itself.

Hello. You and GFFA are probably the two most reliable blogs I know when it comes to what GL actually intended with star wars and also have the most on point finger on the pulse of fandom and such without letting the discourse get to you. So I just have to ask. Where does the idea of the jedi being space cops come from in canon? Especially in more left leaning circles. Haven't they seen that there are indeed actual cops in SW? And who are portrayed like how leftists view cops?
Hey there!
Firstly, it's always an honor when someone puts me and Lumi in the same sentence 😃 been a while since I reminded people, but my blog started because I read hers (and a few others) and I was like "oh shit she makes great points!" and started doing the research on my own.
I mostly attribute my rediscovering my childhood love for the Jedi to her early meta posts. Like, you think I'm good, wait til she gets started again! So thank you, for that!
Onto the subject itself: I've seen the notion pop up in all circles. And it's not exactly wrong, it's just not entirely accurate.
You can find a large collection of George Lucas quotes here, about the Jedi's place in the Republic.
You will see that he uses varying terminology and that's what I think partially muddies the waters.
For example, early on, Lucas describes them as "police officers", but years later he says "they're not cops, they're Marshalls of the Old West" but actually "they're mafia dons" or "intergalactic therapists."
But the one that explains it best, for me, is the following:
"They're not like [the kind of] cops who catch murderers. They're warrior-monks who keep peace in the universe without resorting to violence. The Trade Federation is in dispute with Naboo, so the Jedi are ambassadors who talk both sides and convince them to resolve their differences and not go to war. If they do have to use violence, they will, but they are diplomats at the highest level. They've got the power to send the whole force of the Republic, which is 100,000 systems, so if you don't behave they can bring you up in front of the Senate. They'll cut you off at the knees, politically. They're like peace officers. As the situation develops in the Clone Wars they are recruited into the army, and they become generals. They're not generals. They don't kill people. They don't fight. They're supposed to be ambassadors." - The Star Wars Archives: 1999-2005, 2020
Bottom line: yes, they're authority figures. But they're not "beat cops" chasing after robbers and criminals.
They're, first and foremost, ambassadors/negotiators/diplomats. They're police for planets and their governments, not the people of the Republic. Again:
They're peace officers.
Now, they can investigate and take more active "police-like" roles during their mandate, but they're not gonna be called upon to investigate a murder (unless that murder is very strange and local authorities are unable to make sense of it).
It's why, when Anakin is talking about "we'll search for the killer, Padmé" Obi-Wan is like "uuuuh... no we won't?"

I know I'm late to the game, but IF EVER you're still up for a prompt, how about a royal/commoner (or jedi if gffa) with obikin?
Thanks, anon! 💗 This is more Jedi meets Jedi who doesn't KNOW it yet. Hope it still satisfies~

“Now, I need you to stay focused on the card.”
The Namara nodded, black eyes locked on the card held up in front of him. “It’s a—”
“Don’t tell me what it is,” Anakin said quickly. “It defeats the purpose. Just memorize it. Got it?”
The Namara nodded again. “Got it.”
Slipping the card back into the pile, Anakin began shuffling them quickly. Around them a small crowd had formed, all eyes on the preceding. Most of them were tourists from Republic planets, keen to experience what life was like on the Outer Rim, and almost all of them had more money than sense. Anakin was always more than willing to give them a ‘taste’ of what life was like out on the great frontier.
It was a time honoured tradition. Eat a bit of grilled meat from a street vendor, take in the sights of the beautiful rock canyons, get pick pocketed, and enjoy an evening beneath the stars while an eopie warbled next to your tent.
While Anakin shuffled, he focused on the purse tied to the Namara’s belt. It felt heavy when he tugged at it with his mind. Good. He’d picked the right target.
“Keep your eyes on the cards,” Anakin repeated as he slowly undid the knots with his mind, loosening it just enough that a sharp tug would bring it loose. Stopping his shuffling, Anakin closed his eyes and hovered his hand above, putting on a show for the audience. Wiggling his fingers, he lifted the card up and showed it to the Namara. “Is this your card?”
The Namara let out a laugh. “No, it’s not!”
The crowd joined in, their laughter masking the sound of the Namara’s credit purse as it slipped a little further off his belt. Smiling benignly, Anakin looked around the group. Most of them seemed caught up in the joined mockery, eyes sparkling with amusement. Anakin didn’t let it get to him, and waited for the laughter to die down before he let out a low groan.
“Oh, I forgot to say the famous incantation.” Grabbing the deck, Anakin blew on it quickly before shouting a nonsensical word. The room went silent, and with another flourish, Anakin stood up and threw the cards against the opposite wall. As the cards fell, one stuck to the wall.
“That’s my card!” the Namara yelled.
Joyful chaos erupted, shouts of excitement and laughter breaking out all around. In the cacophony, Anakin loosened the purse fully and levitated it into his waiting hand just beneath the table. Pocketing it quickly, he stood up from his chair and made his way through the crowd to collect his cards. If he left immediately it would raise suspicions, but if he stayed for too long the Namara would notice his purse was gone. It was a delicate balance - one Anakin had learned through trial and error.
Lots of error.
“Well done!” one of the observers said, his hand firm on Anakin’s shoulder.
“Yes! Very well done!” Another cried, her voice carrying through the chatter. “How did you do it?”
Pulling the card from the wall, Anakin stuffed it back in the pack before he nudged his way through the crowd. “A wizard never reveals his tricks,” Anakin said, winking at the tourist before he slipped through the open door and into the dusty streets.
Blending into the people walking through the market, Anakin weaved his way easily through the throng. The credits he stole rested heavy in his pocket, clinking together in a way that Anakin never got tired of hearing. This would get him a few good meals and help pay his rent for the month, tying him over until his next mechanics job kicked in at the end of the week.
If Watto was good on his word.
It wasn’t until Anakin was a block away from the bar that he realized he was being followed.
Little pin-pricks of curiosity skittered through the air, landing on the top of Anakin’s skull as he weaved through the swell of people. Chancing a glance behind him, Anakin couldn’t make anyone of note out in the crowd, but the feeling of curiosity continued, chasing him through the winding streets. Taking a left and then a sharp right, Anakin continued down the streets before he slipped into the alcove of a doorway.
A man in thick robes walked past.
Anakin let out a soft breath.
The man stopped.
The feeling of curiosity spiked, dancing across Anakin’s tongue. Swallowing it down, he watched as the man turned. Their eyes locked - light blue with dark.
The man clearly wasn’t from Tatooine, his skin too pale and hair too light to survive the harsh summers. The skin across his cheeks and the tip of his nose was slightly burned, with freckles dotted across in a chaotic pattern. His hair shone like copper beneath the sun that broke through the latticework above, slips of grey spreading out from his temples like tendrils of smoke. When he smiled, it was sly.
Anakin glared.
“Why are you following me?” Anakin asked sharply. He could easily exist the courtyard if he wanted to - most people didn’t stand a chance against Anakin when he truly wanted something. Hit as quick and as fast as you could, and don’t give in until they stop moving.
“Who said I was following you?” the man said.
His accent dripped of wealth and security. The man was from Coruscant - there was no mistaking it. Anakin heard it often enough from the fat cats who came down to roll in the muck now and again; to see how the poor lived when their lives of privilege became too boring.
Glaring further, Anakin shifted his weight. “Don’t play stupid with me.”
The man’s hands came out then, broad and relaxed. “I didn’t mean to scare you.”
“You haven’t scared me.”
“Oh?”
“You’re just annoying me.”
The man smiled again. As he moved his arms back down, Anakin caught sight of a weapon against his hip - long and metallic, humming with an energy that made Anakin’s teeth ache a little. It felt both familiar and foreign. It felt dangerous.
For the first time in a long while, Anakin was unsure about his odds of winning.
“That was quiet the trick you did back there,” the man continued.
“Thanks.”
“How did you do it?”
“Just a slight of hand.”
“I wasn’t talking about your card trick.” When Anakin didn’t respond, the man continued. “Have you always been able to levitate credits from the pockets of unsuspecting tourists?”
Shrugging, Anakin glanced at the wall behind the man. It was lower than the rest of the walls in the courtyard. If he had to, Anakin could run to it and try and get over it. He might not have been as light as he was when he was twelve, but he could still be nimble when he needed to be. “Call it a natural talent.”
The man tilted his head to the side. He gave Anakin a once-over, gaze lingering on Anakin in a way that made Anakin feel at once very small, and very precious. The energies around him crackled like the embers of a fire waiting to rage.
“Natural talent,” the man repeated. Stepping forward, he stopped just a few feet from Anakin. “Is that what you call it?”
“Sure. Would you call it something different?”
The opportunity for escape was getting narrower, yet Anakin didn’t want to run or fight. Not yet. For some reason the man no longer felt dangerous. For some reason, he felt… kindred.
Their eyes locked, and when the man spoke, Anakin felt it more than he heard it. “I think I’d call it the Force,” the man said.
Suddenly it all made sense. The blade at the man’s hip, the way in which he spoke, moved, commanded yet deferred. The energy around and between and inside of them both.
“You’re a Jedi,” Anakin said.
The man bowed. “Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi.”
Anakin remained where he was, offering no such civility in response. Jedi weren’t common; in fact, many in the galaxy thought they were made up heroes in epic tales, dreamed up by the destitute and famished, who longed to be unique amongst their peers. But Anakin knew better. They existed, they loved and laughed, fought and defended. And they ignored, and looked the other way, and stayed out of places like this, away from people like him.
“What are you doing here?” Anakin asked as Obi-Wan raised his head.
Obi-Wan paused then, as if the answer to Anakin’s question remained unknown even to him, before he spoke. “For some time now - decades, in fact - I’ve felt a calling through the Force, as if someone was reaching out to me. I tried to ignore it for a time, yet it persisted, growing stronger every year until I could barely breath without feeling its ache. It felt as if I was missing something - as if there was a part of me that was taken from me, but ought not to have been.” Stepping even closer, Obi-Wan reached out and touched Anakin’s cheek. Anakin didn’t turn from him. “I finally followed that feeling, letting it tug me ever closer to the source. Until one day I ended up here.”
The vibration of Anakin’s skin made him ache, his jaw clenched tight, lungs caught against his ribs. His heart rattled in his chest, making quick pace with another’s beat. Reaching up, Anakin wrapped his hand around Obi-Wan’s wrist to feel the matching rhythm.
Anakin had been alone in the world for a long time, and for the first time in what felt like an eternity, his hunger abated.
“What is your name?” Obi-Wan asked quietly.
“Anakin.”
Obi-Wan let out a soft, soulful sigh. Relief shuddered through the air, and Anakin closed his eyes, sinking into the sensation of completeness.

GAR ALL PERSONNEL BROADCAST
Tumblr media
Pairing: This is the most random mix possible. From RCs to my own OCs (fully developed ones you can meet in my fics) and new faces I made up on the spot.
Summary: Not my first time making clone group chats, but my first time posting one as a standalone! It’s exactly what it sounds like: millions of clones stuck in one galaxy-wide all-personnel group chat. GFFA data service and tech are apparently so powerful. You leave the chat for one minute and there’s already +6000 messages. Absolutely unmanageable. Mods are barely holding it together.
Mod list: Boss, Cody, Alpha-17, Bacara, Jesse (somehow he made it among officers), Gree, Sinker (somehow he made it too), Ordo, Fi
Warnings: nothing. Crack ahead. EVERYONE LIVES.
Taglist: @orangez3st - also because this crack came up in our chat 💀

Hello! Thank you again for answering my question about Jedi quarter doors having locks. I was wondering if personal photos are a thing in the gffa? I think I remember Ezra maybe having a picture of his family and there are of course paintings and portraits of people, but I can’t remember of personal photos are a thing. Thank you in advance if you end up answering!
Hi! This one took me a bit, because I really had to think about it, and ultimately I've come to the same conclusion: It's kind of up to you! You're right that Ezra had a holo of his parents but I don't think we've ever seen it in universe as anything but a holo. (You can find it as a picture in some reference books, but they're not in-universe.)
Tumblr media
In Attack of the Clones, there are a couple of deleted scenes where they go to Padme's house on Naboo and all the pictures on the wall (including one in the dining room, as well as Padme's bedroom) are holos as well:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
On the other hand, Hera has the physical painting of her family and Luke and Rey had the old Jedi physical books/texts, so we know physical forms do exist! But we don't really see that much paper in the GFFA, sure, it exists in books/comics as flimsi (or flimsiplast), but we don't really actually see it much, which-- oh, wait, okay, so you have just sent me down an awful rabbit hole here, because! I always assumed that flimsi and paper were the same thing--and they probably are to most authors in Lucasfilm, I'd bet--but the novel "The Rebellion Begins" by Michael Kogge says they're actually different things:
Tumblr media
Which blew my mind! But doesn't answer the question, other than that paper and flimsi were pretty rare, but not totally unheard of. So that made me think, okay, personal photos were a thing, because physical material seemed to be seen as extremely rare/outdated, but then I remembered, there are posters plastered all along the walls in The Clone Wars in the Underworld:
Tumblr media
I guess we can't say for sure those are paper or flimsi, but they sure do look like it to me. And the animators probably weren't thinking that hard about worldbuilding (flimsi has only ever appeared in the comics/novels, I think...?) so I think it's a mistake to try to insist that Star Wars is coherent when it comes to these things, and thus that ultimately means: Up to you! We've never seen paper/flimsi personal photos in Star Wars that I can remember, the two instances we do have in visual media are digital pictures, but there's content in TCW that such a thing could exist if you wanted, so pick whichever works for you! If pressed, I would say that someone could go out of their way to make a paper/flimsi photo of someone, but it would be an effort on their part and considered hundreds of years out of date, but, you know, some people like old-fashioned, less efficient things because they like the feel of them!

I have some art to share with you 🥲 It is a gift from cherished friend @deliquesaint 💖
Isn’t it amazing?! 🥹 That’s me! And them! It is based off my comic con photo from last year ♥️💙
Tumblr media
This is such a neat idea. I love that Anakin is wearing Hayden’s signature cap; I wouldn’t have it any other way. And accented with the open circle symbol!?! Couldn’t. Be. More. Perfect 🙌 …not like I have that symbol tattooed on my body or anything 😅 And did you see their rings?! I love the details on the shirt, too - the addition of Anakin’s scar & Obi-Wan’s beard, and the Skywalker & Kenobi names! AU alert! Photo Op in a GFFA! 😍 I bet the boys would be very gracious, just like Hayden and Ewan 💕
Thank you so much for this treasure, my friend. It is so well done, and I absolutely adore it. I am grateful to you, in more ways than one 🩷

13 and 3 for the ask game, perhaps??
3. What tropes do you like writing about the most? (´▽`ʃƪ)
That's honestly a good question, now that I look over my works, both original and fic. I think the thing that crops up the most in both sections is legacy - legacy characters, roles and how we all deal with it and inherit it. I think it really comes from my own experience of being the first freeborn daughter of two different families who escaped Communist Romania prior to the revolution, and the struggles they had to get their freedom. It gives me a lot to think on family legacy in my case, both ancestral and more personal, as I have found myself associating with my mom's inheritance more than I could my dad's.
In the Eagle's Cross Eddsworld universe, Cora and her siblings in the titular series have different ways of reacting to and embracing their ancestors' adventurous, if admittedly outlandish, histories and personalities. In 'The Christmas Calamity,' Jaxx (one of the main characters) is first trying to outright refuse it, but eventually comes to fall in love with it on his own terms and terms he has to redefine. Cora herself in 'The Eagle's Cross' has still to unravel some (honestly very opaque) mysterious past with her ancestors and dragging in her little sister and her own best friend into it.
In my own original detective show, the main detective and her 'Watson' partner are chasing after her hero's own mysteries to solve and eventually have to come up and fight against his enemies; leading the way to find out that her hero's adventures, mysteries and stories entwine closely to her own history and potentially taking up the mantle he sacrificed to save her life.
With Maddox Darling and his adventures in the Galaxy Far Far Away, it's more subtle. The Peter Pan references and links are on purpose, but they're not direct or in-your-face (his surname, the pin he constantly wears from his sister, etc). That being said, while he does have Peter Pan tendencies, his role is more of a Wendy Darling situation, honestly. He'll grow up eventually, but it doesn't mean he'll forget his loves nor stop adventuring. His legacy is more about what he leaves behind on the galaxy's inhabitants circa the Imperial and Rebellion era, but also the kind of legacy they leave on him and how he'll eventually take it home. That's why I love doing RP with him, because he's literally quite a character to Throw Into Situations and I'm figuring out his canon as I go along.
13. Drop a playlist for a story! ♪♡♪
Speaking of Maddox, here's his (slightly old) origin story playlist! I'd crafted it when I was very early on in writing him and did it as part of a character challenge to develop him a little more, so I'll be explaining songs in chapters under the cut.

Love me Again [part 1]
[Obikin fanfic | soulmates in GFFA | angst with fluff]
[part 1 | part 2 | ... ]
723 words.
***.
I loved you.
His mother cleaned the wound, her gaze flitting from the sluggishly bleeding laceration to his face and back. Using animal senses, an inexplicable intuition, or an impossible sixth sense, Anakin knew she wanted to talk about it.
Too bad Anakin didn't. His lips pulled into a scowl, his eyes narrowing as his features set into a stubborn pout.
His mother didn't know things like Anakin did, but she knew him. So, she sighed, concerned and tired. Anakin won, but he could win the fight and still lose the war. Guilt settled in Anakin's stomach, a snake that coiled and hissed, baring its venomous fangs.
Its defense was a lethal attack.
I loved you.
The din of the slave quarters was white noise, a background sound so familiar it functioned as a lullaby. Now, it filled an uncomfortable silence.
Finally, his mother put the swab of bloody cotton aside, reaching for a strip of fabric torn from an old tunic instead.
I loved you.
As she bandaged his right forearm, the three words disappeared. Anakin's shoulders slumped, the spots behind his shoulder blades tingling with released tension.
"All done," his mother said, patting his head gently.
"Thanks, Mom," Anakin said, and his mother's lips quirked funnily. Caught between fondness, concern, and guilt.
It didn't matter.
I loved you.
Anakin Skywalker had a soulmate, and he would meet them one day. Most people never met theirs, but he would meet them one day. The love declaration adorning his forearm dictated so.
Anakin Skywalker also knew he would lose his soulmate.
I loved you.
His mother told him he had had the mark since his birth, his destiny predetermined by a universe that had pointed at him and said: you, little one, are made to suffer.
Because Anakin Skywalker's soulmate would only declare their love when it was already ground to dust. It was a futile love, doomed from the beginning because fate had said so.
I loved you.
Once upon a time, in a future yet to pass.
The Aurebesh characters mocked him, but Anakin hungered all the same. Oh, his soulmate's first declaration of love would be an ending to a tale, but the tragic finale etched into the fleshy part of his right forearm promised him this: Anakin Skywalker would meet his soulmate.
And his soulmate would love him.
He was wretched, for this love wasn't made to last, but his soulmate would love him nonetheless. He couldn't change this future.
The wound on his forearm scarred.
I loved you
His mother frowned when she looked at his soul mark. Both knew why Anakin had cut into his arm, his tongue caught between his teeth in concentration, coincidentally also masking the pained grunts. They knew some wounds were invisible, the scars on Anakin's skin only hiding what festered underneath.
It didn't matter. If nothing ever amounted to anything, if Anakin was doomed to be miserable and alone, he wouldn't ever care.
***.
Anakin Skywalker had believed the confession on his forearm was most wretched, most miserable. However, he considered Obi-Wan Kenobi when making this assessment.
One morning, early in his apprenticeship, Obi-Wan had raised a cup of tea to his lips, and his sleeve had fallen back to reveal text in a neat print.
I hate you!
Anakin had gasped, and Obi-Wan had given him one of those sardonic smiles. Scared that Obi-Wan would change his mind about teaching him, Anakin didn't say anything.
Yet, the words bothered him.
Only the first declaration of love, that very first confession, would show on a person's skin. Arguably, screaming at someone you hated them seemed counterproductive.
It wasn't a declaration of love.
In his room, Anakin pulled his sleeve back to reveal the scribble on his forearm. The scar had grown old, a thin white line. Barely visible across the elegant letters delivering a damning message.
I hate you!
I loved you.
***.
I can't give regular Wednesday WIPs on my current project (you'll understand why when I post the first chapter in a few weeks). But trust that the sand cat Obikin fic is progressing nicely. Instead, I figured I could post something else on Wednesdays in the meantime.
For now, it'll only be on Tumblr, but I might add it on AO3 at some point, and then the priority changes. Anyway, enough rambling.

hello! i just want to say i absolutely adore your fics, im new to your blog and new to the star wars fandom in general but you’re fics make me absolutely feral.
anyways i just read through the cheating au tag and first of all: absolutely delicious. it’s so good. and second of all: all i can think about is during the part where obi-wan is flirting with the waitress and anakin goes to the bathroom to confront him and like. what if there was a random restaurant patron also in the bathroom staying. So Silent. just listening to these two men yelling at each other and being like “YOOOOOO at least one of these men is married and his wife is sitting at a table outside and her husband is making out with some guy in the bathroom. some guy that they obviously came with.”
i imagine that random patron went back to their table with the gossip of the century. and little do they even know that one of those men is a well known senator and the other is a well known senators husband.
ahhh first of all thank you for the love 🙏 and secondly im obsessed with the idea of random strangers getting all the gossip about obi-wan and anakin in the cheating au with either a) no idea that this people are famous or adjacently famous or b) no horses in the race so they’re like well. hope that resolves itself fast 🤷‍♀️
now I’m imagining it like the Ben affleck/matt Damon of the gffa (“Senator kenobi caught leaving Senator amidala’s husband’s private speed cruiser looking VERY windswept….which could mean nothing”)
and there’s like people who very genuinely believe something is up because around people not his wife anakin is very bad at hiding his affair so shopkeepers know and waitresses know and hotel staff know etc etc and padmé’s like a little bit suspicious at this point but if anakin were having an affair with her mentor who is also a senator they’d definitely have more discretion than this so if anything it’s funny that their friendship is being so horribly and galactically misconstrued. maybe if she and anakin were to go on a date and obi-wan tag along, people will see how different anakin treats her in direct comparison to how he treats obiwan :)
(even satine who promised to herself not to intervene is like girl. real eyes realize…..)
