“ppl & feelings can’t be bound down”~

What an ep for my girl tohru! She completed her growth thanks to kyo’s rejection. really, It was so hard, cruel, understandable but above all so necessary for her to reach a logical realistic conclusion that “I can love/want things from the bottom of my heart, but at the end I can’t force or bound them to me, I won’t regret loving/wanting them, but I’ll move forward regardless, no more standing still”.

-The fear of being alone:

Aren’t we all? We’re scared to face the word after breaking bonds, changing, not getting what we want, having to start over. Such feelings run deeper into us all. Both tohru & akito were scared to face the word without the old comfortable bond that they got used to:

Tohru realized today, that she cant keep talking to a cold photo, can’t live according to her mom’s expectations, to fulfill her mom’s wishes, can’t narrate her daily life to her mom & fill her life with other ppl’s own issues to distract her self from facing her own loneliness & from looking deeper into what should she do with her life. As she fell in love with kyo, tohru started talking to him! forgetting to inform her mom abt her life’s details, thinking abt what will she do “after graduation?”. As kyo asked in se02, ep2. Graduating highschool is ur mom’s wish, What would u wanna do after?” Tohru didnt have a response of “an after”cuz her mom wasnt there to tell her! Tohru has to choose “the after” herself!!!! “The after” was being with kyo & starting life together! figuring what to do next together! She no longer alone! she found her most precious person!

Except: he cant be with her. Again tohru is scared. What to do now! she wanted a bond but is forced to leave it. Loving kyo was stage 1 to be free from her grief. Moving forward without kyo is stage 2 to learn not to repeat the painful journey again! She didnt let go of her mom & kyo easily. It was hard, scary but she must do it. You must respect their wishes & move on. As scared as she is, there will be sadness & happiness ahead.

Akito realized she cant keep an empty box, cant keep fulfilling her dad’s wishes to “be loved & special” cant bound the zodiacs to her for good. They may love her or not, it doesn't matter, if they wish to leave for whatever reason, she cant force them to stay.

Except now that the zodiacs are leaving, what does she have to live for? who will be with her? she isnt good with strangers? she never met anyone who wasnt forced to obey her & be grateful for her. Strangers cant be forced to love her! what will she do now? stretch you hand for a greeting. Tohru told her, make a friend, they might refuse you, but hey might accept u too, I’ll make it easy, Hi, I;m tohru, whats ur name?

The power of true love: ( reality vs fiction)

In fairy tales, the princess fix the prince. the prince save the princess. The prince kiss the princess, she wakes up & they be happy ever after. Except real life has no prince & princess, You cant always be saved, you cant always save others, pure intense true love cant always be the answer!

Yuki was first when tohru needed physical saving. he saved her twice! Yuki’s nickname in school ”the prince”. Yuki is always cool, thoughtful & kind. Yuki always knew what to say & do! he deserves tohru’s romantic love more than kyo, right? But “ppl & feelings can’t be bound down”~ . Yuki didn't feel this way towards tohru, granted no one (excepts kakeru) knows the reason why he loves her fondly (she’s his mom figure). The official” prince isnt the one for her. Real life isn’t a fairy tale. Yuki has someone who sees he isn’t cool, perfect or a prince “ granted no one knows abt machi, yet! ) XD

In tohru monologue: she didnt think abt saving, that's not why she loves kyo. She stated normal, silly, mundane things! a shy smile, awkward kindness & the likes. Stuff ppl love abt each other in real life. You dont say, I love my husband cuz he saved me from a burning building in the 7th floor! lol. But fiction is so full of this. Princes saving princesses.

Tohru didnt fix kyo, too! as much as her love helped him greatly to find hope, the best writing choice is that tohru’s love also brought despair to kyo! To him, she’s the symbol of hope, peace & comfort! she’s also, the symbol of despair, torment & unease! EPIC! The kyo who’s stuck in the past cant be with her, the kyo who will move beyond trauma, abuse & broken soul will be with her. The duality is all on kyo’s shoulder: what will he choose? Can he choose in his state now?

In fairy tales the princess wakes up after the kiss. In real life, we don't. Tohru didn’t. Regardless if she fainted during or after the kiss. The kiss fixed nothing. Kyo’s despair in seeing near-dead tohru in a not-so-subtle mimic to his nightmare, has manifested itself into the sweetest kiss upon seeing her conscious & talking. Kyo isnt good with words, his actions are his words. When he’s scared, sad, in trauma: running away. when he’s  fond of her, grateful for her existence: head knock, head pats, hand holding & a kiss. Still the kiss fixed nothing. Kyo is still traumatized more than ever now. Tohru still feels rejected “even if I’m not with you, plz live”.

Talking fixes everything. It didn’t here, kyo & tohru talked & showed their most vulnerable side to the other, but still didn’t meet half ways, regardless of all the love. That’s cuz they keep missing each other’s best timing. Kyo is stuck in the past while tohru has moved forward. even if in her mind she’s the one who stood & he moved. this shows they aren’t on the same wave yet. Before meeting each other again, kyo must learn from his mistake like tohru did. He must face his ultimate demon: his dad. The one who created the current broken kyo.

Rebelling against parents: ( sign of growth & freedom of choice):

Rebelling against parents  is a sign of a desire to choose one’s path, decide one’s own future. Away to express an oppressed desire.

Yuki rebelled against his mom in se02. he told her I’m not going to the college you chose. I’ll chose my path. I’m not staying away from Ayame. My bro is good in my book. I chose who I want to be with. He told her what he needed, turned his back & moved forward.

Tohru rebelled against her mom today. told her I’m not wasting myself doing only what you I think you’ll approve off. You might bot forhet kyo, thats ur choice, But I DO. I love him even if you might not approve of him, Even if he rejected me, my feelings wont change, but I’ll move forward from the grief & pain. mother. She told her what he needed, turned his back & moved forward.

Kyo WILL rebelled against his disgusting dad. He MUST. It is his turn now. He’ll tell him I’m not wasting myself being locked in a cage. I have a future! I’m not a monster. I am LOVED! I might not 100% sure why I’m loved, but the truth cant be hidden. I have ppl who love me! cheer for me! I want to live! enough of death! mom & kyoko died, tohru nearly did, but I’m not gonna die! I’m not killing ME! I’‘ll do what MOM didnt do! I’ll do what YOU couldn't do! I’ll live! He’ll tell him what he needed, turned his back & moved forward.  I cant wait! I’m in tears just thinking abt it! Kyo was punished enough! time for happiness!

Side Notes:

While I’m impressed with tohru’s growth, as they did her justice in this ep, this doesn’t erase that the buildup for tohru’s own journey & trauma was mediocre. There is a reason ppl commented ” omg tohru, you can love your mom AND kyo!. ” Grief is illogical, long process & it sucks that we weren’t allowed to experience tohru’s grief & her mom’s role in tohru’s abandonment issues. Huge lost opportunity that a good conclusion ep cant erase! but like tohru, I’m moving on ~

The path of growth for kyo will start by rejecting the demon: his dad. No. other. option. Hold abusers accountable for their crimes. Stop their madness. Tell them off.

We know kyo is baka! that’s his trade mark, the endearing baka! a lot of characters in the show think so! I love it, but I’m craving baka-yuki! XD! really, yuki is cool, level-headed & smart, but let him be baka too! this only shows up in tiny microscopic doses, but they’re my fave doses of yuki! it humanizes the “perfect prince”, the “gifted high status rat”! Thus him not seeing kyo running the other side, is my fave look on him! XD.

I appreciate that kyo & yuki put their differences aside when they’re with tohru. You cant tell yuki is hella pissed off with kyo, but he restrained himself. His gaze while full of anger is also full of sympathy as he heard/saw kyo’s panic upon the thought of loosing tohru. He understand they both only mean the best for each other, but also tried they both keep missing each other & not meeting half way! Also, yuki being the only one in the hospital is realistic & endearing. No need for them all to be there & yuki lives with her & is so close to her.

kyo not being the hospital is fantastic! thank you writer-San! why would kyo go to the hospital after thinking his nightmare came true? kyoko /his mom warned him, you’ll hurt another person.. he did.. he didn't cause her fall... but caused her sadness & hurt.

Momiji’s reprimanding gaze is my fave look on him! Also, the best response to what akito did. Akito isnt used to such judgemental gaze. Kureno grabbed her cheeks, gently told her you shouldn't do that, the old maid told her you are right, Dr. Hatori erased her mistakes from ppl heads & bodies, shigure being either cold or kissing her ass, coxing her to yet torment another zodiac in his grand scheme to break the curse as happened in the beach arc.

You bet hana & arisa will be there next ep! Arisa will meet kureno & akito for sure. To path the way for their romance as seen in the ED.

Shigure’s “remorse” is a whole can of worms. Playing with ppl’s hearts & feelings to gain someone’s affection is no laughing matter. Each time blood is shed, he contributed somehow. he didnt force anyone to hurt the other, but he played with matches & never got hurt.

Shigure must be glad akito stabbed kureno. Not cuz he’s sadistic or bad person. He isn’t, but cuz akito stabbing kureno is akito cutting her bond with him. Go shigure, your girl removed her lover with blood. Kureno is punished for sleeping with ur girl by blood! so, when is ur punishment for sleeping with ur lover’s mom? none? ok.

The animation is good. They didnt villinize akito by drawing extra manic features like se02. Kyo’s broken & tormented face once again epicly drawn. However, akito’s slaps on tohru’s face were comedic, unnecessary & such bad taste! Stop using violence for extra drama, furuba!

Also, tohru, I love you, I understand you are broken but charging at a person, who has a history of violence & physical abuse & holding a knife, is stupid. No other description. I’m glad she didnt accidentally kill you in her initial rage.

NOW... admittedly, Belphie is not one of my faves (fighting Luci for that wooden spoon award) and I surprisingly found throwing him into a bit of angst difficult, BUT, not one to back down from a challenge, hopefully I have not disappointed. Enjoy!!

Belphie was falling in love; he understood completely how the others had become smitten with MC. She had a calming effect; a way of defusing tension and bringing people together. She’d get herself into trouble; literally putting herself in harm’s way all for the simple reason of fixing their broken family.

The two of them were currently enjoying each other’s company in the common room; Belphie resting his head on her lap while she read through an old demonic textbook, one hand absentmindedly fiddling with his hair.

He took in a deep breath and looked up at her. “Hey, MC…”

“Mm?” She hummed, tilting the book from her view and looked down on him.

“We have a rare night tonight where the human realm stars are visible. I thought maybe we could watch them together.” His question had a hesitance to it but he was hopeful.

She gave him a smile but shook her head. “Oh Belphie honey, I’m sorry, but my night’s already booked out.”

“Oh.” Belphie nodded, his eyes darting from hers before he smiled. “That’s okay. I can always ask Beel.”

Her smile widened, hand ruffling his hair before she returned to her book.

Belphie’s heart raced at her touch and her smile swirling within his mind. She had grown so comfortably close with him, and it was only a matter of time before he would summon the courage to tell her how he really felt. It should have been easy, he could tell she liked him; but at the same time she just made him so nervous.

The darker of night had come and Belphie had strolled out of a late night pizzeria with Beel at his side; a stack of pizza boxes in his arm and top box open so he could eat while the two walked to Belphie’s favourite spot to watch the rare sight of stars.

Smiling at the simple pleasure of being able to watch his brother enjoy his food innocently and unabashed; Belphie looked ahead and near stumbled over his own feet. He froze at the sight; MC holding the hand of the arm slung around her shoulder belonging to Mammon. She had a look of sheer delight as Mammon’s face dropped to her neck; undoubtedly peppering her skin with playful kisses as she appeared to start giggling and tilting her head to get the Avatar of Greed to relent.

“Beel… I – I want to go home.” He murmured as he turned around.

“Hm?” Beel looked to his brother; a look of confusion as he shoveled another slice of pizza into his mouth. “I thought you wanted to star gaze?”

“Forget it Beel… I changed my mind.” Belphie began walking in the direction of Lamentation, not waiting for Beel’s reply.

“Are you hungry?” the question came so suddenly and Belphie lost his composure; turning back on Beel and growled as he smacked the pile of boxes from Beel’s arm.

“No I am not fucking hungry!” Belphie snapped, kicking the mess of pizza and boxes across the cobble stone streets. “Damn it Beel, not everything is about food!”

“My pizza…”

Belphie’s mind was reeling. How could he have been so stupid? So blind that he hadn’t realised that his love was unrequited? But to make things worse, the love she had was for the idiot of the bunch; Mammon who was so clouded by making a quick Grimm that he was lucky to be able to form a cohesive sentence, was the one to win her affections.

And to top it all off, he took it out on Beel and his Pizzas. “Belphie…” He glanced up at the sad but worried tone of Beel but he just couldn’t calm down; he couldn’t remember the last time he had felt so heart broken. It hurt, beyond any explanation.

“For fuck sake Beel, grow up!” He snapped, punching a streetlight and creating a great kink in the beam before storming home.

By the time MC and Mammon returned home; Beel had cleaned out the fridge and retreated to his room while Belphie seethed in the common room within his own growing sorrow; continuously scolding himself for being so idiotic for thinking MC liked him the way he did her, but also for being so mean to Beel.

Of all brothers he could have unleashed at; it just had to be the one who he was not only closest with; but the the most emotionally in tune to those around him that he too would now be hurting just as deeply.

He closed his eyes, curling his body into itself when he heard her giggling. “Shh, shut up Mammon… you’ll have Lucifer breathing down your neck. We’re so late home.”

“Ahh!” Mammon scoffed with all of his usual bravado that would normally make Belphie laugh, but instead now just made him sick. “Ya still think THE Mammon is scared of old Lucifer? Ha! I ain’t scared of no d– wait, what are ya doin’?”

“Texting Lucifer, telling him we’ve just walked in.”

“Oi! Cut that out!”

Belphie sighed deeply at her giggling; wishing like anything that he was the reason for her making a sound like that. “Go to bed.” He listened to her command as she kept chuckling.

“Ya comin’ with?” Belphie could hear the smug grin on his brother’s face; it took everything within not to sit up and hurl a pillow into his face at full force, desperate to peg him down a notch.

“In a moment; I wanna check on the common room fire; the protective gate isn’t over it.” Belphie looked to the fire; silently cursing himself for being complacent, completely forgetting to set the gate back in place after loading the pit with wood.

He remained utterly still as she came into his view; watching her as she took hold of the fire poker to even out the burning logs before carefully putting the gate back in place.

She dusted off her hands, turning in place and jumped. “Oh! Belphie.”

He glanced up, their eyes locking and he felt his heart sink as she smiled at him before she noticed how upset he looked. “Belphie honey, what’s wrong?” she asked; crouching down by the couch and slipped a hand into his while the other brushed the unkempt fringe from his face.

“Did the skies end up not being clear enough?” She questioned with a sad smile.

MC really had no idea the pain she was causing him as she tried her best to comfort him; he so desperately wanted to yell at her, condemn her for making a decision so stupid as to date Mammon, but when he looked up into his eyes he could only return her smile with his own and nodded.

“Yeah…” his words laced in a quiver he wished he could hide. “Not clear at all.”

“Oh honey,” She gently chuckled as she sat herself on the empty space of the couch in front of his lap and draped her arms around him; her actions and pet name for him just fueling the ache bubbling inside himself.

“Maybe tomorrow night?” She suggested. “I wouldn’t mind keeping you company either if you think there might be a slight clearing?”

He sighed and hated that he nodded. “I’d really like that MC… thank you.” If he couldn’t have her love returned, he could at least for a moment longer, pretend that she was his; regardless of just how much it would hurt.

(and the lovely comments on my fics actually hi there ur wonderful!!!) i’m currently cursing the damage i’ve done to my sleep schedule and suffering under my (truly deserved) hangover lmao ;p apologies u don’t get drunk me, only uncaffeinated hangover me, but we talk to the same degree and make the same spelling errors lol

ok content time:

the second one first: i absolutely want to get drunk with ferdinand von aegir. the man’s a hop, skip and a vodka shot away from a mess. i love him. he’d be full of conversation and would buy the rounds every time as a true nobleman should !! he’d probably be really good at instigating drinking games but horrible at playing them.. i love party gay ferdie von aegir.

i’m going to LIMIT the faves i list because truly i love them all very much but i have to at least pretend i have some restraint and i don’t want to make this even More of a wall of text it’s going to become . SO 

edit: ok i started writing this at like. half ten pm. when the fuck did it become monday. 

edit edit: Disclaimer time: these are my conclusions and my conclusions alone. I’m not saying I’m objectively right or correct. I’m very much approaching this from an English Lit-ish point of view because that’s just how I look at a lot of media. I’m not asserting my opinions or conclusions as the only viable to interpret this media, and if anything I say offends you then I am sorry, it was not my intention but I acknowledge that I have hurt you. This is not the exhaustive list of my thoughts on the whole thing, there’s a lot more depth and detail I didn’t go in to.

My favourite thing about Edelgard is the Everything, but notably I really love her proud nature and how in VW it quite directly gets her *spoilered*, and in CF it’s integral to her success (bc it’s her own rigidity within herself that keeps her standing i think) and I Like Tragic Characters (and it’s very elinor dashwood). because it’s one of the qualities that can throw her character into a villainous light & it’s really interesting !! but at the same time.. it’s not quite ‘pride’ purely, and it’s kinda the wrong word. it’s some mixture of determined/stubbon, anger, self-reliance, and that really hard veneer of personality u develop when you’re around people who aren’t healthy for you to be around, and the very very critical need to be right about the choices you made because the weight of the  consequences would kinda ruin you if you weren’t. (the dean winchester effect huh) and wrap that up together with a big scoop of ‘i believe my way is right’ (’and my way Has to be right’) and then u get a lot of what i LOVE about Edelgard’s character

My favourite thing about Dorothea is really how she was the character that Hated the war. genuinely the contrast between white clouds dorothea & timeskip dorothea Breaks My Heart EVery Time I See Her !!!!! that and Spoilers!!! (her last words in AM unrecruited is edelgards name and i literally had to stop and cry about it for five minutes.) she’s one of the characters that post-war doesn’t have a Massive political stake in the war - like there’s her anger towards the current class system (another reason i bloody love her PLEASE give me angry feminine characters) but i think it’s her bonds with edie (or byleth&whoever if recruited) that keep her actually fighting in the war & it’s kinda different and i like that (actually i think she parallels/sends up/contrasts really really nicely with mercedes in that way)

my favourite thing about Marianne is just everything. how she finds worth within herself if you play VW (and the very very harrowing hc that she didn’t if you don’t), how she’s full of a quiet rage for the crest system but you eek it out of her as you play the game. how she’s still loved by the deers despite her appalling mental health (fight me on that canon) and the game essentially has her ‘save’ herself by finding worth and life within herself. i love her so much ok. (i also love her because she committed identity theft.. she and i share a name with the second dashwood sister oho (but i don’t use that name on the internet hhh) (also because my favourite shakespeare play is king lear (no really it is), my birthday is in red wolf moon too, i used to have very long hair i wore in a plait most days for school, little 11 and 17 year old me acted Exactly like white clouds marianne did & genuinely i love marianne von edmund to pieces but God it hurts to see her in game sometimes bc her journey mirrors a lot of mine & i love this character. so much.) WOW that was a lot. am i sure im not still drunk

so claude is not only one of my favourite characters in the whole damn game, but also shares the name of one of my favourite painters so i simply have to love him ;p however i can’t give a proper opinion on him yet because i haven’t finished playing deers yet :( but !! i love how (as is with all the lords) he has a veneer of personality to him, but in contrast to Edie where it’s quite seemless with her actual personality, Claude’s veneer of personality seems very opaque and plastered on. i may or may not just be wildly imagining things but he’s a very different personality in his lower supports with Lysithea than he is in his B support with Marianne, for instance. like, i love characters that are obviously a lot more socially intelligent than i could ever be, and claude is *chef kiss* BEAUTIFUL ON EVERY LEVEL.

i’d wax lyrical about Ingrid too but honestly there’s many better people out there with the good ingrid content than i could do. shortly, i love the New Take on the pegasus knight archetype she brings, and i really like her perspective on femininity !!! she’s such a good character & she brings so much to the game and to the pegasus knight character too!!!!! she’s such a bright personality and altho i wish so many of her supports weren’t centred around make-up (hhh dorogrid fans i pray for you), i think she’s really going to pave the way for whoever’s next in that character slot. no ok i’m adding in Hubert because i love this vampire man. i really really love the devoted servant archetype and we all know i love edelgard’s tragedy. and i love hubert. so much. the way he enables edelgard in pretty much everything is just so so interesting to think about, and i love his intensity about it. he’s like the ever present reminder that edelgard’s will kinda has to work otherwise the potential consequences of her being wrong are personified in hubert imo. it’s only touched on in VW in his letter but like. god i wish we got more but it’s a wonderful starting block. i love his comic relief as well, he’s such a fun character to have !!!! and also i have so many hubert fics in my bookmarks that just Get him. i love hubert. oh i love hubert.

i’m going to cut myself off there because . that’s just a LOT. 

as for characters i would sell a limb to have them talk to each other, honestly it’s Edelgard/Marianne. (and only 51% because of all the projection i have going on with those two ok don’t at me i  k n o w). that support chain would be too powerful and honestly i wish they had one becuauese it would have gone so Hard about what Edelgard was doing and what Marianne thought about it, and how they connected over it & they probably would have had their supports set over cups of tea or smth .. it would have been amazing. 

(but i’d rather have nothing than an awakening-level-content support where they talk about eating fucking bear meat instead of talking about how they grew to trust each other with and their ability to save the fate of the world HUH AWAKENING. (i’m salty about fredrobin forever)

also hilda/dorothea supports . we were robbed. they’re best friends and you can’t actually tell me otherwise. they run the disaster bi chat of garreg mach. honestly i just would Love a support chain for them that starts with them talking about self care routines and something really small like accessories or perfume and it goes into how self-esteem and how dorothea has to find the same worth in herself as hilda so easily can. (hilda’s the queen of self esteem she’s a babe) and in CF they could have dialogue and then we cry about it. and in SS they talk about how they both chose their place with Byleth and not at edie/claude’s side like i’m just free balling here it could be Anything and i’d love it. 

also big shocker .. dorothea/marianne supports . they both hate themselves in their profile CAN THEY PLEASE CHAT. 

also i accidentally fell in love with the claude/edelgard ship and i desperately need them to interact on the same level that edie and dimitri get to because.. aren’t there supposed to be three main characters huh intsys .. and like i get what the game goes for with two of the lords embroiled in a personal war against each other at the heart and the third actually finding something close to the truth because he’s not involved in age old grudge matches but at the same time That’s one of the things that really really falls flat for me in the game. dimitri’s villain is edie, edie’s villain is big dragon wife, claude’s villain is the lack of communication that everyone in fodlan suffers from apparently. lack of communication and lies. ymmv with what im saying rn but i would have preferred if all three lords had strong personal ties to each other and in Each Route it was brought up. or just snip dimitri’s dialogue out of CF because i have beef with how that WHOLE moment went down on so many accounts hhhh honestly it makes me angerey to think about lol

.. back on topic- can the lords pls talk to each other because it would be SO interesting in white clouds and i like seeing how their personality presentations clash

Theory : What if Aizawa was the current number 2 hero ?

First things first : thank you for existing, your blog is awesome ! Your fics bring me life, they’re amazing !! :)

Second thing, i would like to suggest you a theory, if you don’t mind. Feel free to add stuff or criticize too, I would love your opinion ! ((Also, sorry if it already has been done… but I think (read hope) not.)) –Also this is not a meme :/ –

Oh boy… here we go :

What if Aizawa was the current number 2 hero ?

So, this might seem a bit out the blue, but please, hear me out.

Let’s take things chronologically. We meet our fave sleepless man pretty early on, first as class 1-A’s main teacher. We then learn that he’s a hero going by the name of EraserHead. A few points are highlight about his “alter-ego” : his quirk momently erase one’s quirk, his identity is mostly kept a secret, he’s an underground hero, and he uses his anonymity as a strategy linked to his quirk and his fight style.

From those few informations, we can already assume a few things.

One, his quirk is really, really powerful. At that point of the series, we only saw villains use their quirk, and no guns, no weapons. They fully rely on their quirk, which means that without it, they’re pretty much defenseless, and that gives us an idea of how powerful Aizawa really is. Second, his anonymity is essential. If villains know about him, they’ll begin to take measures and arm themselves, which is obviously bad. That last point is confirmed in the USJ arc, where we learn a bit more about his quirk. It obviously has a limit. Where Aizawa is able to kick everyone’s asses in the middle of the USJ, he’s powerless. And that might lead us to think that he’s not that strong, but ! Nomu is a weapon that falls in the small category Aizawa cannot do anything against, and it’s able to face the n°1 hero so obviously, that doesn’t make it fair.

With that, I think I made it clear our tired hero can very well be in the ranking. But the best clues come from after the camping arc, at Bakugo’s rescue. What bugged me about that moment was the fact that we literally see all the top 5 heros (aka All Might, Endeavor, Best Jeanist and Edgeshot the ninja dude) besides the n°3. To explain it, we have two options : one, his quirk/fight style requires him to stay unknown, as the fact he never was mentioned would make us believe ; or two, he can’t be there. And well, Aizawa is -one- an underground hero and -two- he owes parents/journalists/people an explanation for the camping attack and must attend the conference ! That would explain the weird blank in the top 5, without it being “well, they have to keep heros to protect the rest of the city !” because that doesn’t make any sense, especially since the n°4 and n°5 heroes have already been asked to come.

Another thing I would add to the clue-list is Aizawa’s presence in Eri’s rescue mission. There’s already a lot of reasons for him to come : his erasure quirk, his dadzawa attitude… But I would like to add one. Personally, I found odd the fact that no hero from the top 5 came. I get that there already were two high ranked heroes, and that it was a stealth mission (so alleluia, no Endeavor) but I mean… Eri is basically a child with the power to ERASE YOUR QUIRK FOREVER if she’s in wrong hands ! So next to Bakugo, who is a kid with strong powers but who won’t ever join the villains, I know where I would have sent the most powerful heroes… So in my opinion, it would make a lot of sense if Aizawa was sent to this mission not only as Dadzawa or Eraserhead but also as the now number 2 hero.

I think I made the best case I could, but if you still don’t believe me, here’s one last thing :

Aizawa could have kicked All For One’s ass all by himself.

From his fight with All Might, we can tell AFO has some pretty hardcore quirks. But we can also see that all those quirks work by activation ; plus, even if he had some mutation quirk, it wouldn’t always be active since we don’t see him affect by any of those, and so, it would be working just like an activation quirk. And with that, we can assume they could all be erased by one glance of our hero, leaving AFO as quirkless as Deku was in the beginning of the serie. The only issue Aizawa could have faced would be the nomus, but any high ranked hero with the good ability could have taken care of them, while All Might would be not-dying, as well as Best Jeanist.

That’s why you should always carry your n°3 hero Eraserhead with you.

But more honestly, I think it would be a great surprise for the story, and that our little Aizawa would highly deserve it.

Hey ur English was just good bro! Personally I think it’d be really neat if Aizawa was the no.3 hero (currently) but I don’t think that’s very likely.

1. I think the rankings of heroes is also based on their general popularity with everyone else, and if he WAS no. 3, more people would have heard of him, bc u kno SOMEONE woulda doxxed the hell out of that. being included in rankings at all messes with him being an underground hero and its p unconventional for him

2. there were already high-ranked heroes on that mission, and they needed him to erase the quirks of the people. if I’m remembering correctly they didn’t know eri’s quirk at the time, and if they did, it’s not like they were expecting to FIGHT eri. they just wanted to rescue her. also lbr I’m. p sure aizawa was only in that arc so he could keep deku from. dying

3. I don’t think Aizawa could have kicked AFO’s ass. I’m not sure he would be able to erase every quirk AFO has ever harnessed. If he erased AFO’s quirk, one of several things could happen:

a.) it could erase ALL of the quirks he has

b.) it would only erase the quirk he was CURRENTLY utilizing

c.) it would erase his original quirk, but he still has all the others

or d.) it would erase his original quirk THUS rendering all the other quirks useless

it’s a hit and miss situation w/ AFO tbh!

all in all this was a really interesting theory!!! thank u!!!!

2. Tell us about what you’re most looking forward to writing – in your current project, or a future project

sksdfjkljdsfjlkdsfk oh gods okay okay so i’m technically between projects right now (i bashed out a bunch of one-shots that need some editing before i post them) but i’m sort of clinging and indecisive between two big projects that i want to work on. neither really has much direction yet, and one already has a, uh, hint, in the form of a one-shot that already exists out on ao3.

but the other, which i’ve given a little more thought, would be a demon!kaeya witch!diluc au, and i get to write some babie kaeluc which like. idk what it is about writing chars as kids, it feels a little more freeing and is always a refreshing sort of style? anyway, the first set of scenes take place when they’re kids, and the rest as adults, and i mean demon!kaeya speaks for itself tbh as does witch!diluc. it’s been a while since i really wrote a dedicated like...magic au? or, like, one that deals with magic the way i plan to do.

i’ve also been like. vaguely at the corners of my mind considering an urban fantasy fae!kaeya au but that’s like. the most vague concept right now - still excited about it nonetheless.

oh and another project idea that i don’t need to think abt right now bc i have too many, a chiluc memory loss au, specifically relating to that one post (x) i rb’d the other day :) still my standard enemies to lovers and all but with a little bit of spice lmao

7. What do you think are the characteristics of your personal writing style? Would others agree?

oh i really hope ppl agree with this one at least: that i really put people into the pov character’s shoes. that’s like. the thing i strive for the most? to really put readers into the char’s perspectives and elicit the same emotions the character’s feeling, etc?

beyond that, from a more technical perspective, i write in present tense, i’m allergic to epithets, i try quite hard to avoid too many passive/stationary verbs, grammar whomst idk her, i do subscribe to the ‘show not tell’ practice as much as it makes sense to, i’m big on internal monologues and internal conflict and a slut for the ‘there was only one bed’ trope (and tbh tropes in general). i think i’ve only ever written 3 fics that didn’t have happy endings (out of like...130+) but i’m not afraid to write some angst (i’m sure all my dabihawks followers are laughing at me rn lmao)

12. Do you want your writing to be famous?

u know once upon a time i was gonna publish some (edited, obviously) fics as like actual books and like that’s not off the table per se, nor am i really opposed to fics themselves gaining popularity? but like i really don’t care either way, like i’m not writing so that they will be popular or anything like that. or like. desperately hoping they will be or anything. i’m glad that ppl like it and comments mean the entire world to me, like i am so happy that other ppl enjoy my words as much as i do? but i’m not chasing fame or anything

17. Do you think readers perceive your work - or you - differently to you? What do you think would surprise your readers about your writing or your motivations?

sdfljkdsfjklfdsjlk this is such an interesting question, and i think the shortest answer is yes i think everyone perceives my writing differently than i do? and i’ve had a few comments that prove it, but usually not in any like. drastic kind of way. as for how i’m perceived, i frankly have no idea slkfjksldfj so i can’t really say?

hm things that would surprise my writers...i really don’t know, honestly? i think a lot of ppl assume that i’m posting as i write (since that’s p common) though i do make a point of saying pretty often that, with like maybe one or two exceptions in my fic career, i won’t post a fic until it’s finished lmao. as for motivations, i mean. most of the time my motivation is just ‘i have brainrot for this scene/idea specifically and if i do not write it i will simply perish’ lmaoooo

22. Do you reread your old works? How do you feel about them?

u know this is such an interesting question, because usually i don’t reread them? i’ll deadass half forget i’ve written a fic with a certain premise or half the events in any given fic if i didn’t write it within the past like couple months. i think almost anything i’ve written within the past year is close enough to my current writing style tho that if i read snippets of it, i’m like ‘yep that still sounds good to me!’

not that i ever really dislike my older writing? i think it’s just a matter of going ‘well if i was writing this scene today, i’d do it differently’. i think for me a lot of writing is about getting a story out of my head and into the world? so i don’t often feel the need or desire to go back to old fics or old writing too often lmao

TORONTO-soaring skyline from the highways at night near the lakeshore, the lights from the condos are like stars and its ridiculous but i also loooooveee dubrovnik in croatia and hanoi in vietnam and kaunas in lithuania and kyoto in japan.....in dubrovnik the wind blows in from the shore and at night when the lights are on in the walled city the stone glows amber. In Hanoi in the old quarter, motorbikes flash by and there’s yelling and the smell of pork skewers and there’s old buildings and new ones, huge stalks of bamboo leaning up against the walls. In Kaunas the wind is so cold and sharp and the buildings are so clean and there’s that old fortress and the tower! it’s so beautiful. and Kyoto is old and archaic but so modern it hurts and the streets are too uniform and the houses creep me out a bit bc they’re so quiet.

Chamomile: awww! I’m grateful that this blog exists too (lol). My current favorite type of au’s are murder mystery au’s because of the Rabbit Doubt writing group I’m in so like, expect so many of those coming up soon. I’m also really digging superhero au’s.

M: I’m a fan of the whole “kidnapping / assassin / mob / killer” sort of a trope for some reason - it’s loads of fun to try and mess with original tropes and make them ridiculous, funny, modern, etc.!

Chamomile: Currently there’s four of us! I know admin m and admin jynn from a loooong while back -- like two years back. Admin jynn and I go back to our homestuck roots (love her for that) and we’ve stuck together ever since. We all just kind of write whatever floats our boats! M: I met both Jynn and Chamomile through working on the Night Unvaled, which is a Night Vale Fancast that we wrote and produced. We’ve been friends ever since!! As for the certain genre thing, I can’t really say that we all write solely one genre, but we all certainly have our specialties!! Jynn: We have a posting schedule for who posts what when, but when it comes lists we all just take what interests us. Chamomile and I met more than two years back… in a Homestuck role play. Shortly after, we met M in a podcast project we were all working on and we've all be friends since!

Chamomile: I remember this AU! It was an AU Friday list that I did and loved doing it! Basically, there’s  ‘pastel’ aesthetic which is very like, cutesy baby pink and pastel blues and other ‘soft’ colors being worn with other ‘soft’ aesthetic items like, glitter or hair clips or oversized sweaters ands stuff like that. Then there’s punk aesthetic, which very like, ‘heck all of you, I want to be comfortable and show that I’m rebelling against the social/political norms’. It can vary from person to person, so it might be better just to google ‘punk fashion’. The whole tag is supposed to be sort of an ‘opposite attract’ type deal.

M: I guess it’s possible and would make for quite the interesting change in AUs from the usual soulmate trope, but make sure you’re careful when it comes to writing AUs about topics you’re not personally familiar with (such as being blind), but go for it!

Jynn: Idk about it. Lmao I'm picky as heck when it comes to soulmate AUs, and this one has the potential to be interesting but never “stuck out” to me.

Chamomile: Genosha, I would be so hype, you wouldn’t understand. Like a 10/10. Even if I did get tired of my new cool cotton candy beard like?? I can just wash it off?? Because cotton candy is water soluble?? I see no problems here?? 

M: maybe a 2. Too sticky.

Chamomile: oh jeeze well uhhhhh -- I still hold homestuck dear to my heart, but I’ve mostly moved into podcasts (SAYER, The Adventure Zone, WTNV, Carpe DM) and a lot of like, writing niche groups with my friends? If I can count those as ‘small fandoms’.

M: soooooo many: Nightvale, Merlin, Doctor Who, Supernatural, Harry Potter, Game of Thrones, etc. Too many.

Jynn: Still Homestuck like Chamomile. Various Nexflix series: Voltron, Stranger Things. Miraculous Ladybug too. Lots of Max Fun and Night Vale Presents podcasts, McElroy products. I work about 60 hours and week so I like things I can listen to while doing other things.

Chamomile:....scraps of paper. I have so many. I write down AU ideas and story lines on them and then just like, shove them into my bags and pockets and forget about them.

M: pens. so many pens.
