I think the puma t-shirts and the shorts were gifted to several drivers. About the “#together we are stronger” t-shirt, there’s a discussion on the post I added above and I’m 😭🥰 (maybe they bought them when they bought the sneakers). The linen shirts there’s no explanation 👀 Maybe they bought them together or one saw the other wearing it and thought “oh, he looks hot! I want one as well”.

Know that I'm open to any type of ask as long as it's not non-con or like p*do/incest relationship. So please don't be scared to ask me anything.

On another note, since you asked for general headcanons, I went for what I believe would be like to date Kitana. I chose Kitana from mk11 cuz I wanted to play with the idea of being with the Kahn of Outworld.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy this headcanons and for those who might hesitate to ask something, I don't bite I promise.

Kitana

Being the Kahn of Outworld means lots of work aka Kitana is always really busy.

Being the partner of the Kahn of Outworld means looking out for her and making sure she doesn't neglect herself.

Also you get to be her advisor.

Although you're an earthrealmer, Kitana would be delighted to teach you about the history of Outworld and most importantly Edenia.

Prepare yourself for long walks around the city as Kitana enjoys it.

Also Tea

If you don't like tea, Kitana would respect your preference, offering you something else to drink whenever it was tea time.

But if you do love tea, you two would have a hard time deciding which new tea you should try this time around.

She'd make tea from Outworld and, if you ever visit Earthrealm, you'd bring back some from there to show it to her.

As I said before, Kitana would be busy being Kahn but when she did have free time you'd find her reading somewhere or training.

Training will involve flirting and silly banter.

Do expect the visit of Kotal and Jade.

You'd get teased by Jade cuz she knows how infatuated you are of Kitana

Sheeva would also visit, and again being from Earthrealm, you'd be eager to talk with the Shokan.

Your eagerness to learn about those around you warms Kitana's heart.

Oh and Cooking.

Lots of cooking, even with servants cooking for the two of you, you'd pop in the kitchen from time to time to cook Earthrealm food.

She's not much of a cuddler but she'd ask for hugs from time to time.

Her favourite hug? Hugging you from behind while you're busy doing something.

She likes the feeling of you relaxing in her arms.

It was an uneventful day in Outworld. Most of the tasks were done and problems were taken care of. Which could only mean one time. Free time.

Sitting on a comfy chair located on one of the many balconies, arms leaning against a table, (y/n) propped their chin in the palm of their left hand. Their eyes were lovingly staring at the woman reading before them. Lost in their own thoughts, (y/n) failed to notice the brown eyes looking up at them.

"Is there something on my face?"

Wind brushed through Kitana's hair, making her look ethereal as the sun cast its soft yellow glow on her.

"Just admiring your beauty, love."

Rolling her eyes, Kitana went back to her book. However, her cheeks had taken a light shade of pink which pleased (y/n). No matter how much the Empress got to hear compliments from them, they always seemed to make her blush.

"Are you enjoying yourself?"

Chuckling, they leaned on the chair while stretching the now asleep arm they were propped against.

"Quite much but I'd say I'm enjoying you more"

The sound of a book closing echoed around the two of them before Kitana playfully kicked (y/n) foot underneath the table. Smirking, they reciprocated. One thing led to another and soon the two found themselves on training grounds, fighting as well as flirting. Let's just say that their free time wasn't spent relaxing.

Ok, ok, it's been so long and I have many things to say.

First, I already have a sketch of Miguel (kind of), and he looks so soft. I was going in with super low expectations because he is so hard to draw, but I love how it came out! School keeps me busy, and I suck at managing my time, but I'll draw Pavitr soon enough so I can get started with fanarts (If I hear another engineer say my career is easy I'm losing it)

Second, the nickname post was so cute!!! I always love Miguel fluff. We don't have enough of it. I remember one time you hinted Miguel might or might not get jealous in one part of Nonviolent Communication but if I'm being honest I can't see Miguel being a jealous type (Although I'd love to read your take on it) I think he is more of an insecure person. Sure, I see him getting angry and even uncomfortable if someone flirts or tries anything with his partner, but not because he is jealous but rather because he wants his partner to be safe. I picture him hugging them the moment he gets home and just melting with them in his arms, nuzzling his nose against their hair, drowning in them. I think he focuses more on their safety than in any other thing.

"Did he touch you? Offer you something? What else did he say? Are you sure you're ok?"

In his mind, he is just glad they're safe and comfortable. Anything else is secondary, but I can maybe see him getting jealous of the attention they give to others, but if that's the case, I think he would just start saying nonstop that they are his and they're in a relationship at every opportunity he gets. He would also stand closer, just as an extra precaution (because he is petty like that)

Ya, por último, do you think Miguel eats red meat during Easter? I'm sure he allows Gabri to do so, but I have this silly idea that Miguel just... doesn't. He isn't religious or anything, but whenever he serves something with red meat to his daughter, he hears his mom telling him that he shouldn't eat that because it's disrespectful. Again, he isn't religious, but I like to think that something deep inside him tells him he shouldn't. Like that feeling when you can finally do something your parents didn't allow (like pulling an all-nighter or trying a certain food or watching a show). It's not guilt. It just feels odd... So he instead cooks seafood unless Gabri specifically says she wants something else. It's a silly idea, but I feel it's something ATSV Miguel would do

AWWW your jealous Miguel idea just got me in my feelings for real!!!!! 🥹🥹 Him being focused on his partner's safety more than anything >>>>> why is he not real???? No, I totally agree that Miguel would be more insecure than anything!! In Nonviolent Communication, I've included that Miguel has felt/sometimes still feels insecure about his appearance and his family life (the parents situation), so if we do have jealous Miguel in the fic... 👀 This aspect will def play into it. Also, the bit about him being more jealous of the attention - I can see this as well!! But in the fluffy way that Miguel just loves receiving his partner's attention, you know?

I can see him def making it known that his partner is taken especially if he sees that his partner feels uncomfortable by someone trying to make a move on them despite already making it known they're taken, so Miguel then steps in and we have him pulling them into him, placing his hand on their waist, and "hola, mi amor" or whatever nickname he has for his partner, to emphasize to the person to stop bothering his partner.

But do trust that if we see jealous Miguel in Nonviolent Communication, it won't be him going crazy or acting aggressive/hostile. I don't want to say much but believe me, we'll continue to see soft Miguel no matter the situation, even when he gets all celoso and grumpy, which I can see him displaying - grumpiness, not aggression!!

I'm very quickly going to say that I didn't know you're a Spanish speaker, so I'm delightfully surprised to see your Spanish in this ask!!! :) But about Easter and whether Miguel follows lent - it's actually crazy that you bring this up because I was thinking about this, too, recently as I'm Catholic and was not eating red meat. And well, this man truly does live rent free in my head and being Mexican, I like to wonder about his experiences - both the serious and the funny ones - as a Latino.

I hope I'm not rambling from this point on but this is something very interesting to think about, so here we go!! I know in a comic run it's mentioned that he's not religious but that he still finds himself at times doing certain things out of habit because he grew up in a Catholic home. He doesn't identify as one though, but instead as an atheist. That's comic Miguel and that's what I've seen so far from doing research in the past for the fic. I haven't read the comics yet, so I may be missing some information but that seems to be it.

ATSV Miguel on the other hand... I have a feeling he's not super religious right now (maybe hasn't been for several years), but he's also not an atheist?? It's more like he's lost a lot of faith at one point with so many negative events and situations taking place in his life (and like, I wouldn't blame him because if the writers stick to comic events... I would, too, lowkey). I think he probably has an ongoing inner conflict with his religion. Despite that, I truly do think that he still respects not eating red meat during lent for the reason that it's so ingrained into his brain that doing that is bad.

I can see him letting Gaby eat whatever, especially her being a child and children being excused (at least that's my knowledge; children, the elderly, and those sick/injured are excused), if she wishes to eat red meat but like you said, I imagine he finds himself cooking meals without red meat because again, it's ingrained into his mind that eating red meat is disrespectful. Also, the fact that he lives in a New York that's heavily influenced by Latin culture - I feel like that also influences him and leads him to opt out from eating red meat.

But I don't know, that's my idea as of right now! It's certainly so so interesting to think about and I like how I have a favorite character that I can think about in these contexts that are familiar to me (and to so many other fans). I really hope that we get to see much more about Miguel's backstory in BTSV regarding these little things because I certainly find it intriguing. I think it'd add another layer to his character, too! I just really want more Miguel content, let's be real 😭 but yeah those are my thoughts on it! I'm sorry for how long this turned out!!

(It could just be that he is just tired of the case and he is human)

Also Boogle??? I love it I think Google should change to Boogle, just imagine!

Mumbo mentioned that ghost and ghouls exist. Will we possible see any ghost or ghouls in the future? But are ghost kinda the same as phantoms such as in the origins mod pack?

Since Doc is the mayor of aqua town does he use like magic to make himself look different. I would think soo because he is literally a creeper hybrid green skin, robotics and all. I think if he were to make a appearance like that in town people would run for their lives. Like said he was giving a speech or in a meeting etc...

Now Impulse mentioned that he and zed are roommates. "And they were roommates!"/silly . Soo does that make zed also a supernatural or is he like Grian and knowing that Impulse is a supernatural? Or it might be that zed doesn't know but I think that is kinda impossible with how nosy he is/pos

I do really love looking all the way back at the start of songbird and seeing where grian was at in the beginning 🥺 he was so naive and free of trauma and was really just dropped headfirst into the supernatural world. and GOD grian and mumbo at the start??? they’ve come such a long way

cub gave grian the spotlight with the paper for two (2) reasons!! :D it truly was simply because he thought grian could do it more justice and well. being such a focus in the paper isn’t quite his style <3

the Boogle thing… I think it’s my proudest achievement of songbird actually /silly

ghost or ghouls HM. in arc 3 we probably won’t! but maybe they’ll appear in the story, you never know! I don’t have any plans at the moment, but that can definitely change in the future <3 as for if they’re similar to origins phantom… I’ll probably end up using ghost and phantom as synonyms and swap them around if they ever appear in songbird. so yeah! they’ll be the same thing — maybe just with some extra world building chucked in hehe

so!!! for doc, he’s not a creeper hybrid!!! he’s a vampire just like mumbo is! in songbird he looks like a regular guy™️ with pale skin and green hair. I imagine the only thing he would use his glamour for is to hide his pointy ears :D

zed doesn’t know that impulse is a demon :3 impulse has been alive for like. thousands of years now (he was definitely alive during the supernatural rebellion), he’s had lots of practice keeping his demon side a secret, especially from nosy people like zed

with mumbo not hearing or smelling grian, it’s two factors! one: grian kept enough distance. and two: it’s as simple as mumbo had a lot on his mind that distracted him. I mean, he just found out about the murders going on in town and got more information about it from doc. we know just how much mumbo cares about people, even if he tries not to. between doc, the council, the murders, plus mumbo doing “work” for the council? there was definitely a lot going on inside his head that left him a bit distracted and therefore not paying attention to grian

Fanfic is fiction and I do think that fic authors can and should write whatever they want! It's a hobby and it should be fun and it's not necessary to critisize someone for providing free content, just because it wasn't what you were looking for.

It's the responsibility of readers to simply click away when they come across a fic they don't like. I do it all the time.

I have written Spencer out-of-character many times because I wanted to have fun with the story and it fit into my narrative. He's a fictional character and everyone is allowed to interpret him however they like. And if someone just needs a face claim to write some smut, that's fine too!

I also think that it's not necessary to emphasize the characteristics you mentioned for him to be canon compliant. If Spencer is written in-character, he is written as autistic even if it's not explicitly stated.

And when it comes to the sub/dom discourse... We haven't seen him in sexually explicit scenes on the show (😔), so none of us knows what he's actually like in bed. We don't know his preferences or how his demeanor might change when he's intimate with someone. So it's impossible to write a canon compliant Spencer in smut fics! We simply don't know! So critisizing someone for not writing him as submissive is actually kind of silly.

as for your first interpretation of it, i love that!! i've thought of the idea behind the exes interviews so much before, its such a fun concept that could be played around with. tommy interviewing exes and spence comes out as john d bad and triggers tommys fight or flight so bad (he keeps trying to remind himself its his spencer but god does he hate john d bad) OR tommy is in the back while spence is interviewing and hes just like 'ik this is all fake but how dare they talk abt him in this way' ... i love the pining of it too, them making jokes throughout but realising as they're talking that they love all of the silly little things the other does ... maybe them have too much banter even in character and the other cast members being like 🤨🤨🤨

(Well, the file name is Harris Gin, and while that does crop up in the fic, I half suspected it was more to do with what I was drinking at the time I was writing. 🤭 If you’ve any ideas tho, send them me. The more I read about the song and finnish drinking culture, I wonder if this isn't bringing me a new understanding of the movie Another round / Drunk (the one with Mike Mikkelsen). Obviously it's a danish movie not finnish, so maybe I'm completely wrong, and I'm also not sure of what you guys think of this movie.

It had a huge success in my country when it came out even though it was also a bit controversial as some people believe it was glorifying the drinking culture. I actually watched it during my erasmus in Copenhaguen, and the truth is I'm still not sure what to think of it.

Hi! I've seen this film, but don't remember it super well. Still, I'll try my best to give you my thoughts! 😊 In general the Nordic countries (especially Finland and Sweden, but definitely Denmark as well) have somewhat similar drinking cultures. Needing alcohol to break out of our shells, with Finns probably being the most shy and heavily reliant on alcohol, followed by the Swedes (surprisingly) etcetera. My personal take on the movie is that it is some sort of critique on the way the Danes consume alcohol, but also the reasons for why they feel like they need to rely on it. I think it also touches on how easily alcohol consumption can get out of hand and turn into alcoholism, and how easy it is to enable alcohol consumption in cultures like ours, in which it's already heavily normalised. The thing is, over here you may even get shamed by others for choosing not to drink! If memory serves me right, the characters mentioned at the start of the film that they were going to drink alcohol as a test to see how it effects their social performance. What changed for them during the time the experiment was going well was that they loosened up a bit and were friendlier and more supportive, because they stopped fearing social rejection and the possibility of embarrassing themselves. I think that in specific is a sad reflection on how our cultures almost encourage us not to stand out, and to be ashamed of being a bit silly or whatever when sober. I hope this was a satisfactory answer, and thanks for supporting Käärijä! It means a lot. 😊💚

3: are there any specific themes you enjoy exploring in your fics?

Hmmmm.... usually the theme is always surrounding a romance or a conflict of romance. A lot of people dislike the romanticization of love or they find people who write homosexual romance are "sexualizing" it but I find that I love the "thought" or the "romanticization" of love and physical affection and it is what i really focus on and becomes the center of all my fics. The real me in real life is very uncomfortable and unwanting of physical intimacy and physical affection due to things that have happened to me years ago, not too long after i graduated high school. To put it shortly, i was put in multiple sexual situations by two different men at my old place of work that I could not escape from. I haven't been the same since then and though i do go to therapy now, it is a slow-going process. It is why all of my fics are only m/m or m/m/m pairings. I can't bear the thought of writing a heterosexual romance and even today I can't really read them either, mostly... Nowadays I'm attempting. I'm only just now starting to try thanks to a few other lovely HL writers who write MCs as gender nuetral as possible and that's nice because I can picture the genetals MC has to my desires or mental health capacity at each individual moment. Sorry- this one was a long one and probably not what you were expecting... 😅 Basically, I write mostly centered all around love and physical romance to make up for the lack thereof in my real life and (and I don't like putting it like this but it's true) feel normal since none of these things bring me pleasure anymore.

10: what's your favorite part about the fic writing process?

Oh, DEFFINITELY the diologue! Every draft of a fic I write, I only write diologue. I go in with some desire of where I want it to go overall, but otherwise these characters really do just write themselves. I love how they interact with one another whether it be angsty or silly. ❤️ Then all I do is fill out the scene around them or their feelings/actions to go along with their words 😊 I REALLY love dialogue.

35: what do you enjoy most about being a fic writer?

The lovely comments!!! I read and respond to each and every one because I am so thankful that people take the time to read my work and it really encourages me to keep writing when I know they are also having just as good of a time with the fic as me (most of the time they are having even more fun than me lol)! It also helps me judge/scale whether i'm doing a good job making the physical intimacy sound good and realistic/believable since i have no range of my own for a base. But I also love the community in general. I rarely get into something as deeply as I am with HL. The only others in life were FFXV a few years back and Naruto when I was in middle/high school 😅 but when I do, I love all the memes/content from the other creators and getting to know them as well.

It’s December. 🎄 A Report ☆

It's already the last month of 2024! There's not much time left this year, and before we know it, 2025 will be here. Moving too fast, don't you think?

Yesterday, I spent hours doing what I'd usually do on a quiet weekend: resting and catching up with my silly little hobbies. In between, I’d hear the clock ticking and realize how tricky time can be. It always seems to move at the same speed, yet the most important moments feel like they slip away so quickly. Maybe it’s because they’re so precious, or because we know they have to end—it’s that mix of feelings that makes time feel like it’s flying by.

In my last letter, I talked about trying new things, and I’m happy to say I’ve been doing well! 😊 Slowly but surely, and I plan to keep going at this pace next year. Have you picked up any hobbies? How did it feel?

Oh, and my love for my job has also come back (somehow). I thought I was just working for financial stability, but I recently found myself grinning at a finished article like a fool—it reminded me of how far I’ve come, how proud I feel of my work even without external validation. It’s so fulfilling to see your own growth. 🌱

Lately, I’ve been overly critical of my life choices. I keep focusing on the flaws, completely ignoring the good points lighting my way. I hated the way I think. But after some reflection, I realized being chronically online isn’t helping. 🫠 Sometimes, we need to take others' words with a grain of salt—they can be eye-opening but not always for everyone (kind of like what I’m writing, lol). Stubbornly carving my own path feels more like me.

Of course, recognition is important, but there’s something so special about people finding their own reason to work hard, and I’m glad I’ve found mine.

Finally, I got to connect with some of the loveliest people here and there. 💌 I’m so thankful for the few special ones I have in my life right now, but I also want to mention the short chats I had with strangers and acquaintances. We didn’t aim for anything deep, but those little exchanges were so kind, gentle, and encouraging. 💗 I wish I could have told them just how much they brightened my day (I did, but it never feels like enough) and that I truly wish them all the best. From the bottom of my heart, really! You give me so many reasons to wake up excited for another day. 🌞

Things may be different now, but this December has its own magic. A little holiday sadness undeniably creeps in, but I still love the end-of-year atmosphere, after all. I’m grateful it still brings that special feeling, even as things change. 🍃

Meet Elizabeth Simmons! She's basically my self-insert for my Nathan Chen AU that I'm currently writing. This is my very first Nathan fanfic that's not an X reader fanfic, but don't worry, I'll still be writing those kinds of stories.

And before anyone says something, Elizabeth is in her 20s like me IRL. You'll learn more about her in my future fanfics. 😊

This fanfic is based off of my experience meeting Nathan at the Toyota Sports Festival in LA last year, albeit with a different ending.

Since the day she had feelings for Nathan Chen, Elizabeth Simmons had dreams of meeting him in person. Although she was jealous that other fans have gone to meet him in person, she kept her head held high and waited patiently for the day to happen. One day, Elizabeth was on Twitter, scrolling through her feed, when she came across a tweet announcing the Toyota Sports Festival in Los Angeles. Elizabeth lived an hour away from the city. The announcement also read that Nathan would be attending there. Excited, Elizabeth raced downstairs to the kitchen, where she told her mother, Theresa, and her father, William, the news.

"So this is what you're excited about?" William questioned. "I thought you didn't like sports."

"Oh, William, don't be so silly," Theresa reassured, "this is really important for our dear Elizabeth. Besides, you wouldn't want to miss meeting your favorite people, would you?"

"Well, I suppose that could work," William replied.

"So what time would we be leaving?" Elizabeth asked eagerly.

"I'll tell you what, have your breakfast, get dressed, do your makeup or whatever, and then we'll be leaving," William said.

"Thanks, Mother and Father! You're the best parents I could ever ask for!" Elizabeth thanked her mother and father before giving both of them kisses on the cheek.

Days had passed, and Elizabeth spent countless hours practicing her meeting with Nathan. On the day of the Toyota Sports Festival, she was ready.

On the drive to LA, Elizabeth felt butterflies flying around her stomach, she felt like she could either explode with excitement or pass out from anxiety. She began breathing deeply that was audible enough for her mother to hear.

"Are you okay, Elizabeth?" Theresa asked.

"Yeah, I'm fine," Elizabeth replied. "I'm just a little nervous, that's all."

"Listen, it's going to be okay," her mother reassured. "Look at you, you're going to meet someone special in your life."

"I know," Elizabeth smiled.

Eventually, they made it to the festival, albeit by struggling with finding a parking spot. The Simmons family walked all around the streets to arrive at the festival, where there was a huge crowd full of sports fans. Elizabeth decided to take this opportunity to find Nathan.

With her parents following along, Elizabeth asked all the people working at the festival if they knew where Nathan was, but to no avail. Alas, they stopped at an ice skating rink, where Elizabeth finally saw Nathan there, talking to some fans that stood outside the rink.

"Mom, Dad, I think I see him!" Elizabeth cheered, pointing her finger to where Nathan was at.

"Who?" Theresa and William both asked in unison.

"Nathan!" She replied, trying to keep her composure.

"Oh," William said, getting a glimpse of him, "so that's who Elizabeth was talking about."

"Of course, William," Theresa spoke. "She's told me all about him."

Gazing at Nathan, Elizabeth couldn't help but swoon over him, her heart skipping a beat as she imagined her first meeting with him. She'd confess her feelings for him, and Nathan would reply, saying that he'd like to get to know her more. All of this daydreaming stopped when Elizabeth heard a "Hi!"

Elizabeth snapped out of her imagination to find that Nathan had been waving at her. With her eyes widened and her cheeks flushing red, she ducked down, covering her face with both of her hands. "I can't do this..." She said.

"Hey," Theresa advised, placing a reassuring hand on her daughter, "you can do this. Just keep calm and don't freak out."

Elizabeth stood up once again to find that Nathan had apparently left the rink. She carefully examined around the festival to see if he was hiding somewhere, but he was nowhere to be seen. Eventually, she heard the announcer speaking, "Nathan Chen will be signing copies of his newly released book, One Jump At A Time!"

After struggling to get in line for Nathan's book signing, Elizabeth and her parents waited patiently to be in front of the line, with the former struggling to keep her composure and muttering song lyrics to calm herself down. When they made it to the front, Elizabeth cleared her throat before speaking to Nathan, who was signing a copy of his book.

"Hello, Nathan," Elizabeth grinned, "my name's Elizabeth Simmons, but please call me Elizabeth."

"Hey, Elizabeth!" Nathan replied eagerly, taking her hand into his and shaking it. "It's so nice to meet you!"

Elizabeth blushed at his touch. "Look, I know we've just met," she continued, "but I just wanna say, I really really like you, like, a lot." She covered her face with her hand, trying not to expose her red face.

"Aww, thank you, Elizabeth," Nathan blushed as he replied. "And I must say, you look really pretty."

"Oh my gosh, Nathan," Elizabeth gasped, shocked by her crush's compliment, "you shouldn't have!"

"I know it's a little odd for someone like me to say that to their fan," Nathan confessed, "but I just had to."

"Um, yeah, about that," Elizabeth said, "thank you." She felt her heart flutter slightly as she couldn't believe someone she truly admired—Nathan—not only shook her hand, but also complimented her in person. What was even more unbelievable was that she was meeting the Nathan Chen in person, in front of her parents. Knowing that they were here, this made Elizabeth feel slightly embarrassed, but felt a wave of relief when she saw Nathan smiling at her parents.

"So, these are your parents, eh?" He asked.

"Yeah," Elizabeth nodded before directing her attention to her parents, "Mother, Father, I'd like you to meet Nathan Chen."

"Why, hello, Nathan," Theresa greeted. "I'm Theresa, and this is my husband, William."

"Wow," Nathan gasped as he shook the hands of Theresa and William, "you have such amazing parents, Elizabeth."

"I know, right?" Elizabeth agreed. "They were kind enough to bring me here to meet you."

After signing a couple of more books, Nathan gently pushed the books towards the Simmons family, saying, "Anyway, here are your books."

"Thank you so much, Nathan," Elizabeth said as she grabbed one of the books and held it close her chest. "Mind if we take a picture together?"

"Sure, I'd love to," Nathan accepted.

After Mr. and Mrs. Simmons grabbed their phones to take a photo of Elizabeth and Nathan together, they all thanked Nathan for their first meeting, with Elizabeth feeling a bit downhearted and blue, knowing very well that they were leaving.

"Elizabeth, are you okay?" Nathan asked after noticing a change in Elizabeth's emotions. "You look a little upset."

"Well, you see, Nathan, it's just that we're leaving, which means I won't be able to see you again," Elizabeth explained.

"You know, all good things must come to an end," Nathan said, his tone sounding blunt before continuing, "but it doesn't have to be this way. Mind if I follow you on Insta?"

Elizabeth's eyes widened before speaking, "For real?!"

He nodded, "For real."

Without any words spoken, Elizabeth eagerly shared her social media usernames to Nathan via giving him a business card from her wallet. "I'd like you to have this business card, it has all of my social medias on it," she said. "My dad runs a business that sells cards like these."

"Your dad's a genius!" Nathan laughed as he read the card. "Thank you so much!"

"I'll see you again sometime, okay?" Elizabeth asked, her eyes begging for a promise.

"Of course," Nathan said before sharing a hug with Elizabeth, much to the awe of her parents.

As they said their goodbyes and walked out of the festival, Elizabeth couldn't help but gush over how amazing the day went. As they headed over to the car, Theresa and William smiled at each other, knowing very well their daughter had taken a liking to the Olympic Gold Medalist even more now that they have met him.

"He's quite charming, isn't he, Elizabeth?" William asked.

"I know, Father, he... wait a minute," Elizabeth said, her eyes widening and her cheeks flushing red.

Her father chuckled, "I don't know about you, dear, but I think he likes you."

"What?" Elizabeth froze, looking like a deer in headlights. "Don't be ridiculous, we've just met!"

"I know," William replied, "but considering you shared your social medias with him, I suppose he'll get to know you more."

"Aw, shucks," Elizabeth smiled, covering her face with her hand once again.

Little did she know, Nathan had indeed reciprocated her feelings. After following her on Instagram, he let out a sigh, "She's quite... something, isn't she?"

"Who are you talking about?" A young girl who had been waiting patiently for her book to be signed asked.

Nathan snapped out, immediately changing the subject. "Oh, it's nothing," he chuckled before signing the book and giving it to her.

Later that night, Elizabeth opened up her Instagram to find that Nathan had followed her, much to her surprise. In return, she followed him back, and decided to write an open love letter for him.

Dearest Nathan,

If you're reading this, you probably remember that we've met at the Toyota Sports Festival in LA today. I must admit that I'm a rather shy girl, and I'm at a loss for words whenever I see the ones I admire in person. Another thing I'll admit: I've had the BIGGEST crush on you ever since I've heard you won the Gold Medal, but it took me quite some time to accept these feelings. The thing is, everything about you is why I love you so much. You inspire so many people to follow their dreams. I know a lot of people call you the Quad King, but you're more of a prince to me. And above all, I just want you to know, I was enchanted to meet you. I hope we meet again someday.

For me when a company, a school, or a university say they are a family it’s when it’s the worst... Will from my experience that’s when it was worse ! They are no good companies that actually care ? They pretend to but they actually don’t. But at least when they are pretending it’s a little bit better ? Idk how to explain

I think I know what you mean. I also am scared of the phrase “Work hard, play hard.” 

You are not an illiterate writer. For me there is no such thing as that and get ready for a sappy moment but writing is hard, very hard and having people read it is hard as well. Taking the courage of writing is something and many people get stuck. So don’t you are illiterate. I am sure you are brilliant.

Aww, thank you. I mean it more as a jokingly way because I made a lot of silly errors (even though I try to proof read) and sometimes when I’m reading (even simple stuff like fanfics), I do get a bit confused or am not 100% sure. This is kind of why I decided to try writing. I

If you allow let me tell you a bit about my story with writing. (You don’t have to read it if you don’t want to). I always write stuff, when I was a kid and I didn’t like the ending of a good I would take a pen and scribble over it. I was writing little stories as well. I started to write seriously when I was 13 yo. And I started writing 2 books at that moment (never finished them). I had some MAJOR health problems when I was 13-14-15 and I was doing very bad. Writing and reading helped me a lot. When I was around 17 I had ideas for a new book, I planned it and I wrote it. A whole book of more than 300 pages. My bay. I was 19 at that point and friends and my mom read it and loved it. I send it off to house of editions, and I was rejected. I think I must be at 7-10 rejections now ? Since then I feel sick whenever I try to write, what was once my comfort became something that me sick. Now I’m trying to get back to writing with those fanfic but the nauseous feeling is still there.  (Lord I made myself sad lol) 

Thank you so much for sharing your story. I can’t imagine that it was easy. Also, don’t feel pressured to share what you’re not comfortable with or it brings too many negative emotions; after all, I’m just some person on the Internet who’s trying to be friends with you (lol). I’m sorry to hear about your health problems when you were younger and I hope you are feeling better. I can relate because I been experiencing some since two years ago. It’s A LOT better now especially since I’m not working but we’ll see once I get back to come 😢

It’s amazing that you were writing two books even if you haven’t finished them at the age of 13, and I’m glad that you found something to help you through the hard times. 300 pages? Dang, it’s hard for me to even write like 50 pages.

Also, keep in mind that you’re very young (you’re born in 2002 so I’m assuming you’re either 20 or 21 years old) and I feel like a lot of authors get a lot of rejections. Remember, you only need one “yes.” Not only that, many things including pieces of writing are subjective so don’t think you’re bad or anything like that. Some people will like your work, some might not (like it could just be not their taste or preference, etc) and that’s okay 😊 You can’t control other people’s thoughts but you can control how you feel about when you publish your work so personally, I try to make sure when I publish something, I’m proud of or at least satisfied with. 

I kind of get your nauseous experience because I feel it to especially when I publish a particular series that I'm currently working on because based on notes, I feel like it's not being well received (though I get it because some people might be shy to like something or like to be a silent reader and that's ok -- I was one of those people but now I try to comment or reblog for works I really enjoyed because it makes me soooo happy when people do that for my work so I would imagine it'd likely the author happy too).

Stromae is a Belgium singer/composer and he is amazing and the lyrics are always very deep ! Stayc vocals truly are amazing and I also think xikers have a lot of potential ! And I love enha I have two of their albums lol

First of all you are American ?? I feel like going to kcon would be an amazing experience and from what I remember the lineup is crazy ! If you feel like it’s your only chance to see them try and go for it ! That would be awesome memories ! (I totally get that going to Korea/ Japan is scary and could be very overwhelming!

I’m from Canada but the plane ride to LA is fairly cheap because it’s not far from where I live. Yes, the lineup is sooo amazing. It’ll be my first time to KCON and LA as well (I was planning to go later in October when it’s not like the dessert but ZB1 is probably not going to have a North America tour 😭)

Silly errors happens, it’s normal when you are engrossed in your writing you do not see the mistakes anymore. And I’m very proud of you to keep on continue to write !

Well I don’t mind sharing it it just that I feel like I overstepped boundaries ? But globally I don’t really mind talking about it lol. Concerning my health problems it was worse, im doing better now and I have meds so it’s globally better even if there are some moments of relapse. I’m sorry about your health problems and I hope you are doing better now and that the work won’t put you in a difficult place health wise.

Yeah well it still feel bitter because I never finished them. And for the 300 pages that story mattered a lot to me and it was different from a fanfic you know ? It was my own characters, in their own world with Iran created places so I had a lot to write about lol.

I am currently 20, my birthday is the 15 July (one day after tae rae lol) I know that one yes is enough but that story truly means so much for me, and people close to me really liked it and had good feedback so I was really hopeful, it has been my dream to be a published writer for years and I had just a lot of hope. I know that I should base my self esteem on that but it’s hard to resonate with yourself when it’s something that matters so much you know ? I’m also someone very insecure with very low self esteem so that made me suffer a lot. Lol.

I totally get what you mean. Notes are importants and not having that feedback can really makes you feel discouraged when you put so much time and effort on a piece. But the fact you kept trying proves that you are very brave !

🦚 - Are there any queer books/shows/etc. that you would suggest? answered here, but i am always here to offer more recommendations! i recently finished watching the first season of xo kitty, and while it does suffer from some of the usual tween show pitfalls (as well as heavily relying on some major coincidences for big plot points) it is very cute and wayyy more queer than the marketing suggested. no spoilers but if you want to watch something light and silly and all about both queer and straight love i'd recommend it! a podcast rec that is less explicitly queer but so extremely good that i'll take any opportunity to recommend it is dungeons and daddies! every season (there are two, on of which is on-going) has at least one explicitly queer main character plus several queer side characters plus it's like. so so good and funny and sad and all about father-son relationships (season 1 at least) and generational trauma (both seasons) while also being about the stupidest silliest jokes and basically i love it with my whole heart :))

💙 - When you first learned about the Queer community, did you immediately realize ‘That’s me!’ Or did you consider yourself a ‘really good ally’ for some time? absolutely not lol. i totally thought i was Just A Friendly Ally, fully to the point where i came out as straight to my parents in middle school bc i thought it wasn't fair that my queer friends had to come out & my straight friends didn't. (yes yes cringe all you want) which btw pro tip for anyone thinking of trying that: don't! bc then later when you have Realizations(tm) you'll have to come out for real and everyone will be like "hang on what about what you said when you were 13" which is a pain lol. i even had a friend who was out as ace and i was like "wowie that's neat. couldn't be me tho bc i have crushes on people and also i'm not special enough to be anything other than straight" (which like. did baby megs hear herself? apparently not lol) so it took me nearly six years after learning about what being ace meant in order to be like "hang on. that kinda is me tho" so. goes to show lol.

🔮 - What Was the Moment you Realized you were Queer? there wasn't exactly a singular moment as such, i'm not the type of person to figure out anything without overthinking it and so it took me months of scrolling through ace forums and reading testimonies to feel comfortable using the label. there was a specific date that i suddenly felt 100% comfortable with the label (which is written down somewhere) but that was after a lot of buildup and i spent the next week after that questioning that feeling lol. in terms of other aspects of my queerness,,, those are still very much up in the air lol so i guess you could say i'm waiting for that moment/moments to come! there've been a lot of beats over the last year/couple years where i was like "hmm i think i'm aro" and then "hmm actually i think i'm bi" and then "hmm maybe i'm not fully cis" but none of them have been decisive enough for me to use any label other than ace & queer (my fav labels to have 😊)

Carmen. Carmen was an enigma that you wanted to figure out. Now and then, he’d give you some clues.
