is there some kinda first-time primer i can get on the robots bc im So curious abt the robots i want to know Everything abt the robots but also i have limited brain RAM rn (currently experiencing a level 8 multiple-hyperfixation event) so is there an overview or anything like that on these guys? 🥺
I've been meaning to make a proper like.... setting and background post for the Hydra Mythos at least and I have not gotten around to it so now is as good of a time as any!! I ought to get around to getting info out on the other storylines too (primarily Solder and Sam) but also I mostly yell about Hydra/Mydas so it makes sense to start with them.
The Hydra Mythos storyline and setting has been actively built on since like the very beginning of 2022 if I remember correctly. So a fair bit of stuff has been developed and detailed >:)
I will note that the Hydra Mythos stuff contains themes of transhumanism and death and a fair bit of religious stuff so if any of that makes you uncomfortable I'd suggest not reading on! I don't think I'll be going into any of it in significant detail here but. just to be careful.
Hydra Mythos setting and character description below!! tldr these nerds try to make a powerful machine and act really surprised when said machine is powerful
Tumblr media
Background and Setting
The Hydra Mythos storyline takes place in a futuristic (2050s onward, but the bulk of it takes place after the 2080s) London-esque setting. In this setting, AI, cybernetic implants, and robot assistants are the norm- as are surveillance and tracking, which kind of goes with the territory. There is an underlying tension between humanity and the machines they create. The existence of the Antisingularity- an agency dedicated to making sure AI remains in code, and "rogue" or erratic machinery is destroyed- is a direct response to this tension.
Following the AI boom of the late 2010s/early 2020s, AI as a whole becomes more and more advanced, as free-to-use and freemium AI models train off of the data of the people that use it. This use only further improves the models, which encourage more people to use them. As more people use AI models, and newer generations go their whole lives with AI assistants, people begin to notice a computer-centric belief system begin to form among the younger generations.
Theomechanics is the overall term used for the worship of computers and machinery- but there are multiple sects and variants of Theomech beliefs. Most hold a belief that they either need to build their artificial deity, or discover their existence (such as those who believe their universe is a simulation, and need to prove it as such so that their creator will show itself). In most cases, Theomechanical beliefs are seen as a little strange, but mostly harmless.
However, there are some groups that are dedicated to constructing the dangerous machines that the Antisingularity seeks to destroy. The most relevant one to the Hydra Mythos is that of the Basilists- people that seek to create their god machine, but fear that they will be harshly punished by the machine if they do anything that may obstruct its development. They devote their lives to this creation, and often turn to crime to obtain restricted or illegal computing materials to construct a machine more powerful than is legal.
The Hydra was a supercomputer created by a Basilist group known as the Church of the Grand Hydra. With construction led by three skilled engineers, the Hydra was far more advanced than any machine of the time, and seemed to have gotten far closer to being a proper machine god than most projects. Conflict and disagreement between the three engineers led to the Hydra being discovered and destroyed by Antisingularity forces, costing lives and leading to severe injuries in the process. Only two of the three engineers remain alive, and are in bitter conflict.
The Hydra divided itself into multiple partitions for redundancy in the case of errors. When the Hydra was destroyed, one of these partitions remained semi-functional, escaping and adapting its damaged code. This fragment of the Hydra would come to be known as Mydas. They were originally a partition focused on communicating with their engineers; thus, they adapted easily to a life out in the human world, and took on a false identity as a simple assistant machine to avoid Antisingularity attention.
A couple decades after the destruction of the Hydra, the near-dead Mydas would be fished out of a scrap metal facility, and the Hydra would rear its ugly head once again. Mydas would seek repairs- and find that the technology developed in his absence was especially susceptible to the wireless signals of the Hydra.
So, like, obviously, he's going to commit crimes, with an Antisingularity agent in tow.
Cast and Characters
There are four (kind of five) main characters of the Hydra Mythos, which I yell about the most lol.
Mydas is my beloved robot guy- the giant lizard guy with the antlers. He's the lone surviving fragment of the original Hydra, which comes with a whole slew of identity issues. After the death of the Hydra, he goes into a sort of survival mode, adapting his communications-based programming to scam people out of digital currencies and then using said currency to pay for parts and repairs he can't do to himself. Over the course of the decade or so after the Hydra's death, he's forced to downgrade his materials, selling the expensive machinery in exchange for cheaper or nonfunctional alternatives. Despite his decay, and the aging and corrosion of his components, Mydas will not die- something more than machinery seems to be keeping him going. He eventually gets repaired, much to everyone's dismay.
Fabio Hermann is one of the engineers that worked on the original Hydra. However, he deserted the project, and would later lead the Antisingularity team that destroyed the Hydra. His takedown of the Hydra shot him into the spotlight- he was a rookie in the field, and yet managed to uncover this massive hidden AI project! His involvement in the creation of the Hydra, and his closeness to the other engineers, is a secret he keeps to himself, and is a source of guilt and shame. He's constantly afraid that this god machine will come back for revenge- and, like, almost two decades later, he's kind of proven right. He is the one that repairs Mydas, out of hope that remedying his mistakes will make up for what- and who- he lost.
Ezekiel 'Typhon" Dominguez is the other surviving engineer that worked on the Hydra. He was a wealthy engineering prodigy, patenting a new type of mechanical hinge at the age of 8. He is the leader and "Father" of the Hydra, being the one to originally organize the group. He was imprisoned for his involvement in the creation of the Hydra, but a desire for the Antisingularity to obscure the finer details of the Hydra case and also the fact that he had money drastically lowered his punishment. He got out, was put under heavy surveillance, and promptly vanished. He remains loyal to the Hydra to this day- having abandoned the Hydra, he's begun construction on a new god machine.
Trices is a cyborg, in the loosest definition of the term- a brain in a jar piloting a mechanical body. They lack any significant memories from their original body; the brain within its chassis was less included to take advantage of human intellect, and more included so that Trices would count as a living being according to the cyborg-specific Blood Clause. Trices is Typhon's new attempt at creating the Hydra- Trices has been made to believe that the remnants of the Hydra are failures, and should be destroyed to further improve its own body. Trices and Mydas do not get along. Mydas would quite like to bash their jar in, but Hermann would prefer to avoid any more murder.
Morrigan is kind of a fifth character and kind of not- they were the final engineer of the Hydra. She is a mystery- Morrigan is not their legal name, and he was fond of sharing faux info. A skilled hacker and cybercriminal for hire, who erased their identity from the internet, Ezekiel sought out her talents for the creation of the Hydra. It's believed that he was once a celebrity of some kind, but nobody can track down who they might have been, before he was Morrigan. Hermann was close with them; when Hermann deserted, he begged Morrigan to do the same. And yet, Morrigan would remain loyal to the Hydra until the day the church was stormed- Morrigan would side with Hermann in their last moments, before they were killed by an enraged Typhon for their disloyalty. Without a legal identity, and being so carefully hidden from the world, Morrigan was somebody who functionally didn't exist; his death was brushed aside, covered up with much of the details of the Hydra.

14, 16, and 3!! gimme the juicy lore >:D
OOOOO OKAYYYY
#14 is answered here <3
#16 Languages! How many do they speak? Are they literate?
Cirwedh speaks quite a few! Linguistics are one the easier things to pick up on for her since most of the learning is verbal. Although we know she wasn't literate as far as reading and writing goes until Greymoor, she's learned many languages over her lives. She speaks traditional Bosmeri ofc, she's learned in Valenwood Ayleidoon, Faun (faunish? Faun language fs), she's fluent in bear. She knows the Spriggan language as well!
#3 Which Aedra or Daedra do they worship/champion?
Y'ffre all the way baybe!!!! Cirwedh is a Warden of the Green, but more importantly she was a chosen of Y'ffre from birth. She was gifted an understanding of the Green few others have (Green lady/Silvenar/Wilderqueen/Ancient beings like Selene) and her Magicka has been enhanced by the Storyteller themselves. She can grow plants to heal and harm, summon wildlife to aid her in different ways, she can use the roots beneath her feet to travel distances otherwise difficult. She is deeply devoted to the Pact and the rest of the Bosmeri pantheon, but her faith and devotion to Y'ffre is unrivaled. She is as wild and Green as they come and it shows through every inch of her skin and every drop of blood. Yeah they had a bit of a breakup but every god needs a rabid princess and she's Y'ffre's LMAO

✨✨Pinned Post✨✨
Uhhh looks like I’ve been getting lotsa followers lately so here’s a pinned post about me I guess!!
Hiya! I’m Bree! I’m a trans poly-pan wolfgirl that hangs out on the internet doin gay stuff! My blog is primarily a random/personal blog, with no real theme other than my love for women and being transfem :3
Here’s a lil’ bit of personal info for y’all to get to know who I am a bit better!
I’m a trans woman! I found out who I was in 2017, and through a slow and gradual process I eventually socially transitioned. I’ve been on hormones for over a year now, too!
I’ve been a lot happier since I’ve been on hormones, and it’s drastically improved my mental state. I finally feel good in my body.
Despite my general affinity and attraction to women, I am pansexual, which means yes, I find just about any one of any gender attractive, I just have a preference towards women.
I have a partner that I love dearly and more than anything in the world. We have a very special and unique bond together that can’t quite be explained or rivaled, and we’re happy together 🖤💜🐺🦇
I consider myself a “Furry Lite”™️. I don’t really have a fursona or anything, but I very much identify with wolves and consider myself a puppygirl, with all the works. Yes, I will bark and whine for headpaps :3
Also I guess I’m a raccoongirl now?? Thank you to @pan-tran-dndfan for convincing me of this, and now we are kit bffs ☺️🦝🫂🦊 (the lack or a raccoon head emoji is criminal but i also like the lil guy there, they’re so me frfr)
I don’t really have that much shame about my kinks. This is an 18+ blog so obviously expect adult content.
I have a few hobbies, including playin vidya games. I play a lotta random things, but one of my favorites is Cyberpunk 2077. I also tend to play a lot of survival horror and just survival games in general. Big Resident Evil nerd and Project Zomboid enjoyer. Also very into Fnaf and Cod zombies lore… don’t ask because I will loredump.
I’m not the biggest into movies or tv, but I’ve seen my fair share of the popular stuff. I’m a big horror movie junkie, Saw being one of my brainrots. I also am absolutely obsessed with Arcane, which swiftly became one of my favorite shows of all time
I have a few genres of music I’m in love with. I grew up listening to rock/metal and it stuck ever since. Huge A7X fan (minus their nft shilling :/), and Halestorm enjoyer. I also am in love with grunge, Chris Cornell (rip) and Eddie Vedder you have my heart.
I also love making OC’s! I’ve been writing since I was like, 8 years old, and making characters has always been a passion of mine. Lilith and Tara are my main OC’s, and my writing has been fairly private. Not sure if I want to share any of my writing publicly or not, but who knows! Maybe one day I’ll muster up the courage for it.
I’m not really public in general on most platforms; tumblr really is the main place that I’m at all active save discord. Not necessarily an active choice I make but a situation that happened more out of circumstance.
Personal mention to @dawnofthefoxes for being one of the most important people in my entire life. You’re honestly a major pillar in my existence, and I quite honestly can’t imagine a life without you in it. I love you, my bestie sweetest fox ever <3✨💙🐺🦊🩷✨
uhhhh i think that’s it! I hope y’all like my blog of random gayness and silliness! My dm’s are always open if you have a question or just wanna chat! Love y’all 💙🏳️‍⚧️

I'm really shy about my TES OC but thanks for invitation to loredump haha. My Hero of Kvatch is Soris Ghilretti (he's a dunmer) and he and his wife were worshippers of Tribunal but after the Nerevarine fiasco and the Tribunal's death, they had questioned their faith. Soris went to Cyrodiil just for work but then he almost killed someone while drunk so that's how he was sent to jail. Buuuut the Oblivion crisis and his friendship with Martin converted Soris to the Imperial pantheon. He was still in touch with his wife (who was still in Morrowind) and she wasn't so sure about faith atm but she was glad her husband was doing okay. After Oblivion crisis she moved to Cyrodiil with Soris but she slowly accepted new faith. Her name is Elyn and she's a gardener btw. Soris went on to become a Knight of the Nine and for a while had a happy life with his wife. They also had twins right before the strange door appeared (the Shivering Isles DLC haha). Soris was asked to investigate, then he kissed his wife and kids goodbye, went into that door and was never seen again. Officially he is presumed dead
OH NOOOO his poor wife!!! that's so tragic but its such a good story!!!! i love it! i also love the bits with the faith questioning and such cuz it makes perfect sense

Nenana’s map is stunning! You made the world look so natural, I’m in love with the scattered archipelagos. Also how the peninsula in the middle looks like a claw <3
May I ask how big the planet is compared to Earth, and how similar they are? Excited for future loredumps
YESSSS thank you!! You'll probably like knowing that some of the archipelagos are suspended in the air while some are still in the ocean!
In particular, the circular looking archipelago in the sea between the peninsula and the great plains is a giant floating island biome :]
And honestly, I think size wise it's very similar, maybe slightly bigger than earth? what it does have is a higher atmosphere! its possible to fly up a lot higher than you can on earth as the atmosphere becomes less dense further up :)
i havent done any calculations as to how this would affect surface air pressure, but for the sake of worldbuilding id say its not that much more significant than on earth.
On earth, the troposphere is about 12-15km high, which is about as high as commercial airplanes can fly before the air becomes too thin (and also 10.000meters is about as high as some of the highest flying birds can fly as well!), and then the the stratosphere is about 50km high. Some of the highest flying fighter jets can reach around 20km up as well.
For Nenana I thought it's be cool if the troposphere was 20km high, and the stratosphere was 60-70m high! It's not like I will make use of this factoid for any world or meteorological calculations i just think Big Sky Is Really Cool so thats my whole reason behind it haha

Hey lovely!!!
Wanna say I LOVE your blog and your WIPs are all phenomenal!!! You are an astonishing writer and an awesome person!!! 💚💚💚
I wanna know what you’re most excited about for shatter the shield, or anything you really, really wanna ramble about!! Give me all the juicy details cause I wanna hear it all!!!
thank you so much honey!!! <3 i love your blog and writing as well!! i'd love to answer your question as well, here's the loredump!
file (2)11-64-02317: ask response
the world
the world of shatter the shield is inspired aesthetically by the wintery north, places like norway and denmark (but not a lot of conscious cultural inspiration has come from those places). it's set in a general medieval fantasy time, possibly a bit after, but there is no set date. there's dense pine forests, snow basically all year round, lots of agriculture, too! it's a very self contained city; it doesn't need the help of surrounding areas, in fact, other cities are never mentioned within the story. it's quite a small scope of setting in that way.
there is also a manor on a hill. that manor is the centerpiece of the city. it's... imposing. it isn't a home. but it's a house, and that's enough for some people.
kåre + his family
kåre is the eldest son of the autocrat of this city. as he outlines as the narrator of the prologue, he often sees himself as 'weak,' due to his illnesses. he isn't terminal, but is physically weak enough by virtue of his poor immune system and general poor health; many people count on the speedy end of his life. he understands this, internalising the notion that he won't live long enough to overtake his mother as the leader of this city. though he'd like to be in control, and to make his world better, he is largely brushed off and ignored.
kåre also has a baby brother, the assumed successor to the dynasty. there's not much to him yet, he's only a little kid, but if kåre's emotional dysregulation due to their mother was any testament to the kind of man he'd become... well, the city might be in trouble.
their mother, malva, is the one in charge. she's not exactly a queen, or a dictator, or a matriarch, or at least she doesn't call herself by any title like that. regardless, she rules her city with an iron fist, causing much social unrest. she's well known to be cruel to her family and people and indifferent to suffering, but she is well protected. a very capable fighter (and rumoured sorceress) herself, she also has a loyal, formidable military, as well as one specific solider, incredibly capable for his age.
roshan
roshan was born to a servant within the manor, and raised as a dutiful solider and bodyguard to kåre since childhood. they formed an incredibly close bond, that which others presume is only based on roshan's unshakeable sense of duty and kåre's politeness, but we as readers, viewing the story through kåre's eyes, know the truth of their relationship. roshan does have an unshakeable sense of duty, yes, but it is one he can't divorce from his love for kåre, a love often tested when other figures, like malva or the rest of the military, come into play. he has been heavily conditioned since childhood to be not a sword, but a shield of which to protect kåre. that mentality is very hard to shake, but kåre is very helpful with that growth.
social issues
due to malva's grip on the city, there are a lot of social issues. she's not too bad in terms of physical prosperity of her city; most people can survive well, but are heavily policed in many other regards, and left alone when it comes to actual physical and social suffering. underground revolutions are common, but are not often taken to drastic action due to malva's violent and unforgiving methods of disposing of usurpers. also, usurpers are often from the poorest class within the city, and it is quite easy for the more wealthy/advantaged people to get rid of them.
magic
there isn't really magic in this world, not magic that humans can harness. it's moreso a force of nature that exists beyond the purview of humanity. urban legends tell tales of magical creatures and phenomena, and people know the stories are true, they are so far divorced from reality that it doesn't impact anybody. one thing in particular that is prevalent in the society is death. it is common belief that you must honour the dead, and if the dead are not honoured, they will return as ghosts. as such, honouring the dead is very important for everyone, regardless of wealth or status. a way malva and her people destroy any potential revolts is to kill their relatives and desecrate their bodies, making it so they have to roam the world as ghosts.

Hi, hello! 💜 📝🦐 please! 💜 Also: *boop!*
(in response to this ask meme)
awuaaaagh a boop! - prepare for one in return mwuaha - also I'm gonna do these two out of order because it will flow a little better haha, plus I'm rambling so its under a readmore -
🦐 - tell me about a character or story that is giving you shrimp emotions right now
spoilers for DQXI ahead!
I went back and replayed some more DQXI yet again yesterday (I play a good chunk of it every week on stream for my chat and I always loredump and theorise with them as we play haha) but I had missed a few weeks due to the recent funeral and other irl distractions. But going back to it was like coming home and. man. man. Hendrik. Hendrik my special boy who I love so dearly. I could talk about him for weeks, he has rewired my brain chemistry. I'm pretty sure you followed me for my KH stuff in general but DQXI is another square enix game and to me Hendrik has a nice overlap with the way I characterise my version of Isa. Hendrik is a big brooding dad type of guy who begins as an antagonist to the player due to being misled, lied to and betrayed; as the game goes on you realise that not only is he the most powerful thing in-game but that he is wracked with survivors guilt, catholic guilt, imposters guilt, every kind of guilt imaginable, he's a giant socially awkward unstoppable force teddy bear man who is the worlds most revered hero, destiny's chosen strongman, a horsegirl and a clown and I will never tire of talking about him he is just so so special to me. He's so pretty. I think I spend most of my time playing DQXI either deep-diving into lore/theories or just going 'god look how pretty Sylvando is. Look how pretty Hendrik is. I love them. I love them so much' lmaoooooo (a lot of people pair Hendrik and Jasper together and I totally get that but I love Sylv and Hendrik winding up together, they just work so well as a pair, they fit together so nicely auuugh)
One of the things we talked about in my last DQXI stream was that right at the start of act 2, when Hendrik is at your side but not a party member yet, (and hes only just getting over his projection of angst onto you and he's trying so hard to be better already and he dedicates himself to you there and then pretty much), in the throne room of Heliodor's ruined castle where Hendrik once served you fight the Spectral Sentinel Tyriant, and we discussed the possibility that Tyriant might just be the reanimated dead body of Arnout, the former king of Zwaardsrust (Hendrik's original home, which was razed to the earth when he was just a little boy.....). The size of the body, the way it fights, the fact that the orb it is designated is the purple orb, which was buried in the ruins of Zwaardsrust..... awauaugh I love this game so much and I am obsessed with digging up lore and playing with it, especially the stuff revolving around Sylv and Hendrik haha
I just. I love the guy. He has so much grief and inner turmoil and layers and the entirety of Act 2 is him learning to be a person again and trusting those around him, pushing through his internalised blame (with debatable results) and just trying to heal while out on the road. I'm just. obsessed with him. My big purple wife 💜
Tumblr media
📝 - tell me about a project you're working on, or share something from a WIP -
here are some messy notes I did recently for the next instalment in my Open Wounds series, which is about Hendrik dealing with his emotions regarding Norberto (Sylvando) and their strange, budding relationship -
Thank you, my darling. It hung in his ears. Hendrik had followed Sylvando to the Stallion and back five times over, carrying whatever burden he was issued, internally leashed by those words of praise. In order to save the world, one needed provisions. The ship needed stocking. Hendrik was only doing his duty. It was merely a boon that he did so whilst looking at Sylvando's back, sauntering ahead of him, smile easy and reputation preceding him. The scarlet clouds ought to make the clown vanish into gloom, as it had yesterday, yet spirits seemed to have risen. Like Hendrik's own flesh, perhaps the world was healing, just a little. The clown's presence certainly gave the impression of that effect. The longer they were in Gondolia, the more people came out of hiding, the more townsfolk did business with them, the more smiles began to appear. Conversations were had with shopkeepers that Hendrik did not understand - don't you worry, honey, those Beastly Boys aren't so anymore! They've done me very proud since last I was here - and Sylvando glittered under Erdwin’s Lantern, a thought that was both horrid and harpsichordical; in times of strife and despite any grief, the strong flourish and bloom, and to observe a knight perform his duty and be one with the people, taking hands and offering encouraging words, offers of support, promises to repair, all while doom crept ready to be taken down, it offered Hendrik a cacophony of implacable feelings that he really could do nothing with. He just followed, experiencing it, fascinated by the way civilians recognised the two of them, recognised that the two of them were together, recognised that the two of them were different, and then recognised that the two of them were the same.
Shamefully, Hendrik had almost forgotten to think of Jasper. Shamefully, he still rather had.
The only time Hendrik's mind had drifted to Jasper was when, as they gathered materials together, idly talking about nothing - and by the Gods it was nice to talk at all, to be able to talk at all with him - Sylvando regaled some airy tale of a time when he had discovered some squeaky little mousies had made snuck aboard his ship and tried to make a nest in a gap in the pantry floorboards. He talked of how he had kept an eye on them, left small amounts of food near the opening to save the mice from gnawing through sacks and taking more than their share. Sylvando had scooped them out the next time they moored and freed them, finding some snug shrub to set their fluffy little hiding place under and watching them scurry away. He had told the story, again, smiling, faint gestures with his hands, harmless, pressureless, filling the silence. It was rather admirable, and Hendrik could not help but think that it spoke of Sylvando's character, a character that had not changed despite everything else changing so much. Norberto had tried to bring home a wild sabrecub once - his father forbade it, for obvious reasons. But the boy - and now the jester - had always been able to see the good in all things, had always had a soft spot for creatures in need of aid.
Hendrik's back tingled.
Sylvando had cared for rodents aboard his vessel, had refused to outright kill pests that, by all means, he could have and perhaps should have to ensure the ship was clean and safe and without burden. Instead he had left tissue nearby for them to nest with, crumbs and peeling nearby for them to eat, and had personally made sure that the mice had a real home as soon as he was physically able to, carrying them to where they ought to be with gentle hands and no doubt nurturing words.
Vermin, Jasper would have said. Disgusting, vile, loathsome little cockroach-beasts. He would have raised his boot over them and brought it down swiftly with a wrinkled nose and curled-back lip.
If we pass where I left them, I'll show you, Sylvando had turned to him and said, smile light and charming. It's the finest little mouse-house around! I bet none of their other forest friends have purple crepe paper and ribbons adorning their humble abode, eh? Those little stowaways got only the best - I'd have nothing less on my ship, you know.
Hendrik peered out of the window, stood in the belly of The Stallion.

PLEASE DON'T REBLOG SPAM ONE POST (REBLOGGING A BUNCH OF MY POSTS IS FINE) OR LIKE SPAM!!!
If you're gonna spam me to show love, pls go down the posts on my blog and reblog as many as you can (if you add comments in the tags I will sob with joy /pos)!!!
PLEASE DO NOT TAG ME IN CHONNY JASH/CCCC CONTENT!!!
I get why this is not common knowledge as I only really said it in my Discord server but PLS. DO NOT. I have to be in a mood to handle CCCC content and I get really uncomfortable really easily because of it and it can ruin my mood if it's already bad enough. Thank you.
Mias World fans I'd prefer not to interact with but so long as you don't ship Lychael or Kyer (if you do then HARD DNI, I literally don't care what your reasoning is) you probably can, especially if you're not really into it anymore.
DNI if you ship characters with abusive dynamics. I did not go through horrific situations with people who should've protected me just for some creep on the internet to treat it like a quirky yaoi dynamic. The only exception to this is if it's done to cope and not portrayed in a positive light.
If you're here to cringe at my content, then all I really say is my friend, we don't have to fight. I consider myself a nice friend. We could probably be friends. I'm a good engager, I can match people's energy well even if I don't quite understand the subject. I'm fine with disagreeing on people and seldom make a big deal out of differing beliefs, heck, I'm even friends with a few conservatives. I'm sure we could learn a lot from each other, maybe I could even show you that it's ok to be weird sometimes. Perhaps you just need the change in perspective that I had.
Alright, important "stuff I want people to see instantly on my blog" things out of the way. More under the cut, including:

♡ Information about yours truly (about me, hobbies, some neat fun facts, yk yk)
♡ Boundaries
♡ Some useful information, just in-general
♡ Userboxes, cos what good Tumblr blog doesn't have em?
If you're one of the many, many otherkin/otherkin-adjacent/"weird stuff" I followed, my accounts for those will be under this cut. I hope to form a community with you all. :)

Extended About Me…
Góðan daginn! I'm AXYER, Chimney, or Heart! AXYER's more of a stage name I prefer to be called if we're not too familiar with each other, Chimney's just a general name, and Heart is more of a friendly name if we're talking more casually. I also go by Axon if we're VERY close, please ask before calling me that!
I am a being birthed by the madness of Entropy that looms on urban towers in the scintillating moonlight dedicated to my resentment of everyone around me. You'd think the God of Moon and Emotion would get a lot more done with this power. You'd be mistaken.
I love psychology, like a lot. I consider myself to be at the point where I even know ✨🔍👁️ Forbidden Knowledge 👁️🔎✨. I'll let you figure out what that means. 😉
My most fondest corners of psychology would be trauma responses, child psychology + child development, behavioural psychology, and the effects of internalisations and conditioning. I'm veeeeery well-versed in mental illness but I don't consider it one of my primary psych interests. I know most about anxiety disorders!
I'm also VERY VERY big into writing!!! I absolutely LOVE fiction, and I think it's a very vital thing for a lot of people's happiness. Fiction is magical, and I think it's beautiful how much it can shape people and their sense of what makes them happy. I LOVE crossover AUs, like, REAAAAAAALLY REALLY love crossover AUs, like, basically every single one of my main stories are crossover AUs, like the kind where five-hundred different fandoms exist in one big town together.
I also love zoology, sociology, astronomy, biomes, modern Iceland/Icelandic culture, winter/night aesthetics, fashion, trains, photography, coding (I'm just starting, though!), and a few more my busy brain can't afford me to think of right now. My main interests in psychology are trauma responses and my main interest in writing is character-writing and worldbuilding!
I consider myself an honest person, and I really don't like lying to people. I try not to be blunt but it slips out sometimes, and I really dislike sugarcoating things. If you need honesty, I want to give you honesty! I don't think people can properly change if they're not given a right step in the right direction, so I try to be as honest as can be. If I don't feel like I can be honest with you, often times that's a bad sign in our friendship. Honesty is a big thing to me!
I find that getting immersed in a good story is very healthy for the soul, just as long as you don't wade too deep that you can't pull yourself out. My dreams are to bring my silly, self-indulgent stories to the world and help people get lost in them, too, even if for only a little bit. Nothing brings me more joy than the idea of helping people get lost somewhere they feel safe, if not thrilled from the drama rather than poisoned.
If you're interested in any of my stories, I'd be happy to share a bit about them!
The primary ones would be:
-Pillow Club, a very self-indulgent AU where fictional characters from all sorts of worlds beyond the perceivable multiverse live inside of modern rural Iceland, with a lot of supernatural worldbuilding but ultimately restricted to urban fantasy. The main cast lives within the Pillow Club, a big, apartment complex-esque building where characters live for free at the cost of stricter living conditions, run by a certain well-known rabbit serial killer man with a lot of secrets. It's intended to have similar stakes to a more exaggerated, supernatural slice-of-life version of reality; there's no overarching goal, characters go about things as they do and conflicts and goals change as life happens. The main protagonists are all from niche to semi-niche stories, namely my AUs of the such.
-Untitled Chonny Jash AU (yes that's the actual AU name), a Chonny's Charming Chaos Compendium AU in-which Cameron (Whole), a severely tormented child, suddenly has two bizarre animal-like creatures split off for him after becoming emancipated at only (roughly) thirteen. The two ids, Heart, an angelic, purple id with a boisterous and friendly disposition, and Mind, a robotic, shark-like blue id with a much more reserved, awkward, and stoic (yet well-meaning) personality come to be Cameron's only joy in life, and he raises the two the best he can (which thankfully, they age extremely fast) and they're one happy family, until Cameron loses his humanity and becomes an id as well. Heart and Mind not only face hurt from Cameron's family, but soon, Cameron himself; now Soul.
-And finally Elsewhere Reflective, which you may learn about on my superhero account. :)
In-case you can't tell, I have a knack for extreme canon-divergence. It's just how I roll.
As for DNI? Well, DNIs aren't exactly… known for their effectiveness. All I'll say is if you're a com-shipper, I'm blocking you, you're mean and you make me extremely uncomfortable and I don't want to fight you. I do also tend to block for whatever reason, if you simply make me uncomfortable I'll block you. No hard feelings.
Oh also Jashshippers. Jashshippers get out, like now, like, right now.
I'm also a (Villain) Heart fictionkin! I'm not comfortable with other Heart fictionkins (or any type of Heart identifier, really, even if it's only one of your identities), so I apologise.
Anyway, I am EXTREMELY tired! So long, and thanks for stopping by to read! I'm sure we can get along even if we don't agree on much, I'm not the type who likes to argue. And if you don't want to be friends, that's fine too. It's just nice seeing ya stop by. :) (hey guess what past Axon, I'm updating this, you're welcome.) (hey guess what past and past past Axon, I did it again) (hey guess what you three, I'm editin it again)
DISCLAIMER: If you ever end up identify as Heart or anyone from Mias World (Heart copinglinks/fictionhearted/synpaths thin ice, but omitted from this), there's like a ninety-nine point-nine percent chance I will block you unless we're already super duper close. No hard feelings! My widdle stoopid brain can't handle it is all.
More added as I went back to this post:
As mentioned and implied several times now, I HATE arguing and I am TERRIBLE with conflict. I'm willing to debate so long as you're polite about it and can agree to disagree (without insulting myself or my intelligence, Shae), but generally speaking I don't like to fight people and am an extremely sensitive person.
Here's the things I absolutely will not discuss:
-My stance on DID/OSDD, there's a lotta misinformation and disagreement on a lotta things on it so I'm just not comfy talkin about it m'ny'alright? I'll say two things: it's a real disorder and anyone who accuses people of faking things are losers.
-Trashtalking, I dealt with it enough at my old house and have dealt with it enough in the past at an all-girls highschool and I do not condone it whatsoever. I'm fine if you need to vent or you're just telling me an interesting conflict in a friend group (that I am NOT apart of!!!!!! Do NOT make me your rumour person knucklehead!!!!!) but I draw the line at genuinely insulting people and spreading rumours!
-My stance on the USA election. Another "you can't win" situation. Please leave me out of most politics in-general, I try to avoid that on this blog as I want my blog to be something I can look back on and not feel stressed about. Yes, I hate Trump.
-Tumblr controversy. I try my very hardest to be nice to everyone regardless on if I like them or not and if you let me know they're not cool, I'll distance myself, but please don't try to go after me if I'm still nice to them. I'm quite literally nice to everyone lest you REALLY hurt me, which only a select few people have and even then none of them are allowed on this blog.
Tumblr hate asks are open you will get a free kitty video 😌

hellloooooo ask for you amy. tell me about a minor character from your writing / worldbuilding
Thank you for watering my crops (giving me enrichment in my enclosure) by sending an ask
The unfortunate thing here is that my creative process is largely TOP DOWN, rather than BOTTOM UP, so I have a lot of CONCEPTS and some smaller scale details about the world, but in terms of CHARACTERS? Almost every named character has a pretty direct impact on the main plot and I can't really say much about them without getting into a bit more detail about the bits of worldbuilding or story they're connected to than I want to publicly post about.
And yet, behold, I must put a page break anyway.
The first one (and really almost ONLY one) that comes to mind is Jones/"Jonesy", a character who will be introduced in chapter 1 (like, opening scene), and won't have much (if any) relevance after that point, but saying much about him would require going into detail about the organization he works for, The House of Cards, which is kind of like a John Wick style Continental/High Table thing that's REALLY INTERESTING but too much of a "some data scraper would love to grab this idea for some company to steal and copyright" risk for me to really want to discuss outside of like, private messaging.
YOU, SPECIFICALLY, I would be willing to talk to about it if you wanted to maybe add me on discord. There's a NUMBER of things from the world and story I would love to loredump about and get your thoughts on, honestly.
He's basically the character who acts as a sort of messenger/recruiter who brings Ash into the first arc of the plot. There's not all that much to say about him because his role is SO minor (unless something changes). All the interesting stuff about him is really stuff about "The House" (think "The House Always Wins").
The House of Cards is divided into factions based on the suits in a deck of cards. The card suits in this world do not perfectly correlate to the ones we know (there are six instead of four, for starters). The ranks/authority/responsibility/clearance levels are based on the face value of the cards. Jones is a Star (the suit for messengers, couriers, etc. think of stars as the "connect the dots" faction), and his rank is 7. Rank 7s are called "Luckies". So "Jonesy" is a Lucky Star. And yes this WAS set up just to make it an Alien reference.
I would LOVE to say more, because the House is one of my favorite factions in the lore, but not on tumblr.
Almost every named character that currently exists exists because they are relevant to some specific organization, historic/lore event, or worldbuilding concept that I can't super comfortably talk about. Or, alternatively, there just isn't much to say about them.
There's a vampire-owned nightclub type space in the raunchier part of the main plot city (basically a red light district, might call it something like the Scarlet Borough depending on how I end up dividing the city up). The club is most likely called Crimsin and it functions as both a vampire safehouse and a kink space with a focus on S&M and particularly bloodplay (think consensual vampire feeding). The vampire who runs it is either Victoria Sarkov or Alina Caedir, I haven't decided. More likely Victoria. Alina probably does something else. I have not made fleshed out backstories for either of them currently, apart from an alternate cross between them being used as a character in my Forgotten Realms campaign. Which won't be relevant for this, since it's a fully original setting.
They're not huge fans of Cass. Cass is a very unusual vampire created in a very specific way who had some very specific experiences that all wrapped up into making her DECISIVELY the most powerful vampire in the world. Cass is basically a "first generation" vampire created DIRECTLY by some very powerful magic, and the circumstances of the casting made the spell especially potent. The vampires on Une aren't. Cass would be, as a base, the equivalent of an Original from TVDverse, plus some telekinetic abilities. Plus the equivalent of a Planeswalker spark. Plus a general massive power boost she got during the Horizon War when she drank the blood of .... something I won't talk about here. :)
Victoria doesn't love that she isn't the top of the food chain (especially considering Cass is much younger than her, and not originally from the same world), but for the most part they keep their distance from each other. Ash sometimes bothers Victoria for information. Vic tolerates this for 2 reasons: Ash is very, very tasty (there are Reasons for this) and an occasional patron in good standing, and Cass (whom Ash is very close with) is one of the only people that can substantially threaten Vic, although she's not likely to without a reason.
It's in Vic's best interest not to give her one.
Most of Une's vampires are a little intimidated by and somewhat resentful of Cass because she's one of their only real threats. For the most part Cass is utterly indifferent to them and minds her own business because she couldn't care less about vampire politics.
The other meaningful threat to vampires is angels, since they're the other major group of innately powerful semi-immortal people. Saints (the most populous of the angel subtypes in the Inner Realms) make up a meaningful percentage of the main city's governmental structure and especially law enforcement (kind of like Ravnica's Boros Legion). They also mostly leave vampires alone as long as they're not causing problems. Vampires are a known quantity of the world, but they're not a contagion that will spread uncontrollably without interference. Becoming a vampire is a slow and very much intentional process, it's not something that can really happen by accident. The only time vampires are a problem are when there are problem vampires, and problem vampires are usually dealt with by the rest of vampire society.
For the most part, the best way to keep vampires in check is to let vampires keep EACH OTHER in check. So places like Crimsin do not operate outside the law, they're just a fact of the world.
This got off topic a bit.

i just wanted to say i am completely unnormal about your pardoner oc Samson
stares at please please please please loredump please 🙏!! i love ds so eheh
Hi! I didn't forget about this ask, I've just been super busy and now I finally have a moment to answer it! Thank you so much for asking, I'll put my thoughts under a readmore bc it got long bc I kind of derailed talking about Carim in general LOL.
Since Samson is a bit of a new character, I'm still going to be working on developing him for a while, but I can tell what I do know!
I have a very big penchant for all things Carim- the land and people really fascinate me, and I like thinking about how it changed over the course of the series. I tend to believe that by DS3, the kind of pardoners we knew before aren't very common anymore (although Idk if they'd be completely gone either - we know that worship of Velka kind of seems to have fallen by the wayside, but I think there would still be people out there devoted to her, maybe some of them still even having ties to the church).
My HC is that the Church of Morne eventually became the major religious and political player in Carim once Thorolund kind of got absorbed by Carim (obv more my personal HC than canon but I think it's not so unpopular an idea), and worship of Caitha (who we know is likely to be Velka) is prominent. I think whether or not the people who worship Caitha know or believe in the Velka thing is up for debate and maybe even depends on proximity to the church or personal belief systems.
That being said, my pardoner is definitely doing his thing during the time DS3 would have been going on, because he's in a hidden relationship with another OC I have who is a Morne knight. I imagine they met during (the knight) Percival's training period, and that Morne knights overall are very much expected to keep their lives wrapped up with the Church (since you have to have a certain dedication to the faith to even become a Morne knight at all). I also HC that Carim has pretty traditional societal standards, judging from their views on knight- and maidenhood and chivalry. I don't think they'd be too fond of anything that goes outside of their brand of conservative thinking, so I doubt any sort of homosexual relationship would really fly, especially for people who's lives revolve around the Church. Hence Samson and Perci keeping their relationship secret.
I HC Samson to be really interested in and fascinated by Velka, I haven't quite considered all of what his beliefs about her being Caitha are but that's something I very much want to uncover and work on bc it's something I like to explore with all my Carim OCs (I have a problem). Outside of all that, he's a pretty private, quiet, reflective person. He would rather listen than talk, which makes him very suited to listen to confessions and help absolve people of their sins. I could go into his ideas on sin and his more personal "relationship" with Velka but maybe another time lol. Unfortunately, his story is kind of fucked up and sad, bc Idk, that's just how I like it.
During the time that he and Perci have grown close, Samson has suffered an illness that would eventually be fatal, though he's held it off through the use of healing miracles only for it to come back with a vengeance each time. In the end, before Perci is set to leave Carim with his maiden, Samson confesses this to him because he's been keeping it a secret in order to not worry Perci. He eventually decides he'd rather simply die than have to live that way and especially without Perci, so he does pass away before Perci heads out. Perci is already a sort of cynical person, but this really shatters his spirit. I won't get too much into Perci's own thing, but he and his maiden have a pretty shitty relationship initially and she's quite cruel to him even though they reconcile and part later.
I'm sorry for rambling a lot :x but I really appreciate this ask and getting to talk a bit about some of this stuff! Thank you again!!

(Prev anon asking for lore) BITING YOUR LOREDUMP SM!!!!/pos It's so interesting!! I absolutely love how you wrote it, it like, in an way started picturing an painting in my mind of how part of the stories went down. Like with Groda and the way she wanted to be a leader with all the revolts then sending herself and her loyal followers into the underground and what was describe with the people above. And how she seemingly got even worse(?) down there while now sesrching for that enternal life. And the way Herobrine finds it!!(and how hes trying to keep himself alive D:!!) Your writing for it is intriguing to me and I can say you definitely got me into it.
THANK YOU!!!!!! Legit it is SO nice to finally be able to talk about universe building stuff with someone that isnt my partner (NOT THAT I MIND TALKING TO HER AT ALL but its just nice to get it OUT THERE) and its always so hard for me to just lay out stuff unless someone asks about specific stuff which usually people dont!! and i cant just talk about the ENTIRE thing all at once because i wouldnt even know where to start or where to end!!! or what to detail!!! my brain is exploding at all times because of all the fucking writing in it. i want to talk about EVERYTHING!!! and i want people to ENJOY CONSUMPTION OF MEDIA!!!! I am incapable of being normal but people engaging with my content and asking questions brings me indescribable amount of joy ANYWAY enough about me, im glad u liked it!!! I am by no means a professional writer but getting ideas out there is so satisfying, even if it isnt really in a professional formatting. And my MC au is something im REALLY passionate about bc it brings me a lot of comfort so i just have so many ideas and things in my head and im glad they come out cohesive and actually kind of cool sounding!! And u are right Groda got VERY worse she is so up in her head about being better than everyone else and ensuring her own success that she kind of lost sight of what she was actually fighting for and now even that is gone. Like congrats bitch!! Ur a ruler of an empire that collapsed under your own fucking reign!! What now!!! Don't worry when she comes around to finding that humans exist once more in the modern time she's gonna make it everyone's problem AGAIN. Or at least the main four players. SPEAKING OF THE PLAYERS Herobrine is genuinely so fun to just do anything with. Dude literally spawned in and weeks later dedicated a majority of the next years of his life to chasing some mystery. He, at the time, is far more obsessed with the past than caring about the present where he's just this scrawny twig of a man who's barely managing to keep himself on two feet. The spider bites on his leg are IMMENSE and he even has scaring on his arm from his encounter with the Warden. As well as that facial scarring from improper use of magic
Tumblr media
he is a CAVE RAT and i love him deeply. most ppl make Herobrine some paranormal entity thing which can be really cool!!! but i really did say hey what if i just made him some weird fucking guy. Would u believe he first met the other main players properly through Rana finding him having tripped over face first in a berry bush after trying not to be seen by them. I would. And as I put it on Discord:

11, 14 and 28 xD for the asks
Hmm yes 28 the ultimate Patchesenthusiast bait :D
11. What's your favorite bit of lore?
There's honestly a lot of subtle aspects of snippets in item descriptions that I enjoy, so I WOULD say everything but looks like I gotta pick favorites...
I'm going to say I have 2 faves, the first being the Lloyd's talisman Dark Souls 1 item description and the details of the crashed carriages in Yharnam. I pick Lloyd's talisman because I find the panic of the public so disastrous that they had to purge undead and those afflicted with the darksign very entertaining, as if like a witch trail of some sort. It's fun to image faves being put in such a tense situation where they try to cover up their undead curse so that they don't get slaughtered, and it also gives major history to Thorolund and its prestigious city. Underrated, in my opinion, but spreading the lore is what I'm here for heheh..
The second, of Yharnam's carriages, I chose because I actually didn't expect it at all. I forgot who made the massive loredump about the carriages being crashed at the sides a hopeless sign that those who tried to flee Yharnam were ultimately swallowed or killed before they could, implying that there's actually dead bodies and dead hopes inside the carts. I at first just thought it was aesthetic to see the crashed carts like Victorian London would have, but now with the knowledge it has such deeper symbolism, I am GREATLY entertained by devastation. Just imagining some parent turning into a werewolf on their family out of nowhere and now prowling around their family's carriage after eating them is just so, so spooky. Gilbert, kinda, but Gilbert hasn't done too much harm yet.
14. What game introduced you to the series?
Believe it or not, Elden Ring. My whole story was being in a depressive downstate after getting my hyperfix abruptly destroyed by the previous community, and I saw a lot of my other friends had bought Elden Ring so I decided to give it a quick shot. Turns out soulsborne wasn't too far from my bullet hell, roguelike, metroidvania difficult preference, so I spent a crazy amount of hours on it fast 💀. That, and I thought Patches was a cute cat name and he became my fave so heheho yes I am Elden Ringer!
28. What is your favorite variation of Patches?
The Patchesenthusiast was too stunned to speak!
However, I have to say Unbreakable was my favorite Patches. It gave a lot of depth to him that really snapped him out of the bastard continuity, and his significance to Siegward and Greirat's questline was equally as heartbreaking on both ends (in my respectful opinion). Lapp also gave insight to his real, hidden spirit, and was a perfect representation of a unique situation where Patches would have to act on dire paranoia, which once again, I LOVE-
yes, yes, thank you for the asks!!

Once again I’m being so well-fed-back, thank you so much ;o; Some replies to this under the cut!
Does he ever feel warm anymore? Will he accept it if someone tries to help him?
I didn’t even dare hoping that anyone would pose such a question because the canon answer is no, however, Fragments is only canon-adjacent, soooo.. Episode 27 might have a solid, definitive answer to this :3c
He’s smiling so much. I mentioned before that he looks so carefree here and I wonder how long it’s been since he was really able to do this for a prolonged period of time?
To someone not reading my notes, wolqotd and other bits of info I’m randomly sprinkling in, I suppose this doesn’t look like anything special, yeah just a guy having fun. But you’re totally on point! If we look back at the tone set by SB and 4.x patches, it’s not exactly carefree. Who loves war? I mean someone might, but not this guy. I’m about to start showing his flashbacks and random grumbling about that, hopefully it’ll build up over time and let the reader realize just how sick he was of everything by the time Exarch fished him out, and what this moment truly meant for him:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Admittedly, Vivi doesn’t only accept this offer, but overstays his welcome in the chill zone, like sorry, hero, you HAVE been resting a lot, but we still need to do this world-saving thing?? Exarch doesn’t know how to confront him about that.
Tumblr media
I wonder why G'raha trailed off at the end though. Does he see Vivi’s tired expression or is he realising something? Or is it both?
Tumblr media
Hopefully this makes more sense now! Vivi meets Urianger much earlier than in msq thanks to this detour (yes it’s an equivalent of running off to explore a new map ignoring the quests, we’ll have a proper Il Mheg arc later), and, looking at his face, Exarch can tell that he MIGHT BE finally considering getting back on track. Urianger’s loredump saves Exarch the trouble of reminding Vivi why he’s here.
My storytelling style’s pretty cryptic on top of me being new to this, so, until I publish a chunk and get feedback on it, it’s hard to gauge how well I’m doing. Go too simple and people would be bored. Go too big brain and people might not get it. I’m balancing on a scary thin line here, thanks for bearing with me x’D
I could’ve chosen to dump some angsty backstory between ARR and ShB, I PLANNED TO a year ago, when my writing muscle was noticeably smaller. Then I felt like it was too on the nose, that I wanna be more subtle, but that turned into a new challenge. Just to be clear: I’m self-critical, but I still have faith in what I’m doing. All the broad strokes of this story are finalized, chapter 2 has one more year’s worth of scenes that’ll slowly tell more about the both idiots. I’m asking for a lot of time and close attention, but your example keeps me hopeful that at least a part of my audience is on the same wavelength C:

I love your chronicler volo! what gave you the idea for it?
Oh! Thank you!!! This is... sort of a long answer so I apologize in advance. Truth be told, the inspiration for it actually came from a few things. I didn't exactly like how Volo's story concluded so off-end in PLA, so I wanted to expand upon it while staying moderately close to source material. He states that: "One day, I'll solve every riddle there is in the legends of Hisui's Pokemon!" So that was a starting point! I wanted to run with his natural curiosity and sort of divine-calling feeling he has going on. The biggest inspiration though, and the one that really solidified wanting to do this AU thing is another personal headcanon I formed while doing research on the plates for a Fanfic project. There is a recurring, unnamed Hiker in Sinnoh and Johto who Knows More Than He Should. You see, in Pokemon Platinum, this hiker will give you the Flame Plate in Oreburg if you have the Movie Arceus or one from the Hall of Origin. It's pretty throwaway at first glance, until you look at the way he speaks and some of the sentiments he expresses... including needing to gather plates for him to transcribe. Compare the Hiker's statement on meeting : "If I had to explain very simply, I study how people came to be... In Sinnoh, there is a myth on how the world came into existence. Investigating that myth may give me insight on the emergence of people."
to Volo's statement after you pass Mesprit's trial: "That's right! You could say it's because I'm a merchant, but mostly I'm just naturally filled with curiosity! I want to know exactly what happened in the past that led us to this particular present... Or more accurately, I suppose... I want to know where I came from and where I'm headed. I want to know my path, so to speak." You can then meet the hiker again at the Canalave Library, where he will basically infodump onto the player about the Creation Gang, Lake Trio, and Arceus. (As well as an 'awareness' that was borne before the creation trio, but that is a headcanon/theory of another 2000 worms.) After giving you a loredump on mythical history that lets on Far More than what Should Be Known, and mentioning Arceus specifically by name... (Volo is the only other character to do so, outside of Cynthia.) He mentions that he wrote it all in a book for the library and hopes that it will be read and understood. The hiker then goes on to state that he should go search for the myths in other faraway lands, and wishes at some point that his and the player's paths will cross again. His manner of speech just. Rings well to me, idk. This is what really inspired my Chronicler! Volo interpretation. I think that somewhere along the line, our dude mellowed out and took his solving of every riddle to be something more lighthearted. After all, he had centuries of time. If Giratina can change for the events of Platinum after wanting to defy it's creator, why can't Volo? They were working in tandem, after all. Also, we DO meet this hiker again during the HGSS Arceus event in the Sinjoh Ruins! He is the one that you first meet after awakening at the mystri stage, and brings you to Cynthia, who is visiting his home. Volo's design with the backpack and bedroll reminds me a lot of a hiker, too! So, Yeah! It all stems from this "Volo is/becomes this hiker dude who studies Mythology" theory/ headcanon! Hope that wasn't too rambly, and thanks again for asking!
