Hm...I am interested (aka. I love royalty AUs), what's the story behind the royalty au for Soutaku you just posted? Like, how did the two met in this AU and why?

THIS AU IS....maximum slow burn. It’s actually a fake marriage + royalty AU, with Prince Takumi getting engaged to Prince Souma, for the sake of tying peace between both countries.

A super general overview is that King Jouichirou and King Toshiaki (the headcanon Aldini dad) have been struggling for the entirety of their rules to successfully have a peace treaty signed between their Kingdoms, respectively the coastal Kingdom of Sea and the landlocked Kingdom of Sky, but have failed bc the previous rulers’ influence of war and chaos linger too strongly. 

In total deus ex machina, there used to be a legendary prophecy about destined soulmates from each country possessing eyes the colour of the opposite land that will fall in love at first sight and bring an end to the era of calamity with their love, oh boy i wonder who those lovebirds could be :”))) Honestly this prophecy is old as ass and hardly anyone even remembers this, but the Kings realise this is. Probably their last hope in trying to get the mass public in accepting peace. It’s a last ditch effort and they Know.

SO. Takumi(~22yo) volunteers to marry Souma(same age lmao) and they’re both about as happy about a political marriage as the next guy, but they’re willing to do this for their countries. They don’t expect anything out of each other because this is a political marriage and they’ve...never met before this whole engagement, so there’s Tons of tension and antagonism. But they’re still expected to put up a loving, affectionate front before everyone (except family) because ~*prophecy*~ so. congrats. this is their life now. yaaay.

Tons of heavy, heavy power play, ironic praises and completely unironic body worship (plus some priestly problems and awkward situations mixed in), BUT so as to not spoil anything bc i miiight turn this into a multichap fic in the future (idk tbh lmao) this is the basic outline !! ive been wanting to write a fake married/dating trope or royalty AU for the Longest time now and this is like. THE BEST OF BOTH WORLDS. hooray !!

(although i do have another prince/witch AU i want to write before this one and then there’s another prince/rogue AU i have i mind and thEN there’s mafia AU and muted screaming. basically i create AUs faster than i write/draw them, congrats 2 me, how am i living,)

Lobsang:

• Unlike Toph,she's actually feminine. Since she's a airbender she loves wearing flowy dresses (with pants) and having her long hair out or in a ponytail.

• Learned to make flower crowns from her dad.

• In non-combative ways,she uses ballet to airbend and make flower petals float around her.

• Lil Lobsang would often skip and levitate off the ground for a few seconds.

• Aang told her to uncover her eye (she can't see well in the other one) to reveal a glider. Her a staff with the flying boar-pig wings stitched on the green wings.

"Well? What do you think?"Aang eagerly asked as his daughter stared wide eyed at her present.

Lobsang took the glider and admired it for a good minute. She took a deep breath then screamed.

"Papa,I can't believe you made me this! My very own?! I can't wait to show everyone and fly around and do tricks and-!"

Aang chuckled."Hmmm...I don't know. I don't think you like it that much."He teased.

•Yangchen likes to mess with her sister because she acts so prim and proper and pushing her buttons is just funny for her.

• She had stack a few stones on top of each other in the garden.

"Auntie Katara! Look at me!" The 8 year old said,tugging on her blue robes.

"Alright,sweetie! I'm looking! "Katara giggled.

Her smile slowly turning into a grimace as Yangchen hacked up a big wad of salvia that dangled from from her bottom lip.

"Aw man...! It was cooler when my mom did it. She spit and knocked over a empty bottle!" She gushed with a proud grin,wiping the spit with the back of her hand then on her pants.

"Uh,I'm sure it is,dear!"Katara replied with a small smile,patting her on her head.

• Toph visited Zuko once and were just chatting.

"Toph,get your feet off the table D:<"

"You may be Fire Lord and all but you don't tell me what yo do."

Toph leaned back and put her hands behind her head.

Yangchen giggled. "Yeah! You don't tell us what to do!"she agreed,copying her mother.

Toph grinned and ruffled her kids hair.

• Is the more quiet and shy one in the family.

• Toph and Aang give each other morning kisses and say how gross it after the kids collective "Ew!"s

• He had a crush on Kya when he was 8 or 7 (the twins are 2 months older than him)

•He's blind like Toph so you'll usually see the little guy holding onto his parents or his sister's hand.

!!! omg thank u Ceru! u might be one of my favorite mutuals <33 (putting this under a read more just so I can speak at lengths about each individual character)

Why I like Kagami: this is where I sarcastically ask “why DON’T i like him” but that’s literally the next question so; he’s everything i want to be and more. He has the determination and the willpower to make his own dreams come true, he’s gay as shit, he’s tall and buff and well-adjusted, mature enough to live on his own at an annoyingly young age, he’s funny and dumb and a total himbo as well as an excellent advisor bc of how grounded he is.

Why I don’t: I’m... not really good with explosive people. Violent men with loud voices especially scare me, and I’d think I’d flinch around him a lot and that would make me rlly anxious.

Favorite episode: it’s a toss-up between the Seirin fam visiting his place for the first time (is it where Kuroko confesses his love to him and then passes out in his arms? idk), and the onsen episode. I also loved all his plays against Kise and Aomine. AND the training camp w him running a lot in the sand.

Favorite season/movie: season 2 probably because he’s not a jerk anymore, but he’s still on his way to shed off any asshole behavior stuck to him. And I actually liked Last Game?

Favorite line: “There’s no such thing as useless effort.” and “This is our drama and we write the plot.” because he’s so ridiculous.

Favorite outfit: all of his casual fits... comfy but manly is my Jam

OTP: AoKaga....they’re truly soulmates, star-crossed lovers, canonically brought together by fate.

Brotp/otp no. 2: KagaKuro, I love them

Head Canon: I have several collections because I think too much about this boy, but here’s something I think about his family: he doesn’t know what happened to his mom. He never asked, because it wasn’t relevant, and he didn’t want to inconvenience his dad by questioning him. Occasionally, as a kid he felt like he was missing out on something (seeing other kids with their moms, feeling like they’re being treated with much more gentle care because they have moms), but as he grew older he realized that nurturing behavior shouldn’t have been limited to only a mother, and that he was just straight up neglected without any regards to missing a parent in his life.

Unpopular opinion: I never realized this was an unpopular opinion but I’m glad he went back to America at the end of Last Game. Obviously, it’s sad that he had to separate from the others, but I felt like Japanese basketball has always been just a stepping point to him, and now that he’d beat the best of them, it was time to move on. And it also warms my heart that him getting scouted in the US gave Aomine hope to aim big, too. I felt like both of them would’ve felt trapped in Japan with their skill sets.

A wish: I want him to be happy and gay and to confront Himuro and tell him how hurt he was by how he treated him and probably do the same to his dad too

An oh-god-please-dont-ever-happen: ....whatever I’d say Shinsun has probably written it/will write it, but I don’t want him to forget about the GoM just because he becomes a world-famous athlete.

My nickname for them: not mine (it’s Sypha’s) but “Kags”, Kagami, Tigerboy, Kagababe, Baby

Why I like Momoi: she is SO nurturing and sweet and she cares so much about her boys!! I’m sorry it always turns into “how they remind me of myself” but actually I get feeling like a background character and being the moral/emotional/physical support of those who are more talented or in any way better than you. I feel a strange kind of kinship with her and also,,, feminine girls make my heart stop, and it doesn’t get more feminine than Momoi. Added: Aomine aside, the Touou team wouldn’t worth shit without her skills tbh, and she’s not in any way less than the GoM. Also, I appreciate her being the one person to try to keep their friend group together.

Why I don’t: Analytical People Scare me like!! how do u know stuff people are Unknowable!! I usually am also irked by her pointing out Riko’s breast size but I can just pretend that’s in a gay way (maybe Momoi likes girls with small boobs and she’s just bad at flirting) (also I don’t exactly liked her calling Aomine a “ganguro” but I have too little knowledge on the use of this word to say exactly why)

Favorite episode (scene if movie): uh the one where Aomine made her cry? It really came through how much love she actually has for her friends at that one.

Favorite season/movie: she was great in all of them!!

Favorite line: I can’t remember the exact quote and Google isn’t really helpful either but the one where she made Kuroko promise they’ll always play together or something? Or that they’re gonna beat Aomine?? idk?

Favorite outfit: I like all of them but mostly I just appreciate her wearing so many hoodies, she looks so cute in them

OTP / Brotp: it’s both AoMomo. I feel like the have the most special and strongest bond in the entire series.

Head Canon: She’s never been shown to do, but I feel like she wears Aomine’s clothes a Lot. Also, they definitely have sleepovers To This Day.

Unpopular opinion: Momoi is good at basketball and she loves playing!!! But try being successful in it when ur opponents are Giants and Way More Buff than you are

A wish: I wish people appreciated her more!! Both in fandom and in canon. She’s an amazing person and she has her own skills and strengths that are rarely explored or even mentioned anywhere.

Why I like Alex: yet again another woman with an extensive skill set. I love her persistence and again I appreciate getting disillusioned and finding your way back to the thing you love. Also it’s just sweet that she did that by teaching (again, something I can relate to)

Why I don’t: the whole “kissing children” thing rubbed me the wrong way but again, just like Momoi’s obsession with comparing breast sizes, it’s just bad/sexist writing from Fujimaki probably

Favorite episode (scene if movie): adshg any and all where she expressed that Himuro and Kagami are equally important to her <33 that shit makes my heart burst

Favorite season/movie: she only appears towards the end of s2 and in s3 so... I guess s3?

Favorite line: its so Bad that u literally can’t find the iconic quotes of these iconic ladies anywhere but... her story on finding her passion again through teaching kids, and anytime she mentions her fondness of Kagami and Himuro.

Favorite outfit: her iconic olive green coat with the short red shorts... wtf was that I loved it.

OTP: she doesn’t really interact with people her age but I’ve heard she’s shipped with Masako Araki and I’ve seen some seriously good fanarts and like... Yes Good I’d Love To See It

Brotp: I feel like her and Himuro would be that sassy pair that Kagami tries and fails to contain and they get into all sorts of weird, absurd situations asdjs what I’m trying to say is Kagami has to bail them out of jail from time to time

Head Canon: fck me if I’m wrong but she’s the lesbian single mom of the two gay kids she reluctantly adopted from the streets

Unpopular opinion: it’s more like another headcanon, but she can dunk and she taught Kagami how to do it.

A wish: I’d love her to coach the Seirin fam more!! Pls let her be part of her children’s lives (she could also judge streetball games between the goms it would be fun)

Why I like Himuro: em dash Asdgsdj I’m joking, I’m becoming more and more fond of the boy. Once I realized that he shouldn’t have been the “bigger person” in that situation and one year doesn’t really mean much when you’re that young and that hurt, I realized he’s actually a good and hard-working kid and I’m sorry for giving him so much shade. Also I really like his snark and sass, but that might not even be canon at this point tbh

Why I don’t: I’m still sort of irked by him beating down on Kagami because he was envious/mad, but I realized the aspect of that situation that Really got to me was how devoted Kagami still was to him after all that. That devotion was what felt toxic, nothing that Himuro actually did to him.

Favorite episode (scene if movie): the time they met up w Kagami just to exchange a dramatic socially distancing bro fist and a few encouraging words.... gays be Like That

Favorite season/movie: I really didn’t mind s3 Himuro

Favorite line: apparently he’s said some iconic stuff that I don’t remember (and my sources don’t seem really legit) but I’m gonna say “let’s see you become number 1, bro” because again, that’s just so ridiculous and endearing. On one hand he really went from loathing Kagami to rooting for him and wanting him to reach his full potential and on the other, honey ur  like 17 stop speaking like That

Oh I guess I should've asked what paints you were using lol. It looks like watercolor? That's what I would assume. You can't be super controlling with watercolor (Which is why I switched to acrylics) so id say go with what feels natural with the piece. (Btw, it still is a lot better than what I could ever do) - S

Asdfh that's the thing it's gouache

I was TRYING to watercolor with gouache because you CAN do that, but I think my lack of experience with gouache was mostly the reason I was struggling with saturation and opacity. I'm usually really good with watercolor, so I figured, I can do this

Anyway, I will say that I really like how smooth gouache is, but I don't think I was using the right medium for that piece specifically, given my expectations

So I reached 50 posts on this blog and I have 12 followers!! ( asdfh!!) AND it’s the New Year so I thought it’s be a good time to make this post!

I started this blog originally for my Inktober stuff and it’s slowly evolved. Honestly...I’ve always been a person that hates posting my stuff online because of my anxiety and fear that I’m not good enough. Plus putting your work out there can be reaaaally intimidating, so this blog was sort of an experiment for me to overcome those fears and keep progress of my work. And to be honest I wasn’t expecting such a warm reception!

Really, 12 followers is a big deal to me!! And every note, ask or request I’ve gotten swells my heart and encourages me to get even better. So I really want to thank firstly my followers, and also my usuals that are always liking and reblogging my stuff ( I see you guysss too 👀 ) and also people that occasionally send me asks and encourage my creative process, thank you so much for the support and love. 1) How old were you when you first starting writing fan-fiction?

Around 13 or 14 I guess

2) Do you prefer writing OC’s or reader inserts? Explain your answer.

I don't think I prefer any of it, I really like coming up with OC's for my very own stories but relating to fanfiction I prefer reader inserts simply because it makes the story so much more relatable for the people reading it.

5) When is your preferred time to write?

I honestly write whenever I have time, which is mostly in the afternoon or evening, sometimes in the middle of the night. 

7) In your Paper Walls Series, what’s your favorite scene that you wrote?

Oh god I think my favourite scene really was the stabbing scene it was so dramatic hah!

9) Who is your favorite character to write for? Why?

Bucky. He's a deep and strong character and I think you can go in every possible direction with him, you could go full-on teeth-rotting fluff but also darkness and angst and violence. Like, Steve for example is the good guy through and though, I think it's very hard writing him any different than to what he's like in the movies, but Bucky's very open for interpretation if that makes sense. Also, he's outrageously handsome and I love myself a guy with rough edges haha.

11) How did you come up with the title for the Paper Walls Series?

I wrote the first part, where I described the walls (which the story basically is all about) as being as thin as paper and boom there was the name.

12) How did you come up with the idea for Paper Walls Series?

I read a prompt somewhere about neighbours with showers on opposite sides of a wall, singing duets because the walls are so thin and I kinda transformed that into said wall separating bedrooms and Bucky's nightmares being the thing everyone gets to hear.

13) Do you have any abandoned WIP’s? What made you abandon them?

THOUSANDS OMG with most of them I just got stuck or I can't find the motivation to complete them for whatever reason Idk dude I'm the worst I gotta finish them at some point but I just keep starting new stories instead.

14) Are there any stories that you’ve written that you’d really love to do a sequel to?

I actually thought a lot about a sequel for Paper Walls to kinda show their life together but that would just be plotless fluff because I can't let go of the story and I think stopping where it did was the best for the story instead of dragging it unnecessary long.

16) Tell me about another writer(s) who you admire? What is it about them that you admire?

@samingtonwilson all along!!! I fucking love and admire her style of writing and I hope I'll reach her level one day. Her characters are on point and everything she writes is so real and just pure gold I can't even describe it.

17) Do you have a story that you look back on and cringe when you reread it?

Crazed Minds - I think I overdid the angst asdfh it's terrible

18) Do you prefer listening to music when you’re writing or do you need silence?

I need utter silence oh my god how can people write with music??

No, but I almost(!) did at the endings of Paper Walls and Five And a Half

20) Which part of your Paper Walls Series was the hardest to write?

Honestly that stupid make-out nonsense with that Chad guy - it was so hard to write ... probably because I just wanted to get it over with and get to the interesting part lol.

21) Do you make a general outline for your stories or do you just go with the flow?

I make an outline for series but I usually go with the flow when writing oneshots

23) Do you have a story that you feel doesn’t get as much love as you’d like?

Valentine's Spirit!!!!!! It's a Jim Kirk x reader and I fucking loved it when I posted it I was so happy how it turned out and so happy how the characters turned out but it ended up getting like 50 notes lol

26) What’s the biggest compliment you’ve gotten?

I swoon every time someone tells me the characterization of the people I write about is good because ... I don't even know why that's just a huge compliment.

27) What’s the harshest criticism you’ve gotten?

I didn't really get criticism yet tbh

28) Do you share your story ideas with anyone else or do you keep them close to your chest?

Close to my chest, very close, I swallow them.

When I write I get really excited about someone reading it and then I want to get it online as quickly as possible to see people's reactions.

It's really hard to decide between angst and fluff but I'd probably go with fluff ... It's just warm and fluffy and makes you feel good hah. BUT ANGST MAN idfk I'll just take both angst and fluff since I can't decide.

TOH-- willow and bosch like its one thing to have rivals to lovers but bosch (who i dont like anyways) is just. idk i dont wanna say irredeemable i just dont want her w willow....

DT/DWD--any ships with jim really gfjdksjf he’s a stinky old man

TMNT (in general)-- really anything with april bc she’s always either older than them or treated as their family yet it gets pushed a lot *cough* tmnt 2012 *cough*

Oh man, honestly Adanna could fill a book with the reasons she loves Erik (but she’s a bit too prideful for that), but I guess the reason she loves him most?

He’s so gosh dang caring. For her and his brothers.

The entire time the guys stay at the mansion and she gets to know them all, she finds herself being comfortable with him in a way that she never expected. He’s so attentive to her that very quickly he’s able to read her almost as fast as Damien can.

Uncomfortable? Immediately removes her from the situation. Dissociating? Gently tries to bring her back to reality. Panic attack? Soft words and gentle touches, calming her down but being absolutely careful not to worsen the situation. And he respects her need to keep those things secret and private, and doesn’t press the issue unless she endangers herself.

And honestly? His caring-ness is also something that bothers her, because while it’s clear that he loves her dearly, it’s obvious that he thinks so lowly of himself and so highly of her.

And that bothers her.

When their relationship finally starts a few weeks after Diana leaves (because I love me some slow burn with a side of heart-felt confessions), the two of them take some time to really address what they actually are. And Adanna immediately shuts down his ideas of ‘Mistress and Servant’ that he’s been carrying around since he started living here. She wants to make sure he knows that they’re equals, and their relationship can’t be just him giving and her taking. Despite his flirty demeanor it’s shown throughout that Erik honestly doesn’t think too highly of himself, and when he’s around Adanna he has this air of just...not deserving her, I guess?

There’s no hierarchy here, and he doesn’t have to live up to his mother’s expectations around her. No masks, no fake personas. They’re just themselves, and that’s what she likes most. They both have some deep rooted issues as a result of bad childhoods, and they’re working through that together.

Aaand that’s it I guess? idk I’m rambling.
