Report of 2 wounded from a shooting at a bus and vehicles on Route 55 between Ezon and Nebi Elias, near the Eliyahu crossing.  One shooter - active event, no more info.  A 19-year-old woman is seriously hurt and a man in his 50s is in moderate condition.

▪️IDF DEEP ATTACK ON HEZBOLLAH.. in the Bekaa valley and/or Baalbek, the major weapons warehouse area for Hezbollah of weapons coming from Iran via Syria.  At least 3 attacks.

▪️4 HERO SOLDIERS HAVE FALLEN.. in Gaza:

Amitai Even Shoshan, 20, of Moshav Azriel. He is the 19th graduate of Eli High School who has fallen in the war.  May his family and his school be comforted among the mourners of Zion and Jerusalem, and may G-d avenge his blood!

Ido Baruch, 21, of Tel Mond. May his family be comforted among the mourners of Zion and Jerusalem, and may G-d avenge his blood!

Reef Harush, 20, of Kibbutz Ramet. May his family be comforted among the mourners of Zion and Jerusalem, and may G-d avenge his blood!

The four were killed after gunmen who came out of a tunnel in a destroyed building opened fire at troops carrying out a patrol along the IDF’s logistics route in Khan Younis, according to an initial military probe. The operatives apparently managed to flee back into the tunnel.

Here’s a translation of an interview with Jimmy Pacheco, the Filipino caregiver who was among the first hostages released:

When they took me from the house, I didn��t expect for them to let me live. I witnessed how they killed the man I was taking care of. He was defenseless.

I could hear gunshots from the nearby houses and sent my wife a message, telling her to take good care of our kids. I told her, if you get money from this, keep it, use it for our children’s future.

They asked me if I was a soldier and held guns to my head. They fired automatic weapons so close to my head that there was buzzing in my ears like I was in an airplane.

They gave us pita to eat and that should last us the whole day. I didn’t eat it in one go, I’d save it and eat a little bit when my stomach started to hurt from hunger. The water was salty and I have kidney issues.

When you tell them you need to go to the toilet, they would give you a little toilet paper. I didn’t use it, I kept it in my pocket. This is food, I told myself. We were maybe forty meters underground and the walls were damp so I would dab the tissue against the cement wall until it got wet and then I’d eat it just so my stomach wouldn’t be empty. It’s water too.

They made us clean in the tunnels, we cleaned seven toilets.

I spent the first couple of weeks imprisoned. I had to go to the toilet in the same room. I had no choice—I was their prisoner. I kept asking myself, why did they take me here? My mind felt like it was going crazy. Why did they bring me here when I didn’t do anything wrong?

I got my strength from my children. They’re the reason I started eating toilet paper. I told myself it’s for my kids. I said to God, “I lost my father when I was 12. Don’t do this to my kids. Let me live. I’m willing to stay here for 10 years as long as you let me live.”

They told me to get my things. I had a plastic bag that contained a toothbrush, a pair of shorts and a shirt. They told me to get my mattress and pillow because I was being moved to another tunnel. Then they told us to throw away the mattress. They made us clean the tunnel. Then they said at 1 o’clock we’d start walking and we’d be exiting the tunnel. That’s when I started crying. When we left the tunnel and I saw the sun, I fell to my knees and thanked God. I thanked him for letting me see the sun again. I was able to breathe fresh air again.

Jimmy Pacheco was kidnapped from Kibbutz Nir Oz. He had been working there as a caregiver for Amitai Ben Zvi, 80. Ben Zvi was murdered on 10/7/23 by Hamas terrorists.

💕 tell us about one of your favorite characters and why you like them!

MAIKA HAS such a lovely pleasant voice!! i know she has a pretty heavy spanish accent but i think that adds to the appeal. i love love love using her she's so fun to work with i love making her roll her R's it's a very nice sound and i love just tuning her in general. i love her design too tbh even though her hair is weird to draw, i , really like her colors and her hair gradient?? and her outfit in general......

💢 what do you NOT like about your [special interest]? is there something you would want to change about it?

i really just wish there were more older vocaloids. no vocaloids with canon ages are over 30 (the oldest is tonio who is 27), having a wide variety of voices and characters is important and i think having older sounding voices like sachiko (who has no canon age but her voice provider is in her 60s i think) would be really beneficial for vocaloid as a whole. i think this applies to most other synths too but i dont know much about them. the exception is utau, that's the nice thing about it is since anyone can make an utau voicebank there are soooo many different characters, which! includes! older characters like macne papa :)

Do you know of any good K-Unit or a member of K-Unit adopts Alex fanfics? Or just are there for Alex in general? Or to tells Blunt to stop using Alex or something like that. I've been trying, and haven't been able to find a good one in a while, so I thought you might know of some.

Thanks for the ask! There’s the classics, of course, Hell is Other People by Amitai and Ask No Questions by Lupin Out. For a fic series that’s not on AO3 but I really enjoyed Control Of Chaos’ Safehouse Arc but all of their works in general would fit this pretty well.

For more recent fics (I know I’ve missed a lot because I don’t read much anymore) but Theres No Place Like Home is the current ongoing multichapter. Intruder by Greensight is a fun take and a bit of a role reversal especially compared to Control of Chaos’ work. For a darker one I recommend Academic by ChaosDragon.

Heya!! thanks for sending in a request!! My requests are usually always open unless I make a post updating it, so honestly it's absolutely fine!! This request was actually pretty fun to take on, and I had a lot of fun writing it since reader inserts aren't actually something I've written before. The fic will come in its own post, though.

As for recommendations for fanfics, I haven't actually read any Alex Rider x reader fics - at least, none recently. In fact, most of my Alex Rider fanfic reading is from back when I used to read a lot on Fanfiction.net, so apologies but my recommendations are all going to be there, haha. (I'll also only be recommending complete ones, lol.) I had to search through my bookmarks for these.
