Karlach/Wyll budding romance as a prompt for you?

“T’chaki!” Lae’zel threw her backpack. It landed right next to the fireplace, narrowly missing it. “If we keep on pandering to weaklings, we might as well surrender to the ghaik and be done with it.”

“Lae’zel, what happe-” Before Wyll could ask, another one landed right in his lap. He yelped in surprise, perhaps also in a bit of pain. The githyanki is not known for taking things lightly, throwing backpacks included, it seems.

“It was a perfectly valid concern on my part, I’ll have you know. We don’t need this much to carry around.”

Astarion saunters into the light of the fire, his demeanor unchanged from his usual self. Maybe a little wary of getting into the githyanki’s reach, but she obviously doesn’t deem him worthy of her attention right now. On the way to her tent, she runs her blade through a makeshift training dummy and leaves it there. 

“Besides, I am made for finer things than carrying around junk.” He meets Wyll’s unimpressed stare with a nonchalant shrug and he’s gone from view as well, light on his feet and unbothered.

“Bad night, soldier?”

“So much better now that you are here.” He places the backpack next to him with care and lets out a sigh. “They are good people. I wish life would remind them of this more often.”

Karlach sat down beside him, nudging Wyll with her shoulder. Her smile was, as always, nearly impossible to resist, he noted. 

“You’re too good. Don’t let them get you down, they could sometimes do with some righteous dressing-down. Pfft, fuck that, they even could use some ass-whooping if you want.”

Wyll took notice of how her crossed legs jumped uneasily, ready to spring her to her feet in a moment’s notice. How her hands tapped the dirt before her, fingers eager to grab something…anything. This close, he could clearly see the tension on her face. Her beautiful face, that in this moment he wished to see laughing, not wrought with worry.

“How about we forget about this,” Wyll stood up, and extended his hand to Karlach, “and do some sparring? I could shake that rust from my limbs and use some good company tonight.”

“Hell yeah!” She was up in a flash, towering over him enough for him to need to perk his head up. She withdrew her hand swiftly, leaving his to cool off in the evening air. “Shit, sorry, didn’t mean to.”

“I do not mind. I bear many scars, any you would give me I would wear with pride.”

“Careful soldier, you talk like that and a girl might get ideas.” She leaned in, but could not hold up the sultry voice. They both laughed, perhaps a bit embarrassed, or maybe because they felt it - that warm blossom in their chests.

And she was a sight to behold, the embodiment of joy and excitement, so easy to get lost in the moment and say all those lovely things that came to mind. And he saw it in her eyes as well, that lust for life, flesh bristling with contained desire. 

But he’ll wait. All good things are worth the wait, and to be done properly. Karlach deserves nothing less, and only the best from him.

hell yeah!!! prolly aliens a bit moreso than ghosts, bc i feel like there's gotta be more life that's evolved out there Somewhere with the universe being so incomprehensibly large, but i'll never say never to something like ghosts either haha

28. do you collect anything?

noooooot really?? 🤔 nothing like, in a way that's specifically for collection purposes, anyway 😂 i do have a lot of phases of getting hooked on certain lil things (enamel pins, slimes, etcetc) and so i wind up with a lot of them (tho i need to get rid of some slimes lmao, i've been thinking of seeing if a children's hospital would want any, or maybe my neighbor's kid). one thing i've always Wanted to collect tho is 3ds's!!!!!!! i just like the console a lot, it's prolly my most played handheld before the switch came along, and i love all the different versions of them 🥹 unfortunately they're expensive since they're not really being made anymore, esp some of the limited edition ones (cries in gorgeous fire emblem fates version. also constantly kicking myself that i sold my yveltal version 3ds way back when)

27 🤦‍♀️ yeah that whole "i never have open tabs ever" thing went out the window the longer i've been off my meds lmao. at least it's limited to my phone, i still never keep any open on my laptop

Takeout: when I used to watch SVU and they would eat Chinese takeout, I always *had* to get Chinese food. And I’m always kind of disappointed because on tv it’s always the white cartons with the red picture and places here in town don’t do that. They’re always plain white boxes.

Nightstand: my nightstand is clean. A friend (who happens to have the same job I do) and I had a discussion about how in crime scene/death investigation photos (when the person died in bed) , officers always get pictures of the nightstand and it’s always messy. So, yeah.

I need to clarify that when I say, "I can fix her," I mean "I would make her feel loved and happy and special," I do NOT mean, "I would make her stop Doing Crimes." Why would I want that. She did get a lot of truly excellent content in the show, but I do think they underutilized her in the last season, unfortunately. DEFINITELY underappreciated by the fandom. And the "crack my spine" thing is probably not the most accurate way of phrasing my feelings, but it was the closest option to "I'd gladly let this character murder me." I'm not putting "pretty privilege" because while in my objectively correct opinion she IS the most beautiful woman of all time, this fact did not do her any favors in either canon or fandom. Also, lol at "probably a deep-seated reason," there are definitely many reasons and I know EXACTLY what they are. And although--given the feral (derogatory) nature of this fandom--I probably shouldn't discuss Cersei irl, I love this character SO MUCH that I just. Always do anyway. Literally I am incapable of shutting up about her.

(Sadly, I am in the middle of writing something that Puts Her In Situations. But it's not anything beyond what she already experiences in canon, and it'll all be okay in the end. And most importantly, I 100% know this is not fair, so she gets to get away with murder. As a treat 🥰)

.....I just realized that the "need them that is concerning..." square might have been intended as like. A sexual thing. When I had interpreted it as "I need to see this character on my screen as often as possible." I am too lazy to edit the bingo board and reupload the picture, so just know that I meant the second thing. 😅

So THIS time, when I say "I can fix them," I mean, "She's my bestie and younger sister, and I'd make her go to therapy." Why does the "projection" space have a circle on it? Don't worry about it. I don't think I'd put her at "white noise" level because that is a VERY specific character tier for me, but I need. I! NEED! Her to be okay. EVERYONE IS SO MEAN TO HER EVEN THE GUY WHO CREATED HER CHARACTER. There is so much there!!! The way she never processed her trauma! The way she deconstructs the idea of obsessive devotion/the manic pixie dream girl! How a retributive MURDER that wasn't even about her at all is the only thing she has ever registered as a Positive Act! The way that these things coalesce into a dissatisfaction with life so great that (barring one specific, immovable goal) no kind of success or admiration is ever enough!!! She just wants to be loved!!!!! One of the most viscerally universal human emotions!!!!!!!!!!! Like, it was very obvious that Ohba didn't care about her at all, but guess what!!!! He accidentally created a really interesting and complicated character anyway!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm totally FINE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (For more thoughts, go here.)

"Probably a deep-seated reason" once again, lmao, like I don't know exactly what the reason is. (The way this has been true of all three characters.........) PEOPLE DON'T LOVE HIM ENOUGH. HE'S THE BEST LITTLE GUY, BUT MOST OF THE TAKES ARE SO BAD AND UNFAIR. WHY DON'T PEOPLE GET IT???!!?? (Okay, there's definitely a general idea/theory regarding why. As You Know.) Not really sure what I mean by "I can fix them" here, but there isn't a "I want to make sure they have support and are okay at all times" square, so I think this is close enough.

SO many times I have said, literally out loud, "He's just like me for real." So um. There's that. And Near might not be a war criminal/mass murderer/etc., but I would still like to emphasize that he has never done anything wrong ever in his entire life. :)

Hi, Heather!! I'm sorry you had to work today on top of everything else 😖. But a sweet, simple gif idea that will hopefully help is a side by side of TK playing with Carlos' ear during the 3x18 proposal scene, and TK quickly doing it again in 5x05 at about 41:30, on Hulu at least. 5. Who is the cheesier one of the two? mr wille "cheese" eriksson who, as we all know, leaves poetry excerpts that remind him of simon on sticky notes on simon's pillow and in his lunch and on the bathroom mirror and on the fridge door too sometimes (when they're out of sticky notes he texts him). simon keeps all of them though, which doesn't make him a winner here but a worthy competitor nonetheless.

24. Sleeping/cuddling positions? (Big spoon, little spoon, etc.)? i feel like wille's quality of sleep improves when he's hugging something or someone, so as long as he's got his arms around simon in some way or another he's good. his favorite is when they're lying on the couch, wille stretched out between simon's legs with his head on simon's chest, so simon can play with his hair while they watch tv. simon always ends up starfishing on his stomach while he sleeps so no matter how they go to sleep, he'll mostly wake up with an arm on wille's chest, his head on wille's shoulder and a leg hiked up high on top of wille's.

hello friend! 😄 thank you so much for the ask 💜 oh lord, let me see...

I think my favorite thing about their relationship (if we can even call it that) is that they laugh together a lot.

Even if Isabel is a bit closed off in the beginning (and understandably so), having just lost her team, treading on unknown territory, meeting new people, trying to help everybody at once, Roger's laid-back and chill demeanor totally disarms her.

Being an outsider himself, the helicopter pilot knows exactly how to approach her to make her feel welcome. Showing her around Prosperity, introducing her to the other residents, sharing valuable information and, you guessed it, cracking jokes.

Roger's a firm believer that laughter is pure medicine and also the key to a woman's heart. Soon, they start sharing inside jokes. They become very close friends. But it isn't until one particular evening, when he makes her cry laugh at something stupid that he says, that she realizes she likes him a lot more that she had planned.

1) Au is set on some planet that’s not earth.. lets just say mars?

2) They don’t actually! I didn’t write a lot on the lore, i was planning for them to live in some apartment in Hiddensville (name of alien city).

3) The “lair” or more like apartment is kinda crappy and hidden. Splinter and Draxum chose this spot for a reason. Draxum does have some underground lab where they do most of their training.

4) They have money from bounties (they kill kraang). Um would this be like cowboy bebop. I have not watched that at all i probably should.

5) no mutagen is involved. Draxum created the 4 with his dna and splinter or smthn like that. They were born as aliens and for the purpose for fighting.

6) Havent though of that yet! I would need to make a design for big mama.

10) yes! The kraang are kinda like a side enemy though, they are killed for money like pests in Hiddensville.

This is my first time actually interacting with a content creator (???) - I always just lurk - but I absolutely love this AU!

I was big into TMNT 2k3 12-ish years ago, and loved Bishop as a villian and even moreso as a "redeemed" "good guy", and it was super dissapointing back then how minor he was back then in fandom (also FF in general, which I though was a fun and interesting direction for the series). Rewatching the series recently brought all the nostalgia back, though this time when I look online theres actually fan content of Bishop! President Bishop!! In the future!!!

I used to daydream a lot about further plotlines in the story with my own OC mixed in - one of those being that Bishop adopts the Dark Turtles, as some kind of ironic mirror to his relationship with the original turtles. So its crazy thinking about that ages ago, then seeing someone else bring it to life completely independently. I'm loving how its being presented in your fic so far.

Sorry I don't really have a question for you guys, if that's what I'm supposed to do here. Just excited to see how the story will develop - keep up the good work!

Having been a fan back in the day when the show was airing, too, totally felt, it's surprising Bishop was so under-represented in fanworks (although back then I admittedly didn't pay much attention to him, too, so I suppose I can't say much loL.) What I CAN say is that the spite FF was met with was a little overblown, if understandable. It's great to see people giving it another chance these days.

Res is a nerdy electrician and spends most of her time repairing other people’s messes, painting Warhammer figurines in her basement and playing video games. She also likes rules and likes to follow them even more. She’s the type of person who genuinely raises her finger at someone and goes “well, actually-“. When she dyed her hair pink as a 29 year old she thought that’s the most rebellious act she ever did in her life. As much as she likes to be the perfect citizens who doesn’t stand out, she does have a rather idealistic and soft core. Once she became the captain of the Unreliable and gained the influence and knowledge that followed, she started to act against those rules and regulations she used to follow so well. But more like your old math teacher would go about it, and not some rebel punk a la Johnny Silverhand :D
