For your question, we'll go with Marin and Nat!

Marin isn't very good at gift-giving, and it stresses them out a lot, especially since I feel like Nat would be very good at it. They want to give her the perfect gift, but they never know what. Is there a price limit? How much is too much? They want to give her everything she could ever want! But that's a little hard when all you don't even make enough for a decent car, lol. What do you buy for a vampire who's been alive for three centuries, earns a wage that's more than decent, and already has a warehouse full to the brim with antiques she's been collecting for lifetimes?

It's something that's been on their mind for a long, long time. And then they get an idea.

Instead of finding something, wrapping it up, and hoping for the best, they take her out on a date to one of the bookstores in town. One that has a rare book room. And then they set her loose.

It's a win-win: Nat gets to explore shelves hard-to-find books--first editions, autographed copies, and more. Now Marin doesn't have to stress over finding her the wrong thing! (Not that that would be possible, if you asked Nat. She would love whatever they got.)

Nat, on the other hand, spends hours before the holiday, scouring through every single little art gallery Wayhaven has to offer. And since it's a coastal town, I imagine it would have a lot. Ava, of course, is her driver companion, going with her through every gallery in the area. Maybe even in the next town over. (She has to beg Ava for that, but it isn't very hard to win her over.) They don't come home until she finds a seascape that is just right. She ties a red bow around it and hides it in her closet until February 14th, lol.

I’ve always been very interested in flower symbolism—maybe it’s in my blood lol 😅 I think I’ve mentioned before that my family’s business is a florist shop and greenhouses. (I’ve never worked there though). I’ll admit that I’m not the best at gardening myself though I do have 3 pet cacti named Rantaro, Harley, and Kel and they’re doing great! 😁😂 I love flowers a lot though and try to incorporate them into a lot of my stories. I think it’s one of my biggest go to motifs besides inclement weather and brothers getting along. 😊

I'm EXTREMELY late and I'm so sorry!!!! Thank you so much for wanting to know more about a favorite sim of mine, because I adore so many of yours! (You killed the BHMCAS challenge!!!!!)

Since I just did Krystle Dyson, let's give her little sister, Tiffani Dyson, some shine (we're playing catchup in the gameplay updates, I promise I'm not ignoring her lol)!

(1) I have no reason to believe this, but I feel like she and her sister have Jamaican (Sulanian by default lol) roots. I always make them cook island inspired dishes (lmboo Grannies Cookbook never should've given me rice and peas with plantain & oxtail AND beef patty with coco bread, pls.)! Since they would've been babies at the time their family would've been cooking like this, their friend Tamara Franklin, who I also assume is Jamaican lmbo, taught them!

(2) Tiffani was supposed to be giving Black Girl Luxury/Soft Girl, before we even had a name for it. I wanted her to enjoy her life and her sought-after riches--mainly in contrast to her more tightly-wound older sister. She could have fun!!

(3) She enjoys getting her sister riled up, by just living her life! She lets her calm down soon after, but she knows by this point that Krystle's love is truly unconditional for her. She can do no wrong in her eyes! Still, they KEEP a "Smooth Apology" as a suggested point of conversation between them (LMBO)!

(4) Tiffani started off with the Party-Animal aspiration, which soon turned into the Serial Romantic aspiration, which soon turned into her struggling to be sat down by multiple pregnancies (lolll)!

(5) Tiffani Dyson has a personal stylist, who yall know as Krystle Dyson. This is how Krystle got put on in the first place, as a celebrity stylist and simtuber. To this day, I like to think her looks are carefully curated by her sister, even as her sole client!

✨ What is the Next Big Plot Step™️ you are most excited to get to for Maiden?✨

You know what? I'm really excited to launch into the Ironborn Rebellion in Arc 2 that I hinted at here. There are hints of what's to come in this week's chapter, and it's a plot point that I've done all my own that I'm just really excited about. Aegon's going into battle, he's going to have to deal with Hot Daddy Nemesis Elmo Tully and make friends with Cregan Stark. It's one of the earliest ideas I came up with and I'm so excited to finally get there.

What me and my bf do is make wishlists with gifts we'd like to get, usually books, and we update them and send them to each for each occasion- birthday, Christmas, Valentine's, anniversary, etc. If you put a lot of things on it and a month or two in advance, by the time you receive the gift, it's a surprise 😀

how does Orin cope with the other Chosens prefering Durge over her? and barely hiding it?

Terribly! It upsets her a great deal and she often takes it out in the form of insanity on the poor citizens of Baldur's Gate. She pretends like it doesn't bother her but her slaughter becomes less artistic and more brutal. Though, her kills are always brutal there is usually an art to it.

She also tends to threaten the other Chosen which doesn't always go over well but she thinks if she were to kill one of them, they will suddenly start loving and admiring her more. Obviously, this does not work, but she tries.

Hello hello! Just stopping by to hear a little about whichever WIP(s) you want to share about! What do you hope readers pick up on from your WIP? What do you hope is their favorite aspect of it?

I'm going to use the next couple books in this series to answer this question:

There are an *unbelievable* amount of easter eggs and foreshadowing peppered into this series. Like it took me genuinely longer to arrange how all of that went than it did to plan the actual plot. I hope people pick up on that and find it to be as interesting and cool as I do! (There's also an ARG element but that will be harder to pick up on immediately) This series is meant to build, and it ends up being quite something! Vampires and werewolves are only the beginning!

My favorite aspect thus far of the second book is the world building! I get to show off quite a lot more of what's going on in the larger picture of this story and I'm thrilled! Carpe Noctem dips its toes into the supernatural water, but its sequel dives right on in.

Ahhh thank you for sending this in and indulging me in this Talk Shop Tuesday situation!! (Can I make that officially a thing? I want to make it officially a thing!)

But yes!! Okay Infection Verse Gatty as parents!

Fictional!George is the fun parents and Fictional!Matty is the strict one - he is also super nervous and terrified about everything and can be a little helicopter-y until Fictional!George reels him in. He's always like "WTF how are you so calm right now?!" and Fictional!George is like "umm I've been in love with your dumb ass for over twenty years at this point. I'm used to it."

Fictional!Matty is a very involved parent - he's at every school event and activity he can possibly be at, he volunteers at school and in the classroom, he is determined to make sure Ava never feels like a burden to his parents the way he did and he loves her so, so much. Some of the other parents are a little taken aback by him, they obviously know *who* he is and were NOT expecting him to be so hands on. (You better believe Fictional!Matty is making cookies for the bake sale and of course he's willing to drive the girls to football/soccer practice Brenda... he's also not above making a donation to the underfunded school programs, anonymously of course.) Fictional!George is also at every event and activity, but leaves most of the volunteering to Fictional!Matty- he is however the designated homework parent.

Ava physically looks a lot like Fictional!Matty, dark curly hair, dark eyes, petite, however even though she is not biologically his, she has Fictional!George's personality. Very caring and can be quiet, and does have an explosive temper that sometimes makes an appearance. To the dismay of both of her parents, (not that they would ever let her know that!) she has absolutely no interest in music whatsoever. Ava is a sports girlie through and through. Which, paired with Fictional!Matty's genetics means she is a bit accident prone, at least in her youth, and Fictional!Matty gets to spend more time than he ever expected in the A&E waiting room- not as a patient this time but a very freaked out father who is going to ask the doctor thirty times if she is sure that doesn't need stitches while Ava and Fictional!George try not to laugh. They continue to to be close with Fictional!Matty's family - Ava loves her Uncle Louis, Fictional!George's family is another story... maybe another fic?

With Signe, it's all about practicality... to a certain point! In the beginning of her journey, she opts for simple clothing that protects her as much as possible, but also lets her move around freely. In her line of work, she needs to move and swing around on ropes from ship to ship and to do a lot of sword combat whenever the crew are boarding a ship or plundering. Also, she spent most of her early pirating days in Hammerfell, and I think the climate is a lot warmer, so lots of flowy pirate shirts! Now onto the more spoilery bit! When she eventually becomes Deathbrand, her clothes must fit with her act, that being the most fearsome and deadly pirate on Nirn, and so her aesthetics matter a lot! The Deathbrand mask is not as comfortable as she would have wished! Lots of black leathers and a fake beard and even platforms so that she can appear taller, also lots of eyeliner! Deathbrand needs to be the most intimidating man in existence, and comfort is sacrificed for that. However, she might get some help with illusion magic from a certain future crew member who is a brilliant mage!

Not really, she is not the most artistic person, but I guess crafting and creating Deathbrand and his act is some sort of art! Am I saying that Signe would have been a theatre kid if the circumstances were different? I don't know! But she is creative in making plans and finding creative ways to instill fear and fight the Thalmor!

28. how do they show that they care about someone? how do they express that they don't like someone?

Acts of service is her JAM. When she likes someone, she is willing to do anything for them. She is the ultimate ride or die. She would steal the moon, she would fight the sun and she would barter with the gods for the ones she loves. Also, she will try to do anything in her power to make the people she likes feel good. She is pretty blunt and never hides her feelings, if she doesn't like someone, she will snarl, give death stares and even threaten the ones she doesn't like. If she *really* doesn't like someone, she might even attack or challenge to a duel. Beware tho, she is excellent with one handed weapons!

how she felt about her reflection was like that of the volatility of a ticking bomb without a timer. there were days where she could simply not stand the idea of having a mirror anywhere near her & other days where she treated them for the harmless things they were, mere furniture, decor. as unpredictable as the weather, it was that dependent on how she felt, on how scared she was at what would be staring back at her or what awaited her & what she didn't want to see. today was odd, peculiar, she knew mirror-me was still out there somewhere, she felt it, but being proven correct was not what she had expected today.

' what do i know about love? ' she questioned with an unflinchingly blunt tone. ' i wasn't allowed to be myself for five hundred years, what do i know about love? ' she repeated. she wasn't allowed to be for five hundred years, less feel her emotions freely. what sort of ridiculous statement was that? why was she here again? should she be angry? should she be upset? neuvillette told her everything, mirror-me, is quite literally a part of her, furina made her & she merged with the oratrice. i should be mad, i should be mad, something in her chanted, but she couldn't. she wasn't mad, why can't she be mad? ' hah ' she laughed pitifully & shook her head. ' or should i say what do we know instead? ' who knew at this point right? she sure didn't. she was happy in all of this turbulent frustration she was feeling, she knew she was happy, she knew that feeling a bit too well taking into consideration how well she brought that emotion to life through her performance.

furina always longed to see her, she always wanted to see her the most. this part of her that she splintered off herself. she took with her things she seemed to have decided not worth keeping, at least not with the life she had in mind for herself, that life she always wanted & longed for the most. to be human right? that's what they/she wanted the most? to be human? furina knew not a thing of the first things needed to be that, hard as she tried. ' living as i am right now is hard enough ... i wouldn't be able to do right by anybody. ' it would not be fair. there was no room for love in anybody for her regardless.
