now onto your question! that's some good food for thought uhhhh i can try to estimate?? its been a while but i shld have some rough ideas abt each that i can share! the time frame each comic/panel takes is highly dependent on WHAT kind of comic it is. i hv two kinds of comics I usually do: 1) full-length, and 2) goofy/4koma.

i have a few full-length comics laying about in my archive, but my most recent one/best example is Ghosts which was around uh.... 7 pages excluding the bonus panels! in terms of the process, i usually divide it into 5 stages:

Drafting: this is either the fastest stage OR the slowest depending entirely whether i know what im doing LMAO,, if i have a set idea for what i want to happen, i might get drafts done in a few hours, but if i flounder, it can take a few days 🤔

Lineart: relatively simple enough once i hv the draft down, so id say anything ranging from an hour to half a day if theres nothing else going on irl

Block colouring (main actors): there are DEFINITELY easier and more professional ways to do this with mass-selection and the lasso fill/bucket tool, but idk how to do that on SAI (my art program) so i colour everything by hand HAHA which makes the process longer.... half a day to a day?

Shading: THE WORST!!! definintely my least favourite bc i find it tedious due to all the details/prettification of elves that i am legally obliged to pour into this stage 😭😭 as a result, it can take days!!!

Background + Lighting + Final Rendering: similar to the previous stage haha it just depends on how much effort i wanna put into the final product looking nice. roughly a few days? it kind of meshes with stage 4 anyways haha

just for fun, i hope this process gif for page 6 can illustrate that 👇

these are just rough estimates, bc all in all, the time it takes so finish a page is really dependent on how free I am hahaha. Also, I usually work on full-length comics like Ghost which have more than one page all at once, which means I drafted all 7 pages at once, then did the lineart for all 7 pages at once, coloured at once, shaded rendered bla bla bla 😚 iirc, i think it took me 11 days in total to finish Ghosts before the end of June last year!

For goofy/4-koma, its usually just one page with less detailed/more cartoonish/chibi character styles so it takes a day or two days at most! again, it all boils down to how free i am hehe

YEAH SORRY THIS ENDED UP BEING AN INFO DUMP but thank you so much again for asking and letting me ramble! <3 i ended up having a lot of fun looking back on my drafts n thinking back on my processes.... theres defininitely room for improvement, but thats another worry for another day heheh 😎

the two are now in the living room, sitting next to each other, wolfstar!daughters leg on harrys lap, messing with the hems of their clothes (like both of them fidgeting w each othrs clothes) while the marauders clean up in the kitchen. the two are exchanging flirty remarks with each other to see who would break first due to the alcohol giving the both of them a boost of confidence, remus comes in and was greeted by the scene. looking amused, he called in the others and james secretly took take a picture/video.

(this is poorly written and my brain is fried but i promise i'll redo it after getting some sleep. also eng isnt my first language so i apologize for any grammar mistakes. andd i love your writing so much, it gives me inspiration and i aspire to write as good as you.)

Interact! - add, like, Reblog(!), add tags, comment, Send asks, DM, search through your favorite tags to find more blogs

Unfollow, block, filter - I try to remember ~ I’m here for joy ~ not everything will be for you. Curate your experience.

Tag appropriately (including use of ‘anti’ tags) so others can filter their experience as well!

Be kind - the characters/ships/media may be fictional, but the people who care about them are real. Be courteous.

I don’t even know where to start. Actually taking the screenshots I try to make the certain vibes for my game, that really inspires me to take a pictures a certain way.... Sometimes you just have to stop yourself and enjoy of gameplay, without looking around at what others are doing.

Anyways biggest contributor to the quality of my screens is reshade, additionally I use the SRWE and I just mess around with the editing in photoshop settings until I find something i'm satisfied with. At the end I add a film dust overlay. Also lighting mods makes a huge difference. If you are interested in what I personally use check my resources page.

Jo has really been getting into my head this arc. Like little by little she’s been taking over my brain, and this post was the final nail in the coffin if you will, or peeling back that last layer of the onion to see what’s been festering beneath the surface of the flapper we met and fell in love with (which, also, the one Gio fell in love with too 👀).

This whole arc her life has been being stripped back, not only from the excitement and the glamor of the roaring 20s, but also her sense of self. The deceptive simplicity of their lives now (and the 1930s as a broader idea), has not revealed a better, calmer life for her the way it has for our other three characters.

She’s kind of known that from the beginning though, right? But she’s been putting all of her (considerable) strength into trying to make it work, because despite everything, Josephine wants to do what she perceives as the right thing. She wants to be loyal to her family and the people she loves, and she knows that she derives joy from their presence. Only this is fighting with her need to reestablish her sense of freedom and autonomy, in turn creating a toxic cocktail of love and guilt thats then amplifying the feeling of being trapped all the more. To the point that this is absolutely a woman who is very close to snapping…

But what does that breaking point look like if it happens where she is now? Feeling powerless and trapped with no one to blame for her misery other than herself? When she’s consumed by her past and her pain almost to a delirious degree?

Or what if she can find a way to “outsource” these feelings? To pin them on someone or something and justify her actions so that she doesn’t have to deal with the unpleasant knowledge that it’s coming from within? Welp. Welcome to arc two babes.

12. What's a headcanon you have for this character? All of the Amis keep some secrets from their parents but Joly just. Lies constantly. So So So Much Lying. He's honest about his illnesses and his problems with studies but everything else is just shameless prevarication all the way down. it's not that he thinks his folks would be mad about anything , although something ah hahaha yyyyeah they would , but mostly he just know they'd fuss. They'd Worry. They'd have So Much Advice. It's just so much easier to lie! He is not a writer but he's made up more stories than Prouvaire and with a more complex interconnected backstory. At this point his friends also enjoy hearing about what Hypothetical Joly is getting up to.

18. How about a relationship they have in canon with another character that you admire? I like most of the people he actually has a relationship with in canon so let's go with Mother Hucheloup: I think he's her favorite of the group, because he's mostly well behaved--for a Parisian college student-- and he Actually Pays For Things,but more than that he's just kind her favorite--not like a kid she might have had but like a favorite nephew, maybe, not that she's had a nephew, but she can guess. And his jokes make sense, not like those two friends of his. Hmph.

22. If you're a fic reader, what's something you like in fics when it comes to this character? Something you don't like? I like it when people make him cheerfully Very Weird :D He's Eccentric! quite a loaded term for his era! Nearly any Harmless Weirdness works for me with his character, especially if can be health focused-- syncing sleep to moon phases? Environmental Sound Sculpting? Dying his hair for Color Therapy? Sure! Anything! Although there's a special place in my heart for Joly looking utterly normal/bourgie and only upon entering conversation revealing that he's a complete freak (extremely affectionate <3)

lots, tbh, but as always with these questions i am BLANKING while reading it. 😅

okay. *long breaths* a couple i've talked about in the past: luke grabbing a new guitar pick while performing now or never is definitely always on my list. it's so tiny but adds a level of authenticity to luke as a character and his performance. very, very soft whenever i watch the show. also julie's "someone once told me you book gigs by doing" and luke's incredibly soft and small smile in return. 😍

additionally, the way luke's hand travels down julie's arm when they're finally able to touch. the way he lingers there and his thumb's stroking her wrist when his hand's finally made its way down...

the way they are not. letting. go. as soon as they are able to touch each other. ugh.

and another one because why not: the way luke's hiding from the crowd in front of the orpheum because to him, the connection he wants with everybody is about the music, on stage. it's not about him. it's about his words and his melodies reaching the people and making them feel something, making a difference. (and no, this is not contradicting the way he's angry at bobby for stealing his songs because wanting the credit, on a professional level, is still important to him. he just wants it to stay professional.)

"Not particularly. Copperhead shrugged. He wasn't cross about it - in fact, it was an interesting question to say the least and he had to admit, he had wondered once or twice what it would have been had he taken after a different sort of snake instead. Rattlesnakes were notorious of course, and there were other kinds that were just as dangerous too such as coral snakes, even if they didn't sound quite as snappy as his current moniker. "My only issue with being a rattlesnake, had I been born as one, would be that lovely little rattle they're oh so well-known for. If you've ever come across one, you know just how loud they can be. I couldn't imagine how much more difficult having one would make my job, more potent venom or not." Not that he'd never had a problem with his venom. It was potent enough, delivering paralysis within moments upon injecting it into another's bloodstream, rendering them incapacitated but conscious enough to hear, see and feel everything he was about to do to them...
