hi cora!! if you have any thoughts to add to karasu taking a liking to you wearing loafers, i would be most glad to hear them… 🫣 otherwise please feel free to ignore this ask!! wishing you a pleasant day, friend! 💖💖
context
hi lovely!! i just think karasu fits with a bit of a good girl reader sooo well (he can fit w other types of ppl too but that’s for another post)
i do think he has a little bit of a corruption situation too but not in the same way as oliver at all also he genuinely feels bad about it
like you’re ordering a drink from a cafe and the barista says something that makes you giggle and he’s like awh you’re so cute. and at the same time he’s also like god i wanna have her over the counter. and then he catches himself thinking it and he’s like what the fuck internally to himself LMAOO you’re just being you and his mind is spinning bc he wants to treat u right but also everything else
he’d treat you so right tho like i imagine your first time w him is like. he’s always checking your reactions the whole time. asking if you’re okay. making sure you’re not hurt and it’s not too much like he’s so considerate and careful because he wants this to be good for you i think bc of this it also takes a bit of getting to know each other before he starts to show how much of a freak he really is LMAO LIKE he’s a little afraid to show you. like he's tryna hide so bad that he wants to make you come over and over again in succession with just his mouth. not just because it might be intense for you but also because you'll see how insane it gets him when you look at him and how badly he needs it like he does not think he'll be able to hide how he feels once it's happening.
takes a little coaxing. like a session that’s more intense than usual and he’s apologizing and you have to tell him it’s okay and that he can keep going. or bringing it up to him upright that u wanna try something. then you start getting into like real kink sex with him with overstimulation and denial and bondage. he is KING of aftercare though like always making sure you’re okay, if you need anything, preparing water and food and creams to ease any pain or abrasions and helping you in the shower/bath
yeah veryyyy considerate man with his good girl just tryna do right by you

Regarding fictional disabilities: since there is no way to research a disability that doesn’t exist, how do you go about writing it in a way that makes it good rep and not offensive? For some context specific to my story, magic based abilities are biological rather than learnt and can manifest at any age, though if it develops at a young age it can cause development issues or brain injuries. One of my characters experienced this and developed a power that was psychological in nature, but because he was so young and couldn’t cope with the actual power, it left him with memory and intellectual problems. I was originally looking into stuff like dissociative amnesia or maybe even alzheimers but since the symptoms don’t fully line up I can’t just rely on it completely. My overall point here is that if resources for a fictional disability don’t exist, how can you write it while still taking into consideration real life disabilities? My bad if this is worded weirdly, I tried to keep it as specific as possible without delving into the full on details of the story and character. Have a nice day!:3
Hey!
First rule would be to not do harm. So not propagating misinformation or nonsense about the real life disabilities that the fictional one resembles (here that would probably be pediatric brain injury and/or intellectual disability). I don't think anyone expects realistic representation from a made up condition that they don't have but if you're deciding to associate it with one that's real, you have to be mindful of it. Even if it's a fictionalized version of a developmental disability you can't just go (example, not trying to insinuate you want to do that) "this character is an adult but is mentally 4 because of this fictional disorder that is made up and totally not close to anything IRL so it's ok to say", it would just look pretentious to pretend that it's something completely unrelated to a real disability if the character has symptoms that strongly align with one.
If your fictional condition is made of symptoms that exist in real life (but maybe not for the same reasons/don't really exist together) try to research them one by one. If he has memory problems, research how this specifically affects people with it - Alzheimer's comes with a myriad of other things that might give you an incorrect idea on how just that one symptom presents. For brain injuries, check what parts of the brain do what - damage to different parts might cause very different symptoms. You can read about this here in the context of strokes. Having an actual symptom list of things that your character has will be more helpful than thinking of it as "condition x if it was condition b/ condition c if it didn't have [major part]", even if that's how it's explained in-universe to help the other characters/readers get it - you as the author should know the ins and outs so that you can actually keep track of how your character functions and not have continuity errors.
It'd also be interesting to figure out what other symptoms this kind of scenario could cause that didn't happen to this one character (unless he's the only person this happened to). Developmental disability is a really big spectrum, and so are memory problems. I imagine that there would be other people more and less disabled than him who would have the same condition - this could affect how his is seen in-universe. Is he a very mild case, and not receiving the kind of support he needs because it's "not that bad"? Or is he on the severe end, and other people pity him and send condolences to his family? Think about the grander scheme of things.
I hope this helps,
mod Sasza

As someone who greatly appreciates your writing, I just have a few questions to ask. Your work always seems to have very complex plot points and holds a great amount of subtle foreshadowing. The execution and tying together of these narrative arcs imply an impressive amount of foresight so I can't even imagine how much planning it would require. Which is exactly my first question: how much of these storyline do you plan in advance? The way you write makes it seem like you have everything laid out in your head. Each arc seems to have a specific purpose in perpetuating the protagonists' development and no major plot point seems spontaneous or poorly planned.
When I ask these questions, I'm thinking specifically of TGSTLTH because with your original cases, each of them provide complex situations with realistic (and sufficiently unpredictable) solutions. The processes by which the cases are solved are equally believable and coherent. Even in the cases which you haven't made up - the ones from the anime - your extrapolations of them add an incredible level of depth (to the point where I can wholeheartedly say it improves them) in a way that makes it hard to believe it's not canon.
Once you've planned your chapters, how do you go about writing them? How do you perpetuate the plot points? And another thing I absolutely must ask is how do you achieve such a great dialogue-description ratio? Your chapter's are effortlessly long and extremely descriptive, but not to the point where the pacing feels slow or dragged out. The transitions between dialogue and description are seamless, and the speech always feels well placed and purposeful. Such a balance is something I've always struggled with in my writing so I'm keen to take any advice on board.
My final question is about word count. How the hell do you get it so damn long. That's the question. Forgive my laconism but the way you talk about accidentally reaching like 20k words in a chapter is literally baffling to me. I have to know how you do it  •_•
Hello! First I have to say, thank you so much for your long and thoughtful asks - I'm always so happy to recieve them, reading them is a pleasure. And I have to apologize because this answer is probably going to be useless!
Honestly, I wouldn't say that I plan match. I usually just have a couple of large ideas (in the case of TGSTLTH, these are mostly milestones from the anime) and a couple of smaller ones. Everything else comes when I'm writing, and that's one of the reasons why I love doing it so much. Things slip into their places automatically - I usually call it the magic of writing. It's like my mind knows where I'm going, but I do not, and I learn it very gradually, as more and more words are typed, uncovering more pieces.
As an example: I had an idea for a made-up case a few months back, and this is how it's described in my notes: "C and S have to allow themselves to be tortured, C plans, S snaps." Beyond this outline, I have no idea what I'm going to be writing about, but I know and anticipate the moment when I start typing and the ideas start being born, shaping a picture even I don't see right now.
From character development, most things I do plan are pretty basic. For example, in one episode Sebastian is weirdly cruel to Ciel but in the next one, he's suddenly almost nice. Something had to have happened between them, so I pick a potential idea and then the details add themselves.
I do have some minimal notes that I made when re-watching the anime. For example, about the tea-set Soma is going to break (I needed a story of Sebastian trying hard to find it) and about Ciel being drunk before the case with the ghosts in the castle (since Sebastian specifically doesn't allow him to drink there). Some of my other notes include: "13 birthday queen doesn’t interact because asks about christmas in 3.02," "discussion of why 19^00 circus 3.07", "BoC champagne tower bothers Ciel with what a good idea", etc. This helps include smaller details that I might have forgotten about if I hadn't made notes.
Most of this kind of planning also comes from re-watching the anime so many times that I largely know it by heart. I do a bit a more detailed planning right before writing a chapter: I settle on a vague scenario and describe some basic parts in one sentence. Then I follow this very loose outline and watch how it becomes detailed in the process of writing. For instance, the chapters about the teachers: all I knew before I started writing was that Ciel and Sebastian would have this game. I had no idea Ciel would pretend to be blind until the very second it happened or that he would make Sebastian lose his mind by pretending he's dying. It all clicked just at the right moment, like it usually happens. This magic of writing delights me.
As for dialogue-description ratio: I think I just use my preferences as a reader here, to be honest. I write something, then I re-read it and see how it feels. Sometimes I feel I overdid it, so I remove some bits. Or on the contrary, I feel like the scene is too hollow, so I add more descriptions/emotions to it. I also know that as a reader, I prefer it when writers focus on emotions, character development, and relationships first and foremost, so I do the same in my own works, paying only minimal attention to other details. I feel like 99% of scenes have to involve relationship dynamics even when it's a case investigation, so my writing reflects this preference.
And regarding the size of the chapters: oh, it's a curse because I keep misleading my readers! I always struggled with writing something short - my characters usually like to talk or suffer too much to describe it quickly, but it's still ridiculous. I think my long chapters come from the lack of proper planning. Like I said before, I just note down some basics. For example, about the scene in the next chapter: "Sebastian goes to talk to the demons, all threatening and possessive." I know this will happen, and I imagine it'll take me around 2K to describe, but in reality, when I start, it'll probably easily grow into 5K or so. Some demon might not want to talk right from the start or the other one might make Sebastian have some realization that he'll perplex himself over. If Sebastian ends up getting to Claude, then the size of this scene will increase even more, which will affect the entire chapter!
Sorry if this isn't much of an answer - I see writing as something deeply mysterious, and I'm just happy I get to experience the pleasure of doing it!

JUST ALWAYS.
Tumblr media
STARRING: zhong chenle and reader
GENRE: fluff; best friend!au
WARNINGS: lawbreaking; excessive mentions of teasing; though the rest is complete friendship goals
PLOT: trust your best friend to know every detail of your life, even that one embarrassing time when you blabbered about your idea of a perfect date. but also trust him to be the one to fulfill every wish you ever had, even ones you thought would never come true.
RUNNING TIME: 2.7k
DIRECTOR’S NOTE: putting out fluff before every fic i drop is just pure angst because it is coming and very soon...but enjoy this cute scenario as my parting gift for you all (even if there will be possibly be a few more fluff fics after this, though don’t take my word for it). also shoutout to @dvrlingrenjun for always reading through my fics at ungodly hours of the day.
Tumblr media
zhong chenle was your best friend since birth. you did everything together. there wasn’t a time when he wasn’t with you. you were the inseparable duo, the partners in crime, and one half of a whole. that was you and chenle. the best of friends, but not lovers like many assumed you to be. though that was never a problem, for it a topic of discussion that was never addressed, yet fully comprehensible to you both. it was a pure and friendly relationship, something that would sustain for years to come. he was there every step of the way and who says he wouldn't continue to be?
when you both were learning to ride bicycles, who was there? chenle. when you got your first tooth pulled, who was there? chenle. when you scraped your knee on the asphalt after running around the playground, who was there? chenle. for each and every memory.
he was always present, simply growing to be your best friend. sure you had others, consider the boys he befriended at the start of high school, but they didn’t mean nearly as much to you as he did.
you could tell him anything. do anything. there was no judgment, just absolute enjoyment. that’s the way it always went and it was why you knew whenever vacation rolled around for the two of you, it would always be the best time as long as you were with him. he planned new things every day, always making an effort and this time he said it was a surprise. nothing new, but you couldn’t help but be anxious at what he had planned.
so when he had picked you up from your house, several doors down from his own and drove to the outskirts of town, you knew something was up. he had parked at the entrance of a restricted zone and told you to follow him through the clearly broken metal fence. you had no choice but to do as he said, especially when you were losing the day fast. yet it wasn't as bad as you presumed it to be, for he led you to an expanse of a field littered with various types of flowers and plants and a very tall hill that could be seen clearer as you walked forward.
he ran straight towards the hill without glancing back to see where you were, too excited for his own good.
“come on!” he exclaimed, calling your name in the process. he was in a hurry for who knows what reason, but that didn’t stop him from making sure you were doing just fine on your own.
when he turned his body around he saw you were struggling to make your way up the steep hill after running to catch up to him. you were huffing and puffing every so often. your legs felt like jelly and you were not even halfway to your destination. it just proved how out of shape you were, well partially at least. why he decided it was a good idea to come here at nearly seven at night when the heat felt worse than it did during the day was beyond you, but it was one of the things you admire about him—your best friend since day one. he was always filled with unpredictable and undeniable fun, making your days brighter with just a grin along with his contagious laughter. you were grateful for him and his sense of adventure, but not right now when you felt you were going to collapse any second.
he rolled his eyes and muttered under his breath some phrase in mandarin before carefully going down the hill to where you suddenly stopped. one wrong move and he would tumble down the dewy grass so he had to be cautious. one of you had to make it out of this alive and you were hoping it was him considering you needed the most help.
he finally reached you after some delicate movements, where you stood relatively close to the start of the hill.
he chortled at you and your exasperated expression, one with your lips pursed together and your eyebrows furrowed. your skin was flushed from the heat and he could see some beads of sweat glistening on the top of your forehead as well as on your temples, just waiting to fall.
you weren’t kidding from being out of shape but it was mostly the humid heat emitting from the sun that was the cause.
he clicked his tongue and shook his head then proceeded to latch his hand onto your wrist to tug you up the hill since you clearly couldn’t do it yourself.
“you can never do anything without me huh?” he questioned with a quirk of his brow.
you sheepishly smiled at him and mumbled in reply, “possibly but don’t let it get to your head.”
his piercing laughter rang in your ears a second time and he trotted forward without responding, though you knew your statement added to his ever-inflating ego.
after several long minutes and repetitive stops because let us be real he had more energy than you, more strength in his legs, you had made it to the top of the hill that overlooked the cityscape of your small town nestled in between the mountains. the scenery was beyond beautiful leaving you starstruck for you never quite saw it in this light, literally. the sun was beginning to set beyond the horizon, the warm colors starting to fade into the darkness of the night. some lights of the homes in the distance were sparkling and the usual sound of cars was drowned out by nature’s bliss. a breeze could be felt that cools you down in moments, brushing against your face and his own, his hair ruffling ever so slightly.
but it wasn’t only the scenery, it was also him and what laid before you. you had guessed he had come upon the flowery hill before he had come to your house to pick you up. for the picture mimicked one you would only see in movies. a red and white checked blanket was laid on top of the dark green grass without any wrinkles in sight and was held down by a huge brown wicker picnic basket. additionally, juxtaposition to the basket, was one of your favorite novels of all time, little women by louisa may alcott, with a bouquet laying on top. you could make out some small white daisies in the bouquet, your favorite flowers something only he would know.
everything just appeared to be perfect.
his hand had dropped from your wrist as he took steps forward to sit on the blanket, leaving you to admire everything in front of you.
your eyes were wide and filled with shock, but you managed to let a soft smile slip onto your face as you focused on him.
zhong chenle amazed you. he always did.
he tilted his head, waiting to see your next move, and then patted the spot next to him, silently asking you to join him.
you shook your head to get out of your trance and strode forward, sitting down criss-cross applesauce right next to the boy in question.
“chenle...” you spoke. “what is all this?” you let out a little guffaw, a teasing tone dripping from your words. “did you do this all for me?”
he gave you a deadpan look and you had to hold back the giggles from escaping your mouth. “don’t think too highly of yourself now.” he reached over to lightly push you to the side, the laughter bubbling up from your throat.
“but in all due seriousness, it’s a picnic can’t you see?” he put his arms in front of him and made a grand gesture towards everything before you.
your cackles halted to a stop and you huffed in response, rolling your eyes at his remark. trust him to be smart with his retorts, always trying to be one step ahead while ruining the zest in the process. silence encompassed you both as you just stared at each other, but then a beam broke out on his face, his eyes transforming into little crescents. he let out a small cough to clear the air as it was now your turn to give him a deadpan stare, but it was hard when his next words warmed your heart.
“anyways...while we are having a picnic that i obviously did for you, it isn’t for no reason. do you remember that time we were just absentmindedly discussing our crushes or something like that? it was a while ago, so i am not sure if you remember, but i do.” his hand was twiddling with a piece of grass as he had twisted away from you, refusing to make eye contact. “you told me this idea you had for a perfect date. one where your partner would prepare a picnic for the two of you, specifically with a home-cooked meal and the two of you would watch the sunset while having a view of the town. you said it was basically the dream date and the person that would do this for you would have your heart.” he let out a taunting snicker and finally raised his head to gaze at you again. “imagine that, but since you clearly haven’t had a date in forever, i thought why not?”
you were about to punch his shoulder from his not so kind jab at your love life, but he jerked away just in time before continuing. “might as well put my clearly romantic side to good use. as you can see i clearly did a fantastic job if i do say so myself. i think i got the whole lovey-dovey thing down.”
you hummed in acknowledgment though you weren’t going to give him the benefit of the doubt, well not entirely at least. “sure you do,” you let out a scoff. “but lovey-dovey? buddy, need i remind you we are friends?” you furrowed your eyebrows and glanced at him weirdly, though you were being lighthearted rather than serious.
he nervously chuckled and cleared his throat, afraid you caught onto something, but he knew it was all in good mirth. however, that didn’t calm his beating heart.
his nerves were still haywire, yet he managed to place his right palm over his chest, near his heart. “did you…” he took a sharp inhale of breath. “just friend zone me?”
you hit his chest playfully. “shut up. you’re so annoying sometimes, lele.”
he gave you a toothy grin, bumping his shoulder with your own. “it is my job after all.”
another roll of the eyes. “unfortunately, but i really can’t believe you remember what i told you about my idea for a perfect date. it seems so long ago…”  you trailed off, lifting your eyes to admire your town, the faint glow of the sunlight reflecting across your face.
“i always remember things involving you.”
your heart stopped in your chest at his bluntness, the evident embarrassment coursing through your veins. sometimes it astonished you how chenle never had a filter, always speaking his mind, yet with it came the fact that he sometimes did not know what he truly said. right now was one of those countless times, albeit you knew he meant declaration, especially when it came to one of his closest friends.
you could hear the shuffling besides you. chenle was obviously trying to set everything up by opening up the basket and taking out all the goodies he had prepared for this “romantic date.”
you whipped your head around to see what he was doing with making so much noise. at that moment he had managed to take out two perfectly plastic wrapped peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, placing them on two paper plates he had taken out seconds before. his hand reached in the basket once more and he took out two apple juice boxes, putting them right near the sandwiches.
your titters rang loud, startling chenle in the process as his head abruptly jerked up.
you brought your hands up to your mouth to try to stop the chuckles from coming out, the sound becoming muffled. he raised his eyebrows at you, trying to figure out what was so funny. instances went by before you had finally become quiet and dropped your hands in your lap.
“chenle you can’t be serious. what is this? an elementary school meal?” you threw your head back, placing your hands flat on the checkered blanket to keep your composure.
“hey! elementary meals were good. don’t slander them.”
you brought your head forward, raising your hands up in the air for defense. “okay, okay.” your beam was wide viewing his clearly offended expression. “though i know you can cook so it came as a surprise. i am just a bit confused is all.”
he sighed loudly, leaning back on his arms. “yes i can, but i was on a time constraint so i couldn’t hone in on my cooking skills today, okay? sorry to disappoint. though if you think about it this is technically home-made.”
“you’re not wrong, but hey i will take what i can get.”
“thank you for your generosity.” he let out a scoff then reached to the side of the basket and picked up your favorite book, thrusting it into your hands. “now here, i couldn’t forget to bring it.”
you ran your fingertips across the cover, turning it over in your hands to admire every inch of the novel even if you had seen it a thousands times before.
he poked your shoulder blade to capture your attention amongst your state of admiration. he held out the bouquet of flowers you speculated he had picked from the flowery field surrounding the hill and you put the novel to the side, taking the flowers from him.
“wow i guess i can’t deny you are a little bit romantic,” you jeered at him.
he whirled his head away, the tips of his ears growing slightly red. “now shut up and let’s watch the sunset...please.”
you let out a long breath. “fine, but don’t forget we have to eat too.”
he rolled his eyes, handing you the plate with the peanut butter and jelly sandwich along with the apple juice, which you gladly took from him after placing the bouquet down. “obviously.”
so that is how you spent the rest of the evening, like the perfect date you had in mind years ago―watching the sunset and eating a homemade meal even if it was something straight out of the elementary school cafeteria, while sitting atop a hill that encompassed the whole town.
when the light of day finally faded away, you cuddled close to your best friend, seeking some sort of contact even if the coolness of the night was rarely felt.
he didn’t even think twice before putting his arm around you, tugging you a little bit closer to him. when he did so you placed your head on his shoulder, rotating away from the now dark sky to peer up at him with puppy dog eyes.
you spoke so gently that if anyone managed to pass by the two of you right then, they wouldn’t be able to hear you from the barely evident sound.
“hey lele?” you question.
he hums in return, still observing the twinkling lights of the town and stars.
“thank you for today. i enjoyed our little friend date, definitely was like i imagined it to be.” you released a small giggle. “a perfect date indeed so thank you for doing this for me.”
he turns his head down to glimpse at you once you finish talking, his gaze filled with fondness. he then shifted slightly and placed a kiss on the top of your head, murmuring his next words.
“you’re welcome.” you could hear the smile in his voice.
you looked straight forward, no longer locking eyes with him and whispered into the night,“i love you.”
his melodic laughter filled your ears. “yes i know.” he paused, murmuring right back. “but i love you too.”
you held out your pinky finger, raising it slightly so he could clearly see it among the increasing blackness.
“always and forever?” you asked.
he hooked his pinky with yours.
“always and forever.”

Earphones// Tsukishima Kei x Reader
Word count: 2000+
Warnings: None lol I’m not even gonna warn for swearing anymore if it’s just swearing then none
Summary: You randomly discover Tsukishima’s knack for dancing.
You always saw him as a calm, or sly person. He was witty, mean, sarcastic, an asshole in every way possible. He was that one person that would call everyone out for looking stupid while dancing at a party, or the one that would remind couples on Valentine's day that it was to celebrate the death of a tortured and beheaded saint. He was pretty much the most no-bullshit person you’ve ever met. It was as if he simply didn’t understand the meaning of enjoyment, and thrived to seek out every opportunity to ruin it for others as well. He rarely went to social events, never showed up at parties, and you don’t think you’ve ever seen him smile genuinely. Ever.
Yet tonight, you witnessed something you never thought would happen.
You see, every night, you would take a good old stroll around your neighbourhood. Tonight was no different, except it was pouring, the constant pitter patter of your umbrella clouding out any other sound that was coherent. Sometimes you might run into street vendors, other times you would get a bowl of ramen to fulfil your midnight hunger.
Walking along the street to your favourite convenience store, instead of an eerily empty park, what you saw was Tsukishima Kei, the one person you were somehow close to, sitting in a park, with no headphones on. What a shocker.
Ever since you gave him those iconic white headphones, he has never gone anywhere without them. It was as if those headphones were a staple of your friendship, or more so, how much he meant to you. Just saying, those things were expensive. Like eighteen thousand yen expensive. You knew how much Tsukishima enjoyed listening to music, especially whilst doing work. You saved up for months, just to scrape together enough money to get him a brand new pair of headphones to replace his broken ones that only worked in one ear and had shitty quality. You would never admit it, but something in your heart clenched at the sight of the absence of those headphones you spent so much on. Many might have thought you were just sensitive, but they didn’t understand. In fact, no one would understand how insanely in love you were with him.
“Hey, beanstalk.”
The blond looked up from his phone, his legs crossed on the bench.
“Well, would you look who’s here. It’s the infamous shorty.”
You approached his hunched-over figure, taking a seat next to him on the bench. “So, why are you here? It’s pretty late already.” Shoving your earphones into your ear, you hastily scrolled through your playlist, trying to hold off the urge to ask where his headphones were. “Lost my umbrella while going home from practise, it’s raining cats and dogs, I’m not looking to get soaked while going home, so I’m waiting for the rain to stop. Thank God I brought an extra sweater, my uniform is all wet and gross.” Chuckling, you punched him playfully, muttering a quick “Idiot,” before picking a song. You were very low-key about your feelings towards him. God knows how he would react if you ever told him. He would probably ignore you for the rest of your high school lives. Even worse, he might make fun of you for being childish and emotional. Just the thought of it sent shivers up your spine and a dark feeling towards your chest. Shaking your head, you tried your best to drown yourself in the terrifyingly loud music that was blasting through your earphones. From next to you, Tsukishima could hear every single note that was playing from the internal speakers. He scooted closer to you, much to your embarrassment. You grabbed your phone, pretending to scroll through it when in reality, you were just trying to hide the burning blush that was now painted on your cheeks. He paid attention to every little sound that came out of those tiny little earbuds, as if trying to figure out what song you were listening to was a fun game. Noticing the sudden absence of music in your left ear, you heard a tiny, almost breathy chuckle, followed by a pull on the earphone jack. “Pulp, hm? Nice taste you got there.” your eyes widened in surprise, mouth curling up into a wide smile. “Ahhh, never thought the great Tsukishima Kei would know them.” The blond smirked, shoving the rubber tip into his ear. “What do you mean? I have a playlist dedicated to this kind of stuff. 80s music will forever be superior.” You rolled your eyes, not falling for his shit. “Nonono, no way. Hand it over, I need to see for myself. I’m convinced you’re listening to raptor mating calls on a daily basis.” The blond shrugged, dropping his phone onto your lap. “See for yourself.” Opening up his Spotify, you were bombarded with a huge selection of his playlists. “Right there shorty, that’s the one you’re looking for?” Pointing his nimble finger at a specific one that was labeled “Old Stuff,” you scrolled through every single song, not believing what you’re seeing. “Holy shit, and I thought you would be into indie or EDM or something like that. This is some new information that I have to process.” Snatching his phone back, he wiped the screen with his sweater, turning it off. “That’s enough snooping for today. Come back at snooping hours again.”
It was at that moment, did the song decide to change.
“Yeah, no. We’re skipping this shit.” You acted sad, fake pouting and huffing out. “But Tsukishima! All Star is God’s work, you can’t just skip it! Here, I’ll sing it for you!” The blond tried to look at you in disgust, but the smile he was holding back was clear as day, biting his lip as he tried not to laugh at your silly antics. “Oh God (Y/N) please no-”
Too late.
“SomeBODY ONCE TOLD ME THE WORRRLD WAS GONNA ROLL ME, I AIN’T THE SHARPEST TOOL IN THE SHEDDDD.”
“Absolutely not.” Laughing softly, Tsukishima managed to heave out.
Grabbing your phone and shoving it in front of your face, he unlocked it with ease, navigating his way through the five pages of otome games to find your Spotify. “Jesus Christ, never knew you were this desperate for a man.” The tips of his ears were red, one thought circling his mind.
If she really wanted a boyfriend, would she pick him?
Grabbing his arm, you begged for him to let you continue jamming to All Star. You were shaking him, trying to grab your phone, but nothing worked. “Nooo! Kei! Nooooo lemme listen to the Shrek sex anthem!”
“No.”
Scrolling through your usual playlist, his eyes landed on one particular song. “Hm? What’s this? You listen to Icehouse? Nice taste you got there.” Your grip on his arm loosened up as you looked up at him in shock. “You know them too! Yes! They’re very much adequate.” You stared in awe as the blond smiled from ear to ear, picking a song much to your dismay. “Yesss I love this song with my whole heart. My dinosaurs make way for this.” Hearing the similar synth, you instantly knew what he had picked. “Seriously? You like this song? It’s like cheesy as shit! This is so out of character for you oh my God Kei.” Tsukishima rolled his eyes, completely done with you. “It’s a good song, don’t come at me. Plus, if you think it’s so cheesy, then just delete it.” You frowned. You liked that it was cheesy. You always imagined someone singing it to you, most of the time this imaginary person being Tsukishima. “I like this song too, it’s fine.” The two of you sat in comfortable silence, your earphone jack being the only thing connecting you guys. The park felt weird. You felt weird. This whole situation was weirdly unreal. It was as if the two of you were stuck in a parallel universe, where you and Tsukishima were the only people that existed in that timeline. The silence was thick in the starry night sky, the streetlamps occasionally flickering as the song continued to play. Humming along to the addicting tune, you don’t even realise your body that’s starting to rock, arms swaying from side to side to the rhythm of the chorus.
“We can get together,“
“Get up.”
A hand comes into your sight, willing for you to take it as you feel another tug on your earphones.
“What?”
“You wanna dance, don’t you?”
Never in a million years, would the thought of Tsukishima being able to dance even cross your mind.
“What? It’s raining, I thought you said you didn’t wanna get soaked-”
“Just take my hand and dance with me.”
Hesitating a bit as you looked up at the blond, you raised a brow, grinning playfully as you let your hand fall into his, pulling yourself up and letting him take your other hand. You felt the cold droplets of water fall onto your skin and rolling off, the fabric of your shirt going damp.
“Just take one step forward,” he instructed, motioning for you to follow along with his dance moves. “Then take another step backwards. Everything else will come into place soon enough.” Lacing your fingers with his, the two of you danced in perfect sync, having the time of your lives. “I am learning so, so much about you right now and I’m all for it. Why’d you never tell me you could dance?” Tsukishima’s cheeks went a light pink, looking away bashfully. “It’s embarrassing.” Chuckling, you twirled yourself around, pulling on his arm as you forced his attention back onto you. “It’s not. I think it’s super cool. Do this with a girl and they’ll be head over heels for you in no time.” You mentally facepalmed yourself for saying that. His blush went from a light pink, to a dark red in no time, saturating his cheeks like paint. “Let’s test that theory out.” Mumbling to himself, he continued to guide you, twirling you around and hoisting you up at times.
“Baby we can get together, we can get together.”
The two of you were just jamming along now, not caring about your wet hair and soaked clothes. Tsukishima’s hair was now a damp mess, sticking to his forehead as he whipped his head from side to side, laughing as water droplets flew off his blond strands. Your hair was no better than his, (H/C) strands reflecting the light from the streetlamps as they hit your face with every sway of your head. The earphones were falling off at this point, but it didn’t matter. The two of you already memorised the entire song beforehand. All you wanted was to enjoy the short moment. Grabbing his wet hand again, you randomly started jumping to the beat, letting the blond follow along.
“Later sometime, you can buckle my shoes, you can pick up my sticks, why don't you open that door.”
You gasped in surprise as you felt a large hand spin you around one last time, before dipping you dangerously close to the floor, rainwater rolling off your face. The song came to an end with its final guitar chord, the reverb still ringing in the background. “So, what’d you think?” Tsukishima leaned down, his face dangerously close to yours. Feeling a Cheshire grin form on your face as your tried to raise your head up, you gave his nose a boop with your own, before falling back onto his hand. “That was amazing.” Giving you a cheeky grin, you could feel his breath on your face as he sighed contentedly. His breath smelled like mints, you couldn’t help but wonder how lips would taste too. “You good now, or do you wanna go home? I think the rain just stopped.
Still in that intimate position, you decided to finally ask him.
“Where are the headphones?”
“I didn’t want to get them wet, they’re too important to me. They’re in my bag.”
And that’s when your body decided to act on its own.
Your mind couldn’t even register what you were doing as you pressed a long, soft kiss on Tsukishima’s lips, feeling the heat radiating off of him.
“Now I’m good. Wanna go home?”
“Did you just-”
“Yes.”
Pushing you back up to a comfortable position, he stared at you for another ten seconds, face burning crimson as his mouth opened and shut repeatedly, trying to process what you just did. Finally snapping out of his thoughts, he awkwardly leaned towards you, before pulling himself back. After doing that a few times over, you were properly confused. Grabbing your shoulders, he pressed a firm kiss to your forehead, before grabbing his bag from the bench he was sitting on, pulling his headphones out and hanging them on his neck, handing you the earphones.
“Wanna do this again tomorrow shorty?”
“11pm sharp, don’t be late, and I expect another kiss.”
“Whatever you say cutie.”

By Chance [Lee Felix :: Fluff]
Tumblr media
Requested: Anon
Member: Lee Felix
Plot: Can I request a scenario where Stray Kids are out for a meal or something and the reader sort of falls in the restaurant and everyone stares at her because she’s low-key a clumsy mess and Felix can’t help but stare at her and find her cute and hears her speak English with her friends and is like “whAt?! 😍” and it ends really fluffily with cute shit?? (Idk if that was weirdly specific this happened to me the other day and I just imagined Stray Kids being there lol)
Genre: Fluff
Note: First of all this is the cutest freakin request I’ve ever received Secondly this took me like five ever I’m so sorry ^^’’’
•Tonight the boys were so super excited
•Well except Chan
•The boys had went out to another arcade and guess who lost
•das right your boy Chan (save this poor boy’s wallet)
•But that’s not the point
•The boys had decided to go out to a korean barbeque place for dinner because why not
•”Eat well guys Chan hyunggie is paying!” *Que Chan regretfully sinking further into this chair while the boys cheer*
•Once the food arrived along with their coca cola the boys got lost in eating along with their playful chatter and banter
•But for course they weren’t they only ones at the restaurant
•There was people varying for old couples, to business people, teenagers and your occasional drunken couple or groups of friends
•They never bothered to pay attention to the others though considering they had always managed to drown them out
•But tonight was different
•a group of friends had walked in ,seemingly playful considering their chatter and giggles that sounding through the restaurant
•though they weren’t loud enough to catch Stray kids attention as a whole
•Felix’s attention was drawn to them first, having not found interest in what the other boys were talking about
•He was about to turn his attention back to his friends till on of them had managed to trip and fall
•although he didn’t wanna laugh he couldn’t help but smile slightly at the predicament that had just happened in front of him
•”That was so embarrassing!”
•His ears perked at the string of english that had spilled out of the person’s lips
•He had originally thought they were cute to begin with but just hearing them speak english made them even more adorable
•Like adorable to the point Felix actually wanted to go up to them and just have a nice conversation
•Which was ultimately impossible
•Because he was out with his friends and they were out with their friends
•In general the meeting would be sort of awkward
•I mean unless his members caught him staring
•and unluckily for Felix they did
•”Guys I think Felix has eyes from so one who isn’t Changbin~”
•Seungmin was the first to throw him under the bus causing a chorus of laughs and a decent amount of protest from Felix to sound through the table
•”Come on Felix just talk to them~Or are you nervous”
•Jisung coaxed jokingly not actually think Felix would do it
•Shooting a challenging glare at the boy Felix  got of of his chair and started to make his way towards the persons table
•In all honesty the closer he got to their table the more he started to freak out
•Like in all honesty he thought his members would stop him and tell him to sit back down
•But no they just sat back and watched in amusement
•Once he finally go to the table he had no effing idea what to say it was just pure awkwardness as all heads slowly moved towards his direction
•”U-Uum hey.”
•Felix wanted nothing more but to just smack himself right then and there for stuttering
•”Oh hello? I’m sorry were we to loud?”
•”N-no I just wanted to know if you were alright… C-cause y-you not I saw you fall back there.”
•Instinctually his hand found the nap of his neck and he began to shyly scratch at the skin
•But this time it was your turn for your face to get red
•”Oh that… I’m fine thanks for asking though.”
•Once you shot him a shy smile arrows went shooting through his heart
•Like how is one so adorable without trying
•”N-no problem.”
•He took a glance back at his table and he knew he was not allowed to come back unless he actually had a conversation with you
•”Hey I knew this is kinda straight forward but…If you don’t mind would you like to go a date with me.”
•At this point you were literally so surprised because
•one a hella cute boy just asked you if you were okay
•and two because that hella cute boy had just asked you out on a date
•”b-But you don’t have to.”
•quickly snapping out of your daze you quickly accepted his reply and before you know it you were exchanging a numbers with him
• afterwards you both bid goodbyes and went back to doing your own things with your friends
•Thought Felix couldn’t help but glance at you occasionally because you were just so adorable to him
•At one point yall just lowkey caught each other staring and all you could do was blush and look away before making more shy eye contact
•Once it came time for Felix to leave he failed to have you leave his mind that whole night
•He didn’t even mind the teasing he was receiving from the boys cause like unlike them he had your number
•The next day he’s literally freaking out because he doesn’t exactly know what kind of person you are
•like were you the type of person that perfered a chill date or one that liked going out places like the amusement park or movies
•”Why don’t you just text them??”
•”ARe YoU OuT of YoUr minD?!”
•In the end Felix decided to just kinda have it be a chill date
•because he wasn’t about to spend money he didn’t have just to impress you
•He picked you up you up at your apartment and dressed nicely in his jeans, graphic t-shirt and black bomber jacket
•and when he saw you he had to stop himself from letting his jaw drop
•You were dressed simply in black shorts and a graphic t-shirt pulled back into a knot making it more fitting
•”You look nice.”
•”T-Thanks.”
•He shot you a smile as he watched you step out of your apartment
•Felix didn’t tell you much about the party besides the fact he was taking you to the movie theater and even then he didn’t bother to tell you what you both were watching
•till literally right before the movie started he decided to ask you a question
•”So how do you feel about horror movies?”
•and upon seeing you visibly tense he couldn’t help but chuckle a little
•”Don’t worry I gotcha if it’s to scary.”
•Your heart couldn’t help but skip a beat a little at his words as you suck further into your seat a light blush dusting your cheeks
•During the movie you stole a glance at Felix admiring his features a little before looking back at the screen a fuzzy feeling tickling your tummy
•and once the movie had managed to scare you, insitutally you latched onto Felix, burying your face into his side to take shelter from the scary scene Felix would softly tell you it passed
•But at one point you just got a little bit too shaken up and didn’t respond to Felix
•”The scary parts over now.”
•He whispered softly again running this fingers gently through your hair
•This time you shook your head
•Felix understood what you met and didn’t bother to press further, instead he chose to comfort you instead by either running this hands thru your hair or by comfortingly running his hand up and down your back
•At one point you realized the situation you both were in and the same fuzzy feeling came back
•Like you had literally met him not even a day ago and he was already making your heart flutter
•Once the  movie ended Felix nudged you lightly allowing you to detach yourself from him
•”You alright?”
•”I’m fine.”
•”Really you were holding on pretty tightly.” Felix joked enjoying the blush that became apparent on your face
•”I’m kidding, come on let’s go.”
•Nodding you got up allowing Felix to hold your hand on the way out
•and once you both left the theater you were both greeted with a gust of cold wind
•you noticeably shivered and Felix slipped off his coat with ease and placed it around your shoulders not uttering a word to you
•and when you looked at him all he did was shoot you a small smile before placing his arm around your shoulder pulling you closer as you both walked together
•Since it was getting late anyways Felix had decided to just hit up a cafe with you and have same small talk with you there before walking you back to your apartment
•”Soo how was today~” he teasingly asked not expecting much
•”it was really nice, thanks for dealing with me during the movies.”
•”it’s no big deal I thought it was super cute anyways.”
•a smiled grazed his lips hearing you get flustered once again, as light giggle slipping through your lips
•”alright I guess I better get going,see you soon.”
•”Goodnight Felix.”
•”Goodnight (y/n), remember to dream about me~
•Rolling your eyes playfull you waved goodbye before closing you door
•you slipped off your shoes and tugged off the coat on your shoulders
•it took you awhile to realize that wasn’t yours but you didn’t bother to try chasing after him
•instead you smiled to yourself and placed in onto a hanger knowing now he had a reason to comeback

At The Aquarium (Yongguk x reader)
Requested by: a kind anon
Word count: 5.5 k+
Genre/warnings: fluffy fluff  ❤ (this is a dad!Yongguk scenario)
Summary: It’s been a long time since the last little family trip or vacation had happened, all because of Yongguk’s busy work schedule and constant absence from home. When your son Minjun started talking non-stop about how he’d like to visit the aquarium, Yongguk couldn’t help it but make some free time to take you both there and have some much needed family time in order to make it up for the many times he was absent. As the day went on, you couldn’t help to think about Minjun’s issue he’s had since early childhood and how you could possibly fix it, needlessly stressing yourself out about it again up until Yongguk noticed, giving you some much needed support and advice, just as always.
(A/N) Does Yongguk actually drive a car, or just like an electric scooter, as I know he’s had issues with passing the driver’s test in the past, and I’m just not too sure about it. Well, anyways, for this scenario let’s imagine he does drive a car. Also, I’d like to clarify that I know less to nothing about going to an aquarium, as I’ve never been to one, so I hope this is at least halfways spot on. Anyways, enjoy!
Tumblr media
You looked over at Yongguk who was trying to finish dressing your son for the oh so long awaited trip. You smiled to yourself, quietly leaning against the doorway and hoping that you wouldn’t be noticed as you wanted to admire the scenery for just a little longer. “You have to put a jacket on, it’s getting cold outside and you don’t want to get sick, do you?” Yongguk looked at Minjun’s face while kneeling down to be somewhat closer to his height and trying to zip up his hoodie. Sometimes you wondered if Yongguk was aware that the kiddo was only four (and a half, as he always said) years old and still didn’t understand many things, for example, the fact that the weather was getting colder and colder outside now with every passing day, and that he needed to put on an extra layer of clothing in order to keep nice and warm and couldn’t go out of the house in a simple plain t-shirt just like in summer. And what’s more important, Yongguk was the worst role model when it came to dressing according to weather, so he shouldn’t be the one talking. He never had proper clothing on as he was seemingly numb to the cold. Of course his son would look up to him and do the same as he did, as you knew more than well he admired Yongguk and wanted to be like him in every possible way. “You should listen to appa, he is right,” you said stepping forwards, earning a glance from both of them. “But appa isn’t wearing a jacket so I won’t wear one either,“ Minjun stated, crossing his arms. You laughed slightly, reaching up and grabbing one of Yongguk’s hoodies from the upper shelf of the wardrobe that was located to your right. "He is going to wear one too,” you told Minjun as you came forwards both of them and pulled Yongguk up by his arm. With a swift move, you put the hoodie on him, dressing this mess of a grown man almost the same way that he was dressing a toddler just seconds ago. “See? Do as appa does and you’ll be fine,” you said, sitting down on the floor and helping Minjun tie his shoelaces. There was no more complaining to be heard from him as now everything was as it had to be. You smiled, knowing your biggest trick had worked again, because whatever Yongguk did, Minjun wanted to to do too, without exception. “Guk, could you bring me my phone, please? I think I left it on the commode in the bedroom,” you looked up at him and saw him smiling down at you and your son, admiring the heartwarming view while he could. “Sure,” he simply said and unwillingly moved his body from the spot, filling the corridor that lead to the room with heavy, sloppy footsteps. He came back just as you were done getting Minjun ready, and picked him up to sit on his forearm and hold onto his shoulder. “Ready to leave?” Yongguk handed you the phone and lightly smiled at you. You looked over at Minjun who seemed happy and excited about the trip, and couldn’t tear your eyes off of the iconic duo in front of you. Yongguk had some strong genetics going on, as Minjun looked exactly like a tiny version of him. Sure, he had a few of your prettiest features too, but they were a little less noticeable. Eyeing both of them off up and down, you realized how easy it was for literally anyone to tell they were father and son, because even the looks they gave and the way they smiled looked oh so alike. And God, if he grew up to be like Yongguk, or even to be half as warm-hearted and responsible as he was, you would be so proud of having a son like him. To be honest, you already were, simply because he already was a well-mannered, polite and nice bundle of joy. Like father, like son. You couldn’t help but love it. “You still there?” Yongguk waved a hand in front of your face, making Minjun laugh a little and snapping you back to reality. You didn’t have time to say anything in defense or explain yourself as Yongguk gently took you by the hand and headed to the door, not wasting time on something that was already obvious. You just liked admiring both of your boys from time to time, as they were so precious, especially when paired up together. The car ride was a lot of fun for Minjun, as he always liked car rides when they featured the whole family. He would ask to listen to B.A.P’s songs, or as he referred to them, “appa’s and sam-chon’s songs”, and he’d make everyone sing along to whatever was on next on your phone’s playlist. It would be a mixture of him and you singing loudly and happily with Yongguk occasionally joining in to do his parts of the song. When Yongguk was rapping, as well as trying to live up to his morals of driving with no distractions around himself (so he could fully focus on the road and on driving safe) and slightly failing at that, everyone had to be quiet, according to Minjun. He was amazed by Yongguk’s low voice and ability to rap, and thought of it as impressive. Well, he wasn’t the only one, as you loved his voice too, and not only when he was spitting truth and fire in songs but also when he was whispering sweet nothings in your ear or asking for your permission to do something more to you in between long, passionate lazy afternoon kisses that you shared every now and then. You laughed out loud when “Yamazaki” came on, and Yongguk, being the old soul and inner grandpa he was, struggled to keep track of the road and meanwhile skip to the next song, as he was always very wary to the music Minjun listened to, and he for sure didn’t want him to hear something like “Yamazaki” just yet. The fact that you thought it was amusing made him relax a little, and he was finally able to skip it before any of the hard-hitting lyrics could fill up the car. He glanced at you in the backseat through the front mirror, and chuckled a little. Oh, if only Minjun knew… The car stopped soon, and you stepped out of it, undoing Minjun’s safety belt first and letting him get out of his children’s seat. You took one of his tiny hands in your bigger palm, and Yongguk took the other one right after he he had made his way around the car. As you approached the entrance door, you saw another quite similar-looking family leaving the building, the mother smiling at you as they passed by. You smiled back, knowing she had it probably just as good as you, as their son looked about the same age as Minjun, and the way the father held her close with one hand resting on her back indicated that their relationship was quite loving. You glanced over at Yongguk, who weirdly enough seemed to be enjoying the fact that he was out of the house and going to see something interesting. His peaceful facial expression that almost resembled a little, faint smile made you happy, as you knew he was the type of guy who either overworked himself or stayed home for as long as he could, enjoying the peace and solitude that was brought to him by being away from everyone and everything, except of his family. It was a rare occasion that he willingly let himself be dragged out into the public, and you were more than happy at the fact he was enjoying it.
Yongguk managed to get a little glance of you staring and smiling before you shyly turned away. He couldn’t help but melt a little at the way you looked up at him, with your eyes happy and bright, knowing that some nice and well-needed family time was about to happen. Minjun’s gaze was just as excited, and Yongguk felt slightly overwhelmed by the calm and peaceful positive feelings that slowly crept further into his heart with every passing minute. He knew he owed this and so much more to the two of you, and he was ready to give his best when it came to taking care of his family and making them feel good and happy. The Aquarium. Or, more importantly, the one and only place Minjun for some weird and unknown reason had always wanted to visit, but never got the chance to actually do so. Yongguk had promised to go there long ago, but his schedules had always been tight, and sometimes when he had the time he simply forgot. Minjun was so enthusiastic about it recently that Yongguk had decided on a specific day and date when you’d go just so he wouldn’t be able to push the trip further away, and Minjun hadn’t been talking about anything other than the trip ever since. Now, finally here, he was more than ready for all the different sea creatures that could be seen behind the thick, clear glass. His face displayed happiness, but there was also a hint of something else, a hint of something that never truly left his head and heart, no matter where he went. There was just one thing he was never prepared for and that kept bugging him always, and deep down this fear of his worried you. People. You could see it in his eyes and his behavior right after you’d entered the building. After paying for the tickets and being showed the right way, you started looking at the many different types of colorful, tropical fish that were swimming around in the huge, crystal-clear aquariums, with Minjun at your right side and Yongguk not too far away at your left. Minjun was clearly amazed and happy to be there, but couldn’t seem to fully experience a positive time, as you weren’t the only ones there. In fact, the place was packed with tons of people of different types and ages. You hadn’t expected it to be such a well-attended place, but then again, you’ve never been to an aquarium before, so you couldn’t have possibly known. As Minjun looked at the many different types of colorful, eye-catching discuses that were swimming back and forth in the aquarium, you watched him and the way he behaved, amazed by how much it differed from his attitude that he had kept up for the whole morning prior to arriving here. The always happy, cheerful and smiling child that you’d seen just minutes ago when you were in the car was completely gone now. Instead, he stood there, looking a little scared and anxious, being as quiet as ever. You sighed a little, picking him up so he could get a better look at the fish and tap his little fingers at the glass to attract their attention.  For as long as you can remember, Minjun’s been afraid of people, especially big crowds and masses of people or people he didn’t know. It first showed when he was very little, as he’d always cry when your friends came over to visit both of you. You thought it was just because he was little and was confused of the may faces he’d never seen before, but as years passed and it only escalated you weren’t all that sure anymore. You hoped kindergarten would make it a little better, as he would find friends to play with and would hopefully open up a little, but soon enough you sadly were forced to realize that it was just another addition to his fears and anxieties. You’d always see him sitting alone in the corner, drawing something or playing with the teachers when you came to pick him up, and it broke your heart a little to see everyone else having fun in bigger or smaller groups of playmates while Minjun was sitting alone. When you asked him about it, he said it was fine and that he liked it this way, but you were still a little worried about his happiness and well-being. Plus, it didn’t help at all that his favorite person in the world was missing from his life oh so often, and simply wasn’t able to be there every single day. You sighed at the memories flooding back to you, as you really hoped it would just be a nice family day without any negative thoughts. “Is appa going to come?”, or “he promised he would!” were sentenced you never liked hearing, as most of the times they never came true. Well, not until Minjun’s bedtime came around at least, as Yongguk would always come home late and leave early in the mornings, that is, if he came home at all. Sometimes he’d stay at the studio, and often he was away with the group, promoting or going to different places to tour and perform. Minjun would refuse to go to sleep before he saw appa again, but every time his eyelids would feel way too heavy to keep them open for longer, and you’d often find him soundly asleep at the most random places while he was waiting for Yongguk to come back home. Minjun would also wake up every single day and be more than happy to see you as he loved you to bits, but whenever he ran to the kitchen just to find Yongguk’s tea mug already emptied on the table and his lean frame not in front of the obnoxiously large windows, his face sank. He’d brush it off every time, but you knew that spending time with Yongguk was the thing that Minjun wanted to do the most, as every time Yongguk’s frame actually was in place, looking out of the window and sipping on tea, Minjun’s laughter would fill the room as he ran forwards his father just to be picked up and spun around by him. He was the happiest when he was with Yongguk, and you didn’t like the fact that that had been only an occasionally thing in the past, especially recently. Yongguk was more than just a father figure to Minjun. He was a person Minjun looked up to and idolized. He was a hero without a cape who was away so often because he was doing his heroic deeds, making sure everyone had it good and lived happily. Yongguk’s absence always made Minjun feel a little sad, but he looked at it from the bright side, and seemed to be proud whenever you told him that appa was performing and making thousands of people happy. He was always smiling brightly when he saw performances of B.A.P through the phone screen or TV, and he never forgot to mention how good he thought Yongguk was for making so many people happy every day. You admired your son and his ability to give up his happiness for the happiness of thousands of other people who he didn’t know at all, because he never complained when Yongguk left for a longer amount of time, although you knew how much he wanted him to stay. You were sure Minjun didn’t even know how much a thousand was, and you were amazed by how forgiving and nice, as well as thoughtful he was at his very young age. You guessed it was just something that he had gotten from Yongguk - the endless ability to give up everything and think about other people first and only then himself. Even with his busy lifestyle, Yongguk never missed on the opportunity to talk to both of you, and he always made sure you had everything you needed. He kept an eye on Minjun at all times, and was a helping hand when it came to raising him. You’d hear them in the living room sometimes, with Yongguk sitting on the floor, his legs crossed and his gaze directed at the little kid who was sitting in front of him and was trying to imitate his sitting position as good as he could. Yongguk would teach him to be polite, to always say “hello”, “thank you” and “goodbye”. He’d teach him to never hit or hurt anybody, especially girls, but at the same time he’d teach him not to let anyone be mean to him and bug him. He’d teach him that he could hurt somebody not only by physical action, but by words too, and Minjun seemed to listen to all Yongguk had to say, without any complaints or comments. They’d often play afterwards, with Yongguk smiling brightly and filling the room with his contagious laughter as Minjun tried to wrestle with him, always “winning” at the end, as, apparently, Yongguk turned out to be not the strongest, but the weakest warrior of all. He’d always video call you both when he was away, and he’d always make sure you knew he loved and missed you. He’d be strict at times, not letting you spoil Minjun too much and raising him the proper way, but making sure you both always had just what you needed to live a comfortable life as well. When he was present, he was the sweetest father and husband imaginable, and when he was away absolutely nothing changed, as he was just the same. The only problem was that he was away way too often, and you found it harder and harder every passing day to spend so much time apart from him.
Yongguk had noticed your change in mood soon enough, and, as you walked into a huge hall with an impressive aquarium that featured some jellyfish in it and Minjun, for the first time during the day, ran off excitedly to look at them on his own, you felt an arm wrap around your waist and pull you a little closer.
“Hey, what’s the matter? Something’s wrong,” he said, cutting you off with an “and don’t say it’s all fine and don’t change the subject,” right after. Damn, how was it that he always knew that you were about to say?
“It’s.. I’m just worried for Minjun a little,” you said, leaning your head on his shoulder as he pulled you along to come closer to the aquarium. Yongguk’s tight grip around you radiated a wave of comfort and warmth, and you suddenly felt a little better, knowing you should talk about it with him. After all, he’d help you deal with it and find a solution, just as he always did. Yongguk never left you to battle with your problems alone, you knew that from day one.
“Tell me about it,” he simply said as he turned his head a little and planted a small, gentle kiss on the top of your head. You loved how subtle and unnoticeable his movements were, and you loved how he could always feel and notice when you were upset or nervous. He turned his head back to look at the impressive sea creatures, letting it rest on top of your head as you tried to think of a way how to put all of your concerns into words.
“It’s just that.. You know, I want him to be happy. I’m absolutely proud that I have a son like him, and I love him the most out of everyone in this world, well, excluding you, I love you just as much. You’re both my number one,” you heard Yongguk chuckle a bit, and you couldn’t help but imagine his infamous gummy smile slowly forming as he heard those words. “It concerns me that every time we leave to go somewhere, I see him being afraid and anxious just because there are people around. I thought that it was a thing that would go away with age, but seeing the fact that he gets older and older every day and his fears only keep increasing doesn’t really lower my concerns.”
“Hey, don’t break your head and heart over it,” Yongguk told you, his hand running up and down you side lightly now, “I’m sure it’s only temporary and it will go away. Whenever I see him, he’s always happy and bright, without a single worry.”
“Yongguk,” you called, feeling the need to look him right in the eyes while saying the next part and lifting your head so you could actually do that, “tell me, how often do you see Minjun when he isn’t home but actually in public?”
This question seemed to have hit a sensitive spot, as Yongguk froze a little, trying to think of what to say. Right as he was about to open his mouth, you saw Minjun running back to both of you and getting a hold of Yongguk’s leg.
“I’ll go with you,” he said in an anxious tone, and Yongguk picked him up the same way he did it when you left the house, still keeping the other arm around your waist as you went to look at other aquariums.
You felt slightly bad for bringing up this topic, as you felt like you had disturbed Yongguk’s happy and peaceful aura that he had woken up with today. At the next given opportunity, Yongguk set Minjun down on the ground so he could run off to look at some seahorses and turned to you, looking at you straight in the eyes.
“Hey, I’m sorry,” you said nervously, twisting a strand of your hair with your fingers, “I didn’t mean to upset you.”
“Babe,” you heard his low, clear voice, and froze a little, as he always knew how to attract your whole attention with just one word, “don’t worry about it. Can I say something?”
You slowly nodded, feeling slightly nervous as he took one of your hands in his and tugged you along to one of the aquariums with seahorses in it. He made you stand right in front of him, and soon enough you felt his arms wrap around you and his head rest on yours. You were sure he could feel hour slightly increased heartbeat, but you were also sure that he wrapped his arms around you like this to calm you down a little in the first place, and made you stand in front of the aquarium and look at the seahorses because they had a somewhat calming effect on you. He knew all your worries that you had about raising Minjun, as you never hesitated to tell him that you felt not wise and qualified enough to raise a child, and once again he was ready to try and clear them all off your mind for some amount of time.
“I know I’m not always there when you two need me,” he started off, indicating this would be a slightly longer and more emotional speech, “I feel bad every time I come back home too late or leave too early to see Minjun awake, and I feel bad every time I know you both are struggling back home and I am on the other side of the world, not able to be there physically with you. But please listen to what I have to say now, as I don’t know for sure if I’m wrong or right since I don’t know the full story and I haven’t always been there, but I’m certain the situation is just as I’ll explain it now.” He had your full attention now, and you nodded slightly just to let him know he could continue.
“Remember when I told you about my childhood and how I used to be? I hadn’t even started talking when I was Minjun’s age yet, not to mention I was also more on the shy side, just like him. But, as years passed, and by years I don’t mean just one or two, but a couple more than that, it went away. Despite not having too many friends at first and not liking to communicate with strangers, I had an amazing family that loved and supported me, and I think they were the people who shaped me and my personality in the first place. I know you’re always worried about being a good parent, and you’re always afraid of doing something wrong, and Minjun having this issue isn’t helping. But I want you to know that, in my eyes, you are the best. You constantly keep filling in the empty space I leave behind when I’m not around, and you constantly think not only of Minjun, but of me as well, putting the well-being of both of us in first place and putting yourself second,” he told you, sounding so serious and genuine. You admired how Yongguk could stay completely calm in every situation, and loved this ability of his as whenever you felt stressed out or about to flip he was the one in charge of taking care of you and the situation, and he always did it flawlessly.
“Give him time,” Yongguk said as he started swinging both of you lightly from side to side, “I’m sure that’s all he needs. Don’t overreact about it, instead let’s just give him our full love and attention and take him places where he feels more at ease and comfortable at, for example, places like this. Look at him,” one of Yongguk’s arms unwrapped from your waist and he pointed to the direction MInjun was in.
He was at another, much bigger seahorse aquarium. Your eyes fixated on his amazed, happy looking face, and you smiled. Minjun was too caught up with looking at the seahorses that he didn’t notice anyone or anything around him, and, even though the next thing you knew he was anxiously running back to you just to be picked up by Yongguk and seated on his forearm, for a second it seemed like Minjun had no fears or problems in this world.
“You know who those are, right?” Yongguk asked Minjun as he pointed at the aquarium and the tiny, unusual creatures swimming in it.
“Seahorses! Eomma told me about them and showed them to me,” Minjun stated, clearly proud of the fact he could correctly answer to the question. Yongguk threw you a loving glance, as if saying “of course he knows, you keep teaching him a lot of things so he grows up smart” and came up a little closer to you, gently placing his hand on your lower back.
“Oh, and where did she show you?” Yongguk asked as he turned to face Minjun, and you couldn’t help but admire once again how alike they looked.
“Eomma bought me a book with all of the sea animals in it!” Minjun stated, and you felt Yongguk slowly walking away from the aquarium, gently leading you to where he was going.
“Really, all of them? I don’t think I know all of them as good as you though, could you teach me maybe?” Yongguk said smiling, and you saw Minjun’s face light up the second he heard those words.
“There… There are seahorses. And then there are octopuses, and jellyfish. And then there are sharks too, I really like sharks because they are big and dangerous. Appa, will we see a shark today? I really want to see a shark!” Minjun exclaimed, making you smile brightly. Yongguk was the one who was always teaching him things, and the fact that Minjun could teach Yongguk something instead seemed so new and exciting to him. It was a heartwarming view, and you were glad you were able to see it right here and right now, in front of your eyes.
You walked through the rest of the building with your boys, and smiled. Yongguk seemed to be engaged in conversation with Minjun every given second, and Minjun’s never seemed happier before, at least not in the past time. Every now and then he’d ask to be put down so he could run off and get a closer look at something, and at those moments all of Yongguk’s attention was directed towards you, as he urged you to talk more, listening to your stories of different things of bigger and smaller importance and just enjoying your time together. Hours passed, but the warm and fuzzy family aura was still there, and even strangers threw you loving glances as they saw the three of you walking around and showing everybody how a real family is supposed to look like. Right as you thought that you’d seen everything and were already slowly preparing for departure, you wandered into the huge hallway that lead from the aquariums to the lobby and froze a little in happy disbelief.
“Appa, eomma, look! Sharks!” you heard Minjun exclaim as he looked up, trying to capture and remember this view for as long as he could. Indeed, those were sharks. Not the big and impressive type of sharks, but still good enough to make Minjun stand in one place, looking happy and amazed at the sight. This was by far one of the most beautiful wall built-in aquariums you’d seen today, and you were glad that the people who planned and designed this building kept it as the cherry on top.
Yongguk was still by your side, his arm still wrapped around you as you leaned your head on his shoulder to admire the view.
“You know, I like sharks too, I have to admit that even the small ones are impressive,” you chuckled a little at Yongguk’s remark, and silently agreed.
“Thanks for taking us here today,” you told him and felt a tiny little kiss being placed on the top of your head.
“I’ll make sure to plan ahead for the next weekend as well, if you don’t mind.”
“I don’t mind at all. In fact, I’d love it.”
“In that case, everyone else will have to wait a little. I have a family to take care of, so I will try my best to do it the proper way,” Yongguk said as you looked over at Minjun, thinking of how happy he will be about another trip.
Before Minjun, you were just two people hopelessly in love, and, even after you had been together for years and had finally gotten married, you were hesitant to call yourselves a family. Could a family consist of just simply two married people, or did they have to have at least one child to be considered a  family? To be honest, thinking back at it you realized you had no time to think about it back then, as soon after the wedding you were staring down at a positive pregnancy test, and soon after that you were telling Yongguk, feeling nervous and anxious about it because you hadn’t planned it. You remembered his face that displayed pure happiness from the second he heard those words leave your lips, and you remembered how he held you in his arms back then, telling you how happy he was that he’d have his own little family. That was the first time when he addressed you as his family, and now, after more than five years, you stood there and thought of how happy you actually were. You remembered how despite his schedules and big amounts of work Yongguk always tried to be there, and you remembered how you slowly shaped Minjun into the little person he was now, teaching him good manners and the right way to do many things together with Yongguk.
“Hey, Yongguk?” you looked up at him and smiled, getting a questioning look from him in response.
“I think you’re right. I don’t have to worry about Minjun that much, as he just needs some time and encouragement. And places like this. Look at him, he looks so happy,” you both threw a glance at Minjun who had forgotten about the whole world and was staring at the sea creatures, seemingly impressed by them.
“Told you,” Yongguk simply said, as he knew you didn’t need more of an answer than that. After waiting for Minjun to be done looking at the tiny sharks and coming back home, as well as playing with him a little, eating dinner and putting him to bed, you couldn’t resist to wrap your arms tightly around Yongguk’s frame as he made himself comfortable under the blankets right next to you in bed. Yongguk was fast asleep, as the day must’ve been fun but tiring for him, and as you felt his body slightly move from his light breathing you couldn’t help but remember his words.
“Everyone else will have to wait a little. I have a family to take care of, so I will try my best to do it the proper way.”
You smiled, knowing he meant it and would try to free as much time as possible for you and Minjun in the future. After all, you needed your loving husband, and Minjun needed his hero without a cape. And of course, Yongguk needed you both too, because you were the closest people he had - his family.
