G'mornin'! I just saw your post and I want to say it's always warming seeing someone getting back into writing!! And so please can I request:
Luke Hughes with "the first initial kiss being a peck, then they immediately go back in for a stronger, more passionate one" + "I'll give you a ride, don't worry."
Have a lovely day and take your time, no rush <33
Thank you so much for requesting and for your encouragement xx. This turned a bit longer than I anticipated, but I hope you enjoy!
Just when you thought your day couldn’t get any worse, your car decided to show you just how bad it could get. You’d already had a long and crappy shift of dealing with handsy old men, your manager and coworkers were seemingly fighting to see who could piss you off the most, you had spilled a red colored drink on your white top, and now you had to deal with whatever problem your car has now. Needless to say, you were over it.
Members of the club you worked at passed you by without even a simple glance in your direction as you stood there with frustrated tears welling in your eyes, phone to your ear as you tried to get a hold of anyone. Your hopes of someone coming to your rescue dwindled with each unanswered call until you had officially given up. You sank to the ground, knees pulled to your chest and back pressed against your car as you let out a sigh of defeat.
“Hey,” You heard a familiar voice call out.
You slowly lifted your head up from its spot between your knees and your gaze landed on Luke, one of the guys you grew friendly with during his many trips to the golf course. Though, truthfully, you had always been a bit more than friendly with him on occasion, always throwing subtle flirty remarks his way that he would bashfully return. He was a little on the shyer side than most of the guys you encountered at work, but you liked it. You liked him.
“Hi, Luke,” You weakly smiled at him, hoping the sun had set enough that he couldn’t make out the small streaks of mascara underneath your eyes.
“Is everything okay,” He carefully asks, taking a few steps closer to you with his hands shoved into his pockets, “I thought your shift was over a few hours ago?”
You decide to ignore the fact that he remembered you always got off at three on Tuesdays, but it still made your chest warm.
“It was,” You confirm, your eyes flickering to his usual group of rambunctious friends a few feet away from him before finding Luke again, “My car isn’t starting, and I can’t seem to find anyone to come pick me up, so I’m stuck here until my parents get back from the city in a few hours.”
“A few hours,” Luke lets out in disbelief before he shakes his head, his curls bouncing around in disarray, “Absolutely not. I can take you home. You’re not waiting out here for hours.”
“Luke, no,” You stressed, finally rising to your feet so you’re closer to eye level with him, though he still has quite a few inches on you, “I can handle waiting a bit longer. It’s okay. Plus, it’s way out of your way.”
A fact you knew courtesy of the time Jack had invited you to a party they had sometime last summer. A party that you left early because of the multitude of girls hoarding the one person you had gone there for.
“Doesn’t matter,” He stubbornly stands his ground, hesitantly taking a step towards you, “I’ll give you a ride, okay? Don’t worry. Making sure you get home safe will never be out of my way.”
Luke didn’t take no for an answer, and that was exactly how you ended up in seat of his expensive car with his music softly playing in the background. You had never been alone with Luke before, let alone in such a confined space, and it made you nervous. Any of the usual teasing and flirtatious remarks you would throw his way were left in the parking lot of the country club, only awkward casual conversation falling from your mouth now.
Luke kept stumbling over his words, occasionally veering off into a rant of sorts whenever certain things were brought up, and it made a smile twitch at your lips. After a few minutes he would realize that he had been talking far too long, though you didn’t mind, and he would mumble a bashful apology before directing the conversation into something different. By the time you were nearing your house, a bout of silence had fallen over the two of you and you watched everything flashed by.
“This is the one,” You pointed to the house on the right side of the street, “You can just drop me off at the end. I can walk the rest of the way.”
Luke brought his car to a stop right in front of your house, quickly throwing it into gear and grabbing the key before he was darting out of his seat. You watched him with furrowed brows and curious eyes as he jogged to the passenger door before carefully tugging it open. He was sporting a shy, timid smile, his hand grasping at the frame of the car as he patiently waited for you.
“Thank you,” You sheepishly mumble, hugging your bag to your side as you slip out of the seat.
“Of course,” He clears his throat, awkwardly shifting on his feet, “I’ll walk you to your door.”
Luke walked close enough to you that his hand kept brushing your arm, making warmth spread up your neck and to your cheeks as you kept your gaze on the ground in front of you. Once you were standing in front of the door, you finally turned to face Luke and you couldn’t help but admire the way he looked under the warm porch light. His features were soft and delicate, his curls framed his face in a way that made your mind run rampant with the idea of running your hands through them.
“Thank you, again,” You swallow thickly, “For taking me home. I really appreciate it.”
“Anytime,” He nods, and you swear his eyes drift down to your lips, “It’s the least I can do after all the gatorade’s you supply for me and the boys.”
His joke brings a quiet giggle out of you as you playfully shake your head, “I definitely make sure to keep my cart stocked when I know you guys are coming. Though I can never seem to have enough for Jack.”
“Yeah, he throws them back like they’re going to disappear,” He chuckles, his lips tugging upwards into a smile.
“I believe that,” You airily chuckle, your gaze quickly darting to his mouth before looking away, “Well, I’m sure you probably have better things to do tonight, but I really do appreciate you.”
You hastily stand on your toes to place a small and delicate kiss on his cheek, your eyes fluttering closed for a fleeting moment until you were flat on your feet again. When you meet Luke’s eyes again, there was a certain glint to his eyes that made you nervous, but he gave you no time to dwell on it before he was surging forward and slamming his lips on your own. Your reaction was instantaneous, your bag falling from your shoulder as you wrap your arms around his neck and you kiss him back with everything you had in you.
Luke’s hands found purchase on your waist, his fingers pressing into your skin as he brings you further into his chest. His mouth is moving against yours, unyielding and fueled by months of suppressed feelings as you lose yourself in the moment. It felt like the two of you were connected for hours when you regrettably pull away from him to catch your breath, his hands sliding to the small of your back to keep you close to him.
“I’m sorry,” He eventually breathes out, his chest heaving against you, “I just— Um, I’ve wanted to do that for a long time and I—”
“Luke,” You tenderly cut him off, peering up at him through your eyelashes, “I’ve been thinking about that for a long time, honestly. Actually, I was wondering if we could do it again sometime?”

merry chrtismas angel !!!<3
idk if your taking requests today but anything with sevika and reader who celebrate Christmas with isha and jinx and everything is happy and jolly and everyone is alive and well
-💌
merry christmas to all my readers who celebrate!! and if you don't: i hope whatever holiday you partake in is festive and fun and EASY this year (i.e. no family drama ahahhaahha)
men and minors dni
"we might've overdone it..." you consider as you examine the literal mountain of wrapped gifts shoved under your tree. sevika giggles.
"it's their first christmas with us. half of this shit is just stuff for their room." sevika reminds you.
"it's gonna take them all day to get through this stuff."
sevika laughs. "just means we get a day free from having to entertain them."
you laugh and lean against your wife, both of you smiling at the christmas tree. the girls spent the entire evening dressing it up. you're going to be vacuuming glitter out of the carpet for years to come, but it's all worth it for the happy laughs that came from isha and jinx as they covered the tree in tassels and handmade ornaments and garlands.
you and sevika shuffle to bed a few minutes later, exchanging sleepy, happy kisses in each other's arms before falling asleep.
you wake up to squealing.
"EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEK!!!"
"wha? wha's happening?" sevika asks as she shoots up in bed beside you.
your bedroom door slams open and isha and jinx both come tumbling in, sprinting up on your bed.
"YOU GOT US SO MANY FUCKING PRESENTS!!" jinx screams as she jumps on your bed. you giggle.
"AAAAAAAAHHH!!" isha squeals, tackling you and sevika back down onto the mattress to wrap you up in a big hug. your heart bursts.
"the sun's not even up yet." sevika whines. you can hear the smile in her voice yet.
"too bad, old lady! get up! it's christmas time!"
you spend the morning making pancakes and watching isha and jinx tear into their presents. sevika hangs off your hips, her chin hooked over your shoulder, a kiss pressed to your throat intermittently.
jinx cries when she opens her customized tool kit-- the handles hand made by a local artisan-- purple and blue swirled together with her name carved in all the tools' handles.
isha stands in pure shock for a full minute when she unwraps her own bike-- all decked out with a basket and pink and blue tassels in the handles. then, she hops on, and rides the bike directly into the christmas tree.
by mid-afternoon, the girls have passed out in a pile of pajama-clad limbs in front of the fire place, exhausted after all the excitement from the morning.
"i'd call that a success." sevika mutters, cheersing her spiked hot coco against yours.
you giggle. "merry christmas, love. you'll be getting your present from me a little later tonight." you tease. sevika laughs.
"what a coincidence. that's when i was gonna give you your present too."
"ugh, you guys are disgusting." jinx mumbles from the floor. you snort and throw a crumbled up ball of wrapping paper at her head. she flips you off, then sighs. "here." she says, reaching out for something under a pile of wrapping paper.
sevika takes it from her hands, a small box wrapped in construction paper; doodles from both isha and jinx decorating it.
sevika carefully unwraps it, refusing to tear the special paper.
tears well up in your eyes the moment sevika pulls out the bedazzled picture frame-- the photo inside taken a few months ago-- all four of you dressed up and smiling bright at the camera.
the treasures and sparkles decorating the frame are clearly all collected by isha-- bottle caps and marbles and anything else shiny she's been able to find.
sevika turns the frame over, and she lets out a choked sob as you both read the note on the back.
none of us expected that this is what our family would be, but now that it's here i wouldn't trade it for the world. thank you. jinx. and isha
isha wakes up with a groan when you and sevika dive off the couch and on top of your girls on the carpet, cuddling them all into your arms as you cry.

Daemon: Leftover (1)
NOTE: This is the newest edited version of this story
The spiked disco ball reflected thick beams of light throughout the interior of that cavern and all of the daemons residing inside of the bodies of the island goers were cast out and turned into dust. The light penetrated them and their deathly allergy caused them to combust after the bodies expelled them. The thing about human skin is that it is a wonderful sunblock for the creatures.
The leftover daemons, the ones lucky enough to dodge the beams reflected into the cave, were abandoning the island if they could. One creature stuck to the shadows, hitching a ride on the last boat off the island and hiding in the pipes to keep from being seen. The passengers unloaded and the daemon hid until the the ship was empty and the cover of night gave the perfect opportunity to stride towards Crystal Cove in search of a new host. With the Daemon Ritus in the hands of Mystery Incorporated, this ancient being needed to resort to using his own powers to remove the protoplasm and provide an empty husk.
"Hello?" I turned the corner with my evening cup of coffee and blood shot eyes. I had seen something duck behind a dumpster, but its large skeletal-like form could never be completely covered by the trash container like a person hiding behind a telephone pole. The creature stood up and started taking large strides towards me, which of course made me spin on my heels and start sprinting. My foot got caught on something and I spilled my coffee as I rolled. I held out my hands, defending myself from the incoming attack.
"Wait! I can help you! Please don't hurt me!" My eyes shut tight and I could feel the daemon looming over me. I opened one eye first, looking up at the creature and then opened the other. I slowly stood up, hearing it breathe without looking away.
"Come with me." I waved it, urging it to follow, and every few steps I would turn back to find it sauntering along the same path I was taking. It would stay hidden, ducking behind different objects. Even though it was night, the streetlights still put it on edge. The fear dissipated from inside of me as it followed and the intrigue simmered until I could feel the warmth in my ears. It was hard to miss the new blasts about the events on the island, Scrappy, Mystery Incorporated, the daemons. Fred and his gang got a pretty good payoff for solving this mystery and the airtime really solidified their detective agency. Plus, who doesn't love a talking Great Dane?
A quick turn of my key and I was inviting the daemon inside my apartment. It ducked down pretty far, continuing to amaze me by its size. "Sorry for the low ceilings." I tossed my keys into the bowl by the door. I wasn't even sure if he knew what I was saying. It couldn't speak to me until it had a mouth to speak with.
I took out a sketchbook and started to draw from pictures, figures and items that might be needed to help it and then held it up. A symbol for water, another for the bathroom, and a figure of a guy with a little floating head next to it. I placed it in the claw so he it could communicate its needs. With one look, it pointed at the figure of the guy and then circled the protoplasm. It thudded over to the shelf and picked up a glass jar, handing it to me.
"Oh! To put the protoplasm!" The creature nodded. Good to know it could understand me. I felt bad watching it crunched under the ceiling. I turned to my phone and started texting a friend. I needed to return a book and even if he was a friend this would only temporary.
"Hey man, thanks for texting. I really needed this to finish this essay I'm writing and there's those chapters for class tomorrow. Practice just gets out so late." Dan had his hands in his pocket as I invited him inside and the creature was hidden away.
"Yeah, no worries, it's back here." I invited him down the hallway and into the back room where the creature was hiding. Dan followed blindly and I stepped out of the way as he entered the room. The creature had positioned itself behind the door and closed it once Dan and I cleared the threshold. I jumped back as it grabbed Dan's waist and pulled him up towards hi face with an unnatural strength. Dan was screaming, panicking in its grip before the daemon's green breath surrounded his body. Green smoky tendrils disappeared into his nose and he inhaled causing his eyes to roll back and his body to slump over. He placed him down on the bed and ripped off his shirt. Dan's body was lightly dusted with hair and his mouth hung open as though he was snoring. I stepped closer to watch what was happening, jar in hand and covered in dry paint.
The creature turned towards me, its eyes glowing green and it noticed I was enthralled. It took its elongated fingers and plunged them directly into Dan's chest. White and blue light surrounded the penetration and Dan's body writhed underneath the creature digging around inside his body for what would eventually be his protoplasm. Withdrawing its hand, the small head of my friend appeared and blinked in disbelief. He bobbed around for a moment, realizing he had no control over anything, and then panicked as I pushed the jar around him. I spun the lid on and covered it up on my night stand so he couldn't watch.
Turning my attention back to the creature, he crawled onto the bed and it creaked with each move. The daemon parted Dan's lips with one hand and with the other it brought its fingers together and started to push inside of him. Just as the creature's flesh hit his mouth, it started to turn into dust, flowing inside of him. It was the same dust that the creatures become when exposed to sunlight. Dan struggled beneath it as the creature adjusted to his body, and suddenly its feet lifted off the ground and disappeared inside. His mouth shut and he moved his lips around while it took over, limbs twitching and fingers curling. His eyes opened and glowed that beautiful green color I had seen earlier.
"Wow." I realized my vocabulary had been reduced to that one word and I was involuntarily stepping closer. I could feel the heat emanating from his body.
"Thank you." He said, standing up.
"You're welcome." I watched.
"You are not like other humans. Back on the island, even when we were told we had human allies, they were lying." He stared at me.
"I don't think you should have to suffer because you're different." I say.
"I'll remember that."
"Should I call you something other than Dan? Do you have a name?" I asked, my eyes glued to his form as he stood up. His skin was moving around as he got even more comfortable in his husk. As he stretched I just wanted to touch him.
"I like the idea of having a name." He started approaching me and pressed his hand against my crotch. I didn't realize how long I was hard for, the need for release was almost painful.
"You don't have one?" I whimpered.
"Never been given one. This body - can I keep it?"
"He should get his body back eventually, we can get you more bodies to inhabit." I stare into his eyes and then pull him into me. The idea of having this creature in this body forever was so tempting, but Dan was a nice guy. There were plenty of other assholes to hollow out.
"You care for this human even now." He squints.
"Yeah. But not like that." I realize we are incredibly close and he leans into my ear.
"I like Max." He grinds into me and kisses my neck.
"I like that." I say and suddenly our lips are pressed together. He is delicate at first, but then I feel the hard wall behind me and suddenly he is pushing into me with deep airy breaths. He takes off my clothes while we make out, pinning me to the wall with a pile of clothes forming at my feet. We spin and he's suddenly against the wall with his cock throbbing in front of him. His eyes follow me as I kiss his chest, pecking down towards his v-line, and finally landing on my knees as I swallow his cock.
His head falls against the wall and he opens his mouth to let out a small growl of pleasure. He grabs my head, forcing my mouth farther onto his cock and I want to smile as I feel the tip of his throbbing meat at the back of my throat. My hands hold onto him as he thrusts into my mouth and I can feel him starting to leak.
"This feels amazing." He moans, looking down at me with those piercing green eyes. With my tongue, I play with the tip before taking him all the way in again, choking as he moans above. His warm white juices fill my mouth and throat and I swallow as he convulses in pleasure against the wall. I look up at him with his cock still pulsing between my lips and he looks down at me. His fingers move through my hair as I pull off of him, picking myself up off the ground and letting him taste his load as we make out.
"How was that?" I asked, finally coming up for air.
"I want more." His eyes flashed green and I felt his cock harden again.

You have the perfect idea to welcome Aemond home but a lot of it plans on getting his parents house empty. It’s the holiday season so you’re hoping they’re going to one of their vacation homes to escape the cold. You didn’t necessarily want to text Helaena about your plans but you needed her.
you: pls tell me you guys aren’t going to be home when Aemond gets done w school
hel: do i even wanna know? but luckily for you both 🤢 we’ll be out of town
you: and you’ll leave me a key in exchange for some gifts 😋
hel: pls just don’t go in my room 🧎🏼♀️
you: anything else off limits
hel: no i just don’t tell me where 🫠
You drive over to Helaena and smoke with her before handing her a bag of different gifts. She hands you the key and giggles asking what you have planned. By the end of your ideas both of your faces are red as you giggle. You hug her and then make your way back home to finish getting the final touches.

Aemonds family left an hour ago and you showed up ten minutes ago ready to clean his room and get it ready. You thank the Gods his mother still upkeeps his room so you don’t have much to clean up. You yank off his sheets and replace them with the red silk ones you ordered. After getting the bed situated you grab the plastic bag with the rest of your things and finish setting up.
aemond: omw home
you: helaena left me her key yesterday i’m in bed waiting for you 🤭
Aemond groans, putting his phone in the passenger seat and giving his car a little more gas. For the next couple of weeks he gets to spend everyday with you. Besides the couple days starting tomorrow when he has to go to his parents. The ride home flies by and he smiles when he pulls into the drive and sees your car. He scrunches his brows when you don’t meet him outside or even at the bottom of the stairs.
He expected you to be napping or anything but this. His headboard has black silk tied through the slats that wraps around both of your wrists. You have silk tied around your chest in a bow with a matching bow tied over your hips hiding your core. He walks closer to you slowly trailing his fingers up your leg.
“You have to tighten this one. I couldn’t on my own.” you whisper, wiggling your fingers and his hands are at the wrist you mentioned tightening it.
“Mm I quite like this.” his fingers dance along your skin teasing you with his touch. His fingers grab onto one of the ribbon ends on your chest and he looks at you with a raised brow. You nod at him and he pulls slowly at the silk, groaning as your chest is bared to him. “My very own present.” he hums, kneeling on the bed next to you. He dips down and flicks his tongue against your nipple.
“Aemond.” you squeak as he takes the peak between his teeth. He continues to suck and nibble as you squeeze your thighs together.
“I can’t believe you did this for me.” he kisses across your chest to your other nipple. “So very sweet to me.” you squirm as his fingers trace down your side. He grabs the edge of the ribbon over your hips and it slips off and falls to the bed. He sits up on his bed and looks down at you. “Fuck you’re so perfect.” he stands up and lets his eyes travel over your body.
“I got some more stuff for you in that bag.” Aemond turns and sees the black plastic bag waiting for him on his desk. He gets up and smiles watching you squirm in his bed. When he grabs the bag he groans finding more silk restraints, a ridiculous amount of oil, and Gods he’s going to have too much fun with this.
“You won’t be leaving this bed for hours.” he turns to you with dark eyes. Your eyes look at the vibrator in his hand and you nibble your lip squeezing your thighs shut.
“Open your legs. I won’t hesitate to tie them open.” your breath catches as you slowly open your thighs. He turns the vibrator on and watches your cheeks flush. He presses it to your bud and smiles when you pull on the silk.
“Aemond,” you moan loudly. He chuckles as you roll your hips while soft gasps greet his ears. He settles between your thighs keeping them open and pressing his lips to yours. A cry comes from you as he turns up the setting. “Aem, yes, I’m gunna,” he watches you with an amused smile as you buck against him and pull against the headboard.
“Fucking look at you,” he watches you go taut as your pleasure washes through you. He starts to swirl the head against you as you tremble beneath him. “How’s that feel?” he hums watching your chest heave.
“Good, so good,” your words slurred from pleasure as he starts to kiss down your neck. “Yes, yes please,” your legs wrap around his waist and he grunts as the vibrator presses against his pants. You chuckle hearing his breathing deepen. “You gonna come in your pants again?” you gasp as he pulls back and turns up the speed. “Aem, I-“ you gasp as he chuckles.
The broken whimpers leaving your mouth are going straight to his cock and he wants to hear more. He starts to circle the head and his name is torn from your throat. The silk tied to his headboard is taut as you arch off his bed. He pushes your legs open more as he slides down to lay between them. He doesn’t pay attention to your babbling as he shoves two fingers into you. He groans when he feels you pulsing around his fingers and with a couple more pumps of his fingers your pleasure is seeping out of you.
“Please fuck me, please,” you cry and he chuckles turning off the vibrator and tossing it to the side. “Gods Aemond please.” you pull on the silk groaning that you can’t touch him.
“I was going to until you made that pants comment.” you scrunch your eyebrows and whine at him.
“I take it back. I’m sorry. Please.” he watches your body shake as pleasure still courses through you. “Aemond please, please,” he smirks watching you try to wrap your legs around him again pulling him towards you. “Aemond please, I’ll do anything.” you whine watching him get off the bed and start tugging his clothes off.
“I’m sure you will but I don’t think I can be convinced right now.” he hums getting back into bed. You turn your body towards his and he silently chuckles as you pout. “Gods you’re so fucking perfect.” he runs his hand up your side. “But when you open your mouth.” he shakes his head. His eyes widen and he sits up and smiles with an idea.
You watch as he leans over you and grabs the ribbon and hovers over you. He lowers the ribbon to your mouth and tilts his head slightly in question. You lift your head up and he smiles, wrapping it around and tying it into a bow. He leans back and kneels between your legs looking over every inch of you. You squirm when he wraps his fingers around his length and starts to slowly stroke himself.
“This is what I’m going to think about every night you’re away from me.” you squirm watching him tighten his grip. “Tied to my bed with your mouth shut,” he softly groans as he swipes against his tip. “Pussy crying for me just to reach out and,” he chuckles as your body jolts when his other hand trails up your thighs. “Tell me what you want.” he smirks as your words get lost.
You look up at Aemond with pleading eyes spreading your legs wider. He watches as you bite the ribbon in your mouth with frustration as he ghosts his thumb up your slit. Whimpers make it past the ribbon as his thumb dips into your wetness just to glide up to your hip. You watch his grip tighten around his length as he watches your writhe on his bed. He groans, unable to take it anymore and leans over to slide into you. He pulls the ribbon from your mouth and smashes his lips to yours. Your wrists tug against the ribbon holding them up and you whine.
“What is it now?” he pumps into you slowly.
“I want to touch you.” you whimper as he rolls his hips.
“Mm, but I just want to sit here and enjoy my present.” he chuckles, snapping his hips into you. “Maybe I’ll try both of my presents at once.” he reaches around the bed searching for the vibrator.
“Yes,” you nod your head quickly. “Please,” you roll your hips into his. He smiles when his fingers wrap around vibrator and he flicks it on. He hovers it above your bud and watches you buck against him and pull on the ribbon. “Oh Gods Aem, please, please yes,” you whine and he presses the head to your bud.
“Fuck,” he groans as you pulse around him. Your eyes roll back as you shake beneath him as he continues to push into you. The vibrations push his pleasure over the edge and he spills inside of you. He turns off the vibrator and tosses it once more before collapsing on your chest. “You give the best gifts.” he presses his lips to your skin.
“Please untie me.” you push your chest into his face. He chuckles and reaches up to pull open the silk. “Thank you, baby almond.” you wrap your arms around him and run your fingers up his back.
“No, thank you for the perfect present.” he lifts up and presses his lips to yours.
ᓚᘏᗢ
When Aemond wakes up he panics that you’re not still in his bed. He pulls his sweats on and a smile spreads across his face as he’s halfway down the stairs. Music is coming from the kitchen along with your voice and the sounds of you cooking. The sight of you in one of his shirts could send him to his knees every time. He leans against the doorway watching your relaxed state and begins to make his way over to you.
“I was wondering how long you would continue to watch me.” you hum as his arms wrap around your waist.
“I could watch you forever and it wouldn’t be enough.” he mumbles, pressing his lips to the back of your head.
“Shut up.” you chuckle at his dramatics.
“I’m serious.” he holds you tighter.
“Well go sit down and keep watching so I can finish breakfast.” you wave him off with a smile. He presses his lips to yours quickly before walking around and sitting at the counter.
“I don’t want to go visit my family later.” he sighs, resting his head in his hands. “I want to spend my time with you.” you turn to look at the pout you know is placed on his face.
“It’s just a couple of days, baby almond.” you hum. “We can Facetime like we normally do.” you begin to plate the food.
“I don’t want that. Can’t you just come with me?” he doesn’t care about the slight whine in his voice.
“Mm baby almond,” you coo, setting his food down in front of him. “Why are you so whiny this morning?” you brush your fingers through his hair and he buries his head in your neck.
“I’m not, I just want to be with you.” he pulls you into his lap and you chuckle. “Please.” his lips press against your neck and your fingers pull his hair.
“Is this my present?” you smile. “My sweet baby almond.” you hum holding him closer. “Let’s eat breakfast first and we’ll figure it out from there.” you pull back cupping his face.
“Okay.” he nods, finally letting you go. You both start to eat and he turns to you with a smile. “So we’ll spend the next two nights with my family and then we’ll come home and be with your family?” he says in between bites.
“Aemond,” you chuckle.
“I’ll pack for you and drive you. I’ll roll for us every time. You won’t have to do anything.” he nods. “You’ll get to see Hel, you love her. You can smoke with her.” your smile widens at his coaxing.
“How could I say no to any of that?” you look at him.
“You’re supposed to say ‘Yes Aemond I’ll come with you because I love you so much.’ and then give me a kiss.” he purses his lips and you study his face wondering if he realizes his words. “Wait fuck, I’m-
“Yes Aemond I’ll come with you because I love you so much.” you chew on your lip watching his cheeks flush. “This is when you say ‘I love you so much more.’ and not make this awkward.” his eyes snap to yours searching to see if you’re making fun of him.
“But do you really?” he whispers with a raised brow.
“I do.” you whisper back. “Do you?” your heart starts to beat faster.
“I do.” he nods.
“Then say it.” you feel your face heat.
“I love you so much more.” he grins and you know your face matches his.

When you pull into the driveway Helaena opens the front door and waits with a smile plastered on her face. You give Aemond a quick kiss before getting out and leaving him to unpack the car. He smiles watching you run up to Helaena and she tugs you inside. She hauls you upstairs to her room and you chuckle when she slams the door shut behind you both.
“Gods I was so happy when I found out Aemond was bringing you. I didn’t want to have to hear him whine about you.” you chuckle kicking off your shoes to sprawl across her bed.
“I want to meet Aemond’s girlfriend.” his brother walks into the room. “Our baby brother got lucky.” he smirks at you.
“Aegon, get out.” Helaena throws a pillow at him. “And knock next time freak.” he chuckles before leaving the room.
“I need to like gossip real quick.” you turn to her with a hushed voice.
“Tell me now.” she scoots in close.
“He told me he loved me today.” you still can’t believe it.
“Well of course he does.” she chuckles. “But do you love him?” she raises her eyebrow.
“I do.” you nod your head and she squeals. “Shh,” you cover her mouth and you both turn when her door is opened once more.
“For fucks sake can none of you knock?” Helaena sits up and looks at Aemond.
“You stole my girlfriend.” he walks over to the bed and scoops you up.
“I’ll sneak you away from him later.” Helaena calls after you with a smirk. He starts carrying you down the hall and you chuckle at his small pout.
“Aemond,” a woman’s voice calls from downstairs.
“Gods,” Aemond groans and changes his course. When you both get to the first floor once more he sets you down. “Yes mother?” he grabs your hand and leads you to the living room.
“Oh my Gods she’s so much cuter than Helaena described.” his mother stands from the couch and pulls you into a hug. “Look at the two of you.” she stands back and coos. “Go stand by the tree right now.” she waves the both of you over and Aemond chuckles, grabbing your hand.
“Mother-
“Enough,” she smiles, grabbing out her phone and immediately starts snapping pictures. “Smile.” you chuckle looking up at Aemond and he presses his lips to your quickly before turning back to his mother. “Gods you’re both so adorable. Oh Aemond, look at your little blush.” she coos and you bite your lip to hide your laughter.
“Mother please,” he says exasperated.
“Fine.” she sighs. “Go relax you two and I’ll see you for dinner.” she smiles at her phone flicking through the pictures.

Dinner went well and his entire family loved you. You’ve never seen Aemond blush so profusely and make a note to come to more family dinners. His hand has been squeezing yours for the past ten minutes and once the table is cleared he’s helping you up and tugging you to his room.
“I can roll, Aemond.” you go to grab the tray out of his hand and he holds it above your head.
“I said I was rolling for you.” he smirks as you glare up at him.
“I just thought I’d offer.” you roll your eyes before going to lay on his bed. There’s a quick knock on his door and he groans walking over to it and opening it.
“Thank the Gods you’re not fucking yet.” Helaena smiles pushing past him and joining you on the bed. “I brought a joint for us.” Aemond watches the both of you giggle and curl up on his bed. He flares his nostrils and goes to shut the door when Aegon's hand stops him.
“I also come with gifts.” he walks in with a small package of gummies.
“You two could smoke together and leave us alone.” Aemond looks at his siblings.
“It’s the holidays, baby brother. Don’t be so grumpy.” Aegon giggles sitting at the desk.
“She was my friend first. If anyone is smoking alone with her tonight it’s me.” Helaena says from next to you.
“And where did you two meet?” Aegon waves off Aemond’s sigh. Aemond begins to roll knowing there’s no way he’ll get them out of here.
“School then she became my dealer.” Helaena hums before lighting the joint.
“So that’s why you stopped buying from me.” Aegon chuckles before popping a gummy into his mouth and tossing the bag to the both of you.
“Aemond too. She’s much better than you.” she smiles and passes you the joint.
“Ouch,” Aegon grabs at his chest playfully.
“You literally stole back the weed I paid for.” Aemond looks at him with a raised brow.
“Well you left it at home when you went back to school.” Aegon lulls his head to the side to smile at Aemond.
“You’re impossible.” Aemond sighs and walks over to you, handing you the blunt.
“Thank you, baby almond.” you smile up at him before handing him the joint and gummy. His eyes go wide hearing your nickname and Aegon's accompanying snort.
“Baby almond?” Aegon giggles and you watch Aemond clench his jaw.
“Aegon enough,” Helaena chides with a hint of a smile.
“I’m sorry.” you whisper up at Aemond. He looks down at you with dark eyes as he continues to hear Aegon chuckle and Helaena attempt and fail at hiding her joining laughter with him.
“Here.” Aemond reaches his hand out and passes the joint to Aegon. He tosses the gummy into his mouth and joins you on the bed choosing to ignore his siblings.
“Can you pass this to Helaena, baby almond?” Aegon giggles.
“At least I have a girlfriend.” Aemond seethes, taking the joint from Aegon.
“Fair enough.” Aegon shrugs still smirking. “Baby almond.” he bursts into giggles along with Helaena.
“Aem,” you look up at him and see him looking up at the ceiling. “Aem,” you grab his hand and he looks down at you. You lean into his side hoping he’ll start to relax. You light the blunt and pass it to him and hope the nickname will be forgotten by everyone within a couple minutes.
“Well if Aemond is going to pout I’m going to put music on.” Helaena sighs and gets up to turn on his speaker.
“Of course I’m going to pout if you’re going to make fun of me.” Aemond sighs, passing the blunt to Aegon.
“Gods Aemond, you’re so dramatic.” Helaena comes back to the bed with the joint once the music is on. “I figured her present for you would help you relax.” he looks at you with wide eyes and you fall back onto the bed covering your face.
“And your girlfriend is equally as dramatic and has good weed. Be happy. Things could be worse.” Aegon chuckles, handing him the blunt back. “Just hold onto that until you chill out.” Aegon reclines back into the chair.
“Since when do you guys tag team me?” Aemond groans looking between both of them. “And you? Hiding when you started this.” he turns and looks down at you.
“Me?” you move your hands and look up at him with an open mouth.
“Don’t give me that look.” he points the blunt at you.
“So now I have, pouting almond?” you blink up at him and Helaena claps her hand over her mouth to hide her laughter while Aegon lets his sound loudly.
“Both of you out of the room.” Aemond stands. “Take the joint and blunt with you. I don’t care. Out.” he walks to the door and his siblings stand trying to rein in their laughter. As Aegon walks past he plucks the blunt out of Aemond’s fingers before he snaps the door shut.
“Aemond I’m-
“Now you can call me Aemond.” he shakes his head, chuckling. “Because you know you’re in trouble.” he grabs your ankle and drags you to the end of the bed. He lifts you up and takes a seat on the edge of the bed. “Come here.” you walk until you’re standing between his legs.
“I didn’t mean to.” you push your bottom lip.
“Mm.” he starts to take off your shirt and pants leaving you in your panties before looking up at you. “Over my knees.” you nibble your lip as he helps you bend down.
“Aem,” you look back at him and his hand lands on your ass.
“I don’t want to hear it.” he lands his palm on your other cheek. He pulls your panties and you squirm as they press into your center as his hand lands upon your cheek again. He watches your panties become more wet as his hands land on your cheeks. He starts to softly rub at the heated flesh and you turn and look up at him with pleading eyes. “Stand up for me again.” he spanks you one more time pulling a whimper from you.
“Aemond I’m sorry,” you watch him smirk up at you. “Aem,” he stands and towers above you as he starts to pull off his clothes.
“Then be a good girl and get on the bed.” you nod quickly. “Face down.” he turns, watching you raise your ass into the air. You hear him discarding his clothes and bite your lip when his fingers ghost across your ass on the sensitive skin. “Bring a pillow to your mouth or my whole family will hear you.” you reach up and bring one down to you.
Aemond grips your hips, lifting them higher before he begins to spank you again, watching your pleasure leak out of you slowly. He swipes at your wetness and coats its length watching you squirm on his bed. He slowly starts to push into you listening to your muffled noises. He starts to pump into you quickly, watching you scoot against his bed and fist his pillow. His hand lands on your ass again and groans when you flutter around him.
He leans down over you slowing his movements so he can whisper in your ear. “Next time you call me baby almond in front of someone I’m putting you over my knees on the spot.” he groans as you squeeze around him. “Mm but you might like that. Hm?” he chuckles, snapping his hips into yours as you nod your head into the pillow. “Of course you would.” he lifts back up and spanks you again. “Because you’re so fucking naughty.” his hand lands on your cheek and your pleasure bursts through you. “Fuck,” he groans spilling his pleasure in you. He slowly pulls out and flips you over to look at your heaving chest.
“Do you still love me?” you nibble your lip.
“Of course I still love you.” he curls up next to you in bed and holds you closely.
“And you’ll still love me if I call you baby almond?” you turn your head and look at his smile.
“I love when you call me baby almond. Just not in front of others.” he presses his lips to your brow. “Though I’m sure now my siblings will call me that exclusively.” he sighs, pulling you closer.
“So I can call you baby almond in front of them?” you try to hide your smile.
“Gods I’d let you call me anything you want.” he shakes his head.
“I love you, baby almond.” you hum letting your eyes shut.
“I love you too.” his head rests against yours as he starts to drift off.

The rest of the weekend with his family went smoothly and by the time you got back into town to spend the next couple of days with your family you were both relaxed and prepared. Your parents and siblings adored him and invited him back anytime he wanted. You were nervous about this weekend but everything has gone so perfectly you couldn’t have asked for anything better.
“So this is what holidays will be like for the rest of our lives?” Aemond turns to you on your bed.
“The rest of our lives?” you smirk. “Someone is thinking far into the future.” you cup his cheek.
“We’ll graduate soon. Get nice jobs or if you’ll allow me to, I'll just have a nice job and you can stay at home. We'll have our own house. Maybe have a kid or two. Get a dog or a cat.” he looks down at you and takes in your flushed cheeks.
“I want to get a big fish tank.” he chuckles, holding you closer.
“That’s the only complaint?” he raises his eyebrows.
“Not a complaint, just an addition to everything else.” you reach up and kiss him.
“I can do that for you.” he mumbles against your lips.
“Thank you, baby almond.” you wrap your arms around him tightly.
“It’s only because I love you so much.” he wraps his arms around you and pulls you on top of him.

Hello! Can I request Dark Agatha x Reader? Reader swears she's seen the same car following her since last week, but no one will believe her when she says she thinks someone is following her. When Reader returns home after a long day, she sees the same car parked in front of her house and her door is open, someone is inside.
Thank you!!!
No problem, here you go!
Warnings: +18 MDNI stalking, mind control/body manipulation, allusion to kidnapping
“Can you please hang out tonight?” You were leaning over the small table grasping your friend’s hand in yours. Practically begging her, a comical frown on your face. For the past week you’ve seen the same car everywhere. At the grocery store, parked right across the street from your home, even at your favorite small restaurant. “Maybe if they see someone with me, they’ll back off. Elaine, please.” You’ve tried telling your friends and family, but nobody believes you. They aren’t even willing to listen.
“You know I got my date. This guy is a keeper. A date on Christmas Eve? I can’t miss this.” She pulled herself away, taking a sip of her coffee. Waving her hand, she dismissed your fears, “You’re being paranoid. It’s probably just one of your neighbors having family visit for the holidays. You’re fine.”
Seething the entire elevator ride back up to the office, while Elaine babbles about the guy she’s seeing. You aren’t paranoid, you know for a fact that you’re being stalked. Tears of frustration brimmed your eyes as you briskly walked back to your office. You don’t understand why no one will believe you.
Dread loomed over you for the rest of the day. Watching the clock tick until it was time to leave. Even after clocking out you stayed late into the night, out of fear. The entire office building was devoid of and life by the time you left. Wanting to prolong your journey home you drove around looking at all the lights and decorations.
—
Turning on your street you spot the same car parked across the street from your home. Pulling into your driveway you sat for a minute trying to calm your frantic mind. Looking at the car in your sideview mirror you noticed it was empty. Letting out a deep sigh you slumped in your seat, doubting yourself.
Fishing out your house keys from your pocket you went to put them in the lock, only for the door to open once you grasped the knob. Heart sinking because you know you locked your door this morning. You frantically grabbed your phone to set up an emergency call.
Shit!
The phones screen refuses to turn on. It must’ve died in the middle of the day. Cursing yourself for forgetting to plug it in overnight and being in too much of a rush for work to even check the battery. Grabbing the pepper spray that hangs on your keys, you made your way into your house.
Mentally chastising yourself repeatedly as you looked around your home for any discrepancies. None were found, however, nearing the living room you froze upon hearing soft hums. Slipping your thumb under the cap of the pepper spray you prepared to defend yourself. Stepping out from behind the wall you spot a woman standing in front of the tree, a glass on eggnog in her hand. She carelessly pushed your family’s gifts around with her foot, before sharply turning around sending you a beaming smile, “There you are! I was starting to get impatient. Wondering when my gift was going to arrive.”
A frigid chill shot up your spine, your body suddenly enveloped by coldness. Fear sunk in your stomach staring at your ex, Agatha. Memories flooded back at how manipulative she was, trying to isolate you from your family, and friends. At the first opportunity you had you moved out, and far away from her. You tried to talk, scream at her to leave but your tongue was as heavy as stone.
“What the matter?” Faux concern etched on her face as she inched closer. Snatching the pepper spray from your hand her eyebrows arched. Scoffing Agatha simply finished her eggnog, dropping both the glass and small canister on the floor. All you could do was flinch hearing the glass shatter on the floor.
“Kringle got your tongue?” She cackled, “I’m sure you have a load of questions, but I can answer them after we do gifts tomorrow.” She stepped behind you, hands running over your torso. Black and violet blotted the edges of your peripheral vision. A hand crept under your shirt, nails digging into your sides. Her voice low and seductive, “And, Darling, I can’t wait to tear into mine.”

Do They Know It's Christmas?
Happy holidays, lovelies! And most importantly, happy noot fic exchange/ secret Santa to @itsaash --you're a legend, a sweetheart, and a friend I hold near and dear to my heart. I hope everyone is staying safe and sound! You've made it through the shortest day of the year; it's only up from here! Thanks to @veryspacecowboy for coordinating the exchange and @lumosinlove for the characters!
TW for implied smut and mild Vaincre spoilers
Here comes Santa Claus, here comes Santa Claus, right down Santa Claus Lane…
“Fourth line, take it left!”
…and all the fun we had last year…
“Good work, boys, remember we’re working clockwise.”
Run, run, Rudolph, Santa’s gotta make it to town…
“I know, I know, but we need to get that down before we break today.”
…come on, it’s lovely weather for a sleigh ride together with…
“Keep those crossovers clean in the corners, Sunny!”
…the very next day, you gave it away…
Arthur frowned at his clipboard. An ache had started up along the inner corner of his eye, and not even the steady working of his thumb brought relief. The song changed to something bright and tinny with silver bells; the things he would give for a nice, quiet O, Holy Night right about now. Something soft, with minimal jangling. A saxophone would be lovely.
They had a schedule. They always had a schedule. The boys were used to rotation exercises—he had even taken pity and not added anything new or complicated to the roundup. The whole damn thing was laminated and taped to the damn glass around the damn bench on both damn sides of the goddamn rink.
Arthur’s eyes ticked typewriter-smooth down the list, but his ears alone would have told him it was a lost cause. Messy crossovers. From Sunny. Crunchy, scratchy steps from skates of perfect sharpness. Low muttering, barks of laughter, rollercoaster-arcs of chatting when they were supposed to be focusing. Cap did his best, but Harzy looked about two laps from chewing his way out through the boards.
Well. It was almost Christmas. He could be kind.
The whistle broke through Brenda Lee’s second chorus; 20 heads popped up.
“Revision!” Arthur called across the ice, drawing a steady line through the end of his list. “Bring it in.”
Their rush to the bench was the cleanest they had sounded all day.
“We’re going to finish a little early today—”
A wave of cheers cut him off, then petered out at his unimpressed glance.
“We’re finishing a little early,” he repeated when the Christmas spirit had released their souls at last, leaving only a faint ringing in the upper levels of the bleachers. “Because I’m taking off the last rotation.”
Arthur slipped his pen back into the clipboard clamp. Olli raised a tentative hand. “So…we can go…?”
Arthur frowned. “What? No, we’re going ‘til noon, if you just—guys, the schedule is right there—”
“Nooo—”
“But Coach—”
“—Christmas!—”
“I haven’t even—”
“—been here so long—”
“—like you don’t even love us—”
“—mom’s gonna kill me if I don’t—”
Unbelievable. Simply beyond words. Arthur looked over Nado’s pleading hands, hoping for an ounce of solidarity from the one person besides himself who was literally appointed for this duty, and was met with only a beleaguered, whale-eyed stare in return.
Arthur raised his eyebrows.
Sirius gazed back.
For such a large person, he could really pull off ‘sickly Victorian child begging for gruel’ when he wanted to.
“Alright,” Arthur muttered. It was lost in the sea of writhing and wailing. “Alright!”
The team (finally) fell somewhat silent.
“I am very sorry,” he began, pausing to slide his clipboard onto the bench hook. Their anticipation was delicious. “That I assumed a group of grown men playing their favorite game for millions of dollars would be able to handle one morning practice for their last competition before a holiday break.”
Pots’ eyebrows pitched as if he had been stabbed. “But Coach, it’s Christmas.”
“It is December 22nd.”
“I haven’t even found something for my dad yet!” Walker piped in.
“Sounds like a personal problem with time management.”
Pascal—the traitor—shuffled on his skates. “I was going to make holiday cookies with my children,” he said sadly. “They grow up so fast. We might not have many years of it left.”
Arthur rolled his eyes. “I’m letting you go at noon, not locking you in here overnight. And I know you make cookies on Christmas Eve, because you put them on my doorstep every year.”
Pascal tsked, but didn’t deny it.
“You get cookies?” O’Hara perked up, craning his neck to look at Pacal. “How come we don’t get cookies?”
“Because I don’t need you to like me,” Pascal said with a smile.
“What if we need to catch flights?” Knut interrupted.
Arthur squinted at him. “Knut, we have a game tomorrow. You better not be going anywhere.”
“Well, no, but the sentiment stands.”
“No, it does n—you know what, fine, if you make it through…” Arthur leaned around the glass to squint at his beautiful, crisp schedule. “Your next two—TWO, I don’t wanna hear it—rotations before 11:30, I will let you out then.”
“And no lift tonight?” Kuny asked hopefully.
“Don’t push it.”
“Veto.”
Budding protests froze over in one collective puff of breath.
…the stars are brightly shining…
“What?” Arthur asked at last.
A thrill of hope, the weary world rejoices…
Sirius licked his lips, shifting from one foot to the other. “Veto.”
Arthur opened his mouth.
Closed it.
Every eye in the room was fixed on their captain. He rested his chin on top of his hands, folded on his stick. Lupin’s gaze flickered back and forth.
“But I…” Arthur faltered, gesturing at the schedule.
“I get three.”
“It’s not even 9:30.”
“No questions asked.”
“We have a game.”
“It’s snowing outside.”
“How do you know that?” Arthur asked despairingly.
A grin skipped across his face. “I’m Canadian. I can smell it a mile off.”
“Also, Tremzy texted everyone right before practice,” O’Hara added.
“It’s snowing, have fun at practice, you fucking losers, ha-ha,” Knut recited with a grave nod.
“No, no,” Sirius corrected. “My bones are made of snow and I was born with hockey skates in one hand and a thermometer in the other.”
“That, I believe.”
Arthur waved his hands between them before the already-unbearable situation could get any worse. “Let me just…” His headache was coming back. Going home early was starting to sound less terrible by the minute. “You, as captain, get three vetoes across the span of your contract.”
“Ouais.”
“Which you can use to veto any practice you want, for any reason, with no questions asked by me or other staff.”
“That’s what I signed, yes.”
“And you’re using it on a snow day? With barely two hours left of practice? Before a game and a week off?”
Sirius smiled. “Veto.”
“Lupin.” A last-ditch effort. Perhaps a dirty play, but it was warranted. “Lupin, don’t you have anniversary plans? Birthdays? Anything else he can use this on?”
The captain’s barely-contained mischief was bad enough. Lupin’s mild bemusement was worse. “I’m sorry, Coach, but I can’t question a veto from my captain.”
Arthur scanned the crowd of hopeful faces. Sometime in the last minute and a half, Knut had slipped his phone off the bench and was doing his best to text under Winter’s elbow. Kelly Clarkson sang along to his imminent defeat. He sighed, shook his head, and opened the gate. “I’ll see you tomorrow.”
Nobody moved.
Arthur blinked. “Merry Christmas?”
Not a twitch.
“Ho-ho-ho, get out.”
The dispersal was the most active they had been all day, surging forward in one mass of whooping red and gold. Out of the corner of his eye, Arthur saw Moody turn the music up a notch before hustling back into his office.
The herd had vanished down the tunnel in a matter of seconds. Arthur shook his head, turned his smile toward the empty rink, and pulled out his phone.
--
The locker room was a disaster.
“Don’t pull so hard!” Leo grunted as he fought to wriggle out of his jersey, hopping on one socked foot while Finn tried to help him out of his remaining skate. “I’m gonna fall, I’m gonna fall, Kasey—”
An elbow to the ribs righted him. “Yeah, no, I’m on my way out,” Kasey called over the ruckus, sandwiching his phone between his ear and shoulder. “Yeah, lemme get my shoes on. Al’s driving? Jesus, maybe I’ll just walk.”
“A tie is bad, right? That’s a bad gift?”
“T, I’m sure your dad will love anything you get him.”
“But I got him one for his birthday.”
Remus grimaced for just a moment, but it was enough. Thomas dropped his head into his hands with a groan.
“No, hey, it’s a good gift!” Remus tried, patting his shoulder. “Does he have a lot of ties?”
“He’s more of a sweater guy.”
“T.”
“I know, I know, I know.” Thomas sighed. His head fell back against his stall, then rolled toward Remus as his lip slid out in a pout. “I don’t even know where to start.”
Did Remus have to give him a minute with this one? He was a little afraid he did. “T,” he started. “Your dad likes sweaters.”
“Yeah.”
“So get him sweaters.”
“But what if he doesn’t like them?”
Remus took him by the shoulders and gave him a gentle shake. “He likes you.”
Thomas made a desperate sound and rolled his head the other way, then heaved himself upright. “I need to go outside. The cold clears my mind.”
“Way ahead of you!” Finn shouted over his shoulder, one hand clasped in Leo’s and the other on the doorknob with his skates teetering dangerously over his shoulder.
Leo hoisted their duffel bags, shuffling through the narrow doorframe with all the grace of a newborn giraffe. He gave them one last clumsy wave with a glove half-on. “Lo sends his love, even if he’ll never say it!”
“Yes, I’m coming,” Kasey laughed, presumably still to Natalie. He caught the door with his foot just as it was beginning to close; Remus grabbed the edge of it from him and waved off both his grateful look and mouthed thank you. “Yes, baby,” Kasey repeated. “Usual spot. On my way.”
It was a disaster, and then as fast as they had all tumbled in, everyone flooded out. A few of the newer guys remained, muffled by the hum of the showers. Dumo ruffled up Sirius’ hair as he passed, preoccupied by Celeste’s rapid-fire French on the phone and the hustle of his light jog. Remus was pretty sure he caught some mention of the park; there was one near their house with a pond that froze around this time of year. He was a little surprised Logan wasn’t already staking his claim on it.
Sirius’ arm was around him before he even started to sit. It made for the perfect guide and counterbalance, settling him firmly on a denim-clad thigh with a kiss to seal it in seconds. “Hey,” Sirius mumbled against his shoulder blade.
“Hi, trouble,” Remus laughed.
Sirius hummed, obviously pleased, and gave him a squeeze around the waist. “That felt good.”
“Using your powers for evil?”
“Mhm.” Another pulse, this time with a cheeky pinch to his hip. “And you.”
Remus scoffed, swatting at him, but couldn’t help leaning back into his warmth all the same. He was lucky Sirius couldn’t see the heat of his face, too preoccupied with nuzzling his way across the span of Remus’ back to leave a kiss at the top notch of his spine before burying his nose in the divot below. Odd creature, that one. Remus liked him far too much. “What are you doing?”
“You smell good.”
“I haven’t showered.”
“I noticed.”
Remus bit the inside of his cheek for a moment. He gave the room a cursory glance—the stragglers were just finishing up, too engrossed in whatever wisdom James was bestowing on them to notice the graze of Sirius’ teeth over the arch of his shoulder. “I was thinking,” Remus started, then lowered his voice. “Was thinking we could do it at home instead.”
Sirius’ smile pressed bright and devious to his skin. “Yeah?”
“Mm-hmm.”
“Am I invited?”
“Unless I’ve started using the royal ‘we’,” Remus teased, digging his elbow lightly back into the curve of Sirius’ rib.
His laugh was soft, but the pat to Remus’ outer thigh was perfectly heavy with promise. “Get your bag.”
News of their early departure had obviously reached the ears of the rest of the training staff, because the halls were stark in their emptiness on the way out, after many goodbyes to James and promises of dinner tonight. Remus had been dying for some actual holiday time—he had planned gifts months in advance, dedicated an entire Monday to wrapping, agonized over delivery times and game schedules and delays.
But he was craving the substance of it, the literal meat and potatoes of people coming over to ooh and aah at the ornaments over dinner by the fire. Most of all, he wanted some time that was theirs. A brief moment to enjoy the lights and the smell of fir with just himself, Sirius, and the dog. It had been…three weeks? More? Since they put the wreaths and boughs up around the house. He was pretty sure that was the last time they had been able to do holiday things that didn’t involve obviously sneaking off to get gifts for each other.
Sirius seemed to feel the same. They had hardly made it past the PT room before he was pulled into an empty hallway for a kiss that melted in his mouth like butterscotch. He hummed, pushing into it, but Sirius just took him by the hips and pressed him back against the wall. Okayokayokayokayokay came the giddy whirl of the end of his thoughts.
“This.” Sirius’ mouth moved against his jaw, threatening a mark above his pulse point. “This is what I was after.”
“Cancelling practice just to kiss me,” Remus said, breathless already. His throat caught at a flash of teeth under his ear. “So irresponsible.”
Sirius’ eyes were bright and playful. “And I’d do it again.”
They got away with another minute—or five—before footsteps sounded down the other hall. Remus took him by the hand and pulled him toward the parking lot at a brisk, tumbling clip, sneakers pattering on the floors Filch was waiting to wax until they were all gone for the break. Hooligans, he called them. It echoed in Remus’ head as he kissed Sirius stupid in the hall beside the display cases. If only he could see them now.
The air bit his face as soon as they stepped outside, hot and kiss-fresh. Remus could hear voices around the corner but Sirius’ hand was sliding ever-lower and he just—“There’s people!” he hissed, fighting his grin with a blind bat backwards.
Sirius was too fast. A firm grab made him hoot, startling a laugh from both of them. “The entire world has seen us making out in a car, loup,” he snorted. “I think that’s worse.”
It was only the Cubs, after all, and half a snowman wearing a disjointed collection of gear. Leo’s oh-so-subtle text must have done the trick to summon Logan out of his holiday relaxation. He had only flown in that morning after the Rangers’ last game, but he seemed plenty awake despite the journey.
“You’re making me cold just looking at you,” he argued, adjusting his beanie over Leo’s ears while Finn finished rolling the head beside them. “You’ve lived here for years, and still you forget a hat?”
“Merci, baby.” Leo tried to sound begrudging while he obediently bent to let Logan work, but it only came off as fond. Remus could relate.
“And Fish just lets you walk out of the house like this. Unbelievable. It’s snowing.”
“It wasn’t snowing when we left,” Leo pointed out. “I seem to remember a ha-ha, losers text informing us of the change.”
Logan’s tsk was sharp as black ice while he tenderly tucked Leo’s curls under the hat’s knitted edge and kissed each of his cheeks. “Completely frozen over,” he informed Leo. “You’re welcome.”
“Now you’re going to get cold.”
Whatever disbelieving expression Logan made was lost to Remus as Sirius ushered him around the back of the car, but his scoff was plenty audible. “I’m Canadian. I don’t get cold.”
Sirius’ forehead hit the steering wheel the moment their doors closed. “I want to be home,” he complained.
“You’re in the right place to get there.”
“I don’t want to drive.”
“I can do it.”
A pathetic sigh heaved his back and shoulders. “I don’t want to wait fifteen minutes.”
Remus tugged on the back of his hat. “Not that I’ll ever say no to a little New Year’s action, but I feel like we just covered why that’s not a great idea in broad daylight.”
Sirius groaned, grumbled, and turned the car on.
Between salt and the morning commute, the roads were mostly clear. The familiar crunch of snow under tires pulled half of Remus’ brain from the rink; the other half followed at a sluggish pace, coaxed away by radio carols and the mindless chatter the two of them somehow managed in spite of spending eighty percent of their time together. The window was cold on the side of his head. Remus never liked freezing, but there was something about a snow day that always felt like home.
The house lights cast red and green glimmers over Sirius when they pulled in. They were working on getting decorations he liked; things he actually wanted, not just what Instagram said he should use. It wasn’t a lot yet, but it was a start. The icicle lights above the door had been a particularly good find.
They were greeted by a loud bark and the scrabble of paws. Hattie careened around the corner from the living room (she had taken to dozing under the tree) and spun herself at their feet in a few tight circles for maximum petting efficiency.
“We’re home so early!” Sirius cooed, gathering her wiggly body up in his lap like she was still tiny. “Oh, you’re so excited. Did we surprise you?”
“We were so mean to poor Coach,” Remus agreed as he dodged her lolling tongue. “Yes, baby, so mean, but now we’ll be home all day.”
Hattie keened and whined and nibbled on everything in reach for a tolerable thirty seconds, then launched herself out of Sirius’ lap and made a beeline for her toy box. She had hardly made it halfway to them when a cardinal flitted past outside—her ears spiked up, body puffing on a low bwoof. Remus barely got the screen door open before she was off like a bird-seeking missile, cutting through the snow in leaps and bounds.
They dumped their gear in the mudroom, made a snack, planned lunch, played with the dog, dried the dog, cleaned her paws, and finally—finally—they were standing in the same room, with nothing to do for another hour at least.
“Hi,” Remus said, heart kicking.
Sirius smiled. “Hello.”
Hattie’s teeth squealed on her peanut-butter-filled toy.
They wasted no time for foolishness on the stairs. A sweater on the ribbon-wrapped banister; socks in the hall. Sirius’ pants didn’t even make it across the bathroom threshold, belt clattering on the floor. Remus turned the shower on with his eyes closed because he quite simply could not be bothered to spare more than one hand.
“C’mere,” he murmured into Sirius’ mouth, even as he stepped backward under the spray. “C’mere, don’t move.”
Sirius’ response was wordless and perfect.
Steam built around them, chasing off the chill. The house was decorated. The presents were wrapped. Meals were planned, the dog was busy, and Remus was tired but he was so, so awake now, with ink-black hair wound around his fingers and a boy that held him so the hot water never left him.
Sirius rested his head on Remus’ shoulder and went lax at the drag of a soapy hand over his back. “So good.” His mouth rested at the curve of Remus’ jaw. Every word cooled his skin. “So good to me.”
“Doing my best,” Remus joked with a scritch to his nape.
Sirius raised his head, blinking sleepily around the water that spilled down his face. “I don’t remember the last time I wasn’t scrambling for gifts this time of year.”
“I do.”
“Mm?”
“Last year.” Remus smudged a few soap bubbles down the bridge of his nose. “Shopping for you.”
Sirius’ forehead wrinkled. “Me?”
“I was being cranky,” Remus assured him, running his thumbs over Sirius’ collarbones. He didn’t have a lot of soap left, but he would be shameless and greedy about touching like this. “Lily knocked some sense into me.”
“She’s good at that.”
“The best.”
“And she’s lucky to have you.” A kiss pushed the side of his hair into a cowlick; Sirius grinned as he smoothed it down with one hand. “Trop mignon.”
Hot hot hot hot hot. Remus wrapped both arms around his waist and sank his teeth into the knot of soft muscle above Sirius’ heart. Sirius’ laugh jostled him, but that was fine. He was used to it. “I love the holidays with you.” One last little kiss to his neck, to the spot he had bitten the other night and made Sirius’ leg tremble. “I love you.”
“I’m going to veto every single practice forever.”
“No,” Remus laughed, swaying them back and forth. He covered Sirius’ wicked smile with his hand and kissed the back of it. “No, non, not allowed.”
“But I get kisses and showers and I love you’s and dinner—” His hands skimmed up and down Remus’ sides, running over wet skin with the expertise of someone who knew all his soft spots. “—and you bite me and our dog loves us and we get to see James and Lily tonight—”
Remus cut him off with his lips this time. “Your perfect day,” he whispered, though it was just them in the house. “Sounds pretty close to mine.”
“Copycat.”
“Maybe we should just stick together,” Remus offered. Sirius’ fingertips found his own, lacing together all too easily. “For maximum perfect-day concentration, you know.”
“Nothing else, of course,” Sirius agreed.
“Oh, nothing.”
“Hey.”
“Hi.”
“I put mistletoe above our bedroom door when we were decorating.”
“Amateur. I put it on the ceiling above our bed.”

Just Need a Quiet Place: C.J
SMUT | 18+ | MDNI
->Starring: Rockstar!JonghoXafab!Reader
->Genre: Smut, some angst
->Cw: Explicit language, dick riding, little talks of anxiety, pervert Jongho, spanking, degradation
Masterlist | Ateez Masterlist | Rock Never Dies Masterlist
You were definitely not the partying type, but somehow, your best friend managed to drag you to a house party that was being thrown by the guy she was talking to. Apparently, he's in a band, and they were celebrating their first album release. You weaved your way through the crowded house trying to find a quiet place to just sit, your friend ditched you a while ago when she saw her man. You look around at all the people around you feeling suffocated. You push your way through people trying to get to the back door. The feeling of your heart beating faster and your breaths coming out as pants made your head feel fuzzy.
Suddenly you feel yourself run into another person “Sorry" you mumble "It's fine. Are you okay?" You look up and see Jongho, one of Yeosang’s bandmates. You’ve only met him once when your best friend was introducing you to the band but right now you were happy to see a somewhat familiar face “I just want to f-find a quieter place” you stutter, heart still racing. He nods understandingly “Ah I see. If you want you can chill in my room. I was just about to escape there myself” he offers nodding towards the stairs.
You’re hesitant, you really don’t know Jongho but at the same time you really really wanted to get away. He seemed to notice your hesitation “It’s fine if you don’t want to” he shrugs nonchalantly but honestly, deep down, he wanted you to say yes. He wanted you to come up with him, he wanted to get to know you more. Since the first time he met you, he felt drawn to you. He wanted to know your likes, dislikes, what your skin felt like against his. "It's honestly better than being down here"
Jongho takes you up to his room, the loud sounds from downstairs muffling as he closes the door. You look around his room noticing how tidy it is. Various paintings and art supplies are scattered around the corner across from the door. His walls are a dark shade of red and his furniture is black, it really didn't surprise you. You walk over looking at the paintings up close "These are beautiful" You turn around to face him "I'm glad you like them" he says closing the door.
He watches as you shift uncomfortably, trying to pull your mini skirt, that your friend forced you to wear, down "Do you want some sweatpants?" You shake your head at his question "No no it's okay" "Are you sure? I don't mind. You might be more comfortable though" he says gesturing to your outfit. You pause before saying yes, not wanting to seem too eager to wear his clothes. He walks over to his dresser trying to keep his calm exterior, the thought of you wearing his clothes had his palms sweaty. He hands you a pair of sweatpants and a plain black T-shirt "Here, they might be a little big on you" You take them, thanking him quietly.
You stare at him for a moment, waiting for him to turn around and he just simply stares back "Are you um... gonna turn around or are you gonna watch me change" You give him a skeptical look "Oh! Right right sorry" he apologies before turning back around, facing his dresser. He nearly chokes on his spit when he sees your reflection in his tv. He knows he shouldn’t look but it was just too tempting “Okay you can turn around” and to think you couldn’t look any better. The way you looked so small in his clothes sent a jolt through him “Better?” He asks swallowing the lump in his throat. You nod, shuffling your feet awkwardly “Do you want to watch something?” He asks, motioning you to sit on the bed “Um sure, whatever you wanna watch is fine” you reply as you walk over and sit next to him.
Jongho chooses some random movie, not bothering to look at the title “So how long have you known (f/n)?” He asks as he looks over at you “For almost 10 years. We met in middle school and have been best friends ever since” he nods “Wow, that’s cool though. Her and Yeosang seem to really like each other” he says, he honestly doesn’t care about that right now not when you’re sitting so pretty on his bed in his clothes. His shirt absolutely drowning you but you pull it off so well and he can’t help but wonder what’s hiding underneath. God and don’t get him started on the sweatpants.
He can feel his breaths getting heavy and he knows he’s staring too hard “Jongho?” You wave a hand in front of his face “I’m sorry, what?” He didn’t realize he zoned out “You kinda spaced out on me there” you let a little chuckle “Sorry. You just look so good wearing my clothes” his mouth moves before his brain could stop him and look of surprise etches onto your face. Soon you’re flushed a deep shade of crimson. Usually a situation like this would make you feel so uncomfortable but there’s something about Jongho that leaves you feeling needy. His intense face has you squirming in your spot.
You’re not sure how you got into this position but you straddle his waist, trapping him between your thighs “You know this isn’t why I brought you up here right?” Lies. You shrug leaning down and pressing your lips onto his, grinding against him. His hands grip your hips guiding you back and forth on his hardening length. Your little moans are muffled by the kiss. “Need you so bad Jongho. Please” you mumble against his lips “Please what?” “Please fuck me” you hear him groan, his grip tightening “Take these off” he says pulling at the waistband of his sweat pants. You quickly rid yourself of the grey fabric and he nearly cums at the fact that you’re not wearing any panties. He pulls his own pants down enough for his cock to spring out and your eyes widen at his size.
You climb back onto his lap gripping his length and position your hips so his tip is just barely kissing your entrance “Wait” he stops you before you sink down. He reaches over into his nightstand and pulls out a condom “Just to be safe” he says before ripping it open and sliding it onto his cock. You finally sink down onto him, his girth stretching you as you inch your way down. His head falls back onto the mattress, your walls hugging so tightly. You move your hips slightly, moaning at the feeling of his hard cock dragging against your walls “Come on baby. You can go faster right?”
He stares lazily up as you continue to bounce. Your thighs start to burn and you were getting tired but Jongho wasn’t going to let you stop anytime soon “Come on princess. If you want to stay in here you have to make yourself cum” you whine trying to keep your pace but it was hard and he was absolutely no help at all "Please Jongho, s'too hard" you beg feeling exhaustion wash over you "You're tired already? But you just started" His tone slightly wavers when he feels you clench around him. He watches your tits bounce as you miserably attempt to quicken your pace. His hand comes down smacking your ass causing you to flinch and grind hard against him. "Oh you like that?" He asks smacking your ass again “Yes yes, fuck I love it” you whine and you feel your thigh shake.
Your hands rest on his chest as you lean forward opting to just grind against him, too tired to bounce anymore. "Oh what's wrong?" He teases seeing your tired state “Jongho please. I c-can’t” You cry feeling exhausted and frustrated. He can't help but coo at the pretty tears falling from your eyes " he grabs your hips tight and starts to thrust "Oh fuck yes Jongho. That feels so good" you scream, very thankful for the loud thumping music downstairs. "Oh shit m'close" his eyes scrunch shut and his head falls back as he shoots into the condom. Your heavy pants are the only thing that can be heard. You lean your body against him, too tired to sit up “We should definitely do that again sometime” he says breathless and you can’t help but agree.

Alright time for the absolute shittiest take I stand by, get the carnival tents and the clown makeup
Humans don’t need to be in wings of fire, they were only added to capitalize off of the dragon rider crowd
They genuinely do not need to be there, they add nothing to the story apart from killing a queen once. They are so useless and every time they are brought up in the books it makes me cope.
You can replace the “Scavenger” that killed the og gangster queen with literally any other animal and it would have the same impact. Oh wow one can speak dragon, I literally do not care these guys will eat you.
They’re only here for the hype of HTTYD and imagining yourself meeting your favorites as a scavenger who somehow can speak the native tongue of giant screeching lizards.
They have no impact to the story at all and I’m tired of seeing them brought up as well. The size issue is also a factor in my scavenger hate because why is everything else huge and not the humans. It’s just so you can imagine yourself becoming friends with your favs and riding giant ass dragons.
I will stand by this take only on anon until I die, scavengers are cheap fan fodder and I want to hear other’s opinions on this topic,
Thank you.

CHAPTER THREE PT. II: DIMINISHED CAPACITY ❀ HIGURUMA SENSEI SERIES
masterlist link | mdni! | oopsie, is that... a special banner? gee I wonder if there's something to see at the end of this chapter, huh?
❀ diminished capacity.
Diminished capacity refers to an individual’s impossibility to form the intent necessary for committing any criminal act, because their capacity to fully comprehend the nature of their actions is impaired. It doesn’t, however, completely exclude their responsibility, and they may be held accountable to a lesser offense.
wc: 5.5K ❀ pairing for the series: professor!higuruma x student!reader
❀ tags and c/w.
non-curse au. college au. slow-burn romcom. professor and college student pre-relationship. internship interviews suck. nobara likes to steal food from people. mentions of hypothetical violent crime. nanami gets pestered by gojo even here. higuruma likes sunflowers. nanami has a sixth sense.
❀ notes etc.
Apologies to any colleagues reading the word “evidence” in place of “proof” and feeling like tackling me with a broom, lol. Also, a huge thanks to everyone who came around for part one, I hope you guys get to enjoy reading this just as much I enjoyed writing it.
Argh… Monday.
Internship hunt was hell. There was no other way to spin that wheel. You knew it’d be incredibly hard, but not this hard.
Mondays were cursed days, but to know that not only cursed, they’d also start with terrible interviews — plural — was not in your bingo card for this week. Between oh, you just started criminal law I this semester? and we will let you know laid the crumbling sounds of your utmost despair of knowing full well you were in for a ride for those next few days.
Well, if only daydreaming about him could save you.
It didn’t, though.
Unfortunately.
You arrived at the campus cafeteria where you were supposed to meet Nobara. Even on a fairly uncomfortable chair, she slouched nearly enough to slide down onto the ground like a rag doll, and it didn’t take you much to realize these past few days were throwing her through the wringer too.
“You look like death,” you joked as you pulled your chair to sit with her, putting your tuna sandwich and can of soda over the table.
“And you look like… like… hmph,” she scoffed while rolling her eyes and propping herself back up again.
“No snarky comeback? Are you that tired?”
“Leave me alone,” she replied, and apparently, she really wasn’t in the mood for playful banter. You took a bite out of your sandwich, pondering if you should ask her about it, but she beat you to it. “Why is getting internships this early in college is so damn hard?”
“Apparently, places don’t trust complete newbies or youngsters,” you noted, “and they want someone who has already studied all the necessary subjects prior to hiring. Also, people with prior experience are preferred.”
“Yet these are internship opportunities! Aren’t interns supposed to be newbies who are going to learn from the experience they’ll get through the internship?” Nobara irritatedly inquired, her implied commentary more a complaint than a question. You nodded.
“Absolutely. It makes no sense, it’s like they’re just trying to hire a junior lawyer with less rights and a lower pay rate,” you churned out through your mouthful of tuna and mayonnaise, “now that I think about it, it’s probably that, actually.”
“I can’t go back home! I mean, I made it all the way here. If I had to go back I would never get over this. I need some money, and I need some money soon, otherwise this will all just have been a waste of my time. I should just get a part time job already instead of insisting in starting my internship as fast as possible.”
Nobara covered her face, and she sounded genuinely upset. You paused your munching for a bit, and after washing it all down with a few gulps of soda, you leaned towards her, pulling her hands from her face.
“Hey, Nobara, we’re not letting that happen, okay? Neither me, Maki, Yuuji or Megumi.” you offered in an attempt to comfort her. She let you peel her palms away, and gazed at you in a mixture of frustration and anger, which softly subsided after your comment. You decided to push your luck, just a bit. “We can refugee you in Megumi’s car. We’ll get you a hammer so you can hit passerbies for shits and giggles to let some collegiate steam out.”
Consternated, she shook your hands off of her while you chuckled. She made her best effort to still look pissed, but you noticed a tiny smile forming on the edges of her mouth.
“That’s a shit plan, but I’ll take you up on that hammer offer,” she said, and you smiled at her, a gesture she finally reciprocated.
“I’d expect no less from you. So, tell me, in which area are you looking for internships? Fashion law?”
“Nope, entertainment.” Nobara picked your half eaten sandwich in her hands and took a bite before you could protest. “Maki had told me it was easier to get internships in entertainment law to garner some experience for a future in fashion law, but honestly? I’m skeptical now.”
“There might be some openings soon. Have you tried Professor Gojo’s firm? It’s the same as Professor Nanami’s, isn’t it? I mean, that giant firm with dozens of departments and that nearly every teacher at our college seems to work for.” You stretched your hand to get your sandwich back, but she slapped you away. “Hey!”
“I need it more than you, I’m sad!”
“I’m sad too! I had four terrible internship interviews today, give it back!”
You both entered a silly slapping match, and the few people walking past the table would look away nervously in fear of getting dragged into the middle of whatever war was going on over a cheap cafeteria tuna sandwich.
“You were having interviews today too?! How come you never told me?! I’m gonna eat your food for not telling me stuff, you’ve been weird ever since that party that you went off for a smoke and dipped!” She took another humongous bite and you jumped over the table, finally snatching whatever remained of your food out of her hands.
“I haven’t been weird!” you had, “and yes, I did. I am interviewing for internship openings in criminal law, but… well, you’ve been through that these days yourself. You know the drill.”
She grunted with tuna smeared around her mouth, trying to reach for the rest of your sandwich, and it was your turn to slap her.
“Stop it, Nobara. Quit being so stingy and buy one for yourself!”
“Not when I can eat your food for free,” she joked while taking a big gulp from your soda can, and you sighed, which only gave her a shit eating grin. “Did you interview for that spot they announced today?”
“What? What opening?”
“I just saw it, there was a new flyer on the main hall board. It’s an internship for criminal law, apparently under the guidance of Professor Geto,” Nobara said while shrugging. “Apparently the huge firm now has a criminal law department too. It was announced last week or so.”
“Did it say up until when they were taking applications?”
***
Each and every tendon in your body tensed as you sat with the perfect lady-like crossed ankles at the 45º angle under your second-hand suit. The meeting room was, for the lack of a better word, mighty, having an entire glass wall peering into the rest of the office, and towered over you high enough to have you feeling like a tiny speck of dust humbly drifting its way over the clearly expensive brown, leather couch. A few people walked by as you waited, and the mahogany table seemed big enough to fit three people. It was probably worth your entire year’s tuition, and you wondered if the ceiling height really needed to be tailored for elves. Or ents. Tree people, perhaps.
The firm’s name hung high right in front of you, the logo and letters made out of stainless steel illuminated by LEDs behind it. Opulence wasn’t a big enough word to describe that pompous display of corporate wealth.
You were fished out of your rags to riches daydreams by the pivoting door opening, figuring it was your interviewer for the position.
Surprisingly, it wasn’t the already well-known foxy-eyed, long haired Professor to come in, but a much more stoic individual with the polar opposite for a hair, not only in length but in color too. You already knew him from afar, as your commercial law Professor. He carried himself in a dignified manner, and upon further inspection, not only was his navy blue suit absolutely pristine, he also didn’t have a single hair strand out of place. You got up to greet him, bowing respectfully, and he returned the gesture.
“Good afternoon, Mrs.,” he said as he sat down on his chair across from you, “my name is Nanami Kento and I’ll be responsible for your interview today.”
You introduced yourself, and remarked, “apologies, but I thought Prof- I mean, Mr. Geto would be the one responsible for this interview today.”
“As it stands currently, the criminal law department is my responsibility,” Nanami clarified, “so I decided I’d be the one responsible for interviewing our future team. I currently work in our corporate law department.”
You acquiesced with a professional smile. Something about how every tiny detail in him was on point gave you enough leads to conclude that of course this man took it upon himself to be the one responsible for the interviews.
“I’ve read in your resume that you are currently undertaking criminal law I and criminal procedure law I,” Nanami said as he held your resume in his hand, glancing at you and then at the paper, “which isn’t ideal for an intern entering a newly built department.”
Harsh enough?
You readjusted yourself on your chair before speaking.
“Yes, I am.”
He hummed quietly and pulled another paper sheet from his briefcase, and even if his facial expression was perfectly collected, something about how the edges of his lips curled gave away that he was less than happy about whatever was written on it.
“Our HR insisted I should bring this questionnaire with me today, so that I could ask you this list of questions as part of our interview,” he stated, his words followed by a quiet sigh. Nanami then proceeded to tilt the paper towards him and took a moment before proceeding. “Tell me more about yourself in three… captivating anecdotes.”
His voice sounded robotic, as if he was feigning not to loathe the question at hand, and deep down, you did find it amusing. Not enough to distract yourself from the fact that you were usually horrible at interviews altogether, though.
“I’m currently in my late twenties. I started law school last year, and worked during my early twenties to save money for tuition. I’m really passionate about criminal law, that is why I applied.”
Oh, God. What was that?
Well, you sounded robotic too, listing off obvious factualities as if providing a recipe’s ingredients. Both of you stared at each other in silence, wondering if that was what this question was supposed to infer, and it took the two of you so long to speak up again that it became uncomfortable.
Clearing his throat, Nanami unconsciously loosened his tie — barely — before continuing.
Well, at least I’m not the only one who’s uncomfortable.
“What…” he paused for a moment, and seemed to be biting down a discontented sigh, “animal would you be?” His gaze quickly darted down the sheet of paper, and his displeasure was palpable. For someone with such a straight face, his eyes were very telling.
What are these questions? Are we a hip tech company? Nanami thought to himself, wondering if he should make a new list to leave at HR. He was quick to discard the thought once he realized that meant he’d be telling other people how to do their jobs, something he did enough of already.
You didn’t quite know what the hell to answer.
“I… don’t know? I haven’t really thought about that in my life? A cat, perhaps?”
“I haven’t thought about that either, don’t worry, that’s unimportant. Let’s move on to the next question. How…” Nanami lifted an eyebrow, and that alone was enough to tell he was absolutely consternated, “many basketballs can fit inside a bus?”
“… Huh?”
Is this serious?
“I apologize, I believe there must have been some sort of mix-up at the HR, let me…”
Nanami was interrupted by three knocks on the glass wall. You both turned your heads to see Professor Gojo pointing at something — the paper Nanami held in his hands — while subsequently making a thumbs up, a wide grin smeared all over his face.
Without uttering a word nor missing a beat, Nanami got up, walked towards the glass and pulled on something you hadn’t yet noticed. Immediately, blinds slowly descended in front of the glass wall, and Nanami calmly walked his way back to his chair as Gojo’s face tried to keep peering inside the meeting room, descending alongside the rim of the blinds. He kept plastering his hands over the glass like a mimic.
A faint pained moan and a thud echoed once the blinds were about a foot away from reaching the floor.
“Is everything okay?” you inquired, pointing at Gojo’s direction.
“Ignore that.”
That wasn’t a request. You nodded.
“Yes, sir.”
“Perfect. Let’s also ignore this for a while,” Nanami remarked while putting the sheet of questions aside with his fingertips as if it was radioactive. “Let’s try something else.”
Nanami had this feeling — a familiar one — that he’d be able to pry from you what he needed to know if he went about this interview in a more practical fashion. It reminded him of someone, but he couldn’t quite put his finger on it.
“I’m going to describe a hypothetical scenario, and I want you to debate it with me,” he stated.
“Okay.”
“A client comes to this office being investigated of homicide and he wants to hire the firm to represent them in Court. They intend to plead not guilty.” you nodded, and Nanami continued, “The victim was shot, but there was no gun to be found in the crime scene. However, the client was the only person in the vicinity apart from the victim’s body. The client’s clothes — a long sleeved shirt and jeans — are evidence that has been collected at the crime scene, but no forensics were requested for it by the prosecution. When questioned in their first meeting, the client is adamant that they did not commit the crime. The attorney needs to decide which path to take regarding evidence they’ll request or submit. Now, I ask you, which type of evidence would the attorney request if the client is truly innocent?”
You took a deep breath while mentally going over the hypothetical scenario Nanami had just relayed, and considering all he mentioned, there was only one possibility.
“If my client was truly innocent, I’d ask for forensic evidence on their clothes. Guns leave gunpowder vestiges on things like clothes, so if this person didn’t actually pull the trigger, there should be no gunpowder on their sleeves.”
Nanami acquiesced, but remained silent.
Ok, this is not the only thing he wants to know.
“Also… I’d tell exactly that to the client.”
Nanami’s face remained completely expressionless, but something about how he tilted his head less than an inch gave you the feeling that he seemed pleased with your answer.
“And why would you do that?”
“We need to work with accurate information. If the client was lying, and we submitted a request for that evidence — forensics on their clothes — we’d be tanking their defense. They need to know what we’ll be submitting as evidence and why. I believe telling that to our client would be enough to sway them into telling us the truth,” you sighed, before concluding, “people lie. Even when they shouldn’t.”
Nanami silently picked your resume back into his hands, and seemed to scan it quickly with his eyes. You knew your chances were slim, considering you had just started Criminal Law that very semester, something he didn’t fail to notice.
After a minute, he spoke again.
“Would you be willing to use some of your spare time to study topics you might not have seen yet in criminal law?”
“Yes.”
Your heart was thumping in your chest. This was it.
Here goes nothing.
“Then, it’s settled. Can you start on Monday?”
***
This wasn’t Higuruma’s usual go-to wish when he found himself behind the Passo’s wheel, but truth of the matter was, he hoped more than anything for his car to breakdown before he got to his destination. It wasn’t something completely out of the question considering his car’s track record, but as if some destiny’s mockery had been bestowed upon him that morning, even the clack-clack-clacks he was already used to hear for the past three months were gone. As Murphy’s Law would have it, the Passo glided over the asphalt like butter.
“Of course you won’t fail me when I need you to, you unreliable piece of-”he muttered to himself under a discontented huff.
Put upon wasn’t strong enough to convey how Higuruma was feeling, his knuckle-white grip around the steering wheel being enough to give him a sharp pain in his palms that would surely follow him for the next few hours. In a sense, he had been knuckle-white tense ever since that morning, thinking about this endeavor he was kicking himself to push through. It was the nth time he’d tried to make that visit over the past year, one that he dreaded with each and every fiber of his being.
The Professor eyed his passenger’s seat for a second, his gaze lingering on the plastic bag he carried with him that day. Inside, there were a bottle of Kirin, an incense, and a single sunflower. The flower was definitely too long to fit properly inside the bag, and it’s head peeped though the opening, yellow petals flickering while the car moved, every ridge on the road seemingly making it jump further and further out of its container.
With one hand on the wheel, and the other reaching out, he tried shoving the sunflower back into the bag, and in between eyeing the bag, then the road, picking the flower, pushing it, the bag sliding off the seat, loud news coming on the radio, Higuruma getting startled, his glasses slipping down his nose bridge, him pushing them back in place with his shoulder, tires screeching, a car horn, his heart pounding and his ears ringing, Higuruma came to the sensible conclusion that he should, as any responsible adult would, take a break.
I need a smoke.
Who he was visiting was definitely not going anywhere.
Checking where he was, Higuruma noticed a cafe nearby, and as fate would have it, there was a single parking spot right in front of it. He maneuvered the Passo, and the car fit neatly in between the white lines. Higuruma pulled his sunflower shawl — this time, not caught under any death trap, but laid over his back seat alongside your scarf —, threw it around his neck and got out. He took a moment to stretch his fingers in the cold air, his breath clouding in front of his mouth, and tapped around his coat to take his wallet, finally inserting some coins into the park meter and crossing the guardrail by the sidewalk.
He’d have exactly thirty minutes to get his shit together.
The cafe was warm, inviting, and strangely familiar, its orange light almost emanating the smell of coffee beans, croissants and decadent redemption for weary travelers. The store front had a glass display through which he saw an assortment of sweet and salty baked goods. Higuruma would probably pick one of those to eat — the greasiest one, if possible —, had he not been carrying a rock in place of his stomach for the past few hours.
With his resolution waning, he mindlessly took a step back while peeping, and sighed, his tired sigh weighing on his body deciding for him that an espresso was probably the way to go.
Stepping inside, Higuruma paid no mind to whatever was around him, and waited for his turn in line to order his drink. Across from him, you nearly choked, half a donut shoved into your powdered-sugar smeared mouth, nearly spilling your own coffee over your second-hand suit.
After your interview, you thought it’d be a good idea to have a snack, and made your way inside the closest, warmest, coziest cafe you found, which was across the firm.
At that moment, you found yourself in a cliché adult life predicament — you just saw someone you knew, but they didn’t see you. Should you go over to greet them? Should you not? Would simply leaving be rude? Should you go actually talk to the man you definitely had — and shouldn’t have — a crush on?
You clutched your coffee harder as the thoughts flew around in your mind, as second nature at this point to avoid giving him another beverage shower.
After some quick consideration, you decided you would at least say hello, after all, it was the polite thing to do. You shoved the rest of your food into your mouth, washed it all down with the rest of your coffee, haphazardly cleaned around your mouth with a napkin and slowly walked towards him, stopping a few feet away. Somehow, he still hadn’t seen you, apparently too immersed in thought.
That was when you noticed a shawl around his neck.
It was pretty damn ugly.
“Professor, hi!” you greeted, and Higuruma got yanked out of whatever daydreams — or waking nightmares — he had been simmering in while waiting in line.
“Oh, hello. I didn’t expect to meet anyone here,” Higuruma replied, “I just stopped by for a snack.”
“Oh, nice. Their coffee is pretty good,” you said, “I got the espresso.”
“And… I hope that you’re finished already? With your coffee, I mean.” he asked while checking your hands, his usually unaffected tone slightly playful, earning him a chuckle from you.
“Rest assured, I’m not assaulting you nor your ugly shawl with my coffee,” you quipped, but his eyes only widened. His owlish eyes blinked once, and then twice, in absolute silence.
That was when you realized.
Oh. I said that out loud.
“I-I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to-”
“Awfully hypocritical of both of us, huh?” he noted, with a discreet smile pulling on his lips.
Relieved, realizing he hadn’t taken offense, you sheepishly returned his smile, “I guess so. I don’t think I’ll get to keep being hypocritical about our ugly scarfs, though. I can’t seem to find mine, it’s been gone ever since that party.”
It was like a light bulb went on in Higuruma’s mind, and he cleared his throat before saying, “well, I may just prove you wrong. Follow me.”
Not fully understanding what he meant by that, you stood by him while he paid for his coffee, got it and walked outside. The cold winter breeze prickled your cheeks and your uncovered neck like hair-thin razor blades, and you followed Higuruma towards a car that wasn’t all that strange to you. Upon further inspection, you noticed that it was indeed his car, the old navy blue beat up thing you used as a shield for the wind during that night when you tried and failed at least half a dozen times to light a cigarette.
And then met him, and gave him a vodka scare.
And helped patting him dry with your-
“Here,” he called out, opening the door to the back seat. Sure enough, you saw that red, frizzly old thing tangled up in a ball.
“My scarf!” you reached inside and took it out, instantly throwing it around your neck. Higuruma noticed how you were genuinely pleased to have finally found it, and thought to himself that he’d most likely feel the same way if he ever lost and found his beat up, old shawl.
It was just one of those things imbued with a sense of history and familiarity that only beat up, old tokens from days past had.
“Thank you,” you whispered, while sliding your fingers through the worn out cotton. “It was a gift. I might complain about it more often than not, but-”
“But it’s an important part of your life,” he replied, and you both glanced at each other while you nodded.
“Yes. Something like that. It’s my favorite curse to carry around while complaining about it, you know?” you mused, adjusting it around your neck and gratefully welcoming the warmth it brought around your neck.
“I think I do,” he answered finally, taking a sip from his coffee.
“Let me repay you,” you offered. “Can I offer you a snack, or anything? Perhaps a smoke?”
“I’ll take you up on that cigarette offer,” he replied, and you pulled your pack out of your coat. Giving it a few taps, a cigarette popped up, and you took it in your lips, pulling another one and handing it to him.
Against his better judgement, Higuruma was slightly disappointed, and for a second, felt like kicking himself over it.
Idiot, you can’t seriously be expecting her to light a cigarette for me every time she offers you a smoke. Actually, I shouldn’t expect that at all.
Against his will, Higuruma felt his cheeks warming up, and he tried his best to dive his face into his shawl while politely took the cigarette off your hands. You didn’t notice his moves and offered him your lighter — the same yellow, disposable one he had given you days ago. He picked it up, lit his cigarette and returned it.
“I see you still have it,” Higuruma noted, smiling gently, and you acquiesced.
“It has been my faithful companion for these past few weeks. I’m just glad I haven’t lost it like I lost my scarf,” you said before chuckling.
Higuruma leaned over the guardrail with his elbows, finally relaxing after… God knows how long. Slowly, he seemed to be getting lost in thought, and you seized the opportunity to better look at his shawl. It had a sunflower pattern that went in a straight line right in front of it.
Still looking around as he stewed in his silent contemplations, you noticed there was a bag laying on top of his passenger’s seat. Peeping through it, stood a single sunflower, and what seemed to be the top of a Kirin bottle.
A sunflower man, hm?
The thought amused you as the corners of your mouth perked up in a gleeful smile, but you were quickly pulled out from it.
“Do you work nearby?” he asked, while taking a drag from his cigarette. “This is far from campus.”
“No. I mean, not yet. I was just… chasing my dreams,” you remarked, puffing some smoke. “What about you, Professor?”
Higuruma chuckled softly.
“I was being haunted by mine.”
You must’ve looked puzzled, because he quickly amended, “I was just on my way to visit someone and took a break for some coffee, that’s all.”
“Oh, I see,” you replied, realizing you were probably getting in his way. “I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to keep you from your appointment. I-”
“It’s okay, there’s no one waiting for me. Or so I like to think.”
That comment left you with more questions than answers.
“Apologies. I don’t mean to keep you from going about the rest of your day too,” he bid behind a curtain of smoke, “and thank you for the cigarette. I really needed it.”
With your final puffs, you put your cigarette out and smiled at Higuruma.
“It’s okay, Professor. I should really get going, though. We are, indeed, far from campus and I’d like to get to my dorm before it’s dark.”
With a bow, you walked away, leaving Higuruma to his own devices. He sighed, alone with himself and his thoughts once again, turning his attention once more to the bag he had inside his car.
“Hiromi,” a familiar voice called out. Higuruma turned around, only to be met by Nanami, who had a indecipherable expression on his face.
Minutes before, Nanami decided to visit the nearby cafe and check if they had his favorite casse croûte that day. He wouldn’t mind getting a croissant, though.
Upon stepping outside his building with dreams of pastries swirling around his overworked mind, he noticed you and Higuruma outside the cafe, and figured that was the perfect opportunity to approach you both and introduce you as the new intern for the criminal law department. It was just a matter of time before Higuruma accepted his offer, as Nanami thought, and you’d be both working together. However, before he could, Nanami noticed you and Higuruma were chatting, and not only that, but you approached Higuruma’s car and got something — apparently belonging to you — from his back seat. The ugliest red scarf Nanami had ever seen.
… What?
Nanami then remembered that you were a student on the very same university he tended to.
The same one in which Higuruma was a teacher too.
Why does Hiromi have things belonging to a student in the backseat of his car, of all places?
Nanami was at a loss for words, and faltered for a few moments, wondering how he should ask Hiromi about this. That is, if he even should ask Hiromi about anything at all. Nanami decided to watch from afar, and something about the way Higuruma was carrying himself bothered Nanami.
He had only seen his best friend behaving like that in very specific scenarios, ones in which Hiromi definitely shouldn’t be interacting with a student of his.
After you left, Kento finally walked towards Hiromi, still uncertain if he should question his friend about the nature of your relationship with him. He could be imagining things.
But something was definitely disturbing him, he was sure of it. Something he couldn’t quite put a finger on.
“Kento, hi! Oh… I had forgotten, your firm is nearby, isn’t it?” Hiromi asked while looking around. “Sorry, I always seem to forget where it is. That explains why this cafe felt so familiar. Care for a smoke?”
“No.”
“You haven’t smoked with me in a long time,” Higuruma offered, pulling his own cigarette pack from his coat’s inner pocket.
“I quit years ago,” Nanami reminded him, trying to put an end to this conversation detour.
“You still smoke on special occasions,” Higuruma offered, “eh, I wish I had your resolve.”
“You do, you just fail to direct it at things that will benefit you in the long run.”
“Just my little human shortcoming, I guess,” Higuruma finally replied, sparing Nanami a soft smile. He walked towards his car while unlocking it, “Let’s have something to eat, the coffee opened up my appetite. I just need to get more coins in case I end up going over the meter’s time limit, hold on.”
“Hiromi,” Nanami said once again, his tone graver than usual. That caught Higuruma’s attention.
“Hm, is everything okay?” Higuruma asked while leaning into his car.
Before Nanami could go on with his planned line of inquiry, he noticed what was over passenger’s seat. Especially the sunflower.
“Are you at it again?” Nanami asked, gesturing with his head towards it.
“Ah, you saw it…” Higuruma commented, as if he was a child being caught red handed while making a mess out of the house. “Well, yes. I’m trying to, and failing at it once again.”
“You know you don’t have to go, right?” Kento offered, while pulling some change from his pocket. “I have coins, we’ll be fine. Let me get you a snack, this cafe has the best casse croute around.”
“I do have to go, though,” Higuruma closed the door and stepped back onto the sidewalk. “I should, at least.”
Higuruma’s earlier energy seemed to wane ever so slightly, his shoulders falling while he slouched, unconsciously making himself smaller.
“I don’t think I’ll manage to do it today, either,” he finally said, his eyes low on his feet, and his voice barely above a whisper.
Assessing the situation, it was clear that Higuruma was in no way in the right mindset to have that conversation regarding you, so Nanami put a mental note on it to ask about it at a later time. He stepped beside Hiromi and put a hand gently on his shoulder, sighing.
“Is it low tar?” Nanami questioned, clearing his throat to disguise his displeasure.
“Hm, what?”
“Your cigarette. Is it low tar?”
Higuruma huffed, a tiny smile forming on his lips as he said, “yes, yes it is.”
In a smooth motion, Higuruma pulled his pack back out of his coat and took two cigarettes out of it, handing one to Nanami along with a lighter. With the disposition of a man ready to face the electric chair, Kento pursed his lips around the cigarette, and lit it, only to be thrown in a coughing fit moments later.
“How the mighty do fall,” Higuruma noted with a discreet smirk on his lips, “you used to smoke more than me.”
“Shut up,” Nanami managed to churn out in between coughs, “this brand is awful.”
His friend chuckled while taking one long drag from his cigarette.
“Hey, Kento.”
“What?” Nanami considered tossing the cigarette as far as he could, but tried his best to survive it, even if just for Hiromi’s benefit.
“Is that offer still on the table? To…” Hiromi paused for a moment, clearing his throat, “hm, work in your firm?”
Managing to get his throat and lungs under control, Nanami glanced at Hiromi, knowing full well that good things came to those who wait.
Just like he had.
“Yes. Why do you ask?”
Hi, did you know I like to shamelessly plug people's work? No? So, yeah. I love doing that.

ELLIE PICS ARE TAKE BY ME PLEASE ASK PERMISSION AND GIVE CREDIT IF REPOST ‼️
The Aftermath (The Fight series)
heres part three guys (pt 1&2 are on my pinned masterlist)!! im SO sorry i havent posted in a while, ive had a lot going on :( i recently just lost a family member who i held very dear to me. ive had this fic rotting in my notes app but i didnt know if it was ready yet so i haven’t posted. ive just been reading lol. anyway, enough yapping!! enjoy part three 😌
WARNINGS: cursing, fighting, ig gore? (descriptive fight aftermath), awkwardness…
Ellie quickly and messily parks her truck in front of her place and runs to her front door, frantically searching for the keys she just once had in hand.
She immediately darts for the closet in her bedroom, not even bothering to close the front door. She curses under breath, completely destroying her room trying to find this weapon.
The second she feels the cold metal she grabs it and heads for her truck, remembering to close the front door on her way out.
Her car ride was vocally silent but her head was noisy with all of the gruesome ideas she had in mind.
The second she gets to her destination she sees her target sitting outside, smoking by himself. She parks the car, grabs her bat, and slams the car door, getting his attention.
“HEY DICKHEAD!” Ellie shouts at her best friends boyfriend, fear written all over his face.
*POV SWITCH*
You just hopped out of your quick shower and your mind has your moment in the car with Ellie on repeat. You almost got to the kiss part but your cinematic replay was interrupted by someone pounding at your front door. You frantically put your clothes on, slowly making your way to the noise. You look through the window and see one of your close neighbors outside. You hurriedly opened the door, worry filling you at her panicked state.
“Hey is everything okay-“
You quickly get interrupted, “OMG. You HAVE to get Ellie! I was on my home and I passed Ellie approaching your boyfriends house. She had a bat in hand and-“
“Wait, wait. Ellie what?” You question in shock, not even bothering to correct her on your relationship status.
“Look I don’t know why but she had this angry expression on her face and I don’t think he’s safe.”
Your face dropped. But she promised- no. She didn’t promise. You start to remember her reassurance in the car and realize she hadn’t actually promised. You mentally curse at yourself. How did you not catch that? You grab your keys and head to your car, thanking your neighbor for the warning.
You’re driving quickly, keeping an eye out for cops. You’ve never felt more rage in your life. She lied to you. But she didn’t? You asked her not to do anything. How could she do this? As questions keep flooding your mind you finally reach your exs house, seeing Ellie’s rusted blue truck parked out front.
You quickly find any empty space you can find and park, your parking job being the least of your concerns. You turn the car off, not even taking the keys out as a result of your rush. You hurried out of your car screaming for Ellie.
“Oh my gosh… Ellie! Stop it! Get off of him!” You run toward her, still shouting at her.
Ellie’s completely blacked out. You’d seen Ellie get into some pretty bad fights but for some reason the fights from tonight were so… horrific. You truly felt traumatized. You didn’t think your exs physical state could get any worse, but it had. You can see how he laid there, limp. You shout at Ellie once more, finally snapping her out of her enraged state.
She looks up at you sees the horror on your face, an expression she prayed to never see again. But there you were, hovering over her and your beaten ex. You can see him barely gasping for air. You start to question if he’d still be breathing if you got there just a moment later.
“I-I can explain,“ She starts, trying to break the silence and explain herself.
“No Ellie! There’s no explaination for this! I asked you to not to do anything to him and you told me you wouldn’t. You know how terrifying it is to be coming out of the shower and hearing your neighbor banging on your door trying to warn you about your best friends rage? Ellie you almost KILLED him-“
“He deserves it!“ She comments, trying to justify her actions.
“Whether you think he deserves it or not, you shouldn’t have done that! You can’t just go beating people up, Ellie! If I didn’t come in time you would’ve killed him! You know you can go to prison for that? You need to learn to control yourself!” You yell at her, your rage turning into to panic at the thought of what could’ve happened if you didn’t show up on time.
“I’m sorry, angel-“ She reaches toward you, trying to put her hands on your shoulders, but you step back.
Your face scrunches at the name, feeling the pain in your chest at the sound of it falling from her lips, “No. Don’t touch me. And no more ‘angel’. I dont want you calling me that, anymore. You want me to believe you’re sorry? Take him to the hospital right now.”
“Me?! Why… What- What do I even tell them?” She stammers, unsure of this idea.
“I don’t know, Ellie. Figure it out. You wanna make it right with me? Take him to hospital,” You pause, inviting yourself, “I’ll go with you but if we don’t leave now he could die!” She deeply but briefly looks into your eyes, nodding and lifting and guiding his limp body toward her truck.
(timeskip to next school day)
You hesitantly walk through the halls, suddenly very aware of your surroundings. It’s weird… when you walk with Ellie you’re not worried about who surrounds you. She’s like a ‘scary dog privilege’ for you. But her absence has left you on edge, eyes never staying in one direction, scattering the halls and observing every individual. You see a few people looking at you in shock. NO ONE has ever seen you two apart.
You start to think about when you pulled into your parking spot this morning and saw the empty spot next to yours.
Ellie wasn’t at school.
You were still upset with her but you felt so anxiously alone you didn’t care. You just wanted her here with you.
Your mind starts to question how your day will pan out, “Where do I eat for lunch? Who do I eat with? How am I gonna do lab without her? How much more of this awkward staring can I take?”
It was in this moment that you realized how heavily you relied on Ellie. You both were a duo that couldn’t survive solo. You’ve been inseparable since you were six. You never spent a moment, outside of your own homes, apart. Hell, you both barely even spent a moment apart IN your own homes. As you mentally kept questioning everything, there was one primary question on your mind:
“How am i gonna get through today without Ellie?”
Your questions started taking over your thoughts, causing you to lose focus of where you were walking, bumping into someone.
“Oh! I-I’m sorry-“ You look up and realize who you’ve bumped into. You look down and push past, trying to exit an interaction but he calls for you.

I think my fic where Xander accidentally becomes a successful novelist (largely without realizing it) is the funniest idea I’ve ever had. This guy started writing little stories to remember their adventures in Sunnydale (his last line in Chosen about “how will anyone even know about this unless we tell them” burrowed itself into my little archivist brain and won’t let go) and posts them online. He unintentionally goes viral. He thinks someone named Simon N. Schuster is leaving him voicemails. He ends up on the New York Times bestseller list.
He doesn’t even realize that everyone else thinks the stories are fiction. Xander is out here writing autobiographical non-fiction but everyone else thinks he’s a weirdly dedicated author that’s really committed to maintaining a Lemony Snicket style pseudonym/persona for the narrator of his novel. There are “Who Is Xander Harris?” articles. No one can dig up much of anything on him because he lived his whole life in a town that got wiped off the map. He keeps rejecting requests for interviews because of his stage fright. At first this drives his publicist absolutely ballistic but it just adds the the air of mystery that’s drumming up book sales so she lets it go.
He only responds to questions over email and only ever responds “in character” as his “novel’s narrator” and this baffles everyone, only adding to the supposed mystery. It’s literally not even Xander actually writing the emails 95% of the time. It’s Dawn. She has appointed herself as “Xander’s representation” even though she doesn’t really know what being someone’s representation means. She printed business cards.
#meanwhile the rest of the scoobies are doing everything in their power to stop this book’s publication#it’s a total comedy of errors on every single front#tagging this so claire can filter it lmao (ily claire)#xander Harris#btvs#buffy the vampire slayer#dawn summers#Dawn’s business cards are maybe the funniest part of this me and I truly think this whole thing is hysterical#xander is letting her take care of all the business stuff which is a huge part of why he has no clue what’s going on with the book ever#but also <3 he is a little bit dumb <3#but also genuinely he just doesn’t care about the business side of things all that much#he really was just writing little stories bc he loves his friends and wanted to remember the times he’s shared with them#and as a way to remember/grieve everything he’s lost. friends. anya. Sunnydale as a whole.#he’s just a little guy who’s so loyal and full of love and thank god Dawn intervened lmao#and now he’s sort of just along for the ride on the publication process#Cristina if you see this is also love you thank you

english prof just left LOADS of feedback on my essay omg this is so exciting
#personal#the english chronicles#FINALLY!!!!!!!! someone who doesn’t just slap an a on it and call it a day#most of it is picking at me for passive voice use and my really shitty conclusion paragraph BAHAHA we were limited to 3 pages#and i was really struggling to cut it down bc. the prompt i chose involved 7 different concepts like give examples of these concepts in this#short story but i also had to Define and Explain the concepts and then there was also the intro and conclusion and header block and it’s#double spaced like 3 pages is rlly not enough for this prompt if you want to give a genuine critical analysis. so my conclusion was#extremely short and shallow lmfao but yeah. he also left lots of praise 😌 AND! he left audio recording for everyone?? like damn okay you are#a prof who genuinely wants to see his students improve thank you thank you thank you 🙏🏻 yes i only got a 90 which i think is the lowest ive#ever gotten on an essay but idc my respect for him just Shot up. also only four of us got A-range grades so i still feel p okay abt that#and i started the essay night of so all things considered this could have gone worse lol#also i got the top score on the exam last week so still riding that high (i needed the ego boost so bad guys 💀) but anyway. i think he’s#retiring after this semester tho this is so tragic he’s also just a rlly fun nice guy in class too like i would 100% take him again#but yeah. i will concede that i fall into passive voice a lot without realizing it so glad he said smth abt it i will be more mindful 🫡#also i guess i did a couple page citations incorrectly it has been a minute since i touched mla and i thought you could either segue into a#page citation like on so and so page they say this OR do parenthetical in-text citation at the end of a quote but he only wants the#parenthetical type ever. not sure if this is a flat rule of mla or just teacher preference i will b looking into this#edit okay looks like flat rule for mla. my bad 🙈 i only did the segue thing twice instead of the parenthetical citation thankfully

my favorite type of characters are always sidekick type of characters so that's the only type of character I ever make but they still somehow KEEP... FUCKING.... ENDING UP IN CENTRAL/ LEADERSHIP/ FACE ROLES IN THE PARTY
#thank you elyss's party I love you elyss's party#I get to be taciturn and cautious and serious and it's somebody else's job to drive the plot and do the talking most of the time#I'm in so many campaigns where either everyone else decided to play Just A Guy Who's Vibing#or where my character just happens to end up being the most qualified to take point or best positioned to find themselves at the center...#a big source of juniper's anxiety is that she can FEEL that she was supposed to be supporting cast sdhjfghfdj#fortunately fengling takes a leadership role pretty often too but june's still way more central than she wanted#felix would absolutely have ended up being The Guy which he would hate SO MUCH#but his party had two braincells between the four of them and they were both felix's#THREE different flavors of 'and I am just a himbo who's kind of along for the ride :)' guys someone has to DRIVE...#about me#my OCs
