well see, that's an interesting question. how do i describe a lack of something? how do i explain what it feels like to not feel something? i don't know how romantic attraction feels, so i'm not sure if i can explain it to you in a way that makes sense. i'll try though?

i don't fall in love. the things i experienced that i assumed were "crushes" didn't have anything to do with dates, or marriage, or imagining a future together. it's not to say that i didn't care about them, but it was all very... vaguely defined. i would think "wow this person is so pretty we should kiss" with absolutely no thought to what a "relationship" with that person would actually entail. i just didn't even consider it. i think it's partly why long-distance relationships have worked so well for me lmao

despite that, i still enjoy being close to people. i care about my partners a lot and i want them to be happy. when they can visit me, i enjoy going out and doing activities together, but in the same way i would enjoy going out with a friend or a group of friends. i'm equally happy in both situations, i love when my partners can meet my friends, and we all do things together.

i've struggled for years to try and separate my platonic feelings from my romantic feelings, and what i discovered is that there is no separation. i feel absolutely no distinction between them, which i've been told is not how it works for other people. my gf tells me there are some things she absolutely would never do with her friends, because she's not romantically attracted to them, which doesn't make any sense to me at all. like, why not? what's the difference? i never understood that, because there is no line.

one thing that i just recently figured out, and was the reason for a lot of what i thought were "crushes", is that when i feel very close to someone, i want to open up about sex and sexuality and my sex life. it's where my brain goes from "confirmed friends with a person" as the "next step" of intimacy. i don't even necessarily want to have sex with them (although sex with friends is awesome), but i imagine it's what being alloromantic is like? when you talk to your friends about dating and love life and stuff? i want to talk about sex because it's the next level of intimacy for me, the thing i want to use to invite people deeper into my life. society assumes that sex = romance, that if you want one you must want the other, and i confused myself A LOT.

and i've always loved romance novels. i've written and read plenty of romantic stories, original and fanwork. i find romantic relationships compelling because of the inherent messiness of entwining your life with another person or people. intimacy is vulnerable and cathartic and allows you to be yourself with someone else who has the same freedom. i don't believe that i need to be able to feel romance to reach that level of intimacy with someone, so i enjoy being in relationships that allow me to reach a deeper understanding of myself and others. being polyamorous and a relationship anarchist also helps me craft relationships the way they work for ME, not whatever society says they should be

oh i am totally happy to share! it's mostly not really information that's new to anyone, so here is a glimpse into the beast that is my ccc spreadsheet (there is a little bit of spoiler censoring happening in these images)

basically i track what happens in each chapter! i have two different trackers just so i can at a glance see who I've spent more time with and developing in order to balance out the relationships and friendships a bit. I also try not to go too long without certain chats appearing like obviously the main chat with everyone, and also loscar and galex i try to feature pretty regularly

this is the one i use the most in terms of making sure things are balanced and spread out okay with the many existing and developing relationships in this fic, and my criteria for each ranking of development changes based on the day and my mood so don't put too much stock into it... it just gives me a rough idea

I have a few questions about Echo!

1) when did she know she used to be Darkrai? My guess is at Dark Crater, either when she first laid eyes an Darkrai and just *knew,* or something about Palkia's speech about what could happen to Darkrai after being attacked in the portal.

2) what caused the scar on her neck? (Probs darkrai tbh)

3) alright so this is probably me overthinking things but did Echo change genders?? Asking cause Darkrai is typically referred to as 'he/him', and he has a distinctly masculine voice in his movie. Plus, it also makes sense with Darkrai and Cresselia being opposites: Cress is canonically a female while Darkrai is depicted as a male, full moon vs new moon, sweet dreams vs nightmares, day and night, light and dark, and so on. So did Darkrai go from he/him to ???/??? (as a 'human') to she/her? Did Darkrai just not give a shit? Have we been accidentally misgendering Darkrai this whole time?

Basically I'm asking b/c 1) confusion, and 2) is it another layer of symbolism about how Echo is nothing like her former self?

The truth about Echo's past life as Darkrai clicked the moment she first met Cresselia within Azurill's nightmare.

Not only did she piece the truth together because the sight of her long-lost sister-- someone she had scorned and despised and hated in her original life-- jarred her so much that it cleared away some of the fog in her memory. But it was the feeling. The rush of anger, of fury, the ache she felt upon seeing Cresselia again after years and years of separation. It awoke something inside Echo that felt real in a way she couldn't ignore. Like a puzzle piece finally slotting into place.

And even more, Echo had her suspicions leading up to said point. She cannot dream at all. Not ever. Never figured out why during her time as a human and Eevee, and yet other Pokemon tend to suffer nightmares around her (even as a human, this ability Bad Dreams never went away) which had caused some pain for both Sora and Grovyle over the years. And Echo never shared the secret that she doesn't dream. She never confessed to suspecting that these nightmares might be her fault, so Sora and Grovyle never understood the origins of their own nightmares either-- but Echo was able to deduce that she was indeed the source of the problem. Especially after Chatot had explained that Darkrai caused nightmares and pain wherever he went, and the correlation between Echo's powers, her amnesia, her sudden appearance on the beach, her life with Grovyle in the dark future, the Dimensional Scream/connection to the Time Gears, and Darkrai's personality were too coincidental.

What solidified this conclusion is that while Cresselia was traveling with Team Wish during their attempts to reach Dark Crater, Sora did not suffer nightmares at all-- for the first time in what seemed like ages. And it was a like a gut punch, a vicious stab in the heart, and Echo immediately knew why. It was because Cresselia was accompanying them, and her gentle light purifies bad dreams and brings good health. Someone that could cancel out the nasty effect Echo seems to have on others... and it did. Cresselia DID cancel out these nightmares and that could only mean one thing.

And Echo was angry, then. Angry at Cresselia. Angry at herself. And fueled that anger towards fighting Darkrai for the sake of everyone she loved.

You're right! The scar on Echo's neck is indeed from Darkrai. In fact, both of Echo's scars (the large one along her neck AND the one denting her leg as an Eevee/Umbreon or rather on her arm as a human). Each one was received technically at the same time, but with a twist! During the final battle at Dark Crater, Echo and Darkrai both went berserk and clashed in a desperate attempt to knock each other out.

Echo inflicted a wound onto Darkrai which took sizeable chunks out of his forearm. When Palkia shattered the dimensional portal it then instantly scarred that injury and Darkrai then carried it through ALL future lifetimes. Which is why Echo still has that scar as a Human -> Eevee -> Umbreon. Despite Darkrai receiving this injury during the peak of their final battle, Echo has bore it for all of her past lives up until the point she actually GIVES it to Darkrai. A new wound for him. An old wound for her.

Simultaneously, Darkrai inflicted the neck scar onto Echo who then carries this mark the rest of her life as an Umbreon. It's a bit of a coincidence that her neck scar ends up somewhat, strangely, resembling the red fringe that Darkrai has around his own neck. She finds this to be some kind of messed up joke being played on her by the universe, because now there's ANOTHER reminder of her old life being thrust in her face whenever she catches a glimpse of her reflection. (It's bad enough looking like Dusknoir as an Umbreon, but now this too? How unfortunate.)

A major purpose to these scars is that I think they are a bold (albeit complicated) way to show that both your past and present choices can cause self-harm when destructive, and that it can leave permanent marks that will haunt you through your entire life (or lives in this case!) but that in the end it doesn't define you. Despite everything, you can still grow beyond the trauma inflicted upon yourself. You can be more than the bad choices that hurt you. You can learn to live beyond your own perception and expectations! You can let go of your own mistakes and let them heal/scar, let them fade. And move on to be better.

And my friend, you are not overthinking things. I haven't explained Echo's progression through her life-stages yet, but hopefully I can shed some light on that topic now. (Apologies ahead of time if this is overly convoluted!)

Echo did change gender! Like this:

(Darkrai) he/him or they/them -> (Human) they/them -> (Eevee/Umbreon) she/her or they/them

The reasoning behind this particular progression is that I am guilty of inserting the main game lore into PMD. Whenever I think of legendary or mythical Pokemon (that aren't officially assigned male or female like Latios and Latias) I always immediately think of them as nonbinary in my mind. Darkrai in the PMD universe seems to use male pronouns as mentioned (or rather in the movie, like you stated, had a male-presenting voice) so I think Echo would have used he/him as a personal preference while living as Darkrai. However, he was still technically "genderless" as a mythical (or even nonbinary) and thus was comfortable with they/them as well.

Echo as a human is nonbinary and no longer uses male pronouns. I like to think of them as Echo's "blank slate" form. They think, feel, and appear in very simple but strong terms. And as such their gender binary has been washed away too! They use they/them because it's what Grovyle chose when he met them in the dark future. Grovyle decides that Echo is human based on what minimal knowledge he's gained from ancient tales/myths/glyphs about extinct humans, but he has no idea what a true human would look like since humanity is long dead. And since Echo has no distinct male or female characteristics as a pseudo-human, Grovyle doesn't shove them into a specific box of labels and instead starts using they/them to accommodate. Echo accepts it. Besides, with both amnesia clouding their past and a body that doesn't quite fit, Echo never really felt compelled to argue against his decision. It seemed counter-intuitive and like a waste of energy to argue. Echo was too busy being angry about other things to really care.

Echo as an Eevee/Umbreon uses she/her pronouns. This is because Sora starts using them immediately upon meeting Echo on the beach, and Echo (with a second round of amnesia and a body that now presents more towards female appearances) accepts it because it just makes sense. She has no memory of her past, and because Sora wholeheartedly starts calling Echo "she", well, Echo just goes with it. Because someone as sweet as Sora must know what she's talking about, right? She doesn't seem like the type to lie or play pranks, after all.

Additional note: Even as an Eevee/Umbreon, Grovyle still uses they/them for Echo since that's what he's used too. And Echo is fond of him using it anyway, so she is comfortable with it. It feels like a little promise between them. And it brings back some of the sparse good memories Echo had with Grovyle while stuck in the dark future together.

Additional ADDITIONAL note: Once Echo and Cresselia have begun reconciliation and start repairing their sibling relationship, she often refers to Echo has her "brother" out of old habit (eons of habit, really). Cresselia normally apologizes for the mistake and tries to correct herself but Echo isn't bothered by this at all. "I'm still your brother," Echo tells her, "If that's what you want to call me, then I see no reason to stop." And Cresselia appreciates it, because she's really trying, but it might take a little bit to re-train herself.

And you got it, my friend! The change in Echo's pronouns IS symbolism about how Echo has grown/evolved beyond her original self. That she is no longer the same being of pain and fury that Darkrai was-- and that she has moved away from this shadow of her past. That she has struggled to become something she's proud of, someone tempered by patience and hope. Love has changed Echo, and thus Echo is happy with this new version of herself because her loved ones chose it for her. And she is okay with that!

I also really enjoy the idea that while Echo and Cresselia are still opposites in both powers and personality, they now share common ground on at least ONE thing after being entirely different for their whole mutual existence. They can relate. They can be siblings again. They can heal. And they do together, they work and work and work on being good to each other and being overall better individuals. And they learn to love each other again. <3

Fuuta x Minato (oc) ~ The first section takes place right after his T2 interrogation, and then skips ahead to a tiny post-milgram scene :3 I hope you enjoy!

Fuuta thought he would drown. Not sink into water or anything like that; he was worried the voices filling his mind would completely suffocate him. There were too many of them. Too many people, all of them knowing every dark corner of his mind, and shouting into it. It should have been impossible for one voice – one softer than all the rest – to reach him.

Then again, everything about that voice should have been impossible.

“Fuuta… Hey, Fuuta… Are you alright?”

He blinked. He scrambled over to the nearest wall. There were no visible openings in the cell, not a single imperfection across any of the surfaces, yet Milgram’s intercom system functioned just fine. Most days it would just deliver the ear-rattling bell to tell him the time. On bad days, it carried Es’ summons to the interrogation room for his extraction. On worse days, it carried Es’ summons to the courtroom for his verdict.

On the very best days, it would bring him the voice of Hoshizawa Minato.

(Though, seeing as he had just returned from a catastrophic extraction, he wasn’t sure what type of day it was yet.)

He tore his attention away from the chorus of judgements and insults. He pressed his shoulder against the wall, still unsure where the sound was coming from, but knowing it was nearby.

“I’m here,” he said, hushed. More than anything he wanted to yell and scream, but he would never risk it, now. Minato had gone through a hell of a lot to break into Milgram’s systems, and he wouldn’t let his big mouth ruin all that. It had already ruined just about everything else.

“How are you holding up?”

Fuuta pressed his lips together. “Any news on getting us out of here?” was all he said.

Hundreds of miles away (or perhaps next door – neither of them could really know), Minato’s fingers adjusted his headset.

“I’m still working on it. These things take time.” 

“I’m definitely gonna need it after today.” 

“Your interrogation… I know.”

Fuuta pulled his hood down tighter, tufts of ginger hair ruffling underneath. “How much did you see?” 

Minato’s eyes flicked over to another monitor. It displayed the files he’d gained access to a few hours prior. It would crush Fuuta to hear about yet another person peeking into his personal moments, so he opted for a non-answer.

“I don’t have cameras. I don’t see much at all.”

“Tch, I’m not a damn idiot, I know that! I meant, how much did you hear?”

“...Everything.” 

Fuuta squeezed his eye shut. He bit a curse back. There came silence.

Minato actually double checked some of his monitors, making sure they hadn’t been disconnected.

“So then, you know,” Fuuta said at last. “There’s no fucking way I’m getting forgiven this time around.”

“You can’t be so sure. The–”

“No one in their right mind would forgive me after that.” He winced, remembering his harsh cries at the end of the interrogation. What kind of accused murderer shouted “I’ll kill you” as their plea of innocence? When he wasn’t running his mouth with threats, he’d been pleading with Es like some kind of coward. And Minato has heard all of it. Fuuta could only imagine the horrors that the extraction held. Who could forgive him after they saw his anger, or worse, his pleasure? Who could ever look kindly on someone like that?

“I would.”

Fuuta’s eyes widened. He let himself sink further into the wall. A strangled laugh escaped him. He let his head hang down. No matter how much he wanted to protest, Minato was as honest as they come. If he said he forgave Fuuta, he meant it. 

“Yeah, like I said, no one in their right mind.”

Minato cracked a smile. 

“You don’t think I’m in my right mind?”

Fuuta scoffed. “You post pictures of clothes for a living. And in your free time, you plan impossible jailbreaks for murderers. Doesn’t sound quite sane to me.”

“Aw, come on. Do you think it’s impossible?” 

Minato was still smirking, ready for some more of their typical back and forth. Fuuta surprised him by pausing. 

“Well, it should be impossible. But…”

They’d been speaking for some time now. Whether it was quick comments when Es wasn’t around or long conversations into the night. Fuuta had seen many sides of him, and knew that he had what it took. He wasn’t like the vast majority of internet personalities – weak or needy or inexperienced. He’d proved himself time and time again. If anyone could pull this off, it would be Minato. 

“If it’s you… there’s a chance.”

“You’ve got that right. You can count on me, alright?”

Fuuta took a deep breath. The tightness of the uniform and the bandages seemed to lessen.

“Although,” Minato put on a falsely serious voice, “we’re gonna have a long talk when you get out… about that yellow jacket you own.”

“Haaah? What’s wrong with my jacket?’

“There are a hundred stylish ways to wear it and that was not one.”

“The fuck does that mean?” 

“You’ll be grateful when someone who ‘posts pictures of clothes for a living’ helps with your wardrobe.” 

Fuuta could feel his chest release even more. Minato spoke so easily about the future, as if it were something real and waiting for him. 

“As if I’d let you touch any of my outfits.”

“As if you could stop me!”

He took another breath. He smiled. No drowning today.

After checking the clock fourteen times, Fuuta thought once more couldn’t hurt. It was still two minutes to noon, just like the last few times he’d checked. His frequent checking hadn’t brought the train to the station any faster.

Minato had told him that he was safe. He’d said this meeting wasn’t that big of a risk. The dust had settled. He just had to relax. 

The announcement overhead signaled the next stop was his. It screeched into the station, a slight murmur rising as the doors opened onto a platform of moving people. 

Fuuta lowered his head. His eyepatch would surely draw attention to himself, so he kept his hood down and his mask up. He just needed to make it to the station entrance. 

He made his way around stiff businessmen and sticky children. He tried to shuffle around a young man, but he seemed to step further into Fuuta’s path. Giving the stranger a quick glance, he started to mumble something to squeeze past. 

“Fuuta,” the man said, gaping in surprise. “It’s me.”

He inhaled sharply.

It was only three words, but it was enough to recognize his voice from a thousand conversations. 

Fuuta’s eye widened as he took Minato in. It was strange to finally see his face. Finally, here was the person he’d spent hours talking to. The person he’d spent days passing the time with. The person he’d spent nights falling for. Here was the one who had saved his life, in more ways than he could count.

His first observation was, fuck, this guy is way outta my league. His next was, he’s shorter than I was expecting. Then, gah, I’m probably shorter than he was expecting. He was in the middle of realizing, he has the nicest smile I think I’ve ever seen, when Minato crushed him in a hug.

Fuuta returned the embrace. His arms tightened around Minato. He was real. He was here. Fuuta’s hands grasped at his clothes and his hair. He was unable to control a laugh bubbling up inside of him. 

“You did it. My god, you did it.”

He breathed into Minato’s shoulder. His chest shook with some laughter, some tears. 

For a moment wondered if people would notice the heartfelt reunion outside of the train, then he realized he didn’t care in the slightest. 

Minato was laughing along with him in that beautiful, familiar voice of his. No more crackling speakers or hidden intercoms – he spoke right into his ear, hair tickling his cheek. Fuuta could have stayed forever in his arms, just like that. All that mattered was he felt safe. At last, he felt happy.

if you wanna be reeeally technical and clear cut then i think it’s kinda obvious this is a bit of a troll answer 😭 akutami is basically calling gojo a useless leech in the first part LMAO. but i do think it says something about gojo’s character!! my own take is that when he does fantasize about not being a sorcerer (which, like akutami said - it’s unlikely that he ever does), he fantasizes about being pampered and free from responsibility <3 as he should be!!!!!

as for the mommy issues 👀👀👀 i will always support gojo having them. i think it adds flavour to his character. but i definitely don’t think that’s what akutami was implying with that answer 😭 i doubt gojo thinks about his mother much at all. but the idea of him having a subconscious longing for maternal love is tasty to me… for hurt/comfort purposes….

anyway <3 bottom line, i definitely agree that gojo would need someone who understands him (even if i don’t think anyone really could). when he falls for someone i think he sticks to them no matter what, and i doubt age is a real factor in that :3 don’t get me wrong i do think he deserves a hot sugar daddy boyfriend but that’s just me being me. i really don’t see him caring about age much at all!!!

what happens with achilles in your story if the Trojan war never happens?

I am so glad I saw this before I fell asleep (And thank you very much for the question!!)

The short answer is: Achilles (along with a few others like Diomedes and Odysseus) is one of Athena's champions and one of the leading generals in the combat against the creatures of Erebus! Each god has their favoured champions/heroes and each of those people play a key role in maintaining what little order is left in the world.

The long answer is: due to the whole 💫 completely impromptu, unplanned and unprophesied apocalyptic situation of the Divine Light of the World completely disappearing 💫 Hera, Athena and Aphrodite had to completely squash their argument started at Thetis' wedding because there was simply too much to do. Achilles, therefore, is set down a completely different path to immortal glory, same with many other familiar faces from the Iliad (and wider greek mythology). On the bright side, he still hates Agamemnon's guts considering Agamemnon, even in this world, is his direct superior. Likewise, he also still spends an inordinate amount of time getting banged by Patroclus (who is one of Ares' champions) despite the whole literal apocalypse occuring around them. So really, Achilles will always be Achilles 😀👍🏾

if someone gave you unlimited budget and time to put towards making a movie/show and you could make it about anything you wanted what would you make it about?

ohhh man this is hard. i have a few things.

in terms of shows:

1.) make a toh season 4-6 OR the original pilot universe of the owl house the way dana had in mind. preferably probably a pilot toh universe spin off.

How exactly does Focaccia's stand work?

The best way to think about how her stand works, is to understand Prosciutto's stand. Prosciutto's aging is sped up for bodies with higher temperatures i.e more body heat. Bodies naturally create heat in various ways. Fire Woman has the ability to move the heat from one place to another kind of like how steal conducts heat, it's a vessel that moves the heat. The easiest example would be, Fire Woman concentrating a portion of Focaccia's heat on the palm of her hand, she touches someone else and Fire Woman moves the heat into them. It can burn/melt/tingle them depending on the concentration.

Can she touch the fire that her Stand creates or does it affect her too?

It affects her too! Fire Woman needs precision control. If Focaccia is not careful with how her heat is concentrated, the fire will burn her externally too. It is part of her lore that she burned someone else/herself due to her terrible control. It is also a reason she is scared to using her stand and needs training from someone (wink wink Prosciutto) to be able to handle the abilities. Once in control, she can touch the fire without much consequence, it can just take a lot of her energy so she may become tired.

Can she change her body temperature with no consequences?

No! Focacia has to be careful with how much body heat she shares. Her body heat naturally fluctuates and needs to be kept at stable temperatures. Her body also creates heat a certain rate. This means that if she releases her body heat (say transfer it to an object by FW) too fast and her body cannot recreate the heat fast enough, she is susceptible to hypothermia. Similarly, if she absorbs too much heat too fast before it is released, she will get hyperthermia. Still, with enough practice, she can induce hypothermia in other people, by completely absorbing their heat.

I hope these answered your questions and made sense! Her stand was originally made to assist with the train fight against Bruno! If she could heat up the train car fast enough, Bruno would age faster, gaining Prosciutto and Pesci an advantage!

What doesn't he excitedly tell everyone.. Something he's particularly eager to announce is when the troupe has arrived at a new town, Vitor is so so so excited and will make sure EVERYONE knows. He's inherently a bit of a thrill seeker now and gets hyped to tell the others about something exciting happening in town. or the fun that could happen on a new adventure, ect ect.

31.When do they feel the most guilt? How do they respond to it?

This ones honestly hard! But I think he'd feel the most guilt when accidentally harming someone he was trying help. He'd feel downright awful to hurt a friend he was trying to cheer up! Vitor would scramble to try and make it better, apologizing or trying a new way to make whoever feel okay. Which could just overwhelm and make the feeling worse, but he's trying, you know?

50.What belief / moral / personality trait do they stand by that you (mun) personally don’t agree with?

Sam, unfortunately believes that certain systems aren't inherently corrupt, it's just that there's bad actors who abuse it. And if they just removed those people everything would run smoothly. But TBH. I disagree with their everything, they're just, they're kind, they'll throw themself in the face of danger to protect others, but their self sacrificial concept is ungodly toxic! Never trust a paladin to be normal!

56.If they’re scared, who do they want comfort from? Does this answer change depending on the type of fear?

They.. do not like showing fear. As a knight to show fear is to cast doubt on those who believe in you, depend on you, look to you for protection, you can't give them a reason to be afraid too. However, Sam does tend to seek comfort from positions of higher authority. In a backwards attempt at seeking comfort after being defeated for the first time in their current party, they asked their leader (Claude) if they would be kicked out for being weak. They also use prayer as a form of comfort, there is no fear with their goddess to guide them.

15.What’s the most obvious difference between their behavior at home, at work, at school, with friends, and when they’re alone?

This is really tragic but I think Sam just looks very forlorn when alone. They just.. carry themself differently. Everyone respects them as a strong unwavering figure but they're kind of mopey when left to themself compared to their headstrong and introspective presentation as a knight. They're not like.. faking it persay? But there's a different vibe.

4.What’s a hobby they used to have that they miss?

They miss sparring with the other knights in training at their old guild. They know if they were to battle old friends again, it wouldn't be for fun this time around.

17.What do they notice first in the mirror versus what most people first notice looking at them?

Uri tends to notice any physical changes w/their body right off the bat when looking in the mirror, they're very aware of their form, so they tend to pay attention to necrotic developments w/their freak body (Thrilling for them.) And most people tend to notice their height (or lack thereof) first.

21.What common etiquette do they disagree with? Do they still follow it?

Handshakes and not kicking up your boots on the table. Handshakes feel like they're a competition to whoever got the strongest grip, n it feels like a formality only used by people trying to not rip each others throats out. They follow it though.. out of respect (sometimes.) They're gross with the boots thing but a cowpoke don't care. Look at their shiny spurs.

Worst gift to their sensibilities? Christmas Day. 1922. Received a gift by the one and only Victor "Charlie" Shelley. It was the mascots, Titled Mister Georgie, suit for the underdog baseball team Underdark Spiders

More of a positive misinterpretation, bc of Uri's cowboy life, they follow the code of payback. If you scratch their back, they'll scratch yours. People don't do favors often in the underdark, and when they do, you don't want to be in debt to em. So They don't take kindness for granted or understand people being nice for the sake of being nice. It takes them awhile to understand. That people do favors without wanting things in return! It makes them feel very odd when realizing, but it's nice, isn't it? To be able to expend energy without cost?

46.Are they a listener or a talker? If they’re a listener, what makes them talk? If they’re a talker, what makes them listen?

Sammy is definitely more of a listener, while they'll insert their opinion when they feel necessary, outside of life or death discussions they tend to be more quiet n prefer listening to their friends talk. A pretty easy way to get them to talk though is asking about, well, morals, even if they don't know whats wrong from right anymore it is something they think about a lot. Like I personally don't think they're together but can't deny their chemistry during their last tour and do kinda think things happened. this is So Old i tried to answer it like five times over the past few months and then i always got sidetracked i'm so sorry

(big disclaimer because of course we don't know anything about them and their private lives, as always this is just complete speculation!!)

anyways, i definitely think there was something in the past, but i don't think it ever evolved into an actual relationship as we traditionally intend it, not even at the height of the eycte tour. if there was indeed anything, it was probably a situationship/illicit affair where they started fucking (i really can't point out the exact moment because part of me says they crossed the line in 2016, but another part of me is convinced something happened even before that, maybe as far back as the recording of taotu). in both instances they came out of that period being Not Okay TM and like. being weird about each other and i think that's very telling

but regardless of when they actually started exploring each other's bodies i think in general there was always a latent attraction, both physical and emotional/romantic, going on between them from the very start. and what we saw in 2016 was the coronation of that, in a way. but again, i don't think it ever turned into an actual relationship, and i definitely don't think they're together now. does that mean they're over each other? absolutely not, in fact i think they never got over each other and doomed themselves to a life of longing for each other and occasionally falling back into the old habits (iykwim). i imagine it to be very difficult to get over someone when they also happen to be your best friend that you have history with + a bond that is, to put it simply, one of a kind.

will they ever fully commit to each other? i don't know, and i don't think that's the point either. i think the attraction between them - platonic, mental, emotional, romantic, sexual, you name it - is still very much there, and it goes so much beyond those categories, and that's what's so beautiful about their relationship <3

29. What recurring dreams do they have?

Often some amalgamation of previous adventures, some good some bad. She might occasionally dream up an adventure that happened in 1.0 but with no way to recognize that she'll just chalk it up to some weird nonsense dream that had Shtola in it before she was blind. There are times where she dreams of her loved ones being torn from her inexplicably. Nightmares of Shtola vanishing in another gust of wind, G'raha turning to crystal, the Twins getting hurt because of her, Thancred stupidly taking a hit for her, ect... Those ones are often the worse to wake up from. She'll be frazzled but find it far too hard to explain why. She doesn't want to keep bringing those moments up again and again everytime, y'know? She'd rather just say it was a bad dream and go back to sleep.

I'd like to think she'll often get dreams of the First, too. Not the first that she remembers, but the one that Adbert lived in. The memories deeply embedded in the soul which joined hers rising to her sleeping mind. Those are good dreams: flying around on Seto, sharing a meal with friends, walking through villages and forests that were long lost to the flood, things like that.

Finally there's the one dream she never quite understands: she's drowning. That's all there is to the dream. Sometimes she looks up to the surface of the water, she sees a sky she can now recognize as the marker for the final days, but she can never will herself to swim up towards it. She just sinks. and sinks. and sinks. Until she wakes up gasping for air.

Its weird for Arsay seeing as she can't drown anymore, nor did she ever once have a near death experiences while out at sea. Maybe it's one of those metaphorical dreams. She just hates how real it all feels.

(a question for when you have time again) What do the stones for the cloaking brooches in Only Brooches look like in their rough/natural form? Do they form any interesting shapes naturally?

Ooo! I had to think about this one for a bit because I was torn between two stones but then I realized that since this is my AU I can do whatever I want :]

Since a majority of the stones for cloaking brooches are formed from drops of crystallized Empyrean, they’d look similar to raw amber.

However, some Empyrean doesn’t fall right away and crystallizes in a form akin to stalactites. The cloaking stones made from those stalactites look like solar quartz in their raw form :]

It should be stated that stalactite-formed cloaking stones are the most rare and almost exclusively form in the colors of red and brown (with two color exceptions being blue and yellow). Big Mama, surprisingly, has failed to claim a monopoly on them due to their natural banding clashing with her aesthetic. The only ones who can afford them are high class yokai, however.

Ok, but then they would have to actually meet and it would be so unhinged and I need to see that. I believe there would be a lot of distrust, and a lot of cheekiness (especially on 1999 Killua's part). And maybe judgement (because of how obvious they are), and at the same time, respect (because of their abilities.)

But the real question would be: what would Manga Killua think of them? Imagine!

Another question for Mako! (This time featuring Saph!) Long question time!

How do they feel about each other's little siblings? Since they're both very protective of their own younger siblings, we wonder how that dynamic would go. Also, how would they feel about them meeting up? Would Charlotte and Finley be friends? Because they're kinda in the same age range. Give us the story of how they met each other's families!

this one is so interesting bcuz i have thought about this a lot !!

First meetings:

-Finley and Charlotte actually meet at the old Yureyu HQ when the kids are held captive there. He just peeked in on her with curiosity as Mako and him would sometimes go in and out of the building for things.

She noticed him and they started talking and quickly bonded over gushing about their cool older siblings. Basically a sassy cool girl and sunshine boy friendship dynamic.

-Mako did not know Charlotte personally, but she still pushed her out of the way of one of Blake's icicles in Victory Road. Charlotte got some respect for them after that.

-Saphira saved Finley from Sirius in Victory Road and brought him back safely to Mako. At the time, he was the younger brother of a Meteor member she did not trust, but she couldn't leave a child all alone. She also felt like she owed Mako after they protected Charlotte.

Once all of them get to know each other:

-Mako thinks Charlotte is pretty cool and sometimes joins in on teasing Saphira with her.

-Saphira thinks Finley is a little naive, but doesn't fault him too much as he's only 15, and it was mostly Mako's influence for keeping so much of the bad stuff Meteor did from him. She cares for him nonetheless.

The protectiveness over their younger siblings is the main reason Saph and Mako actually were able to bond in any kind of way, as Saphira despises Meteor for everything they've done.
